Speaker 7 (02:15):
Time was that game yesterday because he.
Speaker 3 (02:18):
Was super early they started that match.
Speaker 4 (02:20):
That game was at five thirty puck time because they
had five matches at five games like yesterday to start
the season off.
Speaker 7 (02:27):
Okay, so they was at a gym. It was like
six o'clock and it was like I thought it was
a repeat, no, no.
Speaker 4 (02:31):
No, So they were the first of the five games
yesterday and so basically they after you know, each game
started at the end of the other one obviously, so
but again, congratulations to those boys. Good work on you
real quick. Orlando City is playing this week in Orlando City.
Versus Vancouver is this weekend and Saturday, October the eleventh,
(02:51):
And just a quick reminder, it's the last season, last
home match of the regular season before the playoffs starts,
so let's get out there and support them. It's gonna
be at enter Co obviously. Orlando Pride will be playing
Friday at eight pm. Uh So get out there and
support the franchises, and uh yeah, let's get them ready
for the playoffs. As we were talking early early, early
(03:15):
this morning, the Yankees were able to starve off elimination
as they beat the Blue Jays nine to The.
Speaker 6 (03:21):
Jinks is over. I wore my hat two days in
a row. They win them, they win the game, obviously,
the jinks is over. I won my twenty bucks.
Speaker 5 (03:29):
We understand chat yesterday, Daniel, you know, the good just
good shitty.
Speaker 7 (03:34):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (03:35):
I'm never gonna say his name right, but he's like
to apologize to you. He said he was being a
schmuck about you wearing the Yankees.
Speaker 6 (03:42):
Everybody was being mean to me. That's why I did
not wear the Yankees hat today. You know what for
being so mean to me yesterday? I brought you a win.
Now I'm going to bring you a loss. I didn't
wear the hat. They're gonna lose tonight.
Speaker 5 (03:53):
Well apparently's got one hundred thousand dollars if the Yankees
make it to the world.
Speaker 7 (03:58):
Serious, So he's very very particular about that.
Speaker 6 (04:01):
I got my feelings hurt. I didn't wear the hat
today because I had so many people dogging on me
for wearing the Yankees hat. And then they win last
night nine to six I think it was ninety six.
And well I watched half of it and then went
to sleep and woke up and I saw it was
Aaron Judge hit a couple, a couple dingers, a couple
of home running and uh and they they had nine.
(04:23):
I know they had nine. What was the actual score?
Speaker 3 (04:25):
How many home runs that Aaron Judge hit last night?
Speaker 6 (04:27):
Well, I don't know how many hit I know they
had nine.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
He hit he did a three run dinger, three run dinger.
Speaker 6 (04:33):
There you go. Yeah, he was a star. But what
what was it it was ninety six, right, yeah, so
go Yankees.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
I'm a Yankees fan, are you?
Speaker 5 (04:46):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (04:46):
I used to watch baseball when I was a kid
growing up, and it was always the Yankees.
Speaker 7 (04:49):
Why are you a Yankees fan?
Speaker 6 (04:51):
Well, because my family from the North, So we're gonna
like where we're.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
Yeah, Yankees were last night nine to six, Mariners put
it on the Tigers eight of four. Today we've got
Mariners and Tigers again. That's gonna be at three o'clock
and then Yankees Milwaukee Brewers can wrap it up today
as well at five o'clock. Blue Jays and Yankees. That's
the seven o'clock game, and then the nine o'clock game
(05:17):
is going to be the Phillies versus the Dodgers, and
the Dodgers I think could wrap that up as well,
So we'll see.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
How that goes.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
In football news too, just garbage franchisees decided to make
a deal and as the Browns and the Bengals, and
they've traded off Joe Flacco to the Bengals, and so
Dylan Gabriel is going to be your note your QB
one there and brown Shadors moved up.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
To QB two.
Speaker 4 (05:46):
I feel bad for both of those quarterbacks. Their career,
their NFL careers are significantly cut shorter for playing on
that franchise. Frank Flacco going to the Bengals, how do
y'all feel about that? Bengals fans? The one of you
that lives here in Central Florida, this.
