wildcatspeaknots along with Dan Zon's bringing youour final game of the regular season,

you'd imagine, I mean, asyou look at this Dan we talked about

Jonah Severson. As we look atthe Lars Galla Plumbing and heating lineups,
you'll get Steeverson for the Wildcats.Obviously, Jacob Range a very good quarterback
as well, but I mean,at six foot three and five pounds a
senior running back twenty touchdow, Imean he'll be playing on Saturdays. There's
no doubt about that. And he'sjust all you know, he's kind of
everything that's been, he's been,you know, made out to be,

I guess you want to say.And you know, of all the running
backs we've seen in the big rivers, there's been some good runners, I
would say, but he's the guywho might be the most traditional good running
back that we might see this entireseason. And if North can't fill the
gap, so night, it's goingto be a long night for the Huskies.
Oh yeah, And that's been oneof their issues, especially for most
of this last for most of theselast few games too, especially against teams

like Menominee and even last week,they had some struggles with being able to
just close down on gaps and beable to fill up. And they have
the big defensive linemen to do that. However, they're just not really getting
to their spots in the right times, and they've also faced some pretty good
offensive lines as well. However,this is the night your backs against the

wall if you want to be ableto make it to the playoffs and have
a chance at breaking that spell that'sreally cursed you since nineteen ninety eight.
This is the night to do it. This is the night to lay it
all out on the line against agreat team like River Falls. River Falls
went ten to two last season andthey were eliminated in the Level three of
the playoffs by West of Pier.Western Pier took care of New Richmond the

week before that as well, sothey kind of made it through a lot
of the Big Rivers Conference in thatsense as well. River Falls one last
season's game against Oaklaire North thirty oneto nineteen, and the Wildcaps hold a
twenty four and eight record in gamesplayed since nineteen eighty one. You mentioned
the rush defense for North that maybe a bit of a concern. They
do give up one hundred and fiftyfive yards per game and this offense games

Like we said, we are positionedright behind the student section four River
Falls and it is easily the mostpopulated section here tonight at Ramerfield, it'll

Can North cap off what was agreat start to the season with a
chance to get in the playoffs?Here we go downfield. It go as

of team this O Claire North defensewants to because we've seen the bright sides
of this team early on in theseason, they completely zeroed out Superior to
start it off. But they've reallybeen lacking these last few games with amount

of injuries, just fatigue in general, not really finding their consistency. But
they have a chance to show tonightthat they deserve to at least be in
consideration for the playoffs. Under center, he goes in a fumbled snap.
This is gonna be scooped up atthe thirty ten d North has it.
North has it at the thirty yardline. A fumbled snap by the quarterback
in Jacob range and the North Huskycoaches over to our right are loving what

they see as I believe it waspicked up by Kate Johnson or was it
Heinbuck who maybe picked that one up. Regardless, Nord's gonna have it at
the River Falls thirty yard line.And that's the problem with having to play
these rainy games is that you're gonnahave a struggles on the struggles on the
snaps, but also struggles on thehandoffs. And there that was just a

struggle all around by the quarterback,Jacob. He just could not get a
handle the ball. Not only didit like get well not only was it
a short snap, he could justnot grab on to a leading until that
turnover. A great job by KayJohnson just land on it. And now
Oakleaar North has a chance on offenseand it will be shipping out as the
quarterback. He hands off to Olsenrunning right, spins into a tackle and

goes down at about the twenty eightyard line. Tackle on the play by
Jacob Range, the Wildcats quarterback whojust fumbled, so he's probably smarting and
wanting to make it play on thedefensive side. Two yard gain. It
is second and eight. Yeah,I'm cam Olsen's another guy to watch.
We talked all about great player fora great player Jonash steven Severson who has

almost eighteen who has almost one thousand, four hundred yards on the season rushing
through the eight games. But man, does Cam Olsen have a great track
record too. He bounces on theright side of the line, could never
really get around the end, andthere's Range again to take him down.
On the second play from scrimmage forOaklare North. It's a yard maybe two.
It's gonna bring up third and sevennow at the twenty seven yard line

of River Falls and on a nightwhere it's rainy and wet and with not
a great kicking game forro Claire North. This is already four down territory.
Oh yeah, definitely, I wouldexpect something a little short, maybe a
short pass. I don't know,it's gonna be a little bit hard to
get into their routes with the Withhow it looks on the field over there,
you can kind of see the darksplotches where there are more water than

