Speaker 1 (00:00):
How is everybody doing on a Thursday?
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Daddy apart ceiling.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
I don't know what his appointment is, but I think
he's I think it's soon, if not now, so he's
it's under the knife before too long. You know, I'm
sure everything's fine. It's it's gonna be just fine. Sure, yeah,
question mark, I know.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
It will be.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
They do this all the time. It's a very very
common thing. Uh, we do have a lot to talk
about today. Big thanks to everybody helping out yesterday for
the bike drive. What a great event, what a successful event.
It was beautiful And it's the staff at Real Radio
that in iHeartRadio in general, that is able to pull
this off. So congratulations to everybody. Hundreds of bikes pulled
(00:48):
together for these kids. And then we'll give you more
information when it comes around about where your bike is
going and and all of that stuff. So it's really
really fantastic to see.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Good good time.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
For sure.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
I stayed around for a bit to build some bikes.
Turns out the smaller the bike, the more of a
bitch it is to build.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
Hey, I was wondering this after I left. Did they
ever finish all of those the boxes that were behind
them that they were building.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
They did eventually, but I had at one point I
text Jack and I said, hey, let'll call out for
someone to come help because we need There was just
tools everywhere. There's a couple of bikes that don't have
the mud guards.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
So yeah, well, god, I know, unbelievable.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
We can't have that with mud season coming up, it's
going to be tough. But and it was beautiful to
see you had again another year, a sea of bikes
that are going to be under Christmas trees this holiday season.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Yeah. I think that's just absolutely fantastic and a great
job to all involved. All right, let's get started, as
we always do. Our ears the ground, our fingers on
the pulse. Listy, what was happening to this great, big,
wide world of ours? And we go to Ohio where
a very checking nine one one call comes in. This
(02:04):
is a really wild one two here. The one beat
is the nine one one call laid over this police
officer who's responding to it, and the nine one one
call is from some mother.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
Who's freaking out.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Mom goes, there's a three hundred pound man who's trying
to break into my house right now, and he's destroying
everything outside and if you don't get here soon, I'm.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Gonna kill him.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
And the lady on the nine one one line is like,
don't threaten people on nine one one, ma'am, and she's like,
I'm gonna kill him. He might be my son, but
if he comes in this house, I'm whoa.
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Okay, all right? Fail to mention the sun part.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
Yeah, yeah, So that's the nine one one call that's overlaid,
with this police officer responding, let's jump in and get started.
Nine one looks at location of your emergency.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Address lid.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
If y'all, I need someone to come girl with this drunk,
my whole house, my whole yard up. I'm not letting,
So she said, I need somebody to deal with this drunk.
I think he's tearing up my whole house, my my yard,
my house, all that stuff.
Speaker 4 (03:14):
And she says it's.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
My son, my son, y'nald.
Speaker 5 (03:17):
Come take this shirt.
Speaker 6 (03:18):
I'm gonna put a bullet.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
He's a round bully. Pisa s she said, so yeah,
and very.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Cantoly, mentioning that that is the fruit of her.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Yes, yeah, I mean, like crazy guy, I'm gonna kill him,
but by the way, he's my son.
Speaker 4 (03:36):
And the nine one one collaborators.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Like, do not threaten people, ma'am, all right, back out
of me.
Speaker 7 (03:44):
He's writing everything off the.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
House, wait for it going on. I'm getting to.
Speaker 8 (03:50):
Talk my whole house and off my windows out y'all.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
It's my way for it.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
I'm putting a bullet any So y'all.
Speaker 9 (03:59):
Come to all right, the police officers responding, oh.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Oh god, yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Yeah. The officer in the middle of this call, this
dramatic response, tries to blaze through a stoplight, but the
vehicles were not stopped going the other way, and she
runs full on into this truck.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
Oh that person was not okay.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
Right, yeah, I know that the driver, the truck driver
didn't survive.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
She did. Whoa?
Speaker 1 (04:41):
I mean, of course she was cruising at this incredibly
high rate of speed. And this woman just days ago
survived this whole interaction. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was
leading the investigation.
Speaker 3 (04:55):
Right now, I thought the whole thing when emergency vehicles
were in pursuit or headed to an emergency, that the
lights change like way ahead of time.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
I've heard this before, and that's why, Like, of course
I'm hanging out with people when I'm young, Hugo. You know,
the lights change when the emergency vehicles go by, so
if you flash your brights a whole bunch of times,
it'll fool them and you can make the red light
turn green.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
Okay, But then more of a modern take was like
you can buy the box that changes those lights.
Speaker 4 (05:28):
On day and probably didn't work.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
Maybe it did, I don't know, but but these people
were supposed to stop. But you know how people are
about this man.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
I mean, there was no break on her part.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
I guess like she just went into the intersection and
you probably should have have hit the brakes.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
I'll do one more time.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
The officer is Caitlin Robinson. Let's go on that ride
one last time. We should, I think for those of
you watching, take a look. For those of you not,
I'll put it up on seeing now. I mean, the
crash is so unbelievably hard, it's pretty wild to consider
(06:12):
that anybody made it through that.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
But we'll put this up on see it now.
Speaker 1 (06:16):
Take a look in just a moment on the website
and you'll see exactly what we're talking about. Let me
get the screen shot that I'm looking for. Boom, beautiful,
looks amazing, Ready to go God, have you guys ever
been in a high speed car crash like that? Have
you been in a crashing one?
Speaker 3 (06:33):
Not at a cross but it was on the turnpike
and not fun, that scary and thank god no other
cars were involved because we did a pinball through all
the meeting or like you know, the the concrete tiny.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Walls on the turnpike. Yeah, I mean story, I'm okay, Well, no,
I'm glad.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
It's frightening at that, at that speed, no matter what
you're driving or what's going on. I mean, it's so
much moment mentum and weight and mass and all this,
and then it just comes to a halt like that.
Speaker 3 (07:05):
Thank god I have my seatbelt on, because if not,
I would not be here to tell the tale.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Tell you that it's more obvious every day that we
should all be wearing our seatbelts whenever we possibly can.
But the other thing is, I have no idea what
happened with that woman and her son. I don't have
any clue she.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Killed him, yeah, she said, taking too long. His mom goes,
all right, well we got orange.
Speaker 10 (07:30):
Justice is in my hands.
Speaker 11 (07:33):
Now.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
He looks and looking for a new landscaper and window
installing right, just.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Destroying the outside of the house. Could God join us
on the show with your thoughts on anything we talk
about today? As per usual, all you have to do
is go over to the news junkie dot com. You'll
see the links to send a dispatch, or you can
send an email tips t ips at the newsjunkie dot com.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
Nothing to worry about.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
Not like we got war brewing or anything, but the
US has seized an oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
Had a fun convo with my neighbor about that this morning.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Really that came up in a conversation with your neighbor.
Speaker 2 (08:07):
Which neighbor do you think, Uh.
Speaker 4 (08:09):
Guessing the one that's that's been.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
We've been getting along, so I'll give us that, okay.
And they were very nice to give me an early
Christmas gift or what they give you late Halloween. She
brought some pecan butter from not Florida.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
Yeah, okay, was in my arm and I was like,
get that damn dog out of my art.
Speaker 12 (08:32):
And then she's like, oh, guess is getting cheaper. I
want to know why did they just did randomly.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Know they had asked?
Speaker 3 (08:40):
And you know, if this I feel like it's not
going to come back to them because I've said too
many details.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
But where are you going to go for the holidays?
Speaker 3 (08:49):
I'm going down to Miami because that's where my family's from.
I didn't know that. Then they asked something that has
to do with Cuba. I said, that's where my family
was from until they moved to Venezuela.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
And that was the keyword.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
That was like, we're doing something about all those drug.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
Dealers, neighbors a narco terrorists.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
I feel like you can wander out in your backyard
and just drop the little tiny bombs like he'd be like,
what about China, and the neighbor just pop out of
the bushes like, oh China, Okay.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
I didn't realize that Venezuela was the keyword.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
But then I have to go back to what I
U we do every day for Venezuela is the trigger.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
Well, we got one.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
We got a Venezuelan ship that was supposedly illegally bringing
around some oil.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
And they didn't blow it up.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
They didn't blow it up. I'm watching right now. They
released some of the footage of this and it shows
are like Apache helicopters landing on top of this oil
tanker and taking over.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
They just repelled down.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
We are in this case, we're the contain.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
Now we took over for the Somalians take that and
dropped onto this ship and took the ship over. And
now we've got the ship. What we're going to do
with it? That's kind of a big question, and in fact,
I think we've got audio of the President talking about
that in the moment. But they were able to successfully
take this ship that they say had like sanctions against
(10:16):
it for illegally selling oil to Iran and some other countries.
I believe that was the claim from the US military
as they did this.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
So well, that's a great question. That's what they asked
at the White House.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Let's listeners keepers on this ship.
Speaker 6 (10:36):
I guess when you have to follow the tanker.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
You know here a good jugement just followed the tanker.
Speaker 13 (10:44):
Follow follow a helicopter followed the tanker.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
We're going to I assume we're going to keep the
all right, they assume we're going to keep the oil.
I haven't thought of that far out yet.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
But he's like, you're a you're a newsman, get your
crew a helicopter and follow the tanker.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Or the president. How do you not have that information?
Speaker 1 (11:05):
They didn't think that far down the road. They were
just like, take the tanker, figure it out afterwards, and
two more clips to fully explain this situation with the
Venezuelan oil tanker. This was a former leader in Venezuela
who is now in hiding. Basically, Maria Karina Machado is
(11:26):
her name under and she was at some peace event
getting an award, and she's hoping for democracy to make
a return in Venezuela and stuff. So they asked her
about what happens if the US comes in and invades Venezuela.
Speaker 2 (11:41):
Here she is.
Speaker 14 (11:43):
Yesterday the US seized a ship outside the coast of Venezuela.
Would you welcome a US military intervention in Venezuela.
Speaker 15 (11:54):
Oh look, some people talk about invasion in Venezuela and
the threat of an invasion in Venezuela, and I answered,
Venezuela has been already invaded. We have the Russian agents,
we have the Uranian agents. We have terrorist groups such
as Hezbola Ha mass operating freely in accords with the regime.
(12:16):
We have the Colombia and.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
Gorilla, the Gorilla cartels that have.
Speaker 15 (12:20):
Taken over sixty percent of our populations and not only
involved in drug trafficking, but in human trafficking, in networks
of prostitution.
Speaker 10 (12:29):
So this has turned.
