Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
I don't know about you, guys. Rainy weekend for me
out in a winter haven. I did see, though I
forget who it was. Somebody. I saw someone that got
some kettle corn. So you must have did your kettle
coo business on Saturday morning.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
Uh yeah, I did. It was risky.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Man.

Speaker 6 (02:03):
It's one of those days where like, if if I
could see the radar, I know the rain's coming.

Speaker 5 (02:07):
That's good.

Speaker 6 (02:07):
That means Ryan gets a day off, right, there's days
where the radar this one was like, I don't know,
if you guys looked at it all week, spotty all over.

Speaker 7 (02:13):
There, it was like hurricane kind of thing. Yeah, it
was in the sense that I'm out of nowhere. You
would have a torrential downpour.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
For about three minutes exactly, they had a little sprinkle
sprinkle and the.

Speaker 6 (02:25):
Sun would come out. It would be beautiful day. Where
I was at Winning Park at the farmers Market. The
storms literally were to the north of me, to the
south of me. Never hit me, but I could see
them from where I was standing the whole time, and
so it ended up being a kind of a good
day for me.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
I just say, was it enough to run people off
from going to the farmers market?

Speaker 5 (02:42):
Though I did better than I thought it was gonna go.

Speaker 6 (02:44):
Oh good, Well that's so that was nice because I
got there to start a raining and I'm like, well,
if this it's gonna be one of those days and
ended up being kind of good. A bunch of Monster
fans came out. Always enjoy seeing the people and talking
to the people when they come out and see me
at the Widow Park Farmer's market.

Speaker 5 (02:58):
So good a good day around.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
As who was So he was getting married.

Speaker 7 (03:03):
He was at a facility there on Silver Star, right,
so on that side of town. The rain completely ruined
his his wedding right, so they had to move it indoors.
My daughter, it was her homecoming and uh so when
I went to go pick yeah, exactly. So when I
went to go pick her up, the storms, like you said, Ryan,
we're all around the uh you know, Longwood area, but

(03:26):
none were over like where their school is, so they
were able to They basically they kind of prepped for it.
So they had two DJs, one indoors, one outdoors. But
the rain never affected their their their get together.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
For her homecoming. Does she go to the homecoming dance? Yeah? Yeah,
yeah at date all.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
No she doesn't. Right now.

Speaker 7 (03:45):
It's her and her little circle of girlfriends and none
of them have you know, boyfriends, and none of them,
you know, they all black. They're interested in boys, but
like none of them have crossed that threshold.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
Yath Is Angel prepared for this no no.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
No, no, no no no, to come new I got
a guy to the dance. How would you?

Speaker 7 (04:04):
Yeah, I imagine it being much like the Martin Lawrence
will Smith scene from Bad Boys.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
I did you That's hilarious. Oh man, so homecoming already
I forgot it is that time.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Yeah, it's a time of year.

Speaker 7 (04:22):
So but again the compared to the what happened with
that particular school last year, for I think it was
prom Yeah, this was looks to be that it went
off on eventful, but but in a good way.

Speaker 6 (04:37):
The prom oh yeah, national news drinking in the parking lot,
or the guy.

Speaker 7 (04:44):
They had kids get taken in ambulances because they got
two hammers alcohol poison.

Speaker 4 (04:49):
Oh yeah, that was that was that was there school.

Speaker 7 (04:52):
Yeah, luckily that group of kids is gone.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Now, yeah, you're all at f S.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
I forced it.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
I forced it doing some boating this weekend because I'm like,
I'm going boating.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
I don't care if it's raining or not. We're gonna
go boating.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
And Friday I got it a little time in, but
for the rest of the weekend it's just you know,
it was so not just rainy, but also like the
the winds were bad for the you know, it was
like real uh.

Speaker 7 (05:15):
Yeah, I don't know if I mean, like, if you've
been watching this stuff, like all the surfers in Central Florida,
this has been It's great. This is probably one of
the best months that they've ever had in the sense
of with those two storms just sitting off the coast. Yeah,
and churning like that, but it's made for incredible waves.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
One of the things that did did happen though on Friday,
because I did get to go out Friday for a
little bit and uh uh and I've seen one before,
but this was just like, uh, you know, when you
ever what's the closest you've been to an American bald eagle?

Speaker 7 (05:44):
Because I got you go to the you can go
out to the trash dump sites and they're there all
over the place.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
Wow. Okay, well I didn't know that, but uh I
found out. You know, we're going around the lake or whatever,
and there was a damn and it was big. I
mean I got a picture of it, and it's pretty impressive.
And then I saw this eagle. You know what this
eagle did No, he did not wink, hevy. This eagle
was flying and grabbed another little bird as he was flying.

(06:13):
I didn't know eagles, eight other birds he just just grabbing.
I mean, I mean, there was, like, I don't know,
a flock of maybe fifteen birds, and the eagle huge
flies into the flock and just grabs a bird out
of the air and just takes it back to its America.
That's America. That's a d A bald eagle is impressive

(06:35):
as hell. I'm so glad we didn't use the turkey.
You know, they were going to use the turkey for
the national bird. That would have been you know, bad.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
Yeah, I mean, the bald.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Eagle's bad ass.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
But like we don't we don't.

