like the ratings still matter. Now that's in December, but
we still we still are on whatever. It's like, I
feel like we're not really doing a show kind of thing.
I'm with you guys on that.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
We'll explain that in a second. What's up, guys.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
I'm Russ Rowland's host of the program and with the

I can't remember if Angelique's issues from it or not.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
That's not. The person that's coming in.

Speaker 5 (03:02):

Speaker 2 (03:05):
Coming in Okay. Yeah. And I have it on good
authority that.

Speaker 5 (03:09):
She's bringing good yeah, a healthy goods.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
No, no, no, no, she brings healthy goods.

Speaker 6 (03:17):
I have it on good authority that someone is assisting her, okay,
and that someone is making sure that we get hooked up.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
Okay, they smartened her up with these guys don't want
healthy bans.

Speaker 6 (03:29):
Yeah, well he this person is going out of his
way to share something really cool that is out there
on the side of town that he lives on. Okay,
he reached out and say, hey, let me help her out.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
I'm down with that. There there. That makes sure. So
we're here live today and tomorrow.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
Just so you know, some of the best best stuff
you've ever heard will be for the rest of the week.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
I mean, the best best stuff ever.

Speaker 5 (03:52):
What kind of pressure are you trying to do it now?
She's doing trying to raise the bar of expectations.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Wednesday is going to be fire. I'll tell you Wednesday's fire.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
There you go, Thursday, you're not gonna be listening to anyway.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Everyone should be.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Yes playing Alice's Restaurant and repeat.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Oh you know what I had.

Speaker 5 (04:08):
Someone asked me about that, about playing Alice's Restaurant or
getting Jeff how to come in and do it live,
and I'm like, I don't think we have a copy
of it.

Speaker 4 (04:14):
That one year he did alis.

Speaker 5 (04:18):
One year he did a version of Alice's Restaurant, but
he did it really quick, and I think he left
out a bunch. It's supposed to be like ten minutes
or fifteen minutes long, and he did it in like
four minutes or something.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
I'm like, that's not the whole song, Jeff.

Speaker 5 (04:31):
Because for those that don't know the song Alice's Restaurant,
typically on FM radio like rock radio, they would play
that song on on Thanksgiving Day because it's like a
fifteen minute war protest song. But it's based out of Thanksgiving, right,
It's like the whole thing happens on Thanksgiving and Alice's
Restaurant blah blah blah blah.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
And as a kid, I used to listen to it.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
I had no idea anyone else even knew the song existed.
And then when we talked about it Jeff Howe used
to make probably still does, know the entire thing, and
it's like a fifteen minute, twelve fifteen minute song. It's crazy.
And so we did it one year and I was
amazed that he knew every word of it. And then
another year we decided, hey, Jeff, you do the song,

(05:15):
and we're all gonna go.

Speaker 4 (05:17):
We're gonna leave you here with no producer, nothing.

Speaker 5 (05:20):
We're gonna go get in the car, run down and
go get some food and come back and see if.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
You're still doing the song.

Speaker 5 (05:26):
When he came back and we literally did that, there
was not any There was not a producer behind the
thing that, you know, to handle anything if he started
cursing or whatever. And uh, and we made it back
before he ended the song. And then another year we
had him do it and he did a really quick
version and I'm like, well, Jeff, it was like six minutes,
it's done.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
He's sayeh, I bet it quicker, and he left some
stuff out. Uh.

Speaker 5 (05:49):
So I don't think we have a big long version
of it. And I don't know if Jeff will come
in tomorrow or not, but I did think about that yesterday.
It's funny you say that did you know the song
before we started doing it?

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Yeah, it's Arlow Guthrie song. So you know music, I
expect you.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
I've only heard it on this show, That's what I thought.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
Yeah, a lot of people told me that they had
never heard of it. But you're right, Angel, and so
Arlow Guthrie song. It's a war pro Vietnam War protest song,
but it's funny as hell. Yes, I thought it was
when I was a kid. Uh but uh, yeah, I
don't know if we'll do. I could reach out to Jeff,
but I think we got a lot of stuff going
on tomorrow, don't we. Yes, yeah, we got a bunch
of guests, we got a buck show, we got a
pack show tomorrow, and then we get some time off

(06:27):
to sleep and do our thing. So did any of
you guys listen Friday Night to the Christmas The Christmas.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Show over a Magic one seven seven.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
I did not get to catch it, Unfortunately.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
You did not, you did, Angel?

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Well?

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Yeah, because I was I put it together.

Speaker 6 (06:43):
Yeah, I was putting it together and I wanted to
see how it sounded, and I was taking notes because
I have definite ideas for next year.

Speaker 5 (06:50):
Okay, all right, yeah, yeah, we did as well, and
we went to dinner and everything with my mom's birthday
this weekend.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Texting was what was funny?

