This beautiful Monday, our last Monday Live Monday of twenty
twenty five.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Well, it's up.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
I'm Russ Rollins, host of the program and with the fellas.
We're doing this till eleven. Here's the producer of the
Angel Boom Angel Verra cold look and I can't go
damn my Ryan. Oh yeah, so okay, we can talk
about this a little more in depth of later. I
don't want to start the show with sad and depression,
but it's breaking news, so I think it's something I'm
starting the show said, no I do not no, no, no,
(01:58):
but it's something like this. You gotta mention so you know,
I remember, I forget what the last celebrity death was,
and I'm like, between now and the end of the year,
there'll be something that'll be absolutely shocking, and you know,
someone will pass that we didn't everythink would happen. Rob
Reiner and his wife were stabbed and they're saying allegedly
by their son.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Uh, Stabney killed Robert the director Rob Ryder.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
You know from all in the family, he was meathead.
He also was the director of stand By Me the
Princess Bride when Harry met Sally Misery. He won an
oscar for a few good men, the American President, a
bucket list, spinal tap like he did all of those
and all around it. You know, most people call him
(02:39):
just a wonderful guy. He and his wife found stabbed
to death in their home in uh in Hollywood, and
ongoing investigation Monday. I know, say that is their thirty
two year old son, Nick is the prime suspect, is
what they're saying. And well, that's to stab somebody to death.
There's some serious kind of ad right that that is
(03:01):
a hate crime times ten. Uh that that that that's
really crazy.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
He's got a bunch of kids.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
Actually he's got a you know, the son, Nick is
the one that they believe did this, and then you
got uh, he's got several other kids and one adopted
daughter from his first marriage with Penny Marshall. So uh,
A lot of people in Hollywood are very upset because, uh,
he was very well loved and and you know, for
me growing up, like all the family was a staple.
(03:29):
That's all that we watched, like, you know, every single week.
My dad absolutely loved it. Uh So, I mean, you know,
I've been a kind of a fan of his for
a long time. And it's it's pretty shocking, man. That
is that is shocking news.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Uh. From over the.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Weekend, and between now and the end of the year,
there will be probably another celebrity death that will uh
that will shock.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
I mean, celebrity doesn't like this is a little different.
It's a double murder.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Yeah, you know, it's a it's a lot different. You
were right, it's a double murder, and uh it's not
you know, obviously not something anyone would would expect it.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Investigation is still going on, but you know, it took
me a while to find anyone that you know, because
at first you didn't. I thought maybe it was just
a random thing. But my overnight prep flat out. The
title says Rob Ryder and his wife were stabbed to
death by their son, and they're saying his name and
all that.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
If you looked on ABC, NBC.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
News, no other publication naming him.
Speaker 1 (04:22):
Yeah, no other publication, Your it's your prep and People
magazine even TMZ. Uh didn't say that it was their son.
But it's kind of irresponsible. Well, I mean none if
it's I mean they're saying that.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
Let's see here, how did they validate that he's being questioned?
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Uh see, it's ongoing. But sources say they were murdered
by their son.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
Wow, that's how they get off the hook.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Yeah, sources say I was having a good morning.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Guy.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Listen, it's breaking news.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
People need to know about it. We'll have you'll still
have a good morning. We can we can announce something
that's breaking and you can still Look, you didn't know
Rob Reiner.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
You didn't really care about it. No, don't care.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
I'm sad.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Oh you'll get over it. You'll be fine.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
We'll talk about how wonderful weekend you had.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (05:06):
But I thought I think it's important to uh to
note for those that don't know the breaking news and
you know the reports.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
I can't go to work today. Rob Reiner is dead.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Yeah, the reports, I see, they're saying it's just thirty
two year olds.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
So and they showed a picture of.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
The whole family and like all the family looked really happy.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
But the one son.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
The one Nick, the one that they're saying, he looked
in the picture they showed, he looked like he was
the mad one for whatever reason. He looked all pissed
off and the rest of them looked all happy. But yeah,
so that's breaking news from from overnight. We'll get into
it a little bit more a little bit later onto
the show, but that's, you know, just in case you're
just waking up and you didn't want to know what's
happening in the news.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
That's a that's a big news story.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
Other than that, man, I've had I've had an incredible weekend.
Incredible uh you know, Uh, I'm in full on Christmas
mode man, Chris Christmas spirit left and right.
Speaker 2 (05:57):
I got it too, tso was amazing.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
I saw you guys had a great day yesterday out
at Boxy Park, So I want to hear about.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
All of that.
Speaker 5 (06:05):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
And then on Friday, right after the show, we did
our Christmas Like you know, they asked us over a
Magic one O seven seven to host another Christmas Night.
Our ratings were really good the first time. They're like, hey,
do you mind doing it again? We didn't know we
didn't promote it as much as we did the first one.
You didn't even talk about it a lot because we
hadn't done it yet, so we didn't know what to expect.
