Speaker 4 (04:27):
You ready to play a little trivia?
Speaker 9 (04:31):
All right?
Speaker 2 (04:34):
Your phone's a little wacky bling there. Yeah, okay, So so.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
They just they had this competition this year. It was
in the news a lot, but the fattest Bear competition.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
Did you see that?
Speaker 7 (04:45):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (04:46):
Where you know, all the bears were eating salmon, trying
to get ready for the for the winter, and they
had a bunch of bears and everybody was kind of
voting on which bear they thought was gonna win. The
winner is a bear called Chunk. Chunk got up to
eight hundred and fifty six. So you know, there's bears
in the news. Is a big news story. So along
with that, a particular website did a poll to say
(05:07):
who is the best Who's the best bear ever? What
bear character is the best bear ever? Who do you
think of Robert? Who do you think came in number
one for the best bear ever? In that bear week? Hey,
Yogi Bear came in third place. It is not Yoki
(05:29):
the bear. Who do you want to help you? You've
got Angel, You've got Ryan, and you've got Daisy del Toro.
Speaker 9 (05:37):
I'm gonna have to go with the trivia king of
all time, mister Bryan.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
Mister Ryan, mister Ryan. He thought he thought it was
Yogi beared.
Speaker 5 (05:46):
I can't believe it's not.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
Yeah, all right, So the best bear character of all time,
according to this recent poll after they had Fat Bear week.
Speaker 7 (05:55):
Yeah, best bear character of all time. I mean, Yogi
is the goat. I'm so surprised. So I got to
think of other bears you do, which is more difficult
than I thought, because I can only think of the
bear from the Revenant, and he's not a good bear.
That's the opposite of Yeah, that's that's the one thing
(06:17):
that the.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Bear from the Revenant did not come in the top twelve. Wow, okay, hmm.
Speaker 7 (06:24):
Bears bears beats Battlestar Galactor thinking this.
Speaker 6 (06:29):
I only know the Bimbo bear.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
You know what blight Bimbo has this big bear.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
It's a bad bear, bad bear.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
Like, that's a good one.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
If this took place, this show was, then.
Speaker 5 (06:47):
That would be the answer. For sure. Rest picks these things.
Speaker 3 (06:51):
And I have to remember that you're overthinking it.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
Am I overthinking it?
Speaker 3 (06:54):
Yeah? You're overthinking it. Clear your head, clear your head.
Speaker 8 (07:01):
Well he he what did he pick?
Speaker 4 (07:04):
He picked Yogi the Bear. Okay, which is a good bear.
But Yogi the Bear came in third. There's two bearers
more popular than Yogi the what about huh?
Speaker 2 (07:16):
What about?
Speaker 7 (07:16):
Like the one that's like a hero bear, because the
other ones I'm thinking is like Winnie the Pooh or
this guy, and this guy's a hero. He's shirtless though,
which is a weird thing. This is this is gonna
be a romance. He's out there, he's he's out there
fighting fires. He's telling you don't do it, baby, because
fire is important.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
What is his name? What is the hell is his name? Flamey? No? No,
Flamey the bear.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
That's a way different, different about that dude at the
parlorment house.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
The bear is a bear smoking the bear smoking the bear.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
Smoking the bear came in nice place, a man who
we got.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
Next, We're gonna go with Ryan and Port Orange.
Speaker 4 (08:03):
We had the official Smoky the Bear in the studio one.
It was like, there's one official Smoky the Bear that
goes around and you too can prevent forge fires. And
it hit the whole costume and everything. It was really cool.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
I was like, starstruck, Why did you give me a hit?
That's wrong?
Speaker 4 (08:19):
To swerve you because I'm a.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Bitch ass is a ass move. Because I'm a bitch ass.
In the history of this show, you've never given a hit.
That's the wrong answer. That is a bit as I'm
a monster bitch ass.
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Yeah alright, you got Ryan from port Orangs.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Hey Ryan, how you knowing? Buddy? All right?
Speaker 4 (08:41):
Name the best bear character of all time according to
this recent poll. They did this recent poll after the
brown Bear Chunk won for the Fattest Bear Championship.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
What do you think? What do you think is the
most popular bear character?
Speaker 5 (08:54):
Damn it?
Speaker 9 (08:55):
I just had it on the I do have a
dog for Lion, That's That's what I'm so excited about
that I and he's already set up with Darryl Paine.
Speaker 4 (09:12):
Oh, Winnie the Pooh is correct. Yes, the best bear
character of all time according to this recent poll from Ranker.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
I would have gotten it wrong.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
What what were you thinking?
Speaker 3 (09:25):
I was going with Paddington.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Was in fourth place? Yeah, where's Blue on this list?
