This is NEWSFACS in this update. The death of a
young man in Hamilton overnight is being treated as a homicide.
Police attended an alter cat reportedly involving two groups on
Alexander Street just after midnight. Four people were injured at
the scene, but one of them, a twenty year old man,
died in hospital a short time later. The other injuries

ranged from moderate to serious. A manhunt is now under
way to locate those involved, including the offender. Alexandra Street
is currently cordoned off between Collingwood and Hood Streets, and
the road is expected to remain closed through the day.
New roads, hospitals and schools are amongst six billion dollars
worth of government funded construction due to start between now

and Christmas. There's eight hundred million dollars of school property
projects and three point nine billion dollars worth of roading projects.
Infrastructure Minister Chris Bishop says that includes the Maling Interchange
and the Autachy to North of Livin Expressway.
