Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is a special presentation of iHeartMedia Sports on Moose
Country one O six point seven.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
It's time for high school football right here on Moose
Country one O six point seven FM, Moose one O
six dot com and iHeartRadio. We're in Spring Valley tonight
and we've got a good one for you here between
Boyceville and Spring Valley. My name is Noah Schwartz alongside
Dan Zones, and we're very happy to be bringing you
here this one, of course, Spring Valley. Let's start with
(00:31):
Boyceville on the road. Boyceville, they come in undefeated at
five and zero, ranked number four in the state, and
they've outscored their opponents so far this season by a
score of two hundred and forty five to just fourteen.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
Dan.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
That's what they call good, right.
Speaker 4 (00:47):
I'd say that's a good definition of good right there.
If not, if not successful right there, this team has
been one of the more interesting teams will be watching
most of the season.
Speaker 5 (00:59):
I mean, for boys fail.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
You have a guy in Carson Romhild who has absolutely
taken the dun Saint Croix by storm, and I means
and yard, sixteen touchdowns, zero interception, two hundred and twenty
passer rating. When you have a guy that's the lifeblood
of your offense like that, that can really make some plays,
that can go out and can really get yourself a
first time get yourself a touchdown on any given play
(01:23):
when you really need it. That's what really defines this
boys bail team, having those kind of playmates, especially like
Carson out there absolutely.
Speaker 2 (01:31):
Meanwhile, talking about Spring Valley, this is a very interesting team.
Of course, started off zero to two after going nine
to zero last season, lost most if not all, of
their starters, but they've rattled off four in a row
to give themselves a four and two record. They're coming
in on a hot streak. It's their homecoming night tonight
here at home in the Valley, and they've certainly got
(01:51):
their work cut out for them.
Speaker 4 (01:53):
They do. But they also have a pretty talented team
themselves there too, with Winger and Asher Turner behind them.
Asher Winger is one of the better quarterbacks out there,
especially in the Dun Saint Croix, Asher Turner being the
best running back in the Dun Saint Croix. And it's
not even close right now. I mean eight and eighty
seven rushing yards, eight touchdowns, so zero fumbles. I mean
(02:14):
at least half the players out here had at least
one fumble. With the amount of touchdowns, that amount of
rush yards, that amount of rushing in general. To have
a to have a team like that, that's a great
success to have.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
Let's send it down to the field. Now for the
scene fear of our national anthem? Here from Spring Valley?
Speaker 6 (02:41):
Say can you see by the.
Speaker 7 (02:45):
Dunes, lie whats so broadly.
Speaker 6 (02:55):
The twy like squeen whose broad stripes and bright stars
throw the pair.
Speaker 8 (03:08):
Spit or the red parts.
Speaker 6 (03:12):
We watched were so gallantly stream.
Speaker 7 (03:20):
And the rockets roun thebbos bursting gave proof through land.
Speaker 6 (03:34):
That our flag was still bare. All say, does that
star spangle.
Speaker 7 (03:45):
Banian or the land of the Breeze and the Lover?
Speaker 2 (04:02):
And with that Dan, we are ready for football. It's
homecoming night. It's a beautiful evening here in the Chippewa
Valley and western Wisconsin. Seventy nine degrees, very few clouds
in the sky. You're you excited for this one?
Speaker 4 (04:16):
I'm always excited for some great football, especially here on
a Friday night in the valley. It's a beautiful night
out for some football. It's a nice cool. Not really.
It was a little bit warmer up, but it's really
cooled off. Aton.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
It's cooled off. It's become more temperate. I've even got
the hoodie on, but that's just more of a professional.
Speaker 4 (04:33):
I got the all black T shirt on the khakis.
I'm doing my own professional thing here tonight.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Absolutely, and that brings us nicely into the uniform matchup
here for these two teams. First, for Spring Valley at home,
it's the white helmets with the cardinals on the side,
the red jerseys with the white numbers, and the black
pants for Spring Valley. Meanwhile, for Boyceville it'll be the
purple helmets with a stars and stripe logo on these sides,
white jerseys and purple numbers, and purple pants here for Boyceville.
(05:02):
As we get started, mister reminder, the Snow Sports and
Dan son Don Hello, you're listening to high school football
right here on Moose Country one oh six point seven
f m W A T H shit tech Oh Claire
will Falls Menominee on iHeartRadio station Spring Valley kicking off
from left to right here as the kick is away
(05:25):
back to return, it looks like that as Carson Rome hill.
He will let that one go out of bounds about
the five, So Boyceville will start the opening drive with
good field position after that kickoff out of bounds.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
And I talked about roll a little bit, but honestly,
there's a lot of playmakers on this boyce ball team.
As they're about to start offense here for them, Zach
Hellen drunk three in or nineteen rushing yards at six
point eight yards. For Kerry, he's second in the dun
Saint Croix in rushing yards total, but he also has
eight rushing touchdowns. And we talked about it a little
bit last time we saw him. He tends to be
that big bowl cow of a running back. He can
(05:57):
absolutely run over the best of them, and then when
you think he's done running, he's gonna keep trying to
drag you for more and more yards. But not only that,
they have some great receivers out there too, and Landon
Leslie Owen, Ry Dell, Jakobe Kirshner, all of them having
over two hundred yards.
Speaker 8 (06:12):
The Cardinals rekick after it.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
Looks like it looks like Boyceville has elected to have
Spring Valley rekick after a five yard penalty rather than
try and figure out where that ball will go. So
you know, we get another chance at the opening kickoff
and we'll forget that one happened.
Speaker 4 (06:31):
And they've got a couple of dangerous kick returners back
there too. I remember Roam Hill, he took a ninety
yard touchdown back when he was playing against Glenwood City
a few weeks back. That was a touchdown that really
kicked open the game for Boyceville and they never turned
back since. These kick returns can really be game changers
and can really steer the momentum here aside, and I
(06:51):
think I think Boyceville thinks they can get an even
bigger kick than the start that they were gonna get
when the ball went out of bound. So I mean,
this could really play in their play towards their benefit.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
The game is already in the thick of it and
we haven't even started the game. I love football, Gotta
love It looks like Spring Valley will be kicking off
from the left hash as they see it the far hatches.
We see it here from the sideline. As it looks
like their kicker is, it looks like it's Isaac Canning.
Canning the junior offensive linemen and linebacker has been handling
(07:24):
the kicking duties all season long for the Cardinals, and
now they have backed up spring Valley that five yards
and now just a couple of minutes after that, we're
ready to go.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
And it could be a thing where they think maybe
that kicker ticks it out of bounds again.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Boysville's got three men deep to return at their own twenty.
Canning puts it in the air and it'll go to
Rome Hild on the far side. He fields it at
the twenty to the twenty five thirty. He's got a
whole forty midfield forty thirty twenty five twenty fifteen, ten
to five touchdown Boyceville. Wow, Carson Rome Hilton an eighty
(08:06):
yard touchdown on the first play of the game. What
haven't we seen this guy do?
Speaker 4 (08:11):
I mean? He is all over the place offense, defense,
special teams. This is his second kick return for a
touchdown just this season alone. This is a very special
player to watch out there for Boyceville.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
That's just the second one we've seen too. He is
an unbelievable talent. Of course, their starting quarterback doesn't even
need to take the snap to have an impact on
the scoreboard. As it is now seven to eleven, forty
six into this game here in the first.
Speaker 4 (08:37):
Quarter, fourteen seconds, only fourteen seconds off the clock, and
it's already a seven to nothing lead for Boyceville.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
Looks like Boyceville is uh. Looks like they're gonna go
for just the point after their kicker, Thomas Vittelli is
out there and a little bit of a late substitution,
trying to make sure that they've got eleven out there.
And you know, when you have a quick situation like
that kickoff return touchdown, you got to make sure you
got the right unit out.
Speaker 5 (09:02):
Tends to be a scramble to get everyone out too.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
So it's six nothing. Vitelli trying to make it a
seven point lead for Boys Phil. The snap is holed,
the snap is good, the kick is up, and it
is up and through seven nothing Boys Phil. Before we're
even really started. We'll step aside. We'll be back with
the next drive right after this. You're on your home
for high school football.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
This is Friday Night lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.
Speaker 9 (09:29):
For the last fifteen years, Affordable Dentures in Eau Claire
has helped over fifteen thousand patients seek a better life,
a life free to smile easily and without embarrassment, a
life free from the negative health effects associated with infective teeth.
Each year we help hundreds of patients freeing themselves from
the physical and mental trauma of a life limited by
poor oral health.
Speaker 5 (09:50):
If you are.
Speaker 9 (09:51):
Ready to move beyond the days of hiding your smile,
called affordable Dentures for a free consultation seven.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
One five eight five five one zero two zero.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
It's your home for high school football, Moose Country one
oh six point seven.
Speaker 2 (10:05):
Welcome back, well who else? Carson Romehild with a opening
kickoff return for a touchdown for Boysville puts them up
seven to nothing over Spring Valley here from the valley
as we get underway in the first quarter. So Spring
Valley will have their own chance here on offense as
boys Fil ready to kick off from right to left.
Speaker 4 (10:24):
And that marks the twentieth total touchdown for Carson rome
Hill this season alone. And we still have a couple
more games to play after this one.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
The numbers man, they are mind bogging as we get
ready to go in this one. Just a reminder, eleven
forty six left to go in this first quarter as
the Boysville kickoff unit breaks the huddle, looks like kicking
off for Boyceville it will be Zachary Helen Drunk. As
Helen Drung also the main running back for the Bulldogs.
(10:53):
He sends that one high and deep in the middle
of the field, fielded about the five, and it looks
like that's looks like that Sam Schmitt Schmitt along the
far side up past the thirty to the thirty five
and nearly to the forty before he's out of bounds.
Not quite a touchdown, but still a heck of a return.
A little bit good field position here for these Spring
Valley Cardinals on their first drive.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
And especially taking against a taking on a defense like
this that has only allowed fourteen total points on the season.
You want to give your you want to give your
offense enough time, enough space, especially giving him getting up
to about the forties, maybe around they're marketing closer towards
the thirty seven, if not the thirty six. Just a
great starting field position for the Cardinals. And you really
need to get another touchdown here on the board to
(11:36):
really match that energy here by Boyce Bail, they're.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
Moving from left to right. We'll call it first and
ten right from the thirty seven Here eleven thirty eight
left to go. Mason Winger the quarterback, he's in the shotgun.
Three wide receivers on the near side. Now, two men
go in motion. That't Spunter and Schmidt for Spring Valley.
One back in the backfield. That's their star Asher Turner
(11:58):
and whistles ahead of the snap here with Hog in motion.
Speaker 8 (12:02):
Time out.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
Take a time out for Spring Valley. And that gives
us a chance to talk about this Cardinal offense here,
really this whole Cardinal team. Of course, we talked about
it nine to zero last season. Great season for Spring Valley,
but they lost nearly every starter on both sides of
the ball. Started off poer and two with a younger group,
but they've rattled off four straight wins. Looked very confident doing.
(12:26):
So what are you looking for out of the Cardinals tonight?
Speaker 4 (12:30):
Yeah, And that's the thing too, to go off what
you were just saying. I mean, it's hard for any
team to lose all of their starters and some of
their bench players and then have to come back with
a fresh new squad. Only a few of these players
had gotten some snaps the year before. Ash returner one
of them. He's looking like he's been not only the
best running back in the Dun Saint Croix, but one
of the best all purpose yards players, in fact leading
(12:52):
the Dun Saint Croix all purpose yards as well. He's
going to be a player to watch. But Mason Winger
is a sneaky athletic guy. He doesn't have a lot
of rush yards, but he can get outside the pocket.
He can make some really easy short passes.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Still first and ten from their own thirty seven yard
line for Spring Valley. Once again, they send Hug in motion.
This time it will be a fake handoff Winger back
to pass. He's gotta get out of the way, and
he can't. He is sacked by Zach Helen Drunk coming
around the edge and Helen Drung sends Spring Valley backwards.
(13:24):
That will be a loss of nearly ten is that
backs him up to about the twenty seven yard line,
makes it second and twenty.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
And that'll be the third sack for Zach Hellendrung on
the season two for that senior great running back but
also a great defensive lineman can really get into the backfield.
Great job by him, and great.
Speaker 5 (13:43):
Job by the pass rush and that's what we're talking about.
Speaker 4 (13:44):
You got to get that ball out quick. If you're
Spring Valley, you can't let this pass rush get home again.
Speaker 2 (13:49):
If officially a loss of nine second and nineteen, it'll
be a handoff for Asher Turner, and Turner tries to
get to about the thirty gain of two, but he
is sent backwards as soon as he gets there, gain
of two maybe less, and that brings up third and forever.