Speaker 6 (06:47):
Have a whole day where we eat a bald eagle,
you know what I mean. Well, I know we should
start eating bald eagles. They're not in dangered anymore, right.

Speaker 5 (06:53):
I don't think it's a good bird though, America, you
know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Yeah, No, it's good just to view them and look
at them and go, damn, that's a badass bird.

Speaker 6 (07:03):
I imagine a lot like the highlander Angel would like
you to be a Highlander, you have to cut off
the head of the other highlander that when you eat
an eagle.

Speaker 5 (07:11):
It gives you all the powers of America. Okay, Okay.

Speaker 4 (07:14):
Eagles are scavengers, dude.

Speaker 7 (07:15):
They eat I mean they eat road killed, they'll eat trash,
they'll eat maybe, buddy, Okay, so do I.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
They're impressive. You see one in the wild, and you
see one live, it's a pretty like I said, I
took a photo of it and I put it on
my little.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
Uh landfills and see them all the time.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Man used to be there endangered. But yeah, you're right,
they've come back. It used to be like a big
deal if you saw a bald eagle. It was a
big deal for me. I didn't see the one in
a while. Oh and then we tried to go out
on Saturday to Ah. They had it advertised as this
big barbecue festival. Right, I'm like, okay, it looks pretty cool.
You know, Marion own salt somewhere. Let's go this big
barbecue festial. It's in winter, Hayman, let's go check it out.

(07:52):
It's at some uh it's at that I was, well,
I think it was called eagle uh eagles mall or
something like that eagle something mall, and like, oh, has
to go check it out. Woof, it was lame. Yeah,
it was just a bunch of tents in the parking
lot and uh and they were setting selling like crochet
and and uh all these things you never would want,
you know, like when somebody has their guy that was

(08:14):
selling some pickles. They had a they had a cattle
corn guy.

Speaker 5 (08:17):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
They had just all the stuff that that I don't
really need that I don't I don't really need the
crochet pig although. Yeah, and there was no place to sit,
like like they have barbecue. There were no tables or anything.

Speaker 4 (08:30):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
I did meet fans of the show, was very nice
and they were they were super nice to me and everything.
And I'm like, I would get some barbecue, man, but
there's nowhere to sit down, and They're like, yeah, we
were just thinking about that. So we ended up going
somewhere else to eat. But uh uh yeah, a lot
of rain going in and out all weekend long, so
it kind of ruined any kind of a big plans.
But I did watch a lot of uh well, I
watched a little bit of good football, which means I

(08:53):
watched the entire Dolphins game that was not the good football,
that was the bad football.

Speaker 4 (08:58):
I was one of the more bizarre games.

Speaker 5 (09:01):
How do you do that?

Speaker 2 (09:01):
How are you of seventeen and nothing? Seventeen and nothing
and you let him come back.

Speaker 5 (09:06):
Or beat you because they're the Dolphins, buddy.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Yeah they're pretty bad. Yeah, yeah, they're pretty bad. Just
be ready for it. Yeah, just a matter of fact.
Matter of fact.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
I thought.

Speaker 7 (09:16):
I thought not for nothing. I thought there was a
moment that I was like, Okay, these guys are gonna
pull this off. But then we were brought down to
a reality of that third defense.

Speaker 4 (09:24):
Is that all world bad?

Speaker 2 (09:25):
It is all world bad.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
That's what I was like.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Okay, you know the first quicker, they're looking pretty good, the.

Speaker 4 (09:33):
New tall guy, the tight end. Okay Waller, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Waller, he's the answer to Jerk Hill. I'm like, okay,
that's pretty cool.

Speaker 4 (09:42):
Wil didn't do anything.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Uh, Wattle was fine, But I mean, it's just their
defense is just so so bad.

Speaker 6 (09:48):
This is the most wrong week of all my football
picks that I've ever made.

Speaker 5 (09:51):
Oh my god. Yeah, like I only got I think
I got.

Speaker 4 (09:54):
Like three.

Speaker 5 (09:56):
Because the Texans destroyed the Raven. That was a weird.

Speaker 4 (10:00):
Yeah, and I got killed on that one.

Speaker 5 (10:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (10:02):
The Angel I was thinking about you and would never
bet against your team and never, you know, never do that.

Speaker 5 (10:09):
And I was like, the Bills are definitely gonna beat
the Patriots. Here's all my money gambling.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
App anybody would have taken that, I mean the Bills
and the and the Patriots.

Speaker 6 (10:19):
Hem, yeah, I sure did. I'm not betting on that
teams anymore.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
How did that happen?

Speaker 2 (10:25):
I didn't watch it because I like, well, that's gonna
be a kill and they're gonna slaughter.

Speaker 7 (10:28):
It was feisty from the from the get go, was
feisty and uh. And then the Bills dropped these new
uniforms that are awesome, but unfortunately you're probably never gonna
get to see them again, because if I'm the Bills
and we lost this game to New England, We're never
playing in those unis again.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
I think I think the Bills like they realized that
their entire team is Josh Allen and uh, that guy.
I mean, he's good, he's amazing, he's a great quarterback,
but they need more weapons in their system because he
can't hold it up by himself.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
And what team is the only team that has not
won a game?

