Got your fall. Now it's timeto react to ballet Clippers basketball. This
is a playoff edition of Clippers TalkReaction and Analysis hosted by Adam Mossley.
You know he's feeling good. Takethe show with you anywhere you are and
get the podcast. I mean,iHeart radio while and now your host.
He makes everything happen. Adam Mosleyhashtag must win man with two ends at

(00:29):
the end. This Terrence Man getsthings started in the third quarter and the
Clippers go on to win Game threehere at Staples Center by a final score
of one oh six to ninety two. Welcome in the Clippers Talk. I'm
Adam Moslin. Eight seven seven fiveto zero eleven fifty eight seven seven five
two zero eleven fifty is the phonenumber coming up on the show. We

(00:51):
got postgame audio from Tylo and theplayers will get to your phone calls.
But I just ran the numbers onsomething because Noah Eagle and I were talking
about it postgames. Just how wellthe Clippers played defensively. They held the
Sons to twenty one points in thefirst quarter, twenty seven points in the
second quarter. That was their high. This potent Sun's offense was held to

(01:14):
twenty one points in the third quarterand twenty three in the fourth quarter,
and they went sixteen of forty ninefrom the field. In the second half,
they shot just thirty two percent, and after the Clippers at one point
had missed fourteen straight three pointers, they would hit some crucial ones in the
second half. They started off thegame three of seventeen through the first twenty

(01:38):
four minutes, but they would endup hitting nine three pointers in the second
half. They finished twelve of thirtyfour, but there were some big time
shots from Reggie Jackson. Who elseAction Jackson, who has played like an
outright superstar, has played like anAll star at least you could say in
these playoffs, but when it mattersmost, he's absolutely played like a super

(01:59):
star. He is at the topwhen it comes to playoff fourth quarter scoring
along with PG thirteen, who Iwant to say had seven of his twenty
seven points in the fourth quarter, including well in the third quarter in absolute
play to give them momentum. Hedid it twice in this game to end
the second where the Clippers were teeteringon having a really poor end to the

(02:23):
first half, Paul George returned andhe stabilized them let's think back to what
happened at the end of game two. He missed two critical free throws.
It didn't carry over into this game. They flushed it. They said afterwards
that they were going to let thatgame go. Coach lou said during the

(02:45):
pregame he called a couple of guysas soon as they landed back in Los
Angeles, and he told them, let it go. We gotta move on
next game up mentality as well asthe next man up mentality. But Paul
George at the end of the secondquarter generated ten points. Eight he scored,
and then another beautiful wrap around passedto Visa Zubats, who was huge

(03:07):
in this game, who had abig throwdown to end the second when they
were down by six, and theywere down by just two after they took
the Phoenix Suns best shot going intothe half, the Clippers were down forty
eight to forty six, and thencoming out in that third quarter, he
was my player to watch because well, really what he did in that game

(03:28):
six the last time the Clippers werehere at Staples Center when they closed out
the Utah Jazz, and Terrence Manabsolutely led them in that game with thirty
nine points and I wondered what thecrowd could do to him tonight, if
it could help fuel this Clippers teamand Clipper Nation. You came through once
again. Terrence Man had ten pointsin the third quarter, but it was

(03:52):
the way he was getting them, just driving and getting downhill. He's got
this move where he gets to thebasket, you think he's in trouble,
he uses his PIVO and he findsa way to bank in a layup over
multiple players. We saw it againstthe Utah Jazz. We saw it tonight
against the Phoenix Suns. But Iopened the show saying, must win Man,
because it just feels like there's somethingto Terrence Man when they need him

(04:14):
most. After he had a poorplay, a blunder at the end of
that game five here at Staples Centeragainst the Dallas Mavericks way back in the
first round, where he didn't takea layup. Well, since then,
he's been exactly who he thought hewas, a big time player when the
spotlight is on him, and hetook over in that third quarter early.

(04:38):
Then it was PG thirteen who atten of his twenty seven points in the
third quarter, including a three pointerhe banked in from half court. Noah
Eagle had it on the call.He said it. He practices this to
end every shooter round or every pregamewarm up he does. He practices that
shot. It wasn't luck. Itwasn't by happenstands. It was by design

(05:02):
from Paul George who first let theball roll out with one point one seconds
left. I believe it was.And the clock didn't start until he picked
it up. And he got agood enough look, and you could tell
right away, especially if you werehere at Staples Center. It looked online
and sure enough it would fall forhim. But for PG thirteen to come
back the way he did tonight withfifteen rebounds, huge rebounds in traffic.