Speaker 4 (14:06):
And when we saw after Turner against Durand, I mean,
he was absolutely the life force of this offense, completely
pushing the pile forward, getting some big runs, getting some
great touchdowns. Timely, they didn't really, they didn't manage to
get the win against Durand. But they're gonna need some
more offensive force behind him. They can't just keep running
with Turner because boys fall seems already cued in on that.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
Ten minutes and twenty seconds left to go in this
first quarter, Boyceville leading Spring Valleys seven to nothing, is
the Cardinals come to the line, It's Winger in the
shotgun again, two wide receivers near side, Turner the loan
set back. Turner back to passing the shotgun, has to
evade the rush two guys after fires long down the
(14:46):
near side, just incomplete. Blake Bangston was trying to go
up for that one. He was covered like a blanket
by who else, Carson Romoli.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
At Leslie on that one.
Speaker 2 (15:00):
Yeah, they're going to say that that was Land and
Leslie eleven seventeen. Sometimes it's easy to mix those up.
Speaker 4 (15:05):
Oh yeah, especially with some of the numbers out here
looking very very close. And if you look on the
field right now, two of the punt returns landon Leslie
Barson Romeo. So great job there by the defense. This
is what we're talking about. This is why this team
is only given up fourteen points total this season. It's
gonna be a hard way to stop them if you
keep going backwards.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
So it will be a punt here for Spring Valley.
Winger will boot it away. It's a high one, not
very deep, coming toward the near sideline, bounces about the
forty five and rolls to about the thirty five where
it goes out of bounds. Leslie watches it man. So
that is where Boysville will take over. There's still ahead
seven enough.
Speaker 4 (15:43):
And just like that, I mean already a punt on
the first drive there from Spring valley and right away
off the bat a nine yard loss, and you're gonna
have to try to avoid those deep drops.
Speaker 5 (15:56):
Especially with this pass rush.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
Your offensive line is pretty good and they held strong
for the most part against Dran, but you're not going
to be able to have all the time in the
world to pass back there, especially when you got about
four or five players that have three sacks on the
season coming right at you. Boys.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
Phil's got it first and ten on their own thirty seven.
As they come to the line, it'll be Rome Hild
under center, two wide receivers toward the far side, and
the loan back in the backfield is Helen Drunk. As
we get to see Boyceville's offense for the first time
after rome Hild's kick return touchdown on the game's opening play,
Leslie goes in motion fakes the handoff to Rome to
(16:35):
Helen Drunk. Now, Romhild fires over the middle, just a
little bit too tall for Lexton Bennetts, who is right
at the midfield stripe.
Speaker 8 (16:43):
Second down complete.
Speaker 4 (16:44):
Yeah, and he had them right there too. He would
have probably gotten a nice little completion. But man, you
have to see that rocket of an arm from rome Hild.
There and you kind of taken off someone's head with
that thing. But a great, great opportunity there to maybe
get a first down, but now second down, maybe get
another running in here. Keep that ball moving, keep that
ball rolling forward, and take it a little by little,
(17:05):
because even though this is even though you just got
down the field on Spring Valley, this is still a
tough defense to play against. Nine.
Speaker 2 (17:13):
It'll be left to go in the first half. It'll
be second and ten and it will be a handoff
to Zach Helen Drum. As Helen Drung runs into the line,
gains looks like maybe only a yard, and this will
be unfamiliar territory here for Boysville, so it'll be third
and long, third and nine.
Speaker 4 (17:30):
And that's part of the issue with having an incompletion
on first down. You have one it's first down and
a first down second down to ten after that, and
then you run just one play and maybe get a
yard or two. That's not going to cut it. You
now have to try and find maybe a play action
play to take a draw the defensive linebackers eyes and
may you find something on that right side of the
(17:51):
field near the boundary line.
Speaker 2 (17:53):
Boysville leads seven to nothing. Over spring Valley. Just about
nine minutes to go on the first quarter. Rome Hilled
back to pass on third and nine, will have to
evade the pocket. Now he's gonna go back the other
way toward the near sideline. Makes a man miss fires
near sideline complete. That's Bradley Mays. Mays is gonna cut
it up bial trying to get to the forty five.
He's taken down at about the forty seven yard line
(18:15):
and uh in on the stop with Sam Schmid core
Spring Valley. That'll be a Boyceville first down.
Speaker 10 (18:21):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (18:21):
And if Sam Schmidt does not make that tackle there,
that could have gone for a touchdown. I mean, that
was a touchdown saving tackle right there. He had one
more blocker out in front. Just a great job there by.
Rome Hills dance around the pocket, wait for his receivers
to get open. He knew that someone could get opened
down the field, and it looked like he's maybe gonna
take a coverage sack there for a second. But he
dances outside the pocket, gets to his left side and
(18:42):
finds his receiver right at the marker.
Speaker 5 (18:45):
First down, Boyceville.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
Just about eight and a half minutes left in this
first quarter. It'll be first and ten Boycevil from the
Spring Valley forty six yard long, Carson Rome Hills in
the shotgun. Just one wide receiver, Oh no, excuse me,
he's under center. Two backs in the backfield. They hand
it this time to Tucker Linstrom as Lindstrom across the
forty five about the forty three yard line of Boys Phil.
(19:08):
That will make it second and manageable.
Speaker 4 (19:10):
Yeah, and lin Strum's another one of their running backs
that has gotten a lot of touches this year. So
far on the season, he's the second leading rusher of
that team, right in front of Andrew Ton, the sophomore
twenty five carries two or nine yards about eight point
four yards per carrying three total touchdowns. He's a good
second option to have, especially with Zach.
Speaker 5 (19:28):
Hellendron being your thunder in this situation.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Gain of four officially makes it second and six from
Boys pil right from the forty four yard line, Rome
Hill in the shotgun, two backs beside him. They'll pass
protect as he looks deep, throws deep far sideline in complete.
Great coverage that time by Sam Schmidt of Spring Valley
as he was looking toward Land and Leslie in about
the ten yard line. Sird down. Wow.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
I mean, what a great job to get his hand
right up in there and knock that clean out. That
looked like it could have been a good first down.
But again, that's why you need your defensive backs to
be sticky on those wide receivers. If you can't stay
on those wide receivers, it's gonna be a rough day
for your defense.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Block has stopped seven twenty eight left to go here
in the first quarter, Boyceville leads Spring Valleys seven to nothing.
It'll be third down, seven yards to go from Boyceville
there from the Spring Valley forty four yard long. Boyceville
comes to the line, Rome Hilt will be under center.
It'll be a wide receiver on the far side. Two
(20:32):
backs in the backfield here for Boyceville on third and seven,
fakes two handoffs. Does Rome Hilt now a little screen pass?
He's got a couple of blockers. Does Helen drunk? Helen drunk?
He's got the first down? And more is he's taken
down past the thirty throughout the twenty eight and a
late penalty flag down there on the hit. So we'll
have to see what the calla.
Speaker 4 (20:55):
It looked relatively clean to me on this end, but
I didn't get a full picture of it.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
We have to see the flag down just about five
yards from the sideline at about the thirty five yard line,
and our official tonight is UH talking it over. It
looks like it will be a folding call against Boyceville.
That'll back them up ten yards and uh, that'll make third.
(21:19):
It'll it'll make it third and even more difficult here
for the Boyceville Bulldogs.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
I know I said I didn't see a late hit there,
but I definitely didn't really see much of a hold
on that far end. I mean, maybe a little tug
of the jersey for the most part, but that was
some wide open space up ahead. That was a well
drawn out play that had netted some open green grass.
And now that's called back in. Suddenly a time out
for Boysvil.
Speaker 2 (21:45):
Third and six h P. The yardage is from the
spot of the foul, so it brings them back behind
the line to gain, and now a time out for
boys Bil will step aside. We'll be back right after this.
Seven oh six left to go, Boyceville, seven Spring Valley.
Nothing on your home for high school football.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
Welcome back, everybody. Seven oh six left to go. Boysville
leading Spring Valley by a score of seven and nothing.
No sports, and dan Zoon's alongside you. It'll be third
and six here for the Boysville Bulldogs.
Speaker 8 (22:59):
Third and four for the bulldoz excuse.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
Me, it'll be third and four. They have amended things.
Still says six on the scoreboard. But Boyceville will come
to the line and it looks like they're show and
run here is it'll be uh. It will be Rome
hild in the shotgun, but a bunch formation, no wide receivers,
still throwing deep. Oh, incomplete Likeston Bennett's had that one
(23:22):
in the red basket. But it'll bring up fourth and four. Dan,
what went wrong on that one?
Speaker 4 (23:27):
I mean he just kind of took his eye without
the ball that you could see, kind of concentrate more
on the defender than he did on seeing where the
football was. Had it right in his right there. It
was a perfect throw from Romhild, but just couldn't come
down with that one. And now you got a fourth
down four and it looks like they're gonna keep it
out there. And honestly, especially with how their offense has
been running, I think that's the right decision.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
Balls with the Spring Valley forty one yard line, I
think really at any level of football, not just high school,
this is four down territory. You're right, and so Boyceville
will lead leave them out there. Four wide receivers in
form the loan setback is hell and drung for Boysville.
Here with rome Hild in the shotgun, he's gonna keep
it himself. He makes a man miss, he's got the
(24:09):
first down and more up to the thirty five. Down
to the thirty is Carsil Rome Hill a little quarterback draw.
Speaker 4 (24:16):
And that's exactly what you want. You want to put
your best player out there and get them in space.
And that's exactly what they did. Offensive line work, their magic,
push the head forward, push the defensive line back, and
just let Rome Hild run free.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
Absolutely they needed four. They got eleven did Boysville. Now
they've got it first and ten at the spring Valley
thirty six, thirty six and counting left to go. Here
in the first quarter, Rome spring Valley, one wide receiver
toward the near sideline. That's Bradley Mays for Boysville. So
it will be Rome Hilled handing the ball off rather
(24:49):
to Tucker Lindstrom. And Lindstrom's got a full head of
steam gain of it looks like nine. That'll be a
gain of nine up to about the twenty one yard
line second in a year.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
And Linstrom's so shifting when it gets that ball in space.
I mean, he looked like he could have probably been
tackled for maybe only a gain of two or three,
but he just kept speeding right through. And he's that
lightning portion of that thunder and lightning with him and
Zach Hellendrong, and you saw it there.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
Second down and a yard inside of six minutes left
to go. Here in the opening quarter, boys Phil looking
to add to their seven to nothing lead, is it's
Rome Hill to under center, two backs in the backfield.
This time it will be a handoff to the man
you mentioned there, Helen Drunk, who's got the first down
and more drags the pile to about the ten yard line.
Will be another first down for Boysville.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
And I mean, that's just exactly what you need to
do there, Zach Callendrong. That's just a fun player to
watch out there. He's just a bowling ball the way
he just bounces off the players and keeps on rolling forward.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
Gets that pad level low.
Speaker 4 (25:50):
Yeah, he does. And if you are trying to tackle
him with your arms, you're gonna have a really bad
day because that's not going to bring him down and
he might just drag you along the way.
Speaker 2 (25:58):
Speaking of the tackle turner in on that stop running
back against running back is now it'll be first and
goal for or excuse me, first and ten from the
thirteen here for Boyceville. Rome Hild is under center, two
backs in the backfield. Fakes the handoff. Now, Romhild tries
to make a move, but he is that he will
go down. It's a big sack or Colin Bruner, and
(26:21):
that will back up Boyceville. Here is Spring Valley shows
that their defense can make a play too.
Speaker 4 (26:27):
Yeah, and he came untouched off that side as well.
I mean that was a great job by Brunner, but
also a great job by this Spring Valley coaching staff.
They have experienced. They went nine to zero last season,
and this defensive coach knows that this defense can get
back out there and can play at the level that
they were at before. And they've looked like it over
these last four games. Looked like it there too, four
(26:47):
and a half.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Minutes left to go in the opening frame, seven to nothing,
Boyceville is, it'll be second and fifteen now after stack
of Rome Hild he's under center, and this time he
will hand it to Helen Drunk. Helen Drum running inside,
tries to get forward. It's about a handful of yards there.
I think they're gonna spot them right back at the
original line of scrimmage.
Speaker 8 (27:08):
Through the bottom.
Speaker 4 (27:09):
Yeah, So I get to you right back to where
you just were and you're still inside of that twenty
yard line.
Speaker 5 (27:15):
Is another timeouts taken.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
Time out on the field for an injured Spring Valley Cardinal.
We'll step aside here. Four oh four left to go
in the first quarter, Boysville leading Spring Valley seven and nothing.
Here on your home for high school football.
Speaker 1 (27:29):

Speaker 2 (28:09):
Welcome back, everybody is we are still here in the
first quarter, four oh four left to go, Boyceville leading
Spring Valley by a score of seven and nothing. Noah
Schworts and Dan Zon's alongside you, and well we've got
a minute. Dan they mentioned here in Spring Valley they've
got barbecue ribs at the concession stand.
