We assume that that will be kindof a bread and butter for this

a little bit, and this Chippafalls passing defense. They're only giving up

seventy six yards a game, Soif they do try to go to the
air a little bit, that's gonnabe interesting to see if Chipwa maybe can
try to turn this team over,even though North's played well in their air
games. Oh yeah, definitely.And another thing to note about McCracken too,
is he can run on the ground. His stats may not pop off
the page as he's like seven rushesand twenty two yards, but those twenty

two yards have been key in gameswhere he's been able to just get outside
of the pocket and scramble and findsome room out there on the field,
improvise maybe dumb luck sometimes, butdefinitely definitely improvisation is a big key in
that with McCracken, And honestly,they have a really great receiver room too,
three different players with almost one hundredyards over the in the air too.

And then you also have cam Olsonof course taking taking a lot of
pressure off of that offensive passing game, and we're seeing this offensive line start
to gain a little bit more ofhow do you say, kind of an
awareness of how what they need tobe doing, what their responsibility is.
Some hutzpah if you will, Yeah, exactly, so I think that's a
word that will work anyway, thatsounds like it. But but yeah,

that's certainly a big piece of this. Again for Chippawa, we know that
they can run a lot of differentlooks at out their atch as well,
and we'll see if that's the casehere tonight here between Chippewa and Eau Claire

statement tonight with a win, can'tbig. Yeah, And it feels like
the season just started to be honest, they're only three and one, but
man is it's pretty close to thehalfway point of the season. Yeah,

Claire North can really make a statementcure against a pretty big CHIPWA team and
a team that's been historically a prettygood team overall, like they were one
of the better teams in the conferencefor a bit. And you know from
these fans they travel well, youcan see over there right now. They've
got a full packed house over there, especially with the students section who are
all dressed in camo and orange rightnow for a hunting little celebration thing.

know I am not a hunter,but I do at least I guess keep
up on the news enough to know. I believe it's the start a bow

he's wearing the number zero jersey,standing next to number ten Peyton mccrack.

Mccracking rolling to his left throws itover top in complete looking for his
tight end, Brady Jentsen well covered. Really not a lot of guys open
downfield. There's that rollout against hisbody there over to the left side,
which oftentimes, I mean, ifyou're not really honed in and you have
some space, that's a hard throwto make. Oh yeah, And you
would have liked to see him maybetry and take off there. However,

the Huskies at three and one onthe season. Chipwood does not have
a conference win yet, they're oneand three overall, and just like that,
Dan again reading the quarterback and imaginethis drive. North's gonna put the

ball on the ground a little bitearlier and a little more often. Oh
yeah, definitely, especially when youhave Cam Olson in the back there and
the thing is you have to makesure that you're not doing exactly what McCracken
did there. It's to say,nothing like a simple way there. However,
he kind of opened it up ashere's a chance i'll cut you off.

yard line up to the forty four. He got a little lane over there
on the far sideline, didn't reallyhave to do much, kind of opened

It really didn't even look like Solbergwas running that fast, to be honest,
he kind of I've seen him runway faster down the field. Yeah
again, big lanes. I thinkhe was trying to look for that final
lane, that final cutback spot justnever really matriculated for him. But a
forty four yard line here for North, that's whether the start off. The
two receivers left, one right onthe far hash right to let they go
again. They'll send a man inmotion here on and a pitch that should

by McCracken to T. J.Johnson. The pass went forward. I

Yeah. You can tell Dan thatthere's some early jitters here. I
think there's a little bit of this. One of the things we didn't talk
too much about in the pregame show. Here is of course Matt McGinnis and
a second season coaching for North isthe man who is coming off the field
here for the Huskies is Ethan Knutson. And the lineman who is being helped
off hopefully he is all right,not putting any weight on that left foot.

But one of the cool storylines heretoday's Matt McGinnis in a second season
coaching for the Huskies. His firstcoaching job was as an assistant on the
freshman team core chipwa about ten yearsago. Then he started coaching the freshman
team head coach. So him andRaikovich obviously have kind of a fun relationship
there that like each other obviously,And now Matt McGinnis is the pupil has
become or the student has become maybethe teacher at least that's what he's hoping

for here is there's a hand offto camp Olson breaks the initial tackle,
but then gang tackled by a hostof Cardinals. This will be a loss
of one back to the forty threeyard line. There they got some early
penetration and then the rest of theCardinals defense, including Brett Krista and others
come in to make the stop.Really great read there by Trevor Dombrowski of
Shai Hi blew up that play beforeit could even really start to go,

and even with cam Olson breaking thetackle, he did enough to just stunt
the play and now cause Oaklare Northto have to try and make it a

good sign certainly there for the Huskies. Matic Skirts is the man back to

the back judge. And I doubtthat this is a delay a game that

Chipwa and Guyton Patro who is headingoff. And sure enough there is a
penalty coming up on Chip But Idon't think this will change the decision Dan,
but still makes it a little bitchance of a better field position if
you're North. Yeah, and especiallywith how this defense runs, if we
haven't even seen the it's already sevennothing. We haven't even seen the Oh
Claire North defense come out, comeout and play. So anything to kind