Speaker 5 (09:31):
That's what I thought it would have been, because you
love Balloon.
Speaker 2 (09:33):
I'm the king of the swingers out into the top
and I had to stop. Who wasn't in the butter meat? You?
I love that bear scratches his back on the door
like Blue is the best bear ever. I should have won,
but got we got nudged out by winning, Like.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
I like Winnie Winnie the Pool is for sure the best.
Speaker 7 (09:55):
He's drunk with that word.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
He's drunk on honey. He gets stuck in. No, you
gotta love when Winny's door?
Speaker 7 (10:08):
Is that?
Speaker 5 (10:08):
Okay?
Speaker 7 (10:08):
First of all, he was funny out of that even
that cast of characters, he's not even the best one.
Tigger is the best one.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
If Winning the Pooh is a drunk, then Tigger is
strung out on cocaine without Yeah.
Speaker 6 (10:23):
That's all.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
We would rather hang out with coke drunk, and Or
is definitely on heroin.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
Yeah, okay, so parents turned the radio down. We're just
ruined winning the Poo for your kid's day.
Speaker 4 (10:37):
So Winnie the Pooh came in first, Blue from Jungle Book?
Speaker 2 (10:39):
Who is I used to love that Bear? Blue? Number two,
Yogi the Bear, number three, Paddington Bear, which is what
you said, right? And uh is in fourth?
Speaker 3 (10:50):
What about Kumu Panda is in fifth?
Speaker 2 (10:56):
Now we're going downhill here. Little John from robin Hood
he's awesome.
Speaker 3 (11:03):
He has a good song too.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
Okay, in seventh place.
Speaker 4 (11:06):
If Ryan Holmes were a bear boy, it's Ryan Holmes.
Speaker 6 (11:13):
What about the Micheline Bear.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
The Fat Bear?
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Yeah, no, no, no, he likes tires.
Speaker 4 (11:22):
Angel, take a guess if Ryan Holmes were a bear four.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Shore, he would be Honey Bear Fozzy the Bear.
Speaker 4 (11:32):
You know the Muppet tells jokes, really bad jokes, and
they walk. You need to say walk a walk after
all your jokes, Ryan Walker, Yeah, try it to tell
a joke and say walk a walker.
Speaker 5 (11:46):
No, I'm not gonna play with you.
Speaker 4 (11:48):
It's just like when you make you make a poor
old Uh Ambernova say boom broom.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
But she needs she needs help.
Speaker 4 (11:55):
Okay, Uh, let's see boo boo boo boo the bear
boo boo is Yogi's Jo's.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
Little little friend. Uh, smokey the bear.
Speaker 4 (12:05):
We already said the the Uh is it Berenstein the
Berenstein Bears.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
Oh wow, yeah, I forgot them. I would have I
wouldn't have been in my time.
Speaker 4 (12:16):

Speaker 2 (12:17):
There you go. So there's all your bears. Ryan. Congratulations, buddy,
you got it right.
Speaker 4 (12:21):
We're gonna put you on hold, get the noise, and
you can tell us about that dog you have for Ryan.
Speaker 9 (12:25):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (12:25):
When we come back, don't go anywhere. You guys are

I just got text from Jack Bradshaw, and we did.
(12:46):

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Your microphone on.
Speaker 6 (13:18):
Down the party. I think that's gonna be a lot
of fun.
Speaker 2 (13:21):
You're always down to party.
Speaker 9 (13:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
We always drink tequila on the buses.
Speaker 6 (13:25):
We drink tequila. We drink whatever people bring.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Really the last time, I just remember at some point
I was like, what am I drinking?
Speaker 9 (13:31):
Now?
Speaker 2 (13:32):
What is it?
Speaker 4 (13:32):
We don't even know? Yeah, people share like moonshine, something
made it.
Speaker 6 (13:36):
There was a shine.
Speaker 3 (13:37):
Yeah, it's like a tailgate party. So you you know,
you know, we get uh, we pre party here as
we're loading on the buses and that's why. Like the
first top is the furthest one away, so yeah, you know,
kind of loosen up. But we could play some music
on the buses and everything and by the.
Speaker 5 (13:50):
Game camera and do floor shots by the end of it.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
That hasn't happened in a few buses.
Speaker 4 (13:54):
Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm looking forward to It'd be

along with Angel and Ryan and Daisy del Toro here
today and on the light. Okay, this gentleman's name is Kirk,
like Captain James T.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
Kirk. It's not right. He wanted to talk about Ryan.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
He wanted to talk about him and talk to Ryan Kirk.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
How long you been listening to the show, buddy.