Speaker 15 (12:31):
Venezuelan into the criminal hub of the Americas.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
So she says we've already been invaded, not saying she
doesn't want the US.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
To invade so much of that.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Like the very first part, all of the listing, I
feel like the prostitutes were like, come on, why why
do we get the drugs and the bombs and the
stealing of oil and the you know amas.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
But okay, lampas on there.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
What I'm about to show you though, Sabrina is I
want to assure you real because the current president and
air Quotes of Venezuela, Nicholas Madureau, after the ship was seized,
held an event and this is for real what happened
at the event. Now he's got like the farm workers
hat on. You know, he's out there in front of
(13:18):
the peasants. He's the man of the peasants and stuff.
This is the current leader of Venezuela. After all this happened.
I kid, you know, don't worry.
Speaker 16 (13:31):
Singing again, be happy. That's how that goes speaks.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Speak ye sassy, Okay, right, so we'll see how that works.
Speaker 10 (13:54):
That was better than his cover of Imagine. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
I mean, I've got to tell you that's not how
the song goes. Josh is right about.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
Did remix three songs.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
I believe, Like what was he doing in the first
little part there?
Speaker 2 (14:08):
Don't worry? Yeah, be happy worry? Yeah, that's what it
sounds like.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
It's a soccer song more than anything. I don't think
it's the old is it Billy McFadden, somebody mcfa he
just died.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
No, Billy McFarlane's the.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
Guys who I was gonna say, Yeah, don't worry.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Don't worry. I just died.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
I thought, did he?
Speaker 2 (14:39):
McFerrin got it. That's right.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
Bobby McFerrin is the guys, as he did. He is
seventy five years old, not dead.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
We're going to kill him again, worry. He's alive now.
Speaker 4 (14:56):
He's a lot of peace.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
No war.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Such a bizarre way to respond, so, folks, I don't
know war. Maybe I have no idea. We're here to
watch all the things happening on planet Earth, and today's
one where we got a lot to get into.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
So we'll do that.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
A stay put will talk about what you have to say.
We have big responses to these teenage social media bands.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
You're gonna love some of the clips from this.
Speaker 1 (15:21):
The kids are telling the adults what's up? All right,
wait till you hear what one of these teenagers has
to say.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
Six seven.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
Unfortunately, we'll be making an appearance during the show today
as well.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
I hate to say it, and a whole lot more.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
It's all coming up next in the news, Chunky. We've
been talking about the social media bands and you're kidding
(15:56):
yourself if you don't think this is going to be
widespread across most of the world in the next handful
of years. I mean, it's happening, like Australia pushed it
through this week. It's very popular in Australia. I think
we said yesterday seventy five percent of adults approved of
this ban on teenagers on these social media websites. The
teenagers are responding and I love what they're doing. I
(16:18):
think it's kind of funny. I'll play that for you
in a second. But following Australia's lead lead rather Denmark
has said we are banning social media for kids fifteen
and under and also, what was the other country? There
was one more Malaysia. I think Malaysia has come forward
and say we too were taking the teens off of
(16:38):
the social medias. The Internet is changing in a major
way in terms of access for younger people, and this
will undoubtedly be happening in the United States. We've already
seen this in certain states where they've tried to ban
kids from being on these platforms. There's a lot of
weird stuff about this. I mean one thing that I say, you're.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
Acting like the kids can't get around it.
Speaker 1 (17:02):
Well, that's one of my favorite parts, and we'll get
to that just a moment. But what are the graphics
I saw about what's banned and what's not banned for
some of these teenagers shows how it's kind of dumb, right,
Like it's like, okay, Facebook, on this graphic, I'm looking
at says band, Instagram, band Kick, the streaming service band, Reddit, Snapchat, YouTube,
(17:23):
x slash, Twitter, Twitch, TikTok, and threads all banned, right,
all those social media platforms ban, But you're not banned
from Discord, which is where a lot of bad stuff
does happen. Honestly on the discord chat service, a lot
of that stuff goes down.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
In some stories.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Tell me how you're banned from Facebook but not Facebook Messenger.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
How does that? Stavin?
Speaker 1 (17:47):
What? You can't be on Facebook, but you can be
on Facebook Messenger and you could be on WhatsApp. So
like all the kids are just gonna flood over to
WhatsApp or alternatively, as the reader was suggesting, they're just
gonna keep doing what they're doing. And I loved how
in Australia this teenager was talking about the Prime Minister
(18:09):
and talking to literally talking to the Prime Minister, sitting
down at the table with him, Anthony Albanese, the Prime
Minister of Australia, and she's like, uh, just you know,
kids are just gonna find a way around all this.
Speaker 17 (18:22):
Uh it's a bad idea because we're going to find
ultimate anyways.
Speaker 13 (18:28):
Yeah, well that'll get fanned.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
Out too, he said, that'll get found out too.
Speaker 2 (18:34):
Hey, yeah they are.
Speaker 12 (18:36):
The way they zoomed in on him felt like a
scene from the Officer Parks and.
Speaker 2 (18:40):
Rec it did.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
Actually, Yeah, my favorite part about this.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
Is imagine the hubris.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Okay that it takes to be this old ass dude
and think for even a flash of a second that
you know more about the Internet than this young girl
who's talking to you, because I guarantee you this man
has no clue when you compare the two. The younger
people grow up from cradle to grave, they're on this
(19:10):
stuff and they.
Speaker 4 (19:12):
Know so much more.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
And these guys that we're gonna find that out too.
Speaker 17 (19:16):
It's a bad idea because we're going to find ultimate anyways.
Speaker 10 (19:21):
Yeah, well that'll get fannat.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
To Yeah, we'll find that at.
Speaker 4 (19:27):
We'll get it out them.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
Good luck playing whackable for this, because what are the
stories I said?
Speaker 4 (19:33):
Saw today said?
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Australian teenagers have found various ways to skirt the world's
first social media ban. One of the ways to do
this is with the photos or videos that they have
to post to verify their age. They've found if you
just frown in the videos that it will approve them
and think that you're older with your serious, sad face.
(19:55):
And so they're all like, all right, eighteen year old
showing up here for my social media interactions and they
just do a frowny face verifies it.
Speaker 4 (20:05):
They're online.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
It just this is like a pie in this guy idea. Now,
stuff like this does need to happen. I think, but
I think it's so hilarious that a lot of these
adults are like, we're gonna find the way when you
get the worker aut No you're not. You won one
hundred thousand percent or not. All these kids, well, a
lot of these kids are still going to get online.
(20:26):
And that's why you have to get to the source
of this. Until you get the parents to take a
vested interest in their children's online lives, mister, you're not
going to make a debt here. The problem is parenting
has used these digital nannies, these digital childcare providers in
(20:48):
all of these different apps and stuff, and they've outsourced
a lot of these moments where you're supposed to keep
your kid entertained by just giving them technology, and then
all the other kids have technology, and then you go
to school and if you're not connecting with all the
other kids, you're being left out socially like sort of
digitally ostracized. And so all the kids find ways around this.
(21:09):
I did it, everybody else is going to do it
moving forward. It's crazy to think otherwise. So there's more
on the way. Australia, Denmark and Malaysia all saying kids online,
see you later, sucker. If you want to be on
social media, it ain't happening around here. Let us know
what you think. Send us a dispatch over at thenewsjunkie
dot com. A ton of people chiming in today. As
(21:31):
somebody says about yesterday's discussion of not only the end
of the penny, but paper checks. They said they're going
to get rid of paper checks in the United States
of America.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
Perhaps this person a lot.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
Of people gonna get screwed over with that.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
Old people. Old people are definitely hard to hit by
this one. The old o's. This person says, if you
asked me two years ago, if I cared about being
able to write checks, I would have said I had
written one check in the past eight years. However, today
I'm at eight checks in the past two years. Save
on service fees or get the company discount for paying
by check. This Greenden patio that I had put on
my home last year was five percent less because I
(22:08):
paid by check. My service station charges between one to
three percent extra, depending on payment method. You can skip
the sponsor name if you want. But I got a
three percent discount on my new HVAC from Mill's Air
because I paid with a check.
Speaker 4 (22:20):
None of these gave.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
Or give me an option for zell or Venmo or
any of the apps. So a lot of the places
out there will we'll give you a discount if you
pay by check, which is about to be eliminated because
if you don't pay by check, you pay by something
that has a fee, usually exactly.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
And we saw the restaurants earlier this year or late
last year that was a huge news story that restaurants
that had to use debit or credit card. They're like, hey,
we're going to include now as a line in your
receipt the service charge. Unless you pay in cash, that's
your price.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
Yeah, and you can't get around it, like you just
you have to pay it if you want to use money.
So hearing today that they're going after checks is to
stressing because I'm sure the option for no fee will
silently go away and then I'm paying three percent more
for everything.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
She's right, I love the show.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
I hope you have a great holiday, breaks says Christine.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
She's absolutely right about that.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
One of the problems is people, and you got to
get in touch with like folks who are struggling out
there to really understand things. People think that stuff is
too expensive. It's been expensive for you know, ten years now,
stuff is still too expensive. And all these kind of
moves can make things even more expensive because it cut
away little deals that you might get for paying with
these methods, i e. Paper checks. Tell us what you think?
(23:35):
Should they just get rid of them? Is it time
to move on? What should we do? Say to dispatch it?
Thenewsjunkie dot com Right now, All right, let's see what
we have here. Here is the brown pony talking about
the Internet ban. I think let's see.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
Do they have a description of what exactly a social
media page or entity is?
Speaker 13 (23:59):
Because I feel like the next billion dollar.
Speaker 7 (24:01):
Idea would be to come up with something that just
stays right outside the guidelines of being considered.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
Well, that's the social media platform and boom, billions of
dollars are made just an idea.
Speaker 18 (24:15):
I'm too dumb to come up with it, so I'm
sure someone someone else out there will.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
I like knowing your limitations, Hi, I am too dumb
to come up with the rest, But here you go.
Well you could see what by what's banned and what's
not banned already you could be like, all right, well,
we can't do what these platforms are doing. But we
could do what discord is doing. We could do what
messages is doing. We can allow teams to message each
other like what's happened stuff.
Speaker 4 (24:37):
We allow them to.
Speaker 1 (24:38):
Do all those things except for like publicly post things,
which how long until they go? Well, the messaging thing
is a problem too, I would say probably.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
I mean, not that longing what snapchat was it?
Speaker 16 (24:51):
Not?
Speaker 3 (24:51):
Every time we bring up a teacher has been a
ho cat having a relationship or a sexual affair with
a student. It all started, for the most part, exchanging
nudes on snapjat doesn't seem to be on anyone's radar.
Speaker 1 (25:06):
Some sort of public like anything where you could send
people messages is going to lead to some sort of
behavior like that. For sure, it's going to be a problem.
But let's see what everybody thinks. One more for right now,
here's a little irish.
