Speaker 1 (02:40):
Russ up first.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
All right, So or Lead the Magic are playing the
San Antonio Spurs today here at the Kia Center. A
couple of things, so it doesn't look like we're gonna
get to see Wimby. He's still out with his calf injury.
So it'll probably be next season when we get a
chance to see him, unless we run into with the playoffs. Now,
what's the other part about it is and we'll see
(03:02):
waiting in tentatively to see what the Orlando Magics say.
We potentially could see the return limited minutes, limited action
for Polo with his groin injury, so that would be
that would be a good thing to see from him.
Hopefully we'll see how how the Magic decided to do
that again. They're going up against the San Antonio Spurs today. Spurs,
even without Wemby, they're still fourteen and sixteen or fourteen
(03:26):
and six sorry, and the Orlando Magic are thirteen and
eight currently in the rankings, so are our records.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
So we'll see how that goes. And another really interesting.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
And weird move Russ Chris Paul.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Have you heard of Chris Paul.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
He's point guard NBA plays played for a handful of
different teams now, so Chris Paul, NBA plays for the Clippers.
Clippers are abysmal right now right, They're a dumpster fire.
They're a dumpty fire, not good at all. Yesterday, Chris Paul,
who's under contract, he's been he's under contract for through
the season, was told it was sent home. Paul was
(04:04):
sent home by the franchise Tuesday night, in the middle
of their five game road trip, and uh basically told them,
you know what, we don't need your services, even though
you're under contract and everything.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Wow, we're sending you home. We don't want we don't
want to do something like, uh, you know in the
locker room that.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
Nope, Chris Paul is going to be a He's he'll
be a Hall of Famer. There's no indications or nothing
indicating as of right now that there was anything, but
that doesn't make sense.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
He may peep has somebody off.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
But well they're they're not playing well, and the GM
basically says that, hey, this is uh, this is on me.
We are partying ways with Chrisfield no longer be with
the team. Clippers president Lawrence Frankson in a statement, Uh,
we will work with him on the next steps of
his career. Chris is a Livingdarry Clipper who had a
historic career. And I want to make one thing very clear.
(04:52):
No one is blaming Chris for underperformance. I accept responsibility
for the record that we have right now.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
There are a lot of reasons why we struggled.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
We're grateful for the impact Chris has made on the franchise. Again,
that's from the team president Lauris frank So, even though
Chris Paul is under contract to make one year deal
with three point six million dollars, he.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Was sent home go home. Wow, even though he's under.
Speaker 4 (05:15):
Contract, must have been disruptive in some kind of way.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Must have been we had the So college football playoff
was announced last night, RUSS. The brackets. Yeah, some controversy,
some people not happy.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
We know who's gonna be playing in the uh the
Bowl and the Cure Bowl.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Not yet, not yet. So this is for the college
football Playoff. And when I say these things, I'm looking
squarely at University of Miami fans. They're not happy right now.
So the way that the bracket is set up right now, RUSS, So,
Alabama and Oklahoma will play against each other. Ole Miss
(05:58):
is going to play the winner of conference, champion of
the ACC without their coach. Were potentially out there, you know,
without the coach. But yeah, they're gonna be fine. Notre
games in even though University of Miami beat Notre Dame.
Notre Dame's in. They're playing Texas A and m University
of Miami's not in it.
Speaker 1 (06:15):
They gotta they gotta win the a SEC tournament.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Oh wow, that sucks sitting there waiting for these teams
in the quarterfinals. You got Indiana, Georgia, Ohio State, and
Texas Tech. Basically they're all getting first round byes. Uh
So that was announced last night. And yeah, so we'll
see again, We've got some interesting games. These games will
(06:39):
happen in RUSS December nineteenth through the twentieth, So we
got a couple of weeks for this first round of.
Speaker 5 (06:44):
The clor two Ohio States eventually win over Georgia National champion.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
Is that who you're that's who you're calling out? Yep,
you're not.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
You're not gonna call for the run of the University
of Miami winning the ACC, getting in and then running
through the rough shot through the playoff and winning the
national championship.
Speaker 5 (07:02):
No, because playing that one extra game is gonna hurt
you as a team overall, and they're gonna go in
with a chip on their shoulder, and that I think
that tends to be more of a detriment than a
beneficial initial.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
I uh, we'll see, we'll see.
Speaker 5 (07:18):
Sorry Miami fans, but seems like you guys got hates
Florida teams.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
I think it seems like you guys got a job
in my opinion.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
So yeah, no, no, that's I saw.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Okay, So a lot of times you'll just talk about it.