But it was me and Angel and Ryan and amber Nova.
(06:29):
Wait to hear, I gotta tell you it amber Nova story.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
But we we.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Hosted the Christmas thing and I stayed up Friday night
and listened to it and it's not a good Angel.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Everything flowed really well.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
We actually knew the songs that, you know, the songs
that we said were going to come up. You know,
actually there are ones that came up. And it was
all good. Did you have fun doing that?
Speaker 4 (06:47):
Absolutely? That's like that's like radio, you know, music radio
version of what we're doing. So that's that's fun to do.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
Yeah, and then uh and then Ryan, we went over
to their studio and their studio is all decked out
like super.
Speaker 5 (07:01):
They're living high on the hog over there. Yeah, that's
ridiculous that they had a gingerbread. The entire thing was
like a gingerbread house. On the inside there was candies
and treats and all kinds of stuff.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
The vibe was good. It didn't smell like farts in there.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
It was crazy and and so we found out that Brooke,
you know who sometimes will will produce for us if
angels out.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
Brook.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
You guys have heard us talk about her. She does
all photos for us and everything. Brooke, I guess went
over and decorated their their studio.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
Yeah, well we talked to Brook a little bit about that.
Speaker 5 (07:33):
I guess her mom, Lizzie, who's who's in the show
across the hall, Yeah, does the heavy lift and she
likes to do this kind of stuff. She's got like
a Christmas like trailer or like a storage unit that
she has all this stuff just like ready to go.
So we need to, if so fact though, hire Lizzie
to come over here and Brooke picking wallpaper this studio.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Now, let me tell you what I was told. I
was told a different story. So on Saturday night when
I went to t s O trans Iberian Orchestra, introducing
me on stage was Leslie Gale and Chad Chad and Leslie.
So Leslie Gail was there and I got to talk
to her, and what she had told me was is
that it was I guess Lizzie's mother's dying wish to
(08:16):
decorate their their studio, which made me, which made.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
Me feel terrible.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
I'm like, oh my god, we were bitching about Brooking
and it was somebody's dying wish to decorate their birth.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
I mean, from what we were hanging out with Brook yesterday,
it was it was all Lizzy that did everything in there.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Yeah, well I think it was Lizzie's mom's dying wish
because she loves she loves Leslie and Chad's That's our show,
which I can see that you know, she really wanted.
So she did it in honor of her mom. Uh
And I'm like, oh man, that makes her sound like
a bunch of dicks complaining about the Brook.
Speaker 3 (08:50):
Is their most alive. She get her to listen to
the monsters.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
She died, she's already passed.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
And I don't we get a dad's dying wish.
Speaker 2 (08:59):
We could try.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
Yeah he's in good health.
Speaker 5 (09:01):
Yeah okay, but we're all gonna die eventually, right truth.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
I always I always.
Speaker 5 (09:07):
Feel like that, like like you're making like they got
to make a wish foundation and you're just a kid,
you're chilling, and then John Cena shows up and you're like,
oh no.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
What do you mean?
Speaker 3 (09:15):
I mean, it's not.
Speaker 5 (09:16):
Going well so I don't know, I don't think about
dying wishes that much, but like to get the studio decorated.
I mean, that's what a strangely specific dying wish.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
Well, you know they love Christmas, I guess. I guess
so some people just love it.
Speaker 3 (09:32):
Could you just do it either way, whether like mom
wanted it or not?
Speaker 2 (09:35):
In here? Uh, we could do?
Speaker 1 (09:37):
You think we could even you think it would be
even possible to decorate this room like Christmas.
Speaker 3 (09:42):
It's too late now, I mean we're getting four days
of it.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
That's I mean, we're out of here.
Speaker 5 (09:47):
Yeah, this room is kind of like the opposite of Christmas,
Like it kind of looks like hell in here.
Speaker 3 (09:51):
It's like black and red with flames.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
Like that's what I was thinking, Like, I don't know
you could change this into a room.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
You totally could.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
We got we got already got the we read. Would
you change the black to greens and Christmas?
Speaker 1 (10:02):
Well, I'm gonna change like you know, my little monster
thing behind me that's uh, you know, it's flames.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
It looks like I'm in Hell constantly.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
I'm gonna change probably on Thursday, I'll change that to
a Christmas background.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
Well, I can make that snowfall for wow.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
Okay, well if you can do that, that'd be cool,
just for the just for the week, okay, yes, for
the week.
Speaker 4 (10:20):
For next year. If we're going to do that, we
should probably do it like the right when we come
back from Thanksgiving. Yeah, I and spend the day in
there and uh with her with maybe we could hit
uh Lizzie up and briber and have her be our
technical decorator. I like that and help us out.
Speaker 2 (10:35):
Well this week, here's what we got, guys.
