Speaker 1 (00:12):
You are listening to the Monsters in the morning on
Real Radio one oh four point one broadcasting live on iHeartRadio,
live on your iHeartRadio app. Please make us the number
one pre set on the iHeartRadio app. That makes everybody geet,
you know, giddy around here. They love that for some reason.
It makes them think that we're special if you make
us the number one pre set, So please do that.

(00:32):
I appreciate it. And remember you can leave us a
message right now. You can click on that little microphone,
leave us a message, and we'll play those messages next
hour and you can hear yourself on the radio, which
is always a lot of fun. What's up? I'm Russ
Rollins along with angel or Vera and Ryan Holmes, and
now let's talk to Detective Barb, who is calling us
live from Washington, d C. Hello, Detective Barb. How's the

(00:52):
weather up there?

Speaker 2 (00:54):
Miserable? It's cold and a I didn't talk right, but
it's cold and it's raining all day long. We'll survive.
I got to be in meetings, so it doesn't matter.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
Okay. How was travel, because you know this day out
was yesterday was like one of those busy travel days.
Was it bad.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Well, let me just start with when I when I
got there to check in, there was not a single
person at the counter to check people in. I don't
know where they were. It took them fifteen minutes to
show up for that, we were a little delayed. But
you know what, I feel bad for those people. I
would not want to work through those holidays with how
ugly travelers can be, right exactly, Yeah, people get all

(01:32):
cranky and mad.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
How did you do yesterday with Christmas trees?

Speaker 2 (01:38):
We sold some trees, we got somewhere to sell. Let's
get this done by Friday.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
That's my goal.

Speaker 2 (01:44):
So here's the deal. All four feters or fifty dollars,
which is discounted every tree we're going to start taking.
We're going to take fifteen percent off of every other
tree sold this afternoon, starting at three. So if you
want to you want to discount a tree, you better come.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
This week, okay, starting at fifty dollars, and then you're
gonna give fifteen percent off every other tree sold. Yep. Wow,
that's a that's a moving scale. I like that. And
you've got somebody there that's ready to, you know, sell
the trees for you.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
They'll be there at three o'clock from three to seven
again tonight, So it's fifteen percent off everything, but the
four footers and the fourth footers are going to be
right at fifty dollars unless it's wonky, and then they'll
probably be a discount on a wonky tree.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
You just want to get them out of there because
you got to pay for the space that they're at now.
So this is all a fundraiser for Crimeline, by the way,
to help them pay administrative fees and stuff that they
need to keep everything going. To help get bad guys
off the street. That helps the entire community. So if
you're going to get a tree, you know, instead of
going to a box store, you know, you might as
well you might as well get up a detective bar

(02:50):
because I mean, you're going to save money and you're
helping out the community.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
That's absolutely right. And one last thing I want to
talk to you about is yesterday with Cyber Day Black Friday,
we all have packages coming. Please do everything you can
for when your delivery comes to at least get it
off the front step or hide it behind a plant.
You can give directions to every one of those delivery

(03:14):
people where to put that package for you. It might
help you not lose a package. Will it sits out there,
you know, while you're at work all day or something
like that. But I see on my neighborhood app right
now people are already stealing packages. We have a five
hundred dollars reward for any information that identifies a porch pirate.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Yeah, you know, I wish there was a better name
that a porch pirate kind of makes it sound sort
of that's a cool name. Yeah, porch pirate. It sounds
sort of sailing. We need it needs to sound worse
because it's really bad when people do that. That is
a really horrible thing to do. But you know what,
you would think that because everybody has a ring camera now,

(03:56):
it would be easy to catch those people. Detective borrowed.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
Some of these people are shame man. They don't even
care that they're getting caught on the ring camera.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
But the problem, many problems are start with the fact
that the victims don't report it. They just go back
to the cellar and say I didn't get my package.
Oh yeah, and the sellers are correcting it. I'm actually
in amazing Yeah, with a lot of those type of businesses.
International businesses. That's part of the meeting I'm in. But