of back up this Chai high offenseas much as possible, it would be
great. Once again, Gert's backto kick returning here as Carter Bovy and
a little bit of a high snap. It's an end over end kick to
the near side. He won't beable to initially field this one, has
to go all the way back tothe nine yard line before he scoops it
up on a couple of bounces.Now he moves between the hash marks,

trying to run east to west tothe far side of the field of the
twenty for the twenty five, lookingfor a hold of the thirty down the

we'll get a late hit or whatthe case is, but they're gonna mark

middle. And it's second and nineand LeMay is like their main form of

to see how North has gonna limitthem as this game goes on. Once

again, Chipoy here with Mason vonHayden. He'll give the hand up.
No, he'll fake it, rollout to his right, looking downfield.
They got a couple options. He'llgo to the underman catch made at the
thirty seven yard line, across theforty up to the forty four yard line,
and that was a good little decisionthere. He wanted a man downfield.
Insteady goes to Jaalen Smith and that'senough for a first down up to
the forty four on a gain offourteen yards. And Von Hayden's the type

of guy that wants to go andthrow that deep pass. He already has
two interceptions on the season, buthe chose the smarter option. They're dumping
that off to Jaalen Smith and someearly movement on the line. No call.
They're gonna bounce this one out herewith Jackson LeMay on the edge and
he is wrapped up for a loss. That'll be a loss back to the
forty three and now they're gonna givehim the line of scrimmage initially there.

But what a nice job getting outon the play there by a couple of
different Huskies. Taylor Frederick along withGarrett Staffel were there. And it's a
stop in second and ten. AndTaylor Frederick one of the main guys on
this defense. They're middle linebacker andtheir defensive just coach on the field.
That's what they always say about themiddle linebacker, and Taylor Frederick really embodies
that. Second and ten now fromtheir own forty four here, for Chip

was seven and up in Cardinals withthe lead over North and again early on
here first quarter, eight eighteen leftto play it in the clock, running
second and ten from their own fortyfour, you have Mason von Hayden and
the shotgun. Two receivers left,two right. He'll send his back to
the left side now of the formation. That's Preston Elder who's come into the
game, fakes a handoff to him, looks to throw a left side wide
open catch at the fifty and dancingdown the sideline is once again Jaylen Smith

making another catch for a big firstdown, big yardage here down to the
forty three of the Huskies. JaylenSmith. I feel like we're gonna be
calling his name a bit for wheneverthey move away from LeMay here, which
they have been now, it's alwaysgonna be Jalen Smith because he's always that
really quick guy that can just fitin those small corners in the defense.
Yeah, Jalen Smith, a slotreceiver five eleven hundred and sixty pounds,

has twelve receptions for eighty eight yardscoming into the game. Also runs some
end a rounds for them, sohe's got some speed as well. Now
they'll send a man in motion JacksonBowland from right to left that gives up
the middle here to le May andhe is wrapped up for a one maybe
two yard game as a nice tackleright up the gut there by Newah Penneger
and it will be second and nineand just great recognition by the linebackers there.

In general, they really have beenhitting their angles. The defensive passing.
The defensive pass defense is not reallybeen up to snuff that we've seen
for oh Claire North, but reallythe linebackers have been holding them in this
game, not letting Jackson Lamay getany really big rushes here. Yeah,
US defense has been pretty good sofar in LeMay again, he comes into

the game averages about five and ahalf yards or carry, two hundred and
forty one yards, two touchdowns aswell, really good athletic back and now
pitch here trying to get it onthe end around to bowling bowling with some
space of the thirty five, dancingon the sideline. He steps out of
bounds, but he's got the firstdown. They'll mark him out at the
thirty. It's a game of twelveon the play in a first down here

for Chip week. And I wantto give a shout out here to Lamy.
I know I just talked about him, but he said a really good
block to really seal up that end, kind of just nailing Penneger and keeping
him sealed in from allowing him tolike stop it, because if Penneger would
have cutting around there, it wouldhave been just like a maybe a one
yard maybe two yard game. Butinstead it turns into twelve. Just based

on that one block. Again,it is a seven nothing laid here for
Chai Hi. They gotta pick sixto start this game on the first series
for Oa Claire North after on thethird play on a third down play in
fact put him up seven or nothing. Now they have their first offensive drive
of the game. They're moving theball well facing end around. It'll be
Jackson lane up the middle. Itgets a couple up to the twenty six

yard line. Tackled on the playup the middle there by Rashaan Putnick.
It will be a gain of aboutfour and second and six. Now for
Chipo, it just seems like there'sno energy in this defense right now.
They need the Guinness to kind ofpump them up a little bit more.
It just seems like they're kind ofjust slogging about and just taking whatever the
offense is going to do to them. They really need to get out there

and set a just up standard andmake sure they stick with us the rest
of the game. To your pointthere, Dan, I think it's one
of those where it seems like it'sjust one guy making tackles, right.
No one else is really hawking tothe ball. Right now for the Huskies,
are just kind of letting the firstguy hopefully make the play, looking
to roll right now passing a lap. This a deep shot or the end
zone incomplete. Pretty good coverage downfield by Maddox Girts on that far side.