Speaker 1 (10:38):
We just got five days this week, right, we got today,
we got you know, the rest of the week. Wednesday,
we're live out of the Cure Bowl, so we're doing
a big part of the Cure Ball. I'm told we
got to be there at three is what they're telling me.
So good, what I guess there's a tailgate party and
then and then we go to the game.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
Cool.
Speaker 2 (10:53):
Yeah, yeah, So new rule.
Speaker 5 (10:55):
I need to verify why I need to be somewhere
early from now on after this weekend.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
Okay, we'll discuss that. I'm sure there's a story there.
So we do have the Cure Ball this Wednesday, and
then on Friday it's the real Radio Monster Radiothon to
benefit the Coalition for the Homeless. So we've got a
bunch of acts coming in here. I just found out,
did you guys see the email that our green room
(11:20):
is being turned into an office and we.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Got to get everything out of there.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, So there's a bunch of stuff in
there we can auction off or need to auction off
or get rid of. So we have room so we
can auction a lot of that stuff off for the
Coalition for the Homeless. For this Friday, we got what
else are we gonna do. We'll come up with other
ways to raise money for the Coalition for the Homeless.
I know they're really in need this year, Like every
(11:46):
year they are, but more than ever, they're in need
this year. So we'll do our best to raise as
much money as possible on Friday, and then we're off
until the beginning of the new year.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
That's exciting, very exciting, very excited for this.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
A little bit of sleep, it would be good. I'm
looking forward to that. I had a great weekend. I'm
gonna tell you about some of the stuff that happened
at trans Iberian Orchestra. We're gonna catch up with what
happened with I got a funny story, but abnoba.
Speaker 4 (12:12):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
And then we'll catch up with Ryan and Angel about
the Boxy Park, which looked great. I saw the video
of you guys out there, nice crowd. Uh, it looked awesome.
You had your own trailer. Oh yeah, that's cool. Yeah,
that's good.
Speaker 4 (12:25):
There was some realizations that it was fun to watch
Ryan come to these realizations.
Speaker 5 (12:30):
Yeah, we talked about this. I got some thoughts, I
learned some stuff. Well good, and I've been changed in
a way that I don't know if I can come
back from nice.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
Well that's good. Is it a good thing or is
it a bad thing?
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Bad for you? Good for me?
Speaker 2 (12:42):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Okay, all right, all right. Well well most things are
that come out of your head. Yeah, yeah, all right.
So a lot of big dumb fun today. Don't go anywhere.
You're listening to the monsters in the morning.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
Someday Alexa will do everything. Alexa, can you take the
dog for a walk? No way in hell to play?
Speaker 1 (13:16):
Taxi service checking. A lot of people texting this morning.
Thank you guys, appreciate it. Someone wants to know if
my mom's Christmas village is up. My mom's Christmas village
stays up year round. Now she doesn't take it down
and put it back up. So yeah, it's up, and
in our house is extra Christmas, which is good.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
I mean that is extra Christmas. We got.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Now we got eight Christmas trees, right, eight trees, eight
Christmas tree.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
The breeding I don't know.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Man, mary Ella just got all into it real. Oh no,
all fath all artificial.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
So during the year you have to store eight Christmas trees.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
I gotey, damn is a forest bro. I know, I know,
but I gotta tell you it's putting me.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
I mean, I'm full on in in a preciation Christmas mode.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
You have eight rooms in your house?
Speaker 2 (14:03):
Yeah, I mean yeah.
Speaker 5 (14:05):
Okay, are there Christmas trees in the bathroom? I'm sorry,
that's just a lot of trees.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
She's decorated some in the courtyard area and there's some
out on the back patio.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
I might do that, Yeah, I could do that'd be fun.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
They all decorated different.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
Yeah, yeah, they're all different and uh and uh, you know,
and she decorated.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
A lot of decorations. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
I'm falling in the Christmas spirit for sure, and I
definitely want to find out what happened with you guys
at Boxing Park. Let me go through to T s
O and then we'll get to you guys for sure.
Uh but uh, trans Iberian Orchestra was on. Uh was
on Saturday. I had I had a late Friday night.
Oh let's just say, listen to Christmas music and we
were being very romantic. It was romantic night on Friday.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
Age was like, this is the information. We don't need
to do that.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
Yeah, you could have just left all of that out, unimportant.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
You know what Christmas puts me in a you know,
let's say romantic Christmas makes you horny kind of yeah.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Just what we were dancing to Christmas music and drinking
and just you know, had a great you.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
Know, thanks for sharing.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
Oh yeah, okay, just sharing too much?
Speaker 5 (15:12):
Were you getting down to yourself again where you're listening
to magic and like hearing yourself?
Speaker 2 (15:15):
I did? I love I love hearing myself on the radio.