Speaker 5 (06:04):
Is uh yeah, this is a forty year old Joe
Flacco is not an upgrade that the Bengals think that
they're getting some of these.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
Well, they they're just looking for a body.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
Uh they nobody that knows how to throw the ball. Yeah,
that's it's it's basically what they're looking for. So uh
with the Bengals, Joe Burrow still out till December. Jake Browning,
you know, just would throwing way too many interceptions for
their liking.
Speaker 3 (06:26):
So that's why the deal was made.
Speaker 4 (06:30):
How about how did how did how cringy did y'all
feel when we saw the Lebron ad?
Speaker 6 (06:34):
Oh yeah, well before we leave go to the Lebron
can we talk about it still about football? Did you
see Jerry Jones got a two?
Speaker 3 (06:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (06:43):
What do you think he did? Ryan to get a two?
Jerry Jones, owner of the the Dallas Cowboys, got a
two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Fine, what do you
think they find the owner for massage massages? That's pretty good?
Dead uh amber Nov What do you think they find.
Speaker 7 (06:57):
Him for disrespecting the referee?
Speaker 6 (07:00):
You were you're so close, but it wasn't the referee.
He was flicking up giving the finger to Jets fans.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
He got caught on cameras. Not fine, so but again,
and that's what the Jets.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
That's that's one of the rules though, Like, had he
not got caught on camera, yeah, he wouldn't have been fine,
but he got caught on camera.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
And that's why he gets the fine.
Speaker 6 (07:21):
No, they are laughing. I'm looking and he's laughing as
he's doing it, and the Jets fans are laughing too.
Speaker 7 (07:26):
Yeah, he's having fun. Little ribbons.
Speaker 4 (07:29):
That's what I was gonna say. It would be the
same way for an athlete. Guys, Again, they're protecting the
shield of protecting them.
Speaker 7 (07:35):
On the field. Don't do that. Okay, I can agree
with that, but like Jarry Joseph, JK.
Speaker 5 (07:41):
Jonas Bron you suck and he's like, hey, whatever, I'm rich.
Speaker 6 (07:45):
He pointed at him. He put his smiling and he
did that, and he pointed at him like that, and
the fans, the Jet fans were kind of laughing.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
Too, And it wasn't this victim of crime like you guys.
Speaker 6 (07:57):
For the first time on Team Jerry Jones. He shouldn't
be fine too.
Speaker 4 (08:01):
If it was a player, you guys would be losing
your minds. It's the same player if.
Speaker 6 (08:05):
They were laughing. If they were laughing it was a joke.
I don't think I would.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
Care that has happened.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
There been the players that are goofing off with the
fans and it's something inappropriate, and everybody's upletting arms that
the player doesn't get fine. There's never been anyone to
be like, oh, give them the break, the player. We
hold this higher standard to the players than we do
the owner of the franchise.
Speaker 6 (08:25):
No, it's just in that particular case, when I saw
what happened, I'm like that it doesn't. It doesn't. He
was goofing, and they were goofing, and they were so.
Speaker 4 (08:35):
All the owners know and all the players know. You
get caught on camera doing something stupid, you're gonna get fined.
It's they're aware of that rule.
Speaker 6 (08:42):
So you're saying, caught on camera.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
That's the only reason that's so again, that's the only
reason it's an issue is that it was caught on camera.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
He does that. He does that all the time.
Speaker 6 (08:52):
Jerry Jones says it was an accident. He was celebrating
a touchdown. Terry Jones is a lie and he meant
to give the films up instead of instead of a bird.
He's a liar. That makes him a liar. Yeah, because
he meant to shoot the bird.
Speaker 7 (09:05):
Sometimes I confuse my fingers.
Speaker 6 (09:07):
Yeah, you can fight it there. Okay, he said he
said there was a touchdown and there's a thous and
there he gives him a he meant to do that,
So okay, now I'm gonna give you the fu lion.
You know what, I take back what I said. He's
lying about that. You should just say. That's how I
was goofing with the jet fans.
Speaker 7 (09:26):
He is funny like he's like, he's like thoughts that
was scored.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
F j Ryan, You are absolutely correct.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
I agree with you. I huntred for agree with you.
But those guys everybody knows if you get caught on camera,
then it becomes a different thing.
Speaker 3 (09:38):
That's the only reason. That's the only the only thing
he did wrong was get caught out.
Speaker 5 (09:42):
He should have to pay for like what is essentially
a McLaren for, like a middle finger.