Speaker 4 (28:29):
I wish I could be down there right now. Yeah,
it sounds awesome.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Yeah no, that's you know, we talked a little bit
about Boyceville's concession stands when we were there last couple
of weeks. But man, you know, it's it's good to
see these communities, you know, really bring in some concession game.
That's that's part of the fun, right, food and family
and football.
Speaker 4 (28:50):
Right. You just mentioned all the three f's that I hit,
all the three f's that everyone loves.
Speaker 5 (28:55):
And that's the thing too.
Speaker 4 (28:57):
You just love to see when teams are just creative
with their menu, especially the concession stands.
Speaker 5 (29:02):
Much love to them.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
Will still be third and ten for Boyceville. Is the
Spring Valley cardinal who was injured, is able to make
his way to the sideline, hoping the best for him
because it'll be third and ten still from the thirteen
from Boyceville. Rome Hill will be in the shotgun, two
running backs beside him, three wide receivers, two of them
toward the far sideline. It's Rome Hill in the shotgun,
(29:27):
third and ten, back to pass, looking to his right.
Now he's going to try and move up. He's trying
to get through the pocket but he will not. He
is taken down and it looks like it'll be another
sack here from the Spring Valley.
Speaker 4 (29:43):
And a lot of these are just coverage sacks. For
the most part, there hasn't been the most amount of
pressure minus the Bruner sack earlier in the drive ten.
But for the most part, it's been a lot of
great defensive plays by these defensive backs out here, and
it's been they've been blanketing. We saw pass defense earlier,
and we've seen some struggles from Rome Hill trying to
(30:04):
get the football to some of his favorite receivers out there.
Speaker 2 (30:07):
Because it'll be fourth and ten, they're gonna go for it.
Here is Rome Hild really that time? I think you
can say the sack was his fault, as he just
kind of ran into the front of the line. Fourth
and ten from the thirteen. He's in the shotgun again,
four wide receivers, pressure coming. He steps up. Now he's
gonna go oh, he's he's held up. He throws to
the end zone and it's a sliding catch touchdown. Bradley mays,
(30:32):
I don't know how he got out of that one hold.
Speaker 4 (30:35):
What are you kidding me? He first of all, he
looked like he was about to take off running with
that thing, but stopped completely on a dime, set his
feet and threw a nice ball to a wide open
receiver in the end zone. Maze, great job and a
great throw there.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
Yeah, May's, to his credit, was open. I thought that
Rome Hild was dead to rights for the second play
in a row, but I he's like Hoodine, I.
Speaker 5 (31:00):
Swear the magic Man two forty five.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
Left to go here in the opening quarter as it's
Thomas Vittell, you out there for the point. After the
snap is good, the hold is good, and the kick
splits the uprights, and that will make it a fourteen
to nothing ballgame. Two forty five. What to go. We'll
be right back. You're on your home for high school
foot fourteen.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh

Speaker 13 (31:26):

Speaker 1 (31:57):
It's your home for high school football. Moose one oh
six point seven.
Speaker 2 (32:02):
Welcome back. Carson Rome Hild somehow evades a sack and
throws to Mae in the end zone, making it a
fourteen to nothing game. By fourteen to nothing lead for
Boyceville over Spring Valley to forty five left to go
here in the first quarter, as Boyceville gets ready to
kick it away from right to left, and.
Speaker 4 (32:21):
If you're Spring Valley, you really need to get something
on the board here, whether it's a touchdown, whether it's
a field goal, to really make yourself, get yourself really
back into scoring position to cut down this lead. That
was just an insane drive. Got to give credit to
the Spring Valley defense held him till fourth and ten,
almost stopped him right there.
Speaker 2 (32:38):
Mary's Helen Drung will kick it away for Boyceville. It's
a high kick, plenty deep. It's fielded about the seven.
Looks like that Sam Schmid making a move toward the
near sideline, tries to get upfield. She can't really get
much further. I think they'll call that the twenty five.
And that's still where this uh, where this Spring Valley
(32:59):
team is going to start things off.
Speaker 4 (33:01):
Yeah, and this has been a team to their offense
wasn't really able to get off too much here. I
would say give a lot of credit to their defense.
I really thought they were gonna get a stop there
on Boyceville, But this offense, it runs through Asher Turner,
and so far Boyceville's really keyed in on him. What
Spring Valley needs to do is find ways to get
their other playmakers involved.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
Mason Winger the quarterback, he's under center Turner, one of
the two backs in the backfield. He gets the handoff
on first and ten and it looks like he fights
forward for about a yard on an inside handoff. They'll
be second down.
Speaker 4 (33:33):
It's a great thing to have a really talented running back,
but it's also can have its curses too, especially when
you have no one that's really matt that has matched
that kind of productivity on.
Speaker 5 (33:43):
The team throughout most of the season.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
They'll be a gain of one second and nine, two
twelve and counting left to go in the first quarter.
Don't forget this Boyceville team has outscored opponents two hundred
and forty five to fourteen. And know that isn't a typo.
Their defense is allowed just eight of those fourteen points.
As it'll be Winger in the shotgun for spring Valley
fakes the handoff, he'll keep it himself, and he doesn't
(34:07):
do a whole lot better on second down, maybe a
yard if I had to guess third and eight.
Speaker 4 (34:12):
And what it what it's looking like to me is
the defensive line is just overpowering this offensive line. There's
been a few decent blots and a few good reads
by Winger and this uh and the running back and
Asher Turner. They just need to win some of those
battles on the in the trenches, and that's what is
going to really define this game, especially if they can't
get a running game going or can't hold enough long
(34:34):
enough to get a pass off.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
One twenty four and counting left to go in the quarter.
It'll be third and seven. Is it's officially a gain
of two for Mason Winger. Winger now in the shotgun,
four wide receivers for Spring Valley, and the loan running
back is Asher Turner trying to get boys filed to
jump flags ahead of the slam. Did they get them?
(34:56):
We'll have to wait on the call and it will
be a Croachmann boys piled. That'll be a five yard penalty.
And hey, that's a pretty big spring terms third and
seven to third and.
Speaker 4 (35:07):
Two, especially since you were only able to get a
couple of yards each one of those possessions. Now you
have a chance to really get this first down, get
a new set of downs, and suddenly you get a
renewed sense of confidence as well as as well as
that momentum. You can, or at least you can try
to get that momentum back down fourteen to nothing here,
it's got.
Speaker 2 (35:25):
To start somewhere here. For Spring Valley, they've looked at it,
especially on defense as they come to the line, same
formation for wide receivers and Turner alongside Winger in the shotgun. Winger,
we'll go back to pass looking for a quick out
to the near side. Got a man complete, that's Bruner,
and Brunner looks like he's gotten up out of bounds.
(35:47):
That's a Spring Valley first down.
Speaker 5 (35:50):
That should have been a penalty right there.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
You can hear.
Speaker 5 (35:53):
You can hear in the room next to.
Speaker 4 (35:54):
Us, but that definitely should have been a penalty there
on Spring Valley landon Leslie got absolutely taken out.
Speaker 5 (35:59):
But the ball was thrown.
Speaker 4 (36:01):
That should have been an offensive pass interference on that
pick play.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
Still, it is a first down for the Cardinals. They've
got it first intent at their own forty yard line,
thirty five seconds left to play in the first quarter,
or a Spring Valley winger will come in under center,
two backs behind them, two wide receivers, one on either side.
Once again, it'll be a first down hand off to
Asher Turner and he goes backwards, stopped a yard behind
(36:28):
the line. Second and long.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
Again. The hole is there for a split second, but
it's just not long enough for Ash return to really
make any kind of a move to get.
Speaker 5 (36:38):
Some extra yardage there.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
It's the linebackers are almost immediately filling that hole as
soon as it opens up, and you got to digive
the defensive line a lot of credit. They're rushing three,
rushing four, and they're able to get home on passing
downs and they've been able to stop the run almost entirely.
Aster Turner hasn't really gotten into a rhythm to start
at the night.
Speaker 2 (36:57):
Val will like to run another way before the quarter break.
That ends the core and after one frame it's fourteen
to nothing Boysville. We'll be right back with the rest
of the first half. Right after this. You're on your
home for high school football.

Speaker 2 (37:53):
Welcome back, everybody, fourteen to nothing boys Mill over Spring Valley.
As we get ready for the start this second quarter
here as snow sports here and dan Zon's there alongside
you in a great exhibition of high school football this
Friday night.
Speaker 5 (38:09):
I'd say so.
Speaker 4 (38:10):
Two teams that have had some multiple matchups in the past.
Great historical rivalry between these two teams. Both of them
were the top teams last season for the john Saint
Croix and are starting to look in our top teams
of this season as well too.
Speaker 8 (38:23):
Cardinals to start to quarter, it will.
Speaker 2 (38:26):
Be second and ten from their own forty yard line
here for Spring Valley Wingers in the shotgun, and he
will fake the handoff. He's back to pass. It'll be
a little screen pass out to Schmidt. Schmidt makes the reception,
gets to the line of scrimmage and Men's some looks
like it'll be a gain of six before he's taken
down out of bounds by Carson rome Hill.
Speaker 4 (38:46):
And that's just a great job by Schmid to just
run through a tackle. Could have been stopped for a
gain of one, maybe a loss of one there, but he.
Speaker 5 (38:52):
Just kept his legs moving.
Speaker 4 (38:54):
And that's what happens when you keep your legs moving,
you keep the potty, you keep the pile moving. That time,
there was no pile, was almost a single person tackle,
but still a great job there by Schmid to keep
the ball moving forward.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
Will be a gain of six, making it third and four.
Here the Cardinals have to get to midfield for a
new set of downs. It's Winger and the shotgun, three
wide receivers all toward the far side. It's a little
reverse to Turner, who looked like he was blocking, goes backwards,
loss of six, and it will be fourth and ten.
(39:27):
I would guess this situation.
Speaker 4 (39:30):
It is unless you're trying to get a trick playoff
here to just timey the bleeding here. That really wasn't
the play to go for there.
Speaker 5 (39:37):
They had much more.
Speaker 4 (39:38):
Success on those passing downs than they did on the
rushing downs. They just needed some quicker passes out there
instead of sitting back in the pocket.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
Will be fourth and nine officially, and it looks like
it will be a pun unit ear for spring Valley
wingers out there to kick it away. He'll be Leslie
and Romhill back to receive. Here for Boyceville with ten
thirty three and counting left to go in the second quarter,
I snap, but Winger gets it away tumbling kick end
over end. It is caught at about the twenty eight
(40:11):
I'd call it, And right there was the coverage Spring
Valley no return, and so it will be a first
intent here for Boysville.
Speaker 4 (40:22):
Yeah, and that was just a great special teams tackle,
open field special teams tackle by number forty four on
Spring Valley, Blake Benson, great wrap up and prompt down
immediately Landon Leslie's a big guy. He's hard to bring down.
So just to get that good wrap upon.
Speaker 5 (40:36):
Him to break not let him break away for a
punt return.
Speaker 4 (40:39):
Good job by them.
Speaker 2 (40:41):
Be first intend. They'll spot the ball at their own
thirty two yard line here for Boyceville as Rome Hilled
will come to the line under center, one wide receiver
towards the far sideline, two backs in the backfield behind
rome Hill here on first and ten, the man in motion,
but they hand it to Zach Helen drunk and hell
and drunk. Really not a whole lot doing there is
(41:04):
that Spring Valley defense. They were gaps sound over second
second down, and.
Speaker 4 (41:10):
That's what they've been really good at so far this game.
They haven't really allowed a lot of big time runs,
a lot of a decent amount of passing, but the
big time runs event held to a minimum here, and
that's kind of where Boysvil gets their bread and butter
from especially on the offensive end. Rome Hill's a great player,
but if you can get that run game going, it's
a hard team to stop. Boys Phil being second and eight,
(41:34):
it will be a fake handoff Rome Hild. He's back
to pass on the PA action throws near side, got
a man complete. That's May Mays all the way down
to the twenty five yard.
Speaker 2 (41:45):
Line before Huns pulled out of bounds. That's a big
gainer for Boysville. Sets them up nicely in Spring Valley territory.
Speaker 4 (41:53):
First down, beautiful, beautiful route run by May's there. Great
job by him to absolutely blow the blow the defense
out of the water. Right across the defense. One of
the defenders got lost in that backfield and he was
able to just squirt out and just absolutely find his spot.
Speaker 2 (42:12):
So now Boyceville will come to the line after the
big gainer. First and ten from the Spring Valley twenty four.
Rome Hilled is under center, two backs in the backfield,
one receiver on the near sideline. It'll be a handoff
once again to Helen Drunk. Helen Drunk with a full
head of steam, runs over him. Man looks like he's
gotten nearly enough for the first down. We'll see where
they market. It's gonna be mighty closest. That was at
(42:34):
about the fifteen yard line, and it looks like we'll
got a whistle or an injured Boyceville bulldog. We'll step
aside here with nine to eighteen left to go on
the second quarter, this.

