Speaker 1 (00:00):
The La Clippers.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
The game is ended, gather around boys, time to recap.
Speaker 1 (00:06):
But the post game coverage is just getting started. The
successes the failure.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
Let's discuss this is Clippers locker Road breaking down today's
action with the pre and post game voice of the Clippers.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Here's Ada Moss led Man.
Speaker 4 (00:21):
It was good to see the Clippers backet into it
doom as they get the victory one twenty six to
one twenty two over the Denver Nuggets. They hold on late,
they execute late, and it's their eighth straight win here
in their new and first home. Welcome in Clipper Nation.
I'm Adam Oslin coming up. We got second half highlights,
(00:41):
your postgame box score, but first let's head over to
your radio voice of the Clippers in Carlo Jimenez. Carlo,
one of the best wins of the season. I think
we'll be saying that in game eighty two. That's how
big of a victory this was. This one has lasting,
staying power.
Speaker 5 (00:57):
It was huge to see this Clipper team get off
to the haunts start, Adam, then you go through some adversity,
you give up the lead, and then they just fight
every single second down the stretch.
Speaker 6 (01:08):
An impressive, impressive win.
Speaker 5 (01:10):
On arguably Adam the best offensive game of the season
for the Denver Nuggets. They tie a season high with
thirty seven assists, they shoot nearly sixty percent from the field,
and the Clippers still get it done against the Nuggets.
Speaker 6 (01:24):
What an impressive victory.
Speaker 5 (01:26):
All the credit in the world in this one has
to go to James Harden thirty nine points, he was
a rebound away from a triple double. And then Norman
Powell comes in and like he hadn't missed a game,
twenty eight points on five made threes for Norm who
was excellent for this Clipper team. So many positives, but
the fight in this one is the most impressive part.
(01:46):
The ability to get it done down the stretch. The
Clippers once again a close one here into it and
like you said, send this home crowd home happy.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
This was the type of victory in a fashion where
James Harden was so heroic in the second half, playing
each and every minute where I think it might vault
him into some MVP conversations. I know the efficiency numbers
haven't been great, but they're starting to turn around.
Speaker 7 (02:12):
And his leadership. When you see this Clippers.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
Team at thirteen and nine so far without Kawhi Leonard,
with Norman Powell out for six games. This was a special,
special game from James Harden, who looks like he's just
starting to get those season legs kicking in now. And
how about the big free throws down the stretch by
he and Norman Pale.
Speaker 5 (02:33):
Huge thirteen for thirteen for the line, Norman Pal five
for five. The Clippers got it done. That third quarter
you think about the Clippers went six straight makes were
either a Norman pal three or a James Harden three,
and that's how they closed the third. It was so
awesome to watch those two go in. Tanem you can't
double one of them because of Viatsa. Zubats once again
(02:55):
finishes with five assists. Clippers are eight and zero. Now
when he has four more assists, finds up one of
them open off the double team and they knock down
the shot. The Clippers a great job there, And Adam,
I want to shout out the Wall. Nine miss free
throws for the Denver Nuggets in a game they lose
by four. The Wall once again with a banner type game.
(03:17):
Here it into a dome. Steve Bomber has started a
trend do not expect another arena to be built without
some sort of edition of their own type of wall.
This is really truly a game changer for the Clippers.
It's a big reason why they've won eight in a
row in this building.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
Steve Bomber is an innovator, a trailblazer, and the Clippers
take on the Portland trail Blazers coming.
Speaker 7 (03:40):
Up on Tuesday.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
But let's continue to celebrate this one because Terrence Man
may have had a turning point tonight in the second half.
A mere coffee goes down. We're hoping for the best.
It looks like he was grabbing at was it his
writers left knee there.
Speaker 5 (03:55):
Carlo right knee, and it looked like Eli sent me
a note that he banged knees with the beats Zooba.
So just a little need and neee, which usually is
just a gnarley bruise. But we're gonna hope he's okay.
He did have a lot of ice on it towards
the end of that game.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
Well, hopefully he's alright and is able to go Tuesday night.
But Terrence Man in a big spot closing this game
out and getting that offensive rebound off the miss from
James Harden on the right wing. Harden gets it back
to him in the far side corner for a three pointerer.
Maybe the biggest sequence.
Speaker 7 (04:25):
Of the ball game.
Speaker 5 (04:25):
Yeah, I mean to talk about giving the Clippers another
breath and then capitalizing on.
Speaker 6 (04:31):
It in a far corner three. He missed just one
shot today.
Speaker 5 (04:35):
Adam fifteen points, three rebounds, was active defensively. And we
have talked to both Brian Shawn and ty Lou about
how maybe it shifted roles can take the pressure off
Terrence Man can make him feel like he can play
more freely.
Speaker 6 (04:50):
And it has.
Speaker 5 (04:50):
He has been a much better player coming off the
bench for this Clipper team. And has he said at
media Day, Look, he doesn't care if he's starting the game.
Speaker 6 (05:00):
He wants to finish the game.
