freaking out of it. I had people last night when
I was at to old man Franks, what happened to trivia?
(01:47):
I'm going to you know, we're moving it around to
give everybody a shot to try to win some prizes,
because we realized, you know, we had it at seven
o'clock and the same people were calling, you know and
getting in and winning the prime. And we want to
make sure that body gets a shot to win. So
we have moved it around a lot. Some people don't
like change. Angel I have found out that people, for
(02:08):
whatever reason, don't care for change. No no, no, It's
good for them.
Speaker 5 (02:13):
It keeps them on their toes, listen longer, stay engaged
with us. Something that maybe Russ we could maybe either
revisit later on today or maybe save it for tomorrow.
But I didn't realize the hornet's nest no pun intended,
or the drama that it is. This argument that's been
going on for quite some time about the state bird,
(02:33):
and there has been a large contingent of people that
have been wanting the scrub j to be it. And
apparently there's a lot of big money, big big money
behind the Flamingo.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
And that's where the drama is.
Speaker 5 (02:47):
The scrub j actually represents a bigger representation as far
as presence in the state, whole state of Florida.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
How is it that the flamingo has big.
Speaker 5 (02:57):
Money, apparently big money in the sense of South Florida millionaires.
Speaker 4 (03:03):
I want that to be the bird that's representative.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Here's just crazy too.
Speaker 6 (03:07):
There's a conspiracy thing that I thought the Texan Service
was saying as well.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
The scrub jay has actually had a lot.
Speaker 6 (03:12):
Of support behind it, but they're specifically lawmakers and lobbyists,
including like NRA former n RA head Marion Hammer, who
calls them lazy and murderers for eating other birds eggs
and links them to a welfare mentality, and that's why
they don't have The SCRUBJ is our bird.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
Yeah, there's a lot of drama there.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
Man. Yeah, I did not know that.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
That's crazy. It's just a damn bird.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Uh well, you know, I don't know. I thought the
Flamingo was a good choice.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
But.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Flamingo was a bad choice. Bad choice for that. So

Here we go. There are three current NBA teams that
have won every NBA Finals they've ever played in. The
Toronto Rappers Rappers, What's Canada? The Toronto Raptors one on
their first and only NBA finals. The Denver Nuggets won
(06:27):
on their only appearance. Who's the third team?
Speaker 10 (06:32):
Oh my god, I love the NBA two.
Speaker 11 (06:36):

The Grizzlies, the Rockets, the Rockets, The Rockets is incorrect.
Who do you want to help? You've got Angel, You've
got Ryan, you've got BB caliber, and you've got Ambernova.
Who do you want to choose? I'll over here, Angel
Angel Rivera Angel. There are three NBA teams that are
won every NBA finals they've ever been in. Toronto Rappers
(07:04):
is one. The Raptors is one.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
You went from Canada. We gotta shout, hey, what's all
this beef in a boot?
Speaker 3 (07:11):
The Denver Nuggets is another one. Who's the third team
that's won every single finals they've ever been in?
Speaker 4 (07:19):
Chicago Bulls.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
Oh yeah, that was like a super easy.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yeah, that is like literally not even a basketball guy.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
That was Yeah, how many have they won? Six? Yeah,
it's exactly. Yeah, they won all six of the finals
they've been in, and all six of the finals they've
been in.
Speaker 5 (07:36):
That's why the greatest basketball player of all time he's
never lost to Lebrun.
Speaker 2 (07:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
Again, we're going off of that particular stat. Yeah, one
of those guys can't say that about their career. I
don't care about the minutes. I don't care about the
thousands of games and double digits. I don't care about
any of that crap. One player six and zero and
NBA championships.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
That's it, and that should in the argument right there, right.
Speaker 5 (08:03):
When you're arguing with me, When arguing with me and
my pettiness.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
That's where we end.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
Congratulations, he got it right for you. You are the man, Alan, Alan,
how long you have been listening to show? Buddy?
Speaker 4 (08:15):

a month and a half ago.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
With what Oh it's the oracles husband, the.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
Oracle, the Oracle, I'm our husband.
Speaker 4 (08:26):
I know, I understand.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
You should have been cool, like I've never even heard
you guys before.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
All right, Alan, man.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
He does he's a p one.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
All right, we appreciate your listen, buddy, congratulated, have a
great holiday. Okay, all right, thank you you too. All right,
but take care, plan failed moving back.
Speaker 8 (08:51):
I like it better at this hour.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
Actually, why are you more awake?
Speaker 10 (08:57):
I haven't?
Speaker 11 (08:58):
I like it much better at this Why I think
it's it's it's much better, it's smoother.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
What's the.
Speaker 8 (09:07):
Different people? Yeah, you're not say something different people?
Speaker 4 (09:11):
Idea?
Speaker 6 (09:11):
Yeah, there's there's if you if you had to pay
different than different people.
Speaker 3 (09:16):
If you had to pick a team, what what NBA
team would you have picked?
