Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, it's Delilah. Thank you for stopping by. I have
put together some of my favorite radio moments here to
share with you on our daily podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Hey it's Delilah.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
Today we're gonna mash up a bunch of great callers,
some from the past, some new, some old, all of
them fabulous. Good evening, you've called Delilah.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
Who is this?

Speaker 3 (00:34):
Hi?

Speaker 4 (00:35):
This is Dni.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Oh my god, Delilah, Welcome aboard.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
How is your September night going?

Speaker 4 (00:42):
It's going wonderful. I just thought to call and can't
believe I got so Wow, you got through.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Now that you're here, darling, what can I do for you?

Speaker 1 (00:52):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (00:52):
I had some stuff to go on and I had
my sister to die in December and one of my
co workers got me a card and got everybody to sign.
And he's really really special to me and we only friends,
and recently I asked him what was he gonna do
about me crushing on him? And I know it's really

(01:14):
it's really special and it means a lot to me,
and he's right about workplace romances. But he was a
very special, special special person to me at you know,
touch my heart that he will go out the way
and do something like that for me after losing my sister,
and he just sort of stepped up and he just,

(01:35):
you know, just became my code to person and I
just started having some feelings all the way for him.
And I don't know where it's gonna go, but I've
just been dying to get on the show just to
talk to you.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
So you're crushing.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
But he's set in the boundaries saying we can't do
that work co workers.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
He did tell me under different circumstances he would have
jumped on it because we worked kind of close together.
They don't have rules set up, but he just knows
that in the past. You know the statistics about work
playing romances, it can be like a train rake. So
we're just trying to keep it safe. But I don't
know where all least stillers came from. But I just

(02:16):
thought about Delilah, and I'm just so grateful I'm able
to get to it.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
And you said maybe if I called her, she could
give me some wisdom, because did you know, I messed
up really bad one time with a workplace romance. I
got the feels and even though there were boundaries set,
I just I had to have what I had to have.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Despite the fact that God was saying no no, no
no no, I was saying yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yeah.
I'm glad this man has more wisdom than I did.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
Yes, yes, I say, one of us has some sense.
That's what I've said.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
There you go, there you go. Well, God bless you.
I will play a song for you. I'm sorry for
the loss of your sister, but I will find a
song to bring your heart some joy.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
God bless you.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
And continuat and everything that you do your three Thank you.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Good night, hun Kathy. Hi, this is Delilah. How are
you tonight?

Speaker 3 (03:20):
Great?

Speaker 1 (03:21):
You wrote me a story, your story and your family story,
and I was so touched that I had to call
you and see if you would share with our listeners
what you shared with me via email about your grandma
and grandpa.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Oh yeah, it's actually my husband's grandma and grandpa.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Okay, well they're yours.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Now they're mine.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Now you married him, you got the whole family mine.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
I love them and they have quite an amazing testimony
of love.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Oh, it is inspirational to watch them. You go over
and they sit together, and they hold hands and they
look at each other. It's just wonderful. And Grandma just
had a stroke a year ago, and you see Grandpa,
you know, assisting her and helping her and until he
does it because he loves her after all the years
of her you know, looking after him and taking care

(04:05):
of him. It's so heartwarming to watch.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
Now, how many years are all these years, seventy one
seventy one years.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
They don't even make a card for seventy one.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Seventy one years. That blows me away.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
We just had our eighteenth We were picking our wedding
day and you know, we went and this is book,
that's book so and so, it's got planned. This is
the day that'll work. And we went and we presented
it and oh, that's you know, grandma and Grandpa's anniversary.
And it's just so amazing that that was the day.
There must have been some reason for it.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
You told me in your email letter that you do
something special each year.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
We go and we all visit and it's just our
day and.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
You share cake with them.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Well, we shared a cake on our wedding day. We will.
My husband and I got married, we had a special
cake for Grandma and Grandpa had our wedding. I was
their wedding cake along with our That.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
Is wonderful, Kathy.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Next time you see him, tell them congratulations and give
him a kiss and a hug for me.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Oh will do?

Speaker 5 (05:06):
We'll do.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Hi. Welcome to the Delilah Shall Who is this? This
is Alena, Alena, This is Delilah.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
What can I do for you?

Speaker 5 (05:22):
My friend? She just broke up with her boyfriend that
she's been with for four years and it really hit
her hard. And I would just like you to pick
a song for her to take her mind off of it.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
All right, what is your friend's name? Why did she
break up with her boyfriend?

Speaker 5 (05:39):
Well, her boyfriend broke up with her.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Ah, yeah, so she didn't break up with him, which
is why her heart is so heavy, because it hurts
to get the boot. So what do you think is
worse being the one who has to break up when
you know things are not going to work out, or
being the one who gets dumped.

Speaker 6 (05:58):
I think doing the break up?

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Yeah, that's harder.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
It is hard when you know that something is just
not right, but you just don't know how.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
To say that.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Yeah, I will play a song for your friend.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
I'll play a song for you too, you know.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
Friday nights are called Friday Night Girls' night because we
encourage women to get together with their besties and to
talk things through.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
I'm gonna have to do that.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
You guys are gonna be my honorary Friday Night girls.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Okay, thank you.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Okay, you have a good night, you too. Bye bye, Ry, Hi,
good evening. You've called the Delilah Show.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Who is this him?

Speaker 4 (06:46):
My name is Vicky.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Hi, Vicky. How is your night going?

Speaker 6 (06:50):
It is going actually even better. I can't believe I'm
actually on the phone with you.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Thank you. Who's on your heart? Who are you thinking about?

Speaker 6 (06:59):
I'm thinking a little boyfriend, Jonathan.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
Tell me about Jonathan.

Speaker 6 (07:03):
We have been friends for eighteen years, and all those
years just being friends, different relationships, always being there to
help each other through everything. We never thought we'd end
up together.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
How did he move out of the friend zone into
the I'm so in love zone? Because once, once somebody's
put in the friend zone, that's a hard thing to
cross out of. Was it his idea? Did you just
start developing the fields?

Speaker 3 (07:32):
Like?

Speaker 2 (07:32):
How did that happen?

Speaker 6 (07:34):
So he was actually introduced to me as a friend
of my first husband, and so he became like the
uncles to my son, which is now twenty one years old.
But we met when he was four, and I've been
married and divorce twice now, and he's been all around
every time I need him, every time I didn't even

(07:57):
want him. There kind of can get on each other's
last years, but it seems like no matter what, and
just simply meant to be.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Ed.

Speaker 6 (08:14):
He needed a place to stay about three years ago
and I said, well, you're welcome to come and stay.
I didn't realize he hadn't developed feelings over this last year,
and I was like, I never thought of it that way.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
So it's finally your time, his time to be happy,
to be secure, and to be with somebody that you
cherish as a friend first and now have the feels.

Speaker 6 (08:40):
For after eighteen years, we finally get another chance to
do it.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Right after all these years.

Speaker 6 (08:48):
Yep, we even have a little one of our own now.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Congratulations, God bless you. I so hope you have enjoyed
these radio moments as much as I enjoyed bringing them
to you.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
I'll share more with you each weekday on Hey It's Delilah.
