(01:34):
So get that, you know, keep my eye on that,
and that's gonna be at eight fifteen, Ryan Holmes, Have
you ever do you like doing parlays when you're let's say,
on a random betting app hard rock?
Speaker 5 (01:49):
Yeah, I've done a couple.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
Of them, Like would you do a parlay? How far
do you? How far do you like?
Speaker 6 (01:55):
Twelve twelve? Twelve game parlay? Love game parlay?
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Okay, so I did the same thing this past week,
Okay on thirty bucks. Had I won? Had I hit
my parlay?
Speaker 6 (02:04):
Still the time it feels good, Right.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
That's at thirty bucks for us if you're on a
twelve game parlay. But here's the thing about the parlay.
I mean, you're getting ultimate. You have to get all
twelve games, right right, So obviously I don't bet on
the Steelers. So that was that. That game was out.
Speaker 3 (02:16):
You'll never bet on the Steelers never not never know really.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Yeah again that's that's you're you're you don't need that
Juju on your team. That's a that's irresponsible as a fan. Uh,
that's just my own personal opinion. That's just me. There
are other people that do it and the fine that
go ahead and do it. That's how that's your business.
Speaker 5 (02:30):
Why does Juju Smith being on team matter?
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Here?
Speaker 2 (02:33):
You go, idiot? Sorry, I didn't realize he was still playing.
He's still he's still in Kansas City anyway, rush thirty dollars, Yeah,
twelve game parlay. Had I hit that this past week
and at the Tampa Bay Bucket that was one of
the teams that faltered on me on on the twelve
game parlay off of thirty dollars? How much money do
you think I could have won? Seven thousand dollars, seven
(02:54):
thousand dollars, Daisy nine nine hundred dollars. Right, do you
have it? You want to? You to take a shot,
because because this.
Speaker 5 (03:01):
Is why, this is why it matters, this is why
hooks you rise ten thousand.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
It would have been fifty thousand.
Speaker 5 (03:08):
Fifty thousand, Yeah, yeah, that's rather fun off of.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
A thirty dollars bet.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
But the chances obviously.
Speaker 5 (03:14):
Like this yeah smart.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
Oh really, wow, gambling equates the smart.
Speaker 6 (03:24):
Guys, I've gotten worse.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
Like I'm currently learning how to do arbitrage gambling, which
is a whole different thing.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
What's the word arbitrage?
Speaker 5 (03:32):
That means you you're you're betting both sides of the coins.
Oh hell no, you're betting the win and the loss.
And apparently it's a good way to get banned from
the app, so I gotta be careful about it.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
But yeah, no, no, no, So the best I've ever done,
the best bet I've ever done, Russ was wow. Though,
when I went to Vegas one time and I put down.
Speaker 7 (03:51):
A five leg parlay and I hit that, that was
the That was the best all the time that I've
ever got that and I ended up winning and it
was all on college football and then ended up winning like,
uh like fifteen hundred bucks or something like that. So
with that said, maybe this is the week I might
do it again.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
But again, so tonight, So.
Speaker 4 (04:11):
How much did you really win?
Speaker 2 (04:12):
Because no, no, no, no, I'm gonna say it. Had I
won because you have to get all you have to
get all the games correct. And I went to the
Tampa Bay game Tampa Bay loss, and and and I
and I knew I was in trouble when uh uh
the Commodorees were.
Speaker 5 (04:27):
Losing, losing to parlay. If I lose like within like
the first like four or five games, but if I'm
on a twelve leg.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yeah, if you get the one o'clock hour correct, and
you go to that four you know, the four o'clock hour,
and you're you're, you know, things are lighted up, it
gets it gets interesting. Rush we had again, we have
a wildcard series in Major League Baseball. And this is
what's crazy about this, uh these series, Russ. It's the
best out of three in the wildcard. It is the
best out of three, so like it matters. So for example,
(04:58):
the Yankees, he was a barn burner of a game.