Speaker 8 (09:21):
Canton Clark see you that.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
I didn't think she would know a NBA team? BB
Caliber do you know NBA teams. So you couldn't have
guessed what.
Speaker 8 (09:32):
Lakers I heard.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
I heard you the first time you yelled Lakers Celtics.
I said, now the one that's good?
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Yeah, ga one more? You do one more?
Speaker 3 (09:41):
Hey? So Angel is that argument you know from Michael
Jordans and uh and Lebron is still out there.
Speaker 5 (09:49):
I mean, like, yeah, it's it's like it's one of
the It's like sports radio, Uh, you know evergreen that
if you if you don't have anything, you throw that
out there and then they'll go forever. There's gotten now
even today there guys, there are guys that have made
their whole entire broadcasting careers hating one player or one
player or another. Yeah, and they'll pit them against There's
(10:09):
some of these things like me the same way that
we do with you know, let's say, you know, like
what we always joke about it if we don't have nothing,
we talk about pipples, abortion or whatever. It's so those
kind of topics are ever green. So like when I
say that, like even before when I was saying that,
it's tongue firmly planted in cheek. I can appreciate all
the different nuances between the different eras, but.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
It's fun too.
Speaker 5 (10:32):
For example, it's fun for me to argue on the
side of Michael Jordan and using that particular record to
argue it because Lebron James fans like don't have anything
like that's like if you just want to stop the argument.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
But Michael Jordan's still in the middle of the with
the NASCAR lawsuit, So it's okay.
Speaker 5 (10:51):
So this is a really really interesting lawsuit and it's
and it looks like it's man, it's it's gonna be
NASCAR could potentially change forever if they've come out victorious
and so far and don't and understands, yes, it's Michael
Jordan's he's the bigger name in there, but Denny Hamlin's
in there, there's a couple other nascars and it's an
(11:12):
anti trust lawsuit that they've brought against NASCAR. And the fact,
like a lot of people didn't think it would actually
get into court. Russ they tried to do a bunch
of different settlements or tried to come to terms before
getting to court because one of the things that people
were accusing NASCAR of is that they didn't want NASCAR
did not want to open the books and kind of
have to show their business practices.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
And so.
Speaker 5 (11:38):
What it comes down to is this is that NASCAR
has a monopoly on the teams and the way that
teams get into NASCAR and kind of structures it so
that these teams and other race leagues can exist that
some of the same racetracks that NASCAR exists.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
Here's my question. Is Michael Jordan involved with NASCAR now
because he's always been a NASCAR fan or did he
just kind of just recently get into it. He's got
the money, so he figured in what the hell this
looks like?
Speaker 5 (12:03):
Something like, he's a North Carolina kid, He's, uh, he's
always been so he's kind of he's kind of been
always familiar and aware with it. And then he will
admit though he jumped in with both feet and got
into it, and this is what drives him now, this
is what really kind of he's got the bug. And
then obviously the the court side of it and all
that and going to court of it is I.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
Think he's got the name to actually he's got the
money to go up against that. Not everybody could do, not.
Speaker 5 (12:30):
All the not all the different owners in NASCAR have
the kind of financial resources that he.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
Has or clout really yeah, you know, all right, we
got to take a break. When we come back, we'll
catch up with bb Caliber, who tonight will be per
forming her her last time as Miss Monster or less.
But uh, you know, she does her own shows. She
does all kinds of stuff all the time. I mean,
she will always be our our Miss Monster. She's our
first one. Everybody else they don't count.
Speaker 6 (12:54):
She's our j Yeah, she's the first.
Speaker 3 (12:59):
And tonight you can see her at the Abbey. It's
going to be a great time. You can get your
tickets by going to Real Radio. It's a Real Radio
dot dot at them slash Dance or Real Radio Monsters
dot com, wherever you want to go to get those
last remaining tickets for tonight's big show. Don't go anywhere.
You're listening to the Monsters in the Morning. Welcome back
(13:28):
to the Monsters in the Morning. Real Radio one oh
four point one broadcasting live on iHeartRadio. Angel. Please tell
me that Detective Barber I sold all those Christmas trees.
Speaker 4 (13:37):
You know, it's funny to you should say that. I
think Barb wants how aren't.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
You, oh Barb? Detective Barb from Crimeline on with us
right now, Detective Barb, are you calling to tell us
you have sold all your Christmas trees?
Speaker 10 (13:49):
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 4 (13:50):
No?
Speaker 3 (13:52):
What happened?
Speaker 10 (13:54):
Well, listen, it's not that bad. So I had to
go to DC for a few days. They did sell
some trees. Here's the deal. I have ten pretty good
sized trees. I have one seven footer. I have you know,
fifteen small trees. We're going to open the day at
three o'clock. We're going to stay open until probably seven
or eight, and then tomorrow after the Winter Park parade,
(14:14):
will be open until those you know what trees are going.
Speaker 5 (14:17):
Okay, all right, so that those happy, lovely Christmas trees.
