this update, emergency crews are assessing the extent of damage
on the West Coast, where there's been a severe battering
of rain. The deluge has forced people to leave their homes,
caused slips and brought down trees. A local state of
emergency remains in place for the southern part of the
West Coast. Westland Mayor Helen Lash says the worst looks

she says cruise will be out and about over the