(04:24):
that's one of the biggest issues that we face is
there's no report done to law enforcement where you will
then turn over your ring video to law enforcement and
they can see, well, this guy's hit ten houses. You know,
we need to start looking for him. Maybe we can
get a really good shot of him getting my deed.
So if you lose something like that, it's not it
doesn't take that much out of your life to do

(04:45):
a real quick police report and say I lost whatever whatever.
You know, the seller, I'll still work with you. However,
they're going to work with you. But we need to
know that the thefts are occurring in especially in what areas,
because they will trend. You know, they'll be over here
in a part of downtown Orlando Soto and then they'll
be up in College Park or something. So more information,

(05:07):
the more intelligence we gather from these reports, the better.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
And you take the bark we had reports just to
say there a lot of people are out at the malls.
I mean, even though I haven't been to a mall
in a while, there are a lot of people that
that doing a lot of shopping this weekend and everything
and that's something you've always reminded us about, is hey,
remember if you're going to you know, put your gifts
and stuff in the car, like put them in the
trunk and make sure you lock your car. Is the
stuff that people forget to do, right.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
Well, the other problem is, you know, and I'm an
appointed women, I don't want to carry my person there.
So they throw the damn perse on the seat and
walk off and lock the car. They think always okay, no,
you need to conceal even your packages. If you buy
so many packages, you got to go back in for
a second load. You need to conceal them somewhere, conceal

(05:51):
your purses and your other things inside. So it's a
not an easy look for the bad guy as he's
walking the parking lots to see what he wants to
steal today, Cause they're.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
People that prey on that, that they know that, Hey,
here's what i'm gonna do today. I'm gonna go to
the mall. I'm gonna go to the parking lot and
I'm gonna get what I can. Is that correct? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (06:09):
And most of them are not forced entries. Most of
them are. We didn't we didn't lock our car how.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Do you like How do you like this? Instead of
porch pirates porch punks. See, pirate is fun. Everybody wants
to be a pirate, you know, but a porch punk
porch punk. You know, I think that's not that that
demeans them a little bit. I don't know, just a thought.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
Okay, Well, porch pirate, unfortunately, is nationally become known, so
it's a little harder to change.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Well, yeah, you know whatever. Hey, have you ever played
pictionary on Netflix? Uh? Detective Barb Russ, you and your
son would love it. Okay, listen on Netflix. There's a
way for you to go and play games, which I've
never done this before. Detective Barb, you and your son
should play pictionary on Netflix. Next time you get a

(06:57):
chance instead of watching a dumb movie, play pictionary.

Speaker 2 (06:59):
You'll have a last Did you just call my Hallmark
movies dumb? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (07:04):
She's hallmarkless.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
She's a Hallmark fan, dude, your Hallmark for life, trying
to cut into her Hallmark time?

Speaker 4 (07:09):
Who else?

Speaker 1 (07:10):
My mom, my eighty four year old mother, she loves
those dudes. I'm telling you, you would love pictionary with
your boy. It's fun.

Speaker 5 (07:19):
I bet Barber's never played a video game.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
I bet she has, bar Have you ever played a
video game? Barb?

Speaker 2 (07:26):
What's that one with that gorilla jumping around?

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Donkey Kong?

Speaker 5 (07:29):
Donkey Kong? Oh long ago?

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Did you play Donkey Kong? You would love Rock it Up?
Rock it Up is good. That's another one. It's kind
of like Donkey Kong. It's just your little rocket goes up. Anyway,
all those are on Netflix. It's fun to play it
with your boys.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
If the sun shining, you know where we're at. We're
playing golf. You're playing golf on Christmas vacation in Colorado
this year. Maybe we'll look into that.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Yeah, yeah, if you're bored there you go. Just an idea. Okay,
all right, the tag the Barb from crime and calling
this from Washington, d C. Thank you, Barb. Go get
her trees. She needs. She needs the trees off the
line to save money for crime. Like almost don't get
them out of the starting at fifty bucks. She's gonna
give you discounts. Just go go grab them, please for
a detective Barb.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Thanks Barb, Thanks guys, have a good day.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
All right bye. She brought up a good point, Russ.
How would you punks?

