A lot of people you know, bought that tickets where

was called the Second Big Decision was a commercial for
Hennessy and something about the dumb ass look on his
face when when they announced it made me mad. I
was like, oh, I see now, I see why people

don't like him. I get it because this is a
it's kind of crappy. A lot of people bought bout
ta thinking that, you know, this was going to be
his final season and he basically just roped you in
for a Hennessy commercial.

I've been to I've lived in Orlando for six years.
I'm like six years. That's adorable. And he's like, and
you know what, since I've been living here, we get
a lot of storms. So I thought we'd name the
team the Storlando Storm. I'm like, don't you understand there
used to be the Tampa Bay Storm that was a
football team in Tampa, So you're taking the Storm name.

And it was the guy that doesn't know anything about football.
I mean, it was so irritating, and I'm like, okay,
now we're gonna be expected to once again fall into

to the Orlando Panthers. My dad got me an Orlando

guys signed it and they won some championship or something

of sports world, hot take kind of thing, stephen A Smith,

stephen A Steve steven A delves in it. But there's
other guys that are even more hardcore than steven A.

Steven A have got into a confrontation with him in
face to face and that was about his kid, you know.

But so that's in the sports hot take world that
we live in. That that is an economy. Uh you
can be if you're known as the guy that will
always go you know, uh say, you know, go against
Lebron James, They're going to have somebody that can talk
U the opposite of that, and they go back and forth.
So Lebron James is a very accomplished basketball player. He's
gonna he say, he has set records that are going

to be very difficult to break. He might he doesn't
play the style of basketball that I particularly like, But
I can't sit here and tell you that he's not
a great basketball player.

Do you think that was a good move yesterday to
do this the second decision?
Speaker 4 (16:22):
Absolutely not, But I'm not I wasn't a fan of
the first decision when he tried to do it.

The first decision was an actual decision that the NBA
and I thought that was good, but it flopped like
it was to Miami. No, the way that it was delivered.

The whole kind of thing, this aura that he tries
like that's the argument that people get into. He wants
he wants to have the aura that Jordan had. He
just do but he hasn't done enough aura farming to
earn that yet.

being like a selling smokers or whatever. I'm like, oh,
come on, Snoop, don't do that. But I didn't get
mad at Snoop. I was like, it's kind of this
is what happened. I got mad at Lebron for some reason.

This is what happens when you don't have like people
in your life that are grounded around you. We're like,
they'll be like, yeah, it's all great ideas, Brouni I
love it, Lebron.

But here's the thing, like him, like him and his
crew around a Maverick and all those guys. They've so
they take an l on this one, but they've gotten
eight out of ten right before this. You see what
I'm saying, Like, there's a there's a ton of these.
You're right, it would be would have been awesome, Like hey, dude,
how about we flip it and do it a different way?

But Hennessy's coming out of them with who knows how much.

From from what I've seen, it doesn't look like this

It's again it's a crazy argument, but there there is
the way that we're seeing it. You got to understand
that there's a whole other lane in the space that
think that that was the coolest one.

he's a black dude, very prominent in the black community.

Do black people even like Hennessy?

So when I did the four oh seven yesterday on
Fox thirty five, the story right before me was about
this new football teams, United Football is coming to Orlando
and they're gonna be playing in the soccer stadium, you
know where they there. And they interviewed the owner of

