Speaker 1 (00:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
So next Tuesday, I'm dropping off my scarecrow out to
the City of Mountdoor. City Mount Door is when they
Fall Harvest Festival.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
If you want to make a scarecrow and.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Hang it in the main street and Mount Dora, promote
whatever business you have, promote whatever you want to promote.
It's just fifty dollars to do it. The money goes
to the Carla K Cancer Screening Foe. By the way,
we paid for five more people to get cancer screening
yesterday and we'll be doing five more next week and
I will I don't know if this sounds bad or.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Good, but this is just real.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
I'm excited about the first screening we get where we
actually catch somebody's cancer early and saved their life. And
that's something I know my sister was excited about. And
as of right now, everyone that's had their in screening
have been clear of cancer, which is good.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
You know.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
I'm excited about catching at one time and actually making
a difference in saving someone's life. But that's that's what
the Carl K Camp screening fun is about. And if
you want to make a scarecrow, it's fun. It's something
fun to do this weekend and I'm gonna drop mine
off next Tuesday with Chris Carson over at the City
of Mount Dora. And there's like, I think, almost twenty
of them so far. You can have one own, just
(01:20):
have fun with it, Build a scarecrow.

their playoff position, but you will you like to get
(02:29):
the win against Columbus for the points.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
UCF is hosting Kansas City Jayhawks. Kansas City, Kansas Jayhawks
here tomorrow. That is a seven thirty to seven thirty start.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
And then they got they got me pretty badly less, yeah, and.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
Then we've got again. Really, if you're a state of Florida,
these rivalry games are always a blast to watch. Got
University of Miami that are currently four and oh Citty
at number three versus number eighteen.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Yeah, Florida State.
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Seminals that they're at three and one, and that's gonna
be a seven thirty start for that game as well. Okay,
so seven thirty on Saturday, Saturday, Saturday Saturday.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Okay, yeah, yeah, I'll watch that one. That's good.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Yeah, I go to the Moose Lodge and watch it.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
Well, that's right, back, I gotta, I gotta sign them
for a moose.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
We got We've got three stations. Yeah, we got like
three or four sponsors. Dude in my moose lodge out
of winter Haven. They want you guys to come out
for sure. They're like, they're definitely welcome here. They were,
they were super cool about it.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
Good, we're doing it.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
We had baseball action last night, Russ, and we settle
up all the wild card games. Again, those are these
are like high stress intensity games because it's the best
out of three and you're playing all the games at
the team with the better record out of the two.
So for example, Yankees and Red Sox, all those games
(03:56):
were in New York. So Yankees won last night.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
For I know it's gonna wear my Yankee hat today.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
I forgot. I'll wear it on Monday.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
I see all the Texans service is really happy about
me wearing a hat. I'll wear the hat on Monday
to support the Yankees as my team.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
They're going to the World Series.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
Yankees won last night for zero. Cubs won last night
three to one, and then the Tigers beat the Guardians
sixty three. So we've got it set for the Division
Series that's gonna be Cubs and Brewers, Yankees and Blue Jays,
Dodgers versus the Phillies, and Tigers versus the Mariners. So
(04:35):
that and all these games will be starting tomorrow. Tomorrow
they will all start. So again, I apologize, Yankee wear
your Yankee gear.
Speaker 5 (04:47):
Sorry too late, he declared it.
Speaker 3 (04:50):
It doesn't yeah, pretty much doesn't matter what happens. Okay,
last night we had some Thursday night NFL action, and
the forty nine Ers beat the Rams twenty sixty three
in overtime. So congratulations to the San Francisco forty nine Ers.
It cost him a lot though. There was a bunch
of injuries, some key injuries last night, but Mac Jones
came in and did some work three hundred and forty
(05:13):
two yards two tds. Matthew Stafford had three tds three
hundred and eighty nine yards. But again, it's solid victory
for the forty nine Ers who are currently four and one.
Don't know how they're doing it because they're they're just
losing guys right and left. Los Angeles Rams are currently
three and two. After that, some of the other action
NFL action that's going to be happening on this weekend,
(05:35):
this weekend and these are the one o'clock games, russ
or Actually we got another nine thirty game this Sunday,
we got Vikings and Browns. I think there's still is
still no. They are in what is this London? This
is in London, London, and they're at the North Northumberland
(05:56):
Development and that's where North Tottenham. So that's where the
Cottenham Hotspurs how football club plays, Okay, and that's where
they they'll be playing their game. So it's gonna be
Minnesota Vikings versus the Cleveland Browns. And again that's a
nine to thirty game. I'm I'm becoming a fan of
nine to.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
Thirty football games, like waking up and you're like, oh,
this is a live action.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
Yeah, So that's the nine thirty game. And then our
run of one o'clock games Cowboys versus the Jets, Giants
and Saints, Raiders and Colts, the Doodoo Bowl, Dolphins and Panthers,
and then Broncos and Eagles, Texas versus the Ravens. That
represents the one o'clock games. Right again, this is me
(06:40):
being silly or just not thinking this through. And someone
dropped this gem on us when we were talking about
parlay bets the other day, so you could do it
parlay of just the one o'clock games, okay, and see
how you do with that, and then you do your
second parlay of all the later games, so that if you,
you know, do well with the one o'clock games, you
(07:02):
could you know, parlay that in the later games.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Nine o'clock game opportunity to lose your money.