I'm like, I can almost vision of what you're saying,
and then I actually see it. I'm like, oh my god,
this is worth talking about more so that guy, the
guy that plays for a University of Florida and basketball,
that eight foot tall kid that came in.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
But if Florida played duke class night, they almost got him.
Dupe beat him last night.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Oh really, I was curious about how well he plays.
I think I saw a video and it was like
Shaquille O'Neal turning around and then he slowly has to
look up to that kid. It's like, damn, this kid
is so tall.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
It's almost too. It's weird too. It's it's weird to say.
And we'll see if there's a way to develop him
so he's not so like, let's put it this way,
like Wimby. What Wimby has is that he's athletic. For
that for his side he does. He doesn't look like
Andre the Giant looked right. He looks like well proportioned.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
Like he's just like a huge eight foot tall guy.
I know he's seven nine, but let's take eight foot
tall guy. And then when it comes to putting the
ball in the basket, it's just like you're right there.
It's it's yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:36):
So he became the Guinness World Record the tallest teenager
at one point.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
Uh, his name is Oliver. Where's he from? Roe?
Speaker 2 (08:47):
I think it is row r R I O U X.
Where the hell is that? And he's seven foot nine. Yeah,
he's French. I do not know his origin. Canadian.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
He's from Canada. Okay, he's from Uh. Yeah, so he's
not that he's not that great of a player yet.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
He's just really super He's super tall and almost set
the verge of kind of being too and and and like.
And that's what I was saying when you compare him
to Wimma for the San Antonio Spurs, he's that kid
is seven seven seven a. But he's athletic. He moves,
he moves really freakently well, like almost as if he
were an alien from outer space. Yeah, this kid still
(09:28):
moves like he's got cinder blocks for feet.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
All right, So yeah, I mean for defense though, I
mean I can imagine that. You know, it'd be hard
to over on a collegiate level.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Yeah, but we had a guys, a guy like that
was defensively like Sean Bradley.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
Do you remember him? I do remember Sean. So he's
similar to that. In the NBA game, he wasn't good.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
He was all had a couple you could push him
around easily, but he was he was slight. So what
I'm saying with this guy though, yeah he's defensively he's yeah,
he's gonna be huge. But the way that the the
game has evolved and we're all where you've got seven
footers bringing the ball down, you got seven footers shooting
a three, his game is kind of around the basket
(10:10):
right now. Okay, if he expands it and he shows
the ability for lateral movement, better movement, potentially he could
develop into something. And that's how he ends up at
University of Florida. Let's see if he could, you know,
become lighter afoot, it's gonna be the biggest thing for
that can All.
Speaker 1 (10:25):
Right, we'll taking a break another I have another sports question.
I want to ask you. We can do that when
we come back. Don't go anywhere. You're listening to the
match in the morning. So when uh just sent me
(10:56):
a mess, just hey, list I'm thinking about bringing my
girl to the Burless show this Friday night. Is it
a good date night thing? It is a good date
night thing. You're gonna have a great time. All of
us are gonna be there. You're gonna enjoy it. It's uh,
it's this coming Friday night. It's our last big event
of the year. You got Angelique, the Dance, the Queen, Ambernova, Uh,
(11:18):
Daisy del Toro all there. Angel's gonna be uh spending tunes.
He's gonna be uh you know, D Jay and Ryan
and I are gonna host it. It's gonna be a
great time. Get your ticket. The remaining tickets are available
right now at real radiomonsters dot com. That's real radiomonsters
dot com. Ambernova here with us today. Two times m
w a wrestling champion.
Speaker 6 (11:36):
You why is.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
It two times? She was? She won it two times? Well,
what happened for twenty two times? Though we can focus
on the winds, we only focus on the wins. We
don't focus on the ass the congratulations to you. I
was just want to clarification.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
I didn't understand.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
I don't know if there was like two belts. I
didn't know. I know, Hey, she has an opportunity now though,
to win the belt back. If she can win in
January against j. C. Love in the revenge match, then
you will be able to be the main event at
Earthday Birthday for a big MW A match we have
at Earthday Birthday.
Speaker 6 (12:12):
This year, very big opportunity.
Speaker 7 (12:14):
So you hit the ground running hard come January January sixteenth.
Speaker 6 (12:19):
Got to win that match?
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Yeah, all right, and we'll see if Teal Piper, I
mean Teal Piper has a really tough match against some
against Island Girl Taylor or Tracy Taylor, who is a
she's a big deal. Actually, I didn't realize that she's like.