Speaker 5 (05:01):
And he finished the game tonight for this Clipper team
with that huge rebound in that huge three. And this
win might feel like a big time momentum win in December,
but when we turned the corner at him and we
got a standings time in April, and the Clippers have
only played three games against the Nuggets and they have
the advantage in.
Speaker 6 (05:19):
The season series.
Speaker 5 (05:20):
With these two wins, this could matter these two teams
right now, sitting at seven to eight out West.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
Yeah, I wonder if they end up matching up in
one of those makeup games from theseason tournament like we
saw last season. But I'm with you, this is a critical, critical,
pivotal win that could have legs for this Clippers team.
I'm just so impressed and proud of the way they
closed after what happened in Friday night in Minnesota against
the Timberwolves, where you know, I called him out for
(05:47):
some late game or lack thereof execution with running the
clock down that far and not fouling tonight. Though they
played the foul game, they intentionally fouled Nikola Jokic late.
They didn't let them get off.
Speaker 7 (05:58):
A three pointer.
Speaker 4 (05:59):
In fact, Jokic goes one of two from the line,
James Harden puts it away at the free throw line.
There were just so many good things that I think
this Clippers team can build off of with their late
game execution.
Speaker 5 (06:09):
Out of this one, Carlo, Yeah, as someone blast the
music here and into it. I'd also like to point out, defensively, Adam,
the Clippers hold Jokic to nine points in the second half,
nine second half points for the NBA's best player, and
it's not even close. Nikola Jokic with another triple double,
his eighth of the season. But Tyleru talked about you
(06:31):
have to make him one dimensional. They allowed him to
score in Denver, they did not allow him to score tonight.
Let him be a rebounder, let him be a passer,
but don't allow him to do whatever he wants when
he shoots the basketball. Impressive stuff by this Clipper team.
Tylu talk about a start to the season, Adam. The
Clippers had a great start to the season. And like
you've mentioned multiple times on Clippers stock, Tyleru has been
(06:53):
near perfect this year.
Speaker 6 (06:54):
For the Clippers.
Speaker 4 (06:54):
Yeah, where would they be without coach lou Where would
they be without Jeff Van Gandhi, James Harden, Norman. There
are guys stepping up left and right for this squad
in the absence of Kawhi Leonard and with Paul George
going to Philadelphia, it is looking like addition by subtraction.
Here is the Clippers win tonight one twenty six to
one twenty two over the Denver Nuggets. Here at into
(07:16):
a Dome, Clippers open up this four game homestand with
a victory. They got a back to back coming up
Tuesday Wednesdays, starting with the Portland trail Blazers. Tip Off
for that game is at seven thirty. We get to
pregame shows starting right back here at six thirty. Carlo,
my guy, Good to see you. We'll have another warm embrace.
I'm sure even though we've only missed each other for
one day on Tuesday.
Speaker 6 (07:36):
All right, great to see you, Adam. I can't wait
to see you Tuesday. Let's keep this thing rolling. Eight
in or own can the Clippers making it nine?
Speaker 7 (07:44):
Let's go Clippers.
Speaker 4 (07:46):
Huge victory and they pull through down the stretch against
the Denver Nuggets and Nikola Jokic James Harden goes for
thirty nine after just having forty three a couple of
games ago. You're listening to your Clippers postgame show right here,

Speaker 4 (08:12):
Twenty six to one twenty two here into a dome.
Speaker 7 (08:17):
Market, eight eight.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
Straight victories where the Dome is home Clipper Nation. Great
job tonight. Once again the wall was active. You got
miss free throws by the Denver Nuggets, a big one
by Jokis down the stretch, and the Clippers got maybe
their biggest victory to date so far this season. Coming
(08:40):
up your complete post game box score, but right now
we got some second half highlights for you. Clippers were
tied up with the Denver Nuggets at the half. At
fifty nine. In the third quarter, the Clippers got ohso
hot from distance.
Speaker 5 (08:54):
Nor I'm on the right wing, waits for a screen,
holds the ball outside of the right kneecap.
Speaker 6 (08:58):
Triples, fires pits from Town Tiget pass for a zoo.
Speaker 5 (09:02):
Sin's right shoulder kicks Norman pal straight away three again.
Norman Pale looks towards the bench with a double by spflex.
Harden finds Norman Powell on the left angle, cross over
left hand. He's got the last six into the cunning
zoo Bot spins Harden open right wing three on target,
finds Norman Pown the left wing, retreats to the right
(09:23):
handed handle back to the left double team beats it
zero looks underneath Westbrook bats at Harden all alone for
the right wings, It's cash.
Speaker 9 (09:31):
James Harden cuts the Demerly in half and that time
out might come alone norm straight away three Clippers lead,
Norman Powell with twenty one. Harden drifts left wing, turns
the corner, step back three for the lead.
Speaker 6 (09:48):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
James Harden and Norman Powell went six of nine from
three in that third quarter, and Terrence Man hit a
fade away midy to and the third and the Clippers
were up ninety two to ninety. They had ninety two
points total Friday night against Minnesota. There was some foreshadowing
there though, that Terrence Man jumper. It would lead to
(10:13):
some more big buckets in the fourth Man right.