(05:30):
He's been doing this throughout the entirethis entire playoff run. He's been playing
amongst the trees. I know he'ssix nine, but he's been getting rebounds
over DeAndre Jordan, or excuse me, DeAndre Aiden. DeAndre Jordan no longer
with your Los Angeles Clippers, ofcourse, but over DeAndre Aiden, over
Rudy Gobert, over Boban Marianovitch, over Chris STAPs Porzingis. He's given ty

(05:55):
Lou the ability for this team togo small and even though a Vizza Zoobots
is starting to really make his imprintin these playoffs. In this series as
he plays thirty two minutes a nightafter playing thirty four in game two,
Paul George has been fantastic crashing theboards but finishes with twenty seven fifteen and

(06:15):
eight assists. Did have six turnoversa couple of those head scratchers he seems
to have every game, but withthat high usage rating, it's going to
happen. He's not used to doingthis much playmaking, but it's something they've
been working on all season long, and he had some beautiful passes to vitza
zoo boss for throwdowns where he almostwas doing his best CP three impersonation when

(06:39):
the defense went after him and doubledhim. He found the open man over
and over again, and sometimes yesit was Terrence Man. One of those
turnovers he had was the Terrence Manon a runout who was trying to get
a quick bucket in transition in thethird quarter. Two of those happened actually
Reggie Jackson, I believe, wastrying to find him for an alley was

(07:00):
just a little bit too high. But Terrence Man, well, he can
get up some. He's got thosepogo sticks. Just couldn't get to that
one. But they have twenty ofthe Clippers thirty four points in that third
quarter, and then in the fourthReggie Jackson came up, so Clutch had
ten of his twenty three points there. Yes, he had twenty three.
He's averaging now nineteen points per gamein the playoffs and doing it on fifty

(07:26):
forty ninety splits. He has playedlike an absolute all star. Credit Reggie
Jackson. Credit head coach chlu whoinserted him back into the starting lineup in
Game three when they were down zerotwo to the Dallas Mavericks. That has
changed everything for this Clippers team aswell. But he hit two big time
three pointers in the fourth quarter, got into transition for a tough layup.

(07:53):
But there was a pivotal point whereI think this probably was the play of
the game. At the seven thirteenmark, the Clippers were up eighty nine
to eighty three after Devin Booker hita layup and he struggled mightily, but
he started to attack, He startedto go to the basket. Still just
finished five of twenty one after goingfive of sixteen in Game two. I

(08:16):
don't know if the mask is botheringhim, but I'm gonna credit the defense
by the Clippers. Patrick Beverly wasreinserted into the game at about the seven
minute mark and the Clippers desperately neededa stop. Paul George just had a
turnover where nobody was in the vicinityfor this one. Patrick Beverley comes in

(08:39):
and he strips Devin Booker, immediatelyputs up the number one finger like the
Kimbey Matombo, which he means firstteam All defense by putting that up,
and Reggie Jackson ends up getting intransition for that layup. And then it
was Reggie Jackson hitting a three pointerto put them back up ninety four to

(09:00):
eighty three. So they go frombeing up just six at eighty nine to
eighty three. A minute later, they're backup eleven. They led by as
many as eighteen. They go onto win by fourteen with a final score
of one oh six to ninety two. And I said this on Twitter,
but I don't know if we Idon't know if I was as confident in
Patrick Beverley looking like Patrick Beverley again, with all the injuries he's had the

(09:26):
past couple of seasons, but certainlythis year where he missed almost half the
season and Reggie Jackson became their defactos starting point guard. But in the
playoffs, going back to last round, after he didn't play much against Lukadanchich,
who's just too big and strong,he did wonders against Donovan Mitchell,
holding him to twenty eight percent fromthe field when he was guarded by Pat

(09:48):
Bev and he's doing the same thingnow against Devin Booker. He's never looked
better. He has turned this playoffrun around. Really when he came in
and started playing bigger minutes in Gamethree against the Utah Jazz, that was
critical for the Clippers. That's whenthings started to turn back in their favor.
But Patrick Beverley here at home,he and Terrence Man just continue to

(10:11):
egg on the crowd. Clipper Nationwas on top of the Phoenix Suns.
They made their voices heard. AndI think tonight, Clippers fans, you
made a huge impact here at StaplesCenter as the Clippers win Game three when
they're down OZ two once again, they win one oh six to ninety two.
And Noah Eagle and I were talkingabout this, but you think about

(10:33):
it the Phoenix Suns had won ninestraight games. The last time they lost
was May twenty seven. That washere at Staples Center in Game three against
the Los Angeles Lakers. That wasthe last time the Suns had lost in
the playoffs. They had one ninestraight, and you just wonder if doubt

(10:54):
could be creeping in, if they'rethinking, oh, no, this Clippers
team is going to do it tous now. They came back down O
two against Dallas, they came backdown O two against the Utah Jazz,
and we haven't lost in almost amonth. This was obviously a critical win.
They had to have it. Youcan't go down three games and none.
No team has come back from thatdeficit before. But the way it

(11:16):
happened, defensively putting the clamps clampCity was here tonight on the Phoenix Suns.
The way they did this Clippers team, even without Kawhi Leonard, even
without serge of Baka, they continueto play with hart and hustle and who
do we know that's at the forefrontof that but Patrick Beverley. But with

(11:37):
him and Terrence Man, it's doubletrouble out there. They both provide some
of that energy. But Clipper Nationyou did the same tonight here at Staples
Center eight seven seven five two zeroeleven fifty eight seven seven five two zero
eleven fifty. Before we break here, let's go to Morris in Long Beach,
Morris, what's up? Y'ar?On Clipper's dock without a mosslin?