It's so cool. And you guys sounded good too, bring
us into this.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
You were funny, Ryan. It was great, you know. And anyway,
so Friday night was a late night. I spent most
half the day in Saturday. I kind of you know,
sleeping off whatever we did Friday night, and then uh
and then Trans Siberian Orchestra, right, and I got a
group of folks that were joining me at Trans Siberian Orchestra,
and so I had to meet him at a certain time,
(15:43):
and you know me, I like to be early. Thank god,
I did try to meet him early, because that traffic
from winter Haven through past Disney trying to get to
the Kia Center always backed up.
Speaker 2 (15:54):
So I just made it right. Even though I left.
Speaker 1 (15:57):
Early, I made it right at the perfect time to
meet everybody. And and there was a misunderstand misunderstanding. I
thought I thought several people were allowed to go on
stage with me, and it turned out that they they
weren't going to allow that many people on stage. It
was whatever, it was a misunderstanding. Oh you know what
else happened. I don't like this story a thing, Angel,
because this is so how important this is to me.
(16:19):
So I was sitting in front of the box office,
and I had four tickets because we were going on stage,
so all my tickets were separate from the other tickets
I got for friends and family, right, okay, So I
had with my phone because everything was on my phone
you know, like the tickets were all like fourteen tickets
were on.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
My phone, so I had to go and.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
Walk people in and use my phone to get them
in to the thing. Right. So so I go through
and they they you know, they want to see your
what's in your pockets? And I got my keys and
all my keys. I got that little thing that you
gave me. That's a screwdriver and it's a bottle opener
and it's what else is it.
Speaker 2 (16:55):
A multitol multi tool? Right, it's it's it's you know,
there's nothing sharp is on it. It's just multitole, right.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
So you know, the first time I go through, the
guy looks like, oh yeah, no problem, go through, and
I you know, I let two people in and I
go back to Oh no, it's not that one. That's
that's the one I gave you, the one angel I
don't have to get.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
You know what I mean, it's the oh the one
on the keychain.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Yes, it's on a keychain exactly.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
So I go through one time at one time, guy goes, yeah,
no problem, go ahead, and I do it. And I
go back and there's three more people I got to
get in. So I go through the line again. I
get another. That's the second time that a different person
sees it. Okay, go ahead, you're fine. The third time,
I go through because I got to get three four
more people in no problem the last time. And it's
getting close to the time to to you know that
(17:38):
I have to be in a particular place. The woman's like, oh, yeah,
you're gonna have to You're gonna have to leave that outside.
Are you gonna throw that away? And I'm like, no,
I don't. I've been through here five times. There's nothing
sharp on that. It's a tool that a friend gave me. Nope,
you can't, well, then you can't come in.
Speaker 2 (17:52):
I'm like, ma'am.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
And now now I'm getting pissed. Right now, I'm getting mad.
I said, I ain't throwing it away, And if you
want to go get a manager, go get a manager.
I said, but I'm not this. If my friend gave
this to me, there's nothing sharp on it. I've been
doing it. Five other people told me this was okay. Well,
and she starts getting like, well, I don't care, that's
my job, and I said, yeah, whatever, and I just
ignore her, and I'm like, screw you. I just ignore it.
(18:14):
And I just I go and I get these other
people in. Actually it was the listeners. We had a
couple of listeners that drove from Georgia.
Speaker 4 (18:19):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
And my wife suggests that, hey, won't you you know,
we have some extra tickets. Won't you upgrade them and
let them sit with our friend friends and family? So
I did, and uh, and so I just I'm like, no,
I was a go get a manager. I'm not doing that.
I'm not, you know, because all they wanted to do
was just throw that thing away for no reason like
other people that told me it was fine.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
And so then it was it turned out being like
who's going to be more heart at at me or
the lady?
Speaker 3 (18:44):
Now, when did you start yelling do you know who
I am?
Speaker 2 (18:47):
I did not say do you know who I am?
Speaker 1 (18:49):
But I had a VIP pass on and and uh,
and she's like, you're.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
Gonna go in?
Speaker 1 (18:55):
I said, no, I'm going in another door, and I
showed her the pass because I'm going to do something
on stage and I'm not a crazy person and I'm
not giving up my tool. So so if I got
to wait for your manager, I will, but I'm not
giving it up. And then she's like, well, fine, I'm
just doing my job. And I'm like, yeah, whatever, I'm
just doing my job. That was That was pissed man. Anyway,
(19:17):
that was the only little thing that happened that night.
But so then we go and I gather everybody together,
and I misunderstood the very nice lady that put everything together.
She's like, I want all your family to be there,
and I we were having a conversation about being on stage,
and I thought she meant on stage. What she just
meant was she wanted them all to be at the event.
So I misunderstood. So I had to tell my mom
(19:38):
and a couple of people that they couldn't go on stage.
And I could only pick one person to go on stage,
and I picked my brother in law because I know
it meant a lot to him, you know. And and
then they were like, well, Ambernova's here, she's on the radio.