Speaker 9 (10:16):
Quarter three all cords ten for Terrence Man, James with
four fines. Man went three left bilbow jumper, Terrence Man
still perfect knocks down the minute, He's got a dozen.
It's James Hurst Murray, he gets downhill, he finds Man.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
We left corner three pux.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
Biggest shot of the game there from Terrence Man, and
he generated it off in offensive rebound on a miss
three by James Harden, who rewarded Terrence Man got it
back to him in the far side corner. That was
the biggest shot of the game, as Carlo mentioned it
gave them enough of a cushion. The Clippers played the
foul game. They hit their free throws, Denver did not.
(10:57):
Clippers go on to win one twenty six to one
twenty two. Hear it into a Dome over the Denver Nuggets.
Speaker 7 (11:04):
Huge victory Clipper Nation.
Speaker 4 (11:06):
More from your final box score coming up next right
here on the Los Angeles Clippers Audio Network.

Speaker 4 (11:21):
Clippers win one twenty six to one twenty two. Hear
it into a Dome over the Denver Nuggets. Welcome back
in I'm oudam Osland.
Speaker 7 (11:32):
What a win, eighth straight.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
Here at the Dome. The Dome is home after they
started oh in four year after they miss free throws
laid against Phoenix in their first game here. Tonight they
hit clutch free throws to put Denver away. Huge, huge
win and huge performers by James Harden thirty nine minutes
(11:58):
and has thirty nine points and played the entire second
half eleven assists, five turnovers. Hey, we're not going to
harp on that when you play the entire second half
and go thirteen of thirteen at the charity stripe and
put him up four to seal the game. Norman Palell
welcome back twenty eight points, had a quick seven in
(12:21):
the first quarter, had three threes in the third quarter
to match James Harden's three threes, a big floater in
the fourth, and also knocked down huge free throws. Terrence
Man off the bench as a mire Coffee goes out
in this game with a knee injury. Looked like he
banged knees with the beats of zoobots. Apparently, hopefully he's okay.
(12:42):
Terrence Man steps up twenty five minutes, fifteen points, six
of seven, two of two from three, and that offensive
rebound that led to him knocking down that three in
the far side corner play of the game. Terrence Man
looks to be back. Jordan Miller eight points, all coming
(13:03):
early in the second quarter, and coach Lou said he
has earned his trust. Now here we go, Here we go,
Clipper Nation. Maybe it is officially Miller time. All I
know is the Clippers just won a game with the
Denver Nuggets. Shot fifty eight percent from the field and
went ten of twenty four forty two percent. From three,
and the Clippers still figured it out. Both teams with
(13:25):
fourteen turnovers. Nuggets had sixty six points in the paint,
the Clippers with forty eighteen threes, though that's the difference
in the game. They hit eight more threes than the
Denver Nuggets, eighteen of thirty nine. That's forty six percent.
Last five games. I knew the Clippers were due. They
had shot just thirty one percent from three to last
five games. They exploded to shoot forty six percent from
(13:47):
three tonight, eighteen to thirty nine from distance, and that
third quarter was special. Outscored Denver when they made their
big push thirty three to thirty one, outscored in the
fourth thirty four to thirty two. Win four one to one.
Twenty two is your final. Clippers improve to thirteen and
(14:08):
nine on the season outside of Los Angeles. We're leaving
you until the Clippers take on the Portland trail Blazers
right back here at into a Dome Tuesday night on
the front end of a back to back tip off
that game against Portland seven thirty. Pre game six thirty
in LA, do not go anywhere. We got Clippers stop next.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
And with that, just like that another Clipper broadcast is
ended hoarding judging. This has been Clippers locker Road, a
postgame look at today's sci.

six nine eighty seven two five seventy is the phone number.
Big big win for the Clippers. We got postgame quotes
coming out. We'll give you from coach Lou talking about
Jordan Miller talking about James Harden playing the entire second half.
(15:46):
They didn't have KPJ. Instead of going to Bones Highland,
they just said, uh, well, we'll just play James Harden.
Moore played just under thirty nine minutes and had thirty
nine points, eleven assists, huge free to put it away
to put them up for late after they did what
I asked, play the foul game. Do not let the
(16:07):
Denver Nuggets get up a three pointer to tie it.
Beautiful execution down the stretch, the antithesis of what happened
on Friday night in Minnesota. The Clippers performed magnificently when
they had to, and it was a turnaround from what
we saw in Denver.
Speaker 7 (16:26):
Yes, they won that game.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
They also gave Yokich a look from three to tie
it after he had a career high seven May threes.
Coach Lou said that was a mistake this time. They
don't let him get the three off. They foul him
intentionally and he misses a free throw. I love seeing that.
That's the way you should always play it, in my opinion,
Play the foul game. It's strategy. Hits your free throws
(16:53):
and go home with a victory, James Harden said postgame quote,
I'm feeling a lot better. My laigs are starting too.