Speaker 2 (46:37):
Welcome back the injured boys, PHL Bulldog able to make
his way to the sideline and we'll be back ready
here still it will be second and one here for
boys Phil they're already leading fourteen to nothing, nine minutes
and ten seconds left to go here in this second quarters,
Boysvil comes to the line second and one from the
Spring Valley fifteen. Rome Hill will be under center, two
(46:59):
waters receivers, one on either side, and two backs in
the backfield. It will be a handoff that goes to
Tucker Linstrom. Lenstrom stays on his feet, breaks a couple
of tackles and it looks like he is in Nope,
he is not. He is just short to about the
three yard line. That'll still be a big first down
here for Spring Valley, and he just wouldn't go down.
Speaker 4 (47:22):
I mean, that's a couple of different times. Now you've
seen Tucker Linstrom being able to fight through those tackles
and find that extra yard age and just a great
job there from the runner to get an extra couple
of yards there closer to the goal line, and suddenly
it's first and goal from the four.
Speaker 2 (47:36):
It'll be a first down for Boyceville. Excuse me on that,
because they lead fourteen to nothing about eight and a
half minutes to go here in the second quarter. As
Rome hilled under center, same formation as last time. You're
on first and goal. It'll be a handoff to Lindstrom again.
Lindstrom draws the flag. He stayed on and I'm not
(47:59):
sure if I see the signal touchdown. They're saying it's
a touchdown, and that is what I saw. But we'll
wait on the flag talking things over. No official signals
yet as uh. A face mask call on Spring Valley.
Speaker 4 (48:22):
And face mask penalty has been assessed to the Cardinals
on the touchdown.
Speaker 8 (48:26):
It will be assessed on the ensuing kickoff.
Speaker 2 (48:29):
It will be assessed on the kickoff. We're hearing. So
that makes it a twenty to nothing Boyceville lead on
the touchdown with eight thirteen left to go.
Speaker 4 (48:36):
Dan, Yeah, and I mean this is I honestly thought
this was gonna get called back for a second. But
now it's the great job there by Lindstrom to find
his way in for another touchdown.
Speaker 2 (48:45):
To tell you out there for the point after the
snap is good, the hold is good, and the kick
is up and through twenty one to nothing, eight thirteen
left to go in the first half.
Speaker 1 (48:58):
This is Friday night on Moose Country. One oh six
point seven.
Speaker 13 (49:03):
Did you drive down the road wishing you'd break an
axle on your trailer just so you have an excuse

Speaker 1 (49:34):
It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
O six point seven.
Speaker 2 (49:39):
Welcome back everybody, Boyceville leading Spring Valley twenty one to nothing,
eight thirteen left to go here in the first half
as the face mask penalty from the touchdown for Boys
Phil will be assessed on the kickoff, so it will
be Boys Phil kating from from I guess the Spring
Valley forty.
Speaker 5 (49:57):
Five and another backed up kick again.
Speaker 2 (50:02):
So this all the ball falls off the tea. We've
got everything going on. Back Helen Drum waiting and ready
to kick this one away. Two men back deep to
return here for Spring Valley. That Schmidt and Turner as
Helen Drunk will try and make this one a touchback
on a little bit shorter of a kickoff here for Boysville,
(50:23):
he thirteen left to go in the second quarter as
Helen Drunk kicks it deep and that one is going
to make it all the way to the pictures. Yeah,
first intend for Spring Valley at their own twenty yard.
Speaker 4 (50:37):
Lock nearly hit one of the camera people to back there,
actually almost came away with the catch there.
Speaker 5 (50:42):
For the photographer. It's a dangerous job, I tell you
that media business. I'm telling you.
Speaker 2 (50:49):
It'll be first and ten from their own twenty yard
line here for Spring Valley. There in a three score deficit,
but they've looked pretty good as uh, you know, you
get the sense that maybe they're running out of time
to make something happen, but they certainly are not as
far down as the scoreboard suggests. As it'll be first
(51:10):
and ten from the twenty winger under center, two wide receivers,
one on either side, and little miscommunication on that and
it'll be a singer for a winger. He gets a
game of about five second down.
Speaker 4 (51:24):
And that was a pretty good game there for a
play that was pretty much blown up from the start.
I mean immediately defensive lineman had his hand on him,
but somehow Winger was able to lean forward and got
pushed all the way for five yards.
Speaker 2 (51:39):
Gain of five makes it second and five. Here for
Spring Valley, Winger will be under center again. Two wide receivers,
this time both on the near sideline, as it'll be
a handoff to Turner and Turner is stuffed right at
the line. I don't even know if he got back
to it. That'll make it third and five.
Speaker 4 (51:59):
No game, No, THAT'SI that was a great job there
by Madison, absolute number, big number fifty on that defensive end,
cut right down the middle and absolutely swallowed up to Turner.
Didn't give him even a single chance as coach, making
sure his players watched the ball out there, having given
up a nearly given up a first down the last
(52:20):
time on that fall star penalty the third down.
Speaker 2 (52:24):
And five from the twenty five yard line. Here for
Spring Valley, Winger will be in the shotgun. Five wide receivers.
They're out in the spread here for the Cardinals, three
toward the far sideline. Winger all alone back there in
the empty set. He's got to get rid of it quickly,
and he does he's got a man complete as that
is Bankston, and Bankston's gonna be awful close to that
(52:45):
thirty yard line. We'll have to see where they spot him.
And it looks like it will be four, No, it
will be Spring Valley first down. Is Bankstrom got the
five he needed, Not sure if he.
Speaker 4 (52:58):
Got a whole lot more then, And those quick passes
are going to be the key to coming back into
this game. If you're Spring Valley. I like exactly what
they did there. They didn't give that pass rush enough
time to get in and get and duress Winger and
said they got it out to their skilled player, picked
up the necessary yardage and got that first down.
Speaker 2 (53:18):
First and ten now still from their own thirty five
yard line for Spring Valley, so they Winger under center again.
He'll hand the ball to Turner again. Turner makes a move.
He's got a gain of five and a little bit more,
probably six before he is taken down, and that'll make
it second and four as Spring Valley gets ahead of
(53:40):
the six.
Speaker 4 (53:40):
And that time, that was just a poor tackling job
by Boysville, but still a great job by Asher. Turner
getting his longest run of the game just on that
six yards if not seven yards there.
Speaker 5 (53:51):
Great job by him.
Speaker 2 (53:53):
Boyceville still leading twenty one to nothing, five to thirty
seven and counting left to go here the second quarter.
But Spring Valley is driving. They've got it. Second and
three from the forty two, winger under center, two backs
in the backfield. Once again, it goes to oh, it's
a fumble, a fumble and Boyceville recovers. Coming up with
(54:15):
that fumble recovery was Andrew tom the freshman for Boyceville.
Speaker 4 (54:20):
And Ton has been all over the place on offensive
defense right there, right there for that great force fumble.
Pop that thing out, and suddenly what looked like a
good start to the drive for Spring Valley suddenly became
Now Boyceville is in Spring Valley's territory just like completely
clips like that, and that's how strong this defense is.
Speaker 2 (54:42):
Great until it wasn't. And a little bit of a fumble,
I think on the transfer between Winger and Turner and
Boyceville takes over great field position first and ten from
the Spring Valley thirty four yard line. Already up three touchdowns,
and you know here in the in the second quarter,
another score could really put this one further out of
(55:04):
reach rome Hill to under center, fakes a pair of handoffs,
he's back to pass. He's under durest. Two now three
cardinals chasing after him. He's gonna run. He's got the
first down and more up past the twenty. Makes a
move and he's taken down about the seventeen yard line.
A big scramble for Carson Romhild, and that'll be another
(55:25):
Boyceville first down.
Speaker 4 (55:27):
And that's a great job there by rome Hill to
recognize that he didn't have anyone downfield.
Speaker 5 (55:32):
Instead kept his eyes downfield, but still tucked it.
Speaker 4 (55:35):
It looked like he was gonna try and pass it,
but drew the defense to the far left side, looked
for someone, couldn't find someone. Instead ran for that yards.
And that's just how dangerous that guy can be. Absolutely
have to watch out for any kind of any for
every facet of his game.
Speaker 2 (55:50):
Be first and ten from the nineteen yard line. Here
for Boyceville, they're in the red zone and they'll go
under center, will be rome Hild. It'll be a handoff
to Lindstrom, and Lindstrom fights forward gain of about five
bring up second.
Speaker 4 (56:07):
Down, and it's gonna be interesting to see if they
want to try and go for the running clock here,
which is about thirty five points, or if they're going
to try and maybe melk the clock on this order
and get it down to maybe one of the last
possessions before taking it in for a touchdown. Right now,
about four or fourteen left on the clock, still plenty
of time. But if you're running that football downfield and
(56:29):
downfield again, it's gonna take a lot.
Speaker 2 (56:31):
Of time off the clock keeping the ball on the
ground and keeping it in bounds. Good way to keep
that clock running is it'll be second and seven after
the gain of three here for Romhild and the Bulldogs
will be a handoff here to Land and Leslie and
Leslie able to fight forward for a gain of a
couple makes a third and medium here with about three
(56:53):
forty five to go.
Speaker 8 (56:54):
Curie and you.
Speaker 4 (56:55):
Don't hear his name called too often for one of
the running backs, but he's still been a productive member
of the backfield, even though he's mainly a wide receiver.
One hundred and eighteen yards on the ground, eight point
four yards for carrying a touchdown on the season so far.
Speaker 2 (57:07):
Third and five officially here from the sixteen yard line,
as actually no it looks like spotted at the fourteen.
They'll call it third and a long four on the
Pa Romhild. We'll go under center, two wide receivers and
two running backs, one on either side. Back to pass
(57:28):
his rom held fires fire side incomplete off the hands
of Bradley Bays. And you know he wanted that one.
Just took his eyes off it a little bit too soon,
except fourth and four o'clock stopped at three oh seven
to go in the second quarter.
Speaker 4 (57:42):
Yeah, and got a little bit too giddy there. I
was looking ahead at the defender, but didn't reelin that catch.
Speaker 5 (57:47):
And that's the thing.
Speaker 4 (57:49):
You can reel in that catch and go down for
maybe a one to two yard game, but you throw
you get that incompletion, it's.
Speaker 5 (57:54):
Gonna stop the clock.
Speaker 4 (57:55):
And you didn't gain anything right there. So now you
gotta think, what are you gonna do?
Speaker 8 (57:59):
Now?
Speaker 4 (58:00):
You're going to go for it now on fourth down
and five, right where you're at, you can also go
for a field goal here and it's still push you
up an extra score on this Spring Valley Cardinals team.
Speaker 2 (58:09):
Fourth and five from the fourteen here for Boyceville, and
now whistles and I'll expect time out here for Boysville
is their second of the first half, and we'll step
aside three zero seven eleven to go ahead of this
fourth down at your home for high school football.
Speaker 1 (58:27):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

It's your home for high school football. Moose Country one
oh six point seven.
Speaker 2 (59:07):
Welcome back, everybody. Three oh seven left to go here
in the second quarters Boyceville leading Spring Valley twenty one nothing.
They're driving, They've got a big fourth and five. Here
is Snoah Sports here and Dan Zoon's there alongside you
here for this one on Goose Country one oh six
point seven FM. And I are ready. You're ready to
(59:29):
go here fourth and five. Here the ball spotted runting
about the fourteen yard line and Boysville looking to put
this one further out of reach here in the Spring Valley.
Speaker 4 (59:43):
Yeah, and they've had some success early on in this one,
but just stalled out here at the end. Fourth and five.
Speaker 2 (59:49):
Now, fourth and five, it'll be roam Hilled in the shotgun.
Little looks like there's a little miscommunication nobody out wide
here Helen drung the loan back in the backfield for
Boyceville instead back to pass and rolling to his left.
Will be roam Hilled looking in zone, firing, and that
one is caught touchdown Boyceville. Leslie caught that one on
(01:00:12):
the back shoulder.
Speaker 4 (01:00:15):
I gotta say that was some great offensive blocking there,
just from that outside offensive tackle, I mean blocking without holding,
really trying to keep his man out in front, got
his arms extended to make sure and everything. But also
a roam hill that's just exactly what he's done all game.
One great throw, great catch, so Leslie had to adjust
(01:00:36):
to it. That makes it a twenty seven nothing game. Here,
a lead for Boysville over Spring Valley and Vitelli out
there to try for his fourth Pat of the night
here for the Bulldogs.
Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
The snap is good, the hold is down, the kick
is up and good, and that will make it an
even twenty eight nothing two fifty eight left over here
in the first half, Bob right back on your home.
Speaker 8 (01:01:03):
There's a school football play.
Speaker 1 (01:01:06):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh

Speaker 1 (01:01:41):
It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
oh six point seven.