Speaker 7 (09:46):
I thought, this is America, man, I thought we have
freedom of speech.
Speaker 5 (09:48):
I say, find him, but ten grand I know it's
nothing to him, But so it's two hundred fifty thousand
for Jerry Jones.
Speaker 6 (09:55):
Two hundred fifty thousand is nothing. He's like, whatever, fine here.
You know, he might just starting. He might walk into
the stadium next time. He just shooting stubble birds like
I got that money.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
He should do it like that one guy did for
the Patriots and pay it in pennies. Remember when that
guy loaded up a dump truck with pennies and just
dropped it in the middle of the street.
Speaker 6 (10:13):
That's hilarious.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
I know.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
We'll wrap up Monster Sports with Connor McGregor. Oh what
fool this genius.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
He's accepted the UFC suspending him for eighteen months. Why
what do you do again? We everybody's been hoping, you know,
fingers cross all, Connor's gonna come back. Connor's gonna say
about Connor's gonna begin.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
No, no, no, no, no no.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
And there's a reason why he hasn't fought in almost
two years.
Speaker 6 (10:40):
Years.
Speaker 5 (10:40):
Last thing I saw he was talking about, like the
fight at the White House Lawn was booked, ready to go.
Speaker 4 (10:45):
He's if they do okay, let's put it this way.
If they do that event in the next eighteen months,
he's not going to be a part of it. And
the reason being is drugs anti doping. He got busted
for a performance enhancement drugs.
Speaker 6 (10:58):
Really, yeah, I wouldn't think he'd do something like that. No,
by the White House has the event has been confirmed
for June the fourteenth of of six, then twenty twenty six,
so he might be able to come back it's confirmed.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Yeah, yeah he will.
Speaker 4 (11:14):
Okay, so he won't be able to return to competition
until March twenty twenty six, So that puts a right on.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
Track to be able to be there for that event. Yeah,
there we go, and that's monster sports.
Speaker 6 (11:25):
I got a couple more sports things I want to
talk about. We can talk. We definitely need to talk
about Lebron James, and I want to talk about about
another Orlando football team. We'll talk about that when we
come back. Don't go anywhere. You're listening to the manch
in the morning. Hey, thanks for listening to the Manches
(11:50):
Morning grelready one oh four point one. I hope you
having a nice drive to work. If you're already there,
I appreciate you. Listen also live on our YouTube channel,
Real Radio Monsters on YouTube. I guess Ryan's playing a
little game with you right now.
Speaker 7 (12:05):
We're playing wordle.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
It's a hard wordle today rush hard wordle.
Speaker 7 (12:09):
I don't know if I'm gonna get this one.
Speaker 3 (12:10):
Today is a word inaugural, it is not okay.
Speaker 6 (12:16):
And Banova here today a little bit later on Amberanova's
conspiracy theories. Uh, you'll you get to hear that. And
then of course Angel here and I still know a
little bit of Monster Sports, So yeah, you brought up
the Lebron and I knew we need more time to
talk about this Lebron James thing. Yesterday the second decision, Uh,
and what a listen. I always keep it in my mind.
(12:38):
I'm like, why do people hate on Lebron so much?
I mean, he's a good player, seems like a nice guy. Uh,
you know, I don't know what the deal is, and
some people hate him so much and and and yesterday
I saw it for the first time that dumb ass
look on his face when it ended up being he
makes it seem like it's gonna be this big decision
that affected the ticket sales, you know for the Lakers.
A lot of people you know, bought that tickets where
(12:59):
they thought it was gonna be the fine no time
you see him and you know all this stuff, and
he kind of uh, you know, uh fished everybody in
and then turns out this big decision, this big it
was called the Second Big Decision was a commercial for
Hennessy and something about the dumb ass look on his
face when when they announced it made me mad. I
was like, oh, I see now, I see why people
(13:20):
don't like him. I get it because this is a
it's kind of crappy. A lot of people bought bout
ta thinking that, you know, this was going to be
his final season and he basically just roped you in
for a Hennessy commercial.
Speaker 7 (13:33):
What a dick move?
Speaker 6 (13:35):
You agree?
Speaker 7 (13:36):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (13:36):
I knew that. I knew. I have to I have
to wonder what's wrong with me.