Speaker 5 (11:00):
Oh, I don't know, the Jets, the Jets.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
Yeah they are, yeah, the stinky Jets. But listen, I
don't think the Dolphins are gonna win another game. I
think they the only the only team they're gonna beat
are the Jets, and then they're gonna go there. I mean,
they just they gave away. It was seventeen and nothing. Angel.
It was like and I'm like, I'm like, you know what,
because I know Mary Ellen. She's waiting for me to
watch the game. She doesn't really like watching them, so

(11:26):
she's in the other room, like watching a movie. I'm like, hey, honey,
you know what, maybe at halftime we can watch that
movie you want to watch. Because there it's seventeen and nothing.
And so I feel good about it. I feel pretty
good about this. I'm gonna eat some lunch and then
after that I'll come and watch the movie.

Speaker 4 (11:39):
And I go back. I'm like, oh, well, hold on.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
They scored. Let me watch this the first second, like,
they're scored again. Hold on. So I watched the whole thing,
but it was just that's frustrating.

Speaker 7 (11:50):
Well, we got a good game tonight. We got the
Chiefs and the Jaguars.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Yeah, you know who else I thought was going to
I thought the Giants were gonna win against the against
the New Orleans about Tampa Bay, well, o, hey, now
Tampa's fun to watch.

Speaker 7 (12:05):
Like that game was the I think that was outside
of the because obviously the Bills game is in New
England game is late. But of the daytime games, that
was the game that was the most fun at one
o'clock games, that was the best one.

Speaker 2 (12:18):
Yes, I enjoy watching the Bucks this year, and they
are there.

Speaker 4 (12:22):
I like the.

Speaker 7 (12:23):
Quarterback those whoever had the ball last was going to
win that game because they were you know, the defenses
weren't doing anything.

Speaker 4 (12:29):
They were scoring almost that well.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
But you know Baker, Baker Mayfield is just a tough quarterback. Uh,
he's he's pretty dependable. I like him.

Speaker 5 (12:37):
Do you watch any of the early game o'clock in
the morning.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
I didn't know where it was.

Speaker 4 (12:42):
I couldn't find Huh NBC? Was it regular TV?

Speaker 2 (12:47):
I couldn't find you regular as it was on NBC
because I was watching I was watching Christian Welker and uh,
what's it called him?

Speaker 5 (12:55):
It was on my regular TV?

Speaker 2 (12:56):
Was it really?

Speaker 4 (12:57):
Yeah? They're playing that at regular time?

Speaker 6 (13:00):
Confused because I'm still I'm not used to it, and
I was like, why are they playing a replay game?

Speaker 5 (13:04):
And the Browns and the Vikings. But that's fun to
get up and watch it though.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
So so they it was it must have been after
Meet the Press then.

Speaker 5 (13:14):
Dude, I don't know when Meet the Presses on? I
watch it got a nerd do I.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Look like I like to watch see what's going on?

Speaker 5 (13:21):
Nerd?

Speaker 6 (13:22):
But Meet the Press of all the shows to find
out what's going on, that is legitly the most boring one.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
Really.

Speaker 5 (13:29):
Yeah, I don't want to meet the press. I want
the press to do their job real quick.

Speaker 4 (13:32):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
It was on the Fox. Uh it was on five Fox,
so that's thirty five see And okay, so where I'm
at it's different. I have like four different Foxes there,
and and I when I looked at it, I'm like, okay,
they're not going to show the Dolphins game. And so
when the Dolphins game started, I said, well, let me
just go search just in case I'm missing it. And
it was on another Fox channel that we get in
in uh out in winter Haven. Yeah, all right, more

(13:55):
big dumb fund, more stuff.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
It is a Monday.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
I hope you're having a great day so far. And
We'll don't go anywhere. You're listening to the March of
the Morning.

Speaker 3 (14:04):
Introducing the latest way to hear the greatest station in
the world, Just till SI to play Real Radio one
oh four point one.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
Next week, Montras are gonna be out at by october
Fest October the sixteenth, Live show from six to eleven.
Dayton and Harley Davidson come and say, Hi, we'll be
out there. I think I think they're setting us up at.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
A bar too.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Did you go if you go out there to do
that yet? Or is that this week you go out there? Angel?

Speaker 7 (14:42):
I'm sorry, Actually that is Oh dang, you just reminded me.
I think that's today to walk through Ye.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
Walk through today?

Speaker 2 (14:49):
Okay, that way you can tell me wh're because I.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
Don't know exactly know where we're sitting.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
Yeah, I think I think it's a bar. I think
it's called Satans and Centers, but I could be wrong.

Speaker 4 (14:57):
Let me know.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
But anyway, I know they're gonna be I see you
guys can party. It's the first day of Bitoberfest, so
it'll be a party atmosphere. That's why they're asking us
to come out there. Uh, welcome back. I'm rus rollands
along with Angel and Ryan here today it is it
is the sixth, so that's six days without shaving. I
don't know if you can tell that I've been gone
six days without shaving. I can tell now, yeah, big beard,

(15:19):
big boy, big big, big beard. Someone asked me yesterday,
why why are you? How come you how come you're
not shaving? I so I'm protesting the government shutdown. It's
been six days, has nothing to do with it, that's funny.
I did it just because Ryan, I don't know, because
he'd been begging me, goofing on me to do it

(15:39):
for November. And I didn't want to do it for
November because my son's getting married that month and I
thought I'd ruin his pictures. Uh, But so I said,
I'll do it for October for what the.

