Good afternoon. I'm Raylen Ramsey. This is your afternoon news
fix for Tuesday, the eighth of November. The Finance Minister
says Acting Reserve Bank Governor Christian Hawksby will replace Governor
Adrian Orr for six months. He takes over from August eighth,
and will keep the role during the search for a
permanent governor. He is Political editor Jason Walls.

Nichola Willis says Hawksby is an experienced central banker and
this appointment will help ensure the Reserve Bank's continued integrity
and operations. She says a major part of his new
role will be implementing the Bank's five year funding agreement,
which will apply from July.

The Foreign Ministers not entering speculation on the impact of
tariff's and potential trade wars. Countries are responding to the
US President Donald Trump's sweeping trade moves, including much higher
tariffs for some. Treasury is forecasting it could push up