(11:58):
I am the name. The movieis gonna be called the Chiropractors the Los
Angeles Clippers. You figure out who'sgonna play your role. Uh, and
of course Tyrone lose the Coro pactor. This guy just fixes it, Okay.
I mean, whatever the situation is, he gonna figure out a way.
I mean this, wait a minutenow. I know about luck,
but this is gonna beyond luck. This is gonna beyond luck. This guy's

(12:20):
a damn genius. Straight up.I don't know how they won this game.
I watched the game. It wasthe time when the Clippers miss thirteen
straight threes. You lost it all. Know they don't lose their game.
They play some stellar defense. Andyou're right, Patrick Beverley, you don't
lost his mind when it comes todefense. Here's the first defensive first team
on defense, and watch this.Watch this. If you want to get
people excited, do a throw down, slam dunk right, everybody get crazy

(12:43):
behind us, So I'm for aslam dunk right. Let Pat Beverley's steal
the ball from somebody. It excitesthe whole team. Everybody gets excited,
and then he's hitting those three spotup threes. I'm gonna tell you something.
The name of the movie is calledThe Chiropractors Time Round because if the
guy's fixing everything, I don't knowhow he does it. I don't know
how he does it. And goodluck in the next game because I don't
know how he does it. GoodMorrison long beats there eight seven seven five

(13:07):
two zero eleven fifty eight seven sevenfive two zero eleven fifty. Just go
back to when the Clippers were downzero two to Dallas in the first round.
What were people saying? I guessit's not going to be much different.
That should have kept Doc Rivers.Look at what coach Lou has done,
the adjustments he has made, They'veall worked to perfection. He's not

(13:30):
afraid to play anybody, start anybody. He just pushes the right buttons at
the right times, and he putsguys in a position to be successful out
there. The Clippers have gotten onthe board in the Western Conference Finals.
It is their first win ever inthe Western Conference Finals, and they do
so in their first home game inthe Western Conference Finals here at Staples Center.

(13:52):
They defeat the Phoenix Suns by ascore one oh six to ninety two.
Coming up next, we'll get backto your phone calls eight seven,
seven, five two zero eleven fiftyand you'll hear from the chiropractor as Noah
Eagle named head coach tlu More clipperstocklive from Staples Center. I'm out of
Oslin and you're listening to the PatriotAm eleven. Mama goes that, man,

(14:18):
how are you feeling about it?Now? The home of the La
Clippers and the Western Conference Finals. This is LA Clippers playoff basketball. As
the two men bounce quickly for Georgegets it about sixty feet away. George
to the full court logo, putsit up, puts it in. Paul
George up the window. He doesit every pregame, makes one of those

(14:43):
before the game, and it allpays off. As George goes class to
finish the third Paul George at StaplesCenter. Everybody here on their feet with
that ending to the third quarter, but there's Noah Eagle just said at that
half chord shot, and the Clippersgo on to win Game three thanks the

(15:05):
threes like that, they win oneO six to ninety two here in the
Western Conference Finals over the Phoenix Suns. Clippers still down two games to one,
but they have been here before. They don't panic, They stay Reggie,
and they stay steady. Reggie Jacksonsaid after Game two, it was
almost like he was annoyed that themedia was asking him questions about being down

(15:26):
zero two again. He was like, Yeah, we've been here, We're
good, We're okay. But torespond like this after the way they lost
Game two, with the deflating DeAndreeighton put back jam on the inbounds pass
by Jay Crowder, who would foulout in this game, and with PG

(15:46):
thirteen missing those two free throws againstthe Phoenix Suns team that had not lost
in over a month, to beatthem by fourteen and really control this game
in the second half with their defense. What a win? Clipper Nation eight
seven seven five two zero eleven fiftyeight seven seven five two zero eleven fifty
is the phone number. Let's goto Caleb in Ohio. Caleb, What's

(16:10):
up. You're on Clippers stop withoutamazin? How you doing? Hi?
Man? Oh, I'm good.I'm a Staples Center Love and life.
What's up with you in Ohio?Oh? It's beautiful weather. But anyway,
I'm still confident. I've spoke toyou at the end of the last
series. I've said that they're gonnapull this off, and I still have
that confidence that they're gonna get thisdone. I just like how taylu he

(16:36):
let the first two games fly toget to know the Phoenix Suns. We're
gonna win this series. I'm akid, so Clippers, how can you
not have confidence with this team? They just did it twice before. Nobody
had done that. If they doit again, I mean talk about team
of destiny, but this Phoenix Sunsteam, I think they feel they got

(17:00):
some of that same magic. They'vewon nine straight games coming into Game three
tonight, and they had been playinggreat. CP three returns. He struggled.
He looked a little bit out ofrhythm. He still had twelve assists
to just two turnovers, but hewas five of nineteen from the field,
and the MIDI just wasn't there forhim like it normally. Is it wasn't

(17:23):
that automatic. And I do wantto credit the Clippers defensively. They were
rotating perfectly. They were throwing multipleguys at he and Devin Booker, including
a Vizza Zoo Bots who I don'tthink CP three got him once when he
pulled him out to the perimeter andgot that mismatch didn't happen. Big Zoo
was unbelievable tonight. He had sevenand seven after the first quarter. He

(17:47):
was so active defensively and on theboards, and it looked like maybe with
the way things ended in Game twowith DeAndre eight and having that throw down
over him to win it, hetook it to heart. He took it
as a challenge. We've seen thatbefore from Big Zoo, and he absolutely
responded. Tonight, DeAndre Aden hadeighteen and nine. He had ten of
those points in the first quarter, but not getting to double digits on the

