L’artiste peintre taïwanaise Peihang Benoît (黃沛涵), lauréate du prix Chu Teh-Chun en 2009 et installée à Paris, est reçue dans les Balades Culturelles Franco-Taïwanaises à la suite de sa participation à l’exposition « Disobedient Bodies: Reclaiming Her » à la galerie Sundaram Tagore de Singapour. Dans ses toiles et ses céramiques, Peihang Benoît fait dialoguer nature et couleurs, et Aurélien Rossanino l’interroge sur son style ainsi que sur sa vision de l’art en tant que femme expatriée.

Peihang évoque également le One Atelier Paris, cercle anglophone et féminin qu’elle a cofondé, réunissant des artistes peintres de tous horizons établies à Paris. La conversation intéressera aussi les amateurs d’histoire taïwanaise, puisque l’artiste y raconte sa mère, activiste féministe, et esquisse en quelques touches l’évolution de la peinture à Taïwan au XXᵉ siècle.
