Two good looks at it at him, But how much
can you ask James Harden to do at this point
in this season. I mean, it just feels like he's
done everything for the Clippers thirty seven minutes again to nine,
twenty eight points, five assists, six boards. I know it's
late game shots. I know it's that way your superstars do,
but this is a one man carry job offensively from

James Harden. I mean, the offensive rating when he's off
the floor plummets, and the teams know that they're sending
double teams his way, and it's hard for him. I
think three games and four nights at him, and he
played thirty eight or more in all of them. It's
unbelievable at his age of thirty five. So the Clippers,
you know, they were in this game, but I don't
think this game goes down on that shot. It goes

down when they didn't close out to Quinton Grimes outside
the arc, couldn't get to three point shooters. And credit
the Sixers. They got hot in the fourth quarter and
they hit six of their nine shots to start from
the three point line thirty five points. They finished with
thirty seven in that fourth quarter, and the Clippers defense
that was stellar through the first half just faded late
and maybe some of that's just the tired legs of

Yeah, when it was go time, the sense of urgency
ramped up offensively for the Philadelphia seventy six Ers, Maxi
with fourteen of his thirty nine in the fourth, Quinton
Grimes with nine points in the fourth quarter alone, and
they were able to retake the lead. And it put
the Clippers in an unfamiliar position because they almost led
this thing wire to wire after their being down five

to nothing. Yeah, credit the Philadelphia seventy six Ers. This
Clippers team, obviously maybe some tired legs after playing yesterday
in Boston, but a similar result, unfortunately, one positive. Kobe
Sanders again invaluable experience from him that he's getting right now,
especially light in ball games out there making winning plays. Look,

I know they reversed that call and they said there
was a foul in of beats Zubots, but that doesn't
gate the fact that Kobe Sanders had that timely rebound
that could have been. That was great instincts by the
young man. I feel like he is wise beyond his years.
If there's something to look forward to right now with
this Clippers team being four and ten on the season,
it is the fact that Kobe Sanders is getting big minutes.

Lawrence Frank, Trent Rend and Mark Hughes, the entire scouting department.
They found a gem clearly with Kobe Sanders. I mean,
he has just looked so confident, so collected. I know,
the shot selection was great for the most part today,

The Clippers got what they need out of Kobe Sanders,

and they just they just fell short. I mean, I
think this is a it's a heartbreaker. I think it's
one you can definitely blame the tired legs and for
the Clippers, you got to start rattling them off at
some point because This has been a rough go to
the beginning of this road trip, a big win in Dallas,
but then back to back games where not only you
in it late, you got a chance to really create
some separation late and the Clippers could not do it

He's with them on the road trip, but he hasn't

the last twenty one minutes of the ballgame. Maybe something
to do with them being on a back to back
in Philadelphia, having two days off, Clippers not having enough

He could have been done for the season with what
I thought was a reckless play by Jaylen Brown yesterday

The start of that second quarter where they let go

in theory he should be the focal point. He didn't
touch the basketball I think the first four or five
minutes of that second quarter while they settled for jumpers
and three point shots. Zu didn't have a good game,
but that was ridiculous.

for threes and I don't like it. I feel like

we've had to say that so many times over the years.
Turns out you're not the same team that you were
projected to be when you're missing your best player. Hopefully

Bradley Beal. They had big plans for him this season,
and I get why. I get why he could have

hasn't fixed anything, and then they lose their other point
of attack defender in DJ in a game where Quentin
Grimes and Tyrese Maxi are getting what they want downhill

other reasons, but the main reason by far is of

course injuries. Is that the only reason. No, but you
might want to start there before freaking out. Yes, they
got off to a slow start, even with Kawhi. They've
gotten off to slow starts like that plenty of times
and turned it around four and ten. I don't know

they've gotten off to this Slova start in the two,
one to three or Kawhi Leonard Era. Weird seeing Paul
George out there for Philadelphia today on a minute's restriction,
his first game of the season coming against the Clippers.
Like injuries aren't an excuse, they are a reason. It
is a players league. If you don't have your best players,

you're out winning much. I like the way they have
fought and played, more so the last three or four games.
They've looked more recognizable. The problem is they still are
at a talent disadvantage, and that makes it hard to
win games. To spend down the stretch when you're in
close games, when James Harden has done everything and probably

TJ McConnell. But his hunched over dribble a little bit,
his gait, his mannerisms out there, his lack of athleticism
he makes up for with effort, his headiness, just the

what they got the rest of the season. A guy
who can go out there and make winning plays for you.
That's a positive. He started this game. But none of
you Coach Lou haters will acknowledge that. You all think
if you fire Coach Lou all of a sudden, Kawhi