(18:11):
boards and the Clippers winning the reboundingbattle by eight tonight thanks to sixteen from
a Vizza Zoo Boss was six ofthem being offensive rebounds. He led them
in the plus minus category. Whowas a plus twenty eight. Big Zoo
came through. Let's go to Tagusand Walnut Tagus, you're on Clippers stock
without in Austin. He had didthat third quarter of Terrence Mann kind of

(18:36):
fire up the crowd like he didGame six of Utah. Oh it was
wild here, Staples, Censor wasabsolutely rocking. It felt very similar,
right, right, That's that's whatthat's feeling. It got because he energized
them when things were kind of lookinga little down. But when I looked

(18:56):
at this game, I'm thinking thatit seemed like, yeah, Chris,
Paul and Booker, they're not goingto shoot this poorly next game. But
it's not like the Clippers really shotthe ball well either, and they had
a lot of open looks. AndI think also in that second quarter and
when they when Tyler put Rondo andI felt like that six minutes was really

(19:19):
brutal for the Clippers. They couldn'tget anything going. He had turnovers.
And I know what he's trying todo because when Reggie and Paul Georgia out
of the games, he's trying tofind another playmaker. But for some reason,
it's just not working. So doyou think next game that he might
shortest minutes if it goes the sameway, and maybe those minutes end up

(19:41):
going to man, Reggie Jackson orLuke Konnard because Luke Kennard right now,
he's ready to shoot the ball. And it's so nice to see him playing
with this confidence because he feels likehe's the best shooter out there right now.
But what are your thoughts at him? I appreciate the phone call,
tageous Jon Rondo, call it whatit is. He's been in a funk.

(20:02):
He was so good for them inthe regular season, but for whatever
reason, he's been struggling mightily herein the playoffs. And if the Clippers
had lost this game, and Ido think Paul George got them back on
track when he re entered the gamelate in the second quarter, but Jen
Rondo had three turnovers during that stretchyou're talking about where Phoenix had that six

(20:22):
point lead all of a sudden. He just hasn't looked like himself. And
I'm not sure why, because he'sbeen one of the best playoff performers.
We've seen it. We just sawit six months ago in the NBA Finals,
back in the bubble. But Ido think there's a method to the
madness from the mad scientist that ishead coach tlu because they're down so many

(20:44):
guys right now. They could reallyuse Jen Rondo if he could find his
rhythm, if he could get backand sync with this team and be that
orchestrator out there on the floor. We said this about Patrick Beverley, but
it would feel like a postseason pickup all of a sudden. But he
struggled in the second He ended upplaying, uh, just seven minutes.

(21:06):
That was the only stretch he wasout there. He didn't get back out
there in the second half and hadthree turnovers and they led to seven points
a quick seven. They were liveturnovers and Phoenix absolutely took advantage of it.
All right, let's hear from thehead coach t Lou We'll get back
to your phone calls, Jeff,Sean Marvin. We'll get to you at
eight seven seven five two zero elevenfifty eight seven seven five two zero eleven

(21:30):
fifty. We're taking you to thetop of the hour at ten o'clock.
But here was coach Loop post gameafter the Clippers win Game three one oh
six and ninety two here at StaplesCenter. It is there something that keeps
happening before that. I'm like onthe text message Chaine, what keeps happening.

(21:52):
I don't know, I don't likeit, I'll tell you that.
But you know we've been a resilientteam all season, all your loan.
You know, first one get credsto Marcus Morrise. You know he was
hurt. You know, I didn'tknow he was gonna be able to go
tonight, and it gave us allhe had, you know, two victories
you know down the stretch, whichwe needed. But like just a total
team effort. You know, ourguys just keep grinding and keep fighting.
You know, we know our backsagainst the wall too, but we never

(22:15):
give in. I mean, thejob packed every been doing, you know,
it's been, you know, tremendous. I thought Zoe was really good
tonight, you know, Reggie, you know, down the stretch PG through
the first three quarters, and hegot tired, but you know we had
to play him the whole second half, you know, so I just thought,
you know, a halftime, wechallenged the guys move to basketball and
make the right play. I thoughtwe just drivel too much in the first
half, and the second half Ithought were going did a good job of

(22:37):
sharing the basketball, moving it andgetting guys over the shots. Thanks for
the next question from from eating untilyou I go into Ramona, go ahead,
Ramona, Hey Todd, what youknow when you guys went out and
got Reggie Jackson, he was Ithink he's one of the last people added
to this roster. What did youexpect he was gonna be able to give
you and compared to what he's actuallybeen able to give you. Well,
come into the season, when wefirst signed our coaching staff, we talked

(23:02):
about, you know, him potentiallybeing a starter because of how we wanted
to play and you know, gettingPG and Kawhi, you know, the
ball in their spots and so,you know, unfortunately Pat Betley got hurt
a few times this season and Reggiebecame a starter. He did a great
job, and you know, ournumbers with him as a starter was you
know, all the charts, youknow, as well as a pat as
well, but offensively we really tookoff. So you know, he's been

(23:23):
great. You know, so assoon as he stepped into that role and
he made it easier for PG,made it easier for Kauhi, we really
started playing, you know, agreat offense, having a great offense,
and just never stopped from there. So I'm just happy for him. You
know, he had a heck ofa year just to keep pushing. That's

