Speaker 1 (00:02):
This is a special presentation of iHeartMedia Sports on Moose
Country one O six point seven.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
It's time for high school football right here on Moose
Country one O six point seven FM, Moose one O
six dot com and iHeartRadio. My name is no Sports
alongside my friend and colleague Dan Zon's as always, and
we're here between for a game rather between the Boyceville
Bulldogs and the Colefax Vikings here in Boyceville. Let's take

(00:32):
a step aside to the field here for the singing
of our national anthem.

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Oh can you see? To what's Suprilessa? Who's must stripe?

Speaker 4 (01:00):
And broad stars through the blastpot or the dry watch
for sogainly.

Speaker 5 (01:14):
Stream on thecket't bursting game b through.

Speaker 6 (01:27):
The not.

Speaker 7 (01:30):
Pafag steal oh sa does that stor spinle plan.

Speaker 6 (01:46):
Or the land to the bat.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
And with that it's time for football now, Dan welcome
you back into the broadcast. This is an interesting game,
of course, Boyceville rank number four, they're six and zero, undefeated.
They've been a powerhouse all season. Colefax, to put it kindly, hasn't.

Speaker 6 (02:15):
Yeah, Well, what are you looking for? What are you
expecting coming into this game?

Speaker 8 (02:19):
Well, this is Colefax's chance to really get that first
win of the season here, and really the first win
of in multiple years now, dating back to really twenty
nineteen where their final two games were when I was
actually playing for Colefax.

Speaker 9 (02:35):
That we got a.

Speaker 8 (02:36):
Couple of wins there. But this is your chance to
play spoiler. If you're coal Fax. You're going against a
team that thinks they can beat you. Know they can
beat you, and have beaten teams quite like you throughout
the full season. But that kind of big headedness, though,
could also lead to a downfall if you're not careful
like Boyce bail is usually.

Speaker 9 (02:56):
Boys is usually pretty careful.

Speaker 8 (02:58):
I'd have to say, I would say that they're a
well coached team.

Speaker 6 (03:01):
I thought I could say that.

Speaker 8 (03:02):
But you've always got to make sure to watch your
blind side, though, especially when it comes to teams that
you don't really expect playing above and beyond what they
usually can.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Absolutely, you know, the saying is any given Sunday, any
given Friday to here at this level in high school
really not out of the question for a team like
Colefax to at least try and play spoiler here. As
we nearly ready for kickoff here, from Boyceville on a
beautiful night here in western Wisconsin. Says it's fifty nine

(03:32):
degrees and clear here in this one.

Speaker 6 (03:36):
But I'm not a beautiful yea not a cloud in
the sky. The sun is just about set behind those hills.

Speaker 8 (03:41):
Some nice Chris football weather, right, sweats your weather. Sweat
your weather. I mean it is fall has ballinge and
it really has felt like it here just to be
in the night so far.

Speaker 6 (03:52):
Absolutely great weather, and we're hoping for great football.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
As we get ready here, it looks like Colefax is
ready to receive. So on that noe. We'll get you
a look at the uniform matchup here for these two teams.
Here for the hometown Boys fill Bulldogs, it's purple helmets,
black jerseys with the white letters and purple pants. And
meanwhile for Colefax, it's the red helmets with the white jerseys,

(04:16):
red numbers, and red pants or excuse me, white pants
with a red stripe.

Speaker 6 (04:21):
Here.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
As we get ready to go in this one, Dan,
I think this is gonna be a lot of fun.

Speaker 8 (04:25):
I think so too. I think, especially with no expectations
for Colfax coming into this, you're coming in to just
try and win a game here. The pressure's gone. It
just go out there and play some football and if
your boysful, go out there and you get another win,
especially considering they have yet to lose yet this season
and have yet to give up more than fifteen points total,

(04:46):
more than eight points in a game.

Speaker 6 (04:47):
Really.

Speaker 9 (04:48):
Yeah, we saw a touchdown last weekend that.

Speaker 8 (04:50):
Felt boring to us, especially watching boys ball for so long.

Speaker 6 (04:54):
Yeah, it was unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
I mean, this Boysville defense is going to get a
chance here first after the kickoff. They have been quite
the spectacle all season long, and they will certainly be
a tough task here for Colefax.

Speaker 6 (05:07):
As we get ready to go, it'll.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Be Thomas Atelli doing the kicking duties here be for
Boyce Phill. He gets ready to send it away, moving
from left to right. The kick is in the air,
it's high, and it's fielded at about the twelve yard line.
Looks like that is Jeremiah York running to the far sideline.
Looks like he's taken down up past the twenty five
and up to about the twenty seven. That is where

(05:31):
Colefax will take over. Now Colefax own to seven. They
have not scored more than eighteen points in the game
this season as they start things off first and ten
from their own twenty seven.

Speaker 8 (05:42):
And they scored even less than their last game against Cameron,
who also was owen six. Coming into that game, Colefax
own to six going to that game too, lost twelve.
Cameron Coums came out and won twelve to six against Colefax.
There trying to get something more going on the board tonight,
especially on offense.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
So here come the Colfax Vikings. It'll be Austin Peterson.
He looks like he's oh, he will be under center here,
two wide receivers toward the near sideline, one on the
far side, and two backs in the backfield for Colefax.
It'll start off with a handoff and not a whole
lot doing there. As it looks like that'll be Jacob
Walls on the carry and he maybe gets back to

(06:22):
the line. They're gonna call it a loss of one
second and eleven.

Speaker 8 (06:25):
Yeah, and that's a great job by ry Dell on
that outside edge to break down and just blow right
through the block right there. Walls is one of their
best running backs, if not their best running back for Colefax,
and he just got absolutely taken down there.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
So it'll be second and eleven. Peterson still under center,
same formation as last time. Three wide receivers, two running
backs for the vikings. Peterson with a pitch now running
near side his Walls. Walls makes a man mislowers the
shoulder and looks like he looks like he gets back

(06:59):
to the line there. A little east west running brings
up third and long.

Speaker 8 (07:05):
Yeah, and just haven't been able to get really anything
before the line of scrimmats right now. Honestly, it's just
been a lot of Jacob Walls runs and he really
hasn't found any kind of gaps or rooms out there
so far. Boysibol's defense has held strong so far in this,
but that was expected. This is a great defense.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
Oh, it's been two plays combining for a negative one yards.
I guess yard singular plural linguistics is confusing. Peterson will
be under sid Oh, he's in the shotgun this time.
Three wide receivers toward the far side, one man all
alone toward us on the near sideline. It'll be third
and ten from the twenty seven. Peterson fires far side

(07:43):
incomplete tight coverage that time, and it looks like it
was Lexton Bennett's all over the intended receiver there.

Speaker 6 (07:50):
It's fourth and long.

Speaker 8 (07:51):
Yeah, and even if the intended receiver had made that catch,
he would have gone down immediately. Blexton Bennetts had him
completely covered on that far edge and just nothing going
for this Colfax offense tonight.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
So it will be fourth and ten from the twenty
seven and the punt unit comes out here for these
Coalfax Vikings. Looks like it'll be Grant de Moo back
there kicking things away. No excuse me, that's not him.
It is Grant Paulus handling the punting duties. Two men
back at about the thirty five for coal Fax. Lo

(08:23):
snap demo has some trouble with it, he has to
fall on it, and it is spectacular starting field position
here for these Boysville Bulldogs. They'll have it first in
ten inside the twenty.

Speaker 6 (08:35):
Wow.

Speaker 8 (08:35):
That was just not only was it a poor snap,
but it was completely off center from really anyone out there.
The punter was luckily able to get back onto it,
but I just couldn't get that punt off. Just not
enough time there, and Boyefel just doing what Boysville does.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
Boysville's gonna try their hardest to capitalize on this early
coalfax mistake. First and ten from the thirteen here, as
the man of the season Carson Rowld leads his Bulldogs
out there. He's under center, two backs in the backfield
here as they send a man in motion quick handoff
on first and ten that goes to Tucker Linstrom and

(09:11):
he fights forward to about the ten before he's taken
down second down.

Speaker 8 (09:16):
For all the offensive woes that Colefax has had and
have dealt with through most of this season, their defense
has been one of their shining spots, only giving up
a maximum of thirty eight points, giving up thirty eight
points as their biggest margin there on defense, but a
lot better.

Speaker 9 (09:32):
Than we've seen in previous seasons.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Absolutely game if three makes it second and seven, we'll
have more on that after this play here, as Rome
hild is under center, two backs and two wide receivers
on second and seven, it's a completion near side to
land in Leslie. Leslie pushing the pile to about the
five as he's swarmed by white jerseys, and that Colefax

(09:54):
defense you were talking about and you were a part
of quite a few years ago is holding up here.
Dan Gain of five makes it third and two.

Speaker 8 (10:02):
Yeah, and this is their chance to get a good
stop here on Boysville to start off this game. A
couple of yards there. That's kind of what their bread
and butter is, Especially short gains, they've been able to
really make the most of them.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Boyceville has never scored fewer than thirty nine points this season.
Colefax has never given up more than thirty eight. So
something's got to give here. Third and two to nine
minutes to go here in the first quarter, as it
will be a handoff that goes to Zach Hellendrung who
applows through the line and comes just short of the
goal line down at about the one. It'll be second

(10:36):
in goal.

Speaker 8 (10:37):
And that's that's just what they need to keep the
drive alive there. You don't want to have a fourth
down in shorts, especially against the defense that you don't
really aren't really haven't had a lot of experience with
right now and in this Goalfax defense has gotten a
lot better over the season.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
They're gonna call it first and goal now as uh.
It'll be right at the two here for Boyceville. Rome
hild under center, two backs in the backfield, couple tight
ends another toss, this time to Helen Drunk, and he
fights his way forward, lowers the shoulder, and he's into
the end zone for the first Boyceville touchdown of the night,

(11:13):
making it six to nothing with eight twenty seven left
to go here in the first quarter.

Speaker 8 (11:18):
Yeah, and just a great way to capitalize for boys
Feld being able to that's their great running attack, being
able to have a multiple multitude of different players out
there being able to get the ball and just go
for it, especially Zach Hellen Drunk who just absolutely bowls
over the top of people.

Speaker 6 (11:33):
It's a fun running back to watch.

Speaker 2 (11:35):
Here is Thomas Vitelli out there for the point after
attempt romhild will hold. Snap is a little high, brought down,
the hold is good, the kick is up and through
as that will make it seven nothing Boyceville, eight twenty
seven left to go on the first quarter. We'll be
right back here on your home for high school football.

Speaker 1 (11:58):
This is Friday Night Lights on Moose Country one O

hiding your smile, call Affordable Dentires for a free consultation.
Seven point five eight five five one zero two zero.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
It's your home for high school football Moose Country one
O six point seven.

Speaker 6 (12:38):
Welcome back everybody.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
Eight twenty seven left to go on the first quarter,
and Boyceville has taken a seven to nothing lead over Colefax.
Noah Schwartz and Dan Zohon's alongside you hear is cole
Facts getting ready for their second offensive possession.

Speaker 8 (12:51):
Yeah, and they need to have a little bit better blocking,
especially coming from the offensive line, not just on special teams.
That was just a complete That was just a complete
my sap on that punt, but just on offense specifically,
the offensive line needs to find some gaps and let
walls actually get some holes to move in and out of.
He's one of the better running backs that they have
on this team. Is a very fast guy. Is one

(13:12):
of the better running backs in the dun Saint Croix
is just a sophomore, but just you need to be
able to get some kind of room as a running back,
otherwise you're not gonna be able to do much.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
I have a total of zero yards three and out
on their first possession. They'll try and do better this
time as Zach Hellendron kicks it away for Boyceville at
one fielded at about the six yard line. Once again,
it's Jeremiah Yorke on the return, running to the far
sideline and he's taken down just shy at the twenty
five and that's where these coal Fax Vikings will take over.

Speaker 8 (13:41):
Yeah, kind of similar starting field position there. But like
I had said before, I'll reiterate my point, there needs
to be better blocking out there, especially coming from the
offensive line. The running backs have been doing pretty decently
blocking out there, but this voiceful defense, you need to
be blocking perfectly if you want any chance to.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Win, absolutely, and just any kind of positive yardage here
would be something to build on here for Colefax, I'm
sure that's what their coaches and their players are looking for.
Is they start things off first and ten from their
own twenty three two wide receivers toward the near sideline,
as it'll be their quarterback Austin Peterson under center. Two
backs in the backfield as well. You're on first and ten.

(14:22):
It's a quick handoff and plowing forward into the pile
is a running back here for Colefax. Looks like maybe
a gain of one on that one, as it was
Jacob Walls on that carry.

Speaker 6 (14:35):
Second and nine.

Speaker 8 (14:36):
Now, any positive game is a positive game, especially in
a game of yards and inches.

Speaker 9 (14:41):
This has been.

Speaker 8 (14:43):
It's a slow start for sure, but anything to get
some momentum going forward, especially in this offensive drive for Colfax.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Second and nine, they gained a yard. They're at their
own twenty four here with seven forty seven and counting
left to play in this first quarter. Once again Peterson
under center. Once again, he will hand the ball off
and he will.

Speaker 6 (15:04):
Go backwards as Wall.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
Looks like Walls was sent backwards by Helen Drunk third down.

Speaker 8 (15:13):
I'm not one hundred percent sure. I'm gonna have to
see who actually comes back out there, but I'm pretty
sure Grant Damo, one of the younger running our younger quarterbacks,
actually came in for a set there.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
Yeah, definitely was nineteen and not six, So we'll keep
our eyes peeled and see if Demo is out there
here on third down. Kind of tough to see from
our vantage point, but it will be third and twelve
after the loss of three here for coal Facts, a
little problem with the snap.

