I don't know if you can do that over there?
Can you? Can you do it over there?
Speaker 1 (01:38):
I do everything, buddy, you can do it over there?
Speaker 5 (01:40):
Okay, all right, I don't know if you could do
it or you're in a different spot today, but we'll
be doing this just I think it's just me and
Ryan until eleven o'clock. Our producer is ill today. He
is not feeling well, so he's gonna be out. So
it's the King of Them right Ryan home.
Speaker 4 (01:55):
Yes, Yes, I.
Speaker 5 (01:56):
Think our brand new Monster Burlesque is gonna come in today.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
We're gonna get to see her for a little bit.
Uh do you know? Do you know? Do you know
her name? I didn't. I had to.
Speaker 5 (02:07):
I had to go look it up and make sure
because I thought she had a real name, but they didn't.
You know like, uh, the uh burlesque girls, they don't
like to give out their their real names. They only
give out their right their stage names right.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
And and like like like if you know the real name,
that means you're a real friends with them.
Speaker 5 (02:21):
Well yeah, I think if you know their real name,
you can look them up and really bother them in
real life. And they just want to have like a
stage name, which is fine, that's their business. You know,
dream a little is their name Dreamer. So we got
so I guess we call her. Do we call her
dreamer or a little.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Dreamer or just it's dreamer, dream a little, dream.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
A little, So I just call her Dreamer anyway. She'll
be in today. Uh man, what a great time. On
Friday night, we're gonna go over all of that. Uh
miss monster Burlesque was.
Speaker 4 (02:48):
A huge hit.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
It was really really a lot of fun. And we'll
talk about that.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (02:52):
You can text us right now at seven seven zero
three one if you want to, Oh the first text John,
I see what you're saying. I fight with it too, buddy.
We'll talk about that. He's like, kiss sucks. I got
to burn all the albums now, Okay, whatever, we'll talk
about that yeah. They well, no, this weekend was the
Kennedy Center Honors. Right, So if you are say less
(03:15):
than a fan of the President of the United States,
but you're a huge fan of kiss, it does. Uh.
Speaker 4 (03:20):
I had a little internal battle. I'll be honest with you.
Speaker 5 (03:22):
I'd like I'd like to see and them be honored,
but you know, these are obviously not my favorite president ever.
So it's it's one of those things where you're going
to kind of go back and forth. And then Jean
said something that's controversial. We'll talk about that a little
bit later on. I want to go I want to
go through the good stuff. I want to get to
the good things. So you so Ryan, you know me,
I'm I'm I'm a nut. I get here early. I'm
(03:43):
a here hour early to make sure everything's set up
and all good. And I'm sitting here waiting and I
got the text message from Angel at four What time
was it for, fifteen? Exactly four fifteen, and it said,
you know, it says, hey, guys, not going to come
in today. This bug is kicking my butt. I'm like,
(04:03):
no body, no problem. Well, you know, we'll handle it.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (04:06):
And I assume that you got the same.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Text, no trouble, mister bubble.
Speaker 5 (04:09):
Yeah, I said, no trouble, mister bubble, will handle it.
You know, I don't want them to feel bad about
being sick.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (04:14):
So I'm sitting here waiting and then uh, And then
I could tell by the way you opened the door.
You were very like, like, I'm three minutes early?
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Is this is?
Speaker 4 (04:22):
I mean, I'm here on early.
Speaker 5 (04:25):
And I'm like, you didn't get the text, did you?
Speaker 4 (04:28):
Cause you didn't realize you're gonna be doing everything today,
did you?
Speaker 1 (04:30):
I had no idea. I had no idea. So here
we are and ready to go. I was gonna call
in myself today. Did I never do that?
Speaker 4 (04:39):
Like?
Speaker 1 (04:40):
But there's days sometimes I'm like around Saturday, I was like,
I said, take Monday off, right, But I never do that?
And this time I was like, I was real I
was closer than I would usually get.
Speaker 4 (04:50):
Can I tell you the thought has crossed my mind too?
Speaker 5 (04:52):
And I'll tell you why we've got all these days
that we didn't use, like all these sick days, all
these things and and and the ratings were crushing it,
and it's like, yeah, you know, you could, you could
you could take a break a little bit a little
breaking flu Russ, because you know, you maybe spend some
time with your wife and Maker thinks she's more important
and all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
That's exactly my thing is my wife's birthday yesterday, yes sir,
official birthday. So we went out and got dinner and
had some drinks and stuff, and I'm like, I should
have just taken Monday off. So you should have been
home by like seven thirty. You know what I mean, right? You?
Speaker 4 (05:22):
Actually you actually have every reason that.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
You could have and you should have taken it off.
I would have been sitting here by myself, just so
the audience knows. Over thirty three years, I have made
sure that I don't know how to run any of
that stuff.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
I don't want to know.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
I want to concentrate her off to see you try.
Speaker 5 (05:36):
I want to concentrate or running a radio program. I
don't need to learn all that and be bothered with
the commercial spots and all that stuff.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
That's why I've always had a producer. So I would have.
Speaker 5 (05:45):
Been sitting here by myself, going.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
Like we wouldn't. I don't know what would have happened,
Like if.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
Just kick on and start playing that build a Bear
song and then today I think it just goes into
automotive playing music.
Speaker 5 (05:58):
But I mean you would have already okay, yeah, you
already would have told Jack that you were going to
be off on Monday, so then Angel would have not
taken it off.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
Yah.
Speaker 5 (06:04):
But if you would have, if you would have called
in sick, and then Angel would have called in sick.
Where we're just you know, I'm just calling Jack, Hey,
I don't know what to do.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
I like that.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
I guess I'm going home.
