In this update, emergency services are currently at the scene
of a two vehicle crash on State Highway IE near
Karapiro in Waikato. Police were called just before three o'clock.
No injuries have been reported, but the crash has caused
damage to the median barrier. Motorists are being told to
expect delays while emergency services and contractors work at the scene.

Forestry workers are welcoming more flexible health and safety guidelines.
Work Safe has released a new approved code of Practice
for the forestry sector after it reported the highest number
of deaths for any sector last year. WorkSafe hopes the
new code will reduce harm. Faara's Forest Protection Services Managing
Director Kevin Ihaker says the rules previously were very prescriptive,