Speaker 3 (08:20):
How would you address this instead of trying to I'll
go after the name package punks and stuff like that.

Speaker 1 (08:25):
A huge part of.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
This, a huge problem with this is that for a
lot of people who get stuff taken from their ports,
it's easier to call whoever it is, whatever the service is,
and they'll return it. And so the consumer doesn't take
that next step it does.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
Right now, if someone took a box of mind, I
would just hey, someone took my box. I wouldn't call
the police.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
So that's that's what I'm saying. So you're kind of
inadvertent conspicuously, we're contributing to it by not following through.
We're gonna sit back, we're gonna complain, We're gonna, you know,
every now and then we'll get a couple of videos
and will put them up. But a huge percentage across
the country people are not following through.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Here's what I would think. I would think the police
would not want to bother with me. You know, someone
took my you know, my my my fire pants I
just ordered it and someone stole them. I would I
would the package. But now that I know that, Detective
Barber says, they appreciate if you let them know that
someone is stealing because it helps the entire community. Now

(09:28):
now I feel empowered to call if because I know
the police want us to.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
Yeah, it helps, definitely helps build a case. Yeah you
know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (09:37):
Yeah, somebody took I don't have to tell him it
was my don't tell him that my fire is a
fire cross.

Speaker 6 (09:42):
They're not gonna They're gonna laugh at you. Uh and
good luck.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
Then they would order some themselves, is what they want.

Speaker 5 (09:49):
You're right, buddy, the fire pants, the tickle.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Tak. That's the last time I remember something to be
really hot.

Speaker 5 (09:59):
Kind of same, to be honest with you.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
Yeah, yeah, when has it been something? I remember people
fighting for? Damn tickle me Elmo doll. When was that though?
That was when we were on the radio, but it
was early, like like way back the other Building, back
bo was still on the show. It's like a thousand
years ago.

Speaker 6 (10:18):
Well, uh, I mean there's been a couple of things,
but not like with the Fervor that was a Yeah,
there's nothing hot this year?

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Is there nothing that's like the Loomus or what are
they called the Boos?

Speaker 5 (10:32):
The looms?

Speaker 1 (10:33):
What about those what about those uh those bare coffee
cups you can get from the Starbucks. Starbucks that does
that's still good. Last a couple of I don't want one.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
Now only it's hot.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
I only wanted if it's the popular thing?

Speaker 3 (10:50):
Was that genre of toy called now with the like, uh,
they've got a title for it where you don't know
exactly what you're getting. It's in you know that.

Speaker 6 (10:57):
They called gambling for children? Is really what it's called.
I don't I don't know.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
I forgot there was. I heard it the other day
in the wine box something like that.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
But it's it's like, literally, yeah, it's yeah, it's something
like that blind box.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
Home can remember it. Imagine you go to my house
and you steal a box and stuff and you go
home and you open up and somebody you got fire pants.
Jokes on you, buddy.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Especially in your town. It's gonna be pretty easy to know.
It's like, yeah, you're going through downtown and you're like, oh, wait,
that's what I ordered.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
It was Russ's house, damn it, damn it the hell
all right?

Speaker 6 (11:36):
Always water and fire pants.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
More big dumb fun when we come back, don't go anywhere.
You're listening to the Match of the morning.

Speaker 4 (11:43):
Right, Hey, you're sending the monsters.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Morning's our Radio one O four one podcast Live When
I heart radio app? Yeah the app please make us
the number one pre set that makes everybody else happy
around here. We appreciate it. Also where on our YouTube channel,
Real Radio Monsters on YouTube? How's it going with the YouTube?

Speaker 4 (12:16):
Bes the YouTube bees?

Speaker 1 (12:18):
Yeah? YouTube is doing good.

