this update, Simeon Brown's being put in charge of the
health system. As a result of today's cabinet reshuffle, Shane
Retty has lost the Health portfolio and has been knocked
out of his fourth place spot on the National Party list.
Doctrretti picks up the universities, Science, Innovation, Technology and statistics portfolios.

Prime Minister Chris Luckson says he's not lost confidence in Doctorretti.

He's going to do a great job on universities in
the science sector and that's a very important job for us.
But what we need as the skills that Simeon Brown brings,
which is delivery and execution.

Mister Brown's new role sees Transport move to Chris Bishop
and Energy and Local Government moved to Simon Watts. Nikola
Willis says she's delighted to add economic growth to her responsibilities.

A scrub fires broken out again on Auckland's buying Aty Mountain.
Three crews and a water tanker are at the scene
of the blaze, which began about quarter past three this
afternoon on the mountain's ridge. Fire in Emergency New Zealand
says it's working to contain the thirty by thirty meter blaze.
Fire crews had left the mountain this morning after extinguishing
a three hecta air blaze at the same place overnight.

Optimism in the South Island's Golden Bay, where a second
refloat attempt is underway for a pod of stranded whales.
Thirty of the whales are stranded. Three have already died.
Efforts to refloat the whales were not successful last night
because of low tide. There are some two hundred locals
and holiday makers at the beach helping. TikTok may not

been found, with women's top seed Arena Sablenka cruising into
the last eight with a straight sets win over Mera Andreva.
In straight sets, Sublenka beat her seventeen year old opponent
six to one, six two in just over an hour.
Despite the easy nature of her win, Sablenka felt otherwise.