Speaker 4 (07:10):
Ye o'clock games. Okay, So in eight way we.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Got we got it, well, we got one nine o'clock game.
You already missed the Thursday game, you know.
Speaker 5 (07:19):
Okay, I feel like I could pull this one off
pretty easily. Like, uh, let's see Vikings Browns going Viking
Vikings forty.
Speaker 4 (07:26):
Nine Ers Rams Rams. I'm picking the Cowboys of.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
You already lost, you already lost one live, you already games,
well I would have lost, okay.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
But the rest of these feel pickable, like the.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
Giants are going to be Saints are terrible right now?
Speaker 1 (07:45):
Yeah, and Giants have that new quarterback that I.
Speaker 5 (07:48):
Think the hardest game to pick will be Raiders Cults,
Like I really don't know Raiders.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
Who do you got in the Cowboys? Jets?
Speaker 4 (07:55):
Cowboys?
Speaker 3 (07:56):
Do you yea?
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (07:58):
Look at you what Dolphins in the in the I.
Speaker 4 (08:02):
Think the Dolphins can beat the Panthers.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
The Panthers, how about Broncos Eagles?
Speaker 5 (08:05):
Broncos Eagles, Eagles all day?
Speaker 3 (08:08):
So all right, so those are all the one o'clock
games r us and then the four o'clock four o'clock games, Uh,
Titans and Cardinals. That's a four or five Buccaneers and Seahawks,
Lions and Bengals, the Commodorees versus the Chargers, and then
the late game on Sunday is gonna be Patriots.
Speaker 4 (08:26):
Bills that one.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Let's said Ambernova pick when Amber who he thinks they're
winning between the Oilers and the and the who?
Speaker 1 (08:34):
The Oilers playing the Jazz the Jazz. Who's gonna win
between the Oilers and the Jazz?
Speaker 6 (08:39):
Okay, I, I think he just made up two names,
two football names.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
No, he didn't make up to two football names.
Speaker 6 (08:45):
The Oilers and the Jazz.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
I don't think those are sports team.
Speaker 4 (08:50):
No they're not. Ryan, they won one hundred percent our
sports team.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Yeah they really are.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
Are you kidding me?
Speaker 4 (08:56):
Gingel? They are resting Angel, They are sports teams. They
know they're not. Almost had me though at the very end.
Speaker 3 (09:07):
All Right, So we got Patriots and Bills, and Ryan,
who is a Patriots fan already the Bills, see Russ,
That's why I don't bet on my team. So I
don't never want to be put in that predicament. Look
at the what kind of fan that is?
Speaker 1 (09:18):
Yeah? So you picked the Bills, a realistic one. Yeah,
the Bills are going to be.
Speaker 4 (09:22):
The Patriots for sure easily.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
Yes, Yeah, the Bills are tough man, really good.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Hope the Patriots win.
Speaker 4 (09:28):
They're not good and we're not terrible this year.
Speaker 5 (09:31):
I mean we're two and two right now, but it's
we're not as bad as we have been in the
last two years. But the Bills are four to oh
that they're very strong team, very well put together, the
quarterbacks amazing.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Now this is whose old man Rogers playing. We're off.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
We were in Europelus week, okay, and then Monday night
football game. This is an intriguing matchup. And the reason
this is an intriguing matchup first is that it involves.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
This team, jackson bill the community dude Ball.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
They're They're going up against the Kansas City Chiefs. The
teams are two and two Jacksonville Jaguars currently find themselves
at three and one.
Speaker 6 (10:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
Good.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
Even though they're there, their coach sounds a little pretty tooty.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
So that games. That's the money in that game. And
who you got on that one?
Speaker 2 (10:24):
Ryan?
Speaker 4 (10:25):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (10:26):
I mean the smart money says the Chiefs right like
Jack Jacksonville is.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
They're punching about their weight classes.
Speaker 4 (10:34):
They really are. Who have they played so far? I'm
just trying to think about it.
Speaker 5 (10:37):
They played, They played the Bengals, lost to the Bengals,
beat the Panthers. Everybody's beating the Panthers right now in
the Texans, So yeah, they're they're they're.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
So far they haven't played. This will be the first
real team that they're playing.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Kelsey's a little distracted, you know, he's playing in a wedding.
He's got things going on.
Speaker 5 (10:52):
Taylor just dropped her new album, so she's busy with
that so he can focus on football.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Actually listened on the way in. I listened to some
of her new album.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Did you That's Adorable?
Speaker 4 (11:02):
After you called your boyfriend?
Speaker 1 (11:04):
Right after I called my boyfriend?
Speaker 3 (11:06):
And then we got w A b A Finals starting tonight.
Game one.