Speaker 5 (06:17):
Unless you can run somebody up here for you know,
I guess they could run somebody up here, like Jack
could come up.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
Yeah, let's let's get him up. He's actually probably up
right now. I think he listens at the six o'clock
hour to.
Speaker 5 (06:28):
Say, Like, if that were the case, like if you
had called in sick and you didn't know Angel had
called in sick, uh, and I'm sitting here by myself,
that would have been the That's the only solution, right.
Jack would have to get up uh and come in,
or he'd send somebody else, what other producer.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
If I'm running an emergency scenario in my head, I'm like,
I'm sure the call is going to someone over maybe
like a third hand at one of the other stations. Yeah, like, hey,
probably Alejandro and turn everything on for us and he'll
just talk got to the void. Yeah yeah, I.
Speaker 4 (07:00):
Could do that. I can talk five every boy. I'm
looking at the texting service I had.
Speaker 5 (07:05):
I had debated whether I was even going to talk
about the Kennedy Center honors, like, oh, it's only kiss.
It only applies to me. I'm the only one that cares.
But obviously there's a lot of people that want to
hear about that. So we will talk about that coming
up here in a little bit. We did have an
incredible time at Miss Monster ble Let me speak for myself.
I had an incredible time, Ryan. Did you enjoy your
(07:25):
the Miss Monster Burlesque?
Speaker 1 (07:26):
I did beautiful evening, fun time all around, I think yeah, everybody, everybody,
uh crushed it as far as the burlessed dancers went
and ladies on our staff, so it was it was good.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
You gotta give it. Weal you know, here's what I did.
Speaker 5 (07:38):
We already have to go to break, so I'll we'll
tell you what happened with am Bernova. We'll tell you
what happened with Angelique, with Daisy and UH and we'll
tell you about the winner. We'll tell you about it,
and there is something that I want to change for next.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
Year and we'll talk about that.
Speaker 5 (07:55):
So uh so, photos from Miss Monster Burlesque are all
up on our Instagram. If you go to Real Radio
Instagram or Real Radio Monsters Instagram. I handled the Real
Radio Monsters one, so it's more monster heady, you know.
Speaker 4 (08:10):
If you want to check that out, you can, or
on my Facebook.
Speaker 5 (08:13):
I put stuff on their photos and pictures and stuff
from Miss Monster burlesqu which was downtown Orlando. Man, I
went out and I actually been into you, but I went.
You know, I haven't been at to downtown Orlando in
a long time, and I was really pleasantly surprised at
how many listeners of the show were coming up and
saying hello. Just as I went to that restaurant, the
(08:33):
mule was covered, the Stubborn Mule. A lot of people
coming over say hello, and they had no idea we
were doing the Miss Monster Burlesque.
Speaker 4 (08:41):
I'm like, oh, are you here for the burlest show? No, No,
we're doing the tree lighting.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
I'm like, oh, there's a lot going on downtown.
Speaker 4 (08:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (08:46):
You had a magic game, you had a tree lighting,
and you had Miss Monster Burlesque, And as I walked
around the corner, a line going down the you know,
down the pathway to get into Miss Monster Burless. So
I took a little video of those folks, which was
very nice. I mean, it just all all right way around.
Nice night with a bunch of really cool people that
you know, I have been listening to show forever. The
(09:07):
one of the guys I took a photo with, he
was like a legacy listeners I've been listening.
Speaker 4 (09:10):
I was ten, can't believe.
Speaker 5 (09:12):
I'm running into you, you know, and his wife was
laughing at him for him being so nervous about it.
But nice to meet you, brother, and nice to meet
all the people that came back and said hello. And
we'll also need to talk about my my flame pants.
We'll talk about they were a little on the tight side,
but whatever I said, I was gonna wear them and
I did. So we'll cover everything and we got Monster
(09:34):
Sports coming up later. Hey, do you know how to
find the prizes? Since Angel's not here? Do we have
prizes from the prize Pinada that.
Speaker 4 (09:42):
You know of?
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Oh yeah, yeah, I can do everything all at the
same time, Buddy to worry about.
Speaker 5 (09:47):
It all right, we got everything said, all right, good,
I want to make sure all right, So we got
a bunch of big dumb fun on this Monday.
Speaker 4 (09:52):
Don't go anywhere. You're listening to the monsters in the morning.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
You might not have many friends, but we definitely don't. So, hey, Alexa,
play Real Radio one on four point one on iHeart Radio.
Speaker 4 (10:06):
One vel Time.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Plus station, play music Christmas classics Christmas. That's right. I
don't know why I was doing that. That's weird.
Speaker 5 (10:21):
Okay, Well, just sing a song or something the hey, hey,
well back to the Monster's mornings were Radio one on
four point one. Hey, I digressed for a second ride.
This ever happened to you? Is your wife? Your wife?
Ever have a dream and then she in that dream
you were in trouble and then she wakes up and
she's mad at you?
Speaker 4 (10:40):
You ever have that?
Speaker 1 (10:42):
No?
Speaker 4 (10:42):
No, I did, so Mary my wife, but I've had
it happen. Oh you had that? Okay, okay, okay, mary
Ella wakes up and she's.
Speaker 5 (10:50):
Like, I'm mad at you. I'm like, what are you
mad at me for? She goes all, I just had
this terrible dream.
Speaker 4 (10:54):
What was your dream? She said?
Speaker 5 (10:56):
I dreamed that you brought another ex wife over to
the house, one you had never told anyone about, a
new ex wife, that was a mystery ex.
Speaker 4 (11:02):
Wife, and and.
Speaker 5 (11:04):
And you gave I was gonna have some prime rib
And you gave her my prime rib because you said
she was home a bitch. That's funny, baby, she could know.
I'm mad at you. I'm like, maybe that didn't happen
all day long. She's like, yeah, you give somebody my
prime rib.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
She was.