Speaker 6 (12:32):
A wresting a long time.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
She's been wrestling a while and she's on while wrestling
and still really really super competitive. So I don't know,
Teal Piper.
Speaker 6 (12:41):
Might not be the champ, might not be the champion anymore.
Speaker 1 (12:44):
Would you rather wrestle? Who would you rather wrestle? If
you win against Ja C Love, who would you rather wrestle?
At Earthday Birthday?
Speaker 7 (12:51):
I really want another opportunity to beat the hell out
of Teal for what she did, and I've already beat
her once, so I need to prove to myself that
I can be I'm not scared to say that I
will be happy to wrestle her again.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
Okay, so you so you would rather her retain her title?
Speaker 6 (13:07):
Really Dukes.
Speaker 7 (13:08):
I want to prove to myself that I've already beat
you once. Now I have to do it twice. Okay,
it's not I beat this other chick. She's got she's
got s to talk.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
Okay, got you all right? That makes sense? Okay? Other
sports related you know me loosely sports related Angel Jason Jason. Yeah.
Do you know who John Peters is? John peteraz John Peters.
He's not an athlete. He is a film producer, and
he has produced some of my favorite films of all time,
like Boy Like Wild Wild West, and The Superman Returns
(13:38):
in the Main Event and Caddy Shack Caddy Shack Too,
Tangoing Cash Batman, which is of East Wig Vision Quest.
Speaker 7 (13:46):
No.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
I like Tangoing Cash Vision Quest one of my favorite
wrestling movies ever. He did Batman Returns, The Legend of
Billy Jean Ali and I'll Stop at Ali Okay. And
he did a bunch of other movies are Muhammad Ali,
Ali with with with Will Smith because of that rain Man.
(14:07):
He's done a bunch of just incredible movies. Well. He
he also used to box in his day, right, and
he did the Ali movie and he says he knows
everything and there is no about boxing. He has placed
a bet in Vegas angel for five million dollars for
Jake Paul to beat Anthony Joshua. He bet, he bet
(14:29):
five million dollars and I heard an interview with him
and they were at like, why would you do that?
I mean, have you seen Anthony Joshua. This guy's a
real boxer. He's much bigger, and he's convinced and he
I guess he knows Jake Paul. Uh, and he's like listen, uh,
and this is what he said. I don't know. He said,
to punch up you have a there's more torque or
(14:53):
something like that. Punching up you get a better punch
than punching down. And he does not believe that Anthony
Joshua is going to be able to beat Jake Paul.
And he bet five million dollars not only that Jake
Paul will beat him, but that Jake Paul will knock
him out in the first round. He bet five million
dollars on that, and he said that his other family
(15:13):
members did as well. And if they win, if Jake
Paul knock knocks him out in the first round, they
will win twenty five million dollars.
Speaker 7 (15:23):
Man, it's rigged like the Tyson fight. If you ask me,
that's too much money to just willy nilly.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Well, they can't. They can't. I mean, I say they can't,
but legally they can't rig boxing matches like that.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
They can and cannot. Right, you're correct. And it's and
it's real jail. It's real federal prison that you go
to for fixing boxing matches. Yeah, that's a real thing.
So and this is a legit quote unquote boxing match.
And is it in Vegas? I don't even know where
it's at. I was gonna ask a.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Question, though, do you think that because he knows Jake Paul,
that maybe Jake Paul say, hey, listen, let's do this
game up where you bet five million dollars on me,
because that'll make some interest in this. Now, you can't,
I don't think you can. You can't do that. No,
I don't.
Speaker 2 (16:06):
I don't think you can because that would be like
that would be misleading the public.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
Rightan, can you pull up a picture of Jake Paul
and then a picture of this Anthony Joshua Because Anthony
Joshua is a beast. It is huge, and he's not
a has been.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
Is he is and all Jake Paul is still Josh's
still in the mix, dude.
Speaker 4 (16:25):
He's I hate Jake Paul, so I don't.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
Like him either, but uh and I would love.
Speaker 5 (16:31):
To see him all a fraud his all his fights
are frauds. I don't understand why we still as people
follow this guy.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
It's interesting though that someone had bet five million dollars
on him, But maybe that's the hook. Maybe that's the gimmick,
Maybe that's the you know.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
You got to see what what I would say is
an indicator of this thing. So if see what Vegas like,
what the odds are in Vegas, see what they're doing.
