Speaker 1 (01:55):
Bye bye. Hi, good evening. Welcome to the Delilah Show.
Who is this?

Speaker 4 (02:06):
This is Jonathan and Amanda.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Hello, Hi Jonathan and Amanda, Welcome aboard. What are you
two doing on this almost summer night.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
We're just solling. We got some food and we're at
the park right now, just hanging out, the two of us.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Yep, Amanda, are you wearing a cute little summer dress?
And you guys have like a picnic basket? Because this
is like the picture in my mind is too darling.

Speaker 4 (02:32):
Oh no, actually it's nighttime here in Connecticut and we're
just in Pj's in the car.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Well, you know, kind of like a little summer dress,
a cotton frock and a checkerboard blanket. Kind of. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:51):
Hopefully soon, hopefully soon I get any off.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
What kind of food did you stop and pick up.
At least tell me it's something delicious and not just
like French fries.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
It's not too far off. We got we have some
Subway sandwiches and a foot long cookie that we're so
ready to try.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Yes, I've had those foot long cookies from Subway and
their foot long chiros. I've well, I shouldn't say i've
had them. I bought them for my children. I may
have had a few bites, one or two, no more
than three. All right, what can I play as you
enjoy your little picnic in the car? Uh?

Speaker 4 (03:28):
We want to request everywhere by Fleetwood Mac?

Speaker 1 (03:31):
Ah, how are you? How do you kids even know
about Fleetwood Mac?

Speaker 2 (03:36):
I showed him the song.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
It's a good bit. We liked them a lot.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
They're wonderful. Can you imagine when I was growing up,
Fleetwood Mac and Elton John came out with like the
first double albums that were like eighteen dollars a piece,
which was unheard of back then. Goodbye yell Brick Road

(04:00):
and Fleetwood Mac was at Tusk. I think Tusk was
their double album that came out when I was in
high school.

Speaker 4 (04:08):
Thank God, the Spot of thought. We get to go
back into the past. Listen to all the great hits.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
I will play that for you. You guys, have a
fun night, a fun picnack, have a great night. Bye bye.
Hi Elizabeth, How are you tonight?

Speaker 2 (04:34):
I'm well?

Speaker 1 (04:34):
How are you? I am wonderful? Are you excited about
summer and all the beauty that you're going to get
to enjoy?

Speaker 2 (04:43):
I really am. I'm so happy to have my kids home.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Are they out of school now? They are? What can
I play for your family? Are you doing anything fun tonight?
Are you just hanging out?

Speaker 2 (04:55):
So I'm actually calling to have you dedicate a song
to my husband.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
Tell me about your hobby and what you want to
tell him.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Well, he is the most wonderful person in my life.
We actually have an awesome story. I've had a crush
on him as a little girl. He was my brother's
best friend, and then we grew apart. Years later, I
found him on Facebook and then we just fell in love.
And now we've been married for well, we've been together

(05:26):
for twelve years, married for nine and he just he's
been struggling the last couple of days, and I just
want him to know how much he's appreciated and how
much his family loves him and is so grateful to
have him in our lives.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
So is he still friends with your brother?

Speaker 2 (05:42):
He is, as a matter of fact, and my parents
are friends with his parents. We spend all holidays together.
We don't have to pick sides. That's the best marriage
you could ask for.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
So it sounds like you two were meant to be
from the very beginning, like God had this planned out
long before you figured it out.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
One hundred percent. I feel emotional just talking about it.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
When you were younger and he was your brother's friend,
what was it about him that made you have a
crush on him?

Speaker 2 (06:13):
He was a really sweet guy. He picked on me
a little bit because you know, he had to, but
he just was a genuine person. He never strayed away
from his character or his morals. He was always one
hundred percent bought on with who he wanted to be,
even as a child.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
And do you have children together?

Speaker 2 (06:36):
We do. We have a four year old son and
a seven year old daughter and they are such a blessing.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
And is he raising them with those same values, that
same strong character that I mean, that's a silly question.
I know he is, or you wouldn't be gushing like this,
but uh, I take it he's he's a dan good daddy.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Yes, ma'am, he definitely is. He's He's just a wonderful
person all the way around. I don't think I don't
think he has an enemy in the world.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
I'll sign the perfect song for this beautiful family. What
a great story, What a great story, Delilah, Thank you,
thank you. Have a good night, honey, you too. Welcome
to the Delilah Show. Hi. Who is this?

Speaker 3 (07:25):
My name is Melissa. I'd really like you to play
a song for my younger sister.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
What's your sister's name and what do you want to
tell her on the radio?

Speaker 3 (07:34):
Her name is Robin. And when we were younger, we
fought like cats and dogs constantly. Now we get along great.
We hang out almost every single day. She takes me
out of my little shell that I like to cover
myself in, I guess you could say, and gets me

(07:54):
out and to do things like going bowling and stuff
like that. And if you had told me twenty years
ago that we would be like the best of friends,
I probably would have laughed.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
You want to know who knew that might happen? Who's
that your mom? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (08:12):
She probably did.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Your mom? Who at times probably wanted to say, would
you too stop fussing at each other?

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Absolutely, my little sister. I tormented her. I was so
not good to her, And now I would give anything
to go back and undo that because I love her
so much. But boy was I a horrible big sister.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
See it was the opposite for me. She kind of
terrorized me.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
Oh, I totally terrorized my little sister. Totally terrorized my
little sister because I think because I was so jealous.
I don't know who knows why, Only God knows why.
All I can do is I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
My sister and I did some pretty bad things to
each other when we were younger, so I think it
was more mutual than just her being the terrorizing.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
What song is on your heart?

Speaker 3 (09:14):
Could you please choose one for us?

Speaker 1 (09:17):
I will do that. Are you going to call her
and tell her to listen?

Speaker 3 (09:20):
Yes? I will.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
Okay, you have a great night. Thank you for letting
me be a part of it. God bless you.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
Thank you you too, Delilah.

Speaker 1 (09:32):
I so hope you have enjoyed these radio moments as
much as I enjoy bringing them to you. I'll share
more with you each weekday on Hey, it's Delilah