That's what you meant to say, Yes, Barb, come on,
I think you need dressed like missus Claws right, and
you really you really go all out, you.
Speaker 3 (14:30):
Know, with a with a costume and everything that would
sell those last ten trees.
Speaker 10 (14:35):
I'm thinking about standing in that intersection and when a
pickup truck drives by, just tossing a tree in the back.
Speaker 4 (14:41):
The free trees.
Speaker 2 (14:43):
I heard. If you show a little leg on obt,
it gets attention.
Speaker 10 (14:47):
And you tried to see me stop it.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
Everybody's got a fetish, Barb.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
That's the corner of four point forty one in Princeton.
Ten trees left for crimelining. It goes to a great clause,
all the minist rated fees and stuff for our crimeline
that in order to get the bad guys off the street,
and it would make make Detective Barb happy. I get
out of there, Get her out of there. She wants
to go home. I have a whiskey.
Speaker 10 (15:11):
Yeah, get me off the trail. Listen, ten big trees,
but I've got quite a few of those smaller ones,
those four footers. Okay, so we're making deals today today
and tomorrow. We're making deals. Trees got to go.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
Please come help us sell them all today so she
didn't have to go out there tomorrow. That would be great, That.
Speaker 10 (15:28):
Would be fantastic.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
I like that, Go get your tree. Yes, Amber, We
got a question for Detective.
Speaker 8 (15:31):
Barb, well more of a statement.
Speaker 11 (15:33):
I'm just happy to hear you have trees, because when
Detective Barb Gune, I thought she was about to say
that people stole her trees, and I was like, oh, no,
we were after people. Usually she's hunting down the criminals.
Speaker 3 (15:44):
Yeah, no, no, she's selling trees and raise money for
crime lights. Not the good corner of you should sell
that barb corner of princeon and four forty one those barb.
Good luck today.
Speaker 10 (15:56):
Thank you guys. Have a great weekend.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
I might take care. Okay. So tonight is Miss Monster
Burless twenty twenty five. BB Caliber won it last year?
What month was it last year?
Speaker 7 (16:07):
It was it was in the summer.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
This summer. Yeah, so you've been Miss Monster Burless for
over a year now.
Speaker 7 (16:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
Part of the prizes, you were able to come in
and promote whatever you want. You know, you didn't know
much about the show. I think when you when you
entered the contest. So tell me about the past year.
What have you learned or what have you I think
you seem a little more comfortable now than you were
the first several months.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
For sure, there was definitely a learning curve being on
the radio. I remember coming home and my boyfriend I
just did it there.
Speaker 7 (16:39):
He was like, work on your ums?
Speaker 2 (16:42):
Oh yeah, but you know.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
But yeah, it's been really great. Everyone's been so kind,
so welcoming. It's really fun.
Speaker 7 (16:48):
Sometimes I'll be out and I'll have someone go are
you are you bebe Miss Monster burlets.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
So that's cool.
Speaker 7 (16:54):
It's really neat to get noticed.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
You mentioned your boyfriend, you know, and Angelique and Am
and Daisy will be you know, dancing tonight and so so,
did your boyfriend ever get like jealous, you know about
when you where you were doing burless does that he
ever get upset?
Speaker 7 (17:11):
No, he doesn't get upset.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
He's been very like, you know, understanding of everything. We
were just you know, talking about how when it comes
to doing burlesque, people always ask like, have you ever
had partners jealous or anything? And my answer to that
is what do they have to be jealous of? I'm
going home with them every night.
Speaker 3 (17:28):
Right, yeah, they should be happy.
Speaker 7 (17:29):
Yeah, yeah, he's very supportive.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
Some men are like that. Some men are very you know,
protective or or anybody's.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
Cup of tea and that's okay, Just don't go after
a woman who's making it their career, right exactly.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
Yeah. I don't think protective was the word of what
would be a better word to Some men are not protective,
but because that's the one I'm looking for, because that's
of been jealous. Yeah yeah, yeah but anyway, so, uh
so tonight we've got five new ladies. That want to
be miss Moster Burlesque? Do you know them all?
Speaker 7 (18:00):
I do?
Speaker 1 (18:01):
I do. I've performed with almost every single one of them. Actually,
they're all very talented performers.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
No, I have none of them are as going to
do right?
Speaker 7 (18:08):
No, we're all on the same level.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
You could tell us friends.
Speaker 8 (18:13):
You can tell they like to stir the pot.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
R know they do.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
Who's your favorite? If you had to?
Speaker 3 (18:18):
You know, I trying to ask who do you think
is gonna win tonight? Because I have a couple that
came in here and we're really good on the microphone,
and a couple were going on the microphone, so I
ain't doing the name. I'm not gonna say, but but
you know, a couple were like, okay, I could see
you know, if they if they're able to come in,
you know, whenever they want. It'd be fun to have
them come in. And a couple others like, oh, that's
(18:40):
gonna be difficult. So do you have a favorite of
who you think should win tonight? BB Caliber ahead, you
can't ask.