Speaker 6 (06:58):
Uh, because I guess peopleknew that I was going to
you here, uh there, Texic blew up. People were texting here,
listening to the listening to us on magic.

Speaker 4 (07:06):
That's funny.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Yeah. I was like, Wow, that's a mind meld. What
was funny?

Speaker 5 (07:11):
What? Obviously you guys, You guys know I've been on
a radio for thirty three some other years. As we're
driving home from from dinner and it was about seven
o'clock or so, we turned it on and everybody in
the car was like so thrilled to hear, Oh, look
the world, what another radio station. I don't know why
it was such a big thrill, but it sounded really good.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Great job angel, It was good.

Speaker 5 (07:29):
It was good to hear everybody's uh, you know, everybody's
a little little bit or whatever.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
So you we did not use Ray Trendley's right.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
I didn't hear it. His was one of the last ones.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
Oh.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
I didn't know how I no things though, because I yeah,
because we were tuned in at the end.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
It was I missed the first five minutes.

Speaker 6 (07:46):
If I missed his, then that's that's on me because
I was counting on it because I he his song
was one of the songs that was actually in the log.

Speaker 4 (07:55):
Hmmm, I didn't I didn't look.

Speaker 5 (07:57):
I was drinking too. Sorry, Yeah, but I don't think
I heard her. I heard I heard the wine divas,
and that made me laugh a lot. I'll go back check.
That's a bummer. Yeah, I heard her. Detective Barber Barbs
was great. My mom laughed at that one. She thought
that was really funny because you know, the granch and everything, so,
uh yeah, man, it was really really cool to hear.

(08:17):
Angel did a good job of putting it all together.
It's what we were what were ideas about next year.

Speaker 6 (08:23):
I want to make sure we do at least if
we're going to do the skin we need because there's
uh it's like fifteen breaks basically that we're doing in
two hours, right. I thought we needed to do more
show like everybody, Yeah, you know, that's that was my
biggest takeaway was that there was not enough of whatever
days that we record. Yeah, and then I definitely let

(08:43):
uh the powers that be know that we definitely from
this point forward want ours to play in December.

Speaker 3 (08:50):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, they got to play it again. They should,
Well we could do another one.

Speaker 5 (08:55):
Oh my, well, I think, of course you didn't have
a chance of doing things, so you did the close.

Speaker 4 (08:59):
But my clothes didn't make it. But that's fine. I
mean I did.

Speaker 5 (09:02):
No, I didn't. I played after nine o'clock, I said,
and listen. Uh, I didn't hear it, but it's okay.
I didn't know, no big deal. But uh after nine o'clock.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Yeah, there was a there was one last break after nine.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
Oh I heard your clothes of it, but.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
No I was. I was good.

Speaker 6 (09:17):
The yours was the the yours should have played before I, uh,
the way that I was doing if I was doing
it correct, Yours were supposed to play before mine.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
I think.

Speaker 7 (09:25):
No, I didn't think Angel did what the Hell's angels
listening to Christmas version and cut us all.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
I didn't get to hear yours.

Speaker 5 (09:33):
Yeah right, people are texting and Red was Kenny g
his his play?

Speaker 2 (09:38):
He did he did play?

Speaker 7 (09:38):
Okay, all right, well we you know we dare you
call Angel a liar?

Speaker 6 (09:42):
I'm not calling. There was like yours. I was wow,
Like yours was the centerpiece. So I made it appoint
to make sure. That's why I came in. So Friday
I was back here at seven. Yeah, loaded.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Do nothing. Let me say I didn't hear it. Wow.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
We were all sitting.

Speaker 5 (09:58):
On my back porch listening to Magic one of seven seven,
listen to Christmas music, and then when the dancing Christmas
songs were all my mom and Mary Ellen were dancing.
I got a little video of the dancing and uh,
she had really uh the best birthday.

Speaker 2 (10:12):
Uh, you know, it was really nice.

Speaker 5 (10:15):
She came over Friday night, say, Friday night and Saturday night.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
So Friday night we listened.

Speaker 5 (10:21):
To Christmas music and on the back porch after a
great dinner at that the State restaurant in winter Haven.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
It was it was awesome. She loved it that we
did shots of cold Schlagger. No, no hold on, what's
that stuff called?

Speaker 5 (10:36):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (10:37):
What's that cinnamon?

Speaker 5 (10:38):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (10:38):
When firewall? I shouldn't even start it because now I'm
on one of remembers.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (10:44):
It was Kanyac, but a particular kind of kanyak.

Speaker 2 (10:50):
Is there one that starts with the sea?

Speaker 3 (10:52):
Yeah, Kanyac, It's Kanyak.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
But it was a different kind of kanyac.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
Kanyak uh it was anyway, it was strong.