Speaker 5 (13:40):
He told you guys yesterday it's going to be an ad.
It's just going to be an ad for something, and uh,
here we are. Because he's a businessman, you know, he
knows how to get the garner of the attention. But
at this point, now I won't drink Hennessy because of it,
but I also.
Speaker 6 (13:54):
Before I never drink Hennessee. Before, yeah, I.
Speaker 5 (13:58):
Would drink a lot of Hennessy and hypn and Bernova.
You did not little old incredible hulk back in the day,
the little.
Speaker 6 (14:05):
Blue bottles and everyone thought was cool in high school. Yeah,
seems like he's always competing to be like, you know,
better than Michael Jordan. Kind of the thing. People always
pit those two against each other. We do that.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
He doesn't do that.
Speaker 6 (14:16):
He doesn't do that, but you know, yeah people do.
I mean they try to compare the two or whatever.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
But that's an industry.
Speaker 6 (14:22):
He just doesn't have. He just doesn't have the appeal
that Michael Jordan did have. Now, now, I know, you're
probably right if we all got if there would have
been social media back then, we might not have liked
Michael Jordan either, you know, because we really didn't know
much about him so which was probably part of the appeal.
And he had a nice smile and he would promote
something and we're like, oh, I'm gonna buy that because
(14:43):
Michael By, he Lebron James not the same nothing saying
people aren't gonna go running to buy Hennessy because you know.
Speaker 4 (14:50):
You say that, Russ, and I get it, and I
understand where you're coming from, but understand the same way
that there are stands for Michael Jordan, there are Lebron
James stands. And again, he doesn't get to where he's
been as far as popularity and and this is he
popular one hundred.
Speaker 7 (15:05):
And sixty million people on Instagram.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Rush yes, Russ, and he's got these you know, He's
why do I see.
Speaker 6 (15:10):
So much negative about it?
Speaker 7 (15:11):
Because there's a right wing element to that.
Speaker 4 (15:13):
And there's and and and it's an industry. Like when
I tell you it's an industry. There are there are broadcasters,
there are guys that are talking heads on these sports
channels who have made a career out of being, Hey,
he's never going to be Michael Jordan. He's not better
than Michael Jordan. And in the world, in that sphere
of sports world, hot take kind of thing, stephen A Smith,
(15:36):
stephen A Steve steven A delves in it. But there's
other guys that are even more hardcore than steven A.
Speaker 6 (15:42):
Steven A have got into a confrontation with him in
face to face and that was about his kid, you know.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
But so that's in the sports hot take world that
we live in. That that is an economy. Uh you
can be if you're known as the guy that will
always go you know, uh say, you know, go against
Lebron James, They're going to have somebody that can talk
U the opposite of that, and they go back and forth.
So Lebron James is a very accomplished basketball player. He's
gonna he say, he has set records that are going
(16:09):
to be very difficult to break. He might he doesn't
play the style of basketball that I particularly like, But
I can't sit here and tell you that he's not
a great basketball player.
Speaker 6 (16:18):
Do you think that was a good move yesterday to
do this the second decision?
Speaker 4 (16:22):
Absolutely not, But I'm not I wasn't a fan of
the first decision when he tried to do it.
Speaker 3 (16:26):
Well.
Speaker 6 (16:26):
The first decision was an actual decision that the NBA
and I thought that was good, but it flopped like
it was to Miami. No, the way that it was delivered.
Speaker 4 (16:35):
The whole kind of thing, this aura that he tries
like that's the argument that people get into. He wants
he wants to have the aura that Jordan had. He
just do but he hasn't done enough aura farming to
earn that yet.
Speaker 6 (16:49):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
And so it's all you know six even.
Speaker 6 (16:52):
Something about that, that that dumb ass look on his face,
Like for you to say.
Speaker 4 (16:55):
That's the first time that you've seen that dom As look,
because he's done.
Speaker 6 (16:58):
That a lot for me, and for me it was
the first time they confirmed. Oh I see why people
don't like him.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
Now.