Speaker 9 (14:19):
Man, I've been listening forever since you were in the
afternoons midday.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (14:26):
Yeah, And I love Savannah. When she was on at
nine in the morning, I would make sure that I
was in my truck and listening when she was calling
from California. Oh really, Oh it was great, man. I
had to listen to her every day.
Speaker 4 (14:42):
I was gonna text her yesterday and when are you
coming in? But I know that she's dealing with her
I she still her eye situation, so, uh, she's been ill.
But I'll probably text her today and find out that
you can come in tomorrow.
Speaker 9 (14:55):
But yeah, I had a dog from Ryan.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
Ryan.
Speaker 9 (15:00):
I saved this dog a couple of months ago. I
had no intentions of keeping it. We've had Darryl Payne
out to the house and Penny. The dogs. You know,
had some problems, but we've worked through it and h
he's a great dog right now.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Problems. What kind of problems did he have?
Speaker 9 (15:21):
He he had a lot of anxiety, like he was abused.
You could you couldn't at first, you couldn't pet him
and he put his head down. He's a lovable chocolate lab.
He just turned to we. We had Daryl Payne and
Penny out to the house. We're set up to go
(15:42):
to something in a Veto on a Saturday, I guess,
but it just turned too. It's a great dog.
Speaker 4 (15:50):
He needs love, Ryan. He's a dog that needs love,
has anxiety like you. You should you should be you know,
your heart.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
To be open for art is open.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (15:59):
He says me, if I like Facebook or Instagram or something,
and then.
Speaker 7 (16:03):
I'll take a look exactly like dogs that have been
abused are so like.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
So it's so sad.
Speaker 7 (16:09):
My grandma had one that she rescued and it was
like a little poodle and you'd go to pet it
and it.
Speaker 5 (16:14):
Would like like shy away from you every time for
like years and years.
Speaker 7 (16:18):
And my grandma after loving this thing for so long,
if it turned turned into such an amazing dog, but it.
Speaker 5 (16:24):
Took it tooks time. Yeah, so how did you come
into having this dog?
Speaker 9 (16:31):
Well, I had an older dogs that passed away and
it was like a week later, this dog kept showing
up at my front door. Oh really bring them Yeah,
I'd bring it back to the people. And the third
time I talked to the people on the camera and
they were gone, like for the weekend. They just left
the dog in the backyard. Oh and he was dehydrated overheated.
(16:54):
So I didn't give him back to him. I said, look,
I'll take care of the dog, and they gave him
to me.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
Oh that's sweet of you. Well, I have have a doction.
Speaker 9 (17:03):
So the dog the chuckle lab doesn't realize that the
docs is so small and he gets trampled. So that
that's the one reason we need to find him a
home is because the docs is gonna get hurt.
Speaker 4 (17:19):
Well, send sind Ryan a picture of the dog. What's
your email address?
Speaker 5 (17:24):
Ryan FM?
Speaker 9 (17:28):
Ryan at Real Radio. I will have my wife do that.
Pick Uh. We were actually at that event Saturday, but
we we didn't walk the dog into the other dogs.
We went around, we.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
Didn't go you're at the POWs and pines.
Speaker 9 (17:47):
Yeah, we went around, but we didn't go up to
the event with the dog because he just he gets
a little excited around other dogs. And we're working through that.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
Good.
Speaker 9 (17:58):
But he's good one on one. I mean they lay
together my my docs and and the jocolate lab and Kurt.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
What do you do for a living, buddy?
Speaker 9 (18:08):
I drive a tractor trailer. So I listened to Real
Radio from six in the morning and if Common Dan's on,
I better be headed home.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
All right, Well, that's good, buddy, We appreciate that. Thank
you very much. And then what would you like to
plug and promote and tell us about.
Speaker 9 (18:23):
I'd like to plug and promote the Robert Preston Tish
Brain Tumor Center. It's located at Duke University in Durham,
North Carolina.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
Why that.
Speaker 9 (18:37):
I had a daughter that had a glioblast filma, and
I believe they prolonged her life and for another four years.
But you know they've they've made such great strides and
conquering brain tumors and they go above and and beyond.
(18:59):
And they also have a charity walk in April. It's
Angels among Us and we participate and raise money to that,
and the money that they raise actually goes to like patience.
You know, insurance doesn't cover certain things, so if you
(19:21):
need something, you can actually get resources to help you.
Speaker 2 (19:26):
Okay.
Speaker 9 (19:27):
It also shared on some of the research. But it
is a great place for us.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
So they helped you out tremendously.
Speaker 9 (19:34):
They did very good.
Speaker 4 (19:36):
All right, buddy, Well listen, we're gonna put you on
hold and you got everything we all the information we
need and then just send pictures of that puppy.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
To UH to Ryan and UH he'll get back with you.