on the other side. So youhave to really be careful here to not
mess up. Burns left, Johnsonright. They handed off to Olsen.
He gets past to twenty five,but then it's just stacked up by a
defender at about the twenty three yardline there. Tackle was made by number
forty four Riinley Oustgard and it willset up about a fourth and let's call

it four here at the twenty fourfour And I would expect a little bit
of trickery to start this one offhere, not really being not really a
lot of variation, kind of justcam Olson one, two, three,
and here we go. So let'ssee if they kind of change this up
a little bit. Johnson goes left, and once again it is Burns to

Shipman looking for the edge. Canhe find it? He cannot, could
not find the edge. And thecontainment from this river Falls defense very good
on this first drive and despite thefumble, four straight plays, all rushes
and they can't pick up ten yards. It's just turnover undowns. And I
expect just the whole rushing game todayand already we're already seeing it with eu

Claire North four straight runs and couldnot really get anything started. River Falls
defense was able to counter each andevery one of them, knowing that they
have a great runner and cam Olsenand Shipman right behind him to be able
to kind of vary and figure outtheir offense, but just not really much
going. So river Falls takes overat their own twenty four yard line,

handoff up the gut to their primetailback there in Jonas Severson. He gets
a couple to about the twenty sevenyard line. We'll call it a three
yard game second and seven here orfor river Falls rather and I expect a
lot more from Steversent. He isjust an absolute great in between tackle.
Runners can be a bit patient,might not want to be too patient this

game, with how slippery it is, could be a little slippery and sliding
around in that backfield if he's notcareful. Toss it to Severson. He's
got the first down. I thinkacross the thirty yard line. He's trying
to get around the edge here.Now they stop the clock. Is there

So this is coming back after whatlooked like it was about a six to
seven yard gain for a first down. Here's the call holding Bentley on the
wildcatch. See the microphone even pickingup some water as well. So I
got just put back to the seventeenand so second down and about sixteen here

up? Now? The Wildcats aregoing into the wind at the moment,

the flags are just going crazy onthose goal posts. But that just

means that you're gonna have to bevery accurate with your throes and almost overextend
yourself if you're gonna try and doa passing down here. However, their
running back's good enough to potentially beable to pick up that yardage, and
even if you don't, it's noloss, no foul. If you're able
to punt this away, you're stillearly on in this game. So they
will look to pitch. No,it'll be a keeper here running around the
edge. Could North get him?They can? They wrap a up on

the keeper for range around the leftside. He gets to the twenty seven.
They needed the thirty three at least, if not the thirty four for
a first doun. So just acouple on the play. We'll call it
a three yard run and now it'sfourth down, a river falls will have
to punch. And that was justa great job by the Oaklare North containment.
Both of these defenses able to containearly on, not really letting either
team really get along the outside,except for that Severson run which ended up

getting called back on a holding penalty. Wonder why that went so far on
that one, but so far.Good job by both of these defense to
really recognize that both of these teamsare gonna run. Maddex Gertz is back
to return the punt. It isan okay punt here. It actually got
shanked there. We got up intothe lights and up into the rain that's

splattering across the windows here in frontof us as it goes out of bounds
at the Oaklaire North forty sixth yardline. So just about a twenty oh
just under a thirty yard punt,which isn't terrible going into the wind.
But Oakclaire North takes over with againgood field position after turning the ball over
on downs on their first possession.Yeah, not as great as that first

one, but definitely definitely great fieldposition to be in, better than River
Falls has gotten these last few times. So let's see if this oau Claire
North offense gets a little bit morevariation than just cam Olsen to the right
side three times in a row againstseven thirty nine left first quarter, no
score as it is shipping back inat quarterback. No Peyton mccrackett at the
moment. Is a handoff a littledelay here for Olsen. He does get

a little bit of the edge here, falls up to the fifty yard line
before he is tripped up by PrestonJohnson. Again, a pretty decent run
there on the right side. Hewas one tackle away from finally getting and
breaking that containment on the outside.Yeah. Really, you could see it
in his eyes when he was runningfast here. You could see him really
wanting that one too. He wantsto be the one to break it off

each and every single time because he'sjust got that ferocity in him. He's
always the kind of playmaker that wantsto bowl through every single player and go
make a play. And he's gonnahave his chances for this one because it's
gonna be a primarily running game.And there he goes again ball at the
fifty, you'll go up the gunlittle counter from left to right. He
gets two maybe three on the play. Multiple Wildcats met him on the play.