Speaker 6 (17:04):
I get that because because it's like, okay, yeah, like
a full y'all, it's a commercial for Hennessy's, Like, oh,
come on, man, I didn't even listen. I mean, I
didn't even like it when Snoop Dogg did, And I
like Snoop Dogg. When Snoop Dogg did, that ended up
being like a selling smokers or whatever. I'm like, oh,
come on, Snoop, don't do that. But I didn't get
mad at Snoop. I was like, it's kind of this
is what happened. I got mad at Lebron for some reason.
Speaker 5 (17:25):
This is what happens when you don't have like people
in your life that are grounded around you. We're like,
they'll be like, yeah, it's all great ideas, Brouni I
love it, Lebron.
Speaker 4 (17:34):
But here's the thing, like him, like him and his
crew around a Maverick and all those guys. They've so
they take an l on this one, but they've gotten
eight out of ten right before this. You see what
I'm saying, Like, there's a there's a ton of these.
You're right, it would be would have been awesome, Like hey, dude,
how about we flip it and do it a different way?
Speaker 6 (17:51):
You know?
Speaker 4 (17:51):
But Hennessy's coming out of them with who knows how much.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Money, and he's you know, and a lot. Yeah, and
I'm I am at the end of this. Is this
right now?
Speaker 5 (18:00):
You know?
Speaker 6 (18:00):
Do you think it's going to be in the long run?
From from what I've seen, it doesn't look like this
is positive for Hennessy. But maybe we go back to hey, listen,
as long as our name is getting mentioned, then it's
worth it.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
I'm telling you, dude.
Speaker 4 (18:12):
It's again it's a crazy argument, but there there is
the way that we're seeing it. You got to understand
that there's a whole other lane in the space that
think that that was the coolest one.
Speaker 5 (18:21):
Imagine, Like the thing is, though, like I don't know,
he's a black dude, very prominent in the black community.
Speaker 7 (18:27):
Do black people even like Hennessy?
Speaker 6 (18:29):
Yeah, that was the joke back in the day. Is
that's all that black people drank was Hennessy? What way
are you making a funny face?
Speaker 3 (18:38):
That was the joke.
Speaker 6 (18:39):
Oh you were kidding. No, I thought you didn't know.
Speaker 7 (18:47):
You tell me more about things than black people.
Speaker 6 (18:50):
Removed from the black community. People really like him a thing,
you know, you got me. I thought, I thought, you
really didn't know my bad. Oh okay, well, moving on now. Okay,
(19:13):
So when I did the four oh seven yesterday on
Fox thirty five, the story right before me was about
this new football teams, United Football is coming to Orlando
and they're gonna be playing in the soccer stadium, you
know where they there. And they interviewed the owner of
(19:34):
this new and he's from New York and he's like,
I've been to I've lived in Orlando for six years.
I'm like six years. That's adorable. And he's like, and
you know what, since I've been living here, we get
a lot of storms. So I thought we'd name the
team the Storlando Storm. I'm like, don't you understand there
used to be the Tampa Bay Storm that was a
football team in Tampa, So you're taking the Storm name.
Speaker 5 (19:55):
Uh?
Speaker 6 (19:55):
And it was the guy that doesn't know anything about football.
I mean, it was so irritating, and I'm like, okay,
now we're gonna be expected to once again fall into
an NFL or like a football team. Let me give
you the list of the teams that have tried it
here in Orlando, and we have been behind him one
hundred percent, you know, and actually help their ticket sales.
(20:18):
Now it goes all the way back to the Orlando
Panthers back in the day. Now I have a connection
to the Orlando Panthers. My dad got me an Orlando
Panthers football when I was a kid, and all the
guys signed it and they won some championship or something
like that, and my dad gives me the pony. He says,
now you put this in your room. You don't play
with it. Of course I didn't listen. We played with it,
(20:39):
and all the names rubbed off, so I ruined it.
But anyway, there's Orlando Panthers. There was the Florida Blazers,
and I do remember them. The Orlando Renegades. What's different?
What do you remember about the Renegades? Angel? Who is
their quarterback?
Speaker 3 (20:53):
He hate me? I don't know.
Speaker 6 (20:55):
Doug Williams was a quarterback for the Orlando Renegade. Then
there was the Orlando Thun My favorite of all the uniforms.
Orlando Thunder, I had the best uniforms. It was at
Neon Green and uh and it was the World League
and they used to play against Barcelona.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
Awesome.
