In this update, Biosecurity New Zealand is determined to prevent
an entrenched fruit fly population growing after a single male
fly was found in South Auckland. There are restrictions in
place around removing fresh fruit and vegetables from around where
the fly was found. Biosecurity New Zealand Commissioner Mike Engels