We want her to come too. And I'm like that's fine,
you know, We're so we're back getting ready to walk
up and there's a couple of people who are going
to do the announcing and stuff from trans hib In Orchestra,
(20:01):
and uh, you know, they come over and meet us
a say hi to us. So you know, they made
us a hi to us and a little bit of
small talk going on, and Apernova looks at one up
and goes, are all of you from Transylvania?
Speaker 4 (20:14):
That sounds about right.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
And I swear to god, I thought I thought I
was going to laugh until I passed out. And they're like,
now we're none of us are from Transylvania. And then
my brother in law Mark starts explaining, you know, it's
trans Siberian.
Speaker 2 (20:33):
It's a it's a rare right, he was.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
He felt bad for her because, you know, like we're
all laughing at her, so he's trying to keep a
straight face and try to explain to her what trans
Siberian is.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
And Amer's like, oh, I thought they were all from.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
Transylvania, which he was one of the funniest things I've
seen in my life.
Speaker 2 (20:51):
And right before we're about to go up on stage, right,
are you so.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
She's the trans?
Speaker 5 (20:57):
First of all, the word Siberian is also in there,
just skips that she's trans. Her brain goes that is
either short for transgender, right or Transylvania. They must be
from Transylvania, Syberiy. I don't know what that is.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
Y'all kept it together, or they kept it together and
played along with it. The next question would have been, like,
where are the vampires?
Speaker 2 (21:16):
Right? Right, right, right, right right?
Speaker 1 (21:18):
That was one of the funniest things I was when
I walked up on stage. I was still laughing about that.
Speaker 2 (21:23):
That was. And it's funny because Mark.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
You know, my brother in law, he's you know, uh,
he's all we're being so mean.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
We're regular person doesn't live in cartoon land.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
He doesn't live in cartoon He didn't understand how damn
funny that was.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
That is ridiculously funny.
Speaker 5 (21:37):
I would I would not stop laughing untill just twenty
minutes ago.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
I couldn't wait to tell you guys the story. God,
I wanted to tell you before the show. But if anybody.
Speaker 5 (21:45):
Thinks that she's a character and she's playing it up, no,
that is her one hundred.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
One and she's sweet as she could be. Of course, yeah,
because she was like, what's uncle Russ? Uncle right? Make
sure you don't curse on stage. There's a lot of
kids here.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
I'm like, what makes you think I'm gonna curse on
the stafe?
Speaker 2 (22:01):
What's wrong with you? Anyway?
Speaker 1 (22:03):
So we go up and they do the the presentation
and it's it's like a great, great donation from Trans
Siberian Orchestra. If you guys don't know, what they do
is every ticket they sell, they give a dollar of
every ticket to local charities. And they picked our charity
as one of four. Here at iHeart that they gave to.
Baby DJ got part of the donation, MELSS Girls a
(22:29):
Bad Girls Club, Girl, Advent Health got a portion, and
then it was the Carly K Cancer Screening Fund. But
I was the only one they're you know, representing, and
it was like a fifteen thousand dollars check. So we'll
get about five thousand dollars, which is great, which is amazing,
which is awesome. So Leslie, Gail, Leslie and Chad they
did the presentation. It was their year to do the presentation.
(22:51):
It just happened to pick our our charity. So Amber
and I will represent the show and there for that.
And you were a ball gown she did here, I shay.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
The picture right there. She wore a red ball gowon.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Each other to match.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
I had a red jacket on, you know, and I
was all all and I had a Santa Claus shirt
underneath it.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
So your red jacket does fit.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
Its fit Okay, it fit better a year ago, but whatever.
So this was cool. Okay, So a lot of listeners
were there. A lot of listeners were coming by and
say hi.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
But when they do the presentation, they're like, okay, we
need to take a picture on stage. So we go
to take a picture and it gets really really quiet,
and somebody from the back of the back of the
arena yells we love you Ross and then everybody cheered
and laughed, and I put it on social media. That
was that was so cool and it made me so happy,
you know, just that was very really nice. So the
(23:48):
guy that did it, I want to put a thank
you out to whoever yell like we love you Russ.
But then after that, so many people were coming up
and saying hi, so many I met. Linda Bird's brother
was one of the guys. He's a big brother. Yeah, yeah,
Linda Bird's brother. He's a big dude.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
Uh big. I don't know what is what big Bird? No,
it was not big.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
And we were sitting with the uh the family of
everybody who's on stage at trans Iberian Orchestra. Okay, I
have not been to that in a while. I had
forgotten how effing amazing it is. And if you've never
gone and you got a chance to go next year,
it is just one of the coolest shows. Brought my mom,
which my mom sat right next to me, and and
(24:32):
Mary Ellen and Kim Hooker and Mary Beth all my
other friends were sitting with us.