this new and he's from New York and he's like,
I've been to I've lived in Orlando for six years.
I'm like six years. That's adorable. And he's like, and
you know what, since I've been living here, we get
a lot of storms. So I thought we'd name the
team the Storlando Storm. I'm like, don't you understand there
used to be the Tampa Bay Storm that was a
football team in Tampa, So you're taking the Storm name.
Speaker 5 (19:55):
Uh?
Speaker 6 (19:55):
And it was the guy that doesn't know anything about football.
I mean, it was so irritating, and I'm like, okay,
now we're gonna be expected to once again fall into
an NFL or like a football team. Let me give
you the list of the teams that have tried it
here in Orlando, and we have been behind him one
hundred percent, you know, and actually help their ticket sales.
(20:18):
Now it goes all the way back to the Orlando
Panthers back in the day. Now I have a connection
to the Orlando Panthers. My dad got me an Orlando
Panthers football when I was a kid, and all the
guys signed it and they won some championship or something
like that, and my dad gives me the pony. He says,
now you put this in your room. You don't play
with it. Of course I didn't listen. We played with it,
(20:39):
and all the names rubbed off, so I ruined it.
But anyway, there's Orlando Panthers. There was the Florida Blazers,
and I do remember them. The Orlando Renegades. What's different?
What do you remember about the Renegades? Angel? Who is
their quarterback?
Speaker 3 (20:53):
He hate me? I don't know.
Speaker 6 (20:55):
Doug Williams was a quarterback for the Orlando Renegade. Then
there was the Orlando Thun My favorite of all the uniforms.
Orlando Thunder, I had the best uniforms. It was at
Neon Green and uh and it was the World League
and they used to play against Barcelona.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
Awesome.
Speaker 6 (21:12):
That was a good one. I liked that one, but
it failed. Then the Orlando Rage. Now we were all
with the Orlando Rage XFL. We had our own section.
We would march into the you know, march into the stadium,
beating drums and stuff. We had girls flashing. I mean
it was crazy.
Speaker 4 (21:26):
As the first time I saw Bob barri or tattoo
under under boobs. I mean that that changed my life.
Speaker 6 (21:33):
We used to fly with the team to go like
uh like all the all the monsters. We flew up
to the Chicago for a game, and we flew to
some other places all about the Orlando Rage. It was great,
but it failed. After the first season, the Florida Tuskers.
I remember them. They advertised a little bit, but we
didn't go full on Tuskers. I don't think we're full Tuskers.
(21:54):
Then the Orlando Apollos, we were full on Orlando Apollos.
I mean, I'm like, okay, this is gonna work. They
had the coach was the coach from the Gators, Spurrier.
Spurrier was the coach. They were full on and we
filled we sold out sections. It was so much fun.
And then first season they're out.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (22:14):
Then the Orlando Guardians. Angel was a big part of
the Orlando Guardians. You were the DJ, did all the
DJ stuff.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
They were part of that.
Speaker 6 (22:21):
Though.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
We helped set a record for we had the longest
frisbee toss.
Speaker 6 (22:24):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (22:26):
Uh So all about the Orlando Guardians and then the
Orlando Predators. Out of all of these we've mentioned, that
was the most successful and the most fun. And they
won a bunch of championship and that was Arena football,
but at least it was football that was successful. So
now there's a new Orlando football team and I don't know,
I don't know how you guys feel, but do you
feel overwhelmed? Like, come on, man, how do we know
(22:47):
this is going to stick around? How do we know
it's late?
Speaker 7 (22:49):
We don't.
Speaker 6 (22:50):
You don't know it's going to stick around.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
It's a gamble, It's it's a shot in the dark.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
But again, this is the league that the Rock's wife
is the is the president of this is so it's
been sticking around. They've got a TV deal in place already,
so we know that's going to be there. The one
thing I thought that you would really dig is that,
I think for the better of the way that the
visual presentation is that they're going to do the games
at Inter and Co.
Speaker 6 (23:13):
I do like that.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
I think that's good.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
I think that is going to make a huge difference
because the one of the things that hurt everyone a
couple of those other franchises was that either they would
play at Camping World Stadium, they would play at UCF Stadium,
and so even if you had a healthy attendance, it
still looked like the place was half empty. Where if
(23:35):
we go and do the matches of the games here
at Inter and Co easy to get in and out of,
relatively speaking, but everyone knows where those are, and visually
it's gonna look like there's more people there, and it's
gonna present I think a for like for what you're
saying for television, at least it's going to present, you know,
a better look for it instead of playing to half
(23:57):
empty stadiums.
Speaker 3 (23:58):
You know. Yeah, So in that regard, those are the things.
Speaker 6 (24:01):
I can be talked into this. It's just that I'm