Speaker 6 (21:12):
That was a good one. I liked that one, but
it failed. Then the Orlando Rage. Now we were all
with the Orlando Rage XFL. We had our own section.
We would march into the you know, march into the stadium,
beating drums and stuff. We had girls flashing. I mean
it was crazy.
Speaker 4 (21:26):
As the first time I saw Bob barri or tattoo
under under boobs. I mean that that changed my life.
Speaker 6 (21:33):
We used to fly with the team to go like
uh like all the all the monsters. We flew up
to the Chicago for a game, and we flew to
some other places all about the Orlando Rage. It was great,
but it failed. After the first season, the Florida Tuskers.
I remember them. They advertised a little bit, but we
didn't go full on Tuskers. I don't think we're full Tuskers.
(21:54):
Then the Orlando Apollos, we were full on Orlando Apollos.
I mean, I'm like, okay, this is gonna work. They
had the coach was the coach from the Gators, Spurrier.
Spurrier was the coach. They were full on and we
filled we sold out sections. It was so much fun.
And then first season they're out.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (22:14):
Then the Orlando Guardians. Angel was a big part of
the Orlando Guardians. You were the DJ, did all the
DJ stuff.
Speaker 3 (22:20):
They were part of that.
Speaker 6 (22:21):
Though.
Speaker 4 (22:21):
We helped set a record for we had the longest
frisbee toss.
Speaker 6 (22:24):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (22:26):
Uh So all about the Orlando Guardians and then the
Orlando Predators. Out of all of these we've mentioned, that
was the most successful and the most fun. And they
won a bunch of championship and that was Arena football,
but at least it was football that was successful. So
now there's a new Orlando football team and I don't know,
I don't know how you guys feel, but do you
feel overwhelmed? Like, come on, man, how do we know
(22:47):
this is going to stick around? How do we know
it's late?
Speaker 7 (22:49):
We don't.
Speaker 6 (22:50):
You don't know it's going to stick around.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
It's a gamble, It's it's a shot in the dark.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
But again, this is the league that the Rock's wife
is the is the president of this is so it's
been sticking around. They've got a TV deal in place already,
so we know that's going to be there. The one
thing I thought that you would really dig is that,
I think for the better of the way that the
visual presentation is that they're going to do the games
at Inter and Co.
Speaker 6 (23:13):
I do like that.
Speaker 3 (23:13):
I think that's good.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
I think that is going to make a huge difference
because the one of the things that hurt everyone a
couple of those other franchises was that either they would
play at Camping World Stadium, they would play at UCF Stadium,
and so even if you had a healthy attendance, it
still looked like the place was half empty. Where if
(23:35):
we go and do the matches of the games here
at Inter and Co easy to get in and out of,
relatively speaking, but everyone knows where those are, and visually
it's gonna look like there's more people there, and it's
gonna present I think a for like for what you're
saying for television, at least it's going to present, you know,
a better look for it instead of playing to half
(23:57):
empty stadiums.
Speaker 3 (23:58):
You know. Yeah, So in that regard, those are the things.
Speaker 6 (24:01):
I can be talked into this. It's just that I'm
a little gun shy because all the other teams we've
poured our heart into have failed, and it sucks to
be all in and then they don't make it, you
know what I'm saying, The like Orlando Rage, And someone said,
you didn't mention Orlando Rage, just I did. That's the
team I told you we used to fly with and
and it was the x FL, and we were all
into the Rage, and there was a big part of
(24:22):
the monsters, the Apollos. We were full on with them
one hundred percent.
Speaker 3 (24:28):
So much so that they still owe us rings.
Speaker 6 (24:31):
They still us rings, and they still they still us money.
They owe us a lot. And we poured our heart
and soul into.
Speaker 7 (24:39):
It, and I guesst our sales gag because of it.
Speaker 6 (24:41):
So my thing is, and we ask our listeners to
be a part of these things, and then they are,
and then they fail. It just sucks. It makes me upset.
So you know, like I just you know, and I
know at some point they're probably gonna come to us
and say, hey, come on, man, monsters. You guys sell tickets.
But I want to how we wanted to stick around
if you're gonna, if we're gonna.
Speaker 7 (25:00):
But that's the part anymore.
Speaker 4 (25:02):
I get what you're saying, and I understand one understand it, right,
But that's the part that we can't control, you know,
the part that we can have. The part that we
can control, Hey, you want you want us to come
to your party.
