In this update, more resources have been deployed in Los
Angeles as one of several major wildfires moves inland. At
least five fires have burned through fifteen thousand hectares across California,
where one hundred thousand residents remain under evacuation orders. Eleven

people have died, with officials warning the toll will likely rise.
The Palisades fire is eleven percent contained, but is moving
inland towards communities near the Getty Center and UCLA. CNN's
Julia Vargas Jones seyes a hill near Brentwood has turned
to ash this morning. When we got in, the fire
was at the crest of these hills and it's just

Back here a large vegetation fire and the Coramandel is
under investigation as crews continue to battle flames on the
front line. Three helicopters and four ground crews are battling
the thirty six hectea blaze, which broke out just before
four yesterday afternoon north of forty Younger, a young person
has died after falling from a cliff at Hahey Beach,

while another was rescued. Emergency services responded to the scene
at the Corimandel Beach around eight last night. The person
was found at the bottom of the cliff face in
a critical condition, but later died at the scene and
a second person was rescued. Bad news for some travelers
heading home today, with big swells and cockstrait canceling at

Into Irelander canceled the Ada Teddy crossing from Wellington jew
at four pm and the return trip from Picton at
eight point fifty, saying all affected passengers have been moved
to other times. Met Service has forecast southerly winds with
very rough seas and a southerly swell up to four meters.
Bluebridge hasn't canceled services, but warned sailings Jews during this