Speaker 5 (15:49):
Hell looks cool?

Speaker 2 (15:50):
I don't know about that. I hate the gray, the gray,
you can, you know. But then I realized I am sixty,
So what the hell? What does it matter? Yeah?

Speaker 5 (15:57):
Just just embrace it. Yeah, don't had a beard ever,
it's time. There was a time, there was a time
like a beard beard.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
Yeah, there was a time. Yeah, when was this? I
had a wife. That that's what she.

Speaker 5 (16:10):
Liked what timely like having.

Speaker 7 (16:13):
Thirteen to fifteen because I was on the show and
at all I witnessed it.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
Yeah, I witnessed.

Speaker 7 (16:21):
You saw a car wreckness it was miserable.

Speaker 4 (16:24):
Yeah he didn't. That's why where was You're optimistic about
all this?

Speaker 2 (16:29):
I'm not.

Speaker 5 (16:30):
Okay, I'm excited to see his face every day.

Speaker 7 (16:34):
I remember what it was like. I remember all the
moaning and grown in. I remember other elements about that time.
I had forgotten most of this time because I just
had I had just gotten put on the show.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Then, Oh that's right, yeah, oh yeah, that was Yeah,
we'll call that the load times, not because you were
put on the show like the other things. Life was
a regmund But anyway, Oh, another thing that I did
do Friday night, I want to I was just curious
because you know, I've had conversations with her on several occasions,

(17:09):
and we've done some promotions with her and all this
kind of stuff is I wanted to see how HollyHood
Haley J would do in this slap competition. Did you
guys see this? No? Okay, So so she entered this
UFC thing that they do where they've got big, big
dudes that stand there and just slap the hell out
of each other. And then they've got girls that do

(17:30):
it as well, or ladies or whatever you were. And
she did it last round and she knocked this girl
out slapping her. I'm like, damn, that was pretty good.
Well now they had her here in round two of
this slap competition and I'm like, look, girl looks a
lot bigger than Hollywood Haley J. And she's a little girl.
I mean she's one hundred and twenty, you know, buck
twenty or something. I mean she's small. I think she's

(17:52):
a little smaller than Amber Nova or they're around the same.
I don't know, like you know, a slight girl. But
you know, you know, she's she hood, she's badass, she's tough,
all this kind of stuff, and so she does slamp
sla and of course she was talking lots of smack
because she's a wrestler, that's what she does. And she
likes she likes to play heel, you know, she likes

(18:13):
to be a bad girl and all this kind of stuff.
So she was really talking it up. Now, I don't
know if the girl that she was slapping against, the
girl she was slapping against was not a professional wrestler.
She was like a workout girl that just likes to slap,
I guess. And so she gets up and she gets
slapped by you got it, he's got it up and
watched this angel. She gets the absolute put Jesus, I

(18:33):
mean out ding. I mean, I mean like she can't
now she gets up, she can't walk, and so you know,
and I show this to Mary Ellen and she's like, do.

Speaker 5 (18:43):
You know how not good that is?

Speaker 2 (18:45):
What is happening is is her brain is hitting the
inside of her skull and it's bouncing. And there's a
name for it. I forget what she called, well, concussion
is there's another name for when when the brain goes
back and forth like thing, and that is permanent brain damage.
Like like she's like, I can't believe there's a league
even like that. And it really is kind of unbelievable

(19:06):
because because you know, she got the I mean s
slapped out of her and she couldn't stand, couldn't walk,
and and there's some sort of damage that's concussion for sure.
How I mean, how do they I don't know how
long they can get away with that.

Speaker 7 (19:21):
You know, this has been going on for a while man.
And now, I mean it's Dana White is invested in it.
He's got the whole new league that he's got, you know,
invested in. Yeah, it's been gaining momentum.

Speaker 5 (19:33):
I don't.

Speaker 7 (19:34):
I don't see the lore in this. There's no fighting
at all. There's no tactics.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
You're just standing there and getting and getting your brain slap.

Speaker 7 (19:41):
As look as brutal as UFC can be at times,
but those guys there's you know, there's there's training, there's
there's difference of styles, there's there there's a tactical.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
Warfare going on there.

Speaker 7 (19:54):
You know, it might not be what you like, you know, talent, yeah,
or a skill you know, the skills, Yeah, there's there's
none of that with this now. So there's nothing that
you can do to train to withstand an.

Speaker 4 (20:07):
Assault like that at all.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
I don't.

Speaker 7 (20:09):
I don't understand the lure of it. I don't get it.
It's it's it's one of the things where I definitely
I'm like, I'm not interested.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
Agreed. I just watched it because I know her and
I met her and and and uh, you know we've
worked with her a couple of times and she won
the last one I'm like, oh, let's see how she does.