Speaker 4 (25:18):
With a dispatch.
Speaker 19 (25:21):
So I've discovered that my toxic trait is that in
my head, I think I can do the old person
voice that Sabrina does at the same level that Sabrina
does it. I've never done a voice in my life,
and I have tried that old person voice multiple times,
and I sound like a crazy person.
Speaker 1 (25:37):
I want to hear it.
Speaker 19 (25:38):
So, yeah, it's a problem. I don't even realize i'm
doing it. Sometimes I'm just in my car.
Speaker 3 (25:43):
Like, hey, i'm grabbing that.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
Let me go back just a little bit of there.
Speaker 19 (25:52):
Oh, yeah, it's a problem. I don't even realize i'm
doing it. Sometimes I'm just in my car, like, hey,
it's awful. It's awful, and I really feel like I'm
gonna get it one day and I don't.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
Really I'm not.
Speaker 19 (26:05):
I accidentally did it in front of my teenage daughter
and she didn't talk to me for the rest.
Speaker 3 (26:09):
Of the day. All right, Wow, if it makes you
feel any better, I it's like an automatic thing, almost,
like when you say bless you after someone sneezes, even
if they're forty feet away from it.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
Like if I said, there's a ninety two year old woman. Yeah, yeah, see,
it's just like years.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
Of ver Yeah, I just still do that.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
Imagine all the stuff I don't say on the radio,
but that just repeats in my head all the time.
Speaker 1 (26:36):
I like that she can't do that, though, and she's
really dedicated some amount of effort in time.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
I know it's not Monday. But if we can have
your rate my.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
Old people noise, that's put that on the Put that
on a list for a potential.
Speaker 2 (26:53):
Don't I don't know how to make a list.
Speaker 4 (26:55):
Actually I never learned, Josh.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
Remember this for when we forget and then we text
you randomly during the show, like what was the thing
that we were gonna do, which will probably be on Monday?
Speaker 4 (27:06):
That's right, Okay, quick break.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
When we come back, we'll maybe here's some more old
people voices. I got a way for you to make
a whole bunch of extra money. And here's what it requires,
doing something that we all went absolutely crazy for years ago.
It's coming back and it could bring some money into
(27:28):
your bank account. What do I mean by all this?
That is coming up next on the news Junkie. Let's
(27:50):
walk down if we can memory lane for just a second. Okay,
let's walk down memory lane. Let's think about something. Let's
go into the time machine. Okay, let's take it back.
Speaker 2 (28:02):
I don't know where we're going trying to put the time.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
Twenty eighteen, twenty.
Speaker 4 (28:08):
Eighteen, All right, we're in twenty eighteen?
Speaker 2 (28:13):
Was going year? Was that the year?
Speaker 1 (28:16):
I got to figure this out first? Sabrina was twenty
eighteen when everybody in the world was playing the trivia
HQ and what was the other one?
Speaker 2 (28:28):
What was that game that didn't last very long?
Speaker 1 (28:31):
Remember the competitor though there was because trivia HQ was
this big one and everybody started downloading this app. And
we will literally be there sometimes, Sabrina Celane and I
would be sitting at the bar because it.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
Would be right after we ended the show and then
people were.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
It was various times per day, right, it was a
couple of times.
Speaker 3 (28:50):
So HQ's trivia. It was a couple of times per day,
You're right, and it was so the Q Cash Show
is the one that I'm leaning towards.
Speaker 4 (29:00):
Cash Show, yeah it or.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
Or fleet Wit no I wrote.
Speaker 4 (29:05):
The Cash Show.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
I think might have been the competitor possibly, And for
a while at these particular times, everybody would be pulling
their cell phone out. All of these younger people would
be playing along to these trivia games together.
Speaker 4 (29:19):
Due it was.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
It was the one host, like the trivia Daddy or
whatever the hell his name was, Scott something or.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
The father Scott Gergowski.
Speaker 4 (29:28):
Got it, there we go, Josh gets it?
Speaker 1 (29:29):
Okay, the Trivia Father everybody would be playing these games live,
and it was a phenomenon so much so that people
are breaking things because they're upset that it doesn't exist anymore.
But are you Milton, You're throwing the stabler.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Around there, throwing malbows. You know, did not agree.
Speaker 1 (29:48):
Well, what's crazy is we all know that was such
a big thing. It got so big. The rock was
coming by and making appearances, or were celebrities that were
dying to be a part of it?
Speaker 3 (30:00):
Was? Was it not in the millions or hundred things?
Speaker 1 (30:03):
So yeah, they had some big ones that they would do,
and everybody would try to win money each night and
allegedly had a shot at it. But then it disappeared.
It all disappeared. They stopped doing that until now. Frosh okay,
because I have not been paying enough attention to this,
but Netflix is getting into all sorts of business out there.
(30:26):
If you're a Netflix subscriber, there's probably stuff that you
can do that you don't even know you could do.
I was talking to Josh the other day because Josh
plays video games from time to time.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
And he was telling me.
Speaker 1 (30:36):
I was like, Josh, you can play video games like
Red Dead Redemption on Netflix. And he goes, yeah, you
can play them, and I'm like, you can.
Speaker 2 (30:45):
Play a video game on Netflix. I know.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
What people you think listening right now, have ever used
their Netflix to play a video game? One?
Speaker 3 (30:58):
Maybe I did see it and I was playing for
a little bit Luna Plus, which was Amazon's video game,
and it came with a controller. I'm still grandfather into
their monthly price. Yeah, and I just the last bride
line I took. I brought my controller along with me
(31:18):
and I was able to play many a video game
on my laptop.
Speaker 1 (31:22):
I've never played a Netflix game, and I guess they're
just like, it's cloud gaming, so all the computer stuff
is happening in the cloud, but you're playing the game
in real time, and so the video games are your
kids playing stuff. You can play a lot of them along,
and Netflix has some of them. Netflix is pushing more
of this, and they just announced something called Best Guess
(31:43):
Live and it's now a weekday mobile game show, bringing
back that sort of live game show thing.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
Come on down.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
Every Monday through Friday at eight pm Eastern five pm Pacific.
People can play along to win thousands and thousands of
dollars of prize money with Howie Mandel and Hunter March
not from the I don't know, but it's every single
day a live game that you could play along with
(32:15):
all these people. There are two puzzles per episode. The
first puzzle is a bit easier, so the prize is smaller.
The second puzzle is a big payoff. But we'll test
your brain and you do this puzzle live with everybody
else Netflix. Like Wordle, Slash Trivia, HQ, you know slash
live gaming type things, and Netflix has just launched this.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
I could have sworn that. I just saw HQ Trivia
and Scott pop up on TikTok like it was coming
back to that. I say, because I have not confirmed it, Netflix,
can you chill.
Speaker 2 (32:55):
Out for a little bit. They're doing a lot, We're
taking over everything.
Speaker 3 (32:58):
It seems I'm getting a little confused as to why
am I paying starting in the twenty twenty six year
too much stuff that's now combining.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
Well, now they're going to tell you, Sabrina that you
got to pay more for Netflix because you got video games,
you got movies, you got TV shows.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
But what did they just take over?
Speaker 4 (33:19):
Warner Brothers is what they're trying to take Now.
Speaker 3 (33:22):
We're saying, I'm seeing a little bit of the teasers
of like HBO Max stuff, and then you see that
with what's the other one that just combined.
Speaker 2 (33:33):
Wasn't it like Paramountain something else?
Speaker 1 (33:35):
Yeah? Yeah, paramounts platform with.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
Are they going to be quiet about it?
Speaker 3 (33:41):
And those of us that have the separate streaming services
going to just double.
Speaker 2 (33:47):
Pay because I'll tell you what. I'll tell you what
email I did not receive.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
Instacart Plus and Uber Plus have all been in cahoots
for years.
Speaker 4 (33:57):
There's too many pluses.
Speaker 3 (33:58):
There's time for both services that give you their perks
for no reason apparent.
Speaker 1 (34:05):
Really, well, it's all gonna get more and more expensive.
And let's play a game because Best Guess Live hosted
by Howie Mandel, which hilariously the story that I'm looking
at says of Bobby's World fame, I'm like, hasn't he
done some other things that you could know? I mean,
(34:25):
Bobby's World is a good time, it's fun, fun little
intro on that one, but I wud have thought of
something else. I don't think it has words, and it's
like bomb bomb that's the world I was doing the Simpsons, Mom.
I forgot how it goes. But it's like Bobby's on
a little like scooter thing in her like a go card.
He's moving around. Anyhow, they got to get the money
(34:46):
that helps them pay for this Best Guess Live show
on Netflix, and it's gonna come from your pocket. There's
no doubt about that. In my mind, it will be happening.
You will mobile game, you will pay more, you will Netflix,
you will not disconnect, you will not become a pirate.
But you shure you, you probably should let us know
(35:08):
what you think.
Speaker 4 (35:08):
Send us a dispatch.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
Maybe you're fed up with all this, maybe you love it,
maybe you're going to play. Whatever your thoughts are, go
leave your message right now at the newsjunkie dot com.
All right, let's see what we got here. Let's play
one or two dispatch as well. We have just a moment.
Here's somebody saying we need to keep these kids off
social media.
Speaker 4 (35:30):
Yeah, I mean, okay, let's see what's.
Speaker 2 (35:32):
Up, junkies.
Speaker 20 (35:33):
I think banning kids from social media is probably the
best idea that's.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
Ever been had in the past five years period.
Speaker 13 (35:40):
When we grew up, if you had a bully, you
went home.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
You did not have to deal with them.
Speaker 13 (35:44):
But having somebody bullying you in your home through a.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
Media platform exclamation book is way too easy nowadays.
Speaker 4 (35:50):
Thank you appreciate that.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
It's not that I disagree, it's just that, Well, then
I guess I do disagree. I guess, I guess I
take it bag. I guess I do disagree. And here's why.
While the world is saying, how do we get kids
off of social media? I'm saying, Okay, that could be good.
There are many reasons why this is bad for kids'
brains when they're this young. I can get behind some
(36:14):
of that, but I think technically, in my worldview, I
believe it should be done via the parents and getting
parents more involved in kids' lives, and not banning stuff
like big government stuff. But with that all said, I
would be much more fired up and interested about banning
adults from social media all right, because the morons that
(36:36):
I see on display every single day filming themselves, stealing stuff,
doing all sorts of illegal things, making life worse for
all sorts of individuals that just so happen to live
close to them. When they have a TikTok account they want.
Speaker 4 (36:50):
To make viral.
Speaker 1 (36:52):
I'm more concerned with banning a lot of adults from
to start social media voting would be next, that would
be the next thing in line, because god, man, there's
there's just a huge, huge problem out there.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (37:06):
But you would lose your mind if that happened to you, Sean,
if what.
