this update, Health Minister doctor Shane Retti could be stripped
of the portfolio in today's cabinet reshuffle. Prime Minister Chris
Luxon will reveal changes to his lineup of National Party

there's been recent speculation another minister would step in to
deal with Health's complex governance issues and major deficits. So
I mean Brown's expected to be that minister, knocking Ratty
down the rankings from fourth place. Brown currently holds Transport,
Local Government and Energy portfolios, and the move could see
him passing one or more of these on to another minister.

Thirty pilot whales have restranded on a Golden Bay beach
after attempts to refloat the mammals were unsuccessful last night.
Project Jonas says medics are working with the Department of
Conservation staff to mobilize the whales on Pakawo Beach, with
another refloat due to take place about now. The pod
were first spotted in near Farewell Spit yesterday afternoon, before