Speaker 5 (11:13):
Voted worst Kids toy ever by the way.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Right, w A A Finals game one tonight, Mercury versus
the Aces. That's an eight o'clock start us. That's a
bunch baga.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
So that's a w n B A right, w n
B A sir. All right, we let's see what happened.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
I got this tracted.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
Let's see it. Let's uh, let's see.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
The Mercury and Vegas.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
Yeah, I guess I'm gonna go with Las Vegas Hex
Mercury versus the last uh Las Vegas Aces.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, because I like, uh the who's the
Asian Wilson.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
Asian Wilson. Yeah, she's she's pretty good. She's the best
player in the entire league. So all right, take a
little break. We got I got more little sports latest
uff kind of when we come back. Don't go anywhere.
You're listening to the March of the Morning. Yeah, get
(12:15):
your tickets for the Brew of Us. There's only twenty
twenty or so left.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
It's got a real radio.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
Dot FM slash brew. That's real radio, dot FM slash brew.
To get your tickets, and remember coming up at nine
o'clock a chance to win one thousand dollars. You'll hear
a keyword and do you text the keyword or do
you forget it?
Speaker 3 (12:33):
Rest you go to real radio dot FM and then
you enter the keyword.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
You were there.
Speaker 3 (12:37):
Okay, you've already had one winner. Shout out to the
news JOCKEYE they got that first winner, and yeah, first
keyword comes up at the top of the hour.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
All right, we got one at nine, one at ten,
So good luck. I'd love to see you when a
thousand dollars. So I have come I don't say full circle,
but I've softened. Let's say I've softened my opinion on
the Super Bowl halftime show and the reason why I
chance to think about it, and I remembered this, I
really like. I've seen a couple of shows with pit Bull,
(13:06):
and I really like pit Bull, and I know that
he's seeing some stuff in English, but he also sings
some stuff a Spanish and I don't know what the
hell he's saying. But I really like his performance and
I really enjoy him. And I've never seen bad Bunny,
but I'm interested to see what he's got, Like he's
he was one of the biggest stars in the world.
So uh, I think I've I've lessened my you know, like,
because at first I was like, oh, man, I'm not
(13:27):
gonna and I'm not gonna know any of this.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
I'm not gonna enjoy it, but.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
Maybe I will enjoy it, right, Like I like pit
Bull and I didn't know what he was doing.
Speaker 3 (13:34):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
And now Bad Bunny will be on Saturday Night Live tomorrow. Obviously,
now it's become a and it's gonna probably even get worse.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
Uh, it's become a.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Big political political it's been polital sized.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (13:46):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
They're saying that they're gonna have ice agents, you know, uh,
you know at the super Bowl or whatever, and you
try to make it into a thing, which makes it
so I think because now people are leaning into the
hateful part of it. Like, like than a lot of
hate towards Bad Bunny, I realize he does not deserve
that at all. He's just doing it. He's just doing
his business. Man, He's just doing Bad Bunny business. He's
(14:07):
just doing what he does. Doesn't deserve all the hate
that people are given who are are like, oh, it's
our super Bowl and it's our halftime and we like,
we don't have a god given right to a halftime show.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
And and I don't know.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
So I'm actually now interested to see his halftime show
and see what he's gonna do. And I'm interested at
tomorrow night on Saturday Night Live, which I always love
Saturday Night Live. I know some people like, oh it,
it's not funny anymore, it's hit and miss.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
I mean there are times that it's funny.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
Time there's not brand new cast they'll have on Saturday Night.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
I lost a lot of people this year.
Speaker 1 (14:38):
There was I think there's four or five that they
got rid of it.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
Thought it was five.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
Heidi Gardner is the only one that I that I
think I'll miss. I really liked her. I thought she
was pretty funny. The other ones are not that.
Speaker 1 (14:49):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (14:49):
They didn't really make an impact to me. But yeah,
I'm curious. Is Cam Patterson's gonna be on it this year?
Cam Patti is that.
Speaker 5 (15:02):
Cam Patterson local comedian that like went to kill Tony
got huge, and now he's.
Speaker 4 (15:06):
Gonna be on Saturday Night Live.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
Like I never met him.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
I don't know we've that's Saturday.
Speaker 1 (15:13):
Am I crazy?
Speaker 4 (15:14):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (15:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (15:14):
No, Cam is a local guy.
Speaker 5 (15:16):
He started doing open marks here in Orlando and then
he traveled over and moved over to Austin to go
to be a part of that comedy scene for a
little bit, and he got on Kill Tony blew up,
went super viral, and then now he's doing a Kevin
Hart movie.
Speaker 4 (15:30):
He's gonna be on Saturday Night Live. Cam Patterson, Cam Patterson.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
What would I know him from? Have they seen him anything?
Speaker 4 (15:35):
You're gonna see him on Saturday Live this Saturday.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
But before I haven't seen him anything.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
No, they signed him just off of his buzz from
kill Tony.
Speaker 5 (15:42):
Basically, that's pretty cool. Yeah, that's very cool. So I'm excited.
I hope they use him in this first episode.
Speaker 4 (15:49):
That's good.
Speaker 5 (15:49):
I don't know, like you said, Saturday Live has always
been hit or missed. People have been saying Saturday Night
Live is not funny for the last fifty years.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
Yeah, right, exactly.