Speaker 4 (37:10):
If they put banned me from social media?
Speaker 3 (37:13):
Yeah before and you talked about as soon as.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
It happened, I banned.
Speaker 1 (37:19):
I've been banned for various platforms from very minor things.
I've never posted anything bad, uh, not once in my life.
Speaker 4 (37:26):
I've been banned for stupid things. Things.
Speaker 2 (37:29):
Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
There was a news story one time I posted and
I had a young guy who touched an electrical line
in the middle of it, and then that was the
footage was too much. I guess like these, you know,
these kind of things where it's not really anything bad.
I'm talking about people online who are just dumb and
(37:53):
and and still have internet access. It's one of the
problems in America. I don't think internet access is expensive
enough yet. I think we need to price some of
the absolute lunatics out of the internet access and maybe
maybe that will improve.
Speaker 12 (38:07):
They can we test them first, so everyone's prices don't
go up.
Speaker 3 (38:12):
Man and you act like rich people aren't dumb either,
not all, but.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
There's some or those that have access to money.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
It's not the rich people or imm or dumb people
are the problem necessarily. It's just that really, really low
class people are the problem. And so you got to
it was like shooting fish in a barrel if you
aim for particular groups when you're trying to look for
some of these like low class people, I don't mean
(38:41):
poor people.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
I mean people who.
Speaker 1 (38:44):
Don't have any respect for anybody else on people who
are antisocial, no manners, people who are like monsters, who
who are mean to everybody else online and offline. Those
kind of people, that's who I would aim. I'd rather
have them than the teenager is off some of these
social media platforms. I'd rather have the very political people.
(39:04):
If I could hit a button and delete every major
super partisan grifter political person from social media or every teenager,
I'm hitting the grifter button. I'm pushing it every single time.
Speaker 2 (39:17):
What do you think?
Speaker 1 (39:18):
Let us know, send a dispatch over on thenewsjunkie dot com.
Right now, I can't help but think this is a
bad idea. I'll save this when we come back. I mean,
there's a lot of Christmas ideas that are great, and
then this one is just it's so bad. It is
so unbelievably bad. But we'll share this idea that a
lot of people are apparently doing for the holidays and
(39:38):
you shouldn't. That is coming up next on the news. Chunky,
(39:58):
I can't take any more of this six seven stuff.
And the reason why, once again, it's not the kid's fault,
it's the adult's fault. So like, the kids do the
six to seventh thing, and then the adults are like,
we don't get it, so we don't like it, and
it's stupid.
Speaker 3 (40:14):
We don't like it because we saw we don't get it,
so we're gonna put it on a T shirt.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
Oh, we're gonna triple down, and we're worse.
Speaker 1 (40:22):
We're gonna do even worse because one of the things
I saw, we see we could bring this up. Yeah,
this is a perfect example of exactly what has gone wrong.
Speaker 4 (40:30):
With all this stuff.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
Again, it's not the fact that your kids or anybody
else is doing the six to seventh thing. It's that
the adults decided, like, oh man, we too think everything
is annoying in the world and there's too much politics
and et cetera, et cetera. So we're going to get
in on the six seven trend and we're gonna be
like the kids with that cool. This is the adults
(40:54):
are ruining the thing that the kids had going on. Now.
The kids have other things going on that I don't
necessarily support, which we could talk about later, because I
hear at high schools and middle schools across the United
States of America right now there's a viral game taking over.
Speaker 4 (41:14):
That is called Diddy Tag, and the kids.
Speaker 1 (41:19):
Are tagging each other and saying you're Diddy, and then
everybody has to stay away from Diddy for the rest
of the day at school.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
Kind of like regular tag, but there's just.
Speaker 3 (41:36):
Time.
Speaker 2 (41:38):
It is much like those things.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
Yeah, a version to middle school with last name Soto
m and uh if he graised anybody, it would be
Sodo Germs.
Speaker 2 (41:54):
As an adult now, yeah, for adults.
Speaker 1 (41:57):
I mean, I thought maybe the bullying made it so
Benjamin buttoned or something he never never grew out of.
That is that is Unfortunately the outcome that that happens
for this is the school embracing this and again ruining
it for the kids. I just wanted to bring this
to you from ABC seven.
Speaker 9 (42:17):
Here you go, Especially if you are a teacher, you've
likely heard kids shouting that six seven for no apparent reason.
Speaker 21 (42:24):
Absolutely, it is an internet thing that has become a
bit of a disruption classrooms. So one local school district
had decided, if you can't beat them, join them. How
in this ABC six seven?
Speaker 2 (42:41):
No, I did it in my head and I did
not see it.
Speaker 4 (42:46):
Why not? You know what?
Speaker 1 (42:47):
This is the moment to take a stand. I don't
remember if you guys saw this famous clip. There's a
famous clip on MSNBC back in the day and one
of the women who works for MSNBC, she's now married,
I think the Joe Scarborough guy who hosts Morning Joe,
and her name's Mika Brazinski, and Mika Brazinski was on
(43:09):
MSNBC and that she was reading the script for the
next story she was supposed to do, and the script
on it was talking about yet another Britney Spears story,
I believe, and she took out a lighter. If I
recall correctly, I might be wrong on some of this,
and she burned the Britney Spears story script in the
(43:31):
middle of the show that she was doing. You don't
just have to blindly parrot whatever is on the screen.
Speaker 4 (43:38):
And that's what this lady's doing.
Speaker 1 (43:40):
She's like, it's a six seven exclusives.
Speaker 21 (43:46):
Now in this ABC six seven story, it is.
Speaker 6 (43:51):
The sixty seventh day of school here at Sheppar Elementary School.
Speaker 4 (43:55):
Got it so Krin pumped up because of.
Speaker 6 (44:00):
Okay, students and even teacher of sporting shirts blazing with six.
Speaker 2 (44:04):
The teachers have it, the kids have their faces painted.
There's there's a what.
Speaker 3 (44:09):
I mean, if they're having a good time?
Speaker 11 (44:11):
My god?
Speaker 1 (44:12):
Are they? They seem to be though they do, But
maybe I'm missing something. Hold on, let's say seven.
Speaker 6 (44:18):
All of the schools in the Claremont Unified School districts
joining the six seven fun.
Speaker 4 (44:22):
Six seven balloons.
Speaker 6 (44:23):
That's a chap Rail elementary today, all the equations adding
up to sixty seven.
Speaker 2 (44:28):
Oh gosh, what's the point. That's the easiest math class ever.
You don't know it until you do the math problem
and after the fourth one you're.
Speaker 3 (44:39):
Like, oh, the rest of them are six seven.
Speaker 1 (44:41):
This is where education has stopped at. We're now the
point where an education where like, hey, the kids can't
count or read let's make all the answers to the
problems six to seven or and we'll solve it here glass.
Speaker 2 (44:55):
Folder, like the kids hate us, so let's just have
fun with this.
Speaker 3 (44:59):
Now. This is where we come in. Have we not
started the rumor that six seven means something.
Speaker 1 (45:05):
Vile that hasn't happened yet, not yet, but it's probably
not in the works that.
Speaker 7 (45:12):
Uh huh?
Speaker 1 (45:13):
Or if they say seven, if they said it's like
sixty nine, but this is different and then.
Speaker 2 (45:21):
It's taller, something like.
Speaker 1 (45:24):
That is happening. They all end real quick. Hang on,
let me go back to the school and whatever they're
doing here for six seven days?
Speaker 6 (45:31):
Six seven asked them a question, and there's only one answer.
Speaker 17 (45:41):
We do activities for like the fiftieth day and the
hundredth day of school, where we were like, maybe let's.
Speaker 10 (45:47):
Do the sixty seventh day of school too.
Speaker 6 (45:50):
During the lunch hour, students playing all sorts of games
which center on sixty.
Speaker 17 (45:54):
Seven, like sixty seven seconds to get a cotton ball
in the spoon, to get across the terms.
Speaker 4 (46:00):
I can't do it.
Speaker 1 (46:01):
I just I mean I they literally spend so much
time building an entire day around this thing.
Speaker 3 (46:07):
I the ban it and ruin it, or they jump on.
This will not work in high school, obviously, but I.
Speaker 4 (46:20):
Can't just shut down Diddy Tag.
Speaker 1 (46:22):
If the school goes it's Diddy Tag Tuesday, everybody get.
Speaker 2 (46:27):
In on the Diddy tagh I'm getting fired. You know
they answered all the.
Speaker 1 (46:34):
It's a freak off Friday, guys. Freak Off Friday is perfect.
Freak off Fridays at cool. Diddy Tag is the outdoor experience.
The answer to all the questions is Diddy that you
have on your test and then you Then they're embracing
the trend that the kids are playing.
Speaker 2 (46:51):
Sure, I don't know if.
Speaker 1 (46:52):
If that's the answer, if ignoring it is. I only
know that this is nothing new. They will always have
these things. It wasn't Diddy Tag when I was in
Crestwood Middle School. It was Hillbilly's versus Rednecks. It sounds
like a pretty limited selection. And now that I think
about Hillbilly's versus Rednecks, I think I'm again that wrong.
(47:17):
Somebody will know.
Speaker 2 (47:17):
I have no idea. Is that like it was a.
Speaker 1 (47:20):
Game and no, you chose when you were at the
school what team did you want to be on? Did
you want to be on the Hillbilly's team or the
Rednecks team unless I got those name team names wrong.
And then when you when you chose a team, then
and during the breaks between classes, if you saw somebody
from the other team, you had to.
Speaker 4 (47:37):
Start punching them, and you start punching them.
Speaker 10 (47:40):
In the whole gang warfare and you'd.
Speaker 22 (47:42):
Be like, oh, guys, I saw some Hillbillies over here.
Speaker 2 (47:45):
Man, damn blood verse crips.
Speaker 3 (47:48):
Kind of at my school, it was just the choke
out game where all the kids came together to make
each other pass out m hm and to cut off
some auction into your brain to make.
Speaker 1 (47:59):
Yeah, yeah, still popular to this day. Shirts versus skin tags. No,
that's not it. No, that's the whole different gang there.
Speaker 2 (48:09):
I think it was Hillbilly's.
Speaker 1 (48:11):
Versus Rednecks, but I might be wrong about that. And
it was the dumbest thing in the world. And I'll
never forget. Like we all thought we were so cool.
We all thought we were so cool. Not when we
were playing the game, but when everybody was told to
sit down in class and there was a campus announcement
like all school announcement, right, And at the all school announcement,
(48:34):
they said We know what you're doing. We know you're
playing this game Hillbilly's Versus Rednecks, and you guys are
punching each other. The next five people who are caught
playing this game after class will be immediately expelled from.
