Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast. Hey it's Delilah.
Every night on my radio show, I take a variety

(00:22):
of calls from people from all walks of life, and
today I want to share some of those wonderful calls
with you. Hi, good evening, you've called the Delilah Show.
Who was on the phone line with me?

Speaker 2 (00:39):
Oh? Hi, Delilah, This is Glenn.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Hi Glenn, how are you this evening?

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Good? How are you?

Speaker 1 (00:46):
I am wonderful, I am blessed. What can I do
to make your night a little sweeter?

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Well? I just wanted to have you play a song
for my wife, Linda. We've been married thirty five years,
six years ago. Tonight we renewed our vows after some
little bad parts from my perspective, and she has been
gracious enough to stand by my side, and I want

(01:18):
to just tell her how much I love her forever
and ever.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
So is it your anniversary? Have you? Have you earned
the happy anniversary song? Or are we just calling because
you've made it? Thirty five years?

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Both right? Thirty five years back in July in six
years for our vow renewal.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Okay, happy anniversary, Happy anniversary, Happy anniversary, Happy anniversary. Congratulations.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Thank you so much, Delilah.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
What if you were to name two qualities that your
wife has that you just can't live without that's just
such an important part of who she is and your union.
What would those two qualities be.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Oh, she is probably the most giving person in the world,
and she just has a heart of.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Gold, so kind and generous, without a doubt. I'll play
a sweet song to let her know that if you
could do it all over again, you would do it
with her.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
I couldn't even think of anybody else I would do
it with.

Speaker 1 (02:34):
You. Have a great rest of your summer, honey, Thank
you for calling.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Thank you, Dlilah.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Good evening, Thank you for calling. This is Delilah.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
Hello, j Eila. I'm so happy to speak with you.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Thank you. Who's on the other end of the phone
with me, This is Barbara.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
First thing I'd like to do is say thank you
to you for being the wonderful person you are and
for all the wonderful things you do. I've been listening
to you for twenty nine years and you've helped me
through a lot of rough nights in those years, so
thank you.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
So are the nights rough now or are things a
little better?

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Yes? Yes, things are wonderful.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
And what can I play to add just another little
note of joy to that?

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Well? I was most blessed to be adopted by the best, best,
best parents ever.

Speaker 1 (03:46):
All right, Barbara. What are your folks names?

Speaker 3 (03:49):
Dev and Al?

Speaker 1 (03:51):
And are they still with us or have they gone
to be with God?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
Well, they're with me always, but they're with God in heaven.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
Well, thank you for calling. Thank you for the kind words.
I'm glad that I've been a blessing. And let me
play the song to honor them and the love that
they poured into you.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Thank you, thank you, Thank you so much. Jill Eila, Hi.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Good evening. You've called the Delilah show. Who is this good?

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Even?

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Deliah?

Speaker 5 (04:28):
My name is Brian.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Hi, Brian, are you calling me while you're driving?

Speaker 5 (04:33):
As a matter of fact, I am all right.

Speaker 1 (04:35):
You drive carefully and tell me who is on your
heart tonight.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Well.

Speaker 5 (04:40):
I don't know if this has ever happened before, but
I would like to make a special dedication to you.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Ah. Well, thank you, And what do you want to
tell me via my radio waves.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
I thought of you said that in my long drive,
and I wanted to say thank you for everything you've
done for not just me, but for countless viewers. I'd
like to do one other thing and tlip the tables
on you, and I want to offer up your listeners
a little tidbit of wisdom that I live by is

(05:14):
love one another unconditionally. We all struggle, and the best
thing you can do for someone is just be therefore them,
be that soldier they can cry on, and just be
the best person you can be and lift people up
in prayer and be a Delilah for everybody.

Speaker 1 (05:35):
Well hopefully not with my bad temper, which you never
see on the air, but definitely exist off the air.
But there is nothing more important than loving one another unconditionally,
because in my opinion, there is no other love. If
you love someone with conditions, you don't love them at all.

Speaker 5 (05:54):
Amen, total Amen. So again, thank you for so much
loved buy me and countless other people. And may God
bless you, and thank you for taking the time to
talk to me.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
God bless you. Thank you for calling honey, drive carefully, Thank.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
You take care of how a good night.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Bye bye, Hi, Adri, Hi. Hell, how are you tonight?

Speaker 3 (06:25):
Great?

Speaker 4 (06:25):
How are you?

Speaker 1 (06:26):
I'm good? Who's on your heart?

Speaker 4 (06:28):
Oh?

Speaker 5 (06:28):
My mom?

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Tell me about Mama.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
Well, I have a great story to tell about her.
It starts back when she was eighteen. She had me
at a very young age. Her entire town turned their
backs on her because she was so young and no
single mother ekescept one guy. His name's Jimmy. He is
absolutely wonderful. He told her how he felt about her,

(06:52):
but being so young, she was so confused, didn't know
what to do. She moved away and moved in with
one of her sisters. That's where she met my dad.
They were married for about twenty years and I got
a wonderful little brother named Daniel out of that. And
my dad was in the Air Force and came back
and decided that he wanted to divorce my mom. And

(07:14):
so my mom packed up and once again moved back
with her wonderful sisters who take care of her. And
she wrote Jimmy a letter and let him know that
she was back in town. And she wasn't quite sure
about how he'd feel after you say, twenty years of
not seeing her, not hearing from her, and she gets
a letter in the mail and his first words on

(07:34):
the letter are I still love you. It was absolutely
made her heart melt. She didn't know if he'd still
want to see her or whatever, and they wrote back
and forth for about a week, and then after that
he started driving three hour trips over to see her,
and that started for a couple of months, and now
they are getting married.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
I'm glad that she has your support.

Speaker 4 (07:57):
Yes, she will always have my support of very very much.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
I so hope you have enjoyed these radio moments as
much as I enjoy bringing them to you. I'll share
more with you each weekday on Hey, It's Delilaud.