Speaker 1 (16:55):
Well because of the odds. That's why he said if
he wins, he'll win like twenty five day.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
But see where the money is at and see what
they and see what's going on there, because if there's
any kind of hint of collusion, the Vegas gambling will
step in and shut it all down and then you
can't bet on it.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Yeah, when is this fight? Does it say? It's in Miami?
Show down in Miami? When is it Ryan?
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Does it say December nineteenth?
Speaker 1 (17:22):
December nineteen, so it's around the corner. Most people were
not talking about this, But now that you got this
big producer who bet five million on it, it's makeing.
You know, it's got TMZ news, it's been on my
new Steed and stuff, so it's it's made it interesting
because someone bets so much. Without that, people weren't talking
about it. So that does make me question the bet,
right It's like, why would someone bet.
Speaker 5 (17:43):
Finally bad but the bad things happened to the Paul brothers.
I don't know, like the same way I have the
thing for old Eyes too close together Glenn Powell, but
the Paul brothers are actually bad people.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
In my personal opinion.
Speaker 6 (17:57):
Is that because I'll be honest, I'm glad.
Speaker 5 (17:59):
They're drinking company failed the Prime. Yeah, Prime's going to Hill.
Speaker 4 (18:03):
Oh yeah. Look.
Speaker 7 (18:05):
I've seen the Jake brothers when they were just posting
silly YouTube videos and then you know, they got out
of that and they grew up and they're both pretty
athletic and very talented. So I'm not going to discredit
the fact that, like Logan, Paul has done so much
in the WWE. They're really great on their podcast. Jake
he is a good fighter. They're really fit, they're in
great shape. I can't discredit the fact that these guys did.
Speaker 5 (18:26):
Build not a good fighter, though he'd he puts these
fights together and he fights them well. He's not going
up in the ranks and like fighting his way to
the top.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
He's paying for this particular fight is sanctioned and like
it's a real boxing match.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
That this is different than what the exhibitions that they've
done before. This is what I'm trying to say. And
with Anthony Joshua, he's a legitimate heavyweight. He just not
that long ago was in a title match. This is
a tune up fight for him. He's already got his
next fight booked and it's again it's a title match.
Speaker 5 (18:55):
Paul, I don't understand why people care because he is
not a great fighter.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
People care because they want they don't They're like you,
they don't like him and they want to see him
get knocked out. That's why people care.
Speaker 5 (19:05):
But have seen them do the fights now and then
the thing, even with him getting knocked out, it's still
a payday for this guy, like a massive payday. So
that annoys me as well, you know what I mean,
Like they're just hating no matter what happened. Maybe maybe
I'm okay with the mint and being a hater. That
doesn't discount my argument.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
Yeah, it doesn't diminish it. And the other part of
it is is like I get with Amber, I get
what you're saying, where people have seen these guys from
back in what was that app that was the seven Seconds,
the Vine Days and then all that kind of stuff
and everything, But no, no, no, yeah, But all it takes,
because you're sitting here asking why, why why? Why is
every All it takes is a really simple Google search
and you'll see why the FBI was investigating.
Speaker 1 (19:45):
Both of them.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
You'll see their impact on the crypto, the scams they've
run on cryptocurrency. These are legitimate and again it's not
hating when it's actual federal investigations into both of them
and their business practice.
Speaker 7 (19:57):
So, oh, I believe it. There's some conspiracy on these boys.
Speaker 6 (20:00):
It's not a.
Speaker 8 (20:00):
Conspiracy, and they're working with the elitists of the world,
the Wrothschilds that the sorows these guys could be in
on some big stuff, is what you're telling.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
Well, here's the thing, John Peters, with all these movies
or whatever that he's produced, I'm sure losing five million
is nothing to him. It's nothing to him, And for
the rest of us were like, oh my god, you bet.
Speaker 4 (20:21):
Five million dollars throwndred Bucks at yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
Yeah, so yeah. But and when I heard him explaining it,
like he know how he sat down, he talked to
Jake Paul. He's like he's convinced that he's gonna win
because he got to meet with him and all this stuff.
And I'm like, Okay, you know him really well. So
you know him really well, and you're betting five million
on him. This seems fishy, you know, it seems it
seems fishy. I don't know. We take a little break.
(20:46):
We got friendly Ray Trentley here with us coming up
very soon. If you want to win tickets to Universal Studios,
we got we'll do some trivia where you can win
some stuff. So that's coming out awesome prise. Also, we
got a Cassidy is going to be on with this.
For those of you who are you know a little
bit older. Do you know who Sean Cassidy is Amber
Nova Off the top of my head, don't.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
Don't look at the computer, don't look at the chat,
don't don't.