Speaker 7 (18:48):
Me if I have a favorite.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
I think that they're all going to do fabulously. They're
all so talented. Each performer has a different niche, you know,
kind of what we were talking about last time I
was here. Some are more classics, some are more sexy,
some are more theatrical.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
Yeah, yeah, now I know who your favorite is. You
just gave it away.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
Which one she didn't? One of them is your close friend? Right?
Speaker 7 (19:12):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (19:13):
And what was her name?
Speaker 7 (19:14):
Her name is Melody Martini?
Speaker 3 (19:16):
That's right, okay, Now she was good on the microphone. Yes,
and then I remember there's one name Foxy, right, yes.
Speaker 7 (19:22):
Miss Foxy. I love Miss Fosh.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
She usually good on the microphone as well.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
Yes, well, we have the same rising sun and moon signs,
so I guess you could say we're a little similar,
if you believe in that stuff.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
Yeah, and so are burlesqued dancers competitive, like when it
comes to you know, who's making the most money that night,
because people are asking also about how we're going to
decide the winner. The winner will be decided tonight. When
you go and you watch them perform, you'll be with
your cell phone. You'll be able to vote on who wins.
So it's not you know, Angel's not picking, I'm not
(19:55):
not Ryan's none of us are picking. So I know,
even though I might be rooting for someone I don't
have a say, so I'm just hoping it's someone that's
good on the microphone, because you know, if they might
have come in for a year, you know, I want
to you know, so, did I have a question? Oh yeah,
oh no, no, no, it was that's how you vote, right, So, so, you.
Speaker 5 (20:15):
Know, you were talking about their competitiveness, like do they
compare who makes the most money at the end of
the night that kind of stuff.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
Yes, I've never had performers compare how much money they
make at the end of the night. It's kind of
just like, you know, a tactful like you keep that
to yourself.
Speaker 7 (20:30):
Occasionally you may have like someone say like, oh my.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
Gosh, I got like a fifty dollars bill, but usually
in that case, every single person in the show has
gotten a fifty dollars fifties they're tipping everybody.
Speaker 4 (20:41):
You weren't in the room when after last year.
Speaker 5 (20:45):
In there the money, yeah, biking a football, talking all.
Speaker 4 (20:50):
The trash fights.
Speaker 8 (20:53):
I was your first time.
Speaker 7 (20:55):
Yeah, you're excited.
Speaker 3 (20:57):
And as far as the money part of it, for
people that are going tonight for the first time to burlesque,
you know, I said, get a bunch of ones. I
think that's more fun. Yeah, but is that I mean,
are you going.
Speaker 7 (21:07):
For the ones? Twenties will take them all.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
Just make sure you're holding up in the air for us,
you know, and make sure that you hoot and holler.
Speaker 7 (21:17):
Not that I think that's going to be a problem
with this crowd.
Speaker 1 (21:19):
They're always fantastic. And if you see something that you like,
throw a dollar out or miyant.
Speaker 3 (21:24):
No, they're not quiet that they were.
Speaker 11 (21:26):
Just quiet when the music is playing.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
No hollering, auter.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
No, it's hooting and hollering, clapping and you know, whistling.
Speaker 1 (21:35):
I could tell you from personal experience, it's very awkward
performing to a crowd of people, like burlesque, taking your
clothes off when they're not hooting and hollering at you.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
Yeah you want them to yeah get amber is very
nervous about tonight, but she's excited. I can tell she's excited.
Any advice you have for Amber Nova, who will be
dancing burless for the first time in doing like a
strip teeth.
Speaker 11 (21:58):
I actually con down with the strip tease, all right,
it's gonna be Ambernova burlesque style.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
So I would just say, I mean, personally, I do
a little mantra before I get out on stage, because
I still get stage fright, believe it or not. So
before I go out on stage, I just kind of
do these little manifestations talking myself up. You know, they're
gonna love me. Doesn't matter what I do. If I
mess up, they're gonna love it.
Speaker 3 (22:22):
So yeah, do that.
Speaker 8 (22:23):
If I step up.
Speaker 11 (22:24):
Nervous before wrestling match and I need to like chill
or calm me down, I'll usually like sometimes call my dad.
I'll pray with the other girl because they're about to
get into some physical action.
Speaker 8 (22:34):
This not really that cood of situation.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
She needs someone.
Speaker 7 (22:38):
If you need someone to pray with, I'll be with you.
Speaker 3 (22:41):
Yeah, she'll She'll get you in the in the right space.
Speaker 11 (22:44):
Dear God, I hope it's okay. I'm taking my clothes
off in front of strangers.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
SOB, here's what ither think like. She she likes a
nice a nice smoky whiskey. Right. Would you would you
suggest her to have one little drink before she goes
out on stage.
Speaker 7 (23:00):
I mean, if you can handle your liquor, sure.