Speaker 4 (11:20):
She was stewing over that all damn day long. And
I'm like, baby, that did not that, that did not occur.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
This is what you gotta make it up to her
either way.
Speaker 5 (11:28):
You well, I know what she wants. She wants to
go get prime rim on Wednesday.
Speaker 4 (11:31):
I get it. And I'm like, babe, I'll take you.
Speaker 5 (11:33):
But you don't have to make up a story about
an ex wife.
Speaker 4 (11:35):
And I was like, what does the ex wife look like?
Speaker 5 (11:37):
She's like, she she was pretty, and that maybe even
more mad, you know, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
So no, I don't have that. I have this. I
hate my dreams now, like my dreams are much more
intense at this point in my life. I don't like
that really, Yeah, they've gotten worse.
Speaker 5 (11:54):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
And my dreams, I always cheat on my wife. Oh
and then I wake up and then you feel bad, well,
you know, because it's always like I cheated on my
wife and my dreaming and I've ruined my whole life.
And I'm very upset about him, like why would I
have done this? And I have that dream like it's
like a recurring dream. It happens at least twice a month.
Speaker 5 (12:11):
And that doesn't mean you want to cheat on your wife.
It means that she's so important to you that you
know if you make that mistake, you would lose her.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
I think it's just my subconscious knowing that, like I'm
gonna f it up eventually, pos you.
Speaker 5 (12:24):
Know what I'm I have been like this. I think
for most of my life. I get excited to go
to sleep because I'm excited about my dream, like I
don't know I will have a good one, Like like
I love my dreams, Okay, all right, I look forward
to sleeping so I can have some good dreams and
I get to remember the dreams, uh, and I get
some of my best ideas and some of the best
the things that I've come up with are in my
(12:45):
my you know, uh, I think my subconscious brain is
smarter than my other brain.
Speaker 1 (12:50):
That could be very well, and I like it better.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
Subconscious one is my better of the two brains.
Speaker 5 (12:56):
Anyway, you think you could be hypnotized, Yeah, Doc RENI
did it one time before.
Speaker 1 (13:02):
Let's get a hypnotist to come on this show.
Speaker 4 (13:04):
Doctor Reenie's one.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
Okay, let's get old rock and roll Rainie and you
can hypnotize this while we're on the show.
Speaker 5 (13:08):
I'm always curious to keep it. Will work on it.
It takes a long time. You'd have to go into
his office. If you went into his office, I bet
he could do it.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
I don't know. I see these hypnotists guys on TV
all the time, and I'm like, I want to learn
how to do that. Yeah, stage show, it's not.
Speaker 5 (13:22):
Like the ones you see like in a comedy show
or whatever.
Speaker 4 (13:26):
I don't know about that. Like, I think it was
really really quick. I think it takes some.
Speaker 5 (13:29):
Time actually to just kind of relax enough to go
into your subconscious I watched.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
The whole thing on it the other day on like
a YouTube channel. On this like they had like five
people and then like some people were like you know
susceptible to it, and some weren't. And the people that were,
it was almost like they were drunk for a second,
like even their like their face and their eyes would
get kind of glazy. Yeah, and I'm like, oh, that's so,
that's so crazy to me. I don't. I don't think
it would work on me though, because I'm like too
much thinking. Well, I was told that, but I think
(13:56):
you wants to come out. It's we're super smart.
Speaker 4 (13:59):
People's when I was told. Yeah. Anyway, So Friday night, I.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
Talked to subconscious rus That's what I'm saying, Like, I
want to speak to that.
Speaker 4 (14:07):
That's pretty much who you talk to every day.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
No, No, I don't think so.
Speaker 4 (14:10):
No, No, I looked.
Speaker 5 (14:11):
I listened to that brain more than I listened to
like logic, I don't.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
I don't. I hate logic, you know, like I listen.
Speaker 5 (14:18):
I do.
Speaker 4 (14:18):
I listened to my heart and I listened.
Speaker 5 (14:19):
To my subconscious brain because it's more fun and it
makes more fun decisions.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (14:23):
And I've talked to doctoring about this. I do listen
to my subconscious a lot more. Uh. And I'm in
touch with it more than most people, is what he says.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (14:32):
And he's known a lot of folks he's getting I mean,
he's doing.
Speaker 4 (14:34):
This for uh fifty years or forty years or whatever.
Speaker 5 (14:38):
He's like, hey, you you listened to and talk to
your subconscious more than anyone I've ever known. Uh. Anyway, so, uh,
Friday night was Miss Monster Burlesque.
Speaker 4 (14:46):
It was downtown. It was at the Abbey. Uh. Like
I said, with that dinner beforehand, Oh my dinner one
that good though?
Speaker 2 (14:52):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (14:52):
I set at the bar. Uh did you do you
eat at the U?
Speaker 1 (14:58):
I had like an appetizer at the summer me. I
don't like to eat a lot before I'm gonna be
on stage.
Speaker 5 (15:03):
Yeah, I didn't want to eat a lot because I
had all really tight pants, really tight fire pants. And
I'll be honest with you, I'm pretty aware that that
didn't match.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
I know, Okay, can we Yeah, I'm glad you've brought
that up, because.
Speaker 4 (15:15):
You did not match.
Speaker 1 (15:16):
You were you look like you were like partying on
a cruise. You were dressed up like running a show. Generally,
that's one of the things about you. You every time
we do a show, you put on a full suit,
you wear what you're dressed to the nines for the
this This was like, I thought you were an audience member.