Speaker 2 (48:49):
School, suspend it or smarts.
Speaker 1 (48:53):
Zero tolerance for you punching each other in the name
of this game that you're playing. And they were absolutely
against it. They didn't embrace it. This is more violent,
so I get it. But we'll see what you think
about all of this. Let us know.
Speaker 4 (49:08):
Maybe you had your version of this too.
Speaker 1 (49:10):
Send a dispatch over at thenewsjunkie dot com. We all
have our traditions, after all, right, some of them are good.
Speaker 2 (49:17):
Some of the car before class.
Speaker 1 (49:20):
A lot of kids they still do that. You know,
that's still as prevalent as it ever was. I would
guess that's still prevalent now. There are lots of trends,
lots of trends around the holidays. Even show hands on
the show here, which is the perfect thing to do
on a radio show. Who currently has a Christmas tree
(49:42):
up in their house?
Speaker 2 (49:43):
Christmas tree up?
Speaker 1 (49:44):
That's Sabrina, Josh, It's me too.
Speaker 4 (49:47):
All of it.
Speaker 2 (49:48):
We are all Christmas tree up.
Speaker 1 (49:50):
Oh, I have one one main one. Cordy wants another
one now because she wants a silver one and the
She's like, we got it, we could put it anywhere,
and I'm like, I don't know. I don't want another tree.
Speaker 3 (50:04):
I have one that's from like nineteen eighty something that
my clad gave to me and I mean it's crusty,
but now it's the pet's Christmas tree.
Speaker 1 (50:15):
We gotta try this. This is the way they do
it in Switzerland. I'll play this for your folks who
are watching. For everybody who's not watching, I will put
it up on see it now because it's a visual
and we talk about something.
Speaker 4 (50:25):
It's a visual on the show.
Speaker 1 (50:26):
It goes up on sea it now so you can
see it. They did their ceremonial lighting of the tree,
and Switzerland is very different there. They don't use lights
that you plug into the wall. They don't use those.
Here's the way they do things. Just take a look
at this.
Speaker 2 (50:42):
Here we go.
Speaker 10 (50:43):
That's visionning to lot.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
Like right on fire. Let's go. It's candles on the
Christmas tree and the whole closed old ass church, wooden
wooden church.
Speaker 1 (50:59):
They light the candles and the candles all light up
on this Christmas tree and it's real fire that's burning.
Speaker 2 (51:08):
That seems bad.
Speaker 3 (51:09):
I'll tell you what, yes, sort of kids, when the
Christmas tree is dead and gone, that fire is massive
on fire, is huge, pine needles flammable.
Speaker 1 (51:24):
But what happens when all the candles burn down to
the bottom?
Speaker 2 (51:28):
Christmas is over?
Speaker 4 (51:30):
So's the venue, the whole thing.
Speaker 2 (51:32):
It's done with.
Speaker 4 (51:33):
I'll put this on see it now.
Speaker 1 (51:35):
I guess this is their idea of how traditionally things
should be done. You may take issue with it. It
seems like a safety hazard, so i'd back you up
on that one, But let us know what you think.
Send a dispatch over at thenewschunkie dot com right now.
All right, I'm putting that up on see it now,
and then we're gonna go into a couple of dispatches
trying to get a better about working in at least
(51:55):
one or two of those here and there.
Speaker 4 (51:57):
Christ Miss tree.
Speaker 2 (52:01):
Sweet it crazy than fire.
Speaker 1 (52:04):
Okay, Christmas tree, I did it wrong.
Speaker 2 (52:07):
I did it wrong.
Speaker 1 (52:08):
Fire candles that'll that'll work. That's up over there, over
one won't make any sense tomorrow. Christmas tree and fire candles.
Speaker 2 (52:16):
But today, you're live over on the.
Speaker 4 (52:18):
News Junkie dot com.
Speaker 1 (52:20):
Look at to see it now section and you can
see what we were talking about there just moments ago.
All right, let's work in that one dispatch as promised.
Here's Momentagie the realtor saying adults should be banned from
social media. All right, they guess.
Speaker 10 (52:34):
I hope you guys doing well.
Speaker 23 (52:35):
Thank you, Sean. I agree with you that we need
some adults to be banned from social media.
Speaker 10 (52:39):
And I have a question maybe even answered for this.
Speaker 23 (52:41):
I thought Alex Jones was completely banned from any kind
of social platform because of his lives and stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (52:48):
And I still see this guy broadcasting.
Speaker 10 (52:50):
What's up with that?
Speaker 2 (52:51):
Like, I'm not a hunt of buttent.
Speaker 10 (52:53):
Sure, thanks by, he.
Speaker 1 (52:55):
Was banned from everything for a while, from everything, Alex
Jones was banned, But now I don't think that's the case.
Speaker 4 (53:03):
I don't know what platforms he's up on.
Speaker 1 (53:07):
My thing is, like I agree with Elon Musk on this.
I think that there are laws, right, so if you
do something that's illegal, then you should face repercussions and
you should be banned from platforms and stuff. If you're
out there filming yourself driving one hundred and fifty miles
per hour, drinking down the road and posting that online.
(53:30):
Those kind of things like laws that you break, defaming somebody,
et cetera, et cetera. Those are the things that people
should be deplatformed and banned for if they are violating
actual laws. If they're not, and they're just what you know,
we deem like offensive, whether it's off to the left
or the right or anywhere else politically, it's something we
deem offensive. I think that they it's fine if they
(53:52):
just reduce distribution, like, don't be a platform that makes
this stuff go viral. Make it so it's still there,
still get to post it. You're just not assisting them
and spreading this message. Anny.
Speaker 4 (54:04):
So, I think.
Speaker 1 (54:05):
That's where allegedly Alex Jones was supposed to be relegated to.
Speaker 4 (54:09):
But it doesn't sound like that.
Speaker 1 (54:10):
On your feet, it sounds like he's still getting around,
and perhaps that's the case.
Speaker 4 (54:15):
I don't know what he's up to these days.
Speaker 1 (54:16):
I just know what was the clip that I already
wanted to eat his neighbors, I.
Speaker 2 (54:23):
That's classic. Does he still have the Hitler mustache or.
Speaker 1 (54:29):
Drives with it?
Speaker 2 (54:30):
Crazy. Of course, I can't even walk in the grocery
store anymore.
Speaker 1 (54:36):
We're gonna take a quick break. When we come back,
we'll get to you. Your Your feedback is rolling and
it's important. I got a bunch more clips to get to.
We got a warning for the holidays about AI kids toys.
Speaker 2 (54:47):
What are they saying to your kids? You wouldn't believe.
Speaker 1 (54:51):
It if you miss this, But you're not going to
I hope not. It's coming up next on the news.
Speaker 24 (54:55):
Chunky.
Speaker 1 (55:13):
Andy Dick is a name that I thought. I was like, oh,
I wonder what percentage of our listeners have any clue
who Andy Dick is anymore? Because he hasn't really been
in stuff, right.
Speaker 3 (55:27):
I mean, we've talked about him, but every time it's been.
Speaker 2 (55:30):
Something better he's doing or saying something nuts. Right. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (55:34):
But during the break I was asking people, I was like,
how many of you are familiar with Andy Dick? A
lot of people, at least on the chat side of things,
are familiar with Andy Dick.
Speaker 4 (55:43):
And I'm sure later we'll get into.
Speaker 1 (55:44):
More of what was going on in his whole situation
because it's been a fiasco. But I will tell you
about that type of person real quick. I have seen
this in my years on this planet more times than
I would like to admit, and there's something disturbing about
it and infuriating about it. Andy Dick is a terrible person,
all right. I have enough information to say that with
(56:07):
all of the authority on planet Earth. He's a terrible,
addicted human being. And you could say his addictions and
the monsters associated with it are to blame. But I
put personal responsibility on people too, and he's done some
pretty gross, disgusting things over the years, all right, and
just not the least of which is probably leading to
the death of the beloved Phil Hartman. I don't even
(56:29):
need to go down that particular rabbit hole. But not
the least of which is taking Phil Hartman away from us.
That's the syn and of itself. But Andy Dick is
this type of person that you'll run into, unfortunately during
your journey here in this game called life, where they're
so addicted to everything, but they never seem to die.
(56:50):
And I mean I know people who are like the
worst people you could ever imagine, all right. I got
somebody in particular in mind. It's just like the worst
human being that you could have never imagined. I've never
talked about them on the show at all, and I
won't mention them by name here, But somebody that I
knew was being incredibly abusive to their mother on a
(57:14):
daily basis, Right, No, somebody very very addicted to drugs,
constantly going in and out of jail and adding so
much stress to everybody's life around them. They they're terrible, terrible,
terrible berths and seemingly all the people around them would
(57:34):
die and they just wouldn't die, like they would do
so many drugs and just live through it all somehow someway,
and you're like the bad person who just we'd all
be better off if they just odd at some point
down then they never drop. They somehow manage on through
all of it. Anybody around them gets a whiff of
anything and they're completely gone immediately. But they seem some
(57:56):
of these worst types of people to be bored Reline invincible. Now,
I don't want Andy Dick to die, but I'm I'm
over the thing where we pretend like somebody like that
is a good person on some level. He's not, and
he's he's been a spectacle for a while that people
have just watched and kind of put up with through
(58:17):
various different dramas that he's gone into. I'm sure we'll
have some more updates on that as the show goes on.
What's happening with him, But can't get away from the
video of him that's going pretty viral today.
Speaker 3 (58:28):
We can't wait to show you the follow up interview.
Speaker 4 (58:33):
Is he just talking normally?
Speaker 13 (58:35):
Now?
Speaker 4 (58:35):
Well, here, I.
Speaker 2 (58:35):
Guess always he's always talking like that.
Speaker 3 (58:39):
Yeah, it just seems like that's his character voice.
Speaker 2 (58:45):
But has he just always been that messed up? And
this is.
Speaker 1 (58:51):
I mean to say, Is he talking normally considering he
was completely blue and passed out on the street in
front of everybody.
Speaker 3 (58:57):
Oh yeah, in that sense, he is answering questions and
responding to it.
Speaker 4 (59:02):
Yeah, they're invincible.
Speaker 1 (59:03):
I don't know how this happens anybody else. They do
this one time and gone forever, and the people that
are the worst of the worst like this, they seem
to be invincible.
Speaker 2 (59:12):
Tolerance is a thing.
Speaker 1 (59:13):
We'll get to that in a bit here on the show.