Speaker 1 (23:02):
I try not to drink too much before a show.
I usually indulged afterwards.
Speaker 11 (23:08):
I am a professional I'm treating this just like a
wrestling match.
Speaker 8 (23:11):
I do not drink job. This is done.
Speaker 11 (23:14):
When the job is done, then I can have a drink.
Speaker 3 (23:17):
Right. Would you tell her this is not a wrestling match.
Speaker 11 (23:20):
Lord knows I can handle one whiskey, But that's not
the point.
Speaker 6 (23:23):
I don't think she knows that, right, And I don't
think we can tell her any number of times that
this is not a wrestling It's the same thing.
Speaker 11 (23:30):
It's the same type of entertainment rules, go for the
same type of entertainment rules.
Speaker 8 (23:34):
The crowd doesn't know what's about to happen.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Yes they do. They bought tickets for a very specific kind.
Speaker 6 (23:39):
Of shop, right, I don't know she first go and
then it's just hardcore pornography.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
I would be very confused by that.
Speaker 8 (23:48):
And not what I meant. What I meant is in
then wrestling match.
Speaker 11 (23:53):
You know, say something gets messed up, and you know
this this is not an action movie, like we're a
professional stunt woman. If something gets messed up, we can't
said cut, let's refilm that take.
Speaker 8 (24:01):
You got to keep going.
Speaker 11 (24:03):
Through your match and figure out your next move.
Speaker 8 (24:05):
And what what the hell else? Shows?
Speaker 2 (24:07):
That's all of show business like comedy, I can't do.
Speaker 11 (24:10):
That's exactly what I mean. It's just the entertainment world.
So people in the crowd, you know, it's the same
kind of thing.
Speaker 3 (24:15):
But but but you're trying to seduce the crowd. Am
I not right?
Speaker 2 (24:21):
If I'm doing stam up comedy, then they're like, right,
do burlesque.
Speaker 6 (24:23):
I'm not going out there and doing not knock jokes
with my dweener, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
Like I'm dumping you. You could probably could.
Speaker 6 (24:29):
You could know what knocking next year?
Speaker 3 (24:34):
It's right, hold little.
Speaker 11 (24:37):
Baby knocking anymore advice, You're gonna do a grey.
Speaker 7 (24:42):
I have no doubt.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
And as you were saying, you know, if something messes up,
you just keep going.
Speaker 7 (24:47):
One time I kicked my shoe off into the audience.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
No way, yeah somebody, no, but I saw the entire
crowd hit the deck.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
So I just kicked the other shoe off to the
side and kept going, And you made part of it.
Speaker 7 (25:00):
You just kicked Yeah, yeah, exactly.
Speaker 3 (25:02):
Here's something you know. Getting a no BB caliber this
year once again, she's miss monster Burless two thousand. Okay,
you're Miss Monster Burless twenty twenty four to twenty five.
Is that how we're doing it?
Speaker 7 (25:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (25:12):
And then next year it's twenty five, twenty six. Is
is that I've heard this term my entire life that
someone's got an old soul. And I think Amber does.
She has an old soul because everything's stuff. She loves
it all from the seventies. But you, you have, you
have made references and you kind of even look like
a nineteen fifties spin up girl. And then I'm looking
(25:35):
on on social media and you're excited because you got
a gift from somebody and it's a it's a sewing machine,
and I was.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
From my boyfriend for to year anniversary.
Speaker 3 (25:47):
So for your for your anniversary, your boyfriend got you
a sewing machine.
Speaker 7 (25:51):
Yeah, right, wanting the sewing machine for years.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
It's a heavy duty one because I sew with a
lot of thick fabrics that are like sequined, and every
time I'm sewing it always bring makes my machine.
Speaker 5 (26:01):
Now because she makes her own costumes and makes AT's awesome.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
That's his favorite brand of clothing is thick fabric.
Speaker 3 (26:06):
That just sounds like, if can you imagine getting your
girl a sewing machine in twenty twenty five, It sounds
like something then like an older person. Here's a vacuum
like again.
Speaker 8 (26:18):
Card he got me hat.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
It had the bride of Frankenstein and Frankenstein on it
and said we were made for each other.
Speaker 7 (26:25):
Oh, that's see nice, that's nice. And he had a
little poem in it and everything.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
How long have you been sewing? Ooh?
Speaker 7 (26:33):
Probably since I was about fourteen?
Speaker 3 (26:35):
Huh do you make your own clothes?
Speaker 7 (26:37):
Sometimes? Not all the time, but sometimes.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
Yeah. I've made clothes for other people before too. My
dad was actually one of the people to teach me
how to sew.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
Gotcha. So I'm not saying it's bad. I'm just saying
but it is an old soul thing. Like a lot
of girls who you know in twenty twenty five don't
get sewing machines and don't make their own stuff.
Speaker 11 (26:54):
I mean, I can hand sew and I rhinestone all
my own outfits, but yeah, I don't actually know how
to use us sewing machine.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
Well there's something that you can look forward to that that's.