It was, I mean tense all the way through the
ninth inning. And the Yankees extend this, They're going, They're
going to Boston. The Yankees win four to three.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Maybe you sort watch I mean, we are the playoffs.
I could probably start watching some baseball.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Oh it's the Well, the Yankees game was was a
lot of fun.
Speaker 3 (05:20):
I even got a Yankee hat.
Speaker 2 (05:22):
That gives me okay, perfect Well, Rogers the Dodgers swept
the Reds. They won eight to four. So now they're
gonna be running into in the divisional Series. It'll be
Dodgers in Phillies. That starts Saturday, October the fourth.
Speaker 5 (05:36):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
The Blue Jays are on the other side of that.
They're waiting to see who say, the blue Jays are in,
Mariners in, and Brewers are in and they're just all
waiting for these wild Card playoffs to finish up.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Oh good, I'm gonna tell Jack I'm a pull for
his Yankees. I'm wearing his Yankee hat tomorrow. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (05:55):
I love that.
Speaker 8 (06:00):
I saw online that you guys went on a bus
to a game somewhere.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
You know, That's what I'm saying. So we had the
Bucks bus last Sunday and we went to that was
my first NFL games.
Speaker 6 (06:09):
You want to do a bus?
Speaker 5 (06:10):
Oh yeah, all right, I got, I got, I got
a perfect thing. They're out of Miami. Uh, you you
come on the bus and then like we bring we
just bring a bunch of dudes on.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
Minute are trying to train me. Bang bus is it
called because it used to be called a train? Right now,
this guy's trying to run.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
It's called a bang bus. Yeah, it's very popular.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
No man, I've retired from my whole days.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
Please her hearts are melting across the world.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
She runn everybody off the bus man. She wear them
all out. People like car three hours, she says she
wants two more hours.
Speaker 2 (06:53):

Remember the preseason for the NBA with the Orlando Magic.
They're playing the Miami Heat this Saturday, but that game
is being played in Puerto Rico. But that's the thing
Browns have just because of all the drama going on,
(07:36):
Floco has been bench for the Browns. They're going with
Dylan Great Gabriel, he's their rookie. And the w NBA
has announced a eleven year media deal, which is gonna
the USA Network is going to air fifty games plus
some of the playoffs now on that network, so they're

it'd be fun to, you know, to build a scarecrow.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
You're not gonna scare any birds.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
No, no, no, it's coming downtown melt door and then

We're out. Part of the Big Dumb Fun Tour is
going to be Dayton and Harley Davidson. Will be at
Dayton Harley Davidson October the sixteenth from six store eleven
doing a live show for by Toberfest. Hey, at our
last live show, you you danced for one of the listeners. Uh,
(14:26):
Jake what we call him Jake? His name is ken Uh,
the old man that used to be in the Jake costume,
and he wanted to be.
Speaker 3 (14:33):
In the Jake costume again.
Speaker 6 (14:35):
Oh, we can't put him in that day, and he
wants to.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Do it at the at the he wants to prove
that he still got it. Ryan, you didn't see any
of this. He wants to prove that he still has
But he walks slower than he did before. The reason
he didn't he gave up the costume is because Hey
was too hot for him.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
He was gonna have heart attack.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
But he says, now that he's had heart surgery, he
feels better.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
He had a bypass.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
We did was we said little, We'll see if your
heart can handle a dance from Daisy.
Speaker 3 (15:04):
So Daisy Lap danced for him.
Speaker 8 (15:07):
Now that I'm a retired stripper, here's what I have
to say about that.
Speaker 4 (15:12):
Yeah, he lasted one day. I earned twelve dollars. I
gave one to my teacher, which was then Jelik.
Speaker 8 (15:19):
Yeah, so really I took call me eleven dollars after
a lot of labor.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Yeah, yeah, I.
Speaker 6 (15:24):
Feel, you know, tax free though.
Speaker 8 (15:27):
What I what I realized is, you know, there's there's
a certain freedom to being in this industry where you
just shake your butt and get money for it.