Speaker 6 (15:41):
It is Demo.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
He's back to pass under heavy drest somehow gets it away,
but that one flutters harmlessly to the turf in between
a couple of receivers, one of whom was Peterson, but
Demo really no opportunity to complete that one. It's fourth
and twelve and it should be another punt here for Colefax.

Speaker 8 (16:00):
Yeah, and Austin Peterson is kind of an all around guy.
He has had some rushing yards and not the best
passing yards in the dun Saint Croix, but he's been
able to kind of do whatever he needs to to
try and get his team a win out there.

Speaker 2 (16:14):
Back to return two players here for Boyceville. That's Leslie
and Rome Hild at about the forty. This time, the
kick is away high and it lands just shy a midfield.
It is taken by one of the up men and
he puts together a decent return there looks like that
was Lexton Bennett's and he gets that nearly to the

(16:35):
forty yard line, so still plus territory here for boys Field, say,
look to extend their seven to nothing lead.

Speaker 8 (16:41):
Yeah, and that was just a great return there by
Bennetts to make something out of what looked like was
almost a punt and or it was a very high punt.
I'm surprised he didn't really get lost in the lights there,
but he's able to corral it and just run forward.
Now they have great starting field position around the forty
and it's gonna be interesting to see what kind of
attack they come out with this time. Mean more of
a running attack that last time.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
I'll be first and ten at the forty two, a
little bit more field to work with compared to last time,
as somewhere about thirty more yards twenty nine. Don't do
math on airs. Rome Hild fakes the handoff on first
and ten. He's under duress, three white jerseys around him,
and he's gonna have to throw that one toward the
Colfax sideline incompletion on first down. Can't complain about that

(17:24):
on defense.

Speaker 8 (17:25):
No, No, that was some great pressure that It was
a different scheme. They kind of had an unblocked player
on that far left side that was able to get
straight at Romhild cause that dress and I mean we've
seen rome Hill get out of the pocket and make
some magic out there. Just couldn't find anyone downfield and
had to throw it away.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Second and ten here for boys Phil, still from their
own forty two yard line.

Speaker 6 (17:45):
Clock stopped.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
It's six forty one left to go here in the
opening quarter, Rome Hild is under center. Looks like an
I formation look for Boysville. Fake handoff again for Rome Hilt.
He's looking deep, throwing deep. That ball is cut Bradley Mays.

Speaker 6 (18:00):
End of the end zone.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
It's a forty two yard touchdown for Priceville and they're
up by two scores midway through the first quarter.

Speaker 9 (18:09):
Wow, just what a throw there.

Speaker 8 (18:11):
I mean, the fake got the entire defense to go
and that you need to really sell that fake if
you're gonna go do a play action like that. Sold.
The fake got all the defensive linemens still thinking it
was a run, and just found his man wide open
deep down the field.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
That was a rainbow to the end zone there from
Rome Hill to Maze, high arching throw and you just
love to see that if you're a fan of offensive football.
So it's thirteen to nothing. Thomas Vitelli out there for
another pat six thirty three left in the opening quarter.

Speaker 6 (18:46):
The snap is down.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
Oh nope, it's a fake and Rome Hill's gonna run
it in for the two point conversion. Fifteen to nothing.
Any thoughts before we send it to break quick?

Speaker 8 (18:57):
That was an interesting player there, especially being up. I
see nothing already, but I guess to try and get
to a point where you have a running clock. That's
how you do it.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
Not bad, you know, Rome Hill getting in on the
two point conversion, and that's where we sit now, fifteen nothing,
six thirty three left to go on the first quarter.
On your home for high school.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
Football, this is Friday night lice on Moose Country one

Speaker 2 (19:57):
Welcome back, Noah Schwartz and Dan Zon's a log side
you boys Field taking a fifteen to nothing lead over
Colefax here six thirty three left in the first quarter
and for the third time, it'll be Helen dro and
kicking it away now, Dan, we talked about this a
little bit here, but Carson Romhild had that forty two
yard touchdown pass to Bradley Mays. He's doing a good

(20:17):
job of staying out of.

Speaker 6 (20:18):
Trouble in the pocket.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
Of course, we saw him last week in Spring Valley
get out of a sack and throw a touchdown that
really put the game out of reach.

Speaker 6 (20:26):
What as we get here ready for this kickoff? It's
a little squib kick and it is fielded at about
the fifteen here by cole Fax up to about the
thirty before the runner is taken down. Looks like the
ball might be out.

Speaker 2 (20:43):
It is recovered by Boysville and the hits just keep
on coming. Dan, I was gonna ask you, what is
having a quarterback like Carson Romhild, meaning to these Boysville Bulldogs,
when he can get out of trouble and make things
happen downfield like that, I.

Speaker 8 (20:58):
Mean, it just opens up the offense because now you
have a dual threat, dynamic quarterback that can not only
take a hit and run through a player, but also
a player that can has kick has returned kickoffs or
touchdowns twice this season. I mean, having a guy that
says dynamic is that can really open up that playbook
and really forces the offense to kind of play very

(21:19):
very carefully because you have to watch and see what
everyone's doing on that line, no matter if it's the
skill player, it's the offensive lineman. Just for any kind
of cues you can get to get an advantage.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
Fifteen to nothing is rome Hilled went in for the
two point conversion. Last time, Boysfield gets the ball right
back thanks to the fumble first and ten from the
thirty two boys fil throws complete once again. It's May's
on the far sideline. Looks like they're going to give
them nine on that one. As May's out of bounds
right toward the sticks. We're gonna have to see where

(21:49):
the spot is but it looks like it will be
second and.

Speaker 8 (21:52):
Short, and so far it's just been a lot of
passing ever since that first drive that got stalled out
for a little bit, but they were able to have
manage to push through did Boyceville. Now they're kind of
really able to find spots all over the defense, just
no one's able to really stick to their player out
there on the Kolpak's defense.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Five point fifty one left and counting here in this
opening quarter, as Rome hild leads the Bulldogs out there,
he's in the shotgun, two backs either side of him,
and the handoff.

Speaker 6 (22:18):
Goes to Helen Drunk.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
He fumbles, that ball is scooped up by land In Leslie,
and Leslie will be down at the twenty. So it'll
be a first down here for Boyceville. Although I'm sure
that's not one that they're going to like to watch
in film.

Speaker 8 (22:31):
Vie no, especially because that was just a straight up
player coming in and ripping that out. That wasn't a
that wasn't a hit, that yard of out. That was
someone that grabbed that ball clean out of Helen Drunk's hands.
And that's one of your big backs too.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
He'll be first and ten. Here ball right at the
twenty yard line for Boyceville as the Bulldogs doing a
good job to get that football back back to pass
is Rome Hild after a high snap, he's gonna roll
out to his left, fakes the throw.

Speaker 6 (23:00):
Oh he is taking down.

Speaker 2 (23:01):
I thought he got out of it, but know he
was dragged down by that back of that shoulder. It'll
be a loss of a couple and second down. Good
showing there from the Colfax defense.

Speaker 8 (23:12):
Yeah, And it's a great job on that defensive end
to not allow Rome Hill to just run.

Speaker 9 (23:16):
Outside the pocket.

Speaker 8 (23:17):
We've seen that so much where he's able to just
kind of sit around and then find that area of
space just outside of the edge. And they close that
down very tightly. And you can tell that was one
of the emphasises in practices for the Colfax defense as coaches.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
Yeah, Rome Hill never let his eyes drop below the horizon.
I guess you might say kept him downfield. But it
is a loss of three on the snack. On the
sack on second and thirteen, it's a little end around
to Leslie and Leslie along the near sideline.

Speaker 6 (23:49):
He's gonna go into the end zone.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
That is another Boyceville touchdown third of the quarter.

Speaker 8 (23:56):
And right now is just the secondary cannot close down
those gas and it's allowing boycefil to just run free
and wild out there whenever they can get that edge,
and that's kind of what they've been able to see
and go around Landon. Leslie just took advantage of that
week defense on the outside edge, but also great blocking
by the wide receivers to be able to manage to

(24:16):
allow that to go downfield. Just a great job by
Leslie and a great job by the wide receivers blocking.

Speaker 2 (24:22):
Twenty one points here so far in the first quarter,
and Boycevil looking to add a twenty second We'll look
out for the fake field goal. I doubt we'll see
it twice in a row though. The snap is down,
the hold is good, the kick is up and through
them from Vitelli, and it is twenty two to nothing,
Boyceville leading Colefax for twenty one left to go on

(24:43):
the first quarter. Here on your home for high school football.

Speaker 1 (24:47):

Speaker 6 (25:27):
Welcome back everybody.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
It's twenty two to nothing boys fil here with four
to twenty one left to go in the first quarter.
Noah Schwartz and Dan Zon's alongside you in this one.

Speaker 8 (25:37):
And it has been a bit of a rocking for
colbacks here down twenty two nothing, but they've showed some
spirits out there, especially when they've gotten a they've gotten
a couple of stops here against boys bel that have
been really uh, kind of what I was talking about before.
That defense has been much improved than it was before
and it's really shown here. But obviously still down twenty

(25:58):
two nothing.

Speaker 2 (25:59):
Yeah, non, i'd as Helen Drunk kicks it away for boys.
Fill that one will be it'll land in about the
twenty it'll go out of bound so, hey, you know
some good starting field position for cole Fax. Let's see
if the Vikings can do something with it exactly.

Speaker 8 (26:13):
And I mean we've seen some flashes here and there
of Colfax being able to do some good stuff on offense,
but just need to have that consistent blocking and especially
if you're trying to especially if you're not consistently blocking
against a defense that's like this one. I mean, you're
gonna have John Madison coming straight through there. Helen Drung
has gotten four sacks on the season. He'll come screeching

(26:35):
right through there. So you really have to really not
only close down those edges, but you have to open
up the gaps in between those defensive linemen.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
Colefax has got it first intent at their own thirty
five back in at quarterback as Paulus he's in the
hope he's back under center as it's two running backs
behind him and three wide receivers, two on the near
sideline here on first intent, Paulus will hand the ball
off and Boyceville was not fooled, and I think it

(27:03):
was it must have been Walls on the carry. And
as soon as Walls got the ball out of Paulus's hands.
He was met by probably five black jerseys.

Speaker 8 (27:12):
It was like a purple wall out there, completely collapsed
over the white the white coalfax.

Speaker 9 (27:18):
While I was insane.

Speaker 8 (27:19):
That is that is a defensive That is a defensive
stop if I've ever seen one, and that defensive line
should be very proud of itself. There getting a massive
stop there on colfax.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
Somehow only a loss of one. So it's second and
eleven here and it will be Peterson once again. He's
in the shotgun, three wide receivers. It's trips to the
left here for coal facts. Peterson g Rolla was left.
Now he's gonna fake the handoff, and hey, it's some
positive yardage for coal facts. As Jacob Walls has got
a first down up past the forty.

Speaker 6 (27:49):
Five to about the forty eight.

Speaker 8 (27:51):
And that was a great, great design play an eight
half back draw that was almost delayed by it felt
like three seconds. I know it was definitely shorter than that,
but it felt like three seconds for how long it
took to give the ball off.

Speaker 2 (28:04):
Yeah, and the fake by Paulis, it looked like he
was gonna excuse me, not by Paulis. By Peterson, it
looked like he was going to roll out to his
left towards those three wide receivers.

Speaker 6 (28:12):
Here.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
It'll be first and ten from their own forty eight
here for Colefax as Peterson now bat oh no, but
it's not Peterson. They've switched back to Grant de Mo,
who fires over the middle complete. Looks like that's Ethan Schindler,
the freshman on the reception. That'll bring up second and
short and for the first time tonight, Colefax as their
offense moving.

Speaker 8 (28:34):
Yeah, all the way into Boyceville territory. Now good, moving
from this Colfax offense. I haven't seen much from them tonight.
Grant to Movo on the season five for twelve twenty
six yards, a touchdown, an interception. He looked like a
gun slinger out there.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
Two thirty eight and counting left to go. Here in
the opening quarter, second and four, de Mo under Durest
fires complete again as that's caught by Peterson, who got
the started quarterback. Looks like that'll be a game of
about two. It'll hang up third and two, and you know,
a really good opportunity for a coal Fax team who
has not won a game since twenty nineteen.

Speaker 8 (29:10):
Yeah, now Peterson. The lone quarterback out there now is
Grant Damo headed back over to that sideline. Just trying
to get a touchdown here on this boysfail team would
be something, but being able to get that next win
would be would be something else.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
You've passed the two minute mark here in the first quarter.
Third and three officially from the cole from the rather
Boyceville forty four for Colefax, it's a pitch to the
left and it looks like that's walls and Walls is
swallowed up. He's not able to get back to the line.
It will be fourth down and Colefax will have to punk.

Speaker 8 (29:45):
Yeah, and they look like they had something going there
with Walls. It looked like there's maybe a little bit
of space for him to do something. But almost as
soon as it like almost as soon as it popped up,
it just collapsed. I mean, that's just what this defense
does all season.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
Very good at collapsing down and taking away these lanes,
these holes for these rushers to get through. It'll be
fourth and sixth from the forty seven and punt formation
here for Colefax. High snap brought down and boot it away.
That'll be a deep punt as that'll be fielded inside
the twenty called for a fair catch by Carson Romhild,
and that is where Boyceville will take over up twenty

(30:23):
two to nothing a minute and nine seconds left. So
I mean that kind of subverts our expectations for this
game a little bit here. As you know, Colefak's able
to put a drive together, able to pin Boyceville back
deep here in the late goings to the first quarter.
What does Colefax have to do defensively to stop this
bulldog offense.