Speaker 5 (10:59):
But after that time, oh, the love was flowing. Mary
Ellen was telling my mama how much she loved her.
Oh and I heard a new story I've never heard before.

Speaker 3 (11:09):
David celebrity, did your mother me?

Speaker 4 (11:11):
Now you want to hear?

Speaker 5 (11:13):
Okay, And once again, I think there has to be
a bit of truth and all these stories she tells,
but she forgets certain things or adds certain things in,
you know, throughout the years, to make them unbelievable.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
Like you know, there's no way for you, okay.

Speaker 6 (11:31):
To hold it on your mama that she's embellishing stories.
Oh my goodness, Russ Ray Rawlings.

Speaker 4 (11:38):
You make a good point. You make a very good point.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Angel.

Speaker 5 (11:41):
But so you heard this. She doubled down on the
Burt Reynolds Sally Field story.

Speaker 4 (11:46):
At the whole.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
Yeah, Gregory Peck slapped my ass.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
Oh it's even worse. It's worse. Fat you're in the set,
you're in the neighborhood, but not.

Speaker 5 (11:53):
Right there, Cabassier, That's what it was.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
Yeah, of course you hearing of Mary Owen ordered like there's.

Speaker 5 (12:03):
Four shots, like Cavassie, I'm like, I don't even know
what that is, and they brought it and that's like sipping, sipping.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
We didn't deserve it. So she doubled down.

Speaker 5 (12:12):
She doubled down on the story about her and my
dad picking up these two people walking down the dirt
road in West Virginia. It was Burt Rentolds and Sally
Field and when she.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
Was in high school.

Speaker 5 (12:22):
I'm like, mom, Sally Field was born in nineteen forty six.
There's no way that would happened. It's as impossible. They
didn't meet each other until nineteen seven. I don't care,
that's what happened. I know, me and your dad and
she was flirting with your daddy and I and I
was a bitch to her.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
I'm like, okay, mom.

Speaker 5 (12:37):
So then after some Cavasier, she said, well, I'll tell
you another story.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
I bet you don't know. I'm like what, mom, And
she said, well, on the set.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
Of Leave It to Beaver two, me and you daddy
went to take the car and guess who was working
on the set and working doing the woodworking on.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
The set, and it was Tom Selik.

Speaker 5 (12:57):
And I was like, Tom Sellick was working on the Yes,
he was.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
I know you don't believe me, but he was, and
you know what he tried to do. I said, what, mom?
He tried to kiss me in front of your daddy
and I told him no.

Speaker 5 (13:09):
I said, Tom Selleck tried to kiss you in front.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Of dad And you said yeah, because that would be cheating.
I didn't want him kissing me. And back then there
was lots of aids and I'm like, what the hell,
So let's not give mama anymore. Covasiates, let's all I say,
new segment story. She told that story and we all

(13:34):
started die laughing.

Speaker 5 (13:36):
My mom, Okay, Tom sell it doesn't work on the sets,
like he doesn't do.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
The he was that day. He has eight, No, she was.

Speaker 5 (13:45):
At that time, it was a scare. It was when
you know, nobody knew what age was.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
What year would that have been. This would have been.

Speaker 5 (13:55):
Twenty fourteen. Okay, well because the right that's what they
the car that was in.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
The they sold.

Speaker 5 (14:04):
Yeah, when we sold the T Bird that T Bird
was in, leave it to Beaver two so they would
take the car there. And so it was probably whenever
everything happened in the early nineties, like with the Magic
Johnson and everything that people were scared, it was around
that time and and so you know.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
She didn't get kid.

Speaker 6 (14:25):
Anybody that could be that was that could be plausible
that when Tom Selleck.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Was Tom Sellick was working on the set of Leave
It to.

Speaker 6 (14:32):
Beaver's not unheard of because like a decade or two
before that would have been Harrison Ford. He was, he
was a stage hamed building sets. Was he Yeah, damn,
someone said Tom Selick is gay. Nobody said he was gay.

Speaker 5 (14:45):
They said at that time, at a at that time,
they didn't know how age was transmitted for gay or
straight or whatever.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
I do remember that story.

Speaker 5 (14:54):
I remember Mom telling a story about someone wanted to
give her a kiss and she said, no, I didn't
know Tom Sellig. And I know Tom Selleck was working
on the set of Leaving to Beaver two.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
Now it could be you know.

Speaker 5 (15:07):
What we you know, we all said, it's your birthday, Mom,
whatever story you tell, we're gonna believe have me birthday.

Speaker 7 (15:14):
I mean, I'll take you about the time that I
gave Lee Marvin a little back door action on the
remake of Gilligan's aland.