Speaker 3 (15:35):
So the guy, the guy can that you danced for
right and you said.
Speaker 5 (15:38):
You saw him on They saw him on TV yesterday
doing what was he doing?
Speaker 2 (15:44):
There was a I was.
Speaker 5 (15:45):
Watch Chail six and uh, Post Time Lounge is closing
over there in Castlebar.
Speaker 1 (15:49):
No, it's been there forever.
Speaker 5 (15:52):
It's been there before I was born. That thing, that
place has always been there.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
What are the owner of Michael Penter passed away. Yeah,
so I wonder if has anything to do with it.
Speaker 5 (16:01):
But yeah, I guess he bought it in the eighties,
but it was there before that, and that place is
like an establishment.
Speaker 6 (16:07):
I'm surprised they're closing.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
That is the.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
First place when Bubba, Bubba and Savannah used to go
out and perform. And then that was the first place
where Bubba wanted me to play drums, and that was
at the Post Time Lounge, so they would hire it
would be Bubba and Savannah and me playing drums at
the Post Time. We did it several different times, so
(16:29):
I have fond memories of that place.
Speaker 5 (16:30):
Yeah, I've seen a couple of concerts there as well,
for like local bands Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
It was always an awesome place to catch local bands.
The food was always, you know, good, They had a
good specials like you're talking about. They would have a
on the weekends. There was always some type of car
show happening out there.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
The Kill. The Kill used to play there.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Some of other bands that were monster bands would play
at Post Time.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
So did they say why they're closing? And what did
ten have to say?
Speaker 5 (16:56):
I didn't have the audio on, so I just I
just saw that it was happening.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
General manager Deanna Sheer and if I mispronounce her name,
I apologize. In a post this week, she wrote, due
to circumstance, stances beyond my control, with that very heavy heart,
I unfortunately have to inform you that Post Time Lounge
and Cafe and Patio will close November the second. We'll
someone appreciate your continued support during this difficult time. So
(17:19):
as of right now, we don't know the details. Someone's
going to reopen it or whatever. That's a that's a
really nice location. Actually, if you go inside Post Time,
it's nice in there. Yeah, you know, I mean Rush.
You're saying that and you're thinking that it has something
to do with the running of the place. What if
somebody bought that bought that because that's again a very
valuable corner it is, and someone bought that corner and
(17:42):
has completely different plans.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
I mean could be I guess. I mean, yeah, the
last time I was in there, which has been some time,
but it had been it had been redone, refurbished or whatever.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
It had a nice outletside court area.
Speaker 5 (17:55):
Like there's been somebody like like bars that are like,
you know, staples of the community that have had to
shut down because of development. That is the answer. I mean,
like like remember Tom and Jerry's. Yeah, I like Tom
and Jerry's. There's a little dive bar, but then that
whole quarter got bought out. Now it's where the Ale
House and everything else is over there and winter Park,
but like put some lounge was the.
Speaker 6 (18:14):
I really want.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Jerry is another place?
Speaker 5 (18:15):
No windows right, no windows inside? Yeah, smoky dark running
out of these places, man, Because when I was going
around trying to like test out bars for like that
was gonna be like my home bar. When I bought
this house, post time was one of the places that
I went to. It was just a little too far
away for me.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
Yeah, that's a long way to drink and dry.
Speaker 5 (18:34):
Yeah, you have to go buy the police department. No,
that was the.
Speaker 8 (18:42):
Same thing I noticed about going to Tavari's. Why is
the police department like right there?
Speaker 3 (18:49):
Well, very small town.
Speaker 4 (18:51):
Yeah, but that's one thing I didn't like.
Speaker 8 (18:53):
What kind of just put the police department on the
other side.
Speaker 5 (18:57):
Make it harder for them to get the drunk driver, yes,
make it work for that.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Yeah, they got a bomber. You're right, this is such
an iconic place man.