Speaker 9 (30:42):
I mean, we saw a little bit of it.

Speaker 8 (30:44):
You have to get those tricky blitz designs out there
that netted in a sack and then almost netting another
sack of rome Hild in that same drive. But that
those kind of tricky formations are what's gonna really make
a difference here first.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
And ten from the seventeen it's a hand off to
oh fake handoff to Helen Drug. Rome Hill's throwing deep,
but just a little bit too deep. That ball all
the way from about the ten yard line to the
opposite thirty five, but just too far. As it was
both Leslie and looked like Lindstrom in the area, but
in completion second.

Speaker 8 (31:18):
Down, and you got to give credit to this Colfax
defensive line. I mean, that looked like it could have
been a massive touchdown there for Rome Hill, but they
got right into his face and made a difference there
and forced him to get not only get hit, but
throw that a little bit further than he's used to.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
We'll be second and ten still on the seventeen yard
line here for Boysville as they're backed up behind their
own twenty Rome Hill fake handoff. No, it is a
real one. And along the far sideline up to about
the twenty one yard line is the ball carrier for Boyceville.
That's Lexton Bennett's and that'll make it third and manageable.

(31:56):
Looks like they're gonna market about third and five.

Speaker 9 (31:59):
For the big yardages that they've given up.

Speaker 8 (32:01):
I will say when they actually are getting close, they're
getting some good tackles out there. But I mean, this
Voice Bawl offense is so big and is so physical
it's just almost too much to really like. It's too much.
They're asked for consistent tackling because they're just gonna keep
powering through. So you got to really drag them down
by their ankles. Otherwise they're just gonna keep running through
arm tackles.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
Third and four here ball on the twenty three for Boysville.
Two backs in the backfield, his roam hilled is under center.
He fakes two handoffs, stands back in the pocket, looks
deep on corks over the middle, just off the fingertips
of Land and Leslie.

Speaker 6 (32:37):
And about midfield.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
He wanted it, he had some open space, could not
haul it down. It'll be fourth and four in the
clock has stopped with ten seconds left here in the
opening quarter.

Speaker 6 (32:47):
Wow.

Speaker 8 (32:47):
I mean that that looked like it that had touchdown
material all over it and was a pretty on the money,
but just too much of that, too much for Land
and Leslie there, just had a hand on it, just
couldn't really collect crawl it in there. But Rome hilled again.
That's another throw that we've seen that has gone over
as receivers had.

Speaker 2 (33:06):
Now Boysville leading twenty two to nothing. They're backed up
on their own twenty three, fourth and four, but they're
gonna go for it. Colfax is calling time out with
ten seconds left, and we'll keep it here here before
the quarter break. Only ten seconds. But it looks like

(33:27):
somebody up here said that Boyceville was in punk formation.

Speaker 6 (33:30):
I couldn't quite tell. What'd you see on that Dan?

Speaker 8 (33:33):
It really looked like they could have gone either way,
but Colfax was mainly in punt formation with that one.
And even if Boyceville decided to go for it, Colfax
was not ready, as they had one of their men
almost twenty plus yards back ringing to receive a punt.

Speaker 9 (33:47):
But I mean, we've seen this from Boysville.

Speaker 8 (33:49):
They're not afraid to go for it on fourth down
and short here, so I wouldn't be surprised if they
did go for it, especially even if they are on
their own side of the field right now.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
And we'll have to see. I mean we've seen what
this is the third week in row. We're seeing Boyceville.
We saw him once before this stretch too. They're a
team that they're very confident in their offense.

Speaker 6 (34:09):
They like to go for it, so.

Speaker 8 (34:12):
I mean, being six and oh, I mean, who wouldn't
be confident in your offense?

Speaker 2 (34:16):
There absolutely well earned and well deserved confidence for Rome
Hild and company. Really, this whole Boyceville team not a
weakness that you can find. As it is fourth and four,
the two teams getting back out there. The ball is
on the twenty three yard line, got to get to
about the twenty seven for a new set of downs
here for the Boyceville Bulldogs. Fourth and four, looks like

(34:42):
rome Hild is in the shotgun, one back beside him.
Rome Hild's gonna roll to his right. He's got blockers
and he's gonna get it. He's got the first down
and more running along the near sideline out of bounds
past the thirty five to about the thirty seven on
the designed quarterback run and Carson rome Hild showing off.

Speaker 6 (35:00):
The wheels for another Boyceville first down.

Speaker 8 (35:03):
Yeah, and he's one of their top rushers out on
the season too, even at just quarterback. It just shows
kind of what he can really do as a dynamic quarterback.
Not only he's on the special teams seven interceptions on
defense as well. He can really play all over the
field and that's what makes him really dangerous out there.

Speaker 2 (35:22):
Four seconds left first and ten from the thirty six.
As it will be a handoffs, it looks like that
will be Tucker Lindstrom gets maybe back to the sticks,
maybe a little bit further than that, but more importantly
winds the four seconds left on the clock off of
the clock, and that will end.

Speaker 6 (35:41):
The first quarter.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
Our score is Boyceville twenty two and Cole facts. Nothing
will be right back after these messages with the second quarter.

Speaker 6 (36:33):

Speaker 2 (36:33):
You're listening to high school football right here on Moose
Country one O six point seven FM, Moose one O
six dot com and iHeartRadio. Noah Schwartz and Dan Zoon's
alongside you as it is twenty two to nothing, the
number four Boysville Bulldogs leading the winless Coalfax Vikings here
through one quarter.

Speaker 8 (36:52):
Yeah, and so far it's been a lot of Boysville,
not so much Coalfax. But they really picked up steam
here defensively, offensively, got a little bit of a drive
going there, but just couldn't finish it out. Ended up
getting past midfield, got into Boysfuel territory, then got backed
up and had to punt it away. But now Colfax

(37:12):
on the defensive end, they did give up that five
yard run on fourth down. However, they got a good
solid stop on second down, and now you're setting your
defense up for a good good time, especially with a
second and nine coming up here.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
Up second and nine from their own thirty seven Here
for boys Phil as Rome Hill back to pass, looking deep,
throwing deeper far sideline, just a little bit too tall
or owen Ry Dell the tight end he was at
about the twenty five That one will fall incomplete. Now
third and nine, and you look at Boysville on this drive,
they've already converted on a fourth down deep in their

(37:46):
own territory.

Speaker 6 (37:48):
What do you dial up here? Third in law.

Speaker 8 (37:51):
I think right now, I think you try and do
a little bit of trickery, maybe a play action play
here you were able to fool the Colfax defense with
an another play with a different play action play that
really didn't the defensive lineman didn't really see corns kind
of stayed up. If you can do something like that again,
I think that, especially something towards the boundary would be good.

Speaker 2 (38:11):
Third and nine ball on their own thirty seven for Boysville.
It's a toss near sideline and that will be a
gain of about four to the forty five. Looks like
that was andrew Ton mat carry. He gets to the
forty five, it'll be fourth and about two or three.

Speaker 8 (38:29):
Yeah, and we I mean we've seen them go for
fourth and five already here tonight. I don't think they're
afraid to go for it on fourth and three at
the forty five. So I'd expect there at or that
offense to stay out there.

Speaker 2 (38:39):
Damn much closer to midfield here for Boyceville, as can
really smell that line to gain right from here. Fourth
and three, eleven minutes and seventeen seconds left to go
here in the second quarter and Boysville leading Colefax twenty
two to nothing. It is rome Hilled. He's in the
he's under center, two backs behind him. Fake hand off

(39:00):
to Helen Drunk. Now rome Hild's going to roll out
to his right. He's got the first down and a
lot more as he's taken down up past the forty
to about the thirty eight, and that'll be another Boycevil
first down and.

Speaker 9 (39:13):
It seems to be the go to is went in doubt.

Speaker 8 (39:15):
Rome Hild it out and he quite literally ran for
what felt like it could have been maybe even for
a touchdown if there wasn't another safety out there to
stop that play. So just a great job by the
not only the offensive line to really hold the defensive
line from allowing them.

Speaker 9 (39:30):
To get out towards that edge. But he just he's
got wheels.

Speaker 2 (39:34):
Man, hey, he needed three yards and he got a
lot more than that. On another design quarterback keeper for
rome Hild as it'll be first and ten from the
Colefax thirty eight here for Boycevil.

Speaker 6 (39:44):
The snap is high above rome Hild's head.

Speaker 2 (39:46):
Somehow he recovers fires deep down the field, just too
tall for Len and Leslie incomplete on first down. Very
impressive for Carson Romhild to recover that fault. It was
snapped two or th three feet above his head. I
don't know how he brought it down, but we've seen
it a lot tonight. He's just overthrowing his receivers.

Speaker 8 (40:07):
It's it feels like it's a lot of I mean,
he's gotten hit a couple of different times tonight from
Colefax and Boysful usually doesn't allow much in terms of
hits or really quarterback sacks for the most part, So
I think it's just a little bit of trying to
get his groove back out there, because I mean, those
they've been some pre throws. They just really haven't hit
their mark.

Speaker 2 (40:26):
Second and ten after the incompletion clock stopped at ten
to twenty nine left to go here in the second quarter.
Hereas it'll be once again at Rome Hill under center,
two backs in the backfield. I hope he's dumping thinkings
off on a little screen pass. Tucker lives from near
sideline to about the thirty five, stays in bounce and
fights fights forward to about the thirty. It'll be close

(40:49):
to the sticks. We'll see where they mark it, but
I think it will be third down.

Speaker 8 (40:53):
Yeah, it's gonna be close, but just maybe short by
a yard or two out there. And that was a
great job by the voiceful offense, really really finding a
great screenplay to get out to that edge and there
was only one person over on that side completely to
stop there. Just a great job to get up to
there and nearly get that first down.

Speaker 2 (41:13):
Gain of eight on second and ten makes it third
and two here for Boyceville. Ball right at the thirty
yard line, Rome Hill to under center I formation, it's
a handoff to Helen Drum and Helen Drum plowing forward. Well,
he's got the first down and he's up past the
twenty five to about.

Speaker 6 (41:29):
The twenty three.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
That's another Boyceville first down and another new set of
downs for the guys in purple.

Speaker 6 (41:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (41:35):
And Zach Hellendron, what can't you say that he's done
the season three hundred and fifty seven yards on the ground.
That's about six six and a half yards of carry there,
nine total touchdowns rushing. Is that is an offensive skill
player you'd love to have in your backfield.

Speaker 2 (41:49):
Absolutely, He's been a lot of fun to watch this season.
Seasons still going, of course, we've got one more week
of regular season action. And then the playoffs will have
coverage of all those right here on the moose. Is
it his first and ten here from the colfax twenty
three for Boyceville, still leading twenty two to nothing. Rome
Hill back to passing the shotgun, fires far side complete.

(42:11):
That's Leslie and Leslie out of bounds up past the
twenty to about the eighteen, the gain of five or
so second down.

Speaker 8 (42:19):
Yeah, it's just those short gains to really get that
confidence back there in rome Hill. I mean, he's obviously
shaken up with having overthrown a few different players and
trying to get that accuracy back after he just had
a couple of great throws to start off this game
to make it a twenty two to nothing game.

Speaker 2 (42:36):
It'll be second and six game of four officially, and
nothing wrong with the short games like that. Rome Hill
showing his ability to dink and dunk down the field.
Second and six ball right at the nineteen yard line.
Rome Hill under center again as they send Leslie in motion.
This time it is a handoff. Looks like that's Tucker
Linstrom and Linstrom a flag down, but Lindstrom gets up

(43:00):
past the fifteen, stumbles forward to about the ten and
we'll have to see what's what that penalty marker is about.

Speaker 8 (43:08):
I didn't really see this really could have gone either
way because it looked like an offensive line may have
hooked a defender. But it looks like it may be
going back.

Speaker 2 (43:16):
Looks like Boyceville is moving backwards. There'll be a hold
on the offense, so that will be a penalty that'll
back up Boysville. It'll make its second and pretty long here.

Speaker 8 (43:29):
Yeah, and I mean that's what you needed if your
cold facts that you've been allowing multiple bay rushes, big
passes to really take up what It was a great
start for your defense, but now you got to come
back into it with this new loss of yardage.

Speaker 2 (43:44):
Ten yard penalty on second and six makes it second
and sixteen. Here from the twenty six yard line. Rome
Hill barking out the signals, takes two handoffs. Now he's
back deep in the pocket, throws that's complete to Helen Dring.
He's really close to that first down and about the
twelve before he is taken down. We're gonna have to
see where they spot this one. But oh Dan, it's

(44:05):
mighty close.

Speaker 9 (44:06):
It's not very close.

Speaker 8 (44:07):
I think they might give this to him. He's very
he was right there.

Speaker 2 (44:11):
It's hard to tell from our angle, but if you're
asking me, I think he got there. It looks like
they're gonna mark him about a yard short though.

Speaker 8 (44:19):
Oh, now they're gonna move the chains.

Speaker 2 (44:21):
It says first down on the scoreboard and on the down.

Speaker 6 (44:25):
Marker, which is now for the change the movement.

Speaker 2 (44:28):
Now they move him and that is officially now a
Boyce Phil first down.

Speaker 9 (44:33):
Just a little, just a little slow to the party.

Speaker 6 (44:34):
There, we're getting there.

