this update. Extreme wildfires continue to ravage Alas County in California.
At least five people have died and thousands are fleeing
the area. Five out of control fires are scorching more
than eleven thousand hectares. Many businesses in surrounding areas have

been forced to close because a bad air quality in
Los Angeles is covered in a layer of smog. The
Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trades says there are no
known fatalities or injuries to New Zealanders. Meanwhile, in New Zealand,
firefighters are still trying to put out a major vegetation
fire east of Panga Ray. Two properties were evacuated yesterday

when the twenty hectare blaze broke out in a narrow
gully near Nahi. Fire and Emergency estimates it'll take about
three days to extinguish the fire. Northern advocates Denise Piper
says steep hills have been giving firefighters the most trouble.
