and they're on a five game roadtrip. This was game one of
that road trip for them, andI felt like they put out their best
effort to try to switch up thatnarrative. Where they are now seven and
twenty seven on the road so farthis season, which is a little bit
perplexing coming from the defending champs.They gave the Clippers their best shot tonight,

but I felt like the Clippers answeredthe call each and every time.
They'd end up getting thirty from KawhiLeonard twenty four from PG thirteen, who
hit two huge three pointers in thefourth quarter, including the dagger that had
Steve Kerr calling off the Dogs,or so we thought. He took Steph
Curry out of the ball game,but they were still intentionally fouling late.
They were still trying to find away to just get back into this one,

but surviving fifty from Steph Curry wherehe had a twenty one point third
quarter, and the Clippers ended upwinning the third quarter. Anyways, part
of the reason was Eric Gordon egHe finished with fourteen of his sixteen points
in that third quarter. Just anincredible performance, and he kind of countered
some of those deep threes and thatability to stretch the floor. Well,

Eric Gordon was able to do someof that. He hit all four of
us three pointers in that third quarter. Or now rejoined by our voice of
the Clippers in Noah Eagle, Noahbiggest victory of the season, considering everything
at stake in this one, andI thought they took Golden State's best shot,
who was out Hunteam for a victoryon the road, a nationally televised
game. They gave the Clippers everythingto overcome the Steph Curry performance, to

overcome, to your point, theferocity the Warriors were playing with to start
this game, and to play theway the Clippers did down the stretch to
find a way through it. Tospike, Golden State making the runs,
tremendous stuff, tremendous, tremendous stuff, showing growth again from not giving up
their lead for when Golden State makesthe run, remaining calm, the veterans
playing like veterans, the youngsters playinglike young up and coming stars. I

thought this was a complete win,a team win, and a win that
you build on now moving forward therest of the season. And they were
down fourth about nine minutes left inthat third quarter, and it said,
I want to see what this Clippersteam is made of right now, and
they showed it to you. They'reback to that resilient, natured crew that
never gives in no matter what thescore is, no matter what a player

is doing going supernova like Steph Curry's. Isn't the third They won that third
quarter regardless by three points. Thatis something that we really haven't. They
beat Golden State at their own gamein some ways, no doubt about it.
Look this was you look at thisthe breakdown and quarter to quarter to
quarter twenty eight twenty three. TheClippers win the first, but then it
was highest scoring the rest of theway, and that's what Golden State wants.

But even with Steph Curry going forfifty and Golden State being hot at different

points in this game, this onejust felt like it meant a little more.
And the Clippers get in the wwe'll see if they can build on
it even more. The momentum isobvious right now for this team, and
even though Golden State outshoots them atfifty five percent from the field forty seven
percent from the outside, Clippers arerespectable forty eight percent and forty seven percent
themselves from distance. But the differencewas they only turn the basketball over eight

times, and that eighth turnover waswell a little bit of a token turnover
late. Somebody had to have it. Yeah, the Golden State. Okay,
yeah, look, that was oneof the biggest factors of this game.
When you're gonna overcome a big scoringperformance like that, you've got to
win the turnover battle by a fairlywide margin, and the Clippers did that
and then some. So that wasgood to see. And it's good to
see them forcing turnovers the way theydid tonight against a team that's got guys

who have been in the biggest ofmoments on the biggest of stages. Usually
things don't FaZe them, but itfelt like today the Clippers got to them
just enough. And there's not enoughsuperlatives about this win. There's not enough
superlatives about this team, the waythey're playing right now. It's crazy how

have thought the season was over,and now new life with only half a

And don't get me wrong, Stephcan hit shots over anyone at any time

The Clippers played great defense on himmost of the time. He still

season long. Against the Memphis Grizzliesabout a week and a half ago on
that Sunday night, they gave upa fifty one spot in that third quarter.
They were down fifteen, down byas many as sixteen in the fourth.
After giving up fifty one points inthe third, and they came back
and won, and it looked likethey flipped a switch. Finally they dug

their heels in defensively, and Ithought, believe it or not, they
played pretty good defense. It justdoesn't matter against that Curry sometimes and a
hot Street and Golden State Warriors teamthat hit seventeen threes. But the last
three games now, they played witha sense of desperation out there. You
can see it when they need bigshots, their superstars are stepping up.