For an older guy in this league. It took me
some time to get there, but game by game I
continue to get better. He just had forty three a
couple of games ago against Washington. He has thirty nine
tonight against Denver, more impressive considering the opponent. Hey, maybe
(17:15):
the season legs are starting to kick in, because the
Burst is looking better than ever, at least in his
Clippers tenure. So far, he has looked as quick with
his blow by ability and turning the corner and getting
past defenders as quick as I've seen him in a
Clippers uniform. James Harden, that is trouble for the rest
(17:38):
of the league. It is time to talk about James
Harden being an MVP discussions, being in MVP conversations. He's
got the Clippers at thirteen to nine and Kawhi Leonard
hasn't played a game yet. It's incredible. Harden haters in
absolute shambles. Man haters in absolute shambles. Tonight, Terrence Man
(17:59):
his best game of the season, filled in admirably with
a mere coffee going down looked like he bang knees
with a Visa Zubats and Terrence Man biggest shots of
the game. That offensive rebound he had leading to him
knocking down that wide open three pointer. They left him open,
(18:21):
James Harden found him.
Speaker 7 (18:23):
And he sunk it.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
Made it one twenty three to one sixteen. Huge, huge shot,
biggest shot the game. Because Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokicic they
were starting to execute. Jamal Murray hit a three out
of the next time out. I'm so proud of t Man.
A couple of tough mid range shots. I'm telling you
(18:47):
that turnaround fade away in the far side, short corner
here to put him up ninety two to ninety at
the end of the third quarter. That was a big
confidence boost for Terrence Man.
Speaker 7 (18:57):
Big shot.
Speaker 4 (18:58):
He hit another midi in the fourth quarter to put
him up one eleven to one O five and the
Clippers knocked down a ton of threes, but I believe
the only two threes they made in the fourth quarter
were from Terrence Man. The Clippers went six of nine
from three in the third and it was three from
James Harden, three from Norman Powell. They went eighteen of
(19:22):
thirty nine overall from the outside. That's really the difference
in the ballgame. Denver ten of twenty four. They shot
it well, they just didn't get enough up. Denver shot
fifty eight percent from the field and the Clippers just
beat him by four. Denver had Aaron Gordon back and
the Clippers still beat him. They just got normOn Powell back.
He has twenty eight seven quick points in the first quarter,
(19:43):
big free throws late, a big floater in the fourth quarter.
God bless Norman Powell. I want to say he also
had a longer two in the fourth attacked the basket
going to his right of course. Yeah, he had that
(20:04):
shot at one thirteen to one ten from sixteen feet
out to make it one thirteen, one ten. And Julian
Strather was awesome for them. I think he's the big
wild card in X factor with Denver this season. If
he really progresses, that changes the direction of their team
because they've just lost so many guys. Bruce Brown KCP
Christian Brown has been good, but he made some mistakes.
(20:29):
Even though the guy's almost shooting fifty percent from three
on the season. He fouled James Harden, who, by the way,
three separate times fouled on a three pointer. Are you
kidding me? One of them was a four point play.
He made it, but I think it was Christian Brown
who got him in the fourth quarter on a three.
(20:49):
I've been saying JVG for MVP. Now I'm starting to
say James Harden for MVP. Put him in the discussion.
The entire media landscape, from ESPN to Yahoo to everybody
in between, had the Clippers as a bottom four team
(21:10):
in the West. They haven't had Kawhi Leonard play a
game yet, and they're thirteen and nine. This team is battling.
They are special. They look like a squad that is
fighting every game and that's all the fans won. They
(21:31):
are playing hard. What did coach Lou say in Honolulu
training camp? Our identity is going to be playing hard defensively.
Some of this is just greatness from Nikola Jokic. When
he had nineteen points in the first half but only
nine in.
Speaker 7 (21:50):
The second half.
Speaker 4 (21:51):
They slowed him down and he took a long break
from the end of the third So you got back
in the fourth fourth quarter and Coach Lou, with a
sense of urgency, said, we gotta play James Harden.
Speaker 7 (22:05):
He can do it, he can.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
Go the rest of the way because they lost, and
I thought this would be their undoing. They lost the
non Jokic minutes in the second quarter, and Denver at
one point was on a seventeen to two run, and
I thought, this is how the Clippers are gonna lose
this game. This is gonna be the talking point. That's
where it was lost. But when Jokic went out in
(22:27):
the second half early fourth quarter, Coach Lou stuck with
James Harden and chased the victory and got it. James
Harden plays the entire second half. Coach Lou said postgame
the reason he didn't rest James Harden in the second
half was due to feeling the game was hanging in
the balance with Nikola Jokic headed to the bench for
(22:48):
his usual rest period, and the Clippers were able to
stay in rhythm and didn't relinquish the lead. Even the
way it happened in that second quarter where the Clippers
led by eleven early, I didn't think they took bad
shots when they couldn't hit anything. They missed a ton
of bunnies. It was so frustrating. Zoo had an off
(23:08):
night shooting wise. He's usually very good against Nikola Jokic.
Just look at his last game. I think he had
twenty four and thirteen against Jokic in Denver. He's usually
stepping up. And I still feel like he made some
great passes out of the short roll. And once again
Clippers are undefeated when he has four more assists. They
are eight no so far this season. So even though
(23:30):
he was two for nine from the field and just
six points eight boards, put those five assists and there
were some key ones in there. While we have a
moment less Paulus ten seconds for station identification here on
five seven ELA Sports, this.