Speaker 5 (12:19):
They're doing They're doing all right. They're hanging out.

Speaker 6 (12:22):
We played a bunch of games this morning, including your
Rocket Goes Up game.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
It's like, it's like you're taking care of preschoolers, isn't it.
You're like the teacher taking care of them. We're gonna
play a game with y'all, go chat with a little bit. Good. Well, Hi,
YouTube's hope you're doing well. Hey, So okay, let's let's
let's let's imagine this. Let's imagine.

Speaker 5 (12:42):
Let's imagine if you will.

Speaker 1 (12:43):
Imagine if you will that I told you I'd give
you one million dollars if you get this right.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
Okay, okay, okay, they're gonna give me one million, one
million dollars.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
If you get this right. And I'm telling you that
Orlando is on this list, but you got to tell
me where we are on the list. What number we are? Okay?
And this is the most fun cities in America? The
wallet Hub list twenty twenty five Most Fun Cities in
America just came out. You get a million dollars if
you tell me where we are in the list. And

(13:12):
I'm telling you Orlando's on the list. And here's how
they judge it. They judge it by hold on, I
had of hair somewhere to the entertainment and recreation, nightlife
and parties and the cost of a party, and in
that particular.

Speaker 5 (13:28):
City, that's going to hurt it.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
Okay, So where do you think Orlando comes on the list?
You get a million dollars if you get it right.

Speaker 5 (13:35):
Or what number out of how many top ten? Top ten?
Let's go eight.

Speaker 1 (13:41):
You say we're number eight, Angel You get two million
dollars if you get it right. Of where Orlando came
in the top ten most fund cities in America. You
said eight, He said eight. Eight was Austin, Texas. By

(14:02):
the way, I'll go too, you get two million dollars. Congratulations,
we came in. We came in second a spot to
five hundred k home.

Speaker 5 (14:12):
Thank you?

Speaker 1 (14:13):
Who did we come in second to? Again? Vegas, Vegas.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
The only reason I went because it seems like last
year when we did this, we were number one, and.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
I think we've always been number two.

Speaker 3 (14:24):
One of these that you use always like we always
swip go back and forth one and two with Vegas.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
This is walling hub. Yeah, and then like I say,
they continue the entertainment value that we have here.

Speaker 3 (14:37):
I wonder how recent they did this, because a lot
of stuff that's coming out of Vegas right now is
that it is beat right now.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
I've heard because it's so expensive. It's more expensive than
it used to be. Price.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
So a lot of the stuff that they've used to
do for hookups has gone through the roof. Yeah, used
a lot of the casinos, like they've they've eliminated a
lot of the bookmakers out of the casino.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
The gimmick used to be at Vegas in order to
get you to come to that particular you know casino,
they would give like it'll have this incredible buffet. There
was almost nothing free drinks or they would give you everything.
Then they realized, hey man, people are coming anyway. These
dumb dums will pay for expensive buffet and they'll pay
for their drinks and they'll come. It's just if we

(15:21):
make the casino look really a badass, so they don't
have all those specials anymore.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
I'll give you another example, Russ in the sense of
how they were liquor sales, right, So they were using
liquor sales to fund basically getting these high named, big
name DJs to dj these rooms.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Right, Well, people aren't like.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Going in droves like they used to, and so that
they're having to book like second tier DJs for some
of these rooms, and they're moving them to smaller rooms,
and they're not having the same kind of traffic that
they were having there now, Like even during F one
F one was there, how'd they go a couple of
weeks ago? There were again for the people that went

(16:03):
to the race that I could afford to get into
the race. It was awesome, But a lot of the
stuff that I saw on social media, like it wasn't
easy to participate in any of the F one activities
because it was that expensive.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
And I remember, you know, back in the day when
I would go and be like, man, you go and
you could go see this act and it's not that expensive,
or the buffets practically free, and like it just because
they wanted you to gamble. Now, like if you want
to go to the Sphere or something, I mean just
to watch you know, any band that's at the Sphere
or the the Wizard of Oz thing they had or whatever,