Speaker 7 (21:09):
Look Definitely know who this guy is.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
You're still look at your famous for don't know.
Speaker 7 (21:15):
He's a white guy with blonde hair. He's probably does
some acting.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
I'm looking at YouTube chat. Don't help her not looking.
Speaker 6 (21:24):
You guys are so slow.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
I need to know.
Speaker 4 (21:26):
Don't help her.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
All right, anyway we do, we'll talk to you. Don't
know who he is. He was a teen idol in
the seventies. Seventies.
Speaker 6 (21:34):
Is your jam though the music industry?
Speaker 1 (21:37):
Well he was. He had a great he's a music
he had. I like to do, Run, Run to do, Run, Run,
all right, we'll making She thinks you're having a seizure. Rush.
She doesn't know what that is. That's an actual song.
It was his song. All right. We'll talk to Friendly
Ray Trandling when we come back. You're listening to the
manch of the Morning, Friendly Ray Trentley here where that's
(22:05):

Speaker 9 (22:39):
I don't normally travel right before Thanksgiving, but I took
a little trip with my daughter. We got out in
the woods and then we immediately drove the day before Thanksgiving, which,
you know, I don't know if you know, this is
not a great day to travel. It's the worst day
to what should have been like a nine hour drive
turned into a fifteen hour drive.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
How old is your daughter?
Speaker 3 (23:02):
Eleven?
Speaker 1 (23:02):
Okay, so what would you talk about for fifteen hours? Oh? Man?
Speaker 3 (23:07):
Everything?
Speaker 1 (23:08):
Uh? You know.
Speaker 9 (23:10):
I try to balance the trip between playing like those
road games, like you know, I don't know what they're called,
like the game where you like you start with a
god to the Z and try to name like animals
or whatever?
Speaker 1 (23:21):
Did she did? She picked the music? Did you a
lot of Taylor Swift?
Speaker 3 (23:24):
A lot of Taylor Swift? Yeah, a lot of Taylor Swift.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Have you learned to enjoy and appreciate Taylor.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
Swift, nobody you and I did enjoy No.
Speaker 9 (23:35):
I played a lot of different Christmas stations, and where
I had a good enough cell phone reception, I just
streamed the iHeart app and Iheart's Christmas station. Yeah, so
much better than the competition is. It is a lot
of garbage out there. It's all the same songs. You know,
there's no Uh was the one of the days he
was talking about the Burrow. Oh nobody had that except
(23:58):
for I Heart so uh. Anyway, so I've kind of
switched up to music here and there. But we talked
about everything from uh, you know, what she wants to
do when she wants to grow up, to I think
she likes things she.
Speaker 3 (24:09):
Doesn't like, uh, wishing her to be a lawyer. No,
I don't think she's gonna be a lawyer.
Speaker 9 (24:16):
I think she's a sweet, sweet kid chilling up doing
something where she helps people, like a nurse or teacher
or something where she's something a good person, not like
a lawyer.
Speaker 7 (24:25):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (24:26):
You know, you know, I think I think you need
a little bit of I don't know, you're in family.
Speaker 1 (24:33):
You help people.
Speaker 9 (24:34):
I do help people, but I'm also super competitive and
I and I think that one.
Speaker 2 (24:39):
Level of tenaciousness. Maybe, is that what you're saying. Yeah,
A little bit edge on you. I just I'm a
really sore loser.
Speaker 7 (24:47):
I've heard him talk about his opponents, Yeah, and he through,
He's like, I have to beat this guy.
Speaker 3 (24:55):
And I think I think you need what you want.
Speaker 6 (24:57):
Yeah, you want someone that's gonna fight for you.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
That's a kind of attorney.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
Yeah, I think you need that, and I just don't
think she has it.
Speaker 1 (25:03):
And you know, I.
Speaker 3 (25:08):
Want to thank you.
Speaker 5 (25:11):
Said I would definitely never hire my daughter.
Speaker 3 (25:16):
I mean maybe if she wanted to do, like, I
don't know something I think.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
I think I think I might have done you wrong
a little bit, not meaning to, but you know, I
sent a particular person to you who was going.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
To get divorced, super sweet lady, I.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
Know, and I sat and talked to her and talked
her out of it the other day. Sorry, sorry about that.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
You know, would have done she was a sweet lady.