Speaker 2 (44:36):
Seven thirty five in counting left to go here in
the first half, boys PHL leading Colefax twenty two to nothing.
Rome Hild under center, man in motion, fake hand off,
he rolls to his left, Rome Hild looking deep. He's
gonna run it. He makes two men misstays and bounds
on the tightrope inside the five before he's taken.

Speaker 6 (44:56):
Out of bounds.

Speaker 2 (44:57):
And that will be a big game here for boys Field.
And it looks like they'll have it inside the five.

Speaker 8 (45:05):
Yeah, that was a great move there by Rome Hills.
It looked like he was gonna just run straight out
of bounds, but instead pulls up takes a couple of
defenders with them out of bounds, but he was able
to run forward for another extra couple of yards. And
you need that kind of tenasty come playoff time, because
it's gonna be those extra yards that really.

Speaker 2 (45:22):
Matter absolutely, and you know, fighting for those extra yards
never a bad thing in the eyes of players, coaches,
and fans. Oh yeah, I'll call it second and four.
The ball spotted right at the five yard line here
for Boysville is they are knocking on the door of
what would be their fourth score of the night. One
wide receiver all alone on the far sideline. Rome Hill

(45:44):
rolls out there, fires just out of reach. Oh man,
looks like that was Jacobi Kirshner. He was open in
the end zone. And uh, unlike a lot of the
other misses from rome Hill so far, that one really
just a matter of inches outside Kirshner's outstretched fingertips.

Speaker 8 (46:03):
Quite literally, And instead of a six touchdown in the
year for Kirshner on the receiving end, he just missed
it by just a little bit. But that's what they're
trying to figure out right now, is it. Uh, it's
just to get him back into his rhythm, especially come
the next game. If this one doesn't get any closer.

Speaker 2 (46:19):
He'll be third and four from the five here for Boycevil.
Rome hill to under center again. Two backs in the backfield,
two wide receivers, one on either side.

Speaker 6 (46:29):
There'll be a handoff.

Speaker 2 (46:30):
Looks like that's Lindstrom and Linstrom two falls forward into
the end zone and that's another Boyceville touchdown.

Speaker 6 (46:38):
Right now, it is twenty eight to nothing, the six.

Speaker 8 (46:40):
Forty left, and that was just almost a walk up
there for Tucker Linstrom. Just a great job. He's got
such great speed to be able to take off. Obviously
wasn't shown very much there, as it was only a
few yards to get to that touchdown, but even then
you could still see that speed off the line to
really get in there and really accelerate his way all
the way home for another touchdown.

Speaker 9 (47:00):
Twenty eight nothing, boy speil.

Speaker 2 (47:02):
It couldn't get up to full speed, but the quickness
certainly on display is It'll be Thomas Vittelli out there
for the pat trying to make this a twenty nine
point lead.

Speaker 6 (47:10):
Here midway through.

Speaker 2 (47:11):
The second quarter, as Boyceville leads coalfax, the snap is down,
the hold is good, the kick is up and through
Vittelli nails it twenty nine to nuhin. He're Boyceville leading
coalfax On your home for high school football.

Lindstrom makes this a twenty nine to nothing ballgame all
Boysville leading Colefacs. Six point forty left to go in
the second quarter. My name is Noah Schwartz and I'm
alongside Dan Zones. Dan, what are your thoughts through this point?

Speaker 8 (48:23):
I mean, right now, it's a twenty nine to nothing
game for Boys spill. It's there's been some back and forth.
Colefax has had some flashes here and there, but it's
been quite literally all boysful since the kickoff has felt
like and now.

Speaker 9 (48:36):
Here to kickoff again.

Speaker 8 (48:38):
It'll be interesting to see what Colfax tries to run
out with. We saw a lot of Austin Peterson. We
saw a lot of Grant Demo out there. They kind
of come in and out depending on the offensive sets.
But I mean when they had them both there, they
look pretty decent.

Speaker 2 (48:53):
Getting ready for the kickoff here as it will be
Helen Drum kicking in a way another low kick. That
one bounces the thirty five and it is landed on
just past the thirty to about the twenty nine by
one of the special teamers here for COLEFAXX. And now
we saw for the Vikings on their most recent drive

(49:14):
that they were starting to get put something together offensively,
They got up past midfield. What are you looking for here?

Speaker 6 (49:20):
More run? Heavier pass have.

Speaker 8 (49:22):
I honestly like to see them go a little bit
more pass heavy. They've had some chances to really run
with walls, but they haven't really found any gain and
the line has not been consistent enough to really find
those gaps. As they're about to start here.

Speaker 2 (49:36):
First and ten from the thirty yard line. It is
a run and it is well, it's not close. No,
it's just kind of a massive humanity there, and it'll
be a loss of a couple there. For coal Fax
could not even see who got the ball. It was
that much of a swarm of bulldozz.

Speaker 8 (49:54):
I mean it was only a two to three yard
that's about two yard loss. It felt like it was
a five yard loss on that just the way that
the swath of boysful bulldogs just overcame the line certainly deflating.

Speaker 2 (50:08):
Is it's second and twelve now here from their own
twenty seven yard line. Three wide receivers to the right
here as Colefax moves from left to right like you're
reading a book, quarterback in the shotgun. It is demo
once again. They've been switching between the two of them,
and de moo is smothered immediately. It didn't even look

(50:31):
like he had chance to run a fake there. He
tried to pull the play action. I don't even know
if he pulled the football back before he was Smotheredy,
that'll be a three yard loss, compounding that two yard loss.
Now third and seventy.

Speaker 8 (50:46):
And now we're kind of seeing the Bulldogs defense at
full throttle. This is kind of what we're expecting from
a boysful Bulldog defense. But I mean, Colfax's offense there
just really hasn't had any time, especially on the offensive line,
to like you managed to get a snap off.

Speaker 2 (51:02):
Third and seventeen from their own twenty threes. Colefax keeps
going backwards, looks like it's demowing the shotgun again, every
pressure again, throws over the middle of that time complete
as looks like that was Easton Wetland taking that catch
to about the thirty five It will be fourth down,
but that's a gain of about ten or so.

Speaker 6 (51:23):
Not too bad for Colefax.

Speaker 8 (51:25):
No, especially being backed up multiple times and they're puddled
up like they want to go for it here, and
it's actually gonna be pretty close. It might actually be
a fourth and three.

Speaker 2 (51:34):
Fourth and three, fourth and fourth somewhere in there from
the forty four yard line, four thirty eight and counting
left to go here in the first half.

Speaker 6 (51:42):
If you're Coalfax, what do you have to lose here?

Speaker 8 (51:45):
I mean, at this point, just trying to get your
offense going. I think going for it here is the
right move, even if it even if you're giving it
back to Boyceville, you're not giving it back in the
worst territory possible. They've been humbling for a while here.
It's gonna be interesting to see what they have coming
out of this play.

Speaker 2 (52:02):
And it looks like they're going to call time out
here is they were running out a play clock according
to that back judge, But we'll keep it here. Fourth
and four here for Cole Facts. You know, to me,
this is a really interesting spot here in this game.
I mean, you know it is twenty nine to nothing,
still four to fourteen left to go in the second quarter.
But really, Cole Facts, you know, if they can give

(52:24):
Demo or Peterson or whoever they're gonna put at quarterback
on this on this given play, they can give them
time to get the ball out, who knows what could happen.

Speaker 8 (52:35):
I think moving to more short passes, even if you're
having to take a three step drop and just throwing
in as fast and to whoever it is that's even
mildly open down there, I think that's the chance you
got to take. And especially the slant game has been
working for them. I think maybe finding some more slant
plays that can really open up some of their receiver
some of their receivers out there. So I mean, they've

(52:55):
got some good hands. We just saw one of their
wide receivers make great play on the ball, Easton Wedland,
who also plays pretty good defensive back as well. It
made a great catch out there in what looked like
it could have been broken up. So you gotta find
your You gotta find a way to get that ball
out to the skill players. And when you're getting sacked
multiple times in a row, that kind of doesn't really

(53:17):
help the offense there.

Speaker 6 (53:20):
Colfax breaks the huddle.

Speaker 2 (53:21):
It'll be fourth and four right from the thirty seven
yard line, four to fourteen left to go in the
second quarter, and this is a pump formation here for Colefax.
So all that time talking about it, they're just gonna
boot it away. The kick is high and it is deep,
bounces about the forty, rolls past the thirty to about
the twenty five where it comes to rest. Good coverage

(53:43):
on that punt you in there for Colefax. But four
h three left and boys Bill is going to have
a chance to send us one to run time.

Speaker 8 (53:51):
Yeah, they are, and especially with it being already four
minutes to go in the second quarter, it's gonna be
more of an issue for Colefax in the latter how
this game. But for now, if you're Colfax, I think
you need to focus on just getting a stop here
on boys field, just trying to force upon, trying to
force them to not have their.

Speaker 9 (54:10):
Offense on the field.

Speaker 8 (54:11):
Really, because whenever they have that guy roam Hilled out there,
I mean, anything can happen.

Speaker 2 (54:19):
Stop would go an awful long way here for Colefax,
they've yet to get one. So it'll be first and
ten right from the twenty five yard line here for Boyceville.
Stay take over looking for their fifth score on as
many drives will be Rome Hilled, He's under center, two
backs behind him, one wide receiver on the far side

(54:39):
here on first and ten, fake the handoff now he's
under pressure, has to get away, rolls left and throw
us back for Helen Drunk, who.

Speaker 6 (54:46):
Just has to go off of his chest. Tried to
haul that one in.

Speaker 2 (54:50):
He was hit right as that ball arrived, so really
can't fall Zach Helen Drunk on that one. But it
is an incompletion, second down, three fifty six left in
the quarter.

Speaker 8 (55:00):
And again Colfax getting some pressure on Romhill, forcing him
outside the pocket to make a throw from his left
throw from his left side of his body, crossing over
to his right side, and got to give credit to
where it's due. Axton call the sophomore defensive back for Colfax,
not the biggest guy on the field, but he sure
made a play there to make sure that ball didn't
get caught.

Speaker 2 (55:20):
Second down and ten yards to go, three point fifty
six left here in the second quarter. It will be
a hand off to Helen Drunk. This time he doesn't
have to catch it, and he plows forward up past
the thirty to about the thirty two on second down
game about seven maybe eight, they call it and they'll
bring up third and short here for Boysville.

Speaker 8 (55:41):
And Helen Jung. That's what I'm talking about. You cannot
bring that guy down with arm tackles. You've got to
put a shoulder into him. You gotta put your body
into him because he's just gonna go straight through your arms.

Speaker 2 (55:50):
He runs that ball with a lot of momentum, gets
those shoulders down and they say low man.

Speaker 8 (55:55):
Wins kind of reminds you of like a Boysville cam
scatabo out there, right.

Speaker 2 (56:00):
Run third down and one yard to go here, three
seventeen left to go. There'll be a handoff and looks
like that was Tucker Lindstrom.

Speaker 6 (56:10):
Oh, it's gonna be mighty close the line.

Speaker 2 (56:12):
The gain is the thirty five yard line and they're
gonna give it to him.

Speaker 6 (56:17):
All he needed a.

Speaker 2 (56:18):
Yard, got just that and it will be a Boyceville
first down from the thirty five yard line.

Speaker 8 (56:24):
Yeah, and a great first down there Tucker Linstrom again.
He's then really the other side of this dynamic duel
on the offensive in the offensive backfield, just really finding
his stride out there tonight.

Speaker 2 (56:37):
First down and ten from the thirty five yard line,
two forty nine and counting left to go. In the
second quarter, Rome Hill a couple of fakes again, two
guys after him in the pocket.

Speaker 6 (56:47):
He throws.

Speaker 2 (56:47):
That's complete. That is complete to Owen ry Dell. First
down and more up past.

Speaker 6 (56:53):
Midfield up to about the forty six yard line before
he's out.

Speaker 2 (56:58):
Of bounce on the far sideline. That's another boyce phl
first down.

Speaker 8 (57:02):
And I have to look the next time that they
have a snap out there, but it feels like they're
bringing an extra linebacker up to really try and bolster
that pass rush, and that's been really the difference in
trying to get home to Rome Hill.

Speaker 9 (57:14):
But even with.

Speaker 8 (57:15):
That, even with any pressure in his face, the guy
was still able to settle himself down, find his receiver,
get that first down.

Speaker 2 (57:22):
It'll be first and ten. They'll spot it right at
the forty eight yard line here for Boysville. This time,
a little reverse actions helen drunk hands into Leslie. Leslie's
got blockers as rome Hill, the quarterback throws the block
first down and more as landon Leslie down to about
the twenty yard line, that'll be a gain of it
looks like twenty eight for Leslie and another boys.

Speaker 8 (57:45):
Vil first down, and that reverse fooled the entire defense.
It felt like there was only one player that was
able to stop him and he got the tackle right there.
But still just a great job by this offensive by
the offensive coordinator out there drawing up these plays. I mean,
even when they kind of stumbled a bit, they did
what champion or they did what playoff teams do, which

(58:06):
is find a way to get the ball to your
skill player, and they did it there.

Speaker 2 (58:09):
Rome Hill to hell and drunk there to Leslie looking
like tic tac toe. As it is first and ten
from that twenty two Rome Hill back to pass after
a fake steps up, heaves it deep, nobody close to
him in the same zip code. That'll be another Boyce
fl touchdown. I'm trying to catch a number on that receiver.

(58:32):
But then he had a good ten yards to himself
in the end zone and Rome Hilt found him.

Speaker 8 (58:38):
It was like everyone out there thought he was sick.
Great touchdown there on that reception, and I mean, what
can you say? This offense has really found a way
to not only get their skill guys into like these
great scenarios, but also has forced the defense to really
pick and choose where am I going to go cover now?