Speaker 6 (15:20):
Too of all the things that look so the uh
A hepatatus aids epidemics started in the United States in
early nineteen eighty one and it went through the nineteen nineties,
And you're right, there was a lot of disinformation, a
lot of a lot that wasn't known, a lot of uh.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
That one boy had to leave school.

Speaker 6 (15:37):
Yeah, a lot of people were just straight up scared
care Yeah, you didn't know who was getting what and
that people thought it could happen just through touch. And
I mean there was all these crazy, crazy ideas.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
That's not the crazy part. Like I believe that because
I remember, I remember that Part's right? Then, how hard?

Speaker 6 (15:53):
That's not that hard to believe that Tom Sellick was
building stages.

Speaker 5 (15:56):
I believe in a Beaver two in Orlando, Florida were
trying to get into Hollywood.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
Oh, he was already he was already famous in nineteen
ninety What was he doing.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
He had already done magnum Pi.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
I didn't know what. I didn't know what magni pi. Yeah,
he'd already done magnum Pi.

Speaker 5 (16:14):
And by her story, he was working on the sets
out here in Orlando.

Speaker 2 (16:18):
Of leave it to Beaber too, which is the worst.

Speaker 3 (16:21):
He wouldn't leave my Beaber alone.

Speaker 5 (16:24):
I bet not be You're being disrespectful, that's not that's
not even nice.

Speaker 3 (16:28):
It's funny though.

Speaker 5 (16:31):
Anyway, the time that Anthony Quinn lick Mateaux, she told
more stories that we just leave, just let her talk,
and she was having fun, you know, and then in
her Marionne got very you know, because you know, wait a.

Speaker 6 (16:45):
Minute, no, no, no, no boys. Well all right, so
the series see I'm on I'm on team mom, all right.
The series ran Yeah, from December December eleventh of nineteen
eighty to May one, nineteen eighty eight.

Speaker 4 (16:59):
Okay, would have been eighty eight then, because it.

Speaker 6 (17:02):
Could have been eighty nine ninety. Yeah, he didn't have
a gig right after at Magnum p I.

Speaker 7 (17:08):
He wasn't working on he could have a say hot
to a friend.

Speaker 5 (17:11):
Okay, see to see if Tom Selleck does woodworking.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
I doubt.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
I'm sure he does. Magazine.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
I'm sure he does.

Speaker 5 (17:21):
And she kept saying, I know you don't believe me,
but it happened. I'm like, okay, Mom, is your birthday whatever?

Speaker 2 (17:26):
Whatever? Whatever you believe your mind.

Speaker 6 (17:28):
Yeah, because look after Magnum p I, he bounces around,
does a couple of other things here and there, but
he doesn't do anything else until.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Twenty ten. Well, he's in some show called Blue Blood.

Speaker 4 (17:42):
Yeah, yeah, that was a big deal.

Speaker 2 (17:43):
He did a couple, he.

Speaker 6 (17:44):
Did three minute a you know what he's he was
in Orlando. They were shooting three men in a baby
and it looks on one of the sets he might
have been working as a construction guy whatever, And maybe
that's what she got.

Speaker 5 (17:55):
Uh yeah, well that's what a lot of times she
gets things confused. But she's not telling a lie, like
he might have been there but not working on the set,
Like maybe maybe he was there, you know, just Tom
Selleck watching them film or.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Something like that. Nah, he was, he was hammering. I
was out one night.

Speaker 7 (18:11):
Larry Hagman trying to grab my boots, so I shot him.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
They wrote that show.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
All right, listen, it's Monday.

Speaker 5 (18:22):

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Okay.

Speaker 5 (20:00):
I know that if things are for me are not
in order or out of order or out of my.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
Normal way of doing things.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
I'm obsessed about them compulsively.

Speaker 5 (20:12):
I get a freak out about it, and I'm like,
oh my god, So let me tell you what happened
so Friday, if you remember correctly, after the show, I
had to go over to Carl Black Chevrolet, Buick and
GMC and UH and pick up my vehicle because they
had there was a repair that had to be done,
and they did it quickly because they've got fifty service base.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
Love those folks.

Speaker 6 (20:30):
UH.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
So I go there and actually, I'm like, I want
to look at it.