Speaker 5 (15:57):
So I've watched a lot of Saturday Live my time.
It's obviously had his better cast than others.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
So I think is their first the first time back
after the big Jimmy Kimmel thing and you know, you know,
saying making jokes about the president and they taking your
FCC license and all that stuff. Obviously they have to
address that, right like that. That's Saturday Night Live.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
That's what they do.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (16:21):
I think one of the bigger, Like, I don't know
what's going on with that show anymore because Lorden Michaels,
from what I read about him lately, he's kind of
weird dude about all this. And I think them having
Trump on at all in the first time was like
kind of ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
And but.
Speaker 5 (16:35):
I don't know, I don't know if they have anything
left to say at this point. Saturd Night Live used
to be edgy. I'll give it that, it's maybe not
be funny. I still think it's funny, but it's not
edgy anymore.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
I would disagree they go at him pretty hard.
Speaker 5 (16:47):
I don't mean like in a political sense. I just
mean in a comedy sense. They've been playing safe and
kind of like boring for a very long time.
Speaker 6 (16:53):
I kind of agree with what Ryan says. Yeah, they're
not as risky and fun as they used to be.
But even like you know, Kamala Harrison, I'll there and
she had fun and she made fun of herself, and
it was it was nice to see that that, you know,
even the presidents or people running in politics can go
on there and make jokes about themselves.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
It's still fun.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
Yeah. We'll see though.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
So do you think Bad Bunny will address any of
the controversy angel.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
No, no, the just ignore it.
Speaker 3 (17:16):
Yeah, he'll do his thing, no ice jokes, if there's
I mean, I'm sure they will.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
I think so.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
Yeah, but that's I mean, they would. I think they
would have done that regardless though, whether he would have
been hosting or not.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
Probably yeah, yeah, yeah, But I mean with him there,
I mean, obviously it's a it's a big thing in
the news this week. This is a big, big time
to have him on, you know, for this uh this week,
this is his week. A lot of controversy about him.
Uh and uh, you know, there are a lot of
people upset, you know that he's going to be a
halftime show. But but uh yeah, I realized that I like,
(17:49):
I like mister worldwide is the name Pitt Bull. I
was like watching him and I can't understand what he's saying.
But he's a great performer, so and I haven't really
seen Bad Bunny perform.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
So he should he like. At the at the end
of his run of his residency in Puerto Rico last
weekend weekend before last, he did the The Show live
for Amazon and Amazon said of streaming record numbers of
his show, So, yeah, it's going to be it'll be epic.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
Uh, there are people saying that once again, and people
want to get on on him. I guess he said
he's never going to perform in America again. Did he
say that. I don't know if he did, but I
know he didn't want to. He didn't want to have
a tour here because he was afraid that.
Speaker 3 (18:30):
You know, they did even in his residency in PR
they had ICE agents show up, so that like that,
it's not new in Puerto Rico. Yeah, in Puerto Rico
they had ICE agents show up at his show.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
Yeah, and you're you're right. I was listening to some
stuff angel and you're right. Uh, And it looks I'm not.
I'm not saying I'm any better because I didn't know
until I met you. With a lot of people don't
realize that he's Puerto Rican and he's he has American
citizenship like that. They've had to address that with a
lot of people and explain to him, yeah, he's Puerto Rican,
he has American, he's an Americans.
Speaker 3 (18:59):
Twenty two five people still we're having that discussion. Then
people don't understand that because of Puerto Rico's commonwealth status. Yeah,
they're Americans. Yeah, and so they and this is something
that like I've lived with my whole entire life.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
So well, maybe this, you know, it seems unfortunate, but
maybe it will change. A lot of people are gonna
know that they didn't know.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
I don't so what they'll do, because I'm seeing it
on social media. They just pivot, you know. It's uh,
you know, he's okay, he's an American, but he's not
our American you know.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
I haven't seen that. Yeah, that's pretty meant. I don't know.
Speaker 5 (19:34):
I'm just glad they didn't pick somebody from Guam barely
American heart.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
Take Gwam's Uh are they American as well? Yeah, if
you're from Guam, Okayrgi Islands.
Speaker 5 (19:48):
We have a bunch darritors, Guam, Puerto Rico, the US
Virgin Islands.
Speaker 4 (19:52):
Uh, there's the North Mariana Islands.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
That's about it.
Speaker 4 (19:57):
I think I think those are all overseas.
Speaker 1 (19:59):
Yeah, I didn't.
Speaker 5 (20:00):
I only know Guam because my dad was stationed in
Guam for a long time in the Korean War, and
he has fond memories of Guam.
Speaker 4 (20:07):
And I watched this YouTube video about Guam the other day.
Speaker 5 (20:10):
And U and Guam looks like it's crazy because it's
it's an island.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
It's all the way over on the other side of
the planet.
Speaker 5 (20:18):
But all of their street signs, everything, that's all us
because they follow the Department of Transportation.
Speaker 4 (20:24):
So it all just looks like America.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
So weird.
Speaker 4 (20:28):
I want to go to Guam.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
Guam just.