We'll call it Lucas Johnson on thetackle there give him about three to
the River Falls forty seven yard lineand now third and three four oaklare North
and that was a perfect tackle onCamulson too. That's just something else that
you're gonna have to know. CamOlson's a tough runner to bring down.
But if you're able to get lowenough to where you're able to just grab

his legs and bring him up andput him down out of the air,
you're gonna be able to take himand you're gonna be able to contain them
very well. That's how o theirteams have been able to contain cam Olson.
However, however, they have beenable to He averages almost five yards
of carry, so he's not reallythe easiest to stop out there, but
that's gonna be the way you doit. North has to get this playoff
here. This is gonna be adelayed game, and there it is.

Officials are have the pink flags tonight. I think breast cancer awareness deal here
this evening there's some guy's wearing somepink socks as well for U River Falls,
and the officials are scoring the pinkFLEs tonight. But it is a
delay of game. And that's onewhere Shipman just did not recognize the count

coming from the back judge at something. You gotta be a little more aware
of third and eight, Yeah,and that's what that's the troubles about having
a younger quarterback out there. Shipmanmay be more athletic and more of a
gifted runner than mc kraken might be. However he is not. He's not
really had the game experience to understandlike that. There is a running clock

back there. You have to beable to get that off. You're not
going to always be able to besaved by a coach calling a timeout.
So this is just one of thelicks he's gonna take as a young quarterback.
Under six minutes left to play firstquarter, don't score two receivers left,
one right here for Shipman, ballin the near hash left right,
third and eight. They need toget to the River Falls forty four yard
line back to pass Shipman. Hewants to launch just one deep down on
your side up for Johnson and completeits office hands. Should have been a

touchdown. Holy Cowie threw that absolutelyperfect Johnson and unbelievable, But that one
did not fall into the hands ofJohnson. Johnson, I don't know.
He put those hands up late likehe was trying to deep the defender,
but that kind of threw him off. I think a bit. Oh yeah,
I think so too. That oneshould have been a That really should
have been a touchdown on Johnson there, and he's one of their shorthanded receivers

to nineteen receptions, two hundred andsixty seven yards and three touchdowns on the
year, tied for first and touchdownson this team with Brady Jensen, who
is another sure handed guy. That'sgonna see a lot of run out there.
But you know Johnson's gonna want thatone back. Is now they're forced
to punt once again. Two returnersback here for river falls as they will
punt and they will get it awaypretty decent punt here to the near side

by Perkins, and it will goout of bounds near the twenty yard line.
Let's see where they end up markingit, okay, and it will

Yeah, and the returner, PrestonJohnson, who also leads this River
Falls team and interceptions with three onthe season, had a little bit almost
a little bit of trouble gathering thatone because he couldn't really tell where that
ball was landing because the wind pickedit up and kind of sailed that on
him, so he had to makean almost receiver like back shoulder catch on
it. Range will pitch it overon the left side to Severson following his

blockers across the twenty and he getsnear the twenty two yard line. Will
be about a six yard gain onfirst down. Nice run there by Kay
Johnson in on the stop, butabout a six yard gain on first dound.
This is what they're used to seeing. Severson averages five point nine yards
per carry. They like the fivesix yards per carry. Just pick up
the first down to kind of movethe move the clock, move the chains,

and do their thing. Yeah,if they didn't get set back on
that penalty flag. With a holding, they probably could have been able to
melk a little bit more of that. Going down the field, Severson of
a hole up the middle, hitsthe line at the twenty five. He's
going to close to the first downmarker. It was a nice job by
Kate Johnson to get in there andmake the stop. But I think he's
got the first down very close.They're calling it third down, I think

on the far sideline, but it'sgot to be thirty bring just past the
twenty five. It's very very close, like that's almost touching the first down
marker there. You can see ithere. But a great job by this
River Falls offensive line to keep pushingthat defensive line. And this defensive line
has had its troubles, but it'strying its best right now to stop Severson.
And there's a quarterback keeper and he'sgonna stay on his feet and the