The deep shot taken was for SamHebert. It was not there.
Third and six now, good goodsay, good n play design, but
ended up being an incompletion in theend zone. Yeah, that was a
great play design. They got theone on one matchup there. They just
couldn't really get that ball in there. Von Hayden had a nice idea trying
to put it where the only thereceiver could get it. But just a

great job by Girts to get inthere and break up the play. Get
in there and just block the visionof the ride receiver. Send a man
in motion. That's Bowling on theend around again, North trying to get
some penetration, trying to get aroundthe edgy Canton bowling. We'll get out

mark him out at the eighteen yardline. That's an eight yard gain on
third and six and a first down. Boy North was close to containing that

one, but a good edge blockout there by Eberra again I believe it
was, and that is a firstdown. And yeah, chi Hi has
just been taking them all around theoutsides of the linemen there. They're getting
some great blocks and honestly, theydon't need much. They have some fast
skill players here that can really takeit the top off of the defense in
the red zone. Seven nothing Chippawoodthe lead and the ball they will fake.

The give to LeMay rolling to hisright downfield, over thrown there by
Von Hayden. He had a man, I mean, wasn't terribly wide open,
was Jalen Smith, but should havebeen able to make that completion.
Just maybe the throw on the runthrough off his timing and he ends up
airmailing the Yeah, he kind oftook a weird step when he threw that
and especially just released at a bithigh. It just didn't look like a

Knocking on the doorstep here Von Haydenin the shotgun on the far hash one

to right, they gave us toLamy countering up the middle, nothing doing

once again and again the defensive line, which is pretty big for this North
team, and Rayshawn Putnick again makingthat stop after a gain of one maybe
two, and this is gonna bringup third and long here for Chipwa And
just yeah, as you've said aboutthis defensive line, I can never stop
talking about them because it always seemslike one of them is making a play
out there, whether it's filling upa hole or getting in and blowing up

a play, especially with these greatlinebackers. To take some pressure on them,
take some pressure off of them.Just a great set up here for
them. Different look here for vonHayden. He puts Leamy out as a
receiver in the slot to the right. Three receiver set out there North,
chasing after throw down field and completegreat defense downfield on the coverage. Reagan
Creutz was here. He got tothe receiver right as the ball was getting

their perfect timing the pass antennant forJalen Smith incomplete fourth down the Cardinals and
here we go. We're gonna seethis kicking team. I was watching them
all throughout their warm ups and theywere nailing some deep ones too with Chai

seen in the past from these guys. They're calm and collected and they can

be able to find those pockets inthe defense cracking in the shotgun. He

that's what he did. And maybeeven if they're getting really creative and really
desperate towards the end of the game, they could use him in some trick
play forms or fashions, trying toload them into a false sense of security
with some run plays, and maybetry and get a passing play out of
him too. Third and about twohere from the forty yard line, they'll

shift two tight ends, so theright side of the formation, one receiver
left, one right pistol formation,high snap. They'll get it to Olsen,
they'll try to bounce it out ona stiff arm and boy at his
top running out to the forty fiveyard line. That's a gain of five
on the play against a lesser runningback that might not have gotten the first
album. But cam Olson is noregular running back. No he is not.

He isn't all around back. AndI've been saying this all game.
He just can turn what seems tobe just a dead play, something that
seems like it shouldn't have even gottennearly as many yards into a five six
seven yard game. He's just aconsistent guy that you'd love to have on
any offense. Chip will playing thatthree four formation, three to three lineman
and then the four linebackers set tworeceiver, left, two right, ballinear

hash first and ten back to passes. McCracken looking right, there's nothing there,
has to step up in the pocket. He is hit and taken down
back near the forty one, maybethe forty two where they'll give him forward
progress. A good job to atleast get closer to the line of scrimmage.

the pocket collapsed really really quickly asKrista comes in on the sack. I

They can get whatever they want.Clean up the middle again, seventeen
nothing, chipwa eight minutes left togo here in the second quarter North with
the ball second and one from thetwenty nine yard line of the Cardinals,
they'll give it to Olson here onthe end a round on the right side
and running off right tackle. Ishould say he's got enough for the first
down up to the twenty six athree yard game, didn't get much,

but he got enough stopped or stoppedinside once again by Brett Christa, and
that's enough for a first down.And this is what we've been talking about,
pet. You don't need to geteverything right back right away. You
don't need to do a fifty yardpass and suddenly you're back in the game.
Just slow, small drives that areeffective enough to keep the clock going
and just keep the yard's churning here, especially with like getting cam Olsen in

on those smaller run plays or gettingsomething tricky out there like they have been
with Shipman. Two receivers go tothe left, one of the right,
