In this update, it's another day of wintry conditions for
much of the country, while fairy sailings continue to be
disrupted by large swells and strong winds. Across cook Strait,
a cold front is bringing the cooler temperatures and southerly winds,
but is expected to move north tonight. Met Service meteorologists
Matabelo Magabutane says there's currently showers and Cooks straight and

A heavy rain watch is in place for Hawks Bay
until tomorrow morning. In a heat wave that's brought soaring
temperatures to Australia's southeast should ease as bushfires continue. Patchy
rain and showers are forecast for Victoria and mostly below
average temperatures. Firefight is a battling blazers in the Central
Goldfields region and near bender Go, and a bush fire

has been burning in Grampians National Park for two weeks now.
A proposal for greater education on the danger of cancer
from drinking alcohol, and the US Surgeon General the McMurphy,
is pushing for reassessment of consumption guardlines. He wants alcoholic
drinks to carry a cancer warning label. Locally, more than
one thousand cancer cases stem from alcohol each year. Alcohol