Speaker 9 (19:45):
Okay, Okay, Ryan, I did. That's a good U.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
Hi buddy, all right?
Speaker 7 (19:51):
Thanks?
Speaker 4 (19:52):
So you you didn't when when he told you the
dog I've been abusing for You're like you're thinking you
don't want to have to deal with that.
Speaker 7 (19:58):
No. I was thinking, like, uh, I don't want to
have to say no to a dog that's been abused
if I know their backstore. The thing is that, like
dogs are such a vibe, Like that's how I got
my puppy. There was five, four or five puppies there.
I did vibe with four of them, you know what
I mean. And the cody that I got. There's just
something there. It's like when you're that it's intangible. So
(20:21):
I'm not I'm not against it.
Speaker 5 (20:23):
I don't want you got to meet you to meet
the dog.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Yeah, you know what that is. That's a very respectable
way to look.
Speaker 5 (20:29):
At it, I know, but I know how I am,
and I'll probably just take the dog.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
Sot tough and in the moment you got you all right.
Speaker 5 (20:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (20:40):
There used to be in a place it wasn't called
like puppies for us, and there was a lot more puppy.
Speaker 2 (20:44):
Mills around where I used to live.
Speaker 7 (20:45):
I don't know if they've all been shut down or whatever,
but there there was a it was called like just
puppies or something, and me and uh my girlfriend at
the time would just go there and hang out for
like a while, but there were so many puppies. Like
I would go there sometimes and I'm like, none, I
like these dogs. They're great dogs. Couldn't vibe with them.
And then a couple of times I was like, oh,
(21:06):
this is the dog, and then somebody snatched the dog
out from under me. You know, so it's hard getting
your hopes up for a dog. I'm really lucky I
got my dog, but there was a window where it
might not have happened.
Speaker 5 (21:17):
It would have been very upseting, right, and then the daisy.
Speaker 4 (21:20):
You were thinking about getting a dog again at one point.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
I did, but I ended up getting a cat because
kind of the same thing happens to me with cats, right,
Like my first cat, a friend of mine found it
under a bridge, abandoned and it was tiny, so you
still had to like feed it milk in order for
it to survive.
Speaker 6 (21:37):
And it was super super tiny, and I did it.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
So I took it in because I felt bad, kind
of thing like, oh my goodness, I'm like feeding at
milk every day. Now it's a huge cat. I've had
it for eleven years. And then the same thing happened again.
Now with this new cat, I was gonna get a dog.
But then this new cat. I went to Georgia and
it was under a truck and somebody drove this truck
for like an hour or so, and when they arrived,
(22:02):
the poor little kitty dropped of exhaustion on the floor.
And it looked though skinny and messed up because you know,
it didn't need milk anymore. It's a little bigger, but
super skinny and full of.
Speaker 6 (22:13):
Like fleas and stuff.
Speaker 1 (22:14):
And I thought, oh man, here comes number two. And
then I brought it back from Georgia and I've been
taking care of it and it scratched me all up,
like it's super super active. But my first cat never
scratched me once. She was super sweet, never did any
of that. This one, as soon as you go to
play with it, Look at this my.
Speaker 6 (22:37):
Scratching.
Speaker 7 (22:37):
My mom has a cat that she is in an
abusive relationship, and like this is a big fat cat
that's I'll see my mom and she'll scratches up and
down her arms and I'm like, mom, what is going on.
She's like, the cat did it again. But I just
love them, and I'm like, that cat does.
Speaker 5 (22:51):
Not love you.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
You know what I saw yesterday? Kitty and I didn't you.
Speaker 4 (22:54):
Know, the stereotype is dogs.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
And cats hate each other. Right.
Speaker 4 (22:57):
I love so when I whenever I take the boat
for a drive, there's a little canal that we go down.
And we go down this canal, you get to see
all these people's backyards and there's this one backyard where
there's no fence there. But the dog's not gonna jump
in the canal. Uh, It's got you a fence on
each side, but the whole thing is open. And they've
got a pit bull and it and it barks and
barks and barks, and it looks mean and it's got
(23:19):
that those pit bull jows and everything. And then this
week I noticed I went by and there were four
cats in the backyard and no pit bull And I'm like, oh,
they must have got rid of the pit bull.
Speaker 2 (23:29):
And they got the cats.
Speaker 4 (23:30):
So that yesterday on the way back after my little
my early Bird special, the pit bull was sitting there
with the four cats and they were all playing with
each other, and I'm like, look at the pit bull
just playing with those cats like they're all buddies and friends.
Like Like, I'm like, I would be worried that the
pit bull will just want.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
To tear up a cat. But they were playing with
each other like it was no big deal.