(16:37):
it is like super expensive to go.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
It's not cheap. It's started three hundred bucks to go
see this and or fifty.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
And bands are expensive to see there.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
And then like for example, you know, look the whole
month of December, in part of January, they was all,
it's all uh the Wizard of Oz and I think
New Year's Eve it was uh, it was one of
the boy it's just playing New Year's Eve. Back backs
your boys, backs you boys for playing New Year's Eve.
And they're expensive and it's not a chief ticket to

(17:06):
see them there.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Well, and then I had tickets to go see what's
the other one that Mary Allen likes? Again not back
to new Kids on the Blood that those were expensive tickets.
Uh so that yeah, So okay, let's let's compare Vegas
to Orlando entertainment value. They do have more national acts,
but they're older national acts.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
Right.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
It's it's not the current people. It's it's people that
you know, they've moved to Vegas and they're you know,
settled in and uh, we don't have a whole lot
of national acts here that perform, but we obviously have
the theme parks.

Speaker 3 (17:38):
And how about this, let's take it like one step down, right,
Soluck for example, the three of us, if we're gonna
throw us ourselves in the mix, how often did the
three of us go and and partake in the fun
quote unquote fun things that happened in Orlando? How often
are we in I drive to anything?

Speaker 1 (17:54):
Yeah, you're right, we've been here so long now. I
will say I watched something on TV last night on ABC.
They have some like Christmas in a Disney World or whatever,
and it did make me want to go to the
Magic Kingdom again. I haven't been in a long time,
but just by watching that on TV, I was like, Oh,
I would kind of wouldn't mind going this year.

Speaker 3 (18:11):
What's the last time that you any of the three
of us? Again, I'm throwing myself in there too. When's
the last time that any of us went to Doctor
Phillips Center for any of the things that they did
have done.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
The only thing I've seen there was Paul Mecurio's thing
when I went there to see him. But I've never
seen anything else.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
And they've had some and look, and I get it
because of the nature of our show and this and that,
But like, you know, we could make certain things work
if we really wanted to go.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
That's what I'm saying. How about Okay, recreation in Orlando
versus recreation in Las Vegas. Recreation So we're talking golf, right,
We're talking pickleball, top golf, bowling, bowling, what else you've got.
You've got the paddle boarding, you've got We've got more recreation.

(18:56):
Uh you got skiing in a water, skiing, boing. They
don't have that in Vegas.

Speaker 5 (19:03):
Uh, well yeah they do.

Speaker 6 (19:04):
They got like har shoo and all that stuff out there, right, Like, uh,
what's what's the damn?

Speaker 5 (19:09):
The Hoover Damn is out there?

Speaker 1 (19:10):
Hoover dam is. It's not close to Vegas, really, it's
about an hour away.

Speaker 7 (19:14):
But every time I go to Vegas, they're gonna Yeah,
one of the things that you do is that you
go to Vegas recreation, or is that you rent a
high exotic car you make the drive to the Hoover
dam It's a big it's a whole industry.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
No, I've done it. Yeah. Is that considered recreation that's
like a tourist uh uh, I don't know, a museum
kind of a thing.

Speaker 6 (19:31):
I mean, you're you're out there doing stuff, so why
not hmm.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
I think we have more recreation in Orlando. I think
we should win that one. I think entertainment, Okay, entertainment
would be their their stars singing and there their their
you know acts or something like that, versus our theme parks. Right,
that's that's our entertainment, is the theme parks.

Speaker 5 (19:52):
Yeah, but that's all we got here.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Okay. But I'm saying all they have is you know,
Celine Dion and Donnie Osmon and like older acts who
have got a residency. They got Carrot Top, you know,
and they've got now they got like Alice Cooper and
what's his face? Uh doing a show together. So they've
got you know, older acts that are performing.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
Well, that's usually what you do though, right to grab that.
You're going after the clientele that have a disposable income.