(23:44):
a sting wine, Chris shooting wine. They never ever felt like he Regrythm.
That's obviously they changed one. Ithink I'm starting with Pat and Zoo.
I think, you know, reallyhelp out defensive intensity, you know
PG have him score and make theplace for our team. I think,

(24:06):
you know, without him having toguard Booker takes a lot of pressure off
of him offensively. Pat, Billianand Zoo together you know, that combination
is believing one. Like I said, past, the best Vivy Challenge guy
in the game, there's gonna blockyour shoper behind the contest from behind and
make it hard on you. Hegets into the ball. You know,
he's physical, and I just thinkmaking that change with him and Zoo.
You know, Zoo at the rimwith the verticality and Pat to be able

(24:30):
to protect him on the pull upjump shot. So that's been a big
change in the Bigges, part toour defense and part from the first round
parts the second rod you talk aboutforgot to accept the roles fifty. I
mean, you, Andrew's all aboutwinning and those guys are winners and you
know, to be two starters andnot play at all the Dallas series the
last I think four games, fivegames, and then come into the Utah

(24:52):
series and zoo and not play much, you know, because it's going small
because of Gobert and Pat you know, the job of the on Donovan Mitchell,
you know, and now we needboth of those guys come back and
start again. They've been phenomenal,so you know, that's what winners do,
and they want to win and whateverit takes, they're gonna do that.
So I'm just happy for those guysto finally get their Mommy, I
love. I was gonna said sowith this before the game about team joking

(25:15):
about you, Bill Belichick and adjustmentsand whatnot. I mean, there's some
proxinity there, but when you hearthat, the team will buy into what
you're selling as far as adjustments, and then I'm applying to effectively, like
how does that make you feel whenit works someone? And even when it
doesn't work well. First of all, I got a lot of respect for

(25:38):
Belichick. I'm nowhere near him.Six super Bowls and by the best coach
ever you know football, you know, in NFL history, But it means
a lot, just to you know, just for those guys who trust me
to understand that whatever I'm doing isthe best for the team, you know,
not for me, and I justwant to win, and you know,
making adjustments, you know, sometimesit's tough because adjustice me. Some

(26:00):
guys can't play, you know, some guys play more. And you gotta
be able to accept that. Andthat's the biggest thingment You have the communication
with your team all year long andjust talk about one common goal and that's
winning. And all of our guyson the board, you know, so
you know, I think for howto make an adjustment, to try to
do the right thing, you know. But these guys that won't have to
go out and execute, they'd beendoing a great job with that so far.

(26:22):
There was Coach lou post game afterthe Clippers win Game three here at
Staples Center, one of six toninety two. Listen to this stat,
Coach TLU when being down O twoin a series is four and two.
He's still won four of them, just lost two. The rest of the

(26:44):
coaches in the history of the NBAare twenty and two ninety nine. In
that scenario, the adjustments work, and he started there talking about Reggie Jackson
and just how good he's been forthis team all season and he wasn't even
with them to start training camp. And I've said, this guy looks like
an All Star in the playoffs,he's been that good for them. Well,

(27:07):
he just had his seventh twenty pluspoint game of these playoffs. The
other seven players to do that PGthirteen Drey Young, Kevin Durant, Janison
and and Kumbo Kawhi, Leonard Tobias, Harris Donovan, Mitchell, Devin Booker,
Joel Embiide, Nicola Yokich, andChris Middleton. There's only twelve guys

(27:29):
like and Reggie Jackson. As myfriend Lucas hand put it, he is
one of them. It is incrediblethe efficiency with his offense here in the
playoffs and the big shots he's beenable to make. And again, it
was that Patrick Beverly steal on DevinBooker with about six and a half minutes

(27:52):
left that led to a layup intransition for Reggie Jackson. I think it
was the biggest play of the gamebecause things were teetering back in the favor
of the Phoenix Suns, but theClippers would go on to win let's go
to Sean and Inglewood. Sean, you're on Clippers stop without him awft,
Hello to my friend and wonderful Clipperswin. I want to first of all

(28:15):
say Patrick Beverly was the MVP ofthe game because you can put Beverly on
Booker and now you don't have todouble teams so much. And so people
were saying that Booker wasn't shooting well, but it was because of the defense.
Also, then you had Zubach comingout to check Chris Paul, and
Chris Paul wasn't really looking forward toshooting over Zubach. He bothered Chris Paul

(28:41):
just enough so Chris would miss. That was also good defense. And I
just want to say Paris Man,of course he's I got a nickname for
Terris Man. I'm gonna call himMotor because he just keeps going and going,
and he actually makes the Clippers playfaster, and so the compensates a

(29:02):
little bit for maybe the lack ofnot having Kawhi Leonard because now you're playing
faster, you're getting your shot earlierin the break, and you're getting a
good look every time down. Soanyway, good good win for the Clippers.
Good decense, and everybody talks abouthow poorly Phoenix shot. Just think

(29:22):
about the Clippers was swelve with thirtysix and three pointers. That's thirty three
percent. They averaged forty five tofifty percent on the three. So basically
they could have had six or sevenmore threes go down this game. And
one other things Utah, the firsttwo games were close and then the Clippers
start blowing them out. Actually thisthis series should be three old Clippers because

(29:48):
both of those games the Clippers couldhave won and seenis and they were very
close games and then they blew themout today. So watch out. As
I said before, Clippers is sixJohn and Inglewood thank you. Eight seven,
seven, five two zero eleven fiftyis the phone number. Terrence Man