Speaker 5 (15:33):
No, I had on fire pants. Audience members doesn't wear
fire pants. And I had that Christmas shirt. My guy,
I might as well wear the Christmas rock and roll shirts.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Un button tank top. Yeah yeah.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
And then it didn't it didn't really match.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
I did know these ladies are up there looking beautiful
and you're you're up there schlub. But I even dressed
up like I was like, okay, well, I know you
look nice. Like I can't not dress up because Russ
obviously is gonna dress up in somewhere another I get
there and I'm like, what are you doing? But as
I look you dinner like that too with people don't
know what you're doing.
Speaker 5 (16:01):
I know, but you know, there's a kind of a
thing where like.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
Man, it'sdressed so crazy that I guess it might be cool.
Speaker 5 (16:08):
And I'm looking at the picture and I'm like, Okay,
I'm glad I wore that because at least it stands
out and I'll remember it and now I can throw
that shirt away. It's the shirt I dislike, not the pants.
I actually kind of like the pants. I should have
just worn a black shirt with the fire pants. The
shirt ruined it.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
I think maybe black shirt even with that red coat
that you got.
Speaker 5 (16:27):
Yeah, I don't know if that red coat fits anymore.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
But anyway, so we get there the nice line.
Speaker 5 (16:35):
I'm there when it opens, you know, at seven, got
to meet and talk to people and everything. Beat Caliber
was there super early. What a sweetheart. You know, she's
miss monster Burless this year and we got to know,
we got to know her a little bit more the
second half of her rain, as what it's called a rain,
she loosened up a little bit and start talking to
us about her counseling and everything. And she was much
(16:58):
better on the air the last part of her her reign.
At first, she was very nervous and she didn't know
what to say, but she got much better and really
a nice person like she really really is. Of course,
she performed and she nailed it. I mean, she showed
why she won last year. I mean, without a doubt.
The lady, the young lady that won, met her husband,
(17:20):
nice guy.
Speaker 4 (17:21):
Her name is dreama little. I don't know her real name.
I don't know any of their.
Speaker 5 (17:24):
Real names, to be honest with you, Miss Foxy, Foxy
Lady or whatever. She was super super sweet and super
nice and all of them performed awesome.
Speaker 4 (17:34):
All of them did a great job. It was close
in the voting.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Yeah, I was very close in the voting, very close
in the voting. I saw the grafts on Jack Bradshaw's PC.
Speaker 4 (17:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (17:43):
Jack Bradshaw was there. He sewed up right after he
did the Jimmy Corbet Show. And who else was Oh, yeah,
Diana was there. Diana used to be the president of
the Monster Militia Fanclub way back like in the nineties.
She showed up with a bunch of ones, like two
hundred dollars were the ones, and she grabbed my wife,
Mary Ellen, and she said, hey, you come sit with
(18:04):
me and we'll we'll give out because mary Ian didn't
bring any cash, and so Mary Ellen got to go
and sit with her and and give the cash out.
And she she had so much fun. Uh So I'm
glad my wife had fun and I could run around
and do what I was doing. I saw your wife,
Christina said Happy Birthday tour several times.
Speaker 4 (18:21):
She is one of the sweetest people.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
Yeah, she was out there throwing money.
Speaker 4 (18:26):
She had fun.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
Yeah, she had a great time. And then Sea Land
was there. As well. We went out with him afterwards
to Aku Waku, a little bar down the road. It's
like a tiki bar. So it's cool to hang out
with him.
Speaker 5 (18:36):
Yes, very nice of him to show up. He's been
he's come to a bunch of our things, and that's
very appreciative. It's nice to see him. My friend Kim
Hooker showed up and hung out with Mary Ellen for
a while. Uh uh, Kylie Blakelee was there with her
new man. Yeah, uh, he's a he's a man's man.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
I believe his name is Derek. Them as a couple together,
they're too they're too beautiful of people, Like, yeah, they're
jarring to look at when they walk down the road.
And I'm like, I'm happy for him, but also like,
uggle yourselves up a little bit.
Speaker 4 (19:06):
I'd love to say something negative about him, but I couldn't.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
It was nicely good looking at goddamn Lumberjack.
Speaker 5 (19:12):
And she's like a supermodel. I mean, just absolutely gorgeous,
very sweet. Nice to see her show up. Who else
do we have, let's see here. I hung out with
Kayla a little bit, Angel's Girl, got to talk to
her for a while. Of course, we got our friends.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
I got to meet a bunch of people from like
the texting service that I that technically I talked to
every day. Like Ken the driver was there. It's cool
to talk to him. Yeah, people that drove from Jacksonville.
I mean, like people came from all over to come
to this thing. So it was it was very fun.
Speaker 5 (19:47):
Daisy shows up and she talks to one of our
good friends, Christa, and asked her to dance with her
on stage.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
Oh, Christy, christ Christy, Christy Christy. Uh that was that
was a surprise.
Speaker 4 (20:05):
That was a surprise.
Speaker 5 (20:06):
Uh Daisy. I thought, here's what I thought Daisy was
gonna do. I thought Daisy was gonna come out on
stage with some tequila, come bottles of tequila, promoter tequila,
and have dancing girls behind her and just say hello
to the crowd and say some funny stuff.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
Get on stage.
Speaker 5 (20:20):
And when Daisy gets there, she goes, I did not
bring the girls. I'm going to do something myself. I'm like, really, okay,
what are you gonna do? I show you when I
go up. I'm like, okay, that's fine. So he gets Chrisy.
She gets Christy to go up on stage with her
and another girl and and then she first off, she
starts humping the head of Jake. She did this, This
(20:42):
is the Jake humping right now, Lady James, I'm backstage.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
I think clean that thing too, do we just got
that thing clean? And Daisy's rubbing all over it.
Speaker 5 (20:51):
I think I'm sitting backstage with either you or Angel.
And and then Lady James is standing there and Daisy
starts doing Daisy this and it gets a little raunchy.