Speaker 4 (24:37):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
And I kept looking at my mom and she's staring
at the stage, just kind of chewing her chewing gum,
just chewing and.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
No expression on her face.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
She looked like she was looking at the microwave pop
and popcorn like like like no expression at all.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
I'm like, I don't think mom likes this, you know.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
So I let it go on a little bit more
and there's more lights and fire and stuff, and I'm like,
and man, she's just sitting there looking I've got a
video I can show you. I'm let me show you
the look she had right for most of the time.
And I'm thinking, well, she does not like this at all.
Hold on, if you can say hold on, hold on,
see the look on her face. She sat there with
(25:12):
that look on her face like the entire time. And
I lean over, like a mom, what do you think
about this? This is Nate, I love it. I'm like, well,
you're not even smiling. Can you look like you're happy
for a second.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
Not to be rude, just just a question.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
She high. She was not high.
Speaker 5 (25:29):
Good because I've seen people do that too, where they're
having a great time and they're just like staring.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
Yeah, she said she.
Speaker 4 (25:33):
I thought it was your mom's first time seeing this, right.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
She thought she was going to a boring orchestra, and
she's like, this is like that Kiss concert you took.
Speaker 2 (25:40):
Me to nineteen seventy nine.
Speaker 4 (25:43):
She's taking it all in.
Speaker 1 (25:44):
She was taking it all in and she absolutely loved it.
And everybody that came with me who had not seen
it before were like, oh my god, Like honestly, like,
if I'm comparing it to a kiss concert, you can't
even They go five steps beyond a kiss concert. There's
so much stuff that goes on with Trance Iberian Orchestra
stage wise, it is an amazing show. Now, some of
(26:06):
the songs, obviously you don't know. They write these songs
and Christmas songs special for their thing, but some of
them you've heard on the radio, and the ones where
it's just the guys playing guitars and stuff, the drummer.
Speaker 2 (26:16):
It was amazing.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (26:18):
I got to meet the drummer beforehand. He was very
very nice and uh yeah, tso is just it's worth
every penny. Uh once again. They also give to local
charities and it's all around a good thing. Man.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
You've never been yet to have you, Ryan.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
I have not.
Speaker 5 (26:31):
No, I was gonna go this time, but I had to.
I had to go to I was with Linda Berg.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
Yeah, I know it was gonna story with her brother.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
I was with her.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
I saw this big guy coming up to me as
I was walking off the stage. And when I was
walking off the stage, so many people were yelling hey Russ,
Hey Russ. So everybody that did it meant the world
to me instead of well the and the guy that
you know, we love you, Russ. And then it got
a big pop afterwards. You can see the look on
my face, you know, on stage when it happened.
Speaker 3 (26:56):
It and then I held my multi tool in the
air and everybody's cheered.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
You I'm taking my programmer.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
Yeah, but so night, so many nice people, and I
appreciate that, and it was great.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
And so this big guy comes walking up to me.
I'm like, oh, this dude, and he's like, I'm lender
Bird's brother. I'm like, damn, I didn't know she had
a brother, and you're a big fella. But uh yeah,
all the way around, great night everyone.
Speaker 3 (27:17):
They can man, Look, it looked great. I saw the
social media posts all day.
Speaker 4 (27:20):
It was good.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
It looked like it was a great event for you.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
You know, I might have put up too much stuff
from tso oh, but.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
It was only in my feed fourteen times.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
I know. It's just with the whole thing.
Speaker 5 (27:33):
Was you put it on your posts, you put it
on radio real radius, The Monsters, Yeah, the Monsters YouTube,
Facebook group, Instagram.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
I mean I saw, I feel like I was there.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
I well, good, well you know what, I feel like.
I wanted to help promote them and let everyone see.
If you didn't go this year, you know you can
go next year. But it was it was amazing. Everybody
there was so nice. The folks here from the radio
station that set it up for the charity, Thank you
guys so much.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
I appreciate it. Leslie gay and and Chad.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
Super super sweet people just all around and really put
the the love in my heart for Christmas even more.
Uh is this as if I didn't have enough on
Friday night.
Speaker 3 (28:11):
Yeah, you should go to celebrate gross got eight trees,
but there's a ninth wood in there.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
I mean, and then so then I got I was
so amorous this weekend. We uh, full of love.
Speaker 1 (28:28):
We we decided on Sunday to Now this is going
to sound like some old man s but I don't care.
Speaker 4 (28:33):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
We decided let's go watch the football games up at
the Moose Lodge. So we jumped in the boat, took
a little tour around with the with the boat, went
to the Moose Lodge and they had a band there
and uh and and we were we were dancing the
middle of the day, drinking and dancing and watching football.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
Uh and having romantic time on a Sunday.
Speaker 3 (28:51):
Stop adding that part in Well, I'm.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
Just saying we're very romantic this weekend.
Speaker 5 (28:54):
And you know what your version of romance means, like,
are you trying to impress us.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
With this chick?
Speaker 3 (29:03):
And I had sex with there, yes, your wife, buddy.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
Listen, when I know stupid stuff, I tell you that
if I had a great weekend on I.