Speaker 4 (20:33):
Not a lot of Guamanian artists out there.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
A Guamanian, Gmanian, I'm a Guamanian. Yeah, what do they speak?
Speaker 4 (20:41):
They speak English? I mean I bet, I'm sure they
have their own language.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
Uh, Puerto Rico.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
They don't speak English all the time. Right in Puerto
rican it's Spanish, right, Spanish is.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
The prime language. But as time has gone on, that's
English is very prevalent. We teach English, right, Like.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
I asked a dumb question when I said, what are
they speaking Guam? I mean, it's possible they speak something else.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
And then in Portocal they teach English and the schools
and everything, so and we do the Pledge of Allegiance
as well.
Speaker 5 (21:13):
The whole thing official language of Guam is English, Okay,
But then there's the native people there speak.
Speaker 4 (21:24):
No, it's actually Guam. No, it's Chamorrow.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
Chamorrow, Okay, I says as weird as it like Gwames,
I never heard of Tomorrow?
Speaker 1 (21:32):
Sounds like I never heard of it? Have you heard
of it? Amber?
Speaker 6 (21:40):
What I was like?
Speaker 4 (21:44):
What are we doing now?
Speaker 1 (21:46):
Don't go anywhere you're listening to much of the morning
I'm making eggs.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
Don't such complicating?
Speaker 1 (22:08):
Complicated, complicated.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
Today's reason one of the day's spot. Do you might
just call Mo Orlando's injury attorneys. What are you looking
for the best in new music like today? Or a
deep cut? You know, I got you covered. And when
you're out and about anywhere in Sandral, Florida, and you
happen to be in an accident, remember if you're injured
on the go, just call Mo's team is always ready
to assist you. New band to me, they are called
(22:35):
VOUE v E a U x VOUE. They just dropped
a DP today and this is the title track off
of that. It's called Complicator.
Speaker 2 (22:46):
Much each complicated, complicated, complicated. Hey, while you're playing new
music to that's Taylor Swift album dropped last night. So
(23:06):
I'm figuring I you know, listen to it on the
way and it's Taylor Swith. I mean, you know, like
I don't dislike. It's not my jam. It's not what
I would listen.
Speaker 1 (23:14):
To, you know, all the time.
Speaker 2 (23:15):
But it's a Taylor Swift song and it's her with
a Sabrina Carpenter and you know it's good. If you
like Taylor Swift, it's obviously gonna make it may probably
break a lot of records. We'll find out a little
bit in the ones and twos where it ends up.
It'll probably I'm sure most of the album will be
you know, up there, but we'll find out here in
a little bit. But welcome back to the Monsters of
the Morning. We're Radio one O four point one. I'm
(23:37):
Russ Rolands one with Ambernova, Angel and Ryan All here today. Boy,
am I relieved. I read an article that that made
me happy. I'm very relieved. Ryan, Okay, new study it's
the Journal of Intelligence, is what it's called. A new
study by the Journal of Intelligence. Found out that you
got No, I don't get it. I just read this article.
(23:58):
It says older and white or has a ceiling. The
human mind peaks at sixty years old. So I'm at
my peak, I don't have to worry about learning nothing else,
ain't it ain't getting no better from here.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
I am at my peak.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
At sixty years old is when you're gonna have every
everything you need to know, you're gonna know, and after
that you're just kind of you're just kind.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Of you know.
Speaker 4 (24:23):
Okay, wait, and it's good. It's good you got that
in because you just learned about Guam.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
I just you had to look up what Guam spoke.
So don't act like you knew everything. Yeah, when I
was correct, and then you had to work it up,
and then you didn't know the other language they spoke.
Speaker 5 (24:38):
I don't know the other language. For all the places,
English is the main language.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
I don't try to pretend to be smart like you do.
And I'm at sixty and I'm at my my human peak,
so I don't have to.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
Worry something to be proud of.
Speaker 1 (24:51):
I'm proud, powney.
Speaker 4 (24:53):
That's because a lot to learn out there, buddy.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
I'm at sixty, I'm at my peak. No need even
I'm done. I'm so relieved.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
Little more learning.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
I don't have to try, don't need to know if has.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
Buildings, don't don't need to know. I would think Guam
has a lot of huts. It sounds like a hot town.
Speaker 4 (25:08):
Oh, my goodness, sounds like it.
Speaker 1 (25:09):
What does Wam look like?
Speaker 4 (25:12):
I'll say a picture of I don't care about Guam.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
I care about my peak. I cared about Wam, not
even we're not talking about Guam. That that was the
old topic. This new topic is uh.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
Now you still have room to learn, it says here Ryan,
at your age, you still have room to learn.
Speaker 4 (25:29):
Okay, you have several years that you trying to learn
all the time.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
You can get your your peak intelligence.
Speaker 4 (25:34):
I just got a library card again. I started reading again.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
But it says this is after decades of studying of
psychological studies said that the human mind is at its
peak when it's sixty, and then from sixty it starts
going downhill.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
So so I'm as smart as I'm gonna be today
today right now.
Speaker 2 (25:56):
Well, my birthday hits in February, I'm gonna start losing.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
It's a little bit, a little degrades a little bit
every year after that. So I'm so good. It's like, uh,
I feel I feel relieved.