ball fall out thought for a momentit did no later lad coming in thirty
five yard line on the keeper herefor Jacob Rain and what do we have
here? That came in from theheadline judge on the far side. He
threw it high in the air.It wasn't like he was throwing it at

we're just gonna get a straight upfifteen unsportsmanlike on the sideline. So you
wonder if maybe Pat McGinnis or maybesomebody on the sideline said something to the
line shops midfield. The only wayI can think that they would mark that

that way and not just give ita warning that something, you know,
the magic word had to be saidor something like that. Yeah, unmust
unless they had already been warned priorto that too. Yeah, not sure
exactly what happened, but it isa first down. It would have been
a first down anyway now for surea first down. As the ball's moved
up to the fifty yard line,Severson gets the pitch left side pooge hold
of a forty five and then getsstripped up at the forty three yard line

as the Huskies again a little bitlate in getting there. Stapp by ty
Shock jun A had about a sevenyard game there once again for Severson,
and it's second and three. SomethingI will say, even though it doesn't
seem like much as this river fallsoffense is kind of running through Oa Clare
North right now, both teams havesays, very high intensity. Both teams
know what's at stake here, andthis defense is hitting hard. Right now,

it's again another pitch of Severson runningleat big hold of forty cuts at
the thirty five then taken down upnear the thirty two yard line and Capen's
against Shot and Johnson were there,but not until he got into the secondary
to the thirty two yard line andgets the first down line and just not
great containment there on that outside edgefrom the Eau Claire North team. However,

they had been doing so great beforehand, but now they're just not really
able to not really able to keepSteverson contained on that far left side and
it keeps breaking down these big formations. Again, they pitched the severs and
no hole. Now he's going tocounter back. He's got some space stif
arm at the twenty five far sideof the twenty between the hash and the
numbers down inside the ten, andhe's taken down at about the five yard

line by Kroy Linman. But boy, what a counter. The entire Husky
defense moved to the near side ofthe field. He's so open green he
went forty and that's why he's sucha dangerous rusher. He got the awareness
to and he's also tall enough tobe able to see over almost every lineman

of the field had only one personback to stop him, and that was
Linnman. Great job on him tomake that open field tackle on a really
hard running back to bring down.But if you're old Claire North, you
need to sure that side up.They will give it to Severson right up
the gut again. He will justpush into the ends of Luger. He
just runs a Husky over. Hestares him down as he goes into the

First quarter, and just like that, river Falls takes the lead with a
little bit of bravado from their sixfoot three, two hundred and four pound
senior running backs. Yeah, andthat was a great job by him just
to walk right in there, andalso a great job by the offensive line
for river Falls to create enough ofa gap for him to just almost steamroll
right through and kept had a littlebit of an uneven matchup between him and

a member of the secondary. Therenot a great uh, not a great
time to be a five foot nineguy against six three hundred pound man.
The extra point is up and itgives I'm good, just knocked through by

left to go, first quarter.A five yard touchdown run for Jonah Severson
Dan by Mike Count. He's alreadyup to sixty eight yards in a touchdown.
And this is why this kid israttling off so many yards, six
yards per carry and he's almost whatat the one hundred and seventy ish yard
mark per game. This kid isa special running back to watch. Oh
yeah, you know, you knowhe's gonna be getting some looks in the

college field too. He's been justabsolutely stunning to watch out there on the
field. He's been absolutely magnificent.But this, this is what this oaklaier
Nor team expected. They were goingto run that entire offense through Severson,
and so far there hasn't been asingle pass on the River Falls side.
In fact, there's only been onepass all game, and that's been that
drop pass from T. J.Johnson shawf and Johnson back to return.