Speaker 5 (20:33):
I want to look at some other vehicles, and I
might want to trade in, you know, towards the end
of the year. Here, good time to do that at
Carl Black. So, you know, I take the vehicle they
let me use, you know, they like a loaner. I
park it up front and I get out and I
see I see the what's his name a Stefan. Stefan,
the guy that came in saying you know that, saying
with us, oh yeah, yeah, great, A great kid. And

(20:55):
he actually has an easy He said, you inspired me
to get busy. And he has an EP that's coming
out that he went in and recorded himself and he
used that he paid his you know, he paid his
own thing, and he's got an EP that's coming out.
But he was super nice and he thanked me for
getting the lighting the fire under his ass and getting
them you know, busy and singing and stuff and and
so he you know, he took me around and showed

(21:16):
me some vehicles and everything. I'm like, that's awesome, and
I'm gonna make sure you're your blazer is all cleaned up.
I'm like, oh, that's cool and and uh and so uh.
I looked around. I saw a truck I kind of liked,
and some other vehicles and then I'm like, okay, I'm
ready to go. So I go over and getting getting
my blazer. It looks great because they cleaned it all up.
Like drive all the way back to winter Haven, which

(21:37):
is you know, with the traffic and everything around that
time in about an hour to get home, and uh,
and I get out of my car like I always do,
and just a creature of habit which I am. I
go to reach into the back seat to get my
bag that's got all of my you know, live reads
in it, and it's got all of it's got my
pass to get into the building. And you know that

(21:57):
backpack I carry you the one uh guests who left
it in the car at Carl Black Chevrolet buck at
GMC an hour away. And I start to freak out
a little bit. I'm like, oh my god, Monday morning.
I need all that stuff. I need the copy. I
got to have my passing into the building. I got
to have my backpack. It's got everything in it. And

(22:18):
I started to get a little a little freaked out, right,
I started to get a little a little upset. And
then I had calmed down for a couple of seconds.
I realize, well, I can I can reprint. And I
sent Angels, you know, Angel my copy. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (22:31):
I didn't realize how bad you were spinning out of control.
I was like, wow when I was trying to convey
to you, and I can reprint all that.

Speaker 6 (22:39):
Yeah, And I don't think I did it effectively in
the text message, but I was like, on a Friday night,
this is not the thing you need to be worried about.

Speaker 5 (22:48):
Well, here's the thing. I knew my mom was going
to be there that weekend, and I didn't want to
drive back. I didn't want to ruin any time with
my mom driving back to Carl Black to get my bag.
And so when I got hold of stuff on much
the faun, I left the bag in the loaner car
and he's like, okay, let me go check because oh man,
they already cleaned up the loaner car and it's already
out to somebody else. And then I sat really freaked

(23:09):
out and he's like, I'll get it for you.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
Don't worry. Don't worry. Uh and and uh and I said, well, look,
i'll pay.

Speaker 5 (23:15):
Extra to have somebody run it out to me if
you would, And he couldn't find anybody that want to
go an hour away.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Uh, so so I'll get it Monday. And then I
just calmed down.

Speaker 5 (23:24):
I'm like, okay, if Angel can make sure we print
all the copy, I know how to get in the building. Uh,
and I can I can get the other stuff so
I just calmed down and relaxed and didn't let it
freak me out. But it took a little while talking
to myself to taught myself down.

Speaker 3 (23:39):
How many text back and forth was this room with
me A couple?

Speaker 2 (23:43):
It was, Yeah, it was like three or three a couple.
I was just like, hey, man, you.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
Get a thumbs up? Or did you get in no
trouble mister bubble.

Speaker 5 (23:52):
No, no, no.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
I didn't realize until him telling it now how frantic
he was.

Speaker 5 (23:56):
I was like, I was really worried about it. I
thought I won't be able to get in the bill.
I won't have my copy. I'm not gonna read it right,
I don't remember all that copy you know.

Speaker 4 (24:04):
No, no, no, my bad.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
It's one, two, three, four, five text messages.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
Yeah, that's a lot.

Speaker 5 (24:12):
So no.

Speaker 6 (24:13):
And then the first text message, uh, it's like angel,
I have a bit of a problem. And then he proceeds, uh,
you know, he tells the whole story that he just
told left backpackice that whatever, like this is right.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
That's top big.

Speaker 6 (24:24):
His texts wow, and then my responsess, we are good
at this moment. You don't have any outstanding PPOs or
like we're fine. And then your response is I found
i DC, I got zero rest I got and I'm like, oh, okay,
I think I'm good.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Sorry to bother you. I'm like, we're all good. Man. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (24:44):
I was coming through all my old emails and finding
the copy to try to make sure I had it
because I was freaking out and thinking, but I didn't
want to take any time away from my mom this weekend, right,
and then because they stayed Friday night Saturday night, didn't
leave till Sunday till about like one or so. And
then after that I wanted some time alone with Mary Ellen,
and so I didn't want to have to drive back
and and that that would have been a tough pill

(25:06):
to swallow.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
There, Yeah, got me twit hours out of a day
that you're.