Speaker 5 (27:03):
A good There's probably more people than you realize that
are doing it. If they're still making them and selling
them rus.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
Oh yeah, yeah, I would just think it'd be more
older people. You've got that old soul thing about you
because you know, you know, so many references to the
older stars and stuff like that, which thank you. Yeah,
which is great. It is good. Hey do you have
one of your own shows coming up anytime soon?
Speaker 8 (27:23):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (27:24):
I do on December nineteenth at the Capitol Room. It's
going to be my production pin up a Gogo's two
year anniversary show and.
Speaker 7 (27:31):
It's all Christmas themes.
Speaker 3 (27:33):
Oh nice.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
And then in January we're back at the Ritz Theater
in winter Haven on the twenty eighth.
Speaker 3 (27:38):
Oh wow, okay, very much good? All right, Well we'll
see you tonight. Do you have that you have something
special tonight for the final Miss Monster Bless show.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
Yeah, I'm bringing out one of my biggest, sparkliest costumes.
Speaker 7 (27:52):
I think you're all going to really love it.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
It's going to be a good time. It's a funny
theatrical number. I think it's a good farewell if you
very good?
Speaker 3 (28:00):

Speaker 3 (29:01):
What happened?
Speaker 5 (29:02):
This is not a YouTube friendly shirt, Russ And Uh
it makes their eyes go crazy, is.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
That what they're saying?
Speaker 5 (29:08):
Yeah, and I and I've known that, and I typically
have I haven't won the shirt on camera and quite
some time.
Speaker 2 (29:14):
Yeah, it does like an optical illusion.
Speaker 5 (29:15):
Yeah, and gives some people headaches and they've been passing
out and uh.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
I hate it when they happen. Yeah, hey, Ryan, you
told me something about the YouTube. You told me something. Oh,
you gotta come out.
Speaker 9 (29:28):
Okay, last time and you know he blew his sting
and then he got a wha oh god his YouTube
stick around for the next segment.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
Okay, you're using it for that. Okay, I didn't know.
I thought we were just chatting. Okay, no problem. Hey,
welcome back. I'm Ross with Angel and Ryan and uh
Ambernova all here today. News from the Headlines brought to
you by who Ryan.
Speaker 6 (29:50):

Best ten year, one hundred thousand mile warranty.
Speaker 6 (30:03):
Head on over to Headquarter Hundai dot Com to check
out all their inventory.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
News from the Headlines. This affects us all least it
affects me. I think it affects all of us in
this room. Netflix wins the bidding war for Warner Brothers.
It's official. Netflix won the bidding war to buy Warner Brothers,
and they're saying now that your prices are gonna go
down and reduce your streaming costs because they're gonna bundle
Netflix with HBO Max.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
It ain't going down.
Speaker 3 (30:30):
What's what it says here? I mean, I didn't make
it up.
Speaker 6 (30:33):
It didn't just buy something for eight point six billion
dollars and your price is gonna go down.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
Both both companies confirmed that the deal this morning is done. Deal.
Netflix will maintain Warner Brothers all the like Warner Brothers
movie so like, and that's like all the Warner Brothers
stuff is all my Batman stuff, all the DC stuff,
all the stuff that I like. All that now is
gonna be available on Netflix and they're gonna be They're
gonna be combined and there's a lot of real cool
(31:00):
HBO thing like I really like. At first I didn't
like it as much, but now I do. Like a
welcome to Dairy, I think that's really good. Uh, you've
got the Game of the new Game of Thrones thing
is coming out, which I know you're not as excited about,
but I think it looks really good.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
Said it in a way of like I'll watch it.
Speaker 4 (31:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (31:19):
I like the h HBO Max stuff and Netflix always
has good stuff you know here and there. So now
those two are combined. How do you think that's going
to change the landscape.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
I think I think, Uh, it's it's bad. We're getting
into Mondon.
Speaker 3 (31:33):
Is it bad? Everything's bad.
Speaker 4 (31:34):
It's a monopoly.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
I can explain it to you. It's getting to be monopolies.
Speaker 6 (31:38):
All these companies are consolidating and they're joining up with
each other, and soon it's there's only gonna be.
Speaker 10 (31:43):
Three of them.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
We're back to cable, and uh, it's bad for the consumer.
Speaker 6 (31:47):
Like right now, sure they're gonna they're gonna do introductory offers,
but it's good.
Speaker 2 (31:50):
It's Uh, there's a thing called n I don't know
how to say.
Speaker 6 (31:54):
It's on the radio, but it's n assification of things,
right like, and like everything seems to go through this
process where like Netflix was great when it first started,
but they weren't making money, right so, and they know that,
they know that they have to go through a long
period of time and not making money to get everybody hooked.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
And then you're in Netflix used to be six ninety nine.
It wasn't a bad deal. And now also they've committed
to releasing movies at the same time. So that was
part of this Warner brother deal.