(58:58):
And they decided the wrong because he is quite literally
wide open the middle of the endz.

Speaker 6 (59:03):
Nobody in the same zip code there. It is thirty
five to nothing.

Speaker 2 (59:06):
The clock will run once we get started after this
pat as the kick is up and through, making it
thirty six to nothing with a minute fifty eight seconds
left to go here in the second quarter, we'll step
aside here on your home for high school football.

Speaker 1 (59:23):
This is Friday night lice on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

Speaker 6 (59:28):
Let's use a football metaphor in your home.

Speaker 8 (59:31):
You're the quarterback, now, who would you want in your
front line?

Speaker 15 (59:34):
Half fault, No, the fearsome four brain, hail, wind and
snow and blow right throw an ass ball line. For
real protection, you want be Yorks Fran metal roofing because
hit after hit, year after year. E Yorks Rand Metal
Roofing will keep you protected with a fifty year non
pro rated and transferable warranty two.

Speaker 6 (59:55):
Three seven twenty six seventy eight.

Speaker 1 (59:58):
It's your home for high school football, Moose Country one
oh six point seven.

Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
It's a thirty six to nothing Boyceville lead over Colefax
and we have received confirmation up here it was Owen
Ry Dell all alone in the end zone on that
fifth touchdown of the night for the Boyceville offense, fifth
touchdown of the first half. And so it will be
running clock here from this time forward unless Colfax can

(01:00:24):
put something together here in the final two minutes of
the first half.

Speaker 8 (01:00:29):
Yeah, they've had some decent drives that have really stalled out,
but they had some sparks to really get them going
in the game. Just nothing really consistent, nothing really being
pushed downfield. For Colefax, they had some great success with
those passing games, but you need to also be able
to block with that too.

Speaker 2 (01:00:47):
Getting ready to kick it off hell and drunk boots
it deep from right to left. That'll be fielded at
about their own ten. Little reverse on that one for Colefax.
Oh fake reverse fooled me as it is cole Parzik
getting up past the twenty five to about the twenty
six yard line before he's out of bounds on the
far sideline. It'll be first intent here in the clock

(01:01:09):
is running thanks to that thirty six point difference, and.

Speaker 9 (01:01:12):
That's kind of someone that I'd like them to see
go get the ball to more.

Speaker 8 (01:01:16):
Cole Parzik on the season twelve receptions, one hundred ninety
four yards and two touchdowns, leads the team and receiving touchdowns.
That's a guy you want to get out there in
space more often. But we haven't really seen his number
called too much so far this game.

Speaker 2 (01:01:29):
It'll be first and ten from their own twenty six
here for the Colefax Vikings. Two wide receivers toward the
near side, two backs in the backfield and the quarterback
under center, So it looks like it's demo to start
off this drive. It's a handoff and not a whole
lot there back to the line if anything. Second down, Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:01:48):
And that's kind of the start that we've seen from
the last few drives from Colefax. It's felt like I'll
run up the middle, and nothing's been going for them
up the middle, but towards those edges have netted in
a little bit of a better, better offensive game for them,
depending on who the skill player is.

Speaker 9 (01:02:04):
But we've yet to see them go back out towards.

Speaker 2 (01:02:06):
That edge inside of forty seconds left to go is
it'll be second and ten, so they'll say the ball
carrier did get back to the line of scrimmage there
For Colfax, looks like it is still dem out there.
He is under center, two backs, three receivers, two on
the near side. Here for the Colefax vikings on second

(01:02:27):
and ten, it's another handoff and another short game. Looks
like that was Paulus on the carry.

Speaker 6 (01:02:33):
Maybe a yard that time though as hell and Drug
makes the tackle and with ten seconds left to go
in the half, it looks like that might be all
she wrote.

Speaker 8 (01:02:42):
Then I think so too, especially with how how this
offensive game has been going for Colefax.

Speaker 2 (01:02:48):
Here it will be and that will end the first half.
So here's your score at halftime. Stop me if you've
heard this one before. Boyceville thirty six nothing here through
two quarters, Dan before we send it to the halftime show,
any final thoughts to wrap this one up?

Speaker 8 (01:03:07):
Yeah, I mean, this has been a fun game, more
for Boysville than it has been for Colfax. But even
Colfax has gotten some flashes here and there of especially
on that defensive line. I feel like they've gotten some
good chances, good stops here and there. But it's been
all Boysville. It's quite literally been all Boysville, and especially

(01:03:27):
seeing Rome Hill to get his groove back in this
in the same game and quite literally just a quarters.
It's been interesting to see and it's been a fun
watch so far.

Speaker 6 (01:03:37):
Absolutely well.

Speaker 2 (01:03:38):
Thirty six points in the first half, that's certainly nothing
to sneeze at. And we'll have your full halftime show,
some out of town scores and what you can expect
next week. Right after this, you're on your home for
high school football. Moose Country one O six point seven.

Speaker 1 (01:03:53):
It's your home for high school football, Moose Country one
O six point seven.

Speaker 2 (01:03:58):
Welcome back everybody, and the halftime show here on your
home for high school football, Moose Country one oh six
point seven FM and iHeart Radio. No Schwartz and Dan
z On's alongside. And we're just past the eight o'clock hours,
so we'll get you a station identification or listening to
high school football right here on Moose Country one oh
six point seven afm W A t Q Shoud tech O, Claer,

(01:04:20):
Chip Will Falls Menominee on iHeart Radio station. I think
we covered our bases there.

Speaker 9 (01:04:26):
I think so too.

Speaker 6 (01:04:26):
Well, let's get to the game at hand.

Speaker 2 (01:04:28):
Is at the half it is a thirty six to
nothing lead for Boyceville over Coalfax. Then, you know, there's
been a lot to talk about in this one.

Speaker 6 (01:04:37):
Where do you want to start?

Speaker 8 (01:04:39):
Well, we could start from the beginning if you really
want it to up to you, I'm leaving that to you.

Speaker 6 (01:04:44):
Man.

Speaker 8 (01:04:46):
Well, I mean, so far in this game, we've seen
a lot of wasteful action for the most part, but
for the Colfax side of things, there really hasn't been
all that much. We have the defensive line that's really
been able to find a way to get so stop.
But for the most part Voiceville, they find they get stopped,
but they recuperate and they find their way to go again.

Speaker 9 (01:05:07):
And that's just kind of what we've seen.

Speaker 8 (01:05:08):
Rome Hills, he's he had a couple of stretches where
he was overthrowing his receivers, under throwing his receivers, couldn't
really find his groove out there, and almost resulted in
a couple of fourth downs that could have been punts
if it were any other teams. But Boysvill went for
it and Rome Hill was able to find his way,
find his dude, find his confidence back out there and

(01:05:28):
really has thrown it. He has almost He has over
twenty touchdowns now passing on the season. Twenty touchdowns passing
on the season. No one's even close. In the Dun
Saint Croix.

Speaker 2 (01:05:38):
He is unbelievable to watch week in and week out.
You know, the first time we were here, that rainstorm
must have been about a month ago.

Speaker 9 (01:05:46):
I'm not sure what week time fliesmen, you're having fun, it's.

Speaker 2 (01:05:49):
Certainly a lot of fun. But at rainstorm game, you know,
we thought it was a fluke. He had what three
touchdowns on offense, had another one on defense, and another
on special teams. He's like that week in and weak out,
and you know, it's really been special to watch.

Speaker 8 (01:06:03):
It really has been. And he's really showed out here
tonight as well too. And I think also something to
touch on is just his leadership ability with his guys.
He takes accountability for his own He was shown out there.
He wasn't he didn't have his head down when he.

Speaker 9 (01:06:18):
Made some of those poor throws.

Speaker 8 (01:06:19):
He had, kept his head high, was rallying around with
his teammates and was communicative. And that's what you want
a leader. That's what you want a quarterback too. And
you can attest the success here from this team to
not only their signal caller, but also the communication that
happens with all their offensive linemen, all their defensive linemen,
and really all over this team. It's something that they've

(01:06:40):
really preached out there, and you can really see it
in action if you look really closely at just the
players out there and how they talk to each other.

Speaker 2 (01:06:47):
Absolutely well. I know that the out of town scoreboard
is not cooperating with you. I know you've got one there.
Perhaps you'd like to share.

Speaker 9 (01:06:55):
Yeah, I'll share with the class right now.

Speaker 8 (01:06:59):
So Mondovi right now currently up fourteen to six on
elk Mound, Mondovi being on the ranked number four team
right now in that clover Belt conference, in that division
two or in the same division as well, I should say,
and elk Mound just not really being the team they
had been in years past, but keeping it close with

(01:07:19):
Mondovi right now is still an eight point game with
through about three minutes ago in their second quarter. We're
already in the halftime, but they still got a whole
four minutes to go. Just looking around at that, and
I mean, that's gonna be a fun That's gonna be
a fun team to watch also come playoff time, as
Mondovi and another.

Speaker 9 (01:07:36):
Team that boys will probably have to watch out.

Speaker 8 (01:07:38):
For coming up, considering how close these conferences are to
each other and how they will end up playing each other.
More than likely we only got.

Speaker 2 (01:07:46):
To see them one time this year, but Mondovi's certainly
a powerhouse. And of course regis going to be in
that conversation too, will be with them next week. I
can see you're trying to get that false fall pretty score.
The stream is not cooperating with you.

Speaker 8 (01:08:00):
Stream is not going well for me over here, try
trying to get this thing to load. But I will
say that Regis Mondovi game that was also a fun
one as well, where Regis was able to somehow manage
to get their their way back into the game and
also win it on a Hail Mary too. And I
mean that's exactly what kind of playoff football that we're
expecting from not only the teams in the area here,

(01:08:21):
but also for teams that Boycevill is gonna have to
face going forward more than likely. And I mean, you
got to you gotta come out there with your big
boy pants on, because it's gonna be a really rough
game no matter which one of these teams you have
to play against.

Speaker 6 (01:08:34):
It's playoff time.

Speaker 2 (01:08:35):
It's gonna be a lot of fun around these parts.
But we've still got one more week of the irregular
season coming at you, and uh, we'll we'll take you
through that here of course, Boyceville. Next week they will
round out the regular season at Turtle Lake and then
right here on the Moose will have not one, but
two high school football games for you. First on Thursday night,

(01:08:56):
it'll be a Neilsville and uh, you'll excuse me, Neilsville
Gatton at Regis over at Carson Park and Oa Claire.
We'll have that game for you with the great, the
legendary Pekin Newtson on the call alongside this. We're looking
forward to that one, and then the next day a
week from right now, Friday at seven, we'll round out

(01:09:16):
the series the regular season, I should say, as Spring
Valley takes the trip up to Colefax, Dan's hometown. So
we're looking forward to that here next week. Any final
thoughts before we send it to the third quarter.

Speaker 8 (01:09:30):
No, I mean, there's been highlights from both sides. Colfax
has really had their chance out there. But Boyce bel Man,
this is a whole other team. This is a whole
team trying to make it to the playoffs.

Speaker 6 (01:09:40):
Now.

Speaker 8 (01:09:40):
It's a hard team to play against if your Colfax
trying to rebuild this program. But it's been a fun
game so far.

Speaker 6 (01:09:47):
A lot of fun.

Speaker 2 (01:09:48):
It is thirty six nothing at halftime. We'll be back
with you in seven minutes. Right after these messages, you're
listening to high school football on Moose Country one O
six point seven at iHeartRadio.

Speaker 1 (01:10:00):
This is Friday Night Lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven. It's your home for high school football
Moose Country one O six point seven.

Speaker 6 (01:10:11):
Hi, everybody, welcome back.

Speaker 2 (01:10:12):
We're ready for the second half here in Boysville as
the fourth rank Boyceville Bulldogs.

Speaker 6 (01:10:18):
Undefeated on the season. Well, it's not good, Hi.

Speaker 2 (01:10:23):
It's good from Boysville, but if you're from Colfax or
if you were tuning in hoping for a more competitive game,
it's not great news as it is thirty six to
nothing at the half. No, Schwartz and dan Zon's alongside
you here for the remainder of this one, as it
will be a running clock of course, and uh as
has been the story all year with these Boysville Bulldogs.

Speaker 6 (01:10:45):
This is our third game in a row for boycevild Man.
They have been unstoppable on both sides of the of
the of the ball.

Speaker 8 (01:10:52):
Yes they have, and it has not stopped at all tonight.
In fact, Colfax's even when they're getting some stops, they
still can't really stop them because they'll still go for it.

Speaker 9 (01:11:01):
On fourth down.

Speaker 8 (01:11:02):
They're so confident in their team too. And yet I
love to have that kind of confidence if you're a coach,
Oh yeah, to be able to have your team out
there and just think, yeah, no, we can still get
this on fourth down. Most other coaches are gonna be like, Okay,
we might have to look around and see what kind
of situational if it's the right situation to.

Speaker 9 (01:11:21):
Go for it on fourth down, they just go for it.

Speaker 8 (01:11:24):
They were at their own They were at their own
twenty five yard line, fourth down and five. Most coaches,
that's an automat punt, doesn't matter who you're playing. This
coaching staff is believes in so much in their quarterback,
believes so much in their offense, their offensive line, the
defensive line that they think, even if we did screw up,
and even if we did give it back to them,
we know we can get that ball back. And you

(01:11:45):
gotta love having that kind of confidence.

