Hour One: Clean Water Starts at the Stolee Farm!

Wednesday's First Hour: Bob Quinn is at the Stolee Farm near Radcliffe, Iowa for today's Clean Water Wednesday event sponsored by the Iowa Agriculture Water Aliance! He kicks off the program with IAWA Communications Director Rebekah Jones discussing the projects they are working on and makes the announcement of their partnership with iHeartRadio all season long to tell the stories of farmers working on conservation. Heath Stolee talks about the success he is having with the wetland on his farm in taking out nitrates and discusses the cover crops he's using. Iowa Corn Growers Association CEO Craig Floss gives a look at the message they are conveying to farmers and programs they are working on promoting cover crops. Iowa Pork Producers Association Pat McGonegle chats with us at the end of the hour about the establishment of the Iowa Ag Water Aliance and the ways pork producers contribute to the quality of water across Iowa.