Bradley Beal's coming back. That's not how anything works. Look
at the real reasons for why they're losing games, being
in a talent disadvantage over and over again, and having
to play James Harden way too many misses to where
they're burning out of gas and there are guys under

they were better. They only turned the ball over ten times,

Two good looks at it at him, But how much
can you ask James Harden to do at this point
in this season. I mean, it just feels like he's
done everything for the Clippers thirty seven minutes again to nine,
twenty eight points, five assists, six boards. I know it's
late game shots. I know it's that way your superstars do,
but this is a one man carry job offensively from

James Harden. I mean, the offensive rating when he's off
the floor plummets, and the teams know that they're sending
double teams his way, and it's hard for him. I
think three games and four nights at him, and he
played thirty eight or more in all of them. It's
unbelievable at his age of thirty five. So the Clippers,
you know, they were in this game, but I don't
think this game goes down on that shot. It goes

down when they didn't close out to Quinton Grimes outside
the arc, couldn't get to three point shooters. And credit
the Sixers. They got hot in the fourth quarter and
they hit six of their nine shots to start from
the three point line thirty five points. They finished with
thirty seven in that fourth quarter, and the Clippers defense
that was stellar through the first half just faded late
and maybe some of that's just the tired legs of
(02:12):
this team.

Yeah, when it was go time, the sense of urgency
ramped up offensively for the Philadelphia seventy six Ers, Maxi
with fourteen of his thirty nine in the fourth, Quinton
Grimes with nine points in the fourth quarter alone, and
they were able to retake the lead. And it put
the Clippers in an unfamiliar position because they almost led
this thing wire to wire after their being down five

to nothing. Yeah, credit the Philadelphia seventy six Ers. This
Clippers team, obviously maybe some tired legs after playing yesterday
in Boston, but a similar result, unfortunately, one positive. Kobe
Sanders again invaluable experience from him that he's getting right now,
especially light in ball games out there making winning plays. Look,

I know they reversed that call and they said there
was a foul in of beats Zubots, but that doesn't
gate the fact that Kobe Sanders had that timely rebound
that could have been. That was great instincts by the
young man. I feel like he is wise beyond his years.
If there's something to look forward to right now with
this Clippers team being four and ten on the season,
it is the fact that Kobe Sanders is getting big minutes.

Yeah, I mean thirty minutes today two of the biggest,
four of the biggest free throws of the game, Adam.
And this is a guy who's the fiftieth overall pick,
somebody who didn't start till his third year in college.
Five year college guy, didn't get invited to the NBA Combine,
went and played in Portsmith, which is the senior showcase,
and then got an invites straight to the NBA Combine

from there. What more can you say that Clippers credit
Lawrence Frank, Trent Rend and Mark Hughes, the entire scouting department.
They found a gem clearly with Kobe Sanders. I mean,
he has just looked so confident, so collected. I know,
the shot selection was great for the most part today,
seventeen points, a career high, beating his previous of nine.
The Clippers got what they need out of Kobe Sanders,

and they just they just fell short. I mean, I
think this is a it's a heartbreaker. I think it's
one you can definitely blame the tired legs and for
the Clippers, you got to start rattling them off at
some point because This has been a rough go to
the beginning of this road trip, a big win in Dallas,
but then back to back games where not only you
in it late, you got a chance to really create
some separation late and the Clippers could not do it

down the stretch.

Yeah, up by ten heading into that fourth quarter, just
to lose by two in Philadelphia, one ten to one

have legs left, might have gotten fouled on that right

wing attempt. It'll be interesting to see the two minute
report tomorrow on that from the NBA. He certainly thought
so was going up to the officials at the end.
That was the first of the two threes. He took
the very end of this ballgame to try to give
the Clippers the victory. Clippers, though they didn't get enough
from some of the others, beats the Zubats fourteen points,

of thirteen, it's not good enough. From Avitza Zubos, John
Collins just eleven on three of eight shooting Kobe Sanders.
He gave you everything, guys. I think I found the

with his hunched over dribble, he looks like a six

out there. Not the greatest athlete, but fights hard, plays hard.
Thought he had that offensive rebound or maybe he got

had nine of his nineteen points in the fourth quarter.

Those guys came alive when they needed to bogie one

ball game. That was good to see. He thought he
might get some minutes with all the guys being out.
As we found out earlier today, Derek Jones Junior is

out for at least six weeks, will be reevaluated in
six weeks with a sprained MCL. In some ways, it's
good news because, honestly, with how nasty that injury looked, yesterday.
I thought he tore something. So he will be back
this season, but Clippers are going to have to hold
it down without him. They obviously don't have Bradley Beal

for the entire season. They still don't have Kawhi Leonard.
He's with them on the road trip, but he hasn't

he went towards the officials. Unfortunately, it looked like a
game to me where the Clippers ran out of gas

in that final quarter. Philadelphia seventy six Ers did damage

They led by ten heading into the fourth. If you
do the math there and they lost this ballgame, it
is really difficult for a squad right now that found
out earlier today they'll be without Derek Jones Junior for

at least six weeks with a sprained mcl I am
happy and praised the basketball gods. It was not torn.
He could have been done for the season with what
I thought was a reckless play by Jaylen Brown yesterday
diving for that loose ball at the end of the
second quarter. But you're still without one of your starters
another one, so Kobe Sanders gets to start performs beautifully.