Speaker 2 (01:11:47):
I'm sure what is now a five score lead on
the scoreboard scoreboard has a little bit to do with that,
but really, all season long, Boysville has been showing that
they are a championship caliber football team, especially led by
their quarterback Carson Romhild, who has been excellent tonight. Three
touchdowns for him in the first half.

Speaker 8 (01:12:04):
Yeah, and that's going to add to his already stellar
passing touchdowns. He's I added two on the season night,
or he had nineteen coming into this game. Now twenty
two for him. He could be on the road to
twenty five here in this next game if he keeps
up the same momentum. And I mean, that's some historic
stuff that you like to see.

Speaker 2 (01:12:22):
Absolutely, speaking of history for this boys field team, for
the games that we've seen, they've usually get their starters
out there one series into the second half before arresting
them with the big lead.

Speaker 6 (01:12:34):
We should expect to.

Speaker 2 (01:12:35):
See that again here tonight, as they will be receiving
the second half opening kickoff and Colefax just get just
about getting ready to boot it. It will be from
right to left once they break the huddle.

Speaker 8 (01:12:46):
It'll be interesting to see if they try and do
a last gasp type of effort and try to maybe
kick an on side kick here and try and recover it.
I've seen crazier things happen coming out of a half,
but I don't think Colfax would even be that crazy
to try and attempt something like that.

Speaker 2 (01:13:01):
Well, for years, the biggest comeback in the history of
the National Football League was a thirty five to three
deficit come back by the Buffalo Bills in the nineteen
ninety two or ninety three AFC wild Card game. It
has since been surpassed by that one team out in
that state to the west of us.

Speaker 9 (01:13:19):
That we won't mention also happened to be Vikings too.

Speaker 6 (01:13:23):
Yeah, that was against the Colts. That was a fun
game unless you're a Packer fan like us. But so
we're saying that Colefax not out of the woods here yet.

Speaker 8 (01:13:34):
There's plenty of football to be played. There's still two
full courters. Even with the running clock, you're still never
out of it until you're out of it.

Speaker 2 (01:13:41):
Any given fridays. Colfax now ready to boot it away.
The kick is high in the air and that will
land at about the thirty eight a Boysville bounce and
it's fielded on the run, pushing up to the forty
nearly to the forty three. As it looks like that
was landing Leslie on the return. Once again, it will
be good starting position here for Boyceville.

Speaker 8 (01:14:02):
Yeah, and just some great moves up front to really
come down with that ball, because a lot of the
times when you have a when you have a football
bounce kind of in between a bunch of players, usually
most people are gonna be like, where do.

Speaker 6 (01:14:14):
We go from here?

Speaker 8 (01:14:15):
Who goes and grabs this football? They immediately had their
returners out and ready to go, ready to grab that.
But here, Boysville, is this ye your chance to really
put the game away? To say we're in the second
quarter right now, it's crazy to say third quarter. Excuse me,
third quarter, second half.

Speaker 9 (01:14:32):
I should say.

Speaker 2 (01:14:32):
Clock's still running though. Eleven minutes and twenty one seconds
now left to go in the third quarter. As Boyceville
takes over, it'll be Rome Hilled in the shotgun, two
running back running backs either side of them. Hill rolled
to was right, looking deep, throwing deep, Helen drunk making
the catch.

Speaker 6 (01:14:48):
Did he bring it down?

Speaker 2 (01:14:49):
Yes?

Speaker 6 (01:14:50):
He did? That'll be a big.

Speaker 2 (01:14:52):
Boysville first down as Helen drung the wide receiver at
about the thirty two yard line had just caught that
one as it.

Speaker 6 (01:14:59):
Fell and trapped it before it hit the turf. First
down Boysville.

Speaker 8 (01:15:04):
Yeah, and a good connection there. We're finally seeing some
Carson rome Hill's pretty dynamic throwing patterns out there and
looking at the Colfax defense. They sent almost all in
the linebackers up for a blitz there and still able
to hold on type was that offensive line and able
to get that first down.

Speaker 2 (01:15:20):
It'll be first and ten from the colfax. Thirty three
here for Boysville. Three down linemen for the Vikings, as
it's say, run to Helen Drunk and Helen Drunk fighting
forward to about the twenty five yard line. Mighty close
to that line to gain. We're gonna have to see
where they spot it, but it looks like they're gonna
call that a gain of eight and it'll bring it

(01:15:42):
up second down.

Speaker 8 (01:15:43):
Yeah, great chunk yardage there to really pick up some
more to really keep the offensive drive alive there, especially
just some slow, small chunk yardage. I mean, that's kind
of their go to here is Boysville. But that massive play.
I'm still reeling over that great throw from before.

Speaker 2 (01:16:00):
Rome hild is in the shotguns, still two running backs
beside him. Now Hill Rolleda was left on second and two,
looking deep, throwing towards the end zone. Flag down, and
that one just too far out of reach of Hell
and Drum. But that flag around the line of Scrimtge.
We're gonna have to see what this call will be.
I would guess that it would be a holding call.
We've really only seen one flag in this game, and

(01:16:23):
that will be a ten yard holding call against Boyceville,
making it second and twelve.

Speaker 8 (01:16:28):
Yeah, I was gonna say a relatively clean game from
both sides, even though two flags really total of this
game have been on Boyceville. But I mean that just
shows their tenacity out there as well. But now, if
you're Colfax, you got to take advantage of this ball
getting backed up, especially after they've had multiple chunk gains
as to start off this drive.

Speaker 2 (01:16:49):
Second down and twelve ball at the Colfax thirty five
here for Boyceville. Once again, they go with that same
formation as it'll be Roam Hild in the shotgun, two
backs beside him, two wide receivers on the near side,
but they hand the ball off to Tucker Linstrom.

Speaker 6 (01:17:04):
Lindstrom running to his.

Speaker 2 (01:17:05):
Left, gets close to that thirty yard line and it
looks like it will be a gain of about five,
making it somewhere around third and eight.

Speaker 8 (01:17:15):
And yeah, that was just a great job there to
get some kind of yardage, but just not enough there.
Colefax really kind of held their ground on that one.
And now you got a third down and long here
to go, and kole Fax, this is your chance to
get a stop in this game.

Speaker 2 (01:17:29):
Colefax needs one of those in the worst way. Eight
twenty three and counting left to go in the third
quarter as Boysville leading Colefax thirty six to nothing. Third
and nine for boys Phil from the Colefax thirty one
got the gotta get the ball up to about the
twenty four yard line. Is romhilled and the shotgun fires.

Speaker 6 (01:17:48):
That one was tipped.

Speaker 2 (01:17:49):
It is caught and it looks like that's owen Ry
Dell on the near sideline, caught and then absorbs a
big hit, but he hangs.

Speaker 6 (01:17:56):
On to the football. Looks like it's gonna be fourth
down and it will be fourth and four.

Speaker 9 (01:18:02):
And that was a good stop right there.

Speaker 8 (01:18:04):
They couldn't really find anything out on that outside edge.
Great coverage there by the Colfax defenders. But here we
are on another fourth down again and I think we
already know what's gonna happen.

Speaker 6 (01:18:14):
Yeah, Well, they've gone for it what twice?

Speaker 9 (01:18:16):
Twice?

Speaker 8 (01:18:17):
Now I think they're made it two times?

Speaker 2 (01:18:18):
Yeah, gotta start writing these things down. Here is it's
seven thirty three and counting left to go in the third,
fourth and three here for Boysville, Rome Hill's in the
he's under center, two backs behind him. He'll fake the
handoff run to his left. He's got an unblocked man,
but he throws just behind the open Owen Rye Dell,

(01:18:40):
who had that one go.

Speaker 6 (01:18:41):
Off his hands.

Speaker 2 (01:18:42):
But it looked like Rome Hill kind of threw that
one to the wrong shoulder incomplete on fourth down.

Speaker 6 (01:18:47):
And there's that stop you were looking for there for Colefax.

Speaker 8 (01:18:51):
And that's at least something to take out of this
game if you're a coal Fax, because I mean, the
score is obviously not where you wanted to be. Down
thirty six nothing now, but you got to stop on
one of the best off This is honestly probably the
best offense in the dun Saint Croix.

Speaker 9 (01:19:03):
There's a time out by the official.

Speaker 6 (01:19:05):
Looks like we've got an officials time out here. I'm
not sure what that's about, as I think they're trying
to figure out where they're going to spot this ball.

Speaker 8 (01:19:18):
Oh yeah, I think they're getting the trainer over to
the other side of the field. They looked like Austin
Peterson may have walked off with something, but I'm not
really sure.

Speaker 2 (01:19:28):
All the trainer has made their way across the field
and We're very thankful for them.

Speaker 6 (01:19:34):
As we get back ready to go.

Speaker 2 (01:19:36):
Six minutes and fifty two seconds left to go, it
will be first and ten.

Speaker 6 (01:19:40):
Here for cole Fax.

Speaker 2 (01:19:41):
A little pitch, the most pitch is behind the runner
and that is a loose ball.

Speaker 6 (01:19:46):
Looks like cole Fax was able to fall on that,
but that's a loss of a boat load. Then your
head was in your hands for a second there. What'd
you see?

Speaker 8 (01:19:55):
I mean, it just looked like the ball got snapped
and no one really knew where it was gonna end
up at the point. But uh just got a great
job to get back onto the ball because that looked
like it was a touchdown. That was my main reason
was like, oh wow, they act that actually just happened.
But no, we're able to get back on the ball
and you'll live to fight another day. It's backed up
to second and twenty one now, but this is your

(01:20:17):
chance to really come back from.

Speaker 2 (01:20:18):
This loss of eleven that time for Colefax, of course,
winless since Dan's last season back in twenty nineteen. Second
and twenty one here for the Vikings and the shotgun.
It looks like it's Demo he is back to pass.
Looks far side. That one is tipped by Landon Leslie
deep in coverage for Boyceville.

Speaker 6 (01:20:39):
That will make it third and twenty one.

Speaker 9 (01:20:41):
Now, yeah, just really nothing too far down the field there.

Speaker 8 (01:20:44):
I mean they haven't really been able to get a
three step drop there for granted, because as soon as
he stopped his steps back, it's almost a sack immediately.
But this is your chance to really get that protection
up front and then find someone down the field.

Speaker 9 (01:20:59):
You have playmakers that have already made some plays this game.

Speaker 8 (01:21:03):
It's about finding those skill players outside of the boundaries.

Speaker 2 (01:21:08):
Five minutes and twenty seconds left to go on the
third quarter, still third and twenty one, coal Fax backed
up to their own fourteen demo is gonna roll to
his right try and escape. That one fired towards Grant Paulus,
but towards his ankles. He could not bring it in incomplete.
Fourth and twenty one from the fourteen yard line, and
I would be shocked.

Speaker 6 (01:21:28):
If they don't punt.

Speaker 8 (01:21:30):
That would be the biggest surprise of this game so
far if they did not fund it from here. But
just nothing going for them on or for Coalfax on offense.
Every single time they kind of get a stop or
get some kind of a good start on the offense,
whether it be on special teams, whether it be on
the defense, just cannot take advantage of it so far.

Speaker 2 (01:21:50):
It's a tough thing to deal with here if you're
coal Fax. But you know it's just a matter of
keeping your head up at this point with this thirty
six point deficit, coal Facts ready to punt it away.
The two returners deep for Boysville, still on this side
of the fifty as they're punting from their own fourteen,
the punters standing behind his own goal line. It's a

(01:22:11):
high snap but gets it away. Loan line drive kick
bounces at the forty that will be fielded here for
Boysville by Land and Leslie, and Leslie's got a full
head of steam in some blockers. He gets that one
inside the thirty to the twenty five. There is a
flag down though we'll have to see what that penalty
marker is.

Speaker 8 (01:22:31):
Kind of blends in the field there, Yeah, just to sign.

Speaker 2 (01:22:34):
A good turf though exactly good natural grass, of course,
but you know that's turf too. It will be a
Boysville holding penalty. That'll be a loss of ten yards
for them, and it'll be first and twenty from wherever
they spot it.

Speaker 8 (01:22:51):
And then this just backs them up. But really it's
still a good starting field position if you're boys fil
because I mean you're gonna more than likely be starting
at just seeing where they market. They're gonna start it
kind of close towards the midfield.

Speaker 9 (01:23:03):
Marker forty three of the Vikings forty three.

Speaker 2 (01:23:08):
Now it'll be first and ten from the cole Facts
forty three here for Boyceville. They're gonna call it first
and ten. They're just going to go from that line
of scrimmage here three zero eight and counting left to
go here in the third quarter, as Rome Hill leads
the Bulldogs out there again.

Speaker 6 (01:23:30):
Will be a quick toss. That one is a carry.

Speaker 2 (01:23:32):
Looks like it's Tucker Lindstrom along the near sideline, Lindstrom
up past the years thirty five to about the thirty
three yard line.

Speaker 6 (01:23:41):
Mighty close. It'll be second and short.

Speaker 8 (01:23:43):
Yeah, and Linztrum is gonna get some more touches going
forward here now, especially with the score being as it is,
and he's had a good season so far. To the
sophomore thirty carries two and forty yards about eight yards
of carry, very good stats. Out there, but then also
four touchdowns too on the season.

Speaker 2 (01:24:01):
Gain of eight there for Lenstra makes it second and
two here for Boysville two twenty in counting left to
go here in this third quarter, as rome Hild is
under center again, two backs in the backfield behind him,
looks like they're content to keep this ball on the ground,
but rome Hild has other ideas.

Speaker 6 (01:24:19):
Play fake.

Speaker 2 (01:24:19):
He throws wide open complete his land and Leslie first
down and more as he's taken out of bounds right
around the ten yard line.

