this update, Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown and christ Church Mayor
Phil Major have won second terms with huge victories in
today's local elections. Andrew Little is the new mayor of
Wellington and Ken Laban is the new mayor of lwer Hutt.
Sophie Barker is leading in Dunedin, and Tim Mcendo leeds
in Hamilton. Election. Reporter Michael Sergele is following developments.

We've got results of Upper Hut, where the country's longest
serving mayor, Wayne Guppy has been unseated after twenty four
years in office to Perry z. Wellington mea Torri Faro
has also lost her bid for Wellington's Mardi ward.

Our newsroom sat down with re elected christ Church Mayor
Phil Major following his decisive victory. Mister Major says he
was confident he would win, but says it's very satisfying
to win by such a large margin. I'm very very happy,