Speaker 4 (26:11):
You don't have to learn anymore.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
You have to learn anymore?
Speaker 4 (26:14):
An interesting way to look at.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
It makes no sense now.
Speaker 2 (26:17):
It says as I get older, there is something that
does start getting better. What do you think starts getting
better for your brain as you get older, older than sixty?
Speaker 4 (26:30):
Uh, you care less, happier.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
It could be true and not if it didn't say
that here.
Speaker 4 (26:36):
Okay, because you're happier done learning apparently, Yes.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
I'm so happy.
Speaker 2 (26:40):
I don't worry about trying to like, you know, I
thought about maybe they're picking up one of those Resetta
stones and maybe learn another language, and then no sense
in it. I'm at my I'm at my peak right now. Okay,
can't I can't learn that after this, so no pressure.
Speaker 4 (26:55):
Uh, you're you're financially good, so you don't think about money.
Speaker 2 (26:59):
You know what it says, he is that that Uh okay,
financial literacy is something that gets better after sixty.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
You're right about that. That is one of the things
that says.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
And it says you're moral reasoning gets better after sixty.
Speaker 5 (27:14):
Yet disagree. You think I've seen a lot of Facebook
comments over the years.
Speaker 4 (27:18):
Yeah, it doesn't seem like that better.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
Yeah, there's that sentence that you just read, and there's
the reality of what social media says.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
Yeah, you're right. People that are over sixty do seem
to not given flip.
Speaker 4 (27:30):
Yeah, I agree all the time. And then I don't know,
they have all the stuff and they don't. Maybe that's
what it is.
Speaker 5 (27:36):
They got all the stuff and they're afraid people are
coming for their stuff, so they freak out about it.
Speaker 2 (27:40):
Older and wiser has a ceiling. The human mind peaks
at sixty years old.
Speaker 4 (27:44):
It says, that's good that we only we only all
of our leaders are under.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
Sixty, right, No, no, no, no, they're over sixty. Huh.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
So when you so, when they say you're at your
your mental peak, does that mean like as far as
as the knowledge that you retain, the things that you
that you can learn.
Speaker 1 (28:06):
What do you think that means?
Speaker 6 (28:07):
I think you're just you're you're going downhill from there.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
You're probably not gonna get any smarter.
Speaker 6 (28:14):
Like maybe I don't know, Yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
Maybe that's what they mean by it.
Speaker 6 (28:18):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
I wouldn't think that that's your your peak.
Speaker 6 (28:22):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (28:22):
For Amber was fourteen, I would think like forty five.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
Yeah, that's what this is what this study says.
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Though.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
It says that they studied twenty thousand people and they
all seem to be at their their intelligence peak at
sixty and then it starts to go downhill after that.
Speaker 5 (28:39):
Well that's good news because I constantly feel like I'm
like losing my mental cognitive take can and say things
now like cognitive ability.
Speaker 4 (28:48):
Every single day. So good, I gotta, I got.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
I got a while still he knew how they have
those commercials for I forget the name of it, predigen
or something like that, which to help your mental capacity.
And they'll and I'll show these older guys like I've
been taking this for ten years and my mental uh uh,
mental pilty is right up.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
That's all like hogwash, right like those.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
Yeah, those stuff, those things are are placebo pills. Is
has there ever been proof that they have pills that
help your your thought process?
Speaker 1 (29:22):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (29:22):
Oh yeah, Like I saw I saw this study.
Speaker 5 (29:26):
It was like, you know, how you can only use
like like ten percent of the brain that they say
they make they make this pill that like uh And
then I saw the guy take it and then suddenly
he could like learn really fast, and then he became
like kind of a super genius.
Speaker 4 (29:39):
I think his name was like Bradley and uh, you're
quoting this from that movie. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (29:45):
I don't remember the name of it, but it's documentary.
Yeah he had he had limits and then he didn't
have limits anymore.
Speaker 4 (29:50):
Yeah, limitless or something. Yeah, that was a movie. It's
not real.
Speaker 6 (29:54):
But if you take magnesium, that's actually be really good.
Speaker 4 (29:57):
Why would I take the villain from X Men as
a pill? That's crazy.
Speaker 1 (30:00):
They do.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
They sell, they sell pills that allegedly, oh, it's gonna
make your brain function better and all this kind of stuff.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
But yeah, that's all. That's all they real.
Speaker 2 (30:12):
Right.
Speaker 6 (30:12):
You know what's funny is anything could come out on
the market. I feel like, like some new injection, some
new fast pills, some new cut weight, some new whatever
you do, it's just gonna make you really smart. And
Russe will be like, yeah, shoot me up with it,
like he'll try it's all for it.
Speaker 1 (30:26):
Yeah yeah. But for some reason, the brain pills I
don't think work. I'm not even doing.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
But you believe all the other ones, the other ones.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
Yeah, but if the brain pills, I'm like, Okay, you
guys are trying to foolish.