I mean like she puts Christy on it.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
I went from that was not burlesque, that was that
was soft core pornography.
Speaker 5 (21:08):
I don't know that Daisy knows the difference, you know.
Uh So she starts humping on Christy and I think
they started to were they did they kiss?
Speaker 1 (21:18):
I don't know, I don't know.
Speaker 5 (21:19):
And Lady James looks at me mad as hell, and
she's like, this is not pornography. This is burl ask
And I'm like, hey man, I can't control Daisy.
Speaker 4 (21:28):
I don't know what I'll tell you. It's oh yeah,
I was saying with you, because then I look at you.
I said, just.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
Say guise, I said, cut her off. Because people were people,
people were gasping.
Speaker 4 (21:40):
What Daisy was doing.
Speaker 5 (21:41):
And I didn't know if I didn't know what, I
didn't know where Daisy was going. Once she had Christy
on that chair.
Speaker 1 (21:47):
Yeah, that was uh. And then and then her top
got pulled down somehow.
Speaker 5 (21:53):
Well I wonder that's a mystery, right, Yeah, Oh yeah,
I got a picture.
Speaker 4 (21:58):
There's a picture there of Daisy hump in the head.
Speaker 5 (22:01):
I don't even know why she did that.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
Was that was that was a way to start, because
I mean, Burlesking is not that. Burlesking is a little
bit more of like it's all about the tease of it,
all right. There was no teas in that. Yeah, there
were actual teasing that.
Speaker 4 (22:16):
Yeah, she went straight. Daisy has one. She just got one,
speed man, go right to see.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
She's like, I just got off a plane. I'm like
so tired, I'm like, and then she just goes out
there and does that.
Speaker 5 (22:29):
All right, So I'm talking away now, I'm talking to Ambernova,
who's nervous, nervous, nervous as she's nervous as she can be.
Speaker 4 (22:35):
I said, you're gonna be find no worry. You're gonna
be find no worry. Uh.
Speaker 5 (22:38):
So after Daisy does her thing, uh, three of the
professional Burlast dancers.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
They do their performance. Here's what I would change next year.
Speaker 5 (22:46):
And I gotta think a listener that sent this on
my Facebook and say, hey, Russ, here's an idea for
next year. And you're right, and I don't even know
why we didn't do it. We You and I should
interview the dancers beforehand, do like a little you know,
how they do, like in in a contest for you know,
you know, maybe ask a question or something. That way
(23:07):
the audience gets to know their personality a little bit
beyond their dance.
Speaker 4 (23:11):
Does that make sense?
Speaker 5 (23:13):
So?
Speaker 4 (23:13):
Yeah, So I think.
Speaker 5 (23:14):
A little interview that you and I could do beforehand,
and maybe something that we add next year.
Speaker 4 (23:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
I actually didn't see any of the dances, to be
honest with you, other than Amber and Angelique and then
the I think it's mid Daddy who did like a
hot dog routine. That's the only one I really saw.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
I actually thought the hot dog routine should have won.
Speaker 5 (23:31):
She she asked me to come out and do it
with her, which was which was funny.
Speaker 4 (23:34):
But the girls dance and then it's time for Amber Nova.
Speaker 5 (23:37):
Hey listen, she's backstage and she looks exactly like she
looks when she's gonna wrestle. Right, she's back there like
pumping up and and you know, just pumping up, you know,
pumping up, you know, hump it up. No, no, getting all
pumped up and everything. And uh and and like, oh
my god, she's gonna treat this like a wrestling match.
This is gonna be like a wrestling thing. And she
went out and she killed it. Man, I mean, you
(23:58):
got to give it to her. And I know, we
don't look at her as sexy at all because she's
like our little sister.
Speaker 4 (24:03):
That talks too much.
Speaker 5 (24:04):
And it's like someone said the other day, when Ambernova's in,
it's like we got a boys clubhouse and we let
our little sister in.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
It's kind of the way it is with her.
Speaker 5 (24:13):
But uh but but as I'm watching her, and I'm thinking, okay,
pretend that's not your your your little buddy Ambernova, she
looked pretty sexy.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Couldn't watch it.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
You didn't watch it?
Speaker 1 (24:23):
And watch it?
Speaker 4 (24:23):
You didn't just out of respect? You didn't watch it.
How she did? No, it makes you.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Feel weird, makes me cringe. I don't know, I don't.
I don't like it.
Speaker 5 (24:32):
You know, I got I had to turn away for
a second for Angelique because Angelique was getting too sexy.
Speaker 4 (24:40):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (24:40):
I'm like, okay, you know, I'm not forced to enjoy
this like this, you.
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Know, like Angela can watch Angelique. Angeline crushed it. She
easily did the best out of anybody.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
She's a freaking pro, Angelique the dancing queen.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
That's where she took anything off.
Speaker 4 (24:53):
She barely took anything off, but was the I mean,
I don't want to say the sexiest.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
But exactly, I would say, hands down easily she can.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
Yes, And so I started to feel that.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
Wagged away with the most money too, a thing.
Speaker 4 (25:04):
I think she did.
Speaker 5 (25:05):
I had to not watch her for a little bit
because it was getting too sexy.
Speaker 4 (25:08):
I was like, okay, dare watch this?
Speaker 1 (25:09):
Oh no, I see. I love what Angelique does that
she's all that because she'll come in here and she'll like,
no makeup on, she's tired, And then you see her
like out at an event where she actually dresses up
and you're like, oh yeah, you are like a really
beautiful woman.
Speaker 5 (25:23):
Right, I forget, we forget what she's in here talking
too much, you know, and listen that we say that
we love her like I love her to death, and
she and she I mean, she killed it.
Speaker 4 (25:34):
I mean, and so did Ambernova.