Speaker 3 (19:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
Well, you know, we heard the same thing when it
was when it was Wallis and then someone you know,
grabbed it and reopened it and put it back up.
So maybe maybe it's not going away forever. But uh,
we'll see.
Speaker 5 (19:15):
It did need an upgrade inside, though, I will say that.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
I was in there. It was last time I was
in there. It was really nice.
Speaker 6 (19:22):
Yeah it was not.
Speaker 5 (19:23):
It's nice, But like, I hope they do what they
did with Wally's. I remember like arguing I like Walla
and A. First, I didn't want Wallis to change it.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
All.
Speaker 5 (19:31):
I wanted Wallis to say the dirty dive bar that
it was.
Speaker 6 (19:34):
But now that it's been upgraded, it's better with us.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
Remember that that bar with the bar we went to
for like his birthday or whatever.
Speaker 6 (19:43):
You came out for your birthday.
Speaker 4 (19:46):
Yeah, just now, wait, so it used to look different before.
Speaker 3 (19:51):
Yeah, it used to be a lot worse.
Speaker 6 (19:52):
Yeah, yellow walls smelled like smoke.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
Yeah, okay, that was That was nicotine.
Speaker 8 (19:57):
Now it has now it has a nice bar and
very nice booty lady that serves you drinks.
Speaker 5 (20:02):
So, like, what are the what are the classic bars
left in town? I don't think there's that many.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
Left classic bars?
Speaker 5 (20:09):
Yeah, like just it's just around Orlando that have like
the test the time, like post time most time.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
It's been a while. Yeah, around around one.
Speaker 8 (20:15):
It's kind of like I went to Mohitos. I don't
know if you've ever been to Mohitos in Hunter's Creek.
It was really nice, fun place to dance. And then
I go there and it was shut down. They didn't
even advise anybody or anything. It's just shut down.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
Well, you know, I saw a story recently of how
a lot of your young younger people aren't drinking as
much anymore, and it's harder to keep bitch, it's harder
to keep bars.
Speaker 3 (20:40):
Open these days.
Speaker 8 (20:41):
That's why because the young generation, they don't even like
to go out.
Speaker 4 (20:44):
I noticed that.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
They'd rather smoke and stay home, you know, like vaping
or smoking or whatever, or you know, and drinking is
not as popular as it used to be.
Speaker 4 (20:55):
Wow, allegedly, So what's gonna happen because not at my house.
We're gonna have to just drink at home.
Speaker 6 (21:02):
We have to drink it home.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Sad.
Speaker 6 (21:04):
You can zoom, you can FaceTime.
Speaker 4 (21:07):
Yeah, Ryan homes is your dog still chilling?
Speaker 5 (21:10):
Yeah, we'll just have everybody on different little screens.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Like in Europe, the whole idea of a pub and
everything is a social It's a big social part of
the community, right, It's a place for everybody to meet.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
And Europe, I'm telling you, like everywhere you go, even at.
Speaker 8 (21:27):
The airport, they have awesome bars and never look down upon.
I think here is because it started being like a
look down upon that, Oh you drink or what you
drink so much? This and this and that and they're counting.
I just saw a commercial yesterday about this lady who
was drinking with her baby sitting on the right, and
she was like, Oh, they're making a law where you
(21:49):
can't drink and drive that much anymore.
Speaker 1 (21:52):
And she's a terrible daisy. You're right, that's terrible. I
don't know, there's so much.
Speaker 5 (21:57):
Wrong with.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
I don't know what you were.
Speaker 8 (22:00):
Yeah, what side of the commercial was from nineteen eighty,
But the US has changed, or even then, that's only
forty one years ago, and now here we are with
a new dilemma.
Speaker 4 (22:09):
All the good bars are gone.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
Quite the dilemma.
Speaker 5 (22:14):
I know. I always thought the kids like behind me
would be cooler, but yeah, they're just a bunch of
like weird introverts that like don't go out and do
anything and don't drink.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
But here's the thing, cool man in the sense of this.