Speaker 2 (01:01:46):
Welcome back, Noah Schwartz and Dan Zoon's alongside you as
Boyceville has taken a twenty eight point lead over Spring
Valley and two minutes and fifty eight seconds left to go.
Here the second quarter is Helen Drung. He'll kick once
again from the forty five yard line. Is after we
went to break, there was a roughing the kicker penalty
(01:02:08):
on Spring Valley. Obviously a little a little bit of
that frustration boiling over.
Speaker 5 (01:02:14):
Yeah, and it's really set back this Cardinals team too.
Speaker 2 (01:02:17):
Hell and Drung ready to kick it away expecting another
touchback here would be the second in a row. As
Helen Drung kicks that one deep and that one will
bounce at the back line of the end zone. Some
Spring Valley fans courteously return that will be first intend
Spring Valley here at their own twenty yard line.
Speaker 5 (01:02:38):
This time it dodged the camera person. Good looking out
for them there.
Speaker 2 (01:02:43):
Somebody picked it up right around where second base would
be in the baseball season. Good work on that grounder,
got it.
Speaker 4 (01:02:51):
Never too soon to start practicing for baseball.
Speaker 2 (01:02:55):
Never will be first and ten from their own twenty
here for Spring Valleys. In the shotgun will be their quarterback,
Mason Winger. Four wide receivers, two on either side, with
Asher Turner in the backfield. The Winger is going to
drop back to pass, evades a man, dumps it off
to Turner complete. Turner's got the first down and more
stiff arm up to the thirty five taken down nearly
(01:03:17):
to the forty. That'll be a big first down gain
of a lot for Asher Turner.
Speaker 4 (01:03:23):
And that's exactly what they needed, finally some life in
this offense, and it was getting your best skill player
out in out in wide open space. And that's what
Asher Turner thrives in, not those in between tackle runs,
but the space.
Speaker 2 (01:03:37):
Will be first and ten after the gain of twenty
Here for Spring Valley Winger in the shotgun, he's back
to pass, looking deep far sideline. He hangs this one
up in double coverage, but it's picked off by Rome Hill.
Rome Hill taking it back at the fifty forty five
forty one man to be thirty twenty five and he's
taken down at the twenty. Oh man, I love the
(01:04:02):
play call, but Rome Hill, the ballhawk, just came up
and stole that football. And what hasn't gone right for
Boysville to night.
Speaker 5 (01:04:11):
I mean, that was an incredible play there to high
point the ball by Rome Hild.
Speaker 4 (01:04:17):
There we go six interceptions on the season for him
to lead the dun Saint Croix. No one's even close,
no one else.
Speaker 5 (01:04:24):
It's literally three interceptions after that three it's.
Speaker 2 (01:04:28):
Like watching a Road to Glory playthrough. Unbelievable first and
ten and they'll spot it right back at the twenty
yard line of Spring Valley here for Boysville, and one
more touchdown could get us to a running clock before halftime.
Two eleven left to go here in the second quarter,
as Boyceville leading Spring Valley twenty eight to nothing, Rome
(01:04:51):
Hild will be under center again. One wide receiver on
the near side, two backs in the backfield, a couple
of tight ends. It's a quick toss to Helen. Helen
drung near side, finds a hole and gets down to
about the fifteen yard line. Looks like that will be
a gain of five second down.
Speaker 4 (01:05:09):
Even when it doesn't look like they've gained that many
yards on a run, it really is a lot more
because they pick up those extra yards the more and
more they push, and the more and more they'll twist
their body to try and gain some extra yards as
they are going a little bit quicker.
Speaker 2 (01:05:21):
Here, say hurried to the line here it will be
his second and six. After the game of four there
at the sixteen yard line. Back to pass is roam Hilled.
He's got a man complete. That's May's may Is. It's
a foot race to the goal line and he beats
him to the pie line. There. It is the touchdown
of the first half for Boys Fellas Bradley May's scampers
into the end zone and makes it right now a
(01:05:44):
thirty four to nothing lead with a minute thirty two
left to go in the half.
Speaker 4 (01:05:48):
And May's had another screenplay like that go to him earlier,
and he dropped it that one. He said, I'm making
sure I catch it, and I'm also gonna take it
for a touchdown too. Great job on the play after
to just get a stip Farman and he was just gone.
There was no one else left on that far up side.
Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
And nice little dumpoff, little swing pass to the wide
receiver in shallow territory. And here comes to tell you
to try and make this a thirty five point game
here for Boysville leading Spring Valley. Snap is down, the
hold is good, the kick is up and through. It's
(01:06:24):
thirty five nothing. We will have a running clock after this.
All boys, fill over Spring Valley here on your home football.
Speaker 1 (01:06:33):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.
Speaker 9 (01:06:38):

zero two zero.
Speaker 1 (01:07:09):
It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
oh six point seven.
Speaker 2 (01:07:14):
Welcome back, everybody. One thirty two left to go in
the first half, and we've got a running clock as
Boysville has taken a thirty five minute lead over Spring Valley.
So Boysville will kick it away from left to right,
two Spring Valley. You're in about ninety two seconds left
in the first half. Time to remind you that we're
past the eight o'clock hour here in western Wisconsin and
(01:07:35):
you're listening to Moose Country one o six point seven.
FM watq chatek o Plaiir Chip will falls Menominee on
iHeartRadio station as hell and drum boots and away. That
one will be fielded by Turner in about his own
four yard line. Here for Spring Valley, Turner running toward
the near sideline, he'll make a man miss get up
to about the thirty five books and with a minute
(01:07:59):
twenty three left ago with the first half, well, Spring
Valley will try and do something.
Speaker 4 (01:08:04):
Yeah, just getting anything on the board right now. I
mean this is quite literally the worst way you could
have started a half, quite literally, I don't know any
I don't know anything that could have gone better for
Voice Bail, but worse for Spring Valley.
Speaker 2 (01:08:18):
A couple turnovers, an interception and a fumble. Here for
the Cardinals, they've looked competent, just haven't gotten really any
of the breaks. Sin's first and ten from the thirty
five and a handoff to Turner and Turner is stuffed
behind the line. Is that nicefield defense who's only given
up eight points all season just really living up to
(01:08:38):
their reputation sect second eleven and.
Speaker 4 (01:08:42):
Just trying to get anything going on? This offense just
hasn't been much going for him today. They had a
great start to that drive in that last one to
try and make it at twenty eight to seven, twenty
eight to three, just cut into the deficit just a
little bit.
Speaker 5 (01:08:56):
But that interception to Carson.
Speaker 4 (01:08:59):
Rome Hill, I mean that really felt like it took
a took the pin and put it into the balloon
is taking.
Speaker 2 (01:09:06):
The air out of this Valley. That's for sure. Fifteen
seconds left in the quarter and Winger will just kneel
it and that will end the half. As Spring Valley
goes into the locker room trailing Boyceville thirty five to
seven after the first half, Dan, We've been watching the
same game I want to run this past year, Valley.
(01:09:27):
They've looked good. They've looked really good defensively, especially in
that first quarter. But no matter how good they look,
Boyceville just seems to play better.
Speaker 14 (01:09:36):
You know.
Speaker 2 (01:09:37):
They had those two sacks when Boyceville was challenging inside
the ten, and then somehow rome Hild gets out and
throws an unbelievable touchdown to an open receiver. They start
driving trying to come back with some momentum. Late in
that first half, they throw one deep down the field.
Who else Rome Hild takes the ball away on a
deep interception and returns it all the way back to
(01:09:59):
the That's funny. No matter what this Spring Valley offense
can do really on either side, offense or defense, it
just doesn't feel like they've got an answer for Boys film.
Speaker 4 (01:10:09):
No, no, and it doesn't. And that's the thing. It's
felt like two steps forward, three steps backward for Spring Valley,
and especially with the penalties that they've accrued, especially on
the kickoffs. I mean, that sets your especially when your
best play of the game was getting to the forty
yard line on a kickoff return. You need to have
that kind of special teams play, especially with how good
(01:10:31):
their special teams can be, to set them up. But
that's the thing too. If you can't get a running
game going with the Asher Turner, who almost.
Speaker 5 (01:10:38):
Has nine hundred yards on the season.
Speaker 4 (01:10:39):
In fact, he'll probably even with his low number of
yards tonight, he'll still probably top the nine hundred yard mark,
you got to win in the trenches, and just right now,
on both sides of the ball, Boysil's absolutely bullied in
the trenches. And it's just it's it's a hardsh thing
to say, but it's just what we've been watching. And
this Boyce Bail team, We've said it all year long.
(01:11:00):
They're a hard team to be They are maybe one
of the best, if not the best team now in
the dun Saint Croix, especially considering Spring Valley was probably
that second one in this entire in this entire conference,
I should say, but wow, we've seen a lot of
action from both sides tonight and Spring Valley for what
for how bad the scoreboard looks, they have not nearly
(01:11:22):
played as bad as that has has.
Speaker 5 (01:11:25):
That has shown.
Speaker 2 (01:11:26):
We've seen quite a few blowouts this season. Usually it's
one team playing great, one team playing poorly. Spring Valley,
you really can't assign that adjective to them, you know.
They they have done They have done their part. They
have just not gotten any of the breaks. And that's
why it is thirty five to nothing at halftime. Dan
and I will be back in just about two minutes.
(01:11:48):
We'll have some scores from around the region and some
other good stuff. We'll talk more about this one as
we'll be right back. You're on your home for at
to midfield.
Speaker 1 (01:11:58):

Your home for high school football Moose Country one oh
six point seven.
Speaker 2 (01:14:05):
Welcome back everybody. No Schwartz and Dan Zohon's alongside is.
We've reached the halftime show and it's been all Boysville
here in Spring Valley. They lead the Cardinals by a
score of thirty five to nothing. We talked a little
bit about it before going to break, but Dan really
just take us through what happened in this first half
and how Boysville has been able to put up the
(01:14:26):
performance that they have so far through two quarters.
Speaker 4 (01:14:29):
I mean it really it really came down to the
war and the trenches there, especially with Boysville just dominating
on both fronts. Their offensive line has been finding all
kinds of gaps and holes to really get the running
backs through. But not only that, their defensive line has
been able to get pressure and has really kind of
taken the especially the wind out of the sales of
their best running back, Astro Turner, who has almost nine
(01:14:52):
hundred yards on the season that leads to dunsin Kroiz
and it's not even close after that, it's about four
hundred yard difference. After that, he has not been able
to get any kind of momentum. He had a little
bit of one at the end of the half for
a little a little bit of a pass out in
the middle of the field, but for the most part
of the offense really hasn't clicked for Spring Valley, but
it's all clicked for Voiceville. I mean, an offense, defense,
(01:15:16):
you name it. This team has been full of playmakers
and they've really shown it tonight.
Speaker 2 (01:15:21):
Absolutely, it's thirty five nothing. You know, you don't get
to a score like that by accident, as it has
been all Boysville rating on the homecoming parade here for
Spring Valley. I understand you've got some scores on the
out of town.
Speaker 4 (01:15:35):
Scoreboard, quite a few, quite a few actually Game of
the week as I, as I have decreed, MONDOVI currently
up seven to nothing on Regis. That's two top five
ranked teams in the division. That's gonna be one to watch,
especially considering the score of this one. When do I
want to tune into that after we conclude here, chip
(01:15:56):
on twenty one to fourteen on DC Everest, then we
all smash up twenty one to seven on North. That
one's gonna be a good one as well. Glenwood City
also up twenty four nothing though on EPC alm Wood
Plum City. They've struggled a little bit this season, but
Glenwood City's really trying to find that last push to
get to the playoffs and they're really trying to make
(01:16:17):
a different or they're really trying to make a statement
here against EPC Alec Mollend up seventeen to fourteen on
Fall Creek. That's a big battle there in the Clover Belt.
That's gonna be one to watch, especially with the playoff
seedings coming up and the Clover Belt being as dangerous
as they are this year. Cameron up twelve to six
on Colfax. Kulfax trying to get their first win of
the season, Cameron trying to win their first game of
(01:16:38):
the season right now, battle to winless seeds going on
in Colfax. And then Schautek up six to six or
tex Hide six to six with can Dots.
Speaker 5 (01:16:46):
Who was here in Spring Valley?
Speaker 4 (01:16:47):
I believe you were covering that game not too long ago.
Speaker 2 (01:16:51):
Yeah, big win for Spring Valley over Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:16:55):
And this Tech team nine rank number nine in the division.
That's a pretty tough matchup for Kaddan considering they played
Spring Valley and it was not really that close. But
that is you're out of town scoreboards for right now.
We'll keep you updated, especially on that Regis Mindobie game
as that game goes on.
Speaker 2 (01:17:13):
All right, Thank you very much, Dan, always a fine
report here in Just one more programming note. As always,
Dan and I will be back alongside you next week
next Friday night, and Nan, it'll be a fun one
for you as we get to see your alma mater.