Speaker 3 (30:38):
I would say, like, obviously, anything over the counter is
probably bogus. You know, but anything that maybe have if
there's any product that does what they like, that helps
you with your memory and all that kind of stuff
or brain capacity or whatnot, and it's got that FDA approval,
that would be interesting.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
That would be None of them have an FDA approval. No, yeah, no,
no no. And they have commercials they show these old
guys like, man.
Speaker 2 (31:02):
I've been taking Predators and I think I think that's
the namail, but I can't remember it started with a
p but I've been taking this for ten years and man,
I'm sharper than I've ever been.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
And it's like, man, so you're trying to.
Speaker 2 (31:10):
Make old people believe if they take these pills they
won't have you know.
Speaker 1 (31:15):
Yeah, fretfulness a little bit. Yeah, and uh, I don't
know that exactly.
Speaker 3 (31:22):
You can't be shocked at there's we could go decade
by decade, year by year, and there's tons of products
that are commercials and stuff like that that don't have
FDA approval that make all these wild ass claims.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
I know.
Speaker 6 (31:33):
Yeah, side effects, you know, all the side effects that
could come with it.
Speaker 1 (31:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (31:37):
Oh, you can just take healthy vitamins like magnesium and
a daily multi vitamin and things like that.
Speaker 5 (31:41):
There have been plenty of studies that show like your
brain is definitely like if you don't use it, you
lose it kind of situation. And that's why, like a
lot of older people they do the shaduku and the
crosswords and things like that, and you got it in
reading well because your brain still has a level of
plasticity to it for a very long time.
Speaker 4 (31:57):
But a lot of people just give up, you know,
they're like I would school, I'm good, turn brain off.
Watch TV and you'll see those people mental decline fast.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
Oh that's what I'm gonna do. You give it up?
Speaker 2 (32:07):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (32:08):
Netflix shows a day?
Speaker 6 (32:10):
Yeah no, no, no, listen, you watch a lot of TV,
and I would think you wouldn't have the time.
Speaker 4 (32:14):
Not really.
Speaker 1 (32:16):
I watched one movie yesterday, but I think you watch
a movie a day.
Speaker 6 (32:20):
Could you always come in and talk about something new
you've seen and I'm like, I haven't heard of that
one yet.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
Yeah, I've got pressure to have a topic every day,
So I got to learn something. I got to find
something that's pop culture to talk about. So that that's
why I do all that. But I'd rather just go
boating probably most of the time. Oh, man, I can't
go boating this weekend because the weather's going to suck. Anyway.
I digress that.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
Company that you're talking about. It's a long and distinguished
list of lawsuits that have been brought against them Away Prevagen, Provagen,
ev A, g E N, and the Federal Trade Commission
has been on them, the State Attorney's office from New
York City, there's a And basically it'd be interesting because
(33:01):
they so they've had to change the word. So their
punishment outside of whatever, finds that they've been whatever, They've
had to pay fines, right, their punishment is that that
they've had to change their word. And that's what it
all comes down to. He's the wording of this, and
then I'm sure there's a cool little disclaimer that says like, hey,
just because we have this guy talking about it, not
everyone has the same.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
This doesn't affect everybody the same, you know.
Speaker 1 (33:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
I noticed in the last commercial it was this dude
and he was like, Man, I've been taking prevision or
whatever for ten years now. I haven't lost any And
they have a little thing underneath. This is an actual
client and these are just his results. And I wonder
why they had to put that.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
But yeah, oh dude, is there's a ton of class
action lawsuits.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
Think about it.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
For the company again, for a company like that, all
these lawsuits and they had it hasn't pulled that. They
haven't stopped selling their and selling their stuff on TV. No,
and the commercial are still.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
Running because people will watch it like, oh my god,
I'm losing I'm losing memory.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
Let me take that pill, says it will help. Let
me take that.
Speaker 3 (33:58):
I forgot that.
Speaker 1 (33:59):
They ordered it already, Yeah, I forgot I ordered it,
so I ordered it four times.
Speaker 4 (34:02):
Is that the one that's like made out of jellyfish?
Speaker 1 (34:05):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (34:06):
I think that the main ingredients like jellyfish or something nonsense.
But back in like twenty twenty four, Like so as
of December twenty twenty four, they can't market it as
an improving brain function or memory at all.
Speaker 4 (34:18):
Yeah, so I don't know.
Speaker 1 (34:20):
That's the one. That's the one. I didn't believe.
Speaker 5 (34:23):
We've talked about this over time, like you like we're
a big dumb fun here. Yep, big dumb fun I've
constantly said this, I said, I I don't I think
being smart is a burden. If you could dumb me
down a couple levels. Then I probably would be happier
if they gave you the limitless pill. If the previdence
did work, would you take it?
Speaker 2 (34:42):
I'm happy, man, Yeah, I don't do. I care if
I knew what the language they spoke in Guam.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
No, I don't care. What does the matter. You told me,
and now I know.
Speaker 6 (34:53):
You know what was it?
Speaker 1 (34:55):
It's English and then some other Guames or something English? Yeah, whatever,
all right? And they and they don't have huts.
Speaker 4 (35:02):
They don't.
Speaker 1 (35:03):
There's not one hut in Guam.