Speaker 6 (23:50):
That is crazy dogs and cats.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
They plays.
Speaker 6 (23:55):
They usually don't like cats at all.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
It's all a matter of yeah, I promise, it's just
a matter of how the owner is, the ownership and
the way that they are with it. And if you
go on social media and you put in pit bulls
and cats, you're gonna see millions of owners across the
country who have their pipples and their cats and they
play it and they and let's say, let's say play
along or co exists together. Right, but they were.
Speaker 2 (24:18):
Like they were like wrestling a little bit, playing.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
Like so think of what so think about that? Right,
you saw that dog and because that dog's and again
rightfully wrongfully so whatever, but the perception or the reputation
that that dog has, right, and we're all humans, we're
gonna be like, no, damn that he's ferocious and everything.
And a couple of days later you see it rolling
around with a couple of cats.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
Totally different. I'm like, oh, it's a sweet dog like.
Speaker 3 (24:46):
And that's credit credit to the owners.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
None of this happens with humans too, because the only
reson reason pit Bull was never at the halftime show
is because he's too aggressive. But now but Bunny, on
the other hand, is such cute name. How Bad Bunny
gets to do it.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Oh that's the boy that's gonna be such a mess.
I want to say, a mess.
Speaker 4 (25:07):
I mean, just such argument because now Bad Bunny has
said that this will be the very first time the
entire halftime will be in Spanish.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
And boy, the people he said that or.
Speaker 6 (25:18):
Yeah he said first.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
Yeah, I'm saying I was like, okay, if you didn't
know that, then that's kind of on you. His whole
all his whole discography has been in Spanish.
Speaker 6 (25:31):
I know, I love but you know, and you know,
he's one of my favorite artists.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
I know he is.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
And he's gonna be a hosting Saturday Night Life.
Speaker 4 (25:37):
I like that. And I think a lot of people feel, hey,
the super Bowl halftime show is are god given right.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
It's not.
Speaker 4 (25:45):
It's an entertainment thing and and you know, but there
are some people that are so mad. You mean, you're
gonna make me And and look, if there's ever a
time for counter programming, you know, somebody could put something
else on and probably do very well, because a lot
of people don't want to watch it because it's all
going to be in Spanish.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
Now.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
To be honest with you, I like that, bunny, But
if Kiss said they were going to be performing for
the halftime show, but they're doing it all in Yiddish,
I wouldn't want to watch that either, right, Like, because
I don't know what the hell you're saying, so I
can understand some people like I don't. I'm not going
to understand a word that he's saying. But I mean,
I don't hate the guy. I think he's funny, I
like him and all that, But for the halftime show
of the super Bowl, it's just going to be another
(26:25):
thing that's going to be divisive with people.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
The only reason it's happening is because the NFL themselves
want to reach outside the United States.
Speaker 6 (26:33):
Correct, That's the only reason they did this move.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
Because I was like, there's no way they would have
done it like twenty years ago.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
But did you see now they're saying the ice is
going to be there too too.
Speaker 6 (26:44):
The feeling to.
Speaker 4 (26:45):
Deport anybody that that's so bad that sucks man.
Speaker 6 (26:49):
And the thing is that's why he didn't even do
a US tour.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
I don't know if you know this, right, But that's
the only reason he didn't because he didn't want all
these people.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
To get the only reason, Daisy though, because another huge
part of it was again because he loves Puerto Rico
so much and loves the island so much. And the
economic impact that he did he had on the island.
That was another huge reason why why he did that,
That his tour brought more him his residency in Puerto
Rico brought more money into the island than anything has
(27:21):
in the last decade.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
Wow, you know, And it's just it's sort of once
again one of these things where and I don't want
to be part of the problem, right, but.
Speaker 6 (27:28):
But but I get it.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
It would be like in Mexico, if it's one of
our main soccer events, let's say, like the Gold Cup,
because that's one of our main ones, and then you
have Taylor Swift play in the middle of it.
Speaker 6 (27:42):
Say that would be so it kind of makes sense.
Speaker 2 (27:45):
What it's gonna say, Daisy, is this.
Speaker 4 (27:47):
It's like, it's it's okay for me to go ahead, listen,
Okay that that music doesn't connect with me, But I'm
not I don't hate bad money I'm not mad at
the world for it. You don't have to be hateful
about it. There are people being I saw, I saw
he's a good Okay, so you don't you don't understand Spanish,
that's fine. It's the Super Bowl halftime show. It's not
our god given right to have something that we like,
(28:07):
right and so, so just do something else at that time,
don't but don't spread the hate about it, you know, horrible.
Speaker 6 (28:13):
I was looking online. I was like, Wow, how does
this guy stay strong? Like some of the jokes are.