We'll see what you think about all of this with
your dispatches momentarily we have this week. It was also
rolled out by the White House. The Trump Gold Cards,
y are out there. They're for real. Trumpcard dot Gov
is the website and it says, my god, unlock life
(59:33):
in America. Apply now, And then they have a whole
website about Oh, there's a Platinum card coming soon.
Speaker 10 (59:41):
What does that get you? Super citizen?
Speaker 1 (59:44):
Trump Gold Card for fifteen thousand dollars is a Department
of Homeland Security processing fee and after background approval a
contribution of one million dollars. You will receive US residency
and record tom with the Trump Gold Card.
Speaker 2 (01:00:02):
It says, in record time, in.
Speaker 1 (01:00:04):
Record time with the Trump Gold Card. Additional small fees
of the US Department of State may apply depending on
the applicant. And then the Trump Platinum Card coming soon.
And I've got audio Trump talking about this in a moment.
Trump Platinum Card. Foreign nationals can sign up now. It's
cure their placed on the waiting list for the Trump
Platinum Card. That'll be fifteen thousand dollars Department of Homes
Land Security processing.
Speaker 2 (01:00:22):
Fee and five million dollar contribution.
Speaker 1 (01:00:25):
They'll have the ability to spend up two hundred and
seventy days in the United States without being subject to
US taxes and non US income back on the first one,
you have to have a background approval on the Trump
Gold card, and real quick. Here is Trump talking about
this at the White House this week. I believe he is.
Speaker 2 (01:00:45):
Hang on. I think the volumes always practicing being a mime.
Speaker 1 (01:00:49):
No no, no, no, he's talking, he's speaking. I just have
the last clip was very allowed. Here.
Speaker 3 (01:00:54):
It is a little description of the Trump Gold Sure.
Speaker 25 (01:01:00):
For an individual it's one million dollars, and for corporation
it's two million dollars. And as the President said, for corporation.
Speaker 4 (01:01:10):
They spend power lutneck here.
Speaker 25 (01:01:12):
They can then have an employee full betting, the best
vetting the government has ever done, fifteen thousand dollars vetting
to make sure that these people absolutely qualify to be
in America.
Speaker 4 (01:01:26):
So full vetting, the top.
Speaker 1 (01:01:27):
Vett all of the vetting, and you spend a million
dollars and you get into the United States of America.
I mean, my biggest question vetting aside. I want to
make sure peopleren't rorists or anything. But I don't mind
people coming into America. I don't mind more people coming
on the map.
Speaker 2 (01:01:43):
I just want.
Speaker 1 (01:01:43):
Them to be American, and I want them to quest
to be American, not to constantly be talking about wherever
it is they come from and have allegiance to the
place that they come from more than they do the
United States of America. That right there, that's the problem,
right when you have people who are like You're still like,
my number one country is the country I came from.
(01:02:04):
Piss off, get out of here. Then I want Americans
in America that want to be American, right, not a
perfect country, but a great country and one that I
think you should, you know, want to try to be
part of the social fabric of But they probably will
last that I would guess in this whole background check.
Do you want to be an American? Are you going
to assimilate? Those are big questions. Million dollars per person,
(01:02:28):
two million dollars for a corporation, and you then get
to be a US citizen or a company that works here.
And they built this nice little website for everything America's
opportunities accelerated. Submit your application careful consideration United States Citizenship
and Immigration Services as an in depth background check in
(01:02:48):
processes to vet the potential cardholder, and then you will
be approved. I wonder if you get an actual golden
car that I made. I think I have seen it. Yeah,
I think there might have been a moment where it
was showed at some point in time.
Speaker 4 (01:03:03):

wording for the January sixth pardon that Trump has technically

already pardoned the pipe bomber when he finally goes to court,
that his lawyer has an argument that he falls under
the broad pardon. It's some chance, but he can use
that argument. Ask MO, okay, we can we can maybe
ask MO about that. I think that you might have
some trouble with this because what this person did I

Speaker 1 (01:32:02):
It, yeah because that was the future for a, moment
and the future for a moment was, like you'll just
get everything delivered right to your house and you can
have access to this massive library of DVDs and video.
Games then very quickly it's like, nope as the person,
said streaming is.
Speaker 2 (01:32:17):
Here the future is.
Speaker 1 (01:32:18):

Tanker they've got an oil. Tanker what's gonna happen with the?
Oil we don't know. Yet we don't know where all
this is. Going but there's some new twists and turns
in this and that is coming up. Next some of
(01:33:00):
the news. Junkie the only thing that makes me worry
about our, future about the future of our, country about
(01:33:22):
the future of our, world is how gullible people, are
how susceptible people are to things like fake. News HOW
i can watch what's. HAPPENING i try to ignore this
as BEST i, can with all the Like Charlie, Kirk
Candice owens stuff that's been out, there conspiracy crazy, everything
(01:33:42):
all of these like stay at home moms who homeschool their,
kids who Watch Candice owens and swept into this whole like,
actually and she's literally like a.
Speaker 2 (01:33:53):
Woman She's.
Speaker 4 (01:33:55):
Charlie that's most of our.
Speaker 1 (01:33:56):
Audience She's Charlie day From Always son In. Philadelphia it's
literally who this person. Is AND i always, wondered, like
who is she talking? To and THEN i saw some
audience insights and they're, like it's a lot of women
at home who watch her, show who don't get news
from other, sources and that's what pulls them. In And i'm, like,
(01:34:19):
man it doesn't seem very convincing to. Me it doesn't
seem like anything that would ever wrote me. IN i would,
go this person is constantly promising a big bombshell and
it's never. Coming you're never delivering on. It it doesn't
exist there at the end of the. Day that's the
thing that always makes me a little worried is that
people are that ready for the next. Conspiracy it's not
(01:34:42):
that there Are Alex jones people out, there or that
They're Candice owans people out. THERE i expect that to
be the, case but it's that people fall for it
that they and they don't have this part where eventually they, go,
well hang, on when you're all this, stuff you're, saying
he isn't really panning. Out you keep promising some big,
bombshell BUT i never ever get it. Here those stories
(01:35:03):
have been everywhere this. Week it's it's kind of hard
to stay with us for.
Speaker 3 (01:35:07):
Months, yeah and still, Like i'm going to prove, It
amar And i've got the receipts.
Speaker 1 (01:35:12):
Right, Yeah and it's either that the truth is either
that a guy Shot Charlie kirk and killed him over
words or the most elaborate conspiracy you've ever heard of
in your entire.
Speaker 22 (01:35:22):
Life, yeah so like the macade and THE idf teamed
up with The egyptians and there were flying planes over THE,
us and Then Charlie kirk's wife actually was behind it
because she wanted to clear the way for, him and.
Speaker 3 (01:35:35):
And the way that she Held trump's ahead or was
A jd. Vance, yeah what have we not talked about
since she started all, this WHICH i believe was the
day after two days After Charlie kirk's. DEATH i don't
know what her calling The french president's wait a man
(01:35:57):
and the giant lawsuits around.
Speaker 1 (01:35:59):
It, yeah she still got to deal with.
Speaker 4 (01:36:01):
That that's still going on right.
Speaker 2 (01:36:03):
Now it's not the hot.
Speaker 1 (01:36:04):
Headline it's because she gets some views out of, That
but she doesn't get as many views out of that
as if she when she goes After Charlie, kirk which
is crazy to. Me it's, like what a disgusting thing
for somebody who calls himself a person's, Friend LIKE i
can't Imagine josh dies and then for six months, After
I'm i'm grifting Over josh's, ashes And i'm going iheartsuits
(01:36:28):
actually wanted him dead, man because and then there will
be drones just brain. Dead people are, like, okay, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:36:35):
BECAUSE i knew too. Much, yeah he knew too.
Speaker 12 (01:36:37):
MUCH i give you guys permission to grift off of
my dead.
Speaker 1 (01:36:42):
BODY i can't do. IT i DON'T i don't like.
IT i WISH i. Could i'd be the best there
ever was IF i was comfortable with. Grifting and then
at the end of the, day being, Like i'm not telling.
Speaker 2 (01:36:52):
The, Truth, well who?
Speaker 1 (01:36:53):
Cares everybody's eating this up, man And i'm printing cash over.
HERE i look at all the like one hundred, thousand
one hundred and fifty thousand people live tuning in to that.
Speaker 2 (01:37:03):
She ain't the only. One let's be, crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:37:05):
Man, well it's just that's what draws in so many.
Audiences it's, like you want to build an audience fast
one be a terrible human, being to say something that
feeds into people's tribalistic. Tendencies it'll, work it'll, Work but for,
me then you build an audience of people who you.
HATE i don't want an audience of PEOPLE i. Hate
(01:37:27):
that sounds pretty terrible to. Me that sounds like a bad.
Speaker 2 (01:37:30):
Thing that's What josh. WANTS i hear he. Does that's
right because he's a he's kind of A jew by.
Speaker 1 (01:37:42):
Proxy he, says he's A jew adjacent.
Speaker 10 (01:37:45):
And more Like George santo says Jew.
Speaker 1 (01:37:49):
Ish, right you're not More jewish than, him it's no.
Speaker 2 (01:37:54):
Way, yeah, huh He's. Jewish that's not. How it's a.
Religion it's a.
Speaker 1 (01:38:03):
Religion he's gone to actually the classes that you have
to go to to convert over to the religion so
that you can get married because his wife Is.
Speaker 2 (01:38:12):
Jewish, Yes i'll be going on my birthright.
Speaker 1 (01:38:15):
SOON i believe that brings him into the world of
all of These masad type people who will lead him
to slaughter. Here and it's only just a matter of.
Speaker 2 (01:38:26):
Time NOW i know About epstein being A masad.
Speaker 4 (01:38:28):
Agent, yeah it's a clear it's out.
Speaker 1 (01:38:30):
There Erica kirk has been on, TELEVISION i, guess fighting
back against This Candice own. Stuff if you haven't heard,
it don't, worry you're not really missing out on. Much
but it's all just. Conspiracies here's what really Killed Charlie.
Kirk what really Killed Charlie kirk is a growing movement
of people who hate free, speech a growing movement of
people who are, like, actually there are some things that
you can say that make it okay for me to
(01:38:51):
kill you or for somebody else to kill. You that
is what Killed Charlie. Kirk that is one of the
big things that we have to deal with in this.
Country we need to make sure that people get back
on board with like free, speech even if it's stuff
THAT i don't agree, with get back on that. Bandwagon
that is what Killed Charlie, kirk, right that is what
led to him being killed for speaking out a college.
(01:39:11):
Campus nothing to do with all these crazy. Conspiracies but
now his wife is On fox talking about.
Speaker 4 (01:39:17):
This let's see what she.
Speaker 8 (01:39:18):
Said come after, me call me, NAMES i don't, care
call me what you, want go down that rabbit, hole.
