this update a warning about scams when shopping online for
Boxing Day deals. A new report shows New Zealanders have
lost two point three billion dollars to scams this year,
mostly through online shopping scams. Net Safe tips for out
smarting scammers include shopping only with verified retailers, sticking to

secure payment methods, and checking banking activity regularly. Deputy Chief
Executive Andrea Leask says people should also be wary of
deals that look too good to be true. Scammers are
masters at creating urgency, and if a deal seems too perfect,

Retailers are hoping for a boom on the back of
a weeky year for spending, with many customers still feeling

summer is on the cards for Queenstown Lake District Forward

Air Airline bookings are up six percent from this time
last year, with about two hundred thousand people scheduled to
visit over the holiday period. Mayor Glenn Lewis says Queenstown's
bucking the trend when it comes to tourism. He says
the hot spot has bounced back strongly from COVID and
is the country's only airport to have more passenger arrivals
than in twenty nineteen. Infrastructure upgrades on the wider Upper

train line mean the passenger service will be closed for
a month and a half. It's part of a wider
suite of upgrades which will also see buses replacing trains
between Wellington and Petoni, Melling, Johnsonville, Pai Kakariki and Masterton.

Remutuka tunnel is in need of an upgrade. The line