Speaker 1 (20:23):
Well, I'm just comparing Orlando versus versus Vegas. I'm thinking
that I'm thinking we should win. This is what I'm
thinking nightlife. Okay, they probably beat us in night life
rush us. Yeah, yeah, they beat us a nightlife, pretty hard, parties,
nightlife and parties. Vegas probably wins that one, Okay.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
I mean the only city in Orlando and in Florida
would probably give them a run for the money for
us quote unquote nightlife would be Miami.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
Well, and they actually came in number three on this list.
This is the top ten most fun cities in America.
Number one was Las Vegas. Number two is Orlando. I
really think Orlanda should have won. Number three Miami, I.

Speaker 3 (21:01):
Get it could The reason we went should win or
could win, or in the hunting for or to win
is the fact that Orlando's vibe is more family friendly, right,
and so you could do more family stuff in Orlando
than you can in Vegas. And that's why we've always
been neck and neck with them.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Okay, so well with cost and bang for your buck?
Do we beat Vegas? Because I think now cost in
Vegas is more expensive than Orlando. But like in Vegas,
where are you going to take your family to? Like?

Speaker 3 (21:31):
Like what's a family like, what's a family thing that
you take? I know that this sphere a decade ago.
They Vegas tried to do the whole family thing and
it kind of didn't work for them, right, Yeah, And
so that's I guess trying to compare apples to apples.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Like, but you know, like, here's the thing, Angel, And
I don't know if you went to Vegas in the eighties,
but I went in the eighties. And when you went
in the eighties, every street corner they would have little
pamphlets and it was like, Hey, here's a hooker that'll
come to.

Speaker 6 (21:56):
They would they would pass out that still happens.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
It still happened. Hookers that will come to your hotel room.
Oh I didn't know that. Yeah, I thought they cleaned
that all that up. That was the whole idea of
cleaning it up for families. No, No, I haven't been
in a long time, so I can't argue with you.

Speaker 6 (22:11):
They did the family thing, and like, like Angel said,
the family thing failed miserably.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
Hookers.

Speaker 5 (22:17):
Yeah, basically they stopped shooting them away.

Speaker 6 (22:21):
Really, but the hookers aren't the ones doing the thing.
Like it's a bunch of random dudes slapping cards. They
have this stack full of cards and they slap them
at you, and it's.

Speaker 1 (22:31):
Got a picture of a girl and she'll come to
your hotel room.

Speaker 5 (22:34):
Yeah, I started collecting them. I got a stack like
this big by the time I left Vegas.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
That was funny when Bo and I, when Russell Bow
went to Vegas the first time, I remember they would
have the girl. The hookers were advertised on the side
of the taxis. I think happen like you want this girl.
It does not really, Yeah, dude, just going on social media,
you'll see it.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
Yeah they have. I didn't know they still advertised. They're
on buses. The buses there are still on the cards.
They're on taxi cabs.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Those are just like the strip clubs. No, it is
the actual escort. I'll be damn. I thought they got
rid of that. Well, we don't have that in Orlando.
So yeah, Vegas wins because.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
We got hookers.

Speaker 1 (23:12):
We got hookers, but they can't advertise. They're not allowed
to advertise. But we do have burlesque dancers. You can
see this Friday Night's horrible. That was that was that clunky?
What are you? What are you seconds? Guys, it's this

(23:33):

at the house, well on you know, on Sonos, but.

Speaker 5 (27:15):

Speaker 3 (27:18):
Yeah, no, I totally can't. Do you have a music library?
Like what do you play your music off? And everything's
off your Apple? And is that music and.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
It's all off your phone? Well yes, yeah, yeah, yeah,
well it comes off Apple and then it goes through.