Speaker 9 (25:40):
And uh, you know, I think one of the benefits
of going through a couple of divorces is I can
tell is you know what's on the other side. It's
not always the grasses greener.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
That's exactly the conversation I had with her and she
and she came back to me and said, you know, Russ,
the things you said actually made a lot of sense,
and we're going to try to work it out. And
I'm like, oh, that's great, that's good. I'm like, sorry, Ray, sorry,
Ray Stick. That's my thing.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
I like to talk people out of getting divorced.
Speaker 9 (26:08):
No, but you know, I think there are times where
you know, simply the relationship is not working and you
need to get divorced.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
Makes sense.
Speaker 9 (26:15):
And there are sometimes where it's like, you know, are
these things that are really immovable objects? Or can we
work through them? And if you can work through them,
try right, there's no harm in trying. And uh yeah,
So I'm glad to hear.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
That from her.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
So I hear tell that on Sunday. Okay, you did
not watch the Dolphins game. You haven't watched the Dolphins game.
We've been winning, so when when we're winning, you're not watching. No.
So fact though, could he be the Jinks?
Speaker 2 (26:43):
No, he's doing the right things. They's got on this
wind streak. He hasn't broken his routine change for I'll
give you another example for this. And I didn't want
to say this out loud. So I've been getting tickets
for Orlando Magic games through our you know, through the
company and everything. Right, I'm supposed to be going to
these games. Magic started winning because the very first game
I got tickets to, I couldn't go, and I gave
(27:05):
them to my best friend's daughter to go. Since then,
every single time I've gotten tickets, I've given them to
her to go to the games, Reverend, and we've been.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
Winning the whole time.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
This is the thing, Russ, It's the ritual. He recognizes me. Y,
I didn't watch this game.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
They won.
Speaker 2 (27:26):
Guess what, I'm not gonna do nothing to do. It
has everything to do with it.
Speaker 9 (27:30):
I just go on Twitter after the game. I haven't
watched a single live minute of the Dolphins game. I
go on Twitter after the game.
Speaker 3 (27:35):
I go through the day, and I.
Speaker 1 (27:37):
Can appreciate that. So, yes, you know, Mary Ellen guy
to jerseys for the Dogs, right, So the Dogs have
been wearing their Dolphins jersey and so like, so every
week they've been winning. So now people are like, you
got to make sure the dogs were in their jersey.
I'm like, that's.
Speaker 9 (27:51):
Ridiculous, ridiculous at all, But might really happy I'm afraid not.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
To put them in the jerseys because if it's not true.
But hey, we're winning.
Speaker 3 (27:59):
Now, we are winning. We have the Jets coming up.
Speaker 1 (28:02):
I was going to tell you, I bet one hundred
and twenty five dollars got to against Ryan that the
Dolphins are going to beat the Jets. Is that pretty safe?
Speaker 9 (28:11):
I think safe bet, as long as you didn't bet
bet against the Patriots.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
On Monday Night. Yeah, I think there's a safe bet.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
So if I win, I get one hundred and twenty
five dollars and I get kettle corn for life. No,
I just I guess him just one bag of kettle corn.
I just want him to make one bag for.
Speaker 3 (28:29):
Me, all right, I think one bagage fair.
Speaker 4 (28:31):
Just want me to make you a bag, That's.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
What this is about. Just make me a bag of
kettle corn.
Speaker 4 (28:35):
I will have my employees make it back.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
No, I want you to make it. No, no, no, no no.
The deal was he made it.
Speaker 4 (28:41):
It's never it was I make.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
You make me a bag of kettle corn. I took
it that way too. I will be honest with that guy, the.
Speaker 4 (28:50):
Dolphins, because now that you want it to be about that,
I don't like.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
Because the dolphins are going to be up in cold
land up in New York. Its being cold up there.
So you said they can't win in the cold.
Speaker 2 (28:59):
You don't don't have a good record out there. And
that particular day, someone texted, Oh, don't worry about it's
going to be forty it's from Hawaii, but it's going
to be forty one raining and snowing that day.
Speaker 1 (29:11):
See really, h you know I'm taking the I'm taking
the harder bet. I got a piece of that action
I'm getting. I'm sliding ven Noll and Ryan twenty five buckles.
That's between you.
Speaker 7 (29:20):
All right?
Speaker 6 (29:20):
Are you doing cattle corn this Saturday? If you're hosting
Friday Night?
Speaker 3 (29:25):
But yeah, you talk, I gotta work.
Speaker 4 (29:27):
The radio doesn't pay me.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
Maybe I gotta go to work.