Speaker 5 (25:35):
Though Amber I know you didn't watch her, but Amber
did awesome. She did this whole thing with like a belt,
like she was choking herself for something.
Speaker 4 (25:43):
And I'm like, oh my god.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
I look at Ambernova like Xena Warrior Princess. And then
her friend Gabrielle like where Zina. You're like, hell yeah, Zena,
what's up? That's Angelique? And then you got Gabrielle and
it was like she can tell it, like she's like
kind of attractive. I guess, but I don't really want
to see it.
Speaker 4 (26:00):
Gabrielle. Uh but but I'm a weirdo.
Speaker 5 (26:03):
But but anyway, so we did that, uh or what
else happened? And then and then dream a little like
she's the one. She's the one, the one that won.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
I can't I can't tell you guys how nice of
a person she is. She is.
Speaker 5 (26:15):
I mean, I talked to her a lot backstage, talk
to her husband.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
Sweet girl, I'm really nice.
Speaker 5 (26:21):
I'm glad that she won because she'll be great on
the air. Now.
Speaker 4 (26:24):
I'm not saying that the others one of them. Yeah,
I think they.
Speaker 5 (26:28):
All were excited to have a year's worth of because
we didn't give them.
Speaker 4 (26:31):
Any other prize.
Speaker 5 (26:32):
They got they got a crown, they got the sash,
and they're able to come in and promote whatever they
need to promote for a year. And they were like,
you know, they all wanted to win that dream a
little was so excited to win, like she like it
was like she won Miss America, like she super was into.
Speaker 1 (26:50):
It, well as she should be. It's basically the same
thing rush.
Speaker 5 (26:54):
Basically it's the same thing. So we get to catch
up with her a little bit today, Lady James is
gonna come in with her.
Speaker 4 (26:59):
Lady, by the way, did an awesome job. You know.
Here's the thing.
Speaker 5 (27:03):
You and I wanted to do a little certain part,
but all the blocking and tackling, I don't think we
wanted to do. So we let her do the basic
blocking and tackling. She crushed it, and she crushed it
and did what she does and we could just be us.
And I thought that was fun and fine, and uh yeah,
the only thing I would change next year is to
interview the ladies on stage a little bit and get
(27:25):
a little funny you know, get your little fun out
of them for the audience.
Speaker 4 (27:29):
I thought the intermission might have been a bit too long.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
Was too long?
Speaker 4 (27:32):
Okay? Am I right? Okay?
Speaker 1 (27:34):
Why was there an intermission at all?
Speaker 4 (27:36):
I think to let people buy drinks?
Speaker 1 (27:39):
Okay, it's a money making scheme. Yeah, mess up the
vibe and the flow though. They just get waiters out there,
you know what I mean. Like, I didn't like. I
didn't anything that has an intermission. As a performer, I
hate it.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
How long should an intermission be?
Speaker 1 (27:54):
Let's call it ten to fifteen minutes tops?
Speaker 4 (27:57):
I say ten.
Speaker 5 (27:58):
That one went on thirty. We're gonna yeah, I think,
then went for thirty. I thought it was too long. Yea,
we're gonna give you ten minutes to go get a drink.
You know, now, timnists might not be enough to get
a drink if you want.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
To drink this, get get up, don't. I don't know.
I don't know. I think I think it's disruptive for
the entire performance.
Speaker 5 (28:12):
But yeah, I was getting a little antsy during the break.
I'm like, well, this seems long, but I think you know,
that's the way they always do it, and they give
a half hour to get drinks and stuff and whatever.
But you know, these are little criticisms, they're not big ones,
like all the way around. I looked at Jack Bradshaw
at one point when one of the girls were dancing.
Speaker 4 (28:28):
I'm like, this is pretty cool.
Speaker 5 (28:29):
And Jack's like, yeah, this is this is pretty badass.
Like it's a great event. I say, also, next year
we do it. And a lot of people were complaining
to me that they couldn't make it because they had
a Christmas party they had to go to, or they
had they already promised their wife they go to the.
Speaker 4 (28:46):
Tree, tree lighting or whatever.
Speaker 5 (28:48):
So I think doing it during the Christmas season might
be asking a little too much.
Speaker 4 (28:52):
Does that make sense?
Speaker 1 (28:53):
I like, get better in the summer.
Speaker 5 (28:55):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, a couple months ago it might have
been better. You know, so maybe we're planning it better.
But we were planning so much stuff this year in
twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
This week alone, we're busy.
Speaker 5 (29:05):
Well, yeah, give us this Wednesday, we've got the drive
the bike drive, yes we do. And then this Saturday
night it is we are hosting the trans Iberian Orchestra
on Saturday, which is really cool. So yeah, so we
got a lot of stuff going on. But yeah, this
is the only little, you know, little critiques I would say.
(29:26):
But all in all, man, thank you to everybody that
showed up. Nice, a lot of nice folks.
Speaker 1 (29:31):
Real real quick too.
Speaker 4 (29:32):
Though.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
I love the Abbey. I think they did a great job. Yeah,
I feel like we're not an abbey people.
Speaker 4 (29:38):
What do you say? What do you mean?
Speaker 1 (29:39):
I feel like we're a dude in Melbourne people. I
feel like we're do it, you know, Lakeland. I just
think downtown Orlando, Like you said, I haven't been downtown
in a while myself either. Yeah, Like like Reespe took
forty minutes to park.
Speaker 5 (29:54):
Yeah, I had you know, they didn't want to go
because they don't like going to downtown Orlando.
Speaker 4 (29:59):
I did have that. I wouldn't know.
Speaker 1 (30:01):
We're saying for people rush. We just got to admit
this to ourselves, Okay, Like.
Speaker 4 (30:05):
I think Sanford, Yeah, we had more people show up
in Sampia.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
Uh, we're not downtown Orlando.