Speaker 3 (27:31):
Sona, so you have it like on a laptop or
nothing like that, right, I could send you know what, Russ,
I think I can send you the album.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
I wonder why he doesn't put that on you know, it's.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
The same question I had, why why wasn't he selling
the album? He brought back the album just a couple
of years ago. It's a great album. It's absolutely fantastic.
I will I will digitize a copy of it for you,
email it to you, and then I think you can
add it to your iTunes through your phone and make
it a playlist, okay, and it'll be there for you know,
through your playlist.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
So I just kind of you know, yeah, I got
this morning for whatever, I got a bit two thirty.
I just I was up, so I just went in
and got up. And when I when I shave, I
you know, I don't shave my you know, I'm leaving
the beard going. But like right here, I shaved this
part and I saved this part, and uh so I
need just a lit little bit of shaving cream, you know,
it's a little bit. And I just opened like a new,

(28:21):
a new can of shaving cream. I'm half asleep or whatever,
and I hit the button and when I hit the button,
the shaving cream shot across the room all the way
to the other side. Right, It's all over the wall.
So I go over and I try to clean it
up or whatever. And then Mary Ellen just sends me
this and she's like, oh my god, we got a problem.
They're looking at this Ryan. There's foam growing out of

(28:43):
the uh she thought it was some sort of bacteria
growing out of the wall. And I'm like, no, baby,
that's shaving cream. That's me. I shot it across the room.

Speaker 5 (28:52):
I don't know how to shave my face.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
Oh it's it's it's me being a dumb dumb.

Speaker 5 (28:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (28:58):
News from the headlines brought to you by Headquarter Hundai

mary In area and check out all their inventory at
Headquarterhundai dot com.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
All right, the powder keg that will be coming up
in the next couple months, which is the super Bowl
halftime show. Oh my goodness, that's gonna be Everyone's gonna
be crazy because bad money. Puerto Rican. Well, not only
is he Puerto Rican, but Puerto Rican sign language will
be used for the very first time at the super
Bowl for the halftime show. They've never done that before.

(29:37):
Puerto Rican sign language experts will be there for halftime
as first time that's ever happened. Also, they'll have Puerto
Rican sign language for America the Beautiful and lift every voice.
Uh and for the national anthem. Well, wouldn't that just
be Spanish? It says Puerto Rican. I'm reading it read

(30:00):
in their own language. It's Spanish.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
We don't have a it's not our own different I'm
trying to figure out why they're making a point to
signify that it's are the people that are doing these
jobs Puerto Rican.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
The signing will be led by Cilmr Ready Era COSMOI.

Speaker 3 (30:17):
So the people that are doing the jobs are Porto
Puerto Rican. That's what the significance of it.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
Okay, So if if bad Bunny is singing in Spanish, right,
can they have sign language people signing it in English
so they could.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
Do that, Yeah, they could, They probably will. They could
translate with Yeah, they're probably offer them. But it says
they're not doing that though. It says that they're just
gonna have Puerto Rican. It says Puerto Rican signed language
to be used during uh pregame and halftime show for
bad Money. That's that's it's weirdly written because the language
that we speak in Puerto Rico is Spanish and English.

Speaker 5 (30:56):
Puerto Rican sign language louder.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
So yeah, that should you say Spanish?

Speaker 3 (31:03):
Yeah, that's why there's Yeah, that's why I'm trying to
I was trying to figure out.

Speaker 1 (31:07):
The tsp TV reports that it'll be will include Puerto
Rican Spanish language. No, no, Puerto Rican sign language for
the very first time.

Speaker 5 (31:19):
Is there a dialect of Spanish in Puerto Rico that's different?

Speaker 3 (31:22):
No, not no, not per se. I mean like the
indigenous Tinos spoke a different language. But that's that's really small.

Speaker 5 (31:32):
So you think, you know, it was like just something
to make Republicans man.

Speaker 1 (31:36):
It seems like a you know, there was a outrage
a couple of months ago when it when it was announced,
you know, everybody was all upset. And then he did
Saturday Night Live, like, oh my god, I can't believe
he's gonna do it. And now it's died off. If
people have forgotten about it, it will it fire up
again in February when when it's closer to you think
people will be sick.