Speaker 3 (23:46):
Is LA Clippers Basketball AM five to seventy KLAC Los Angeles,
ninety eight seven KYSR HD two Los Angeles and iHeartRadio station.
Speaker 4 (23:57):
Very very impressive because Zubos wasn't at his best but
found other ways to contribute. And when that seventeen to
two run happened in the first half, I thought, that's it.
That's gonna be the turning point. Denver's not going away
and if you're even with them, they're likely leaving and
(24:17):
making big shots down the stretch. The Clippers answered, though
this time they answered. Kapros said Lawrence is killing it
with all these moves. Who told you that this summer?
Who posted all those pictures of Lawrence Frank cooking? I
told you he was cooking. He finally had some money
to play with since they didn't go over the second
(24:38):
apron and resigned Paul George and look at the team
he constructed. Jordan Miller had his moments early in the
second quarter where he went at Aaron Gordon not once,
but twice, went at Jamal Murray. Also, nice little run
from Jordan Miller, and coach lu said post game he
(25:00):
has earned his trust.
Speaker 7 (25:02):
That is big.
Speaker 4 (25:05):
Thomas said, Clippers have killer dogs. Seven empty boy keeps
putting this up, even though I already said.
Speaker 7 (25:13):
It like three times.
Speaker 4 (25:16):
Yes, they started owing for the dome. Now they've won
eighth straight.
Speaker 7 (25:21):
I love Clippers basketball.
Speaker 4 (25:25):
Let's get you a phone call, uh, Jack in La. Jack,
you're on Clipper stock without a mas and what's up?
Speaker 7 (25:32):
Jack?
Speaker 10 (25:33):
Adam? You already know what Jack in La this is.
Speaker 7 (25:36):
Oh my god.
Speaker 11 (25:38):
Jack and all of Los Angeles.
Speaker 10 (25:39):
Of course, listen, Adam. It's absolutely great to hear from you.
It's great to hear you on the radio and on YouTube.
I love everything you're saying, pardon looks phenomenal. He brought
back the cooking celebration, which I haven't seen from him
in years, and it's always been one of my favorite celebrations. Adam,
have we ever looked this good when Kawhi doesn't play games?
(26:01):
I mean every year Kawhi is missing games, and I mean,
you know, we have times we look good, but for
this consistent stretch, we look really, really good. Of course,
when he won his championship in Toronto, he missed a
bunch of games, and they looked good when he missed games,
and we just looked phenomenal. Even when Norman Powell is out,
we look great. Harden should be an All Star this year,
no doubt about it. I also think Harden is just
(26:22):
straight up a better player than Paul George. Last year
when we first got hardened, I thought it was Paul George.
I'm flipping. I think Harden is just a straight up
better player. He is a better playmaker. I even think
he's a better score I think he's katy. Paul George
is better at defense, but Harden's underrated defensively. I love
the scene. I agree with what you said. They found
their identity. This is a really special group. Every Clipper
(26:43):
fan I talk to you that's been a fan for
years and watching every game agrees, I can't get enough
of Clippers basketball. This fields like the peak of the
season of where we're at right now. Yeah, those are
my thoughts.
Speaker 4 (26:55):
Jack Coughlin again, Jack Coughlin, cooking Clippers talk here. I
think it's a fair point at this At this point,
James Harden is just such a good floor raiser for
your offense. I've said this multiple times so far this
season that I don't know if they could score eighty
five or ninety points without him. Everything he does offensively,
(27:18):
with him setting the table and everything that's being asked
for a thirty five year old, it's incredible. It is
otherworldly what he's been able to do. And he's just
starting to get his sea legs apparently and finding his shot.
And I wasn't sure if that was gonna happen until
Kawhi Leonard came back to just not make it so
taxing for him. But it's already starting, and therefore I'm
(27:38):
starting the James Harden MVP campaign.
Speaker 7 (27:41):
Jack.
Speaker 4 (27:42):
I think he is worthy considering what he's doing, what
is being asked of him and where this Clippers his
team is at being thirteen to nine, Adam.
Speaker 10 (27:51):
I absolutely love it. I'm gonna hop on that train
with you and I'm not getting off until the season ends.
I am amped. I was standing up in front of
the TV filmost that whole fourth quarter. He's looking like
young Harden again. I saw someone in the chat say
he's looking like Brooklyn Harden. No, he's looking like Houston Harden.
He can get these forty bombs out any night. He
does so much for the team. He is the system.
He's uno fear the beard hard in his back. Get
(28:15):
him in the All Star Game, get him in the
MVP talks. He is back and he's here to stay.
Speaker 4 (28:20):
Let's go Jack Coglan doing work here to night.
Speaker 10 (28:25):
I have to say I just love Terrence manson night.
I think his roll off the bench is great. I
think he really I think this is maybe his best
game of the season. Thought he was huge, Like the
third quarter buzzer near buzzer beater, that turnaround fade. He
had another mid range of the fourth that offensive rebound
and corner three I think was the biggest play of
the entire game. In the fourth quarter, put us up seven,
I believe. Oh yeah, that was after Harden broke Peyton
(28:48):
Watson and made him stumble in the back and hit
that mid range.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
I thought that Johnson and not Peyton Watson who crossed
over there.