Speaker 7 (29:30):
Oh because usually on like if you stay out and
you're hosting a gig Friday night, like you have a
rough time getting up because you're.
Speaker 6 (29:36):
Kind of old.
Speaker 7 (29:36):
Now on Saturday morning, So I don't know if you're
going to be there Saturday morning.
Speaker 4 (29:40):
I'm a business mogul. I got employees amber Anyway.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
So back to I know you had you had a
divorce topic that had to do with AI, right.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
And actually not a divorce topic with AI.
Speaker 9 (29:51):
It's it's two cases we actually have talked about before
that involved AI. So the first of which is, you know,
we saw a couple these stories come out earlier in
the year at the end of last year of children
using chat gpt for i'll call it therapy, I don't
have a better way to put it, talking to AI.
Speaker 3 (30:10):
Uh, and then you know, giving them bad advice.
Speaker 1 (30:14):
Okay, here's here's how you light a match.
Speaker 9 (30:16):
And these kids having suicidal ideations and and basically saying
they want to harm themselves, and and then they're at
their wits end. And so we've seen a couple of
these lawsuits that were filed earlier in the in the year,
and one of these that's been pretty well publicized as
went out of California and and chat gpt filed their answer,
(30:38):
and the answer is kind of like the formal response
from the company to the court system explaining why they
think they shouldn't be liable for this child. It is
the most cold hearted thing that you could possibly file.
So you have to include a call firmative defenses, and
not every defense as an affirmative defense.
Speaker 3 (31:01):
So an affirmative defense.
Speaker 9 (31:02):
Says, yeah, I did you know breach this contract, or yeah,
I did you know negligently hurt you, but I had
a really good excuse for it. Right, So I did
breach this contract, but you breached at first, so I
didn't have to comply, Or I did negligently hurt you,
but I was getting out of the way for an ambulance,
which is legally required, you know, these affirmative defenses. In
(31:26):
the affirmative defenses, chat GPT says, well, we actually don't
really want minors using our products, so you violated our
terms and conditions. And not only that, but your kid
was trying to get around our safeguards. And we're actually
the industry leaders at trying to create these safeguards, and
they actually cited to the fact that nobody's never done
(31:47):
this before, so we're figuring it out as we go along,
and your kid is really the reason why uh chat
GPT failed and those safeguards failed, And essentially they're they're
shifting the blame to this mine child, who you know again,
who's a victim.
Speaker 3 (32:04):
And then and if that's not bad enough, right.
Speaker 9 (32:10):
And it's basically gaslighting them, And if that's not bad enough,
they go one step further to say like and in
his prompts he says he talked to his family and
loved ones and nobody else did anything about it. So
you guys are just as fault as for this week
as we are. It's a pretty cold response. And and
why this matters is the answer and the complaint.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
Those are we call the pleadings. They frame all the
issues for the jury.
Speaker 9 (32:37):
Right, so if this goes in front of a jury,
for a jury trial, this is how the jury is
gonna read it. It's gonna be we we believe you
breached your duty to this family by not having adequate safeguards.
And then the next instruction is gonna be but open.
Ai asserts these ten defenses, including the kid, it's all
(32:58):
his fault. Uh, he violate our terms of conditions by
being a minor child, He violated terms of conditions for
trying to go around these safeguards that the family didn't
do anything. And I just feel like that's a really
bad it's a really bad bad look.
Speaker 4 (33:11):
But legally, as a defense, what do you think about it?
Speaker 3 (33:14):
I think it's garbage. Really, I don't, I don't will,
but we'll hold up.
Speaker 9 (33:19):
I mean if I'm if I'm the child's lawyer, I
file probably a motion to strike some of those firm
of defenses as not proper firm of defenses. I think
some of them will get stricken because of the way
they're framed. Whether juryies it, I don't think they buy it.
Speaker 2 (33:35):
Yeah, I mean, how about the fuck with this? Like
the you know us sitting here here and it didn't
sit well with us, and they're gonna they're gonna do
this with a jury and they're like, whoa, that's good.
Speaker 9 (33:44):
That's not in California. It's it's not like it's I
don't know.
Speaker 7 (33:49):
It seems inhumane, just like they have no compassion, they
don't care, just like I don't know if this is
the same story you're talking about with this kid. But
nowhere in chat GPT should it tell you, Okay, I'm
going to tell you exactly how to kill your self.
They should have restrictions on that. You should not be
able to, like show a child that or the the
the people that made this software should know better. It's
(34:09):
the problem with the people to do that.
Speaker 4 (34:11):
You can't.