(30:10):
provides something this team needs, whichis getting downhill as you mentioned there,
getting quick buckets. But he outmuscles guys at the rim. I mean
we saw it with Rudy Gobert. No Eagles talked about him being fearless.
That throwdown he had on Rudy inGame five in Utah. That could be

(30:32):
one of those plays you look backupon during this Clippers run and remember forever
sand lost style for ever. Allright, We'll take a break. We're
not going till four ever to nightforever, just until ten pm. We'll
get back to your phone calls nextyear. On Clippers stock eight seven seven
five two zero eleven fifty eight sevenseven five two zero eleven fifty What a

(30:57):
man, What a man, Whata mighty man. That's Terrence Man.
You're listening to Clipper stock from StaplesCenter after they win Game three by fourteen.
They're back in this series. Thisis the Patriot Am eleven fifty boy
ever there the LA Clippers and thePhoenix Suns. This team has those championship

(31:27):
ingredients. This is LA Clippers WesternConference Finals. Basketball hope puts your right
to let flip to the head. It's supouts running your rim to rim,
visit all the way up pill witha rebound on the footback. He's doing
it again at Staples Center. TerrenceMan electric find the crowd holding his chest

(31:48):
up to ten points and the Clipperslead fifty six to fifty three. Right
place, right time. Terrence Manhad two offensive rebounds, had ten of
his twelve points in that third quarterwas the spark of a twenty one to
three run by your Los Angeles Clippers. As they would go on to win
by fourteen. Here at Staples endGame three with a final score of one

(32:10):
oh six to ninety two over thePhoenix Suns. We'll welcome back into Clippers
stock. I'm at a maslin eightseven seven five two zero eleven fifty eight
seven seven five two zero eleven fiftyin speaking to that third quarter and Terrence
Man, my friend Law Murray fromthe Athletics, just put this out.
The Suns had a fifty three tofifty lead with ten minutes left in the

(32:31):
third quarter. The Clippers went ona ten o run broken by a CP
three three, then in an elevenoh run. After that, there's your
twenty one to three run. Andduring that seven minute stretch, the Suns
had zero assists, five turnovers, missed nine of ten shots, and Terrence
Man had more buckets than they hadpoints four to just three points for the

(32:54):
Suns during that seven minute stretch inthe third quarters. Win Game three,
they're still down two games to one. Game four is coming back to Staples
Center Saturday night. Tip time isthat six pm. Just like tonight,
we'll off Clipper's countdown four you startingat five pm. Let's go to Marvin

(33:15):
in downtown Los Angeles. Marvin, what's up here on Clippers stuff? Without
a muslin? Hey, I didn'tgreat win and I must need it win.
I do have a right for theNBA so called analysts where they're saying
it's over, it's overwinn It's reallynot. Both teams have been pretty competitive.
Games have been intense and closed, and it could have gone either way.

(33:37):
So all we can ask from theClippers is to put themselves in a
position to win the game. Andthat's what they've done so far. And
give credit to Hi Luke for makingthe adjustments on defense and speed with Patrick
Beverly and team man, and let'sgo ahead and do it three in a
row. Let's keep doing the ropea dope like we did with a mapred

(34:00):
them and the Jet. Thanks Marvin. I appreciate the phone call a basketball
game nowadays, in this modern erahere in twenty twenty one, that you're
never out of it because three pointsshooting can get you back into a game
quickly. The Clippers went twelve ofthirty four from three. That's just thirty
five percent. This team shot fortyone percent from distance throughout the entire season.

(34:22):
Nobody was better from three and Ihad a concern through the first two
games because they had outshot the PhoenixSuns from distance. They hit seven more
three pointers than them in Game oneand Game two, and they still lost
both of those. But their defenseprevailed in this one, and it was
a lot of Patrick Beverley and aVitsa Zoo Boss. That was something we

(34:44):
heard from Coach Lou about last segment, talking about how good those two play
next to one another, those rearview contests, those blocks that Pat Bev
gets on superstars in this league, like Devin Booker Van Mitchell, I think
it puts some doubt in their mind. It creeps in when you know,

(35:05):
at any point Patrick Beverley is rightthere, and I wasn't sure if you
could get back to this level wherehe is back to first team All Defense
Patrick Beverley, but he and aVisa zubas a great defensive tandem out there
on the court. And that wasthe latest adjustment from t Lou going back
to Game two Tuesday night, putthem into the starting lineup. It's worked,

(35:29):
wonders. I also have this statfor you, Paul George tonight with
twenty seven fifteen and eight. Hehas scored twenty plus points in sixteen straight
games, the longest streak in Clipper'shistory and the longest active streak in the
NBA. And he blew a kissto the crowd after he kissed that three
pointer from half court in to endthe third quarter. Let's go to Ryan

(35:52):
in Los Angeles. Ryan, what'sup? You're on Clipper's stock without of
Auslin. Hey, great win tonight. It was a US win games.
You can't go down three out ofthis team. I mean, for all
the Clipper fans out there, let'sjust be honest here for a second.
This team should be up to oneright now. They should Paul George hits

(36:12):
those free throws. We're up toone. This team has played better than
the Suns in the three games, than the Sun tap the Sun's one that
combined seven points at home, Clippersjust won by eleven are sixteen? Excuse
me? The Clippers when they playtheir best are the best team in the