Speaker 10 (28:58):
Oh Wesley at the Classic. Yeah, I just I just
absolutely loved, loved the games tonight. And this is something
I just noticed as well that I told my dad
when I was watching with him that there hasn't really
been a scuffle or a little fight, or even like
a whole lot of technical fouls in my opinion for
the Clippers this whole year, which feels new to me.
(29:18):
I don't know in recent years, you know, maybe tat
dev maybe Montrez, maybe you know, Paul George, even maybe Westbrook.
I feel like when at least get into something early
on in the season, or there'd be a tech or
there'd be something, I think that's very telling that the
team has just a calm demeanor and very at peace
and very confident themselves, and I love having the team.
I feel like it's the first time where I feel
(29:39):
like I haven't really seen a whole lot of technical
fouls or a lot of fights, and I think that's
just very telling of the vibes of the team and
the intuit Dome of course, just feels very calm with
you know, the whole ocean vibe that they have going.
I don't know, I don't know what you think about
that or if you've noticed it too, but that's my take.
Speaker 4 (29:55):
Jack Coblin here on Clippers stock, Jack, I appreciate the
phone call, and I agree with you. They are calm, cool,
collected and disciplined out there. They're letting their play do
the talking. They don't need to get in any dust
ups right now, even though they have a guy like
Chris Dunnan probably could He's been known to get in
some skirmishes. This Clippers team is just focused on playing
(30:18):
winning basketball and playing great defense, and their play speaks
very loudly right now. They win over the Denver Nuggets
one twenty six to one twenty two. Will take a
quick time out more of your phone calls eight six six,
ninety eighty seven two five seventy eight sixty six ninety seven,
two five seventy I'm out of moslind and you're listening
to Clippers talk. After the Clippers win one twenty six
(30:39):
to one twenty two by four over the Denver Nuggets.
Right here on the M five seventy LA Sports the.
Speaker 8 (30:46):
Clippers.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
You're listening to LA Clippers Basketball. Take us with you
wherever you are on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 4 (30:55):
Clippers win one twenty six to one twenty two over
the Denver Nuggets. I'm out of Mosland. You're listening to
Clippers on five to seventy LA Sports and at Clippers
Talk on the YouTube side. Who's back on Terrence Man's
side after the game, he just had when we brought
(31:15):
out the side arm and hit some tough shots, a
couple of really clutched mid range shots, and the biggest
shot of the game that three in the far side
corner after he got the offensive rebound off the miss
from James Harden, got it back to Terrence Man rewarded
him he hits the three. I could not be more
happy with the Clippers victory than what we saw tonight
(31:37):
for multiple reasons. One, James Harden steps up like that
and plays the entire second half heroic, thirty nine points
in thirty nine minutes, big free throws to close it out,
and that's the second part of this. He hit big
shots and the Clippers executed well to close out and
win the game in ways they didn't against Minnesota. Saw
(31:59):
some girl there, played the foul game the right way.
Didn't let Denver get off a three pointer foul, Nikally Jokic.
They did it right this time.
Speaker 7 (32:12):
I have been.
Speaker 4 (32:14):
Harping on the fact that late game execution has not
been good enough. Tonight it was in pretty much every facet,
and when do you do that against a team with
Jamal Murray and Nikally Jokic who were trying to hit
some big shots late. There were some really good defensive
plays by Vita Zubas late against Jokich. For those saying, you,
you know, scoring wise, yes, Vitazubas had a bad game,
(32:38):
but still was impactful out there. Everybody had their moment right.
Everybody for the Clippers team did a mere coffee before
you went down. He had those three threes. I think
all three came in the first half. Thirteen points, big
buckets from him. His confidence even though he's coming off
(33:03):
the bench again because normOn Powell was back and was awesome,
it didn't waiver. That's what I like about the versatility
with this team and just being adaptable, being chameleons Okay,
I'm starting, all right. I know how to play in
my role and what is required of me, whether I'm
a starter or coming off the bench. Terrence Man best
(33:26):
game of the season, fifteen points, six of seven. When
he's hitting the midrange like that, it's different. You know
he's feeling good. That is a very very confident sign
from him. Norm Powell, though the good news. He looked
(33:49):
exactly like Norman Palell tonight. You wonder with those tricky
hamstring injuries, how a guy's gonna look when he first
comes back. And Norman Powell picked up right where he
left off, including where he left off against Denver. In
when Game two he had thirty seven against the Denver Nuggets,
(34:13):
it would five of eight from three uber of fishing
out there. Let's go to Tagus and Walnut tageous, you
got thirty seconds here?
Speaker 7 (34:25):
What's up?
Speaker 10 (34:27):
Hey?
Speaker 12 (34:27):
What's up? At great win? Just like you? I got
a few receipts on my own. Last year, everyone had
said that Harden was at number three on the team,
and I had said multiple occasions I didn't agree with that.