And this is from a Time article, right, and this
says that, and this is the data that they use overall, Right,
us drinking has risen overall.
Speaker 6 (22:33):
Yeah, because I got to drink more.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
None, no, no knowing no no. But so we're sitting here complaining, Oh,
what's the story. I just recently said that you are drinking. No, no, no,
that's what I'm saying. So younger people, So just for us,
just to say, just for us in our circles, we're
not really going to places where younger people drink, no,
or hanging out with younger people. No, so our peer
groups are our groups are drinking more. It's risen so
(22:57):
that like, I don't see that.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
You're right.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
The stat I saw was young people under the age
of twenty seven.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
Thirty five and down. Yeah, said yeah, and again, my
whole point of view is I'm not hanging out with
a bunch of thirty five year olds that often. And
if you all ain't drinking, I don't care.
Speaker 3 (23:12):
Another thing that and then right, thank you. Texting service.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
Part of the article was saying that I alcohol is
too expensive to drink out in bars. It's easier to
buy a bottle, take it to your house and drink it.
So so economics has a lot to do with white people.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
Are are you saying these younger people are smarter than us?
Speaker 6 (23:29):
No, No, they're broken.
Speaker 5 (23:30):
It's broker.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
They're broker. They don't have the money we have.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
Yeah, okay, okay.
Speaker 5 (23:33):
It takes the texting and texting service seven seven zero
three one, and we can join our YouTube chat as well,
leg and subscribe. Other bars have been around for a while.
Spats in winter part.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
That's still a good one. That's a good one, been.
Speaker 6 (23:44):
There forever, just as jankies it's always been.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
I haven't been the Spats in a while.
Speaker 5 (23:49):
The Green Bar and the Green Parrot and castle Berry.
Speaker 3 (23:51):
Oh that's where they get as soon as you're walking whatever.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
Yeah, how long ago was that rush? Exactly? Every time
you do that, the manager gets all pissed off and
he emails all of us because you make it sound
like it just happened to you Thursday.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
You happen to email me he has.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
You don't respond, That's why why are you beat a bitch? Ass?
Respond to him that way? He doesn't that way, he
doesn't email, right.
Speaker 6 (24:18):
And I'm tid of getting the Green Bar email.
Speaker 2 (24:21):
Ride went to the Green Bar, Green Perry trying to
hang out, and the whole time the managers was just
grilling him, just staring at him, mad dog in him. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (24:28):
Hell, he was.
Speaker 4 (24:28):
Waiting to see if he was doing cocaine.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
No, no, he was mad right, And I because of
what Russ said, guy tells the stories again. Twenty years ago?
Speaker 3 (24:39):
Twenty years ago?
Speaker 4 (24:41):
Was it thirty?
Speaker 2 (24:41):
Okay? Sorry? Fifteen?
Speaker 3 (24:43):
Oh god, dangn it was twenty years.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
Think about it. It was.
Speaker 6 (24:49):
I've been out with you.
Speaker 5 (24:50):
Most people just offer you cocaine, and those people are
your best friend.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
One of them.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
At least he is husty Lose Holly's and Dolly still.
Speaker 2 (24:58):
No clo It's a restaurant now, is whiskey Lose on
that open place? Yeah, whiskey.
Speaker 6 (25:04):
The Castleberry's Bar, that's the one.
Speaker 5 (25:06):
I like the most closest to me where I'm like, okay,
this would be my bars, the Castleberry's Bar. And I
think that's been there very long time.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
What's what's Castleberry's Bar. I don't know what that is.
Speaker 5 (25:14):
Yeah, it's it's off seventeen ninety two down on the
path by the home depot over there.
Speaker 6 (25:20):
It's it's called Castleberry's Bar.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
No way.
Speaker 6 (25:22):
Yeah, Nice and Sleezy's still open.
Speaker 3 (25:25):
God, nice and Sleezy.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Are you serious where the home depot is? Where's that?