But it's one of the up backsbobbling it at the thirty two and just
falling on it. And I thinkthat was Jensen there. Yeah, the
tight end who was one of theblocking men on the special teams unit,
just falls on it at the thirtytwo and that's where North takes over and
it's their worst field position of thenight. Yeah, and that's something to
say because most people would love anythingthirty plus. However, they've had a

chance at the River Falls close tothe River Falls thirty and also at almost
at their own forty six yard line. So it's been interesting to watch so
far. But this Oa Claire Northoffense really needs to wake up. Their
defense has done their job so farother than allowing that touchdown on their third
dry on the River Falls third driveof the game. Still Shipman in at

quarterback. He will give it toOlson trying to counter up the gut gets
to the line of scrimmage and thenhis push backwards by Lincoln McCarty after getting
a yard of the thirty three yardline. And it's second and nine really,
and this River Falls defensive line isright now winning the battle in the
trench against the Oak Claire North offensiveline. There is almost nowhere to run

for cam Olson right now as they'retrying to open up some kind of angles.
And right now it's just cam Olsontrying to run through tacklers upon TACs,
and the River Falls is doing agreat job containing and just not allowing
any big runs so far from Olsenagain, we'll see to the near side
Travian Johnson, and now a shiftof the tight ends to the near side

including Jensen, and they'll give itto Olsen. They run right They go
to the thirty five. He getsstripped up across the thirty five to about
the thirty seven, maybe the thirtyeight, and again a good job there.
A little bit of misdirection here.They loaded up left side, then
they put everybody in motion just tomaybe get the Wildcats defense a little lot
of position and ended up working.Okay, they got four yards. Yeah,

they're gonna need to do a fewmore things like that, more,
a little bit more counters to kindof draw off that Wildcats defense that knows
that most of this offense is throughthat running game. For this Wildcat team,
they're not They don't have McCracken inthere, so they know there's not
gonna be a lot of passes withshipmen. But we have seen one pass
it It was a good one.It was a very good one. Gravian

Johnson dropped what should have been atouchdown, streaking down the near side,
had single coverage and had a littlebit of separation too. He's near side
again. Third and five. Theyneed the forty two yard line in a
whistle and Matt McGinnis saw the clockat least the count coming from the back
judge and decided, I don't wantanother delay of game penalty, so he
takes the time out to save thatfrom happening. Here again, a cold

night, a blustery night. Let'stake a quick look around the BRC,
and of course the big one tonightis the game that is for the Big
Rivers Conference Championship between Hudson and NewRichmond this evening and they're late first quarters,

I couldn't tell you if it's FallCreek ERMANDOV who's lead that game before
twenty three they got They've got somewater on their camera issues going on there.
But it's a close one between FallCreek Mondovi. Why that matters is

because Oakleay Regis one last night.If Mondovi wins, they'll get a share
of the Clover Belt Championship with OaklaireRegis. If they lose to Fall Creek,
o'clare Regis wins the clover Belt outrightwith that result from last night and

come out of the time out withone twenty two left in the first quarter,

seven and nothing, River falls leadsand once again it is Shipment at
quarterback. Need the forty two fora first down and he will fake the
give to Olson pressure coming rolling rightthrows, it's incomplete. There was no
chance for him to get anything downfield. Great pressure put on by Cody
Olsen along with Riley Usgard again andthat is fourth and five and o'claire North

forced to punt with one seventeen leftin the first quarter. And if you're
an Oaklaire North fan, this iskind of hard to see as this Oaklaire
North defense has really stepped up tostart off this game. Although allowing a
touchdown on their third drive, theystopped a Wildcat offense twice that is usually
pretty well known for being able torun just on any kind of rushing defense

that is not really up to snuff. However, this North offense really needs
to wake up and not wait untila second quarter to really get something going.
Huskies get the punt away, nota bad one. In fact,
it's gonna take the Wildcats back tothe twenty yard line before the return twenty
five near side thirty five and takingdown at the thirty eight yard line.
Is the returner and Andrew Robinson outand a good return there about eighteen yards.

And it's first and ten here forthe Wildcats with one o six left
to go in the first quarter,and it's River Falls leading seven to nothing.
And Aminson one of the top receiversfor the river Falls Wildcats here too,

of a chance to get this game, but he is the type of guy
that's able to really turn it upfieldand really turn on the Jets whenever he

Memorial, they beat Superior this year. Next year is gonna be an interesting
one because of course North the Memorialare going over to the whatever they're calling
it, the Big Rivers Slash ValleyFootball Association East or West or whatever it
might be. So they're gonna havea whole new slate of teams to play
next year. So the question iscan you make the next step. But
you're not gonna be playing the RiverFalls, You're not gonna be playing the
New Richmonds and the Hudson's. They'regonna be playing Marshfield, Spashed, Wassaw

make that step, I don't know, because it's a whole new, new