Speaker 5 (25:10):
Just sitting in the car. I only got so much weekend,
you know, and I like to unless you would have
gotten them to go for the ride with you. I
got my mom to go on the boat and and
and I never thought she would because once again I've
mentioned this, she goes to get her hair done at
the at the beauty parlor once a week, and she
had just gotten done at the beauty parlor like Friday,

(25:33):
and she had said, I don't know if I want
to get my hair messed up on you know, but
she's she's like, you know what, I'll go on the
boat with you. And so we took her on the
boat on Saturday. We went up the Old Man Frank's
and and she actually really loved it. I got to
show her like these planes landing, you know by that
one lake, and and I tried to go slower so
it wouldn't mess her hair up so much. But it

(25:55):
was really nice to be able to get her to
go and uh and check it all out and everything.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
So that that was really good.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
Well that's nice little weekend.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 4 (26:02):
It was. It meant, it meant, It meant a lot
to my mom.

Speaker 5 (26:06):
And then I didn't realize I kind of realized, I
guess a little bit, but how much it meant to
mary Ellen because she told my mom several times, Hey,
you know my parents passed because both mary Ellen's parents
died during COVID, like that that whole first part of COVID. No, no, no,
they both they both got COVID and passed away. And
it's like within two or three months when everyone when

(26:26):
a lot of people were dying of COVID, and so
mary Ellen looks at my mom kind of like as
her mom now, you know, And she told her that
several times and they always loved this, which was so nice.
It's nice when your wife or your spouse or your
girlfriend or whatever it gets along with your parents, because
I've had it the other way, you know, I've had

(26:47):
it where they didn't like you know, you know, and
uh and uh, it's nice when when your when your
mom and your and your wife, uh, you know, love
each other so much.

Speaker 2 (26:56):
And they were dancing and having a ball.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
And we sat around the campfire on Saturday night, which
was super super nice with the crescent moon, and you know,
it was it was it was.

Speaker 6 (27:06):
It was a cool little clip of you on the
boat with your mom, Yeah, that was that was You
could tell she was having a good time.

Speaker 5 (27:11):
She was h yeah, yeah, and then sitting by the
fires nice. And so it's just a great weekend. Other
than me freaking out about my my backfight and then
me coming in this morning with my back, I felt
I felt like Nate. But I've got I've gotten the
copy I think I needed and if there's anything else,
I'll just try to wing it whatever.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
It's Monday.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
Up, now up, They're all gonna laugh at you.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
No, I think I'll be good.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
I guess we'll find out.

Speaker 5 (27:36):
This does happen to you guys, didn't happen to you guys.
If something is out of order and not like it
normally is, it doesn't freak you out.

Speaker 3 (27:42):
My whole life is out of order. Rush, I'm going
to freak out.

Speaker 7 (27:47):
You live, Yeah, I live out of order. It's weird
when things are in order. It's actually makes me very
uncomfortable when I come home to a clean hound.

Speaker 4 (27:53):
Oh my god.

Speaker 5 (27:53):
I gotta have things in order. That my stuff's got
to be where it's supposed to be. And if my
keys aren't in the right spot, I'm have a meltdown,
like you know. But mary Ellen is a lot the
same way, and that's been the key to you know,
be together for eight years.

Speaker 3 (28:08):
Yeah, you're crazy has to line up.

Speaker 7 (28:10):
Yes, that's I fully believe that, Like I have my
own version of crazy and my wife has her own
version of crazy too, But it just so happens our
versions of crazy line up line up like a puzzle piece.

Speaker 5 (28:21):
That's been a that was part of the problem with
some of the other folks I've been with, is they
all you know, I'm crazy. They're crazy and the crazies
didn't match up. They're not bad people, you know, It's
just that the crazies didn't match up.

Speaker 3 (28:31):
The crazies don't line up.

Speaker 5 (28:32):
Luckily, with Mary Ellen and I are crazies match up
pretty well. Uh and that uh and that helps quite
a bit. Oh. You know what she did, She had
me watch She really one of the things she wanted
to do. When everybody goes home, can we please watch
this movie? I watched a little bit that and it
was so funny, but I turn it off because I
want to watch it with you.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
Your girls ever do that?

Speaker 6 (28:51):
We're like, like, you know, yeah, I started watch programming together.

Speaker 5 (28:55):
We need to watch this together. And it was something
I never probably would have watched. It's the Roses with
the Benedict cumber Batch. Oh, it's a remake of War
of the Roses, Yes, with the radio bit ben basically,
but it was Bruce Willison, who I forget I was
getting originally dead. It was Bruce will and I never
watched that one. Yeah, but this one was benned At

(29:18):
cumber Batch and.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
Danny de Vito and uh, it was the original with
Michael Douglas.

Speaker 5 (29:25):
Yes, that was the original one. This one is Ben
at cumber Match. And then the woman that played the
queen in uh, I think the crown and not Olivia,
not typically what you would say would be a leading
lady kind of but she's really funny.

Speaker 4 (29:43):
I mean, it was really a funny movie. I've never
really heard.