May it may not be that fun. Carl Facts will
be on the road to take on Boysville. These Boysville Bulldogs.
(01:17:35):
We'll have them for the third week in a row.
Speaker 4 (01:17:38):
Hey, I mean it's time to play spoiler for some
of these teams at the end of the season. So
we'll just have to see any given Friday, right and.
Speaker 2 (01:17:45):
He given Friday. That's absolutely it. But we'll be back
with you next week at seven pm. And of course
we'll have that for you right here on Moose Country
one O six point seven FM and iHeartRadio, your home
for high school football. Right now, we are going to
let the on field festivities wrap up here in Spring Valley.
(01:18:05):
It is their homecoming, bringing out all the royalty, all
the different alumni classes and all that good stuff. We'll
be back with you in ten minutes from Spring Valley
right here on your home for high school football.
Speaker 1 (01:18:20):
It's your home for high school football, Moose Country one
six point seven.
Speaker 2 (01:18:25):
Welcome back everybody. Noah Schwartz and Dan Zon's alongside you
as we're just about ready to get things started here.
The first, excuse me, the second half of this one
is right now. Boyceville leading Spring Valley by a score
of thirty five and not the man as we get
ready for uh halftime to be over and this game
(01:18:48):
to resume outside of the running clock, what are your takeaways?
What are you looking for?
Speaker 8 (01:18:53):
Thank you?
Speaker 4 (01:18:53):
I'm looking for some experience for some of the Spring
Valley players. I mean they have a lot of young players,
and that's something to note. This team and lost all
of their starters last season. Graduation literally took them. You
have a few returning players that are juniors and return
and a couple of handful of other juniors, but they
didn't really get a lot of playtime because when you're
(01:19:14):
nine and l it typically is the starters that get
a lot of those playthrough They might get some extra
backup uh when you're blowing a team out, but it's
not the same as when you're starting that football team.
It's gonna give you some great experience out there on
the fields, but once you're thrown into that starting lineup,
once you're ready to go, you got to really learnt
(01:19:35):
to really get down and understand what your priorities are quickly.
And I mean we're kind of seeing some of that
he struggle there tonight from this Spring Valley team.
Speaker 5 (01:19:45):
They've had some great ups, but then they've had some
really low downs.
Speaker 2 (01:19:50):
It seems like the downs have quite often followed the
ups in quick succession.
Speaker 4 (01:19:55):
Right, especially in that last one of the last drive
Spring Valley had. They had a mass of completion to
ash re Turner that set them up near that fifty
yard line. Then immediately after they tried taking a big
shot down field, made the mistake of targeting Carson rome Hill,
who has now six interceptions on the season, maybe not
the player to be targeting down there, but it was
still a beautifully thrown ball by Winger made it all
(01:20:18):
the way down there, and honestly, if it would have
been another safety, there was a chance that that could
have been completed, but that was not the case, and
instead it came a turnover. Rome Hill runs it all
the way back towards the floor, towards thirty yard line
of Spring Valley and then get a touchdown from there.
Speaker 2 (01:20:34):
Absolutely, at that play, the ball skills of rome Hill
just stick out to me. The way he was able
to flip his hip, slip his head around track that
ball and high pointed to bring it down. I mean
it looked like it was I think Schmidt was the receiver.
I'm right and saying the intended receiver and it looked
like it was gonna fall right into his arms. But
(01:20:55):
you know, Rome Hilt had other ideas and that's at
least a touchdown swing in this ballgame. And part of
the reason that there is this thirty five to nothing
lead here for Boysville.
Speaker 4 (01:21:07):
And I mean we talked about their defense. There's none
you can you have to talk about their defense.
Speaker 2 (01:21:12):
You have to.
Speaker 4 (01:21:13):
There's no way to steer around it.
Speaker 5 (01:21:14):
Their offense has been great, but their defense has really
set them up for these opportunities because, I mean, this
is a great offensive rushing team, especially for the dun
Saint Croix.
Speaker 4 (01:21:25):
Nine hundred yards doesn't just matchically happen. You don't just
get that for just showing up and playing football. You
have to really run, You gotta really know your assignments,
and the you of this team is just showing it here,
especially going up against a full senior squad of this
Boyceville team that has just that. I mean, they have
one of their offensive linemen go down to with an injury,
really hoping he's okay. He had to get helped off
(01:21:47):
the field there. Well, they were able to sop someone
right back in and get a touchdown on that same
drive almost with no no misstep.
Speaker 2 (01:21:57):
We get ready to go here in the second half,
Spring Valley has taken the field. They are ready to
return the kick Boyceville. We're still waiting for them to
take the field, but it will be Spring Valley, you know,
barring a turnover or something starting things off here in
the third quarter. And just a little aside here as
we wait for Boycefield to get ready. In the sixties
(01:22:20):
and seventies, the greatest goaltender in the sport of hockey
in the entire world was the goaltender for the Soviet Union,
Vladislav Tretiak. And if you've seen the movie about the
nineteen eighty US Olympic team, they would say, if you
score on Treddy at keep the puck. Well, hey, if
this Spring Valley offense can score on this Boycevield defense,
(01:22:41):
they're gonna want to keep the football.
Speaker 4 (01:22:43):
Yes they are, and they're going to definitely want to.
There's gonna be a way for them to really be
able to come back into this game, and it's going
to really come down to getting a touchdown on this
drift to really start this off.
Speaker 2 (01:22:54):
Twelve minutes on the clock. We're ready here in the
third quarter as Helen Drung is ready, here's the up
and he kicks it away from left to right. It
is a squib kick, bounces and it will be fielded
about the five by Sam Schmidt here for Spring Valley.
Schmid is gonna run to the far side, but he
is taken down inside the ten Schmid and so backed
(01:23:14):
up will be these Cardinals trailing by thirty five. They've
got a tall order.
Speaker 4 (01:23:20):
Dan, yes, they do. And Schmid was trying to get
some extra yards on that outside was kind of just
running flatline across the field there. You It worked before
and it netted him about a forty yard return, or
not a forty yard return, but about a twenty thirty
yard return. But that time voicefil smartened up and got
their coverage down, stopped them right there, and now they're
backed up again.
Speaker 2 (01:23:41):
It will be first and ten right from the ten
yard line their own ten here for Spring Valley, as
Mason Winger, their quarterback, will be in the shotgun. Looks
like there's some miscommunication about where some of the players
are lining up. Turner moves to the far side as
a wide receiver, empty set five wide receivers three on
the near side. Winger back to pass, he is converged
(01:24:03):
upon by two bulldogs. Throws it deep, but that one
is knocked away nicely defenced by Andrew Tonan Wingers passes
incomplete second down, and give him.
Speaker 4 (01:24:15):
Some credit, but also give that pass rush some credit.
There three step drop for Winger and he was immediately
pressured off that far side by Madison and also on
the other side by Helling. Drunk, both of them some
of the better pass rushers on this team. If you
are not putting two people on those outside guys, you're
gonna have a really rough time, especially with them dropping
four in completion.
Speaker 2 (01:24:36):
But the clock keeps running. Second and ten here for
Spring Valley ten twenty six and counting left to go
in the third quarter as its Winger under center with
Turner behind him in the backfield. Will be a little
hand off to Turner and Turner really going nowhere in
a hurry. Looks like the blue bean bag is down.
It sounds like a fumble and looks like this one
(01:24:59):
may have been recovered by Boyce Field and it looks
like it has. Spring Valley's offense is coming off the field.
Speaker 1 (01:25:06):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (01:25:08):
First fumble of the season coming here against this great
defense for the Boysful Bulldogs, and that is that is
not the way you wanted to start this drive off
at all. If you're Spring Valley and you just gave
it back to them in the ten yard line.
Speaker 2 (01:25:21):
It'll be first and goal from the ten. How about
that for starting field position here for Boyceville. I mean,
they've had some good positions, you know, it's starting off
I think once that they're own twenty maybe twice. But
first and goal when you come out onto the field,
that's something. Is it'll be roam hilled under center, two
wide receivers and two backs. It's a handoff to Helen Drunk.
(01:25:42):
Hellen Drunk hits the line plows forward inside the five
to the four before the pile comes to rest second
in goal from now the four yard.
Speaker 4 (01:25:51):
Line, and they just keep on moving and moving this
pile and suddenly this thing could really turn into a
six touchdown game here for Boysville. You start to wonder
when some of the younger players are gonna make their
way onto the field.
Speaker 2 (01:26:06):
Really been something second in goal, they'll say, just inside
the five. It looks like the back of the football
is on the chalk of that white five yard line
here for Boyceville, Rome Hild will be under center again.
Two backs behind him in the backfield. That's Lindstrum and
Helen Drum. They're gonna look to keep the ball on
the ground. They handed to Helen Drunk. Helen Drum running
(01:26:28):
to his left now dragging a man, gets down to
about the two, maybe the but he is short. It'll
be third and about the length of the football. Third goal.
Speaker 4 (01:26:38):
He honestly maybe could have powered his way through there
if he had someone pushing him from behind.
Speaker 5 (01:26:43):
I mean, he really didn't look like he was going down.
Speaker 4 (01:26:45):
Someone grabbed him from the top, but he was still
able to turn his legs and keep pushing that pile.
Speaker 5 (01:26:51):
Just a great running back to having your backfield.
Speaker 2 (01:26:54):
Third and goal from the one. Just about eight minutes
and ten seconds left to go here in the third,
third quarter, thirty five nothing Boyceville over Spring Valley and
they're looking to extend it. Under centers, Rome Hill will
be a handoff to Helen Drunk again. Helen Drung hurdles
a man and into the end zone. That will be
the sixth touchdown of the night here for Boyceville. They
(01:27:16):
take a forty one to nothing lead over Spring Valley
on the road, and I mean, what.
Speaker 5 (01:27:24):
Else can you say about this team?
Speaker 4 (01:27:25):
This boycefil team is really just not only have they
let the dogs bark tonight, but they have quite literally
let them off the lead and let them just go
running out, go run them up. Because this is exactly
what you talk about when you talk about boycemil football.
Speaker 5 (01:27:40):
Just hard pass rushing, strong running. And now a forty
two nothing lead.
Speaker 2 (01:27:47):
Is out there for the point after attempt will be
Thomas Vitelli. The kick is up and good makes it
forty two to nothing. Here's seven to fifty three left
to go on the third quarter. We'll be right back.
Speaker 8 (01:28:00):
Home for high school four five.

Speaker 2 (01:28:42):
Welcome back, Noah Schwartz and Dan Zohn's alongside. It's been
a running block since late in the second quarter, about
halfway through the third forty two and nothing Boysville over
Spring Valley. As we get into this one, talking about
this Boysville team, they have now scored forty points in
five of their six games this season, and in that
sixth game, they scored thirty nine points. This offense is
(01:29:06):
unstoppable and the defense is even better. Helen Drunk kicks
it away from left to right that will be fielded
by Schmidt about his own ten for Spring Valley. He's
up to the fifteen to twenty making a move before
he is brought down to about the twenty eight yard line,
and that is where these Spring Valley Cardinals will look
to put something to the other turn.
Speaker 4 (01:29:25):
And I mean at this point it's just to say
you got a touchdown on one of the best defenses,
not only in the division, not only in the conference,
but in the state. I mean the way that they've
been moving. It's really hard to stop a team that
has ballhawks as well as great pass rushers in front,
especially a defensive line that can find their gaps and
(01:29:45):
can sit down and stop a running back that is
a massed over nine hundred yards on the season.
Speaker 2 (01:29:51):
Boysville has given up just one touchdown defensively on the season.
As it'll be a direct snap to Turner. He'll keep
himself after a fake handoff on first down and oh,
the ball is out again. The ball is on the
ground about the thirty five yard line. There's a pile,
(01:30:12):
no signal on who's got it yet, and we'll have
to see who recovers it. Oh my, if this is
another fumble loss for Spring Valley, it's it would take
even more ERA out of this Valley.
Speaker 4 (01:30:27):
They get it back second, we'll recover.
Speaker 2 (01:30:30):
It'll be second and five after that game from Turner
on kind of a wild game type of formation, and
they'll call it second and three. And that thing.
Speaker 4 (01:30:41):
I mean, that's the second time now tonight, that that
balls popped out of Astro Turner's hands. He had zero
fumbles up to tonight. Now two of them and back
to back drives.
Speaker 2 (01:30:49):
Both in this third quarter. Rough quarter for Turner is
spring Valley gets to continue. It'll be second and three
from their own thirty five yard line. Wingers in the
shotgun war wide receivers to on either side, Turner beside him,
but Wingers gonna drop back to pass three guys after
him throws it deep down the field, tipped and intercepted
by rome Hild. That one went off of Schmidt's fingertips
(01:31:15):
and Carson Romhild, whose name we've said about three times
a series.