(36:35):
NBA. You just hit on thatstat of the three points shooting. That's
that's what's gonna keep you in games. And the biggest ingredient you just hit
on that too. It's the defense. You gotta play that defense. And
look, let's be honest too.CP three wasn't one hundred percent tonight.
He wasn't great. He should getbetter as the series rolls along. The

(36:55):
other question is gonna be, man, do we get Kauhi back? Do
we get the claw back for thisseries? Because I'll tell you what,
this Clippers team is ready. They'reready to win this thing. They're showing
the heart, they're showing the britin Tyler Man. He's a fantastic coach
and he's really made a lot ofthe adjustments for the series. And I'm
really excited to see what these guysdo in the next game. Ryan,

(37:19):
I appreciate the phone call you bringup. How close the Clippers lose when
they do lose in the playoffs.Listen to this stat after losing by one
in Game two in Phoenix. Inthe Clippers seven losses this postseason, they've
come by thirty seven total points. That's an average of losing by just five

(37:42):
points. They're always right there. They battle even when they don't have their
best. It happened down twenty onein Game two against the Utah Jazz,
and they could have taken either ofthe first two games in this series.
In Game one they were down twowith twenty two seconds left in Phoenix,
they were right there. But tonightwhen they play from ahead, when they

(38:05):
get that lead like they did inthe third quarter, and I do think
being back at home in front ofnineteen thousand screaming, raving his fans for
Clippers basketball, it made a hugedifference. It kept the pedal to the
metal. It helped this team downthe stretch just dig deep and find that

(38:27):
energy. And that twenty one tothree run that was critical. They had
to have it. They had tokeep pouring it on and playing this type
of defense where you're swarming and absolutelylocking up. And yes, CP three,
he'll get back in rhythm. We'renot worried about that. We know
Chris Paul. He's always been agreat playoff performer, regardless of what people

(38:51):
say the narratives week, look atthe numbers. He's had a couple of
bad moments, but he's always beenexceptional in the playoffs. Expect him to
play better, say with Devin Booker. But the Clippers had to have it
tonight and they win by fourteen hereat Staples Center. Let's go to and
you know what, let's take aquick break. No, I'm sorry,

(39:13):
Zach. I'm going back and forthhere, Kwami in Los Angeles. I'm
discombobulated. I'm standing up at StaplesCenter, just like after Game six.
Kwami, what's up? It waselectrifying us there tonight. I'm still feeling
the juice. I can't sit down. I'm big hit. I go.
I go back to being a teeneggs at the sports arena where I could

(39:36):
buy noseblee tickets and then by theend of the game, I'd be sit
in court size. So you know, to see that arena rocking the way
that it was tonight, just itjust it's undescribable. And I have to
give a big shout out to thisfront office because the coaching of tylu,

(39:59):
the a drafting of Terrorist Man,the resigning of Reggie Jackson, tradings for
Marcus Morris, convincing Kauai and PaulGeorge to come. I mean, I'm
so excited about our chances. Idon't even know what to say anymore.

(40:20):
This team will leave you a speechlessQuam, although another Qualmie would not be
speechless. But we appreciate the phonecall you bring up. Marcus Morris,
and that was someone else who coached. Lew highlighted post game because he's been
playing hurt. They're so banged up. Guys are fatigued. If you were
here at Staples Center, you couldsee it with your own eyes. And

(40:43):
Paul George doesn't have quite the burst, that doesn't have quite the explosive miss,
although he had that big throw downthe first half, but when he
was fouled by crowd or going upher two hinted Duncan transition, he just
wasn't getting up as much. Youcan see it. But they dug deep,
they found a way, and Ithink the crowd supplied energy for them.
But Marcus Morris playing through it,played twenty three minutes, has that

(41:06):
left knee injury, same thing hehad going on to start off this season.
Well, he had one three pointerin the third quarter one in the
fourth. Both were big, samewith Luke Kennard hit a three and the
third hit a three and the fourth. The Clippers win game three, one
oh six to ninety two. Hereare Staples over the Phoenix Suns coming back.

(41:27):
We'll get to your phone calls.Oh, Jeff and Tarzana still online.
I don't want to make him waittoo long, but yeah, one,
we're sitting and we'll have more postgameaudio from the players. I'm Adam
Oslin live from Staples Center after theClippers win Game three, and you're listening
to the Patriot Am eleven fifty.Who how are you feeling about it?

(41:51):
Now? The home of the LAClippers and the Western Conference Finals. This
is LA Clippers playoff basketball. GeorgeOff the three from two bucks down with
the lane into the pink, kickoutleft wing. It's Jackson with another three.
He got it. Reggie Jackson catchesin ninety nine eighty six with three

(42:13):
oh five to play in the Clipperback up thirteen. Jackson's got twenty one.
Reggie Jackson had ten of his twentythree points in the fourth quarter when
the Clippers needed them most, andthey go on to win Game three here
at Staples Center by a final scoreof one oh six to ninety two.
You're listening to Clippers tuck. I'mat a Moslin eight seven to seventy five

(42:35):
two zero, eleven fifty. Iwant to make sure to underscore not just
the defense from Pat Bev, butalso he hit a three pointer, a
big one in the fourth quarter, and he had kind of an okie dokee
hook shot in the lane as well. Patrick Beverley was huge team effort as
always, but so many guys madebig plays and especially came through on the