Speaker 6 (25:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (25:32):
Like, if you if you're leaving from like our place
and you're going down right, it'll be on the right
down seventeen ninety two around where like a home depot
is on the right hand side.
Speaker 6 (25:40):
It's kind of hard to see.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
Oh that's a I've never even heard of this. It's cool.
Speaker 6 (25:44):
They got it.
Speaker 5 (25:44):
They got a little tiki bar outside. It's it's it's
a good bar. It is definitely a good bar. What's
the one ain't misbehaving?
Speaker 1 (25:52):
Is that?
Speaker 6 (25:53):
How long has that been there?
Speaker 5 (25:54):
That's the one off Hall Branch Road, like fourth it's
kind of four thirty six Hall Branch are never been.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
No, that it's called some place you're in you're talking
about that in the one that's in that plaza.
Speaker 5 (26:06):
It's in front of like an l a fitness and
it was that place has been.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
There for me. And that place is right next to
the Asian restaurant.
Speaker 5 (26:14):
Yeah, Fiddler's Fiddler's on the Green that's been Yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
That's over it and winter Park that's the Irish place.
Speaker 6 (26:22):
Yeah, so there's up for sale. Ry Oh damn, of course.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Why don't you buy a Ryan?
Speaker 6 (26:29):
I will, like, I'll be.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
You are the last person that should buy a bar.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
Why you should not.
Speaker 3 (26:35):
Buy a bar?
Speaker 4 (26:36):
Yeah, you be a good bar because you're.
Speaker 1 (26:38):
Drinking all you sit there and be drunk all the time,
smoking cigarettes.
Speaker 5 (26:41):
No, I would not. I've managed the bar before, but like,
I didn't like it because I involved a lot of
like what was essentially babysitting and dealing with like because
bartenders aren't the most reliable people in the world.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
You were bartender at one time exactly.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
Right, Hey, if you want to get real good tequila
and take it to your house, where do you get at,
Daisy del Toro.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
Take it to your house? Whatever you Well, if you
want to take it to your house, you have to
go to take a.
Speaker 8 (27:08):
Yeah, and then you can go to locations and there's
all the locations. If not, we ship it to your house,
then you don't even have to leave with home at all.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
That's right, You're gonna just stay there, stay, stay home
in your underwear and drink tequila. Yeah, that's a good idea.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
You know, tequila was met for partying. I'm just saying
it is. You're supposed to go out, dance a.
Speaker 8 (27:27):
Little while, get a little bit horny, and then find
the mate and then make babies with it.
Speaker 3 (27:32):
I got several days.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
You need to put that on your bottle. You need
to put that on the bottle.
Speaker 4 (27:36):
Is that my slogan?
Speaker 3 (27:37):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (27:37):
That was awesome.
Speaker 8 (27:39):
Party, find them mate, get horny, find them mate, and
then make babies and then drink tequila.
Speaker 5 (27:46):
Start with the whole.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
Yeah, that's the whole reason we're doing this.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
Yeah, all right, I take a little break, more big
dumb fun.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
When we come back. You're listening to the Monsters of
the Morning.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Mad at myself when I like, as soon as that
came out, I mean, you're like.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
Three notes that. I'm like, that's Autograph.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
And I can't remember people that are here and have
been of the radio station for you. I can't remember
their names, but I remember that band's name is Autograph,
and that song came out in what eighty brother five eighty,
So I don't know, like I should not remember that
that band's name is Autograph, but I came out right away.
That is a great song. Welcome back to the Monsters
(28:21):
in the Morning. We're Radio one on four point one.
Still about thirty tickets left for the Monster Brewbus.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
Eighty four of us nineteen four from the album sign
In Please.
Speaker 3 (28:33):
And I had the album. That's probably why I remember it.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Autographs on one hit Wonder Yeah.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
One hit Yeah, that's all they had.
Speaker 1 (28:38):
The other songs were pretty good, but they never made it. Anyway,
get on the Monster Brew Bus. Just go to real
Radio dot FM slash Brew. There's only thirty tickets left.