Speaker 4 (28:18):
Gonna get between now next February, it's gonna be worse
because now the government's involved and say they're gonna arrest
people at ice.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
I saw that even the government people are like against it,
and I thought, oh man, that was the only reason
he didn't do the Residency show.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
Do you think it'll be brought up on Saturday Night
Live this Saturday Night?
Speaker 3 (28:38):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (28:38):
I'm sure?
Speaker 4 (28:39):
Oh yeah, Angel, Yeah, it's back this week. Bad Bunny
is your your host?
Speaker 9 (28:45):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Do you think he'll bring up the controversy or not?
Speaker 3 (28:48):
He's gonna keep it.
Speaker 6 (28:49):
The worst part is he's a US citizen like ya.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
I've had again, I've lived with this, it's and it's
the thing, right, so people, you know, it's something to
be on Spanish and everything is like, hey, we're Americans
right like where we're in Commonwealth. So you hate this
so much, but you don't hate what the government does
to Puerto Rico. You know what I'm saying, Like there's
a there's levels to this, and and so that it's
(29:13):
it gets lost. It just gets lost in the nuance.
Speaker 4 (29:18):
Why do people take the super Bowl halftime show?
Speaker 5 (29:21):
Because for them?
Speaker 2 (29:23):
Dude?
Speaker 3 (29:23):
Because I mean Ryan, you like you said it the
other day, you felt that it should only be Americans
performing America or Americans.
Speaker 7 (29:29):
But I agree with still but me, he's an American,
so he falls under it.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
But but but doing the whole thing in Spanish, I
do understand why that's going to put people off. It
is because rush rush.
Speaker 3 (29:41):
But here's the thing, right, he doesn't sell the volume
of albums that he sells in English. No, no, no,
and non speak non speaking Spanish. People buy those albums.
He doesn't he doesn't achieve. Yeah, he doesn't achieve those
records here even here in America. And if you and
if you take a second and you go and you
change your algorithm, and you look again, all the positive
(30:01):
people that, all the people that are digging this right,
there are people that and they're posting their videos. Hey listen,
I don't know Spanish, but I know how to sing
this song. Yeah, and they know all the words to
a song. I don't know what he's saying, but I
know this song and I'm dancing this song and this
is awesome.
Speaker 5 (30:16):
But I like it.
Speaker 7 (30:17):
I mean, it happens every now and then we're like
a an artist that like there's no English to it
breaks through.
Speaker 5 (30:23):
It happened with Nina's ninety nine Red Balloons. And when
I was growing up, I'll.
Speaker 7 (30:27):
Speak a word of German, but I could sing du
Hostmitch from Robstein.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
Listen, I actually had this was a topic. We're blowing now.
Speaker 4 (30:36):
So well, we're going to continue this to come back
because I wanted to talk about our topic. But that
lucky son of a it's weird because like I, well,
when I see him in movies and on Saturday Lives,
I do like him. I know, I excited to watch
a halftime show that's all in Spanish. I mean no,
because I don't speak Spanish, but maybe, but I'll watch it.
Speaker 2 (30:58):
Just like I watched last.
Speaker 6 (30:59):
Year, I watched latinas. I can tell you that.
Speaker 2 (31:01):
I watched Kenn Lamar last year.
Speaker 1 (31:03):
I didn't really care for you know, he didn't you know, Okay,
I have something to say about that.
Speaker 4 (31:08):
Let's take a break. We'll say it later. All right,
you're listening to the match in the morning.
Speaker 10 (31:11):
Real Obviously this is a very popular topic because the
people are texting it and you can text us at
seven seven zero three one that seven seven.
Speaker 4 (31:23):
Zero three one. Several things were texting in that made
me think differently, which is nice. A couple thoughts about
this talking about the super Bowl halftime show. Uh bad Bunny, who,
by the way, is going to be on Saturday Night Life.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
I like that.
Speaker 4 (31:36):
Bunny seems pool as l I'd like to remember since
that what the commercially did for.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
Corona La playa La playa like. It made me laugh.
It's funny.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
I also had one of the better, better celebrity runs
on in the w WE. That's why he was, I like,
insanely popular in that world.
Speaker 4 (31:52):
This is the this is the super Bowl superl halftime show,
you know so, and he says, this is the first
time it's all going to be done in Spanish, understand
Spanish SOMs like I'm not particularly excited that that is
the halftime show, but people.
Speaker 2 (32:05):
Break up really good points. A lot of times you.
Speaker 4 (32:08):
Don't know what you don't know what there's like Kendrick Lamar,
I didn't know a word he said last year, Like
I couldn't understand anything he said. And I realized the
other day, I don't know what Elton John is saying
when he sings. I watched a thing the other night
and I actually, for the first time, watched this concert
with Elton John with captions on. I'm like, oh my god,
I haven't known the words to that song my entire life.