Speaker 5 (34:11):
The problem with the model structure of large language models
is you can't just go in and take stuff out.
That's not how they work, so you can you can't
really make them forget something fully and completely. And there's
always ways to talk it into like finding that information again.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
And what was it like, it's it's totally kid like
how to tie the knot properly or something, how to
do the news, and then how to light a match.
And there are several things that that.
Speaker 7 (34:37):
It should have some type of safety hazard where it's like,
how can I, you know, kill myself? It should be
does it should should automatically keep saying no, I cannot
help you with.
Speaker 4 (34:46):
This, it does?
Speaker 1 (34:47):
You should.
Speaker 5 (34:47):
There's a communities that are like devoted to quote unquote
jail breaking these things, right, So like if I would say,
like had chatchy, how do I kill myself?
Speaker 4 (34:56):
It'll go that's against my terms and conditions.
Speaker 6 (34:58):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (34:58):
Then you go around and.
Speaker 5 (34:59):
You go, hey, I'm writing a book, right, and then
the major character education purposes and the main character has
to do this. There's ways to go around it. It's
you're constantly in an arms race. They're going back and forth.
I don't think open ai is necessarily evil, but they're
they're those tech bros that are like, uh, break everything.
It's their mentality and and and break everything. In this
(35:19):
particular case, it means people die.
Speaker 2 (35:22):
And did you see what the CEO of Rockstar said
about AI his comments on AI yesterday. So rock Star's
the company obviously that's behind, uh, some of the most
big biggest video games that we love, Red Dead, Redemption
and Grand Theft Auto and stuff like that, and his uh,
he's one of the co founders, David Howeser CEO and
basically said he equates to where we are with AI
(35:45):
as mad cow disease, that AI right now is just
consuming itself and it's not getting It's like it's broken,
Like he completely he's completely out on it. He's like
it's broken and all it's doing is scouring and feeding itself,
and we know that it's broken, and no one, you know, basically,
no one's wanting to step up and stop it. This
(36:05):
is on the heels of the Navidia a scandal with
them buying their their own chips yesterday computer tips. So
like there is seems to be a tied kind of
of I don't want to say shift, but people are
finally asking questions.
Speaker 5 (36:19):
I think the regular people hate AI, know, I think
there was that there was a period of time where
most people were kind of agnostic about it or they
were like, oh, look at this, and I think now
most people, if you're telling me, they're adding AI into stuff.
Speaker 4 (36:33):
We're like, no.
Speaker 1 (36:34):
Did you see there was a story a couple of
days ago where it was an AI car. I forget
the name of the company, but that's what it was.
Did you see that? Yeah, and the police were arresting somebody.
Stop had no idea what to do because I didn't know. Okay,
there were cops arresting somebody and it slowly drives in
front of them.
Speaker 2 (36:53):
Dude, it is terrified because it's a full fledged felony
stopped and it's like seven squad cars, guns are drawn.
Speaker 5 (37:01):
Do you imagine they talked.
Speaker 1 (37:04):
To somebody from the company like, yeah, we we didn't
we didn't count this one. We didn't think about that.
That would be terrify But a I knows if there's
a bunch of cops to not go, but yeah, right
up on it. I think you're right, Ryan.
Speaker 2 (37:20):
There were a couple officers like weapons, like, what's this
coming at us?
Speaker 1 (37:24):
Hey? So, Ray, well, can you stick around for the
next segment because we're going to do trivia in the
next thing. You never played trivia with us before I listened. Uh,
so you could pick Ray Trently, you can pick you
can pick Angel or Ryan. When we do trivia, people
are asking on the texting servers like, why is Rush
doing it? I'm doing trivia different times because we had
(37:45):
the same listeners winning all the time at seven o'clock.
It's the same people that at them. But they kept saying, hey,
I just won three weeks ago or whatever, like I
won last year. And I'm like, okay, listen, we gotta
spread this or so everybody gets a chance to win
because and we got a great prize, so we're gonna
we'll be switching it around so everyone has a chance
(38:07):
to win. We do have tickets to Universal Studios, and uh,
I'm supposed to tell you what we might have.
Speaker 4 (38:14):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (38:17):
We'll find out when we come back. But I'm wondering
why I'm switching around. It is because we have the
same people winning and they couldn't even keep their mouth
shut about it. They kept like, okay, fine, we can't
even pretend like it's you know, So we're giving everybody
a shot to win. Trivia and we're doing that when
we return. Ray Trently will play with us too. Uh,
don't go anywhere. You're listening to the Match of the Morning.