Speaker 4 (20:23):
Because she's talking a lot of smack for this one.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
She gets knocked out, which basically means her brain was
bouncing up inside of her matoba. There was another name
that paramout. Yeah, I forget what it was, but anyway
doesn't know, it doesn't matter. But tarted, Yeah, she got
slap tarted is what she got. I wonder if she's
gonna quit after that, Like I'm curious, Like, after you
get knocked out like that and embarrassed and everything, I mean,

(20:48):
go back to professional wrestling, you know, like you know
they're they're supposed to be pulling the punches there. You know,
you know, are really good as you know, as injured
as I mean, you get injured in professional wrestling, but
not like that. That is full on got knocked out
on camera and and then if it's everywhere on social
so no one forgets it.

Speaker 6 (21:05):
Yeah, that's embarrassing, Like it's not even it's not a
good look all around, even if you win.

Speaker 5 (21:10):
It's like sad. This whole competition is sad.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
It's sad.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
What do you think she got paid?

Speaker 4 (21:14):
What do you think you get paid?

Speaker 2 (21:16):
If you're the undercard undercard because they make the ladies
are like the first round. It's like the first thing
you see, there's like two ladies slaps, and then it
goes all the way up to the dudes. And a
lot of those dudes can sit there and get slapped
and not get knocked out like they whatever reason, they've
got thick heads or thick skulls or whatever. And there's
some dudes that you can allegedly you can't knock them out.

Speaker 6 (21:37):
But ye, but the dude got knocked out too, oh diddy, Yeah,
the dude got not. I'll show you here in a second.
It's just this league's gonna get sued out of existence.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
That's what I think too. That's what That's what Mary
Allan was saying, Like they're gonna have to shut this down.

Speaker 4 (21:54):
Exactly.

Speaker 7 (21:55):
Got the right friends and they this is like this
has been going on for a few years now here stateside,
but out Like the reason they're doing it here is
because it's been popular in Europe, like they've been doing
this in like the Eastern Bloc countries up.

Speaker 6 (22:09):
Yeah, the Russians and the Baltics do weird stuff, but
they also do that five on five MMn like fighting
a phone booth.

Speaker 4 (22:16):
Phone booth of the car. Yeah.

Speaker 7 (22:18):
So they've taken the MMA stuff to a different level
over there, and so they're doing these kind of different fights.
But this has been popular over there for quite some time,
and it's just now that they're like I said, he's
I don't know who's saying shing it. I don't know
who's signed off on it.

Speaker 4 (22:31):
I don't like.

Speaker 7 (22:32):
But the money so far is is like you get
two thousand to show and two thousand to win. Yeah,
so she's probably made two thousand dollars. She's making about
four to five thousand.

Speaker 5 (22:43):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
Just a man.

Speaker 7 (22:46):
Unless there's a you know, a bonus for her being
a champion or the champion.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
Right right, all right, So there was that there, There
was that. I was like, man, she got she got
definitely pummeled there. Oh and then I'll give you a
little heads up. So we had a a you know,
I get the show prep and last week in the
show prep, they were like, you know, the the scariest
movie of the year in you know, in twenty twenty five,

(23:10):
and it had a movie I had not heard of,
and so I didn't I didn't use it as a
as a trivia thing like, well, I hadn't heard of it.
I don't know if the guys had heard of it. Uh,
And it was. It was considered the scariest movie of
the year. It was above Weapons. Remember Weapons, was was
a big movie that did well. And then there was
another one, Sinners. It was in third. The number one

(23:30):
movie was this movie called Bring Her Back. And I'm like,
I've never heard of that. Have you guys seen bring
Her Back?

Speaker 4 (23:36):
Have not?

Speaker 2 (23:37):
It's out now.

Speaker 4 (23:40):
Streaming.

Speaker 2 (23:41):
It was in it was in the theaters. Now it's
on streaming and it is funny talk. It is a
British thing. But I'm like, well, let's watch what they
said is is the scariest movie of the of the year.
It is pretty bad. It's one of those it's a
British movie. So they don't do the same script like
like an American movie would do. Like you in American movie,

(24:03):
there's certain things you you know you would never see like, okay,
well they're not going to do that because you know,
you can't have a you can't have a kid die,
you can't.

Speaker 4 (24:10):
Do this because you know dog's not gonna die.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
Like like, they don't run by any of those rules.
And it is Uh, it's pretty shocking. It's called uh,
like I say, bring her back, funny talk, but you
still can.

Speaker 4 (24:23):
Understand what they're saying right there.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
It's not too British, it's it's it's a little British.
So I'm not you know, so you don't, so it
doesn't run you if you're like me, and if it's
something way too funny talk, you're like, I can't understand
what they're saying. Not with this one. You can understand
what they're saying. But it's uh, it's pretty brutal, and
I'm like, why why am I watching this? Uh? Because
it gets into the the gore stuff and I don't
really like gory. But the story was good too, so

(24:47):
maybe I just turned my head when the gory stuff happened,
you know. And this being in the October, it's a
it's you know, a scary movie time. But I'm just
curious somebody our listeners. Oh, they're saying it's Australian.

Speaker 5 (24:57):
Okay, yeah, I know it's spooky.

Speaker 6 (25:00):
I was having problems, like, uh, I was like, all right,
I'll get into spooky sheesion.