Speaker 3 (31:53):
Of complaining about you know, I don't know if you
saw this, but I guess last week the Webster's Dictionary
added the rage bait to the to the language to.

Speaker 5 (32:01):
The Dictionary Word.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
Of the Year. What's the definition of rage?

Speaker 3 (32:05):
Rage baiting is this kind of stuff where like you're
using Puerto Rican, you know, Puerto Rican language instead of
saying Spanish, and so it's low, it's died down, but
the fervor for this, you know again, no, no, no, and
I think you're right, and then has but like in
the last couple of weeks, we've also been made aware
and I'm just genuinely surprised how America for the most part,

(32:27):
has been kind of not responsive to the amount of
you know, troll farms that are attacking us. I agree,
and that that was confirmed and reported and there's and
and everyone's just kind of been like, Okay, cool that
all those same things for us. As we get closer
to the Super Bowl, watch You're right, it'll ramp up

(32:47):
again and all these rage farms all no, they'll start
sending all that stuff again to trigger people rage bade
them again and everything. And you I'm with you. I
agree in the weekly not to it. People are going
to be losing their minds again about how he's you know,
doing this.

Speaker 6 (33:04):
I did not know American sign language an English sign
language like England is different, is different, and they can't
understand each other.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
Really, so maybe that's why they're calling it Puerto Rican
sign language. Maybe maybe if you have a Cuban you know,
someone doing can and doing somebody a Rican is different.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
Again, that would be new to me because again it's
all Spanish, right, So I'm certain I'm certain there's you know,
the shorthands and stuff like that, but that the English
that is spoken in Europe is not the same type
of English that spoken in America.

Speaker 1 (33:37):
But also i've seen, like with you and Daisy, Daisy's Mexican,
you're Puerto Rican. I've seen there are certain words that
she doesn't know that you know.

Speaker 3 (33:45):
You know what I'm saying, Well, there's different So the
words are the same, we use them in different ways.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
Different ways. Yeah, so maybe that might be the difference.

Speaker 6 (33:54):
So Puerto Rican sign language is different from Spanish sign
language and American sign language. So it's correctly, but just
felt weird because we were unaware. Okay, interesting, hum, I
didn't know this was so regionalized. I thought something like
sign language would just be like one thing. I'm sorry
deaf people, Uh, that's that's cool, but maybe you should

(34:14):
like make it one thing.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
So if you are Mexican and you're trying to read
the Puerto Rican sign language, will be some of it
be confusing, not all of it, but will some of
it be confusing because the dialog with certain words.

Speaker 3 (34:24):
If it were so going down that road, then kind
of like what you were just saying, it could be
depending on where what part of Latin America, what Spanish
country you're from. There's gonna be words that there that
will be using. Like I kind of missed that, but
but I get the gist of it because everything around
it kind of like what you say when you hear
Daisy and I her and I. We get the gist

(34:45):
of what we're going at. There's certain certain words that
we use differently, or certain words that are way more vulgar, right,
you know so, so I guess that would be that
would be the nuance there.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
Well, there you go.

Speaker 5 (35:01):
We learned something today, guys.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
That's what you listened to the mans for knowledge knowledge.
We learned things.

Speaker 5 (35:09):
I only know.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (35:11):
I once try to take sign language as a second
like when you go to college, you have to take
a second language.

Speaker 5 (35:17):
Yeah, And that first they were you could do that
as a second language.

Speaker 6 (35:22):
Of sign language was supposed to be very easy to
pick up as opposed to another language like French or
English or Spanish.

Speaker 1 (35:28):
My sister taught sign language, and she actually taught uh
Savannah son Gage sign language when he was young and
he grew up and that's what he does for a
living now, is he's like She motivated him to be
in a sign language. He's like one of the best
in California. Oh wow, yeah, yeah, that's a true story.
All right, we'll take a little break, we come back.
It's time for the King of Denmark right homes to

(35:50):
make his daily proclamation. You're listening to the Master of
the morning.

Are You A Charlotte?

In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today.