a little gun shy because all the other teams we've
poured our heart into have failed, and it sucks to
be all in and then they don't make it, you
know what I'm saying, The like Orlando Rage, And someone said,
you didn't mention Orlando Rage, just I did. That's the
team I told you we used to fly with and
and it was the x FL, and we were all
into the Rage, and there was a big part of
(24:22):
the monsters, the Apollos. We were full on with them
one hundred percent.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
So much so that they still owe us rings.
Speaker 6 (24:31):
They still us rings, and they still they still us money.
They owe us a lot. And we poured our heart
and soul into.
Speaker 7 (24:39):
It, and I guesst our sales gag because of it.
Speaker 6 (24:41):
So my thing is, and we ask our listeners to
be a part of these things, and then they are,
and then they fail. It just sucks. It makes me upset.
So you know, like I just you know, and I
know at some point they're probably gonna come to us
and say, hey, come on, man, monsters. You guys sell tickets.
But I want to how we wanted to stick around
if you're gonna, if we're gonna.
Speaker 7 (25:00):
But that's the part anymore.
Speaker 4 (25:02):
I get what you're saying, and I understand one understand it, right,
But that's the part that we can't control, you know,
the part that we can have. The part that we
can control, Hey, you want you want us to come
to your party.
Speaker 7 (25:14):
This is what we make it as.
Speaker 4 (25:16):
This is what we bring, this is what we do,
and we're very effective at getting the message out and
getting people to come out to this. Please please give
us with respect. And that's the part that's a bummer
in regards to this. It seems like, you know, all
these teams know that they can come to Orlando and
at the very minimum, we put on the times that
(25:38):
we've had decent football teams, the fans have been there.
The times that we haven't had decent football teams, and
the and the the league seems shaky.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
Well, the fan base is going to be shaky, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 7 (25:50):
Who is the team that you made lose because you
were playing bad music?
Speaker 3 (25:56):
Yeah? And it wasn't I was playing bad music.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
They were worried about the wrong thing because even at
that point there were still zero to five.
Speaker 6 (26:03):
I wonder if you know, this is the guy from
New York and he's probably a nice guy. I was
just just mad because all the other teams have failed.
But you know, he's from New York. And I looked
it for six years and and there's a lot of storms.
So I thought we'd call it the Orlando Storms. I
wonder if they looked up. And by the way, uh,
you know, Tampa Bay Storm was a big team football
team in the you know, Arena League. Like you're basically
(26:26):
stealing Tampa Bay's name.
Speaker 5 (26:27):
Well, the problem with Storm is it's too easy to
like hate on it. You have to think about a
team like you're naming a kid, like what is it
rhyme with? How can people make fun of it? And
Storm is like, Okay, the storm came down and it
turns out the storm was more of a drizzle.
Speaker 7 (26:40):
Like there's a lot of that that you can do
about that.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
This is one of those things I think this is
one of those things that this is probably the league
that gave him. Hey, these are the options of the
names that you can have, because if you look at
all the names, right, it's the Stallions, the Aviators, the Renegades,
the Defenders, Gamblers, the Kings, the Storm, the BattleHawks, they're
all pretty generic.
Speaker 6 (27:00):
Renegades we had before the Renegade or landa Renegade.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
Yeah, renegades are where is that at? I just had
They're the Dallas Renegades, so that was already taken. Columbus Aviators. Hey,
the Tuskers. I briefly remember the Tuskers.
Speaker 6 (27:14):
I remember the logo, but that was around a really
short time as well, right like one season maybe it
says Tuskers. That was the United.
Speaker 7 (27:21):
Football League I don't remember.
Speaker 6 (27:24):
And we didn't get behind them. I remember us not
getting behind the Tuskers.
Speaker 5 (27:27):
From two thousand and nine to twenty ten as the Tuskers.
Speaker 6 (27:31):
Yeah, that was a flop flop flop.
Speaker 7 (27:33):
There's still a team somehow.
Speaker 6 (27:35):
In the United Football League.
Speaker 5 (27:37):
Oh no, now there it's a cricket there's a cricket
team here in town called the Tusks.
Speaker 6 (27:41):
Okay, well that's not it.

Yeah, but as far as oh they're it's a hog.
Speaker 6 (27:48):
Yes, I guess we have hogs here. Yeah, it was
like a wild it was like a wild boar.
Speaker 5 (27:52):
But like soon that your team like represent your city
or where you're at or what you're about, a little
bit like the Miami Heat, like at least makes sense
because you're like it's hot. Well, the Magic because we
got Disney and everything.
Speaker 6 (28:03):
The owner, the owner explained it yesterday on Fox thirty five. Well,
he's from New York and when he came down here,
he was surprised at all the storms. So it's a
perfect name, the Orlando Storm.
Speaker 7 (28:12):
I'm like, oh, it's not like Skonkcape is still not taken, right.
Speaker 6 (28:19):
Oh, the Orlando Skuncaves.
Speaker 7 (28:20):
Yeah, pretty cool.
Speaker 6 (28:22):
That is pretty cool. Actually, yeah, really good.