Paul George two huge threes and theDagger three and the fourth Kawhi Leonard.
He had ten of his thirty inthat third quarter. Eric Gordon, who's
been a bit of a revelation nowin closing lineups. He's playing crunch time,
clutch time minutes the last three gamesnow and had fourteen of his sixteen

points in that third quarter alone andhit four three pointers. He tried to
counteract Steph Curry's twenty one, butalso was doing some of the little things,
making hustle plays. And when theClippers do that, when they get
down and dirty, and when yousee are superstars on the floor diving from

loose balls. We saw it withKawhi Leonard. I couldn't believe they called
it a jump ball there. Ithink it was him in Jordan pool.
Looked like Hawai was easily fouled.But seeing your stars like that play both
ends of the court, dig indefensively and then also show up on the
offensive end, you get behind himas a leadership guys rally around that.

But I thought there were so manybig plays, including a Nicholas Battoum three
pointer in the second half that wasvery much needed to stop a Golden State
Warriors run, and they had afour point lead early in the third quarter,
and Noah Eagles said it, comingback from time out, you could
sense the momentum shifting, and Noahsaid, I want to see what this

Clippers team is made of right now, because this game could go one of
two ways. It could swing rightback into the favor of the Golden State
Warriors like it did a week agoin Golden State where they just ambushed and
blitzed the Clippers in that third quarterand the rest of the way, and
the Clippers were waving the white flagat the seven minute mark of the fourth
quarter and lost by I want tostay twenty four or this Clippers is going

to show us something that they havematured that they aren't that team that they
are playing for Forty eight minutes hardon both ends doesn't mean you're always going
to get the victory. Sometimes theteam has a hot shooting night. Golden
State did, though, and theClippers still won. That speaks to the
talent level of this team. GoldenState didn't have Andrew Wiggins got it.

Clippers didn't have a Norman Powell,and they have guys coming at you every
which way and so many little thingsin this one. Decided it would just
get into extra rebounds out there,offensive rebounds and punishing a smaller team and
taking advantage of the size that theClippers had in their favor. Credit Big
Zoo. I thought Russell Westbrook hadsome big moments. He had two offensive

rebounds that he turned into points forhimself in that fourth quarter and seven assists
to zero turnovers. He found Nicholasbut tune for that big three. But
Kawai steady ten of nineteen, threethree pointers, thirty points. Paul George
twenty four was aggressive, took moreshots than Kawai at twenty one, just

went eight of twenty one, butthe timing of some of his shots in
his makes were big. Those twothree pointers in the fourth quarter. I
don't know if they can hold backthe floodgates of the Splash Brothers and Steph
Curry without him Terrence Man though,end of the third end of the fourth,

going back and forth, it wasreally Terrence Man and Eric Gordon three pointers
that I thought turned this game rightback into the clippers favor, even while

much you can do there. Butif you make up for the hots shooting

by getting extra shots up yourself throughhustle plays and just continue to play through
it, that's something to be admired. A team winning a game where it
looks like Steph Curry is in godmode and can't miss and it's just inevitables
that he's going to beat you,and the Clippers just kept fighting. Okay,

games. Tonight was his highest pointstotal at sixteen, since the great game

But the end of the third quarteroffensive rebound leading to an Eric Gordon

three, huge play from Terrence Man. Then to start the fourth quarter,
multiple offensive rebounds leading to him gettinga two point shot up and and one.
And then he was and he's oneof the best guys cutting through the
lane on the Clippers, probably thebest, but Paul George found him for
an assist for an easy layup.That stuff is just invaluable. It's so

critical energy plays. He was gettingthe crowd into it. And then Russell
Westbrook had an offensive rebound, hita bank shot, had another one,

got there early and often can wingames there too. But then Kawhik comes

He's his progress is steady, butit does seem to be continuous thus far

one. I still felt like thetwo on three connection Paul George and Kawhi
Leonard were very much present and askingfor the basketball and asking for the tough

been closing ever since that Memphis gamewhere they took over late and Kawai hat

know we've talked a lot about howclose things are on the West and even