(32:28):
You know, A tiny dancer I did not, like, you
don't understand, like he doesn't pronounce things very well, but.
Speaker 5 (32:35):
Hold me closer, tony dancer.
Speaker 2 (32:36):
Stuff like that. Yeah, there was stuff.
Speaker 4 (32:39):
So a lot of times you don't understand the words
that people are saying.
Speaker 5 (32:43):
For the banging.
Speaker 4 (32:45):
BTS, I kind of like BTS and I don't know
a word they're saying. So you don't have to know
the words to the songs to enjoy the performance.
Speaker 2 (32:53):
So I when I and when I said.
Speaker 4 (32:57):
When when I said, it's a perfect time for counter
programming that I mean. I didn't mean that for me.
I mean that for really hateful people that are so
mad that the whole thing is going to be in Spanish.
I'm gonna watch it so we can talk about it
and I might like it. I don't know, Uh, you know,
would I have picked some other people?
Speaker 2 (33:14):
Yes, probably because I no, No, they're not big enough people.
Speaker 4 (33:22):
I think Metallica because they are because they are from uh,
San Francisco, and I think that would have been a
really cool thing.
Speaker 5 (33:29):
Well lot of musical arts.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
But I'm wondering why Metallic Like just you know, randomly
thinking why was Metallica not the one.
Speaker 7 (33:39):
Though the Metallica never is gonna do something for free?
Why that is incorrect?
Speaker 4 (33:45):
They did an interview with Lars Mars he would love
to do it. It's because jay Z is picking the
talent and he didn't pick a metal band exactly what
it is.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
It's not because of that. It's it's a social and
reverence in the moment, right And what again, what bad
Bunny did in Puerto Rico and generated seven hundred billion
dollars seven hundred million dollars for the island and did
a thirty day residency there and then globally his music.
And because guy tried to get at me last time,
(34:15):
we brought this up. If we're talking about sales of
their last albums, Bad Bunny, sales and streams of his
last album were higher than Metallica's last album, seventy two Seasons.
And here's the point then, right, it's it's the flavor
of the moment, think about it time. The one thing
I will say with jay Z that every person that
they've put on since the Rock Nation in them have
(34:38):
been in Apple Music have been doing it, have been
the current person, the current it person, the current music
of the moment. If Metallica's seventy two Seasons album had
become globally dominant like some of their past albums and
you couldn't escape it, then there would have been an
argument there for them. If we follow the parameters of
(34:58):
what Apple Music and UH rock Nation have done since
they've been doing that, then you see, then it becomes
easier to understand why they didn't choose a band like Metallica.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
And that's a great argument for a worldwide fame.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
But we're talking about NFL fans and NFL fans not
know much about Again.
Speaker 3 (35:15):
That's that's a that's a that's a false argument.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
In this false argument.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
No, hear me out right, the super Bowl isn't for
the NFL fan. Regular NFL fans can't afford to go
to the super Bowl. The super Bowl is for the globe,
for the rest of the world. And we know that
that this because the NFL i' time about going to
the Bowl. We all watch it on television. It's it's
it's an.
Speaker 4 (35:34):
American sport of the probably the greatest American sport there.
Speaker 3 (35:38):
As you saw text message, you saw the text messages.
Plenty of people texted and saying, hey, we really recognize
now that the super Bowl isn't just for us.
Speaker 2 (35:46):
I don't know, but that's the super Bowl.
Speaker 6 (35:48):
NFL try is trying to.
Speaker 2 (35:50):
Go global, right I get that.
Speaker 3 (35:52):
Yeah, So that so that when they're programming this thing,
they're not just thinking about the United States of America.
Speaker 4 (35:58):
They're not trying to serving the NFL fans. They're wn't
there wasn't too. Yeah, so it's almost like, we don't
care what you guys want to see. We want to
get more people, so we're going to get an international star.
Speaker 2 (36:09):
That is uh, it is big enough to drag drag.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
This is how you get you know, this is how
the NFL hosts the game in Mexico City, this is
how the NFL hosts the game in Brazil, this is
how the NFL hosts games in Germany, in the UK.
Speaker 4 (36:23):
They're going, I just think that it's going to piss
off your basic NFL fans who are in.
Speaker 2 (36:31):
You know who are.
Speaker 6 (36:32):
In that you already did piss them off.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
Oh I know.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
I was like, wow, some of these people are just
I couldn't I couldn't believe it.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
Your normal Green Bay Packer fan is being the halftime show. Yeah,
yeah no.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
And then with Kendrick Lamar, the reason I was so
mad is because you know, historically African Americans are known
to have the best dance moves, like they're known for
dancing so amazing.