Speaker 7 (25:14):
This is what we make it as.
Speaker 4 (25:16):
This is what we bring, this is what we do,
and we're very effective at getting the message out and
getting people to come out to this. Please please give
us with respect. And that's the part that's a bummer
in regards to this. It seems like, you know, all
these teams know that they can come to Orlando and
at the very minimum, we put on the times that
(25:38):
we've had decent football teams, the fans have been there.
The times that we haven't had decent football teams, and
the and the the league seems shaky.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
Well, the fan base is going to be shaky, you
know what I mean.
Speaker 7 (25:50):
Who is the team that you made lose because you
were playing bad music?
Speaker 3 (25:56):
Yeah? And it wasn't I was playing bad music.
Speaker 4 (25:59):
They were worried about the wrong thing because even at
that point there were still zero to five.
Speaker 6 (26:03):
I wonder if you know, this is the guy from
New York and he's probably a nice guy. I was
just just mad because all the other teams have failed.
But you know, he's from New York. And I looked
it for six years and and there's a lot of storms.
So I thought we'd call it the Orlando Storms. I
wonder if they looked up. And by the way, uh,
you know, Tampa Bay Storm was a big team football
team in the you know, Arena League. Like you're basically
(26:26):
stealing Tampa Bay's name.
Speaker 5 (26:27):
Well, the problem with Storm is it's too easy to
like hate on it. You have to think about a
team like you're naming a kid, like what is it
rhyme with? How can people make fun of it? And
Storm is like, Okay, the storm came down and it
turns out the storm was more of a drizzle.
Speaker 7 (26:40):
Like there's a lot of that that you can do
about that.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
This is one of those things I think this is
one of those things that this is probably the league
that gave him. Hey, these are the options of the
names that you can have, because if you look at
all the names, right, it's the Stallions, the Aviators, the Renegades,
the Defenders, Gamblers, the Kings, the Storm, the BattleHawks, they're
all pretty generic.
Speaker 6 (27:00):
Renegades we had before the Renegade or landa Renegade.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
Yeah, renegades are where is that at? I just had
They're the Dallas Renegades, so that was already taken. Columbus Aviators. Hey,
the Tuskers. I briefly remember the Tuskers.
Speaker 6 (27:14):
I remember the logo, but that was around a really
short time as well, right like one season maybe it
says Tuskers. That was the United.
Speaker 7 (27:21):
Football League I don't remember.
Speaker 6 (27:24):
And we didn't get behind them. I remember us not
getting behind the Tuskers.
Speaker 5 (27:27):
From two thousand and nine to twenty ten as the Tuskers.
Speaker 6 (27:31):
Yeah, that was a flop flop flop.
Speaker 7 (27:33):
There's still a team somehow.
Speaker 6 (27:35):
In the United Football League.
Speaker 5 (27:37):
Oh no, now there it's a cricket there's a cricket
team here in town called the Tusks.
Speaker 6 (27:41):
Okay, well that's not it.
Speaker 7 (27:42):
Yeah, but as far as oh they're it's a hog.
Speaker 6 (27:48):
Yes, I guess we have hogs here. Yeah, it was
like a wild it was like a wild boar.
Speaker 5 (27:52):
But like soon that your team like represent your city
or where you're at or what you're about, a little
bit like the Miami Heat, like at least makes sense
because you're like it's hot. Well, the Magic because we
got Disney and everything.
Speaker 6 (28:03):
The owner, the owner explained it yesterday on Fox thirty five. Well,
he's from New York and when he came down here,
he was surprised at all the storms. So it's a
perfect name, the Orlando Storm.
Speaker 7 (28:12):
I'm like, oh, it's not like Skonkcape is still not taken, right.
Speaker 6 (28:19):
Oh, the Orlando Skuncaves.
Speaker 7 (28:20):
Yeah, pretty cool.
Speaker 6 (28:22):
That is pretty cool. Actually, yeah, really good.
Speaker 7 (28:24):
You know you support the sconcames.
Speaker 6 (28:26):
Yeah, that'll be all about the skuncave. Yeah, all right,
now we take a little break to come back. We
got friendly Ray Trendley. You don't go anywhere you're listening
to the Mans of the Morning.