Speaker 5 (29:46):
Much about it. Nobody said much about it. It's called
The Roses. Mary Allen and I watched it and laughter
ass off. Now for me, I have to watch it
with the with the captions because it's British quick, British humor,
and sometimes you can't understand exactly what they're saying it
was unless you're reading it, you know, But I don't
know it. It was really good.

Speaker 4 (30:04):
I think you guys would like it. Uh, it's funny.

Speaker 5 (30:08):
And it's also got Kate McKinnon, who's you know, from
Saturday Night Live, and she's really really funny in it.
So anyway, so that was our thing on Sunday is
just to watch that and hang out, and because we
had people over all weekend, it was good to have
a little time alone.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
I didn't watch any football though, Oh, dude, I didn't know.
I did very little sports.

Speaker 5 (30:27):
Oh, I want to catch up with you. You you
did a lot of cool stuff this weekend. You had
Saturday and Sunday, right, yeah, I was all over the place. Okay,
can you tell us about that when we come out
at all. Right, we'll find out what Angel did this weekend.
When we come back, don't go anywhere. You're listening to the.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
Maxters in the morning, Happy Monday.

Speaker 4 (30:50):
I'll be ready for great, great Thanksgiving week man.

Speaker 2 (30:55):
We just got today and tomorrow. That's sort of exciting.
Sleep in time. And when I keep weekend, it's we
it's almost weekend. Eve.

Speaker 5 (31:05):
Yeah, most of you don't have to listen to that
song this week look at look at the bright side,
right right side everything.

Speaker 2 (31:12):
Welcome back.

Speaker 4 (31:12):
I'm Roz Raylands along with Angel Rivera and Ryan Holmes.
And Angel had a very busy weekend.

Speaker 5 (31:18):
I saw some I saw some video and stuff from
uh from where you were out in Sanford. H Now,
how did first off, how did Friday night go? Because
I know you were here, Because just so you guys know, Angel,
being the producer, one of his responsibilities is to put
together all of our our best of stuff that we
have to do. So we're off on a week like this,
it's an extra lot of extra work for Angel. So

(31:39):
you were here Friday pretty pretty late, right, Uh well.

Speaker 6 (31:43):
Obviously because of doing what the hell's Angel listening to?
But the difference was I got here early to put
the just the final little bells and whistles on monsters
on Magic one of seven seven, Right, So I was
here like right as Jimmy and and them we're leaving now,
got to say, you know, what's up to them.

Speaker 5 (31:58):
So I have a lot to thank you from the
from the program director over at Magic, so super appreciated it.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
Yeah, yeah, so again, so that was a lot of fun.

Speaker 6 (32:07):
And then I was doing the show Friday night, and
uh after that Saturday, actually I went and uh took
the kiddo and we went and helped.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
Detective Barb with Uh oh that's right. I saw that.

Speaker 6 (32:20):
Yeah, so uh that yo, dude, that part of town again,
it's as beautiful now it's it's it's crazy to me.
It's absolutely crazy to me.

Speaker 5 (32:29):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (32:29):
So we're talking about the intersection of Obt and Princeton
and where the Publix is and where Foxtail Coffee. Uh,
basically saved that really really cool building that's a circular
building and made it into a coffee shop.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
Sort of near Fairvilla Megastore.

Speaker 6 (32:44):
Sort of really like you could if you've got a
good arm, you could probably hit it with the wrong right.

Speaker 5 (32:48):
And but my grandmother, Grandma Rawlins, not my nanny that
I that I became a Dolphins fan for, but my
Grandma Rawlins, my dad's mom, lived right across the railroad
tracks right there, like in that area, and so I
I've been familiar with that area my entire life. And
it was never it was always a nice real it
was industrial. It was never a nice part of town.
And now it's beautiful. Right, It's absolutely incredible what you

(33:10):
can do with some some investments, I guess, and some
developers and ye, you know, you take a part of
town and just give it a fancy name.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
And but again, uh, it's.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
It's it's it's considered college park still.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
Yeah, but it's now they're going by the packing district,
the packing district college Park. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (33:30):
And so some really cool businesses there again that we
got a really cool full food hall real close to there. Real, dude,
there was a like there's a rush I think it's
Rush Trucking, one of these outfits that just like all
they do is like uh develop or build these really
cool trucks, right and you can put anything on it.
It was just and I think they got a relationship

(33:51):
uh uh there with like the What attracted me to
it was that it had an old school Peter belt sign.
Yeah yeah, and so I was like, oh, you don't
see those that often know. So she's right there, she's
on that corner. If you're gonna get Christmas trees today Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
swing by there or call the crimeline number as she'll
make an appointment with you to uh to meet you there. Right,

(34:15):
So they did. When she called us, she called us
on Friday. They sold Friday Saturday, we sold a lot
of trees. Huge shout out to us to all like
we had a bunch of real radio listeners swing by.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
And say what's up and yeah, help her. That's absolutely yeah.