My player to Watch plays thirty minutes, has seventeen points,
five of eleven, three of seven from the outside thought
he was going to be heading to the free throw
line late in the ballgame. Well they reviewed that and
instead it ended up being Andre Drummond going to the
free throw line on the other end. So instead of

Kobe Sanders having a chance who hit some clutch free
throws late to hit a couple more to tie the
ball game, they end up extending it to a four
point lead. Brutal fourth quarter for the Clippers, who could
not guard Tyre Maxi or Quentin Grimes again. When they

left in the tank than the Clippers. You could see
those two are two of the quicker guards in the league.

He's just had thirty nine and fourteen points in the

from three. Now I'm not putting the game on him.
He's the one who gave them a chance to win
this game. He is being asked to do way too much. Unfortunately,

his partner out there and Kawhi Leonard can't stay healthy.
That's the ankle now on the foot. And I don't
even know how James Harden is able to play this
many minutes, like I tonight, it's thirty seven the double

have better options. CP three has looked like a shell
of himself. He has had a hard time getting the

on Coach Lou won't play the young guys. He's playing

guy for us to be successful.

The start of that second quarter where they let go
of the lead for a bit it came back down
to a one point lead for them, was disgusting. They
took like four to three pointers in a jump shot
to start that second quarter, where if you've noticed the rotations,
Visa Zubos comes out earlier in the first to get

back with the backups to start the second quarter because
in theory he should be the focal point. He didn't
touch the basketball I think the first four or five
minutes of that second quarter while they settled for jumpers
and three point shots. Zu didn't have a good game,
but that was ridiculous.

But I feel like this whole team has been subtly
for threes and I don't like it. I feel like
we need to attack the basket more.

How many guys do you have that you think can
attack the basket and get a step on defenders on

on his play. He's gonna have to figure it out
if he wants to, you know, remain as coach. But
then again, the guy.

out of talent because of bodies that are missing right now. Like,
if you're looking for the biggest reason the Clippers are
losing games and you want to play the blame game,

it's really hard to win without your best player. And
we've had to say that so many times over the years.
Turns out you're not the same team that you were
projected to be when you're missing your best player. Hopefully
Qui's back on Thursday in Orlando. They need him desperately.

Bradley Beal. They had big plans for him this season,
and I get why. I get why he could have
done some of that norm Pal stuff. John Collins, who

hasn't fixed anything, and then they lose their other point
of attack defender in DJ in a game where Quentin
Grimes and Tyrese Maxi are getting what they want downhill
in the fourth quarter. I'm sorry you want to find
other reasons, but the main reason by far is of

course injuries. Is that the only reason. No, but you
might want to start there before freaking out. Yes, they
got off to a slow start, even with Kawhi. They've
gotten off to slow starts like that plenty of times
and turned it around four and ten. I don't know

they've gotten off to this Slova start in the two,
one to three or Kawhi Leonard Era. Weird seeing Paul
George out there for Philadelphia today on a minute's restriction,
his first game of the season coming against the Clippers.
Like injuries aren't an excuse, they are a reason. It
is a players league. If you don't have your best players,

you're out winning much. I like the way they have
fought and played, more so the last three or four games.
They've looked more recognizable. The problem is they still are
at a talent disadvantage, and that makes it hard to
win games. To spend down the stretch when you're in
close games, when James Harden has done everything and probably

emptied the tank in the first quarter of this one

great athlete, playing hard defensively, with fouling a guy on

of them late in the game. Heady plays smart player.
He reminds me This is gonna sound crazy of a
six seven TJ McCollum, TJ McConnell, I should say, not CJ,
not a mix of CJ and TJ. This is high praise.

I don't know if he's gonna turn out to be
TJ McConnell. But his hunched over dribble a little bit,
his gait, his mannerisms out there, his lack of athleticism
he makes up for with effort, his headiness, just the
way he dribbles the ball in his shooting form, and

then the smart plays. I'm here for it. If that's
what they got the rest of the season. A guy
who can go out there and make winning plays for you.
That's a positive. He started this game. But none of
you Coach Lou haters will acknowledge that. You all think
if you fire Coach Lou all of a sudden, Kawhi
has never missed another game. DJ's coming back right away,

Bradley Beal's coming back. That's not how anything works. Look
at the real reasons for why they're losing games, being
in a talent disadvantage over and over again, and having
to play James Harden way too many misses to where
they're burning out of gas and there are guys under
performing too. Offseason pickups that we thought would be much better.

Clippers are four and ten. Gotta be better. Defensively, thought
they were better. They only turned the ball over ten times,
they gave up only nine offensive rebounds, so many areas
they cleaned up, and they still lost the ball game.