Speaker 4 (01:31:23):
That's a low That was a low mountain man.
Speaker 2 (01:31:25):
Second pick of the game.
Speaker 4 (01:31:28):
There is not a lot to say, honestly. That's seven
interceptions for him as a defensive back on the season.
He still has yet to throw his first interception as
a quarterback.
Speaker 2 (01:31:37):
I am at a loss for words.
Speaker 5 (01:31:40):
That is that is insane.
Speaker 2 (01:31:42):
That was right.
Speaker 4 (01:31:43):
He was in the right spot the right time to
get that deflection too. I mean that got batted up
in the here. I thought that may have been was
gonna get caught by a quarterback or a cap by
one of the wide receivers as they.
Speaker 5 (01:31:53):
Run up to the line.
Speaker 2 (01:31:54):
Here we boys filled first and ten from their own
thirty seven, and it looks like Rome Hild is under center,
as it will be a handoff. Nope, it is the
second unit in here for Boysville. There'll be a minimal
game before the ball carrier looks like that Iscarlsrude is
sent backwards by the Spring Valley defense. We'll bringer up
(01:32:16):
second and seven.
Speaker 4 (01:32:17):
And I mean, at this point, this is kind of
exactly what they wanted. They wanted to see one more
defensive stop here by their first unit. Now get their
second unit out there. Forty two to nothing right now,
running clock. You have the ball on the Spring Valley
side of the field, well close to the Spring Valley
side of the field.
Speaker 5 (01:32:33):
Now's your time to just run out the clock.
Speaker 2 (01:32:35):
Eli Webber is the new quarterback here for Boysville's. They've
got their second unit in. He's under center, second and seven,
right from the midfield stripe. There'll be a handoff. This
time the ball goes to Oh, well, it's looked like
number thirty five. There's no thirty five on the uh
(01:32:56):
on the roster, but they're gonna say it's twenty five.
Jeffrey Middlestat he gets a game of about two, it'll
make it third and five.
Speaker 5 (01:33:04):
And a good decent gain there.
Speaker 4 (01:33:06):
Just trying to get your running back some extra yards
there on, especially some of them the inexperienced runners out there.
He's gotten a couple of handoffs in previous games that
have ended in blowouts.
Speaker 5 (01:33:18):
Getting some more shine tonight.
Speaker 2 (01:33:22):
Three forty three left to go in the third quarter,
third and five for Boyceville leading Spring Valley forty two
to nothing. A hand no, it'll be a keeper on
a fake handoff for Weber and Weber is taken down
behind the line as that tackle may Spring Valley by
Blake Bankstrom'll be a loss of about two. Will bring
(01:33:43):
up fourth and I'd call that about six or seven,
and uh, we'll see a unit.
Speaker 4 (01:33:50):
It might, is my guess, either a punt unit or yeah,
now we're gonna have the punt unit to come out there,
just like a kind of three and out series. They're
still have that Spring Valley defense in that has been
a decent.
Speaker 5 (01:34:02):
It's been decent all night for them.
Speaker 4 (01:34:04):
I'd say, I mean, it's a forty two to nothing game,
but they're a young squad out there, and they're going.
Speaker 5 (01:34:09):
To keep getting better as the season goes on.
Speaker 2 (01:34:13):
It will be a punt formation, Carson rome Hill back
out there to kick it away. This will be the
first punt of the night for Boysville. Here's the snap.
It's booted high in the air, coming toward the near sideline.
That will drop at about the twenty yard line. It
will roll to I think they'll call that the fifteen
or the fourteen before it is downed, and that is
(01:34:35):
where Spring Valley will take over seven seconds out counting
left to go here in the third quarter with the
running clock as Spring Valley out there again trailing forty
two to nothing, and we're.
Speaker 4 (01:34:49):
Probably gonna still see some defensive players subbing out here. Yeah,
a lot of the defensive players that we're starting for
this game are no longer out there.
Speaker 7 (01:34:57):
Now.
Speaker 4 (01:34:57):
Now is the chance for Spring Valley to potentially get
a or up on the board make themselves feel better
about how this game has gone. This is another one
of those games where you just kind of you burn
the tape at the end of the night. Voyeball is
just that kind of dominant team.
Speaker 2 (01:35:09):
It will be winger under center here on first and
ten from the fifteen. They'll hand that ball. Looks like
it's turner and Turner is stopped in his tracks gain
of go not much.
Speaker 5 (01:35:22):
They might give him a yard.
Speaker 4 (01:35:24):
I think too, you're.
Speaker 2 (01:35:25):
Gonna give them two yards. It looks like second down,
second and eight, and.
Speaker 4 (01:35:31):
This is your chance to really find some kind of
offensive rhythm to take into the next game. If you're
Spring Valley, they still have their first team offense out there,
Wingers out there, Astro Turners out there, so you still
have a chance to really score against a second team
defense here because it will.
Speaker 2 (01:35:46):
Be Winger in the shotgun. He's back to pass on
second and eight, lifting that ball deep down the field,
nearly intercepted tight coverage thereby Finn Carls Rude, and he
had that one drop through his bread basket the defensive
back for Boyceville. That'll bring up third and eight.
Speaker 4 (01:36:04):
And I like what Spring Valley did on that play.
Try and stretch the field there with one of your
better players, an Asher Turner, but just an even better
play by the backup defensive back here for Boyceville.
Speaker 2 (01:36:15):
Inside of fifty seconds left to go in this third quarter,
here from Spring Valley trailing forty two to nothing. Here
to Boyceville are the Cardinals, and it looks like they'll
have one more play before the quarter break. His winger
is there under center on third and eight, two wide receivers,
one on either side. The loan back in the backfield
(01:36:35):
is Turner. It's a fake toss now a handoff on
the reverse that looks like Schmid Schmidt with a full
set of steam. He's running. He's got two men to
be down the sideline. Fifty forty five forty thirty twenty
ten fad touchdown Spring Valley, Sam Schmidt on the end
around the reverse there and oh man, they needed.
Speaker 4 (01:36:59):
That one, if not to make themselves feel better at
the end of the day. Just a good good sign there.
See that offense get some life going, especially with Sam
Schmid who's almost had a couple of breakaways there, finally
gets his one on the end and boyseball and a
couple of misstackles a little bit unlike them, but this
is their second unit out there right now.
Speaker 2 (01:37:21):
Yeah, that's just the second touchdown that that the Boyceville defense,
first unit or otherwise has given up. That makes this
a forty two to six game, thirteen seconds left to
go on the third quarter. On for the pat will
be Isaac Canning and he puts that one through the upright.
So with thirteen seconds left to go on the third
(01:37:43):
it's Boysville forty two, Spring Valley seven. You're on your
home for high school football.
Speaker 1 (01:37:49):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh

It's your home for high school football, Moose Country one
oh six point seven.
Speaker 2 (01:38:30):
Welcome back everybody. Thirteen seconds left to go in the
third quarter. But Spring Valley, you know they've gotten the
Goose egg off the board. It's forty two to seven,
and I think for that we can all be thankful.
Speaker 4 (01:38:42):
Yeah, and especially if you're a Spring Valley fan, it
just feels nice to actually get something up on the
board against the team that's going to go far in
the playoffs.
Speaker 2 (01:38:51):
Spring Valley ready to kick it away. Canning sends that
one deep moving from right to left fielded back at
about the ten. Looks like that will be uh Finn,
Carl's rude? Is Carls rude able to make it up
to about the thirty five to thirty seven There is
a flag down and a little bit of pushing and shoving,
some extracurricular activities going on there after the whistle. We'll
(01:39:15):
check on that flag kick. It looks like it will
be a holding call against Boysville, and I don't know
what that signal means. It's oh, we'll figure it out.
I'm at the very least I'm sure they will announce.
Speaker 4 (01:39:32):
It, just waiting for an explanation on it, maybe a
kicking procedure.
Speaker 2 (01:39:38):
Something like that. I thought I saw holding a signal
from the referee over down there in the white head.
Speaker 4 (01:39:44):
I also did I think that. I think he was
asking if they wanted to rekick. That was what that
was signaling, but obviously not really feeling the rekick there.
Speaker 2 (01:39:54):
So they will spot it right at the ten yard line.
Here's back ten yards from the spot of the foul
is where Boyceville will take over. We'll have one untimed
down here at the end of the third quarter, and
then we'll send it to the fourth. Right after this,
as Boyceville leading their offense onto the field. Long way
(01:40:18):
to go though, is they've got that thirty five point lead.
Of course they need to continue to lead by thirty
five in order to keep this clock running in the fourth.
Speaker 4 (01:40:28):
Yeah, you can't play safe here, or at least too
safe here. Can't turn over the ball as soon as
you give back this team.
Speaker 2 (01:40:37):
Weber is under center, two backs behind him. That'll be
a handoff for Boyceville and not a whole lot of game.
The excuse me, Jeffrey Middlestat on the carry gain of
I and that will end the third quarter on an
untimed down, So we'll go to the fourth. Twelve minutes
(01:40:59):
left in this one at Boyceville up by thirty five.
It's forty two to seven over Spring Valley here on
your home for high school football.
Speaker 1 (01:41:08):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.
Speaker 13 (01:41:12):

O six point seven.
Speaker 2 (01:41:48):
Welcome back, everybody. We've reached the fourth quarter. Noh Schwartz
and Dan John's alongside you as Boyceville leading Spring Valley
forty two to seven here in this one ten. What
have we been watching?
Speaker 4 (01:42:02):
Oh, we saw Spring Valley got a great comeback. Uh
got to really come back into this game a little
bit here, got a little bit of light there at
the end of the third quarter and got a touchdown
there with that Sam Schmidt amazing run. I mean it
was a reverse or reverse and Schmidt somehow got outside
of that pocket, took off completely untouched down that sideline.
(01:42:25):
But now we have boys will come back onto the field.
Second team still out there trying to put this game away.
Speaker 2 (01:42:30):
We'll be second and eight here for Boysville, Eli Weber,
their second string quarterback, is out there. He's under center.
Two backs in the backfield here for the Bulldogs. It's
a quick little toss that time looks like it goes
to Gavin Rye Dell and Rye Dell. It's a first
down and more out of bounds past the twenty five
to about the twenty seven. They're gonna say that was
(01:42:53):
Middlestat on the carry. It looked like Rydell to me.
Speaker 5 (01:42:56):
Yeah, I mean that's the thing too.
Speaker 4 (01:42:59):
There's a couple of ride Dell on this team too,
so there's gonna be a lot of different players to
get the handoff, especially since they do a little bit
of a running back by committee here for this boys
Fail team. Everyone seems to get a touch out there
eleven and a.
Speaker 2 (01:43:09):
Half minutes to go here in this one, as Boycevil
trying to bleed this clock away, however, under center, still
two backs in the backfield. Two wide receivers won on
either side for Boysfel though. On first and ten, once again,
it will be a handoff up the middle and not
a whole lot. Looks like it's a game or maybe
(01:43:30):
two second back colony.
Speaker 4 (01:43:32):
Yeah, and that was a good push up there for Boysville.
But this defensive line has really kind of tried to
slow down the running game, only allowing a few yards
to carry for this boys full running offense. But they
had a great breakaway first down that was outside the boundaries.
I'll see if they don't try that outside boundary running again.
Speaker 2 (01:43:51):
The second and eight still from their own twenty six.
But they've been making good progress, have these Bulldogs? However?
Under center again, man in motion, that's Ryde Dell, and
Rye Dell gets it on the end around and he
gets maybe a yard before he is stuffed as he
runs right into the line here for Spring Valley. And
(01:44:14):
that'll bring up third and eighth or twenty seconds left
to go on the.
Speaker 4 (01:44:19):
Fourth and you can't play two Q here, like you
just said. Another touchdown here for Spring Valley, and suddenly
the clock is back off.
Speaker 5 (01:44:28):
Clock's back off.
Speaker 4 (01:44:29):
You're not running that clock down anymore. And you can
play conservative, you're but you really need to take some
shots towards the edge, find some kind of running room,
find a first down. Because they score another touchdown here,
it's suddenly they're back into this game, even though it
still would be a four touchdown game.
Speaker 2 (01:44:46):
Nine fifty three and counting left to play here in
the fourth quarter, third down and eight here for Boysville.
Whoever with the quick toss. Looks like that's middle Stat
around the near side. He's got the first down or
more and forced out of bounds out about the fifty
all came out. It was forced out. Looked like that
was and Forester on the coverage fumble went out of bound,
(01:45:09):
so Boyceville retains possession. There'll be another Boyceville first down.
Speaker 4 (01:45:13):
Yeah, and that was a great job there by middle
Stat to take the top off the defense there and
find his way for another first down. That's another third
down conversion here by this Boyceville offense just finding ways
to get some sort of space out there, even though
they know that it's going to be a run moist
and likely more.
Speaker 2 (01:45:31):
Than likely they'll spot it at the spring Valley forty eight.