Speaker 4 (35:04):
I'm we have huts here. I guess if you want
to use that logic, because you can't say that's.
Speaker 5 (35:08):
Not one hut in Florida. Well, but Guam is is
a fully industrialized island. I mean, like this is Guam.
Speaker 1 (35:16):
Oh look at that?
Speaker 4 (35:17):
Yeah, oh well it looks.
Speaker 1 (35:19):
Okay, it looks like Jamaica a little bit. It looks
like it looks like the Bahamas.
Speaker 3 (35:23):
Well, because it's an island, yeah, it's it's not a.
Speaker 2 (35:26):
Full on city city. It's like a Okay, it looks
pretty though. I'd visit there, and it looks pretty.
Speaker 6 (35:32):
He thought they lived in huts.
Speaker 4 (35:33):
He thinks a lot of people live in huts.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
Any there are huts in the world, just so you
guys know, people have huts.
Speaker 4 (35:40):
Yeah, people do have huts.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
So okay, knowing that.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
Your your your mental peak is at sixty years old,
does it make you want to learn more things quicker
before sixty. Yeah, you can shove it all in there quicker,
you know, and realize that Okay at sixty I'm going
I'm going downhill after that.
Speaker 1 (35:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (35:57):
This is the longest time period of time in my
life where I have not learned a new skill over
the last like four years or so, just with getting
the house, getting married, getting all the other stuff done, Like,
I haven't really had time to sit down and like
learn something new. But I I always for my entire life,
I love learning.
Speaker 2 (36:12):
Like you know, there are older people that learn new things,
you know, learn how to play guitar or learn how
to do learn.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
New things after sixty. So I mean.
Speaker 3 (36:21):
You can still I think when they're saying when they're
saying that you're at your peak, I think that's what
like the execution of stuff, recall stuff and everything. You
can still learn stuff and still be uh okay, you know,
make yourself acclimated to things.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
And all that.
Speaker 3 (36:35):
But I'm saying I think what they mean is that
the way that your thought processes, uh, you know, going
through the rolodex, and I'm pulling up memories that I'm.
Speaker 1 (36:43):
The strongest I'm ever gonna be my brain. I don't know.
It all just makes me happy. I don't know why
you feel like there's no pressure now.
Speaker 4 (36:55):
That is so weird that you read it.
Speaker 5 (36:57):
And that's your takeaway, like, don't have to try it
more sixty dude, as good as I'm gonna.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
Get, baby, And then so what I don't know. I
don't know what. I don't know it and.
Speaker 4 (37:06):
Don't need to know it, and you know what, never
have to learn it now. Book told me.
Speaker 2 (37:09):
Yeah, I'll just ask Ryan if I don't know it,
i'nderstand Ryan, what's going on here?
Speaker 4 (37:13):
In That makes me the smartest person in this room.
Speaker 1 (37:16):
Hey, Ryan, what are they speaking Tahiti? Because I don't
know Taitian.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
That's what I would have said, Oh you don't know, dude,
you're looking it up. What are they speaking to Heiti?
Speaker 4 (37:26):
I speak?
Speaker 5 (37:27):
Well, if you had to guess, what do you think
it would be? I said, Tahitian. I'm correct.
Speaker 4 (37:31):
By the way, is it Tahitian. Tahitian's one of the languages,
but the official language is Oh.
Speaker 1 (37:35):
I was gonna say, I was gonna say, what's that duck?
Speaker 4 (37:39):
What is that duck?
Speaker 1 (37:40):
The duck they speak in China?
Speaker 4 (37:44):
Are you saying, pe king?
Speaker 1 (37:45):
No, what's the other one? What's that duck they speak
in China?
Speaker 2 (37:49):
Mandarin that they speak in China, and then said, man,
is a Mandarin duck?
Speaker 4 (37:58):
What orange?
Speaker 2 (38:01):
I thought, there's a Mandarin duck. Oh, that's the Mandarin
or orange Mandarin chicken. Yeah, it's a duck.
Speaker 1 (38:08):
What is that the food?
Speaker 4 (38:10):
The food god? This man said, what is that duck?
They speak in China?
Speaker 6 (38:15):
What isn't that coffee cup?
Speaker 4 (38:16):
The small Because you are don't need to learn anything else, okay,
no need?
Speaker 1 (38:21):
When are they speaking? That's eaty?
Speaker 4 (38:23):
I just found the name for today's show. By the way,
on YouTube. They speak French for us. It's French. It's
a French columnst.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
I'll be damn didn't know that either. Oh yeah, made
it to sixty. Didn't know it, didn't need it. I
don't forget it.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
Now. In to heat they speak French.
Speaker 4 (38:39):
Yeah, that's the French and Tahitian.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
There you go.
Speaker 3 (38:43):
They were once a property of France.
Speaker 4 (38:45):
Do they eat that duck though, I don't know if
they have ducks in Tahaiti.
Speaker 1 (38:49):
Okay, just wondering. All right, we'll take it back, we'll
come back.
Speaker 2 (38:51):
It'd be the ones and twos, the number one and
number two song and all the land, so we know
what's hot.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
Don't go anywhere. You're listening to the match of the morning.