Speaker 5 (29:10):
Have sex, I let you know, and I let all
of the Central Florida know too.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
This guy f I was saying romance, bro, I didn't say.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
You we know what you mean by romance.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
Well, we didn't have sex in the Moose Lodge. We
were we were just making out.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
We hit it in the car and the parking lot
of the movie.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
When's the last time you danced and kissed on the
dance floor?
Speaker 3 (29:28):
Last time? Yea, yeah, let's ask first time?
Speaker 2 (29:32):
Well, my was Sunday at the Moose Lodge.
Speaker 3 (29:35):
Wow, the old horny Moose.
Speaker 2 (29:37):
Yeah yeah, it was good.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
But anyway, so tell me about Saturday night you hosted
trivia out at Linda.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
Bird's place, right I did.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
Is there a lot to talk about it?
Speaker 1 (29:48):
If there is, we can talk about it in the
next segment where you could wrap it up in a minute.
Wow wow, Okay, No, I'm just saying I'm giving your choice.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
This is choose your own destiny.
Speaker 5 (29:58):
It's more than thirty secon into a story you can
a little bit long, all.
Speaker 4 (30:02):
Right, bye?
Speaker 3 (30:02):
Yeah, I went to trivia Linda Burgs was great?
Speaker 2 (30:04):
Was it good?
Speaker 3 (30:05):
So good?
Speaker 2 (30:05):
Did you have a crowd?
Speaker 1 (30:06):
And you have the choice to either go next segment or.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
Wrapped it up in the third seconds. That's the choice
you gave me. You you chose my adventure. I didn't
choose any adventures.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
Do I need to ask you about it in the
next segment?
Speaker 3 (30:19):
Yeah, that'd be nice.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
All right, let's do that.
Speaker 3 (30:21):
All right, we'll do the weekend too. Mister t s O, okay.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
Did you do any loving on the dance floor?
Speaker 1 (30:27):
An, it's just bizarre, all right. You're listening to the
match of the morning.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
Hey.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
By the way, the folks of the Mooseladge.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
Are extending the invitation for Angel and Ryan. They want
you to come out. I want you.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
I can't wait for you guys to feel the love
of winter Haven because the folks out there are excited
about our show. I had several people ask me about
getting a ring sign tickets for the wrestling event on
January the sixteenth. I cannot get you ringside. If you
want ringside tickets, you need to get them right away
because they're.
Speaker 2 (31:08):
Gonna sell out.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
And I don't handle tickets, guys, that's the venue Tanners
handles at. I don't handle any of that. We just
bring the circus and they sell the tickets. So I
can't get your ringside tickets. Several people say they want
to go, but only think get ringside tickets, you got
to go to Real Radiomonsters dot com. That's Real Radio
Monsters dot com and get your tickets in advance. If
you want to get ringside, there'll be a I'm sure
(31:30):
a bunch a bunch of bunch of general admission. But
if you want to sit ringside or get a table
with a bottle of Triple R blended whiskey or a
bottle of Daisil del Toro's tequila, those are available as well.
But that's all Next month, when I saw everybody at
the mooselidge on because they still remember the whatever guy
that said the Angel wasn't allowed to go to the
Moose Lodge and that pisces them off, and they said
(31:52):
that they don't think that guy was really a member
of a real Moose lodge, because nobody in the Moose
would say that is what they told me.
Speaker 2 (31:58):
Angel.
Speaker 4 (31:59):
I believe them because we had to. I mean, we
had a great outpouring of a bunch of different Moose
lodges in central Florida, not just not just your guys,
that one in particular, but there was a handful. There's
one like right up the road, there is another one
I think like in the East part of Orlando that
also kind of reached out as well. So I would
tend to believe like those members, as opposed to some
(32:19):
d head who wanted wanted to leave a voicemail.
Speaker 1 (32:22):
He let the one of those hot takes and like
you're not allowed to come around. But they remember that
and it makes them mad, so they can't wait to
meet you guys January the sixteenth, So tell me right
on the trivia out at Linda Bird's Place, how did
he go? And then also I want to hear we
might need more time to hear about Boxy Parks, so maybe.
Speaker 4 (32:40):
We'll push back. Park's a whole other segment.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
Okay, yeah, yeah, okay, Well we'll see people do that
at at the top of the hour at seven. But
how did everything go with Lynda Bird's Place?
Speaker 2 (32:48):
It was good?
Speaker 3 (32:48):
Nothing else happened. What happened?
Speaker 5 (32:51):
No, it was it was I went out to the
Crimson House on Friday evening, No, Saturday evening. Yeah, because
the whole day kettle corn first Saturday was a very
long day, very long weekend, very long week ahead of
us too. Uh, and then I'll be so glad for vacation.
You have no idea, but the Crimson House. Really nice.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
We're going back out there again in the summer correct. Mm, yeah, so.