Speaker 4 (30:11):
Show.
Speaker 5 (30:11):
There's other places that we could do it though, Like
I know they're like in Claremont there's a really cool
venue that there are other venues we could we could.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
We basically own Mount Door at this point too, So
we do too much Mount Door though, there's too much
mounta Door. I love Mount Door, Chris Carson.
Speaker 4 (30:28):
I love Mount Dora.
Speaker 5 (30:29):
But yet we had four events there last year right now.
Speaker 4 (30:32):
You know, so I think to be fair to other folks.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
So uh, I think going back out on the coast
and doing this, I think I would kill it.
Speaker 4 (30:38):
I would be.
Speaker 5 (30:39):
Open, I agree, I would be open to that, but
I like it at a nice venue like the Abbey.
Speaker 4 (30:45):
Is a nice venue.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
Say they don't got nice venues in Melbourne.
Speaker 4 (30:48):
Well they did.
Speaker 5 (30:48):
They remember the one that we had reserved at one
point and then we had to cancel for some reason.
I forget why, and they were nice enough to give
us some of our money back, but not all of it.
There is a really nice place out in Melbourne that
we could do it. But then you have people complained
that they, you know, they gotta go to Melbourne for
Miss Munts or burlesque.
Speaker 4 (31:07):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (31:07):
I do think Melbourne people complain that we don't ever
go out there.
Speaker 5 (31:11):
Yeah, a switching venue wouldn't be bad. Not that I
didn't like that venue. I had people complaining about, oh
we got the tree lighting, I can't come, or I
don't like to go to downtown Orlando. And what was
the other complaining? And I had Christmas parties to go to.
Those are the three negatives. I mean, we were we
were like twenty away from a sellout, and I always
like to brag about a sellout, you know, So we
(31:33):
were twenty tickets off. I mean that's you know. Yeah,
old Rus would have just said we sold out. But
I'm just being honest with you.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
You know, we don't give them the truth, not ever.
Speaker 4 (31:41):
Yeah, what about Plaza Life.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
I don't know. My Plaza Alife too big?
Speaker 4 (31:46):
Yeah, it didn't have the I don't know.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
It has to be big but intimate at the same time,
if that makes sense, Like that app is actually the
perfect size. It's just a bad location.
Speaker 4 (31:55):
Yeah, I'm gonna tell you when we go out and
tickets are.
Speaker 5 (31:58):
Tickets will be on sale today at ten for the
wrestling match we're doing in January in winter Haven. There's
a place in winter Haven, the Ritz that would be great,
But I don't want to start doing too many things
in winter Haven just because I lived there.
Speaker 4 (32:08):
I know that's not fair.
Speaker 5 (32:10):
But but tickets are on sale for the wrestling event.
And by the way, these are like you know, the
tickets are not expensive. This is this is everybody can
afford this. Uh, tickets are gonna be going on sale
at ten o'clock. I all got the link I got
to put up on our website. But that's gonna be
a great event. I got a bunch of stuff to
tell you about that coming up here in a little bit.
So anyway, listen, thank you to everybody that made Miss
(32:32):
Moster Burlesque happen. Lady James, Courses and Cuties, our friends
at Premiere, Couple, Superstore, who else?
Speaker 4 (32:41):
The Mills Air. Thank you to Mills Air. Just call mo.
Speaker 5 (32:44):
Thank you, just call Mo. Everyone that showed up. Man
just it was. It was an awesome event. And uh
we I think next year we'll do a little couple
of little tweaks. But other than that, the girls did
great air. Bernova kicked ass, Angelique was too sexy. And
Daisy he was Daisy. He did daisy business. All right,
more big dumb fun when we come back.
Speaker 6 (33:04):
You're listening to the mantras morning.
Speaker 4 (33:17):
Jail on this day, Jill ain't chat ass Lucky, I
want what's up?
Speaker 1 (33:25):
He could be on this day, Jail on this night,
jail ain't chat ass snucky, I want to know where
he could be.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
Ry and rush. They made the fuss just because Saint
Johnny is gone.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
Russ and Ryan there, try to get along because Saint
Jelly is gone.
Speaker 5 (33:50):
Tell me back tomorrow. He heaving back tomorrow. Welcome out
to the Mansess. Morning is already rady on one of four.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
Point one.
Speaker 5 (33:57):
Full disclosure that's done by AI. Real people put that
together with AI. That's right, one hundred percent of real
folks putting that together, my AI. Look at the texting service.
It was nice to go downtown for a change. The
traffic was not bad at all, that's true. We found
a place to park pretty close to the abbey. Yeah,
I did too. There was a parking garage. I hate
(34:19):
parking garages, so I parked in an actual lot. But
it was twenty bucks. But I guess you gotta expect
that's what you're gonna pay for parking. Your venue was awesome.
It was an awesome venue. I'm not talking bad about
the abbey, all right.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Venue.
Speaker 4 (34:30):
I love the abbey. I think it's great. I wish
it was just somewhere else.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
Uh. Chat.
Speaker 5 (34:35):
It was our first time and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously.
Thanks for the girl, Well, thank you so much for
sending that text.
Speaker 4 (34:40):
I appreciate it. I enjoy I think I did enjoy.
Speaker 5 (34:44):
It gave me a reason to go to downtown Orlando
for the first time in a long time. I couldn't
believe when I got off I four, I'm like, Okay,
I'll take a rite on Church Street, Like, oh my god,
Church Tree's gonna be packed. Nope, Church Street's not packed anymore, Russ.
That shows how long it's been siness, I've been down there.
There's nothing on Church Street a more. That like all
the places that used to be the places that we
used to go to, uh, you.
Speaker 4 (35:05):
Know, are all closed.