Whatever but when you go after my, family my turning,
POINT usa, family My Charlie kirks show. Family when you
go after the people THAT i, love and you're making
hundreds and thousands of dollars every single episode going after
(01:39:42):
the people THAT i love because somehow they're in on.
Speaker 7 (01:39:44):
This, no.
Speaker 2 (01:39:48):
You, KNOW i have to say, it, no, no.
Speaker 26 (01:39:51):
Don't.
Speaker 2 (01:39:52):
Worry.
Speaker 4 (01:39:53):
End it didn't work on, you but.
Speaker 3 (01:39:54):
It worked on the lady was, Like oh they're in
on this son fucks.
Speaker 2 (01:39:59):
News, No, wow she was just taken aback by.
Speaker 1 (01:40:04):
This she does not like all this talk about conspiracies
and blah blah blah about her her. Husband people go
after her. NonStop i Mean i've seen a lot of.
That i've seen people saying, like, oh you're you're everywhere
but with your, kids and you, know you seem.
Speaker 2 (01:40:19):
To BE i thought. Family she's, like don't come after my.
Family turning point, Family.
Speaker 1 (01:40:26):
Yeah, MAYBE i mean people aren't really actually going after
the kids in. PARTICULAR i don't THINK i haven't personally
seen that they are going after her and how she's
responded to all of, this AND i just think it's,
all like all the grifting is gross to.
Speaker 4 (01:40:43):
Me it's gross. Sod he, Said, SEA i.
Speaker 1 (01:40:45):
Should do a video on YouTube about how she's wrong
about all.
Speaker 2 (01:40:48):
This it'll give.
Speaker 1 (01:40:49):
Views it would only get like some measure of. Views
And i'm telling, you then you end up building this
temp audience that expects all this stuff like they expected
expect these like purity tests to be met on. Everything
they expect you to have all of these, opinions all
these points of, views and if you ever shift against
that at, all the audience they don't care about you
as much as they care about the right, message the
(01:41:11):
message that they want to. HEAR i happen to think
building a long term. Audience this is a, terrible, terrible
terrible idea done by short sighted individuals who are looking
for a big. SHORTCUT i mean it's, tempting but you,
Know i'm going to pass on that one, Course let's
see what we got. Here let's go into a lot
of emails were coming, in so maybe we could do this.
(01:41:32):
One somebody SAYS i have a movie recommendation for you,
guys and it Says, SEAN i have a movie RECOMMENDATION
i think everybody might. Like the movie is Called sunlight
and has a ninety four percent On Rotten. Tomatoes that
doesn't do it for me. Anymore have a great, break Says.
Chad thank, You. Chad i'm not familiar with, it.
Speaker 3 (01:41:52):
And i'm intrigued that there was no like description at
all or reason WHY.
Speaker 2 (01:41:58):
I would like.
Speaker 24 (01:41:58):
It Just.
Speaker 2 (01:42:00):
Sunlight trust, Me that's all we. Got?
Speaker 4 (01:42:02):
Yeah is it like a vampire?
Speaker 2 (01:42:04):
Movie end up? Watching?
Speaker 4 (01:42:08):
Uh?
Speaker 13 (01:42:09):
No not.
Speaker 4 (01:42:10):
YET i won't see.
Speaker 2 (01:42:12):
THAT i liked.
Speaker 1 (01:42:13):
It wait is that the one where she's the she
shaves her head or is that is that.
Speaker 3 (01:42:18):
She doesn't shave her? Head but, yes that's the, one
and it's, uh it's.
Speaker 1 (01:42:24):
Interesting it's about A, ceo the FEMALE ceo that gets, kidnapped, RIGHT,
ok yeah. YOURSELF i want to see. IT i just
haven't gotten around to it. Yet over on, YouTube the
one Man army Yellow ol, says if you believe That
Charlie kirk was shot with a thirty odd, six like
the narrative tells, us you might not be. Bribe, okay
(01:42:44):
colored me, dumb just a big dummy that saw a
guy on a rooftop shoot a guy with the thirty
odd six and then you, know.
Speaker 2 (01:42:54):
Saw did he get it? Rained or is there.
Speaker 1 (01:42:59):
He is in court? Today, actually the twenty two year
old Who Tyler, robinson who is accused of Killing Charlie.
Kirk there's a lot of information about this that makes
it very slam.
Speaker 4 (01:43:12):
Dunk they haven't released all of.
Speaker 1 (01:43:14):
IT i would encourage you to look up more information
about the background of a lot of these People i've
talked about. Before how the YouTuber Turkey tom of all
people ended up WITH fbi Information that was from one
of the very close friends Of Tyler, robinson the guy
who Killed Charlie kirk And Tyler robinson's partner is like
(01:43:35):
trans dude he was living with at the, time and
they explained how they got, radicalized how this all, worked
what things were like in that, household and that to
me was the most maybe the most illuminating Thing i've
heard so, far where it became very clear what. Happened
it was like these people were in close quarters with each,
other they were radicalizing each, other and then one of
(01:43:56):
them made a move to do. This it is sometimes that.
Simple that is really sometimes that's.
Speaker 2 (01:44:01):
Simple you don't.
Speaker 3 (01:44:02):
Often see those that are radicalized just immediately give up
all that. INFORMATION i, mean that's. CURIOUS i definitely want
to see what they, said give up what, information how
they got, radicalized and all the information that was Leading.
Speaker 1 (01:44:14):
Well they didn't Necessarily they were talking on a lot
of different discords and online platforms and. Stuff the, Shooter Tyler,
robinson wasn't as prominent, online although they did find his
readit accounts and a couple of other other accounts that he,
Had but the information came from their close. FRIENDS a
couple of their close friends that were at the house
(01:44:37):
were hanging out with these two and knew what their
interactions were. Like that to, me has been the thing
That i'm talking about that's the most.
Speaker 4 (01:44:44):
Eliminating but there's a.
Speaker 1 (01:44:45):
LOT i, mean it's like as open and shut as
anything else could.
Speaker 2 (01:44:47):
Be like do you see the, guys see what? Happen
you see the.
Speaker 1 (01:44:49):
Evidence to start to believe anything, else you have to
have potato brains and you have to be, like.
Speaker 2 (01:44:55):
You don't know the real.
Speaker 1 (01:44:57):
Story if you keep going down that, PIPELINE i promise,
you you'll end up feeling dumb at the.
Speaker 4 (01:45:01):
End they're gonna let you.
Speaker 1 (01:45:02):
Down you're gonna end up feeling domb at the end
because everybody who drags you along and you're, Like i'm
smarter than all my. Friends at the, end they won't.
Deliver they'll have taken a bunch of your time away
from you and dedicated you to chasing after these different,
conspiracies and none of it will pan.
Speaker 2 (01:45:18):
Out it just.
Speaker 4 (01:45:19):
Won't it just.
Speaker 1 (01:45:19):
Doesn't we got at a bunch of other stuff to get.
INTO i want to, TALK i want to get into jury.
DUTY i want to talk about the cracker barrel, controversy
believe it or. NOT i want to talk about a
lot of, stuff including This michigan football coach that'll be
in jury duty who has just been, fired has also been,
arrested and now there's some people leaking, out what the
(01:45:42):
hell happened? Here why did this star coach in college
football not only get arrested but also get? Fired what?
Happened it's coming up next in The News. Junkie i've
(01:46:09):
never been more mad At iHeartRadio THAN i am at
this moment in. Time oh, boy the sacred teas THAT
i put out, there the teas that it put out,
there is, Like, hey when we come, back here's what's
gonna go. Down you don't want to miss. This it's
coming up next on the News. Junkie and you know commercial,
(01:46:33):
right AND i tease the story that's going to be
in jury, duty and immediately after, like welcome to The
iHeart Sports, center and the guy completely and totally obliterates
the TEAS i just did moments ago and tells everybody
about what was. Happening, WELL i don't know if anybody's
listening to that, guy so we'll still do it. Anyhow
(01:46:53):
we'll tell you what's happening if you don't know to
This michigan football.
Speaker 2 (01:46:57):
Coach but real, Quick Cracker.
Speaker 1 (01:47:00):
Barrel is now dare you happened all over? Again Cracker
barrel has more problems on their, hands believe it or.
Not that's.
Speaker 2 (01:47:08):
RIGHT i.
Speaker 1 (01:47:09):
KNOW i thought it was all over and they wouldn't
have any any more. Issues but now their income has
been falling after this, really really bad flop of a
redesign that they tried to. Do they tried to redesign
the different to restaurants inside and then the signs and.
Stuff the, diners who are a bunch of, old angry,
(01:47:30):
people didn't like. It they're, like this is worse than
when you put some of the beyond meat on the.
Speaker 4 (01:47:37):
Menu we can't deal with this right.
Speaker 1 (01:47:39):
Now but now they're still angry because even though THE
ceo is, like oh, GOD i felt like The american
public has fired, me and THE ceo is, Like i'm so,
SORRY i made a, huge huge. Mistake The Wall Street
journal says they're still. Mad the audience is still. Mad
which time it goes to the thing THAT i tell
(01:48:01):
you over and over and over on the. Show if
you capitulate to an audience of, whiners and you get
on your heels and they start making you apologize for
a bunch of.
Speaker 2 (01:48:09):
Stuff they won't, stop they'll keep.
Speaker 1 (01:48:13):
Going so if you're, like, oh so, sorry What Cracker
barrel should have done is just quietly change the logo
back to where it was and shut up about, this
not gone on some big like apology tour and stuff
or like triple.
Speaker 2 (01:48:23):
Down like do you want to eat this stuff? Anymore
you could.
Speaker 1 (01:48:28):
Go, yeah go somewhere, Else we dare. You The Wall
Street journal reported that customers are still upset At Cracker barrel,
please and they're upset now by recipe changes and cost cutting.
Efforts they said the meals no longer reflect their traditional.
Standards where were you guys going To Cracker barrel like
(01:48:50):
it used to be a four star dining?
Speaker 2 (01:48:52):
Experience no one.
Speaker 1 (01:48:54):
Now Uncle herschel's slopfest is not as good of quality as.
Speaker 2 (01:48:59):
A four star dining.
Speaker 3 (01:49:01):
Experience the one with the games that were, missing pieces
that are on the.
Speaker 2 (01:49:05):
Table, yeah peg game always.
Speaker 1 (01:49:07):
Sucked that's all, Right it's it's. Fine it's fine that
it's it's the quality that, is because it's Like denny's
quality or diner, quality And i'm fine with, that but
to act like used to be great and now it's terrible.
Speaker 4 (01:49:23):
Gruel wouldn't serve it to a.