I said, he's at least tied for second best on
the team. I know he's not a good defender with
Paul George, but what he does on the offense and
makes everyone better is just it outweighs what PG can
(34:52):
do and if you if you had PG right now
and not hard and where would the team be. Everyone
is better on the team because of him. I agreed
that we need to put him an MVP conversation and
once we get through this riga schedule, I have, you know,
a little strange feeling that we'll see Kawhi sooner than later.
I'm hoping at the end of the month and it's
(35:13):
a perfect time for him to come back.
Speaker 4 (35:15):
Let's go clips Tagus and Walnut making some great points
there and bringing out some receipts, saying that last season,
he pointed out that James Harden was already the number
two and better than Paul George and impacts the games
in more ways. James Harden running your team. It's proven,
(35:37):
he's never missed the playoffs. He is a damn system.
I mean, how can it be questioned at this point
it may have seemed cocky, some maybe thought it was arrogant.
Speaker 7 (35:53):
It's facts.
Speaker 4 (35:56):
I don't think he's gotten enough love for who has
been in this league. Honestly, James hard and has become
quietly kind of underrated, the way he elevates guys around
him while still being able to get his clearly is
top seventy five player ever stuff, which he is. And
(36:20):
he's been a great clipper. His leadership has been awesome.
He does what is asked of him. He was being
too passive at first and not trying to step on
anyone's toes, you know, to start last season. Then it
was all facilitating. Now he's asked to score more again,
he does.
Speaker 7 (36:38):
What else do you want?
Speaker 4 (36:40):
This is a guy playing at an MVP level and
getting a team to play above their heads. I think
that's fair to say they're thirteen and nine. What Bill
Simmons have him over under thirty seven and a half
wins this season? They're playing way above that and they
(37:01):
don't have Kawhi back yet. They get Kawhi back, they
can become a top ten offense very quickly. Well, they've
been a top five defense, they have still been a
bottom ten offense. They would be much worse than they
are on offense without James Harden. But you get Kawhi
back and I think you go up to being a
top ten offense. If he looks like last year's version
(37:23):
of Kawhi, that's all they need.
Speaker 7 (37:25):
Quick time out will come back. We'll get your phone calls.
Speaker 4 (37:27):
Eight sixty six ninety seven two five seventy eight six
six ninety eight seven two five seventy is the phone number.
I'm at a maslind and you'll listen to Clippers Sock.
You're on seventy LA Sports the.
Speaker 8 (37:39):
Clippers.
Speaker 3 (37:41):
You're listening to LA Clippers Basketball. Take us with you
wherever you are on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 7 (37:47):
Clippers win again. Add into a dome.
Speaker 4 (37:53):
Make it eight straight tonight Your final was one twenty
six to one twenty two. They pull through and crossed
the finish line against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggach.
Jokic still ended up with twenty eight points, but he
had nineteen of those in the first half. They were
better against him in the second half. Still had fourteen boards,
still had eleven assists, but he didn't have crazy crazy numbers.
(38:17):
They kept him more one dimensional. Twenty eight points is
under his season average. Krink Klies and Hey Norman Powell
matched that by himself. He had twenty eight on just
seventeen shots. Jokic just twenty eight came on twenty four shots.
Why Norm Powell five of eight from distance. But James
Harden thirty nine points on twenty six shots in thirty
(38:39):
nine minutes and played the entire second half. Can't say
enough about James Harden. Wonder if Sewn and Inglewood is
gonna praise James Harden. Sean you're on Clippers stop with
out of Maazen?
Speaker 11 (38:50):
What's up, hey, my friend? Yes, James did have a
wonderful game tonight. I saw a lot of good unsoorn
heroes there too. I want to talk about. But you
said something important about late game management, and I agree
with you one hundred percent. I think our record would
(39:10):
be about sixteen or seventeen wins we had better late
game management. But hey, we're still ahead of the curve. Okay,
as far as our record thirteen and nine, are you
kidding me? Without Kawhi, I mean we had other injuries. Mobamba,
Howard Porter Junior didn't even play tonight. So one of
(39:31):
the things I wanted to just talk about is just
the attitude. The Clippers come to fight, they come to play,
and they have no fear. And I like the fact
that you have Terrence Man coming off the bench because
he was a little hesitant when he was a starter,
but he comes out with out the bench with a
(39:52):
different attitude. I gotta make something happen. They're not looking
around and not deferring to the superstar. The superstar the
only superstar that they have right now is James Harden.
Speaker 4 (40:04):
I mean they give it to James Harden all the
time it deferred to him. He has one of the
highest USGE ratings in the league.
Speaker 11 (40:09):
Shows No, I'm just saying that he does what he
have eleven twelve assists a game, come on. So basically,
when they've given it to him, they know they might
get the ball back too. So I just think the
attitude that they're playing with is let me go for it.
I have courage. And then of course Norman Powell's attitude
is like a Kobe Michael Jordan attitude. I gotta go
(40:31):
get it. Yeah, you know what it's not. I love
that about him.
Speaker 7 (40:35):
I agree with Sean normOn.