Speaker 5 (25:04):
I saw that movie up there and I just can't
do it. I can't pull the trigger on tour stuff.

Speaker 4 (25:10):
It doesn't.

Speaker 6 (25:10):
It doesn't do it for me. The most I could
do was they released Marvel Zombies on Disney Plus okay,
and it was a honk of crap. It was so bad,
like we bored halfway through, stopped watching it.

Speaker 2 (25:22):
I like a thriller. I don't like the gore. This
was a thriller, but it threw in a lot of gore,
and it's stuff you wouldn't. You're like, oh, well, because
they're having kids do stuff, you know.

Speaker 5 (25:32):
Which is like, oh that's weird, like what do they do?

Speaker 2 (25:36):
Ah? Well, I won't blow it for you guys. I
don't blow it for a listener or whatever. But I
mean so I'll try not to give anything away. But
it's just it's just it's just I don't. I don't
blow up for people because oh yeah.

Speaker 5 (25:49):
You mister you you never do, are you?

Speaker 4 (25:52):
I usually don't do spoil what are you doing?

Speaker 5 (25:55):
And who are you?

Speaker 2 (25:55):
But this is new it's called Bring Her Back, and
people might be watching it for the for you know,
the like Halloween holiday, So I don't want to.

Speaker 4 (26:02):
I should mark this day down.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Hold on, just say there's there's there's some there's some
scenes with kids that you're like, whoa, You normally don't
do that. Americans don't. We don't make kids the villains and.

Speaker 5 (26:13):
Kids, you know, your children of the corn.

Speaker 2 (26:15):
You don't show dead kids. You don't show like Harry
Potter seven kids eating each other like.

Speaker 5 (26:20):
It's it's like whoa eating each other? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (26:24):
Yeah, you don't. Yeah, it's like you can't get it
out of you here. And the pretty graphic stuff.

Speaker 5 (26:28):
It's a tiny army hammers. I don't want to see it.

Speaker 2 (26:30):
But it was scary. It was scary, and the story
was something you'd never seen before. So anyway, I was.
I was when I saw that that was the scariest
movie of the year. I'm like, oh, it can't be that.
It can't be better than Weapons. Weapons was great. It's scarier.

Speaker 4 (26:45):
Gory.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
So does gory equal scary to you?

Speaker 6 (26:49):
No? Not as like Saw is gross And I never
never found it scary. It's just like this is the grower,
like Hostiles nasty. Yeah, but no, I don't know. I
don't need to be scared right now, like I feel,
I feel like we're in a very traumatic time in history,
and uh, I want all the happy stuff right now,
I want more ted Lasso, I work more shrinking. I

(27:10):
don't want like nothing about me right now wants to
go into like like black Mirror.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
I don't want to see. I need to turn my
brain off with entertainment.

Speaker 2 (27:19):
After we watch this thing this bring her back. I'm like,
we got to get a different algorithm or something, because
it's only telling us scary movies and I like, I
want to see.

Speaker 5 (27:27):
You only have one account, we just use mine. Yeah,
but you can set up different profiles.

Speaker 4 (27:32):
Yeah I could.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
Yeah, I do that.

Speaker 4 (27:35):
We've had this conversation with it before. He's never to
do it. I never do it. Yeah, I just I
just stay with the one that.

Speaker 6 (27:40):
Uh, it's literally what you're asking for you like, oh,
there should be an algorithm change in moments, Like you
can do.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
That, just start it and just only watch rom coms
on it.

Speaker 5 (27:49):
Yeah. I have one profile.

Speaker 6 (27:51):
I just call it happy okay, and then you just
only watch happy stuff on it.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
Okay, I'll do that today. I'll start a happy I
need happy movies because all the scared movies pop up.
But this is Halloween, so Mary alone only wants to
watch like but she wants to watch like uh like
what's the one with Bette Midler of this the hocus Pokes,
hocus Pocus, Goofy, you know, Beetlejuice, like all the Goofy

(28:17):
Halloween stuff.

Speaker 6 (28:18):
Those are the best one for me, those the best ones.
Nothing beats the original Beetlejuice.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
So if I if I tell you one thing that
that that's way graphic in that movie.

Speaker 4 (28:26):
That is it the scene where they're texting in about.

Speaker 2 (28:30):
Yes, that is like brutally like oh my god. And
it's a kid like I don't know. They're not running
by the same rules that they run by in America
when they make a movie. So I thought it was British,
but it's Australian. They're saying, it's easy to confuse. Sounds
a lot the same. They do not say very similar.

(28:52):
No ones like good day and one was like good
I both funny talk, both funny.

Speaker 5 (28:59):
Where version of British funny talk. Though we're a version
of British funny talk.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
I know, but we've straightened it out.

Speaker 6 (29:09):
We just made ours different, just like how Australia made
there's a little bit different. Canada's is a little bit different.
Canada is the weirdest one of all of them.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
To be honest with you, Yeah, they sound like they're
from minutes older.

Speaker 6 (29:19):
Well, Canadian will sound like a completely Norman human being
until they tell you what something's about.