We sold out one entire bus. More than half the
other bus is gone. So if you want to be
a part of an incredible party. What happens on the
brew Bus.
Speaker 4 (28:54):
Doesn't stay on the Brew Bus.
Speaker 8 (28:57):
I'm recording everything and I'll make you a full on
my social media.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
And I'm kidding.
Speaker 3 (29:02):
No, we had a great time. Like the Rubys we
went the last time was.
Speaker 6 (29:06):
Fun, right, that's right.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
We were dancing and everything. I almost made.
Speaker 8 (29:10):
Out and I'm kidding. I didn't make out with anything.
I was a good girl.
Speaker 1 (29:13):
I just keep teasing that though.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
You're a tease.
Speaker 4 (29:16):
Yeah, I don't know where that came from. It's because
I had too much food.
Speaker 8 (29:20):
So now I'm full of energy thinking I'm doing all
these bad things, but I'm not.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
Yeah, yeah, yea, yeah, Hey, I saw this this morning.
This is in my news feed or whatever. That the
brand new how do you say? I'm gonna say it right,
Black Maria, How did you say your uncle's name? Germo
Jero Guermo del Toro's Frankenstein. The full trailers now dropped
(29:43):
on Netflix. So this morning I watched the whole trailer.
Oh my god, Daisy, this is this is your uncle.
It looks so good. It is.
Speaker 4 (29:51):
Well, I'm gonna go home and watch it now.
Speaker 3 (29:53):
The trailer.
Speaker 4 (29:54):
Yeah, the trailer.
Speaker 1 (29:55):
I mean I got it right here, I clip on
it if you want to see. H I don't know,
if you it's can I make the whole thing big?
Speaker 8 (30:02):
See that's why she's probably gonna win another Oscar.
Speaker 1 (30:05):
Man.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
This, I mean just looks amazing.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
Yeah, when you see the way that it looks like that,
it's just it's a beautiful looking Uh.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
It's a different definitely a different take on Frankenstein.
Speaker 3 (30:18):
It is shinier. I guess I don't know how to
say it.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
But but uh, for those that don't know, your uncle
has won an Oscar for.
Speaker 4 (30:28):
She has won three Oscar Okay.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
So what movies?
Speaker 8 (30:34):
Laborate, elaborate, Labyrinth, Thank you, Sha, Shape of Water and Pinocchio,
So he's won three.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
So this is good. Gonna strictly it's going to be
on Netflix. Do you think Angel this will still be like, uh,
a possibility for an Academy Award nomination.
Speaker 8 (30:54):
It is, right because I think Pinocchio was also went
straight into Netflix, right yeah, I don't think he did theater.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
So it comes out in November seventh, and just this
trailer that dropped just yesterday, it looks really really good.
Speaker 8 (31:09):
It's just the creativity at the game of the money
and he has the right team around him.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
The Best Animated Film was he won in twenty twenty
three for Pinocchio.
Speaker 1 (31:19):
Yeah, yeh, look look at it.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
Look at that.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
It really looks cool. I mean, I wonder what the
budget is. I think that was part of the story.
Though he exceeded the budget for this Frankenstein movie, right.
Speaker 4 (31:30):
I don't know all the details. I just know he
ended up having to go to England to finish it,
so it must have been an.
Speaker 8 (31:36):
Issue, like you said, really had to get additional investors.
Speaker 1 (31:39):
Oh why did he have to go to England to
finish it?
Speaker 8 (31:41):
I don't know the whole detail like I wish I did,
but yeah, I don't.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
I don't get to Yeah, there's sort of a building
they just blew up, like an old fashioned building, and
then they quickly show the Frankenstein monster like a quick thing.
But you know, you have to watch the whole movie
to see the whole Frankenstein Monster. But I think it's
going to do well.
Speaker 8 (31:59):
I'm excited about it. Yeah, I want to watch it,
like right away.