Speaker 6 (32:20):
They said, like, we're still gonna do a theatrical releases
with the Wanner Brothers properties. This stuff is expensive and
there's no way they can keep this going at the
price they have it at a long.
Speaker 5 (32:31):
Term parallel or see if this do you think it's
it's been better for music on the as a consumer
that music globally is only controlled by four companies?
Speaker 4 (32:45):
Do you feel that's better for music?
Speaker 3 (32:48):
For music? I mean with the whole way music is
sold is totally different.
Speaker 5 (32:54):
Now again this website, it's super easy. Like, do you
think music from the consumer person perspective is better that
it's controlled by four companies?
Speaker 3 (33:04):
I don't see a problem with it.
Speaker 11 (33:06):
What four companies? We're talking like iTunes, Spotify, that type
of stuff.
Speaker 5 (33:10):
Yeah, I picked my favorite. Yes, if you so as
you as a consumer, if that doesn't bother you, does
not This is not going to bother you either, gotcha? Yeah,
you're not, and you're going to look at us like
we're crazy.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
Now.
Speaker 5 (33:25):
The flip side of that is that when you've got
media being controlled by less companies, right, a handful of
companies then you know, you're going to have networks that
are still leaning one particular way. You're not going to
have the urge for their journalistic arms of these organizations
are no longer in the pursuit of the truth. They're
(33:47):
in pursuit of the profit right, so and making money.
If none of that bothers you, this ain't going to
bother you.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
Okay. Well, going back to what you said about music,
and so I'm thinking about what you just said. It
used to be there was only like your NBC, ABC,
CB three three, you know, three places, and you could see,
you know, there was only a limited amount of stuff
you could see. Right. When it comes to television shows
and stuff like that, then it open it up to thousands.
There's thousands of you know ways you can watch television,
(34:15):
thousands of shows you can watch, and it's almost overwhelming,
almost almost too much. Same thing with music, right with music,
I mean I'm not talking.
Speaker 5 (34:23):
Okay, but see this is where we're getting where it
gets kind of cluttered.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
Right.
Speaker 5 (34:27):
There's yeah, there's millions, millions, there's a handful of different platforms.
I'm talking at the hardcore business root level, right, not
talking different streamers, talking actual record labels, record labels and
record music is controlled by four specific companies. There are
four companies that are signing and the releasing artists. There
are four companies that are are looking to develop talent.
(34:50):
There's not there aren't it used to be, you know,
at least ten or twelve, we were.
Speaker 4 (34:55):
Down to four.
Speaker 5 (34:56):
So when it comes to content, content, create, creation, and
the control of content, this is a consolidation of of that,
like Ryan's saying, and so options become less.
Speaker 3 (35:07):
So right now you've got Netflix owns Warner Brothers, and
then you've got Disney has, Hulu has like Disney has
several things they are so we're down to like just
three different or four different companies that own may think
several different platforms.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
Major your major streamers.
Speaker 6 (35:25):
At this point, now only Apple, TV, Netflix, and Disney
plus Paramo.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
Win the bid on this one.
Speaker 6 (35:36):
Were they were the main one going for it, and
it's it's actually very much a surprise that Netflix is
able to pull this one out.
Speaker 4 (35:43):
You're down to You're.
Speaker 5 (35:44):
Down to Paramount, Netflix, Sony Walt, Disney.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
Comcast about peacat Peacock.
Speaker 5 (35:49):
Peacock falls under Comcast on So you don't get caught
up like that's what I'm saying. We're talking the business
the companies at the very bottom of this. You can
have a bunch of different you know, like, for example,
HBO is no longer on an island by itself. HBO
now is just a brand that belongs to another company.
Speaker 3 (36:06):
To Netflix.
Speaker 9 (36:07):
What about YouTube TV, Yeah, that's that is that's essentially
a cable service, it's its own entity.
Speaker 6 (36:15):
I tell you, Angel is great with the streaming analogy
because what has happened with the way those companies took
over it actually screwed the artists hard. They make no
money from streaming, and Netflix is the same way where
we've had actors in here that have talked about this,
where they if they did a network TV show, you
get residuals from that, you get you get money. Netflix
(36:35):
gives you residuals, but it's at as crazy lower rate.
So it's they're kind of doing to actors what the
music industry did to artists, which is is just you consolidate.
Speaker 3 (36:45):
So in this article where it says, I mean, it
does say it here that the streaming it will reduce
they expect to reduce streaming cost by bundling Netflix with HBO.
Max you don't think that's gonna happen.
Speaker 6 (36:57):
It'll happen in the short term. It will happen in
the short term to get people on board. But overall
they have to they have to recoup almost nine all.
Speaker 5 (37:05):
These companies are answering to shareholders. They're not answering to
us as consumers. They're not answering to us to try
to give us the best option the product.
Speaker 3 (37:13):
It's it's now valued at twenty eight dollars per share.
Speaker 8 (37:16):
Question. Yeah, like Amazon Prime.