Speaker 5 (35:07):
You know, like like uh Latitudes and then the other
one downstairs.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (35:11):
The only thing that was open still is Cress, which
is it used to be a great restaurant to go
to to eat.
Speaker 4 (35:16):
I don't know if it is any longer. And uh uh.
Speaker 5 (35:20):
And then a lot of stuff has changed in downtown Orlando.
But but I would be open to, like Ryan suggesting
to put it somewhere else that's easier to get to
for people. I would be open to that. And as
long as this is a nice venue like the Abbey.
I don't want to Downgreen Does that make sense?
Speaker 1 (35:39):
No, I know what you mean. And and the the
burlescers don't want to do it either. It's it's gonna
be hard sell getting them to be like, guys, we'll
come to the coast. It'll be fine because they're used
to working at the AD. They do there all the time. Uh,
but you know, there's there's.
Speaker 5 (35:52):
A really nice venue in in a de Land.
Speaker 4 (35:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (35:56):
I used just to push and pull between it's a
monster show and it's a burless show, Like, you know,
we gotta make everybody.
Speaker 5 (36:03):
Well this is monsterb Less. So yeah, it is a
different thing. It's not exactly what Lady James is used to,
which I know freaks out a little bit, and it's
not exactly what we're used to, but you know, we're
willing to you know, it's it's a combination of both.
But man, overall, everybody was telling me they had a
great time and I enjoyed it and yeah, so you know,
we'll we'll figure it out.
Speaker 4 (36:22):
Maybe maybe doing you.
Speaker 5 (36:24):
Know, not in December, because so much stuff goes on
in December.
Speaker 4 (36:28):
For the holidays.
Speaker 1 (36:29):
Yeah, agreed, Yeah, agreed.
Speaker 5 (36:31):
By the way, this coming Wednesday, we have a live
show and it's not just us Monsters in the Morning
from six to eleven, News Junkie from eleven to three,
and the Jim Colbert Show from three to seven.
Speaker 4 (36:41):
And it's a bike drive. So if you can help us.
Speaker 5 (36:44):
You know a lot of kids, especially in this area
that where they pass the bikes out. You know, the
kids need bikes. That's a great thing to do for
the holidays for the kids. And we will be doing
a live show at Orlando Harley Davidson this coming Wednesday,
two days from now, thanks to just Call Mo and
Orlando Harley Davidson. So if you want to come by
(37:04):
and watch us do this show, you're welcome to. I
know we're gonna have a little stage thing set up
and we'll be doing a live show. I don't know
what we're doing. I think we're just gonna try to
do a show. I don't have a gimmick or anything yet.
You want a gimmick.
Speaker 1 (37:17):
I thought about it gick for twenty twenty five.
Speaker 5 (37:20):
Yeah, I have not thought about the Wednesday show at all.
It's not really it wasn't something I put together.
Speaker 1 (37:24):
Any gimmick is that it's it's it's for charity. We're
already doing a good thing. What more gimmicks do we get?
I mean, if you want gimmicks, that's all that's on.
Just call mo or Core Flooring. Okay, Like you guys
come with your gimmicks.
Speaker 5 (37:37):
No, no, no, I mean we're supposed to come up
with a you know, if I didn't come up with
the idea, then then I don't think about it that much.
Speaker 4 (37:44):
And I know we're gonna do it on Wednesday.
Speaker 5 (37:46):
We're almost like you're act I am a narcisist without
a doubt. The one thing you'd never offend a narcissist
with is by telling them they're a narcissist.
Speaker 4 (37:55):
It doesn't bother me, you know what.
Speaker 1 (37:56):
I've seen several YouTube videos that say that exact thing.
Speaker 4 (37:59):
Yes, he's not getting that. When you say that, I know.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
That's getting it.
Speaker 2 (38:02):
Was.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
That was just like I'm acknowledging that if it's not
your idea, you care less.
Speaker 5 (38:06):
Well, yeah, because it's not on me, you know, but
they're asking us. You know, we're doing it on Wednesday,
and the entire radio station is doing it, and we're
gonna give it our best, and we're gonna hope that
our listeners will show up.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
I really don't know what we do to for gimmick wise.
I mean, like people are bringing bikes. We always appreciate that.
We get a ton of bikes every year. We get
to talk to the people as they do it. It's fun.
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (38:26):
Yeah, we've had celebrities come by before. I don't think
lesbians work for bike drive. It would run it is,
but let's see it is that Harley Davidson. But we've
already done like, can.
Speaker 1 (38:37):
We do a jump? Can we get can we build
a tiny ramp where we jump? We take a child's bike,
we jump over something.
Speaker 5 (38:44):
Okay, and say, I like where you're going? That's there
you go. I think you I think you can do that.
And can you wear the I'm gonna say where the bear.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
Cost doing it? I'm not going, Oh.
Speaker 5 (38:54):
My god, that just came back from twenty years ago.
Can you wear the bear costume? I almost just that
was my subconscious speaking.
Speaker 1 (39:03):
We don't have a bear cost we don't have drinking
anymore costume.
Speaker 5 (39:08):
We do have a Jake costume. That don't even just
slipped out of my mouth, like will you wear the
bear coster? Good God, olmighty. All right, listen, we gotta
take a break. We come back. Oh, you know, we're
gonna mix things up because we've got prizes and stuff today,
of course, but next we got to talk about Monster Sports.
What happened in Monsters Sports yesterday? And how many times
(39:31):
did I text Ryan during the Miami Dolphin game?
Speaker 1 (39:34):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (39:34):
And what's gonna happen? Uh?
Speaker 5 (39:36):
Did all kinds of the Monster Sport stuff I want
to chat about. We'll do that when we come back.
Don't go anywhere. You're listening to the mantra in the morning.
I don't want to know what he could be