Speaker 6 (01:24:26):
That is another Boyceville first down.

Speaker 8 (01:24:30):
And just finding all kinds of gaps out there, especially
in the zone they've mainly ran them. They've made They've
been running linebacker blitz a lot of the time there
and that's resulted in zone coverage for these defenders, but
just not able to keep up with whoever they're whoever's
in their zone is Colefax's defensive backs, and that's really
what's been the main problem of the defense so far.

Speaker 2 (01:24:53):
First and goal from the nine here for boys Phille.
They're still leading cole Fax thirty six nothing about ninety
seconds to go here in the third quarter. This time
it's a handoff Zach Helen Drunk, pushing forward to the
full head of steam, stays on his feet. It takes
about five Colfax vikings to take him down as he
is brought down at the four second in.

Speaker 8 (01:25:14):
Goal and it's just some great chunky yards there for
that big man, Zach Helen Drunk, just able to move
the pile got stuffed up there a little bit, but
I mean that's just kind of what he does. He
just move. He just moves piles and trying to get
that tenth touchdown on the season.

Speaker 2 (01:25:30):
Now, I gotta tell you it's fun to watch, you know,
ground and pound my kind of football. Second and four,
inside of a minute left to.

Speaker 8 (01:25:38):
Go time, Flaisterer, you're having fun. Didn't even realize is
that close to the end of the third quarter?

Speaker 2 (01:25:43):
Man ball control, running the clock, field position, game, all
keys here for Boysville. It's back to pass his Roam Hill.
He's under some duress. He's gonna roll out to his right,
he might keep it himself, moves to his left, skips
a little, and he's into the end zone for another
Boyceville touchdown on Carson rome Hill who else?

Speaker 9 (01:26:03):
Who else?

Speaker 8 (01:26:05):
Oh, but it looks like there's a flag down the
field and it's going back against Boyceville.

Speaker 2 (01:26:11):
I take it back, didn't quite see the signal, but
I did see that signal that it was against Boyceville.

Speaker 6 (01:26:18):
I think they're gonna call this a personal foul.

Speaker 8 (01:26:20):
Potential face mask there. I didn't see it on that side, but.

Speaker 6 (01:26:27):
I'll take the referees word for it, that's for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:26:29):
So we'll have to take that touchdown off the board
for Boyceville and off of the statuteet for Carson rome Hild.
But now it'll be second in goal backed up all
the way to the fifteen here for Boyceville.

Speaker 8 (01:26:41):
And now if your colfax is your second chance here
to really get a stop at the goal.

Speaker 2 (01:26:45):
Goal to go Leslie in motion fake handoff. Now they
hand it off to Lindstrum and Lindstrom falls forward. He's
to about the ten. Makes it still a third and
goal at the ten and another flag down right about
the ten yard line between the two teams. The clock
is still running it it has hit triple zeros here

(01:27:06):
in the third quarter, and it's against Boyceville.

Speaker 6 (01:27:08):
Again.

Speaker 2 (01:27:09):
It's an unsportsmanlike conduct call. Wow, are they gonna have
an untimed down at the end of this quarter, we'll
see that they might have one. It will be a
fifteen yard penalty triple zero showing on the clock once
again your score Boyceville thirty six and coal facts.

Speaker 8 (01:27:29):
Nothing seems like Boycevil's walking off now, So I don't
think they're gonna have an untimed down now.

Speaker 2 (01:27:35):
Yeah, they will spot the ball at the twenty five.
So first in a mile or excuse me, third and
a mile on third and goal when we come back.
The fourth quarter is next here on your home for
high school football.

Speaker 1 (01:27:47):
This is Friday night lights on Moose Country one oh
six point seven.

Speaker 10 (01:27:52):

the days of hiding your smile, call Affordable Dentures for
a free consultation seven one five eight five five one
zero two zero's You're home.

Speaker 1 (01:28:24):
For high school football Moose Country one zero, six point seven.

Speaker 6 (01:28:28):
We've reached the fourth quarter here in this one.

Speaker 2 (01:28:30):
My name's Noah Schwartz alongside Dan Zones, and Boyceville is
beating up on Colfax by a score of thirty six
to nothing.

Speaker 8 (01:28:38):
Yeah, and it has been not so if you're a
cool Fax man. Has not been a fun time to
watch out there. However, they've gotten some stops here and there.
Getting that fourth down stop men a lot. But also
looking at some of the out of town scoreboards right now,
I mean it's a lot different than what we're seeing
here because there's been a lot of close ones at halftime.
Ossio up fourteen to eight on Nilsville, Mondovia fourteen to
six on Elk Mount already said that one at the right.

(01:29:00):
DC Everest up fourteen to seven over Spash. You also
have North up twenty one or tie twenty one twenty
one with marshfield goal, and scha Tek is tied six
to six with Cadat And those are your out of
town scoreboards.

Speaker 6 (01:29:13):
Many thanks Dan.

Speaker 2 (01:29:14):
It will be third end goal from the twenty five
as boys fil got into the end zone. But now
then three straight penalties just backing them up further and further.

Speaker 6 (01:29:24):
But the way this boysfuel team.

Speaker 2 (01:29:26):
Has played, not just tonight, but this season, it doesn't
feel like this one is out of range yet.

Speaker 8 (01:29:31):
No, no, it doesn't get out of range until that
fourth down marker has to get turned over to a
first down marker. This this team is, it can be
hard to stop them, especially when you have it's so
close to the goal line, because they have so much
different techniques that they go and put out there.

Speaker 2 (01:29:48):
Leslie in motion on third and twenty five, Rome Hill
rolling to his left, throws flag down again. Leslie wide
open at the ten, makes a move at the five
and into the end zone. But we'll have to check
on that penalty marker. Leslie into the end zone for
what is for now a Boyceville touchdown.

Speaker 8 (01:30:07):
I think they're gonna get the tackle again on another.

Speaker 6 (01:30:09):
Hold it is?

Speaker 2 (01:30:13):
Is that a pass interference on the offense? Offensive pass interference?
Maybe that's how Leslie got so open.

Speaker 8 (01:30:21):
That makes sense.

Speaker 2 (01:30:22):
Now was third and goal from the twenty five. Now
it's going to be third and goal from the forty.
You know, my father always says, you tune into baseball games,
or you go to baseball games. Because you see something
new every day. But man, I've never seen third and

(01:30:42):
forty and a goal to goal situation.

Speaker 6 (01:30:45):
Too unbelievable.

Speaker 8 (01:30:47):
That is insane.

Speaker 2 (01:30:48):
And it still doesn't feel like boyce Fel's out of it.
No is Rome Hilled under center. He'll hand this ball off.
It'll be Tucker Linstrom and Lindstrom. I'll past the thirty
up to about the twenty two yard line. Excuse me,
twenty six yard line. Still a big gainer there on

(01:31:08):
third and forever. It'll be fourth and forever. Now fourth
in a little less than forever.

Speaker 8 (01:31:15):
They may try.

Speaker 9 (01:31:15):
They may put out their field, Goali in it.

Speaker 8 (01:31:17):
Right now, it looks like they may have everyone out
there for they send some of their skill players off
the field.

Speaker 2 (01:31:23):
I would not be shocked to see their kicker, Thomas Vittelli,
the junior here for Boyceville. He's looked good all season
long here for the Bulldogs.

Speaker 9 (01:31:32):
Pretty big leg on him as well.

Speaker 2 (01:31:34):
Here from the twenty six it would be about a
forty forty one yard attempt forty two. We'll have to
see as looks like it'll be a forty two yard
attempt for Vitelli. They're gonna go for it. Here on
fourth and twenty six. Nope, Rome Hill to fake again.
Second of the game. He's got two guys after him

(01:31:55):
trying to pick up a blocker throwing towards the.

Speaker 6 (01:31:57):
End zone incomplete.

Speaker 8 (01:32:00):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:32:01):
Well up by thirty six they went for the fake
field goal. Cole facts will take over. Anything you want
to add to this one. I mean, I think he
squared it up pretty well. He summed that up pretty well.
That was just an insane, just turn of events just
in general.

Speaker 8 (01:32:22):
I mean it was it was already a twenty yard
deficit for them to start off our second and third goal,
and then they backed it all the way back up
to the forty and then I missed a fake field
goal attempt on fourth down in almost thirty yards. I mean,
you really do see something new every day.

Speaker 6 (01:32:42):
I'm speechless.

Speaker 2 (01:32:43):
I would never have guessed in a million years that
they go to that twice in one game, especially in
that situation with Cole Facts will take over down thirty six,
first and ten on their own twenty six as it
looks like that'll be tom All alone in the shotgun
wide receivers. He as leveled as he throws and his

(01:33:04):
past intended.

Speaker 9 (01:33:05):
Oh and that's gonna be that's gonna be a yeah.

Speaker 6 (01:33:08):
That's gonna be roughing the past.

Speaker 2 (01:33:12):
Oh man, because it looks like cole Parsik was the
intended receiver.

Speaker 8 (01:33:17):
Oh no, they called it on Colfax.

Speaker 2 (01:33:19):
They're gonna call it's gotta be a hold this part
of the field, right, Colefax is backing up, waiting on
the signal here.

Speaker 6 (01:33:33):
Personal foul. Oh no, it is on.

Speaker 8 (01:33:38):
Even though they initially pointed towards Colefax. But I guess
they were just trying to figure out what the actual
call was.

Speaker 2 (01:33:45):
I mean, Grant de Moo got leveled and then so
it looked like he bent in half. It's good to
see him okay and back ready.

Speaker 8 (01:33:52):
I believe it was because he Zach Hellen drunk had
led with the helmet first and that's what tipped it
off for the refs.

Speaker 6 (01:33:58):
Yeah, you can't do that.

Speaker 2 (01:33:59):
But will be under center, two wide receivers on the
far side and two backs in the backfield for Colefax
first and ten from their own forty eight minutes to
play here in this fourth quarter, it's a toss on
the far side. Looks like that'll be Ethan Schindler and
Schindler maybe gets back to the line on a little
half back toss to the outside.

Speaker 6 (01:34:20):
Second down.

Speaker 8 (01:34:21):
Yeah, and Schindler, he's one of their younger guys too,
that's getting some play out there. Hasn't really seen the
ball as much this season, but Chindler the freshman trying to.

Speaker 9 (01:34:31):
Make most of his touches out there.

Speaker 2 (01:34:34):
They'll gain second and ten here from the forty so
seven minutes, thirty seconds and counting little delay getting there
here for Colefax. Now they come to the line and
the back judge puts his hand up. They'll have to
go quick.

Speaker 6 (01:34:56):
Here.

Speaker 2 (01:34:57):
Demo is under center, two wide receivers toward the new side,
and two backs in the backfield on second and ten.
A dude, just get the playoff.

Speaker 6 (01:35:04):
It is a toss. Looks like that was to Jacob Walls,
and Walls goes backwards back to about the thirty five
third down.

Speaker 8 (01:35:12):
Yeah, and that lost him about four of yards there
for him, that was a just completely I mean, they
tried doing a toss but get him out in space,
but there wasn't a single lead block out there to
really get him going. So he immediately met a wall
of purple jerseys as soon as he had gotten the toss.
You just cannot have that, especially when you're trying to

(01:35:34):
do a half back toss to the outside.

Speaker 9 (01:35:36):
You need to have someone block out there.

Speaker 2 (01:35:38):
Yeah, Third and fourteen, loss of a bunch there for Colefax.
Six and a half minutes left to go in this
one for the Vikings, that is fortunate. It'll be Demo
and the shotgun. Three wide receivers toward the near side,
one back in the backfield, Demo back to pass under pressure,
throws one high high in the aircut caught at about

(01:36:01):
the forty five.

Speaker 6 (01:36:02):
Oh no, it is incomplete.

Speaker 2 (01:36:04):
Has Easton Wedland laid out for that one? But it
hit the grass first.

Speaker 8 (01:36:08):
It looked like he had made that cash but it
must have slipped completely through him because it popped out
on the other side. He had that right there for him.

Speaker 9 (01:36:16):
But that was a skyball. I've ever seen one.

Speaker 6 (01:36:19):
Yeah, it looked like a pop fly to me.

Speaker 8 (01:36:22):
Oh yeah, you just cannot even tell where it was
going to land until someone came down with it. But
popped out at the end.

Speaker 2 (01:36:28):
Fourth and fourteen, it'll be a punt here for Colefax.
So five minutes and forty seconds separate this game from
the score sheet. The stumble on the punt, that ball
goes into the line and it's fallen on by Boysville
at about the thirty seven yard line, so they'll take
over with good field position.

Speaker 8 (01:36:46):
Oh wow, that is I haven't seen that before. Punters
slipping on that planting foot. Couldn't really get a good
kickoff there. And I don't know if he stepped on
his own foot or if you just slipped out there,
but it looked like.

Speaker 6 (01:37:02):
A slip to me.

Speaker 2 (01:37:03):
I know we had some rain here in western Wisconsin
last night. I heard it on my windows for sure,
but man, it's like somebody threw a banana peel out there.

Speaker 8 (01:37:12):
I know he just completely whipped on that. And now
with four fifty nine to go, boys Will gets the
ball back here and they can be the team to
put up more than thirty eight on colfax in a
season or in this season, I should say.

Speaker 6 (01:37:25):
We'll have to see. It is first and tent here
for Boyceville.

Speaker 2 (01:37:30):
Is their new quarterback, Eli Webber is out there with
the second team offense. Quick handoff on first down and
that ball gets up to about the thirty five yard line.
Looks like on that Carrie it was Finn Carl's rude game.