Speaker 5 (29:24):
And then you're like, wow.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
A lot of people are saying fat Canadian Bring Her
Back was good. I mean it was a good movie.
I just don't need to see that kind of gore.
And if that makes me a pussy, okay, I'm a busy,
but like, I don't need to see that kind of gore.
You could, you could like, oh, I'll tell you what's good. Oh,
I know we gotta go to break. I'll tell you
what's going to come back. Don't go anywhere. You're listening
to the Much of the morning. How you got this

(29:53):
week to make sure your scarecrow and drop it off
in Mount Dora. I think I'm dropping mine off on Wednesday,
but it's gonna be all part of their fall festival
they're doing. It's gonna be on October the eighteenth. And
if you build a scarecrow and put it in downtown Meldor,
you can put whatever company you know, advertise your company,
whatever organization you want to advertise, just so you know

(30:16):
whatever it is you can do that, and this is
the week you can drop off your scarecrow and it
all benefits the Carly k Cancel Screening Fund. Welcome back
on RUSS with Angel and Ryan here on a beautiful
Monday morning. Another thing that I watch again's rainy this weekend.
So not a whole lot of activities going on, just
kind of a lot of watching TV. I watched that
the one movie I just told you about somebody asked
the name of it is called Bring Her Back. It

(30:38):
was considered the scariest movie of the year, and I
could see why because a lot of gore to it.
Another thing I watched a couple episodes of I didn't
watch the whole thing because it had gotten gory, and
I'm like, I'm enough with gory. But this is a
true story and it's called Monster, the ed Geen Story.
Do you know who ed Geen is?

Speaker 7 (30:57):
I saw the trailers for this. I do have it
on my list. I'm curious because it's got that actor
Charlie Hunt in it. That guy so he apparently knocks
the socks off this role and is absolutely just chilling.

Speaker 2 (31:09):
So Charlie Hunter, he was he was Jest, he was
Jack's and Sons of Anarchy. Good looking dude, man, let's
just be honest as far as dudes go. Good looking dude,
but in this he is ed Gean and he is
not good looking like like he he is. He is
weird and it's almost hard to see that it's him.

Speaker 4 (31:31):
He really does a great job.

Speaker 2 (31:32):
At acting like this this and there is actual uh
video on not video, I guess it's just like a
film or whatever of ed Gean. Ed Gan is a
guy that they the movie Psycho was made about him,
also Texas Chainsaw Massacre. They took parts of his story
from that. This guy was, I mean, as disturbed as

(31:53):
they come. But when you met him, he was the nicest,
most polite, Like police were like, he was the nicest
guy we've met, Like he was sweet and nice. But
he was he was psycho. He he was you know,
he was psychotic and uh, just so.

Speaker 4 (32:05):
You know that these are the ed genes and nicknames.
Did you get these?

Speaker 3 (32:09):
What?

Speaker 7 (32:09):
This was his nicknames? Again, he's out of Wisconsin. He
was also known as.

Speaker 4 (32:17):
I just had it.

Speaker 6 (32:17):
I'm sorry it was awesome that you Plainfield's yeah, the
Butcher of Plainfield and the Plainfield Ghoul.

Speaker 2 (32:23):
Yeah, the guy. But but they go they show where
he like how he was raised his mom, I mean
he was horrible to him, beat him, was terrible.

Speaker 4 (32:33):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
And then a lot of stuff from Psycho was actually
from his real life. And and they so in the
in this in this show, it's a Netflix thing, by
the way, series the series, Uh, they show like Alfred
Hitchcock learning about him.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
They go back and forth in time.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
They go back to the you know, like the gosh,
I guess it was the early thirties or whatever when
he was a kid, and they go back, they go
to the fifties when they were making Psycho, and and
there was a scene that they show and I'd forgotten
about this. I remember hearing about it. But when Psycho
came out, you know the famous scene where it was
you know, she gets stabbed in the in the shower,

(33:09):
of the shower scene that was so shocking to people
back then. Now the gore is out of control, right,
but then somebody getting stabbed in the in the shower
was so bad. People were throwing up. They were leaving
the movie theater and they were showing this and how
you know, he was thrilled, you know, like, oh my god,

(33:29):
I really got him. You know, Alfred Hitchcock loved the
fact he was standing outside of the movie theater just
watching people run out and just absolutely loving it. But
they never actually show any stabbing or anything super graphic
in that scene. You just see the blood going down
the drain and she's just kind of, you know, doing this.
But at that time that was super super graphic and

(33:51):
considered out of control. But I haven't watched the whole
thing yet. I was just really surprised at how this guy,
Charlie Hunum plays this dude and is totally transforming. He's
like a totally different guy.

Speaker 7 (34:04):
They've got they've got a side by side of like
a photograph of ed from way back when, and then
got Charlie done up in the makeup for it, and
they they got the look that nailed in pretty good.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
And I saw an interview with the real guy, the
real uh uh ed Geen, and he talks like him
as well, like the mannerisms and everything. So, I mean,
you know, now these days, you know a series from Netflix,
you can you can you know, you can get a
I don't guess it would be an Oscar that would
be more of an Emmy, right because that's a television
get an Emmy for it or whatever.