Speaker 5 (32:02):
I'd love to show it on YouTube, but we'll get
pulled down. I don't think that they'll believe me if
I type in it's Daisy's uncle, they won't believe that.
Speaker 8 (32:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (32:14):
So they don't even have a released on YouTube.
Speaker 6 (32:17):
No it is, but show will our video will get
pulled down for the day.
Speaker 3 (32:21):
So little little known fact.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
You may not know this or whatever, but you know
certain things as a kid. I I love Batman being
one of them, you know. And I always love Frankenstein. Now,
uh why, I don't know. It was always my favorite character.
Speaker 6 (32:35):
I don't know why.
Speaker 4 (32:36):
I remember your dad was.
Speaker 1 (32:38):
Well, that's no. No. One of the things. Because I
was such a big fan. One time we were driving
around and my dad was saying, Rush, you know, you
can do anything you put your mind to. Like, oh, yeah,
we'll prove it, dad. He's okay, what do you want
me to do? And he had a furniture store on
Edgewater Drive, and on the top of the furniture store
he had built this big rocking chair because they furniture,
(33:00):
so that was the furniture store. I said, well, you
want to prove it, put Frankenstein in that chair. He's like, okay,
we're going to do that by next week. And so
we went home and and for that week we built
this Frankenstein out of paper mache and and and hangers
and all kinds of painted and everything, and put this
big Frankenstein in just to prove to me that you
(33:22):
can do anything you put your mind to.
Speaker 4 (33:24):
See, you look at that, Russ has made his own Frankenstein.
Speaker 1 (33:27):
So I made my own Frankenstein. But but that's how.
Speaker 8 (33:29):
Frank Did your Frankenstein look better than your scarecrow?
Speaker 6 (33:33):
Oh damn, damn, just askin.
Speaker 3 (33:36):
It looked really good. It was pretty good. My dad
made it.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
I helped him. He was just proving that, hey boy,
anything you put your mind to you can actually do.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
And it was up there for years. He used Yeah,
he has a tendency when he builds these things and
he gets on these craft kicks, he uses all the
heaviest materials that he can.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
Yeah, my dad only used He only used hangers like
metal wire hangers and paper machet and then put some
sort of thing around it so when it was in
the rain, it wouldn't go away.
Speaker 3 (34:06):
And it was up there for years.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
People would drive by all that's for Frankenstein sitting in
a rocking chair, like like, why is that? Why is
Frankenstein sitting this rocking chair? And my dad's were, well,
my son wanted me to prove you can do anything
you put your mind to, and it really kind of
it was the template for my life, right, Like I
think I can do anything I.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Put my mind to.
Speaker 8 (34:25):
Yeah, I was about to say, because like from furniture
store ownership to like you doing thirty plus years in
the entertainment industry doesn't really have anything to.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
Do with it. But the lesson is, you know, hey,
if I if I want to be I wanted to
do it. I want to be a professional wrestler, I
can do it if I want to If I want
to record an album, I can do it. If I
want to do this, Like you know, that's the mindset
my dad gave me. And it's all goes back to Frankenstein.
So I wanted you to know what, I'm so excited
about this movie because I've always loved Frankenstein.
Speaker 3 (34:54):
For some reason.
Speaker 4 (34:54):
That's awesome.
Speaker 8 (34:56):
I like Frankenstein only because to me, it like brings
act the whole thing of like we're created from all
these different aspects of us, like your soul, your heart,
your spirit, and then the physical sense of a human.
Speaker 4 (35:09):
So I was like, ah, that makes sense.
Speaker 1 (35:11):
But Isn't that the thing with frank sink He doesn't
have a soul that so it's just he's just built
of all these different parts. I know the Frankenstein story
is much deeper than what we think it is, you know,
when we were kids or whatever. But hey, we gotta
take a little break. When we come back, we'll have
mo in here for mo for the weekend. Don't go anywhere.
You're listening to the mantra of the Morning