Speaker 1 (01:49:25):
Prison In, may longtime patrons Told The Wall Street journal
the restaurant's food has deteriorated over the years as favorites
disappeared from the menu and kitchen shortcuts replaced earlier. Practices
still mad At Cracker, Barrel the journal also Reported Cracker
barrel shifted FROM i want you to brace, yourself hold on,
ready hold on all? Right you got the sides of
(01:49:47):
your seat there firmly within your.
Speaker 2 (01:49:49):
Grasp. Yes.
Speaker 1 (01:49:50):
Yeah The Cracker barrel move to stop from rolling biscuit
dough as needed to baking larger batches and chilling them
has made people. ANGRY i can't believe. It they have
stuff rolling out biscuito as, needed and they make larger. Batches.
(01:50:12):
Now they moved some, sides including green, beans from the
stovetop kettles to.
Speaker 2 (01:50:18):
Ovens how do they know this Information they make the
green beans in the. OVENS i can't deal with this.
Anymore it's kind of. Weird, yeah, well complain about.
Speaker 1 (01:50:29):
Everything they're gonna complain about, it all of. It this
is like going To denny's and being, LIKE i cannot believe.
Speaker 3 (01:50:37):
Stop Bringing denny's into. THIS i think you're trying to
start a war that's not.
Speaker 4 (01:50:40):
There i'm not trying to start a.
Speaker 1 (01:50:42):
War i'm just, saying LIKE i expect a certain quality
WHEN i go to a certain type of place WHEN
i go To Cracker. Barrel like if you really went
out Of Cracker barrel and it knocked you, BACK i
start judging. You for, instance like IF i have a bad,
show if the show, sucks And i'll put it on my.
Shoulders the show, SUCKS i screwed it. IT i didn't
(01:51:02):
do the JOB i was supposed. To that's, right AND
i really just let myself. DOWN i will kill myself,
afterwards figure out HOW i did, that HOW i cannot
do that, again and HOW i could be a better
broadcaster and make the show better every single. Day if
after that show THAT i thought, sucked somebody comes up
to me and, goes great show, TODAY i immediately GO
(01:51:23):
i am never listening to any of your feedback, again
because that show sucked and you somehow either thought it
was still.
Speaker 4 (01:51:29):
Good or want to lie to my.
Speaker 1 (01:51:30):
Face if you walk out a cracker barrel and it
zips you back and you're, like that was the best
BREAKFAST i have ever had in my. Life you haven't
had a good. Breakfast your grandma not cooked for?
Speaker 2 (01:51:42):
You it was going on peopose grandma's are, Dead.
Speaker 4 (01:51:45):
Sean does your mom not cook for?
Speaker 10 (01:51:47):
You some people's moms are, Dead, Sean you should.
Speaker 1 (01:51:50):
Do does your partner not cook for? You cook for,
yourself make something.
Speaker 2 (01:51:56):
GOOD i don't.
Speaker 3 (01:51:57):
KNOW i was always known like knowing cracker barrel as
we stopped by because someone had to pee and we were.
Speaker 2 (01:52:05):
Hungry i've never known people to frequent it like they
do as much on the.
Speaker 4 (01:52:12):
Weekends mostly on the.
Speaker 3 (01:52:13):
Weekends but you have to take a highway and get
off a particular exit that has No that's.
Speaker 1 (01:52:19):
Okay but that's also where the population centers. Are they're
around those the population of the cities that you're going.
To that's why the exits exist to begin. With. Right it's,
like just because a restaurant exists next to an exit
on a an interstate doesn't mean that all of the
(01:52:40):
people that go there are.
Speaker 3 (01:52:41):
TOURISTS i understand, that but a MAJORITY i. IMAGINE i,
mean if you have, BILLBOARDS.
Speaker 1 (01:52:46):
I wouldn't even say.
Speaker 2 (01:52:48):
This is on. Exit blah blah. Blah that's. Good it
brings me.
Speaker 1 (01:52:53):
Business but your most of your business is going to
be the people that live around you.
Speaker 2 (01:52:57):
Still as they can go to or fifty to fifty or.
Speaker 1 (01:53:00):
Something but you're gonna have some makeup of people who
just live around there and they go to The Cracker
bear On sunday and then they go they're making the
green beans in the. Oven NOW i can't put up with.
THIS i can't deal with this. ANYMORE i Just i'm
saying it makes me judge you a little. BIT i
don't want to do, that but it. Does let's get
into this here we, go let's do jury. Duty court
(01:53:23):
is now in, session so put your phone down and
pay attention.
Speaker 10 (01:53:26):
Before we call the bailiff over to with your.
Speaker 1 (01:53:28):
Ass you're knowing jury duty with the News. Junkie jury
duty brought to you by the, one the only mode
wit of The DeWitt Law. Firm injured on the, go
just call. Mo he's the best of the. Best did
you see how many bikes he brought?
Speaker 2 (01:53:43):
Yesterday was.
Speaker 1 (01:53:43):
Unbelievable this guy, three he does huge things like, that donates,
many many more than three. BIKES i don't remember how

and maybe even that assistant that he was involved.
Speaker 4 (01:58:09):
In all those, folks all, right when.
Speaker 1 (01:58:11):
We come, back we'll talk about the Time person of The.
Year more, importantly a father is speaking out his eighteen
year old son was arrested for. Something i'm gonna play
for you what his son.
Speaker 4 (01:58:22):
Did that got him.
Speaker 1 (01:58:23):
Arrested AND i think we're gonna have an interesting conversation
and the breakdown of whether or not people think the
son should be arrested for this will be illuminating to.
You All, right we'll talk about what happened here and
the father that's stepping up for his eighteen year old
son that's coming up. Next and then to use junkie
(01:58:57):
old man yells at cloud is not What i'm trying
to channel, here trying to tell you that the person
of the year usually. Sucks they've run out of people
of the, year so they just do like they did this,
year like the architects Of ai two years late ON
ai the BIG ai flip, over why are you doing this?
Now this is dumb what they do every.
Speaker 2 (01:59:19):
Year, now it's going to keep it the zine, Going,
sean but they. Don't that's the.
Speaker 1 (01:59:24):
Thing who that was buying magazines anymore specifically THIS.
Speaker 3 (01:59:27):
AI i guess we'll just show THE ai, grandchildren all.
Speaker 1 (01:59:32):
The people who are really really INTO ai but also into.
Magazines that's the that's the ven diagram that they've really
landed on. Here they're true of. Them, yeah that's not
going to be, FRUITFUL i don't. Think but, okay we'll.
See we'll get into that a little bit further here
in a. BIT i did want to talk about this
BECAUSE i see the conversation everywhere and it's worth having
(01:59:53):
a chat. About but there's been more discussion about the
ladies Of hollywood when more and more of them come
forward and you, go, geez you, know you look like
you're way too. Thin Kelly osborne is the, latest and
there's been other people and they will, go, hey your
body shaming, here and it's, LIKE i DON'T i don't
(02:00:13):
know that this is body. SHAMING i think that there
should be some sort of warning that people consider out,
there all, Right and the warning THAT i would put
out there for younger people or anybody really is that
not everybody looks their best when they're super. Skinny they've
seen one of these people that loses too much weight
(02:00:36):
and you, go, actually you look a little better with
just a couple more.
Speaker 10 (02:00:39):
On, yeah have you seen Jelly roll?
Speaker 2 (02:00:41):
Lately it's.
Speaker 4 (02:00:42):
Weird he looks weird as.
Speaker 2 (02:00:44):
Hell he looks. WEIRD i probably don't, care.
Speaker 4 (02:00:49):
Probably.
Speaker 1 (02:00:51):
But there's people who go to skinny and you, go,
actually everybody's body is a little bit, different and you
would look optimal for you, know most, people maybe, yourself
even if you had a little more, on you're starving
yourself too. Much And Kelly osbourne has that, look and
it's like this look that you see floating Around hollywood
(02:01:13):
a lot where it's like.
Speaker 4 (02:01:14):
A lot of thok's a big and no.
Speaker 3 (02:01:17):
Fitness the thing, is, though she's been this skinny for a,
while BUT i think that since the death of her,
father a lot more pictures are coming. Out, yeah and
folks ARE i guess more on the mainstream seeing her
and how much weight that she's.
Speaker 2 (02:01:36):
Lost But i've gotta be.
Speaker 3 (02:01:37):
Honest and she alongside of what she said with maybe body,
shaming but the one LINE i SAW i was, like
you guys are comparing me to WHEN i was.
Speaker 2 (02:01:46):
Eighteen i'm forty one.
Speaker 1 (02:01:48):
Now, YEAH i, Mean i'm not comparing those. Two i'm
looking at her and then thinking, like why does this
person think that this is the optim a. Wave it's
because everybody else is telling you got to be, skinny,
right you gotta get on those z epic ands.
Speaker 4 (02:02:03):
It looks Like, Sharon, yeah she.
Speaker 2 (02:02:06):
Does she chlges.
Speaker 1 (02:02:07):
Her there's a there's A hollywood look that people land
on when they get a bunch of stuff done to their,
face when they get too, Skinny so you don't have
enough like fat to make you look healthy and alive and,
young you get Too skinny's a lot of the Like
munjarro's and all the different weight loss.
Speaker 3 (02:02:26):
Manifestos what was the film that what his face? Did
where you lost like eighty?
Speaker 1 (02:02:31):
Pounds oh, no, No Chritist Christian, Bail, yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:02:38):
Yeah The.
Speaker 4 (02:02:39):
Machinist that.
Speaker 2 (02:02:40):
One everyone's getting the machinists look, right it's a little too.
Speaker 1 (02:02:44):
Much it's like you look sunk in and you don't
look Like the idea is you could lose weight and get,
healthy but you gotta have fitness with. It nobody looks
good if They're if you just like lost all the
weight and then you're like a sunk in version of,
yourself you're supposed to also work.
Speaker 4 (02:03:02):
OUT i know that. Sucks it's more work for.
Speaker 1 (02:03:05):
Me IF i want to get into shape in twenty twenty,
six WHICH i, Do i'll just kick that can down
the road until next, year, right Now i'll just let
it go and go on a.
Speaker 2 (02:03:13):
CRUISE i believe.
Speaker 1 (02:03:14):
Me, Well i'm saying for right, now why change right?
NOW i got a cruise coming. Up i'm not going
to change anything. DRASTICALLY i just keep doing What i'm.
Doing but you gotta partner these things with something. Else
there's like this very unhealthy look that's making the rounds out.
Speaker 4 (02:03:30):
There And i'm sure you've seen.
Speaker 1 (02:03:33):
THIS i don't know if you've seen this, though because
this is a it started a bit of an argument.