Speaker 4 (40:36):
Powell has an appetite to score that was lacking pretty
consistently from Paul George normOn. Powell is going out there
to get buckets. He is gunning and when you're that efficient,
he has to They need him so badly. They still
went four and two without him, which was so impressive
to me and Sean. I appreciate the phone call. You
(40:58):
made a lot of good points there. The way this
team plays. But Norman Powell is just so necessary for
this Clippers team and them starting him early this season.
You know, some people were concerned about are they gonna
be too small, They're not gonna be good enough defensively.
It hasn't hurt them there at all. They're great defensively,
(41:20):
they're great on the boards. I did not think they'd
be this good with rebounding. That department I thought would
be a problem all year long. They're the best defensive
rebounding team in the league. They close out possessions, they're
a top three team when it comes to rebounding percentage.
I never would have foreseen that, And tonight the law
(41:40):
of averages worked in their favor. Part of it is
just giving Norman Powell back, because over their last five
games they had shot only thirty one percent from three.
If you go back to the last six all without
Norm Powell, they were just at thirty three percent from three.
So that is partially the Norm Powell effect. Without him,
you're not taking as many three as you're not getting
as many good looks they got up thirty nine. Coach
(42:00):
Lou says it all the time. Carlo Jumenez brought it
up during the game. But when they are taking more threes,
it's because they're generating very good looks and playing hot
potato around the perimeter. That is a good sign from them.
Quick time out, we'll come back, We'll close things out.
Clippers win one twenty six to one, twenty two here
and into it Dome the thirteen to nine, four games
(42:23):
above five hundred without Kawhi Leonard, and we've had some
good news on him recently, participating in some on court activities,
shooting a little bit, hoping he can come back sooner
than later. But the Clippers have been more than weathering
the storm without him. I'm not even gonna say they
have needed a life preserver, although James Harden is offering
(42:43):
some right now with his play. MVP like stuff from
James Harden, thirty nine points in thirty nine minutes. He
just had forty three points a couple of games ago.
I'm Adam Oslin and you're listening to Clipper sockeyre on
he have five to seventy LA Sports.
Speaker 3 (43:00):
You're listening to LA Clippers basketball. Take us with you
wherever you are on the iHeartRadio App's.
Speaker 4 (43:07):
With their best win of the season, I say so,
Clippers win one twenty six to one twenty two here
at into a dome over the Denver Nuggets, who were desperate,
who have already been called out after that loss a
couple of games ago to the Knicks. They, by the way,
just had three days off to get ready for this.
Clippers had one day off. They were at the rest disadvantage.
(43:29):
Clippers next game coming up still hear it into a
dome on Tuesday against the Portland trail Blazers, and they
owe them one after Portland beat them here back when
they couldn't wint into a dome. Now they've won eight straight.
Let's go to one more call before we get out.
George and Baldwin Park Georgia on Clippers stock with out of.
Speaker 13 (43:49):
Maslind Hello, I'm glad that the Clippers won, died, but
just question charisma of every Clipper player and also the
worst part is the radio reception here is just the
(44:10):
spand or bad.
Speaker 4 (44:12):
Listen on the iHeart radio app. You can listen on
the iHeart radio app. There's a Clippers channel.
Speaker 2 (44:19):
Well I know that.
Speaker 13 (44:21):
So what's the question to Internet too much? Or the
cell phone battery too much? And I don't want to
be too reliant on an Iheart's.
Speaker 7 (44:35):
Away with the future, man, George, what's your question? My
I guy?
Speaker 13 (44:40):
Oh don't know, yes, I just I just want to
how long? How many years do you be broadcasting Clippers?
Speaker 7 (44:52):
How many years have I been with the Clippers?
Speaker 10 (44:55):
Oh?
Speaker 13 (44:55):
No, no, how many years will will you be broadcasting
Clippers from now from from now on?
Speaker 4 (45:03):
Well, I don't I don't have an answer to that.
I mean I slip up and say the wrong thing
and my my tenure could be over tonight. Or if
you're asking about a five seventy I can't answer these
difficult questions of how long we'll be with the Clippers.
I just know we're glad to have a partnership with
the Clippers on five seventy LA Sports, and I am
(45:24):
certainly grateful for I think this is my seventh year.
What's the line in the first Ninja Turlls movie nineteen ninety.
Speaker 7 (45:35):
God, I love being a turtle. God. I love being
a Clipper.
Speaker 4 (45:39):
I love being a part of this organization, even in
a very small way, it has been a blessing for
my life.
Speaker 7 (45:46):
And I say that with all sincerity.
Speaker 4 (45:48):
Clippers win tonight over the Denver Nuggets on twenty six
to one, twenty two. Here at into a dome before
you get out of here, Thanks to the Clippers organization
and Steve Balmer for having me and for building this
basketball cathedral where the team is now one eighth straight.
That's not for no reason. The wall did work tonight again.
(46:09):
They got some key misses at the free throw line.
Russ Jokich late, it's working into a dome, is establishing
that home court advantage. And then some also want to
thank Ralph Lawler, Brian Seeman, Noah Eagle.
Speaker 7 (46:25):
Great calling the Ducks game yesterday.
Speaker 4 (46:27):
I know, Carlo Jimenez on the call. Great call tonight,