Speaker 6 (34:29):
But between hearing her talk about it before that, hearing
her on Friday, or the people seeing the video that
I put up, we had a handful of real radio
listeners that went by there and actually purchased trees and
shout out to all of y'all to do that. I
get all of this, uh these proceeds go to crime
line and uh so did that with her and I
ended up staying there. I took the kid home and

(34:52):
then came back and I ended up staying thereun till
like seven o'clock that night.

Speaker 5 (34:56):
So, well, what was your main responsibility? Was it just
to kind of stretch? Like what is it you were doing,
like putting the trees on the cars and strapping them
or what?

Speaker 6 (35:04):
Did a little bit of that, did a little bit
of sales, did a little bit of you know, pick
up and clean up and moving big trees around. There
was a couple of like eight footers that they needed
moved around and stuff.

Speaker 5 (35:15):
Were there any animals in any of the trees? I've
heard stories before like sometimes they'll get trees and they'll
be like, you know, squirrels or something any of.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
That, not that I could know.

Speaker 6 (35:24):
And if they, if they were, they might have met
their demise because the trees come down in a refrigerated truck.

Speaker 2 (35:29):
Oh okay, you know what I mean. So they're frozen,
not frozen.

Speaker 3 (35:33):
They're kept cool cool, you know.

Speaker 6 (35:35):
And she's I mean getting a fantastic real real great
selection the trees. So again it's there on the corner
of Obt and Princeton, and I did that till about
seven o'clock and then she's like, all right, let's close
this up because uh.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
I was barred? Was she grown?

Speaker 5 (35:49):
She?

Speaker 6 (35:49):
You know what, when she's doing that as much as
she could play the grips with us, she gets a
kick out of it.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
She does.

Speaker 6 (35:56):
She absolutely, absolutely gets a kick out of it. She's
got a great crew of people, all the Crimeline people
that were there, all her volunteers and everything, all the
guys that are there, they're all fantastic and it's a
fun time. Then she ended up closing shop early because
it started, you know, it started getting traffic and started
getting really busy because of Classic weekend, and so right,

(36:17):
you know, we're right there, and so so we you know,
we were like, okay, let's she close it up. And
then on Sunday, Saturday, that was Saturday. That was Saturdays.
And then Sunday went out to Kaylin and I went
out to uh what was it, Yeah, sof and SuDS
out in Sanford. And again it's one of the it's

(36:39):
one of genuinely a fun experience in the sense of
right there downtown Sanford in their cool little square and
they've set up this course and you've got people like Audi,
You've got people just toughies. Toughies ends up winning this year,
winning the Sofa Races, and I'm leaving teams out. There
was a one team that had built a straight up

(37:02):
Flintstones style uh sofa and everything, and everybody was in
costume and everything was fantastic. The Devi a brewing shout
out to them. They had a cool one. They were
all vampires.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
The day before was the was the beer fest that
they were talking about. Bad business Man.

Speaker 5 (37:17):
That was Daniel and Drunkie or Tom and dance thing
right now is the Sofa and such thing?

Speaker 4 (37:21):
Is that their thing too?

Speaker 6 (37:22):
Yeah, it's two days basically the takeover Stanford. So the
Bad Business goes down on Saturday, and then the Sofa
Races ends up being a really more like a huge
family event because there's a point of the of the
afternoon where like we do kids dance contest.

Speaker 2 (37:41):
Yeah. I saw all the little kids come out to
the business. That was really cool.

Speaker 6 (37:45):
Yeah yeah, So yeah, Caylo posted that one and so
they get they get a kick out of that.

Speaker 2 (37:51):
But the there was a huge, huge.

Speaker 6 (37:54):
Upset in the sense of that Audi uh uh fumbled
the bag and and made a huge critical error in
one of the semi final races, and so there was
you know, so there's that drama and everything and playing music.
So it ends up being a really fun afternoon out there,
you know.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
Great observation, as funny as time goes on.

Speaker 5 (38:12):
When they first started that, there's no way they would
have wanted a bunch of kids out there to do anything.
But as time gets it goes on and they've got kids,
and nobody gets a little bit older.

Speaker 4 (38:19):
You adding kids to the event to have danced.

Speaker 2 (38:22):
I think it's a good ballance. It's awesome.

Speaker 6 (38:24):
He said up that, so the adult parties act is
definitely Saturday, and that's you know, the super villains were
out there and uh, how they do They talked to
Dom he said, it was a fantastic show. West End
and Paul and all those guys. They put on a
great event. Mike, he's the one that he's the commissioner
for the Sofa races. He's been he's I mean, he's

(38:44):
the one that came up with the idea and has
been doing the thirteen years now.

Speaker 4 (38:48):