So it will be first and ten Boyceville. Webber's under center,
two backs in the backfield, no receivers as this will
be a quick toss here to Finn Carlsrud and carls
Rude run into his right, turns upfield of about the
(01:45:51):
forty four of Spring Valley brings up second and about five.
Speaker 4 (01:45:57):
And it's just good if you're a Boysville fan, it
just feels nice to see that you have a team
that can still manage to run the ball even with
it being.
Speaker 5 (01:46:05):
Such a high scoring game.
Speaker 4 (01:46:07):
Being such a high score game, and you're getting some
of your second maybe third string players out there, some
of the younger players, the freshman, the sophomores that usually
don't see the field that much, getting some kind of
success out there. And if your boys will ask a
great way, that's just great to see.
Speaker 2 (01:46:23):
Eight minutes and fifteen seconds left to play, it'll be
second down and six here from the Spring Valley forty
four for Boysville. They send a man in motion, that's
Ride Dell. They pitch it to Rye Dell. Rye Dell
running near side, makes a man miss, now cuts back upfield,
and he will fight forward for about two yards past
the line of scrimmage. That'll make it third and four
(01:46:45):
here right or Boysville.
Speaker 4 (01:46:47):
And even though he cut back and almost lost a
lot of yardage on that, he was able to find
a way back to that middle back to that middle
hashmark and really get some more yardage up there. It
was only a couple of yards, but it felt like
he gained like seven yards despite going backwards along the way.
Speaker 2 (01:47:08):
Third down and four yards to go here for Boysville,
they try and keep this drive going and this clock moving.
With their thirty five point lead, seven minutes and twenty
seconds left to play and the clock is running. Whoever
fakes the handoff now gives it off here to Carlsruad,
and carls Ruad fights forward past the forty. Oh, that's
(01:47:29):
gonna be mighty close. It'll depend on the spot. But
I think they're going to say that boys fell first down.
Speaker 5 (01:47:36):
Just churning ahead, and this is what they needed too.
Speaker 4 (01:47:39):
You can't go concern you can't go too conservative on
them and let them come back into this game. They're
finding ways to really put on the pressure on that
Spring Valley second team defense.
Speaker 5 (01:47:49):
And right now, I mean clock just keeps on turning.
Speaker 2 (01:47:53):
Another set of downs, another three four plays here for
Boysville is there. They've already assumed half of this uh
this fourth quarter, and they'd like to eat up the
rest of that chunk too, So it'll be first and
ten here from the Spring Valley thirty seven yard line,
two wide receivers, one on either side. For Boyceville, it
(01:48:15):
will be a handoff that goes to middle stat and
middle stat is met behind the line and dropped at
the forty one. That'll be a loss, spot loss. So
I'll bring up second and long here in six minutes.
Speaker 8 (01:48:27):
Left to play.
Speaker 4 (01:48:29):
Yeah, just on a lot of yardage on that on
that one, really, I mean the blocking was there for
a second, but that Spring Valley defense was able to
really come back into this one.
Speaker 2 (01:48:40):
And for last will be second and thirteen. It's a
loss of three for middle stat. They'll spot the ball
right at the forty here for Boyceville, fake handoff, now
they hand it this time it goes to Carls Road
and Carl's up past the thirty five to about the
(01:49:02):
thirty four before he's talk. That gets Boyceville close to
being on schedule. It looks like it'll be third and six.
Speaker 4 (01:49:11):
Carls are having that great pass defense in an earlier
drive against the Spring Valley team. I mean, this guy
is talented. They have a lot of great talented players
to play on both sides of the ball, and they
can really make plays, and that's something that's a luxury
to have, honestly, for a high school football team.
Speaker 2 (01:49:28):
Third and six ball on the thirty four yard line
of Spring Valley. Here for Boyceville. Wweber under center again,
no wide receivers, two backs in the backfield. Here for
the Bulldogs. It's a quick toss out to middle stat
and middle stat got a head of steam along the
far sideline up past the thirty to about the twenty nine.
(01:49:50):
A flag after the play as behind the really exchanging
pleasantries you might it says we're inside of five minutes
to go.
Speaker 5 (01:50:02):
And I mean it's homecoming too.
Speaker 4 (01:50:04):
Uh. These are the types of emotions you're feeling out
here when you're trying to play in front of your fans,
especially when you just had a four and oh record
after going oh to two to start off the season.
Speaker 2 (01:50:17):
And now whistles here and looks like we're gonna have
an officials time out to talk things over.
Speaker 5 (01:50:24):
Potential ejection.
Speaker 2 (01:50:26):
Looks like it might be two flags on the field.
There's some oways going on from one of the students sections.
Speaker 5 (01:50:37):
Sounds like someone got disqualified.
Speaker 2 (01:50:42):
It is a personal foul against Boyceville and an ejection
personal One of.
Speaker 8 (01:50:48):
The Boysville Bulldogs has been ejected.
Speaker 2 (01:50:51):
And he has been ejected here for Boyceville with four
twenty nine left to go, and now the clock will
run as uh we keep going. Also a big penalty
and a longer fourth down. It'll be fourth and about seventeen.
Speaker 4 (01:51:09):
Yeah, that really backs them up here, So there's not
a lot you can go for here. I'm honestly surprised
they're not sending their punting now. It looks like they
might even go for it right here.
Speaker 2 (01:51:19):
They might four fourth and seventeen. You know, at this
point in the game, it is kind of academic. As
we're inside of four minutes left to go, Boysville coming
to the line of Weber under center, He's got two
wide receivers, one on either side, and two backs in
the backfield. I think they just want another down. On offenses.
They handed to middle stat who fights forward for about
(01:51:40):
four taken down by two cardinals the carriage that will
bring up a first down for Spring Valley at about
their own forty three forty four yards.
Speaker 4 (01:51:51):
And I mean, looking at the standings right now, and
especially with how some of these games are about to
play out, Spring Valley's gonna drop to four and one
in conference. Boysville to five and oh six and oh overall,
and you're still if you're Spring Valley, you're still up
top in the dun Saint Croix. You're not out of
the playoffs per se, and you're still alive in the
fight for the dun Saint Croix as well. I mean
(01:52:13):
you go down to Boycevil here, and I mean the
the margin between Boyce Phil Spring Valley and Turtle Lake
are is massive. I'll be honest, it's massive. But you
can still have a lot of takeaways from this game.
You put up some points on easily one of the
best defenses in the division, if not the state. And
also you're still on you're still at the top of
(01:52:35):
the dun Saint Croix conference.
Speaker 2 (01:52:38):
See it will be first and ten from their own
forty three. And there's Owen Hague, the backup quarterback, second unit.
As the handoff goes he gets a gain of it
looks like two and that will bring up second down
here for Spring Valley. Two and a half minutes left
to play in this one.
Speaker 4 (01:52:57):
Yeah, and I'm looking at some other scores, still six
six Cha Tech and Kadat Cameron's still up twelve to
six on Colbacks and Elk Mound. It's still a seventeen
to fourteen lead over Fall Creek. These are heading into
some of the later games, so some really interesting ones still.
Speaker 2 (01:53:13):
Be a handoff now on second and ten, that one
goes to Forster again and Forster to the fifty yard
line right at the midfield stripe will be the third
and I think they'll call that three as we are
inside of two minutes left to play.
Speaker 4 (01:53:28):
And this this score a little less interesting than the
other ones, but still in the dun Saint Croix Glenwood
City up thirty one to nothing on Elmwood Plump City.
Speaker 2 (01:53:37):
Two wide receivers on either side, two backs behind the quarterback.
Hague who's under center here on third and three will
be a keeper for Hag. He's rolling to his right
now he's gonna run for it. I think he got
it before he was out of bouts. As he's taken
down on the sideline, I think it looks like they're
gonna call him fourth and short. It's fourth and about
(01:54:00):
a half a yard.
Speaker 4 (01:54:01):
Yeah, it looked like he had extended that ball just
past that first down marker. But oh, there they are
now they will give him the first down.
Speaker 2 (01:54:07):
Yep. It will be a Spring Valley first down, so
I you know, that's a good note to end off on.
With a minute fifteen and counting left to go, I
would be shocked if we get more than two plays
here for Spring Valley.
Speaker 5 (01:54:20):
Yeah, it looks like there's lining up in that eye formation.
Speaker 2 (01:54:24):
So it is Hague under center, two wide receivers and
two running backs. They handed to Forster again Forrester first
down and more stumbles stays on his feet thirty twenty
five to the twenty before he is taken down a
late flag coming downfield on that rug. A big gain
for Forrester. Little excitement at least, you know, to send
(01:54:45):
these Cardinal fans home with something.
Speaker 5 (01:54:48):
Unfortunately, this one might be coming back a bed and.
Speaker 2 (01:54:51):
It looks like it will waiting on the call personal
foul against boys against Spring Valley. So this ball will
be coming back.
Speaker 8 (01:55:00):
The personal follow against the Cardinals.
Speaker 2 (01:55:02):
And uh, with twenty three seconds left to go, I
would be shocked if Spring Valley runs another play here.
This will be first down still to go. They will
go there are ten seconds left on the clock. They're
gonna hurry to the line. Back to pass will be

we'll get you that station identification here. You're listening to
high school football coverage right here on Moose Country one
O six point seven FF and iHeart Radio The Techno
(01:58:19):
player Trip will falls phenomena on iHeart Radio station Yo
Schwarts here, Dan John's there as this was a forty
one to seven win here for Spring Valley, all right
here for Boysville. Oh man, what game was not watching?
It really was in run time before the end of
the second quarter. Dan really got a whole lot more
(01:58:42):
to this one. Is Voiceville really living up to their
undefeated a fourth rank you know, reputation coming into this one?
Oh yeah, for sure.
Speaker 4 (01:58:52):
And I mean they put their foot on the gas
pedal to start off this game. Then they really showed
that they wanted to start this game off on the
right foot. Not only they they had the chance to
take the football at around the thirty five to forty
yard line and go from there. Instead, they had Spring
Valley rekick the football and immediately got a kick return
for a touchdown from Cross Carson Romhild, who was just
(01:59:16):
all had his name stamped all over this game. But
I feel like we've said that about almost every single
game that he's played for Boys fil now this time
having two interceptions on defense, multiple passing touchdowns through the air,
and also just finding ways to get his offense to
continue to push forward even in the some of the worst.
(01:59:36):
They were backed up at a fourth and ten to
start off this game, came back, threw a touchdown on
a broken play somehow got that ball off. I thought
he was gonna get sacked in the backfield. I thought
Spring Valley was going to have a chance to go
down the field and tie this game. No, Boyceville put
their foot on the gas. They took the right chances
and it paid off. And that just shows the coaching
(01:59:59):
staff's calm in their team, but also just shows that
they know they that they know and they think they
can win against every single team out here, especially a
tough one like Spring Valley and Spring Valleys no slouch.
Speaker 5 (02:00:11):
They just beat one of the best done Saint Croix teams.
Speaker 2 (02:00:14):
They did, and they beat them handly. It was forty
Was it forty one or forty two?
Speaker 4 (02:00:20):
I believe it was forty one.
Speaker 2 (02:00:21):
It was forty one to nothing well before the end
of the second quarter, thirty five actually thirty five to
at the end of the editor, another one right in
the beginning of the third. And you know, Spring Valley,
for their credit, they they battled back. They got a
score of their own on the board, just the second
touchdown that this Boysville defense has allowed all season. But
(02:00:42):
really not a whole lot more to it than that.
Is this final forty one to seven Spring Valley over
Boyceville over Spring Valley. I gotta get these things in
the right order. You got any more out of town
scores for us? Or did you go through them all
in the fourth quarter?
Speaker 4 (02:00:59):
I kind of went through them all on the fourth quarter.
But for right now, there's a few scores that are
the same. Colefax and Colfax and camera and that one's
going down to the wires. A twelve to six game.
They were taking a time out for an injury there,
hoping the injured Colfax player gets off the field and
is okay, because that was a fun game to be watching.
Elk Mound was up seventeen to fourteen on Fall Creek
(02:01:21):
last time I checked, which was only a minute ago,
so who knows what happens in a minute. But as
we've seen, a lot can change, a lot can change
in Friday night football. And also the Tech Kadak game
that one upset alert here but still six to six.
Kadat lost pretty handily to this Spring Valley team earlier,
and Shittek ranked at number nine. They have a chance
(02:01:44):
to fall completely out of the rankings now if they
cannot put it together here against Kaddat, But they still
have a fourth quarter to play. And the last time
we checked Regis Mondovia it was a seven to nothing
Mondovi game. But we'll see if that changes anytime soon here.
Speaker 2 (02:01:58):
Yeah, we'll see. Actually, we've got a quick update from
Pecanuts and our friend and mentor here. He's also the
radio voice of those Regis Ramblers, and he's letting us know, well,
