Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Do So, what in the world is going on in
your world?
Speaker 1 (00:22):
Are you busy? Are you chasing your dreams? Or are
you chasing somebody else? Don't do that. Don't ever chase
somebody else. If somebody is meant to love you and
be in your life, you won't have to guess where
they are or play guess how I feel, none of that.
(00:43):
There won't be any of that. There'll just be a
comfortable knowing and you'll know. You'll know that this person
is meant to be by your side, whether it's a
sweetheart or a best friend, You'll just you'll know, and
you won't have to work for it or chase after it.
(01:04):
You should be chasing after fun this summer and like
the best lemon ice that you can possibly find that
is worth chasing down, Ali, what can I.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
Do for you?
Speaker 4 (01:17):
I just wanted to hear a song because I am
in love with someone that will not admit that they
are in love with.
Speaker 5 (01:24):
Me too, because theything I'm too young for them.
Speaker 3 (01:27):
How old are you?
Speaker 4 (01:28):
I'm twenty how old is he?
Speaker 6 (01:30):
Thirty two?
Speaker 2 (01:32):
That's not too young. You're both adults. But maybe it's
not that he thinks you're too young for him. Maybe
in his mind you are too young for him. Therefore
he's not going to go there with you. That could
be If he's saying that that's an issue and he
doesn't want to, you know, have a relationship with you
because the age difference, then maybe he's not in love
(01:53):
with you the way you want him to be.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
If I said to somebody, I would, you know, love
to be involved with you, but and then gave a
reason why I couldn't, it wouldn't be that I wasn't
admitting I was in love with him.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
It would be that I didn't want to be in
love with them. Yeah, because if I want.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
To be in love with someone, it doesn't matter. I
will overcome any obstacle to be in love with them.
If he wants to be with you and date you
and be involved with you, he'll get over the age difference.
If he's not going to get over the age difference,
forget about it.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
I know, forget about it.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Find somebody that you don't have to convince that's just
there and crazy.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
In love with you.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
I'll try. I try every day I do.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Let me find a song for you. Thank you, Hi
to Neil. What can I do for you?
Speaker 4 (02:49):
Just kind of on this big crush here. I've been
in love with the same guy for a decade now,
and we're the best of friends and everything, and I
don't know. I've just been in love with him. We're
soul mates and he knows that, but he doesn't get
the whole like he loves me. He tells me that
I love you, I'm and loved you, but I don't
want to settle down or whatever. And it's been like
(03:10):
that for ten years, and I'm just kind of sad
and broken harder because like I can't find anybody else.
We both have kids now, but those relationships didn't last because,
like I said, he's in love with me, I'm in
love with him, but he seems to be sitting on that.
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Well, Deanil, you just have to ask what do you
want in life? Do you want a committed relationship? Do
you want something that's more traditional and more solid? Then
you gotta let go of this, even though you love him,
and even though he loves you. You need to say, Okay,
I'm going to love you forever. I get that you're
gonna love me, but I want more out of life.
I want X, Y and Z.
Speaker 4 (03:50):
I know, but I get kind of scared when I
do say it to him. We have these big talks,
but my fear is that if I do say that
that he's going to say, okay, then I don't want
to get married. I don't want to do that. I
don't want to do that, and then we're never going
to see each other again. You know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
You cannot live in fear that if you are honest
with somebody that they will run the other direction or
they won't love you. Love is letting go of fear.
You're right, So you need to be able to be
honest and say this is what I want and I
see in my future. Okay, all right, let me find
a song for you.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
Thank you for calling. This is Delilah, Hi.
Speaker 5 (04:39):
I just wanted to talk to you about my one
sign that's really close to me. But I have had
a crush on him for like five years now. He's
really important to me.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Okay. First off, what's your name Erica?
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (04:55):
And who is the crush guy?
Speaker 5 (04:58):
Andrew.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
Okay, so does Andrew know that you're crazy about him
off and on?
Speaker 5 (05:04):
But I don't think he really gets it.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Off and on.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
He's aware of it and then he forgets it.
Speaker 5 (05:11):
Well, it's more like I kind of deny it a
little bit and then just push it off because I
don't want to ruin our friendship because he's like one
of my best friends. Hmmm.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
But if you really care about him, how do you
know this friendship couldn't turn into something even more amazing.
Speaker 5 (05:28):
Because it's we've tried that, like I mean slightly tried it,
and it's more like I don't know. It's like he's
the same way. He just stutters at it and doesn't
want to go there, like it's just too scary.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
Okay, Well, in that case, I guess you're going to
have to be satisfied being exactly where you are right now,
and if anything is to happen in the future, you're
just going to have to trust God to open those doors.
Speaker 4 (05:55):
Yep.
Speaker 5 (05:55):
I guess.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
So in the meantime, every time you see him, your
little heart's gonna go pit or past and you're gonna
act like, oh no, I'm cool, it's cool, I'm not
stumbling all over myself, tripping when you're around acting completely foolish. No, No,
I'm completely fine.
Speaker 5 (06:13):
I don't know, it's just cover every single time, like
every single time he even texts me, it's just like,
oh my gosh, and it's not like you just we're
just friends. I guess like it's never going to be more.
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
I will find a great song for you, and I
think you should just cherish the friendship and see what
happens in the future. All right, thank you, Amy, What
can I do for you?
Speaker 6 (06:43):
I have a friend that's like a brother to me,
and lately I'm just persually like we're growing apart. And
I just went out tonight that he asked out this
girl that just to me kind of came out of nowhere.
It was kind of the reason why I'm just feel
like we're growing apart.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
So he's not a he's not just a friend. He
somebody you have a crush on.
Speaker 6 (07:03):
Kind of like lately, I mean, he's kind.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Of you have a crush on him, and it's killing
you that he's dating somebody else, but you don't want
to admit that.
Speaker 6 (07:16):
Well, I've been feeling like we were growing apart for
a while or two, Like before, I had feelings for him,
and I'm lately I think, I guess over the past months.
I started feelings for him, and this girl came along.
He was going out with her, and it hurts pretty bad.
I was crying like about an hour ago.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
So you have a wicked, big crush on him.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Does he have any clue?
Speaker 6 (07:36):
I think he might. I'm not sure he knows that.
I feel like we've been growing apart. And I told
him I I need to talk to you, and he
said okay, and he heard my voice shaking over the phone,
so you know, I was upset. But he just hasn't
mean any time. Then when he does have time, he
hangs out with the same people over and over again.
So I'm kind of loft here waiting for him.
Speaker 2 (07:56):
Don't do that, honey, don't wait around.
Speaker 6 (07:59):
I know trying to figure that out today.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
Yeah, no, don't ever put your life on hold.
Speaker 3 (08:06):
Go live your life, Go have fun.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Don't stare at the phone, don't wait around, Do not
do that. If you two are meant to be, it
will happen in time. But you sitting around driving yourself
nuts waiting.
Speaker 3 (08:21):
That's not good. Let me find a song for.
Speaker 5 (08:25):
You, all right. Thank you.
Speaker 1 (08:29):

much as I enjoy bringing them to you. I'll share