Speaker 6 (34:36):
But uh, oh, I wish I didn't really know that
much about this guy other than he existed. And I
just read a very gross description and I wish I
could get that out of my brain.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
Yeah, he worshiped the Nazis, and he worshiped this one
woman who was the most worst, I mean, a horrible
Nazi who used to make like lampshades and stuff out
of their skins, and he worshiped her. And in his mind,
he was just doing what she did, you know, like
I'm not doing anything wrong and someone else has already done.

Speaker 4 (35:02):
It in his mind.

Speaker 6 (35:04):
Like, here's a couple of things that the Wikipedia list
that he had, which was like human skulls mounted on bedposts,
like this is just decoration.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
His bowl that he used for years was a skull
of a person.

Speaker 4 (35:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (35:18):
He had a trash can made out of human skin.

Speaker 2 (35:21):
Yeah, and a lamp shade.

Speaker 6 (35:23):
And then like he wanted I guess he wanted to
make a woman's skin suit and then like wear it.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
That's yeah, the guy was, but when you met him,
you didn't know that was That was the thing about him.

Speaker 5 (35:32):
He was.

Speaker 2 (35:33):
He was sweet and kind and you didn't know when
you met it.

Speaker 6 (35:35):
I always think about this in the way like people
are like the world is so much scarier now and like,
oh my god, we got to be on edge and
blah blah blah. Do we live in the safest time
that there's ever been because guys like this existed all
throughout history were never caught. Like I always think like
there were like Roman, Like in Roman time serial killers,
people like had no idea they were even active or

(35:57):
a thing at all, and we had no like you know,
monitoring this thing. No one was reporting stuff. So this
stuff like I always think about, like I'm glad I
live in this time where like when somebody goes missing,
the people are like wait a minute, okay, and you
can connect dots.

Speaker 5 (36:09):
This is gross. It is when he died when I
see you know.

Speaker 7 (36:13):
It's crazy because I mean again, it goes to what
you're saying. He died in nineteen eighty four.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
Wait what in prison?

Speaker 4 (36:20):
Yeah, in a mental institution.

Speaker 5 (36:22):
Yeah, so like we got a lung cancer.

Speaker 7 (36:24):
Secondary they said it was something else, but like yeah,
so like when you were we were like, oh this
is old story, it's really not that old.

Speaker 2 (36:31):
Yeah, he was when he reported like nineteen oh seven
or something, and he lived a long life, but he
was always oh, he's the I think there was another
movie that was made about him too, so one was
one was Psycho, the other was Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I
think I think they use a little bit of silence
of the lambs for this guy too, and he's the

(36:52):
most extreme case that they ever found. It's it's pretty
good documentary or not documentary, but you know, SERI on Netflix,
but once again it started to get graphic.

Speaker 4 (37:03):
I'm like, I can't watch any.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
More graphic because then you turn on the news and
there's another you know, shooting with real people being shot
all over the place, and I gotta get away from that.
I don't want to see it. You know.

Speaker 6 (37:13):
This is the thing that I always think we're weird
for like as Americans, like we can't we god forbid,
you show a nipple on the television. Yeah, but we like,
you can show like this hardcore violence and we just
eat it up. Whether it's like dateline episodes that discuss
this kind of stuff or actual dramas were like this,
it's based on this story. I will never understand that

(37:34):
this kind of stuff I saw this on Netflix. I
was like, maybe that's interesting. I don't need this kind
of stuff in my brain.

Speaker 2 (37:40):
I'll be honest, I probably will not go back to
it because of the Gore. I was interested to see
the real story of this guy, and it is interesting.
His mom was horrible to him, and he kills his
brother and there's all kinds of stuff. You're like, whoa,
that was his first kill and then he just liked it.
It's just it's just a weird thing.

Speaker 5 (37:59):
I don't like Gore.

Speaker 6 (37:59):
I won't even watch a documentary on football legend Frank Gore.

Speaker 5 (38:03):
That's how much I hate I won't even do it.
See that's why yourself.

Speaker 4 (38:07):
It's Monday.

Speaker 5 (38:07):
I'm warming up today.

Speaker 2 (38:09):
I get to see Tulsa King. See there's no Gore
in Tulsa King. It's just stupid old uh Semester.

Speaker 5 (38:14):
Loan the old short man fighting old guy.

Speaker 2 (38:17):
So I like those stories, right, the old old men
still tough. Those are my stories now, anything Taylor Sheraton,
anything is old man still tough. I'm in for that.
Then there's no blood. You just punch him and they
fall down. That's all it is. You know, nothing gory.
I don't need gory in my life.

Speaker 6 (38:34):
Yeah, No, it's you need to create the happy profile
and then and turn off anything gross like that.

Speaker 5 (38:40):
Yeah, I know, and I bet it'll change your mental outlook.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
My mental look is still good. I just I just
I hide my eyes whenever the blood. I don't want
to see that.

Speaker 6 (38:49):
I feel like I could make an argument that, like
the kind of the reason why we're at where we're
at as a society is we've been solely traumatizing ourselves
watching this stuff like these like middle aged women watch
this kind of stuff. You can't tell me this stuff
does not have an effect on your brain what on
whether it makes you a little bit more scared, a
little bit more apprehensive, or like putting something like even
nightmares in your head.

Speaker 5 (39:09):
This cannot be good for people's mental health.