Speaker 1 (33:12):
It's traditional first day of summer we spend at the
Crimson House, winder Bird at the you know, at her place.
Speaker 5 (33:17):
She upgraded since the last time I was there too,
Like the remember how I was like all.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
Multi back there. Yeah, she got pavers. I'll pave down.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
Oh, how's that.
Speaker 5 (33:26):
It's nice. It's like real nice there at the Crimson
House now.
Speaker 3 (33:30):
So, uh, I've done trivia in a while.
Speaker 5 (33:33):
I went old school because like I used to do
it from like like people could play on their phones
and it kind of prevented cheating. But I was just like,
I'm just gonna bring the pens, I'm gonna bring the paper.
Speaker 3 (33:41):
And I hadn't done it in a minute that way.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
And and I'm working myself up, you know. I made
social media posts.
Speaker 5 (33:50):
We talked about the on air a bunch of times,
and I'm like, all right, we're going out here in
New smarta beach set off.
Speaker 3 (33:55):
Brought the dog with me.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
It's good.
Speaker 5 (33:58):
I'm so glad. My dog is a good little car.
Some dogs are like terrible in a car. This dog
will just like chill she sits in the back seat.
I don't have to worry about her. She's locked in
with a little seatbelt thing.
Speaker 1 (34:10):
You probably could have stayed out at the Crimson House,
but you had something to do the next day, right, No, oh,
you stayed at the Crimson House.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
No, I didn't.
Speaker 5 (34:16):
I mean, like i'd be a boxy park. But I
definitely could have and probably should have stayed there. Driving
in the middle of the night it's not fun for
a guy who's been up since four thirty in the morning.
And my wife can't drive right now because of the
surgery she had. Right She doing okay, she's doing great,
she's recovering nicely, but she can't drive because if, like
a if she did make like a sudden movement, that
(34:37):
wouldn't be good for her. So so head out there.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
And then I get there and no one is there. No,
there was.
Speaker 5 (34:48):
There was one guy there, Yeah, and it was the
guy who was at the summer festival that we did
that looks exactly like Jeff Howell right there. So I
got there and I thought Jeff Howell came my trivia show.
And I was like, and I realized very quickly, I'm like, oh,
this is this is the guy that I call not Jeff,
I think his name is Richard, but he's a good guy.
(35:09):
And Linda's like, I had a couple of friends there,
and she's like, well, can you do it for two people?
Speaker 3 (35:14):
And I'm like, lind, I drove all the way out here.
Speaker 5 (35:17):
This is happening either way, whether it's like someone or.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
No one or whatever. Because the thing we didn't realize I got.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
To play trivia with you. Yeah, we're doing.
Speaker 5 (35:27):
The thing we didn't realize was like New Samerna was
like it was weird. I'm like, where is all of
New Samurrna? Even as I'm driving in, there was nobody there.
The boat parade they have a big Christmas boat parade.
Speaker 4 (35:40):
That was going on in a lot of places around town.
Speaker 1 (35:42):
For people that love boat parades, they draw a lot
of folks.
Speaker 5 (35:46):
Yeah, that thing is a huge festival in New Samerna.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (35:49):
And because so I'm setting up and I'm getting you know,
I'm getting ready to go, and I'm just watching all
these boats go by and I'm like, what is happening
and she goes, oh, yeah, the boat parades today, Oh okay.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
And so they put lights on the boats, so that
people are out at night watching the boats.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's probably.
Speaker 2 (36:09):
Hard to get him go play trivia when there's.
Speaker 5 (36:10):
It was like watching a parade go by as these
boats are like leaving the dock because it's only right
down the road.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
So well, you know, and we mentioned it a couple
of times. Yeah, but I mean it wasn't a full
on monster.
Speaker 5 (36:23):
So but but then after like that kind of dispersed,
people actually came, Oh good, I've never I've never had
an event where like no one was there, you know
what I mean. And I was just like, I have
failed at my job. I feel very bad. I'm taking
I'm taking the blame on me.
Speaker 2 (36:38):
You take it personal when I take it very.
Speaker 5 (36:40):
Personal, And what I want to do is apologize, like
to Linda immediately right there. But it ended up like
people came in and it ended up being a ton
of fun. But it was just like the rockiest start
to a situation that I had. But there's a guy, like,
there's a guy there who came to our summer show too.
He works as like a beer rep. And then he
gave me I don't know if I'm supposed to have these.
(37:01):
I don't know if I'm supposed to say this, but
like he works for a certain beer company and they
have beers that are available in other parts of the
country but not in Florida. And he's and he like
he's handing me a bag like he smuggled drugs. And
he's like he's like, here's this from this company. Don't
He's like, don't post it on social media, don't do
anything like that.
Speaker 3 (37:19):
But these you can't get these here.
Speaker 4 (37:21):
And I'm like, hell, ya, guy's a good guy. That
guy used to work in the building.