Speaker 11 (37:20):
You you you already have to pay for the subscription,
and then when you go to Amazon Prime sometimes you
get free movies, or you can rent, or you can buy.
If Netflix goes to like an Amazon Prime where you
can rent and buy movies now that they are partnering
with Warner Brothers and HBO Max, that's going to suck.
Speaker 8 (37:36):
That's all I have to say.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
Okay, well Netflix is right now?
Speaker 11 (37:41):
Is Netflix you just you pay for the subscription, you
get everything free. Amazon Prime you have to still rent
and buy movies even after you've paid for the subscription.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
I wonder what Amazon Prime because Amazon obviously has all
the money. I mean, that's Amazon, they got all the money.
I wonder why they didn't try to buy a Warner
Brothers or even buy Netflix.
Speaker 4 (37:58):
They were, I'm sure they were, they Toronta, but I
think they there.
Speaker 2 (38:02):
Prime is Prime Video is such a secondary market for them, But.
Speaker 3 (38:06):
It's owned by Amazon, who which we we know, I mean.
Speaker 4 (38:09):
That's the I know.
Speaker 2 (38:10):
But like like Netflix only netflixes you know what I
mean on delivery.
Speaker 4 (38:15):
No, no, I'll tell you why.
Speaker 5 (38:15):
Because now if you go to Amazon and it's it's
always on that front that front screen. They they've partnered,
They've they partnered with all these all these streaming services
so that hey listen, if you if you use us,
you could still get two stars.
Speaker 4 (38:29):
If you use us, you can still get to this HBO.
Speaker 5 (38:32):
Then they'll lower the price just a couple of bucks
for you know, they'll give you that introductory rate for
just a few months, hoping that you forget, and then
they bounce it back.
Speaker 4 (38:40):
To the higher rates.
Speaker 3 (38:41):
So now you think you'll be able to go to
Netflix through Amazon Prime that the partnered No, no, no, no,
because you can go to HBO through Amazon Prime. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
But Netflix is I mean like such the big dog dog.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
Yeah, the bigger, the bigger, the biggest dog.
Speaker 6 (38:58):
Netflix is one of Yeah, is the biggest dog in
the in the game, like a big chunk of our
economy is held up by fang stocks, and fang is Facebook, Apple, Netflix, Google.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
So I didn't realize that. I didn't realize that. I
thought I thought the biggest dog in the game was
Amazon Prime.
Speaker 6 (39:15):
No, I mean, they're they're faking Amazon like, but Prime
Video again, is not their main focus of what they're doing.
It's it's it's something to keep you on board as
a as a Prime customer. But even that's gotten out
of hand.
Speaker 2 (39:27):
I had to literally buy a little Raspberry pie.
Speaker 6 (39:31):
Tiny computer yeah to block ads from Amazon because it
became unwatchable.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
I tried to sit through The Boys.
Speaker 6 (39:36):
And there's three commercial breaks that were uninterruptible, and it
was like that the whole time, and I'm like, I
hate this. So I've paid sixteen dollars for an AD
blocker for my house.
Speaker 5 (39:44):
Hey have you guys done this recently? I found my
watching experience remarkably different. I hadn't done this in a while.
But I got these shelves up and everything and got
my DVDs in order, and so I grabbed a couple
of movies that I wanted to watch. Yes, these movies
are offered on different streaming platforms, but like you just mentioned,
(40:04):
I didn't want the commercials, didn't want any of the disruption, right,
And I found myself more engaged watching the DVD of
these movies. I wasn't I didn't get distracted or I
wasn't into my phone. Like I caught myself and I
was like, oh wow, this is because like when I'm
watching anything on streaming, right, as soon as like Ryan said,
(40:26):
as soon as it cuts to a commercial that you
have to sit through because I'm not going to kick
down for the commercial free stuff, I'll grab my phone
and just kind of wait it out, and then I'm
not really paying attention to whatever the content is.
Speaker 3 (40:38):
So I think that is when you kick down for
the commercial free stuff. This is what I normally do.
But like Disney, they still even though you you pay
whatever the maximum, they still make you watch a commercial
that piss me off.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
That's annoying.
Speaker 6 (40:50):
But Angel, that's my dream right now. So like I'm
learning how to do like a home lab like and
that's where I like take rip all my DVDs. I gotta,
I gotta, I got a big hard drive like a setup,
and it's all just so I can, like from my TV,
just watch the DVDs and nonsense that I have. I
you can get a so cheap a pawnshot.
Speaker 5 (41:07):
Yeah well well even through Amazon Prime, like I got
Sinners for ten bucks.
Speaker 3 (41:11):
Yeah all right, well anyway, so well Netflix and HBO
are now married. Just so you know, all right, we'll
take a little break when we come back.
Speaker 2 (41:17):
And sign for the congratulations.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
Congratulations, the King of Dear Ryan Holmes make his daily proclamation.
When we come back. You're listening to the match of
the morning.