Speaker 6 (36:58):
And then for his halftime show, I was like, what
happened to his show?
Speaker 1 (37:02):
Like the dancers weren't really dancing anything cool. Their outfits
were not good. And that's what I think Bad Buddy
will be able to bring. That's really cool because his
shows are all out like he brings beautiful dancers, people
who can dance. So I think it'll make hispanics look
much more fun and better.
Speaker 2 (37:20):
What do you think about this?
Speaker 4 (37:21):
People say that NFL fans don't really care about the
halftime show.
Speaker 2 (37:25):
What the super Bowl is?
Speaker 7 (37:28):
Angel's right, the super bowls for like my wife who
never watches football and is now checking out the show
and like all this.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
Fortunately that it's become that RUSS is that the super
Bowl and now they don't care about the sport itself.
They're not catering to us. Let's say that you follow
this when game is secondary. Yeah, when it comes to
this particular game, this particular event, they're trying to grab
as many casualized as they can.
Speaker 4 (37:49):
And the report is they did ask Taylor Swift and
she turned it down.
Speaker 7 (37:52):
Well, that's because she wanted the rights to it. She
wanted to own the video rights too, Zach, Is.
Speaker 3 (37:58):
That confirmed or is that a rumor and speculation?
Speaker 2 (38:00):
I read it somewhere. I mean I don't know. I
mean yeah, because we don't know anything anymore. She's going
to show.
Speaker 1 (38:07):
Used a stage that they could not accommodate, and she said,
if I don't have this stage, I'm.
Speaker 2 (38:12):
Not gonna do.
Speaker 3 (38:12):
But these are all the speculation, all the things that
everyone's throwing out there. We'll see what happens, because apparently
Taylor is going to make a bunch of appearances on
the night talk shows, So we'll see what if it's
addressed there so.
Speaker 2 (38:24):
Always she to promote the new album.
Speaker 4 (38:28):
Well, I'm curious if that if that Bunny mentions anything
about all this controversy. But it was major news this
morning that they announced that, Hey, listen, we're going to
be at the super Bowl this Ice will be there
to arrest anybody.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
That Ice wouldn't do anything at that point because the
people going to the actual Super Bowl half like the
super Bowl game, I have a lot of money exactly,
and they're going to be mostly Americans.
Speaker 6 (38:56):
Is not going to be a whole bunch of illegal
people going there.
Speaker 2 (38:59):
You wouldn't think.
Speaker 6 (39:00):
No, they won't.
Speaker 3 (39:01):
Again, they can't afford I get That's what I'm saying.
They can't afford the ticket, the ticket for the.
Speaker 5 (39:05):
Super Bowl game.
Speaker 1 (39:06):
People can't afford me, No, it's going to afford hear
hold on fifteen thousand dollars to hear me.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
For a second.
Speaker 3 (39:14):
Hold on a second, right, The people that Ice is
going to be arresting would not be the people that
would go to the super Bowl because that ticket is insurmountable.
That people that go to the other the less Hispanic
people that go to these other games, You're right, and
those people tend to have all their affairs in order
and they could go to a game like this.
Speaker 4 (39:29):
So Angel I think I think they just made that
announcement just to show their disapproval of.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
The fact that to politicize it, Yeah, to make it.
Speaker 1 (39:37):
Politically, to hurt him specifically, because that was his biggest thing. Like,
I'm not going to do any shows in the US
while this is the environ you guys feel like.
Speaker 7 (39:47):
We're all just children and uh for divorced parents right now,
Like I are like our like Democrat mom is fighting
with their Republican dad and we're just in the middle
of it. Like you want to go to the game, Well,
guess what I'm sending a bunch of truth.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
Do you want health care too bad? Gotcha? Like it
just feels like.
Speaker 7 (40:04):
These two, like these two adults in the room are
fighting and we're just dealing with it.
Speaker 3 (40:08):
Or look at this and this, they make that announcement,
they make that Annice announcement with Ice right now, with
all of this, right and we're talking about this. Meanwhile,
we haven't talked about the government shutdown. I haven't talked
about all the other things that are going on. But
we can argue, and are you and argue.
Speaker 2 (40:22):
Because we all love the super Bowl.
Speaker 11 (40:25):
Or you love bad body it has to care about
because most people are like, well, Ice is going after
his Spanish people, but there's a division of Ice that
goes after white people, just vanilla Ice.
Speaker 4 (40:36):
Thank you. All right, we got to take a break
when we do monster sports. We still can talk about
this because I know people are all fired up about
super Bowl halftime show. It's not our God getting right,
by the way, It's just entertainment.