Speaker 8 (01:37:43):
Of three and then some of the Boyceville younger players
getting out there now is it seems like most of
the starting offense has left the field. I don't know
if Yeah, No, they do have Weber out there as well,
but just getting some of those young guys out there.
Usually only see them for one series, or usually only

(01:38:04):
see the seniors in them out for one series, but
they were out there for longer.

Speaker 6 (01:38:08):
Weber will hand the ball off again.

Speaker 2 (01:38:10):
This time they'll be Andrew Ton, and Ton goes backwards
to about the forty.

Speaker 6 (01:38:15):
That'll be a loss of five. They'll make it third
and about twelve.

Speaker 8 (01:38:19):
Probably one of the best defensive plays we've seen from
Colfax so far this game, and a massive five yard
loss there backs them up to third and twelve and
suddenly they're out of field goal position. You'd say, but yeah,
Boyceville's younger team, just trying to get something going out
there on offense.

Speaker 2 (01:38:35):
Getting reps for these second teamers. Of course, these guys
are the future over the next couple of years for
this boys field program. Third down and twelve yards to
go from the thirty nine yard line of Colfax. Here
for Boyceville. They send a man in motion. That'll be
ride Dell back to passes Weber. Nope, it's a handoff
and flag down again. That ball up to about the

(01:39:00):
thirty yard line.

Speaker 8 (01:39:04):
I don't really see what happened there at the end there.
It kind of looked like maybe someone got a hold
and boys, that is exactly what happened.

Speaker 2 (01:39:13):
You talk about Tony Romo being Romo Stradamis. You know, Dan,
You've got a pretty good eye for predicting these things too.

Speaker 6 (01:39:20):
Here.

Speaker 9 (01:39:20):
I do my best. I definitely do my best.

Speaker 8 (01:39:23):
You can't get them right all the time, but I
feel I feel like I can get it accurately a
lot of the time. And a lot of that just
comes with, you know, watching the game, knowing ball. Knowing
ball something we're paid to do.

Speaker 6 (01:39:36):
Out here. We got it.

Speaker 2 (01:39:37):
You're listening to the ball knowledge broadcast here. Just a reminder,
it is Boyce phlle thirty six Colefax nothing. Two and
a half minutes left to go in the fourth quarter
of the rest of this one, pretty much a formality.
On third and seventeen, it will be a handoff. Looks
like that goes to Jeffrey middlestat. I hope they're gonna
say that was Gavin Rye Dell on the carry minimal

(01:39:57):
game that time, and it'll be fourth down and they're
gonna call it fourth and fifteen. But still never in
doubt that Boyceville is gonna go for this.

Speaker 8 (01:40:06):
No matter if it's their young guys, they're old guys,
doesn't matter.

Speaker 9 (01:40:10):
Who's out there.

Speaker 8 (01:40:10):
They are always aggressive when it comes to going for
it on fourth down, and it looks like they might
just go for it again here, especially you know, being
in plus territory. They are backed up on fourth down,
but with a minute thirty fifty three to go, there's
not really much time to really do anything if you're coalfax.

Speaker 2 (01:40:26):
It's fourth and fifteen from the coalfax forty two here
for Boyceville, a minute forty five and counting left to play.
Weber is under center. They send a man in motion,
looks like ry Dell the'll be a toss to the
near side. Is running up the field is middle stat
He's taken down at about the thirty five yard line,

(01:40:47):
not enough for the first down, but still positive yardage
for Boyceville, and looks like that will be a turnover
on downs to end their offensive tenure in this game
with a minute seventeen in counting left till the five go.

Speaker 8 (01:41:01):
And I'll be as there's a timeout take and I
believe by Colefax.

Speaker 6 (01:41:05):
Cole facts will take a time out.

Speaker 2 (01:41:07):
We've got We'll give you a fun fact here until
I'm pretty sure it was about the seventies. Instead of
a whistle to end either the first half or the game,
officials would shoot like a starter's pistol.

Speaker 8 (01:41:19):
Oh yeah, definitely made for some wild games back then.

Speaker 6 (01:41:24):
It was a different time.

Speaker 8 (01:41:28):
But as we're kind of round down the end of
this game, I mean, it's interesting to look at the
dun Saint Croix right now because you do have a
bunch of different teams that could really make an impact.
We're kind of waiting on one of the scores for
the Glenwood City Spring Valley.

Speaker 6 (01:41:42):
Game right now.

Speaker 8 (01:41:44):
But for the most part, I mean this, this team
that we've been watching this entire time, Boyceville has been
absolutely just dominant no matter which team they've played so far,
and it's been fun to watch. But you know, you
see a lot, you see a lot of blowouts. Bring
this team that's not a bad thing. But when playoffs
come around, these scores get a lot closer, and suddenly

(01:42:06):
this football tends to matter a lot more. And what
you might think might not matter right now, this is
what's going to really get you experienced, especially if your
boys PHL getting some of your younger players out there,
Colefax getting your younger players out there. You remember these
kind of chances that you get out here on the field,
even as a younger player, and it can carry you
forward into your football career.

Speaker 2 (01:42:26):
Colefax has it first and ten at their own thirty
five is just a minute twelve left. We'll get the
clock rolling once again. After this time out, it's really
not a whole lot left to say about this one.
Once again, they score thirty six nothing, Boysville over Colefax
a minute and twelve seconds.

Speaker 8 (01:42:48):
They're getting the schedule or schedule and the time going here.

Speaker 2 (01:42:52):
Yeah, they're updating it to a minute fifteen left to go,
now a minute thirty six.

Speaker 6 (01:43:00):
We get We're gonna get it right in all these times.

Speaker 2 (01:43:04):
As it is now a minute twenty six left to
go in this fourth quarter, the clock will run no
matter what on the whistle. As Colefax ready in the
shotgun look three wide receivers toward the far side. Demo
fumbles the snap just falls on it and it'll be
a loss of looks like eight or nine and that's

(01:43:27):
a big loss for coal fact second down.

Speaker 8 (01:43:29):
Yeah, not the way you want to start this drive.
That's gonna be your last drive of the game, more
than likely unless something even wilder than what we've already
seen happens. But not a great way to start, No,
But you.

Speaker 6 (01:43:41):
Were talking about it before.

Speaker 2 (01:43:43):
As we get a snap on second and nineteen, a
throw is complete there to easton Wedland on the near sideline.
He's still on his feet and nearly back to the
original line of scrimmage. At the thirty five we're inside
of a minute left to go. You talked about all
the little things that you work on, especially in games
like this. If your boys, Phil I think about all

(01:44:06):
the little things that you build on here over the
course of a season. Is on third and ten, they'll
run another play thirty seconds left here in this one
for Colefax. Demo is in the shotgun again, one back
right to his left, low snap, he dumps it off
that is incomplete and they're gonna try and fall on it.

(01:44:26):
But that incompletion should be the end of the game.
Fifteen seconds left. I doubt they're gonna run another play
on fourth.

Speaker 8 (01:44:33):
And ten, but they're lining up for it. Apparently they
got up quick to the.

Speaker 2 (01:44:38):
Ball with five seconds left. Let's see if they can
do it Demo in the shotgun. One second left. They
can't get it off, and that is the ball game. Well,
if you're a Boysvil fan, you're happy. Lots of happy
fans here at the stadium here at Boyceville High School.
Thirty six to nothing, a boyce Vil win over Colefax.

(01:45:00):
I want to get this thought in.

Speaker 6 (01:45:01):
You talk a lot about the little things over the
course of the season, boyce Phil.

Speaker 2 (01:45:05):
You know, certainly undefeated and ranked number four. They are
playoff bound for sure.

Speaker 6 (01:45:11):
And lucky those little things they get magnified come playoff
times just a week away and now.

Speaker 8 (01:45:18):
Yeah, especially when it comes to the penalties you have
a while, you have almost we talk about how they
don't have much for weaknesses. One of them that I
have to say is just penalties and not even good penalties. Really,
it's just penalties that should not happen. But that comes
with being a very aggressive team, and that's what Boyce
phl is you're gonna get penalties like that, but they

(01:45:40):
can really start to add up when it gets to
playoff time. If you're still having holding penalties, if you're
still having past interference penalties, if you're still going up
and making a player misconduct or whatever, you just cannot
have those come playoff time. And that's gonna be something
they definitely work on here, something we saw a lot
of last week as well from this boys Fell team.
But thing you know is on the coach's mind, especially

(01:46:02):
going into this next week.

Speaker 6 (01:46:04):
Absolutely, and we touched on that at points through this one.

Speaker 2 (01:46:07):
Something we didn't touch on though, And I think if
you're gonna find a bright spot for Colefax, this is it.

Speaker 8 (01:46:13):
Second half shutout, second half shutout. And that was kind
of what I was saying before. I mean, hey, they
have only given up thirty eight points total in a
game or as a maximum in a game.

Speaker 9 (01:46:24):
Have they won any games?

Speaker 8 (01:46:26):
No, But you got to look at the little things
if you're Colefax and try and pinpoint what exactly are
you doing right? And I think defensively they're getting better. Offensively,
there's a lot to work.

Speaker 2 (01:46:35):
On, but this Colefax defense, they show that they were
for real. They held boys Field to their lowest scoring
game of the season, still a thirty six nothing win.
We'll be right back to wrap this one up with
your post game show right after this.

Speaker 6 (01:46:49):
You're on your home for high school football.

Speaker 1 (01:46:53):
The postgame show is next on Moose Country one O
six point seven eight, your home for high school football,
Moose Country one oh six point seven.

Speaker 6 (01:47:06):
Welcome back everybody.

Speaker 2 (01:47:07):
Noah Schwartz and Dan Zon's alongside you right here on
Moose Country one O six point seven FM and iHeartRadio
here in this one as we've got a final score
for you as the undefeated fourth ranked Boysville Bulldogs stay undefeated.
They moved to seven to zero thanks to a thirty
six to nothing stomping of the winless Coalfax Vikings.

Speaker 6 (01:47:30):
So Dan, we'll be quick. How do you want to
wrap this one up?

Speaker 8 (01:47:36):
I honestly, I think that Boysvil is gonna take this
and really run with it. They've got one more left
on the season. This year's chance to really win out
and get that undefeated season and then take that momentum
bring it into the playoffs. So if you're Boysville, you
gotta feel great about what just happened tonight, Because I mean,
a lot of teams will come into games like these
and they'll get big headed and we'll say, oh, yeah,

(01:47:57):
this team hasn't won a game since twenty.

Speaker 9 (01:47:59):
Nine, they're not gonna beat us, and then they lose
to those teams.

Speaker 8 (01:48:03):
They came out there and they went full force and said, no,
we're not going to be that team that loses to
the bad News bears out there. But if your Coalfax,
there's take there's good takeaways from this too. You have
only allowed thirty eight points maximum in it in this
season so far. Definitely a big step up on defense,

(01:48:23):
and especially considering I thought this could have been a
sixty point blowout of game. Colfax just kept fighting in it, though,
and that's something that you got to give credit to
because they didn't let down. They didn't stop, they didn't
start arm tackling and just kind of letting people run
off for ninety yard touchdowns. They kept up in the game.
Were they out of this game pretty early on, yes,
but they still kept fighting for And that's kind of

(01:48:46):
the thing that you have to take away if you're
a Colfax fan.

Speaker 9 (01:48:48):
But if you're in a Boys fil fan, it's party night.

Speaker 8 (01:48:51):
Tonight because you are about to you are a couple
of games away from being right in the playoffs, or
one game away actually to me, right in the playoffs.

Speaker 6 (01:48:59):
I know.

Speaker 8 (01:48:59):
That's it's crazy how fast that this season has flied
so far.

Speaker 6 (01:49:03):
Oh, it feels like just last month.

Speaker 8 (01:49:05):
They just last month we were right here.

Speaker 9 (01:49:08):
It was a rain storm, right, But no, it's crazy.

Speaker 8 (01:49:12):
It just it's been a lot of fun so far
this season, and especially being able to cover this boys
Full team that has just churned out successful win after
successful win.

Speaker 6 (01:49:21):
Yeah, a lot of fun.

Speaker 2 (01:49:23):
And really for Colfax, you know, it's easy after a
big loss to you know, give those false empty platitudes
and say, oh, you know you can build on something.
But shutting out this Boysville offense for a Colfax team
in that second half, there's something to build on there.
And especially next week a game that will have right
here on Moose Country one, O, six point seven and
Nineheart Radio. Next Friday, they'll take on Spring Valley. They'll

(01:49:46):
host that game and maybe a chance to get their
first win since twenty nineteen.

Speaker 8 (01:49:52):
Yeah, And I mean, what better way to close out
of season than against one of your oldest division rivals,
Conference rivals.

Speaker 6 (01:49:57):
I should say absolutely, it'll be a lot of fun.

Speaker 2 (01:50:00):
We're looking forward to that one. That's Friday, the day
before Thursday. We'll also be with you right here at
seven o'clock on the moose as Nilsville Granton takes on
Regis at Carson Park and Oa Claire will be alongside
Pete Canutson in that one. And if you're a Boyceville
fan listening, we've got you covered there too. We won't
be with you, but Boyceville will be on the road

(01:50:20):
at Turtle Lake to round out the regular season. Looks
like that's all the damage we can do here tonight
for Dan z On to my right and the incomparable
Dan Price holding things together back in studio, making the
two of us sound good. My name is Noah Schwartz,
saying good night everybody. Once again. Your final score is
Boyceville thirty six, Colefax nothing.

Speaker 6 (01:50:40):
We'll see you next week. So long,