(42:59):
defense. Find hold a team tojust ninety two. I think the Sun's
averaged one thirteen a game this year, and the Clippers held unto one.
Oh foign game two. You wouldhave thought they would have won that one.
But they come back home and they'restarting to do what they do.
Just come back now, no Two. All right, let's go to Greg

(43:20):
and Vince Eura. Greg, you'reon Clippers stop without a Auslin. What's
up? Yeah, I'm it's amazing, and it's it's the third time in
a row. Now we're down toand we're coming back anyway. You and
Noah right after the game properly assetzoobots. But I just wanted to add
one more thing. The Clippers clearlystole zoobots from the ignorant Los Angeles Laker

(43:46):
management, which was headed up byMagic Johnson rob Olinka, and they dumped
him to Greg. We all knowthe story. We don't need to kick
him while they're down though. It'sfine. Let's take the high road a
little bit here, But Adam, you gotta pointed out the guys. The
guys turned out to be an absolutesteal, and I just want to prop

(44:09):
up the Clippers management for a changeand say, hey, they got over
the Lakers. That's all I wantto say, Adam. There was a
tweet Greg when that originally went down, with somebody saying, oh my god,
the Clippers are fleecing the entire leaguebecause it was a steal. You're
right. And the fact that Avizazubats is on a team friendly, cap
friendly, seven million dollar year deal. It's just unbelievable with the production you

(44:34):
get out of him. And Istill think he's underrated. I don't think
enough people just understand how good heis as a ram protector. Last season
he was second in terms of ramprotection and he shots coming within six feet
of the basket. But tonight it'sone of his best performances of his career.
Sixteen rebounds. That's a playoff highfor him. Sorry, Greg,

(44:57):
No, I no, I agree. He's got a lot of upside.
I don't know. I just wantedto gloat a little bit, that's all.
Hey enjoy it and take the victory. Laugh. Now let's see if
this Clippers team can come back onceagain down zero two for the third straight
series. Let's go to Jeff andTarzana before we get to Terence Man postgame
audio. Jeff, how are youdoing. I'm doing great, Listen.

(45:22):
I am so happy to be aClipper fan. And you know what,
I'm looking at the thing and they'renot shooting very good from the outside today,
you know, twelve and thirty fiveor whatever the percentage was. And
to get a guy like Zoo backto play as well as he does against
a very good center that Phoenix has. The only thing I'm worried about it

(45:45):
happens once a game, Adam, that the Clippers play one bad quarter,
which I don't think they scored twentypoints in the second quarter, am I
correct, you are, Jeff, they only had seventeen. That's the only
thing. That's the only thing thatscares me when they're there. And like
the gentleman said before, the Clippersshould be ahead two to one. But

(46:08):
the thing is, with Kawhi beingout and the team playing so good,
you know he Kawai said when hegot hurt that he was it was only
temporary. How long is he supposedto be out for well, we haven't
heard from Kawhi Leonard. Actually,Jeff, the official word is is a
right spring knee. He's day today, but basically he's been out indefinitely.

(46:31):
We don't know. There's no wordon when he could return. Okay,
I mean, I'll tell you rightnow. I really believe this,
Adam. If Kawhi was playing rightnow, I think the Clippers would be
up three to nothing. I thinkthey played that well. And Tyrone Lou
is a genius and I just can'tI can't get over how good this team

(46:54):
is. And no matter what happensin Los Angeles, we have the best
team in the lay for the NBA. It's not that other team to places.
Jeff, thank you for the phonecall, back to back calls with
some gloating going on here. OhI like it. Spicy stuff from Clifford

(47:15):
Nation. Tonight, Let's hear fromTerrence Man, the man. He was
my player to watch coming in andhe did not disappoint and the crowd and
he there's a love affair going onhere a Staple Center with this crowd and
Terrence Man, who was looking likeone of the best young players in the
league and just his second season. Here he was after having twelve points to

(47:37):
assist, five boards, a coupleof offensive rebounds. But you know what
it is with him, it's muchbigger than the numbers. He had ten
of his twelve and the third quarter, and here he was postgame speaking with
the media. Two points in thefirst like four buckets first minutes, so
that second you kind of just dowhat you build teams and whatever. It's

(47:59):
like the moment, So what wasit about? What happened to percent and
song? Where he's like, Ithink it's reading the game. I realized
that I need to be a littlebit more aggressive in order for us to
win or you know, having achance to win, especially when the game's
going where we're just taking jump shotsand you know, not a lot a
lot of guys getting downhill. SoI just put my head down, got

(48:19):
downhill. Hemmy, you are togo ahead. We'll go too far back,
go ahead, far by far bat, I'm gonna go ahead and meet
you. Sorry about that. Wewill go to Mason. Go ahead,
Mason here, Terrens, you guyswere able to slow down not only Devin
in this game, but also Chriscoming back from you know, the same
game COVID. What do you guysthink you did specifically to kind of slow
down both members of the draft courttonight. You know, we didn't do

(48:44):
too much different from the first twogames. We just more aggressive defensively,
That's all I can say. Wedid. You know, we locked in,
we watched film. You know,we got two games to watch it,
so you know everybody watched those twogames, so we need to do
executitys tyas t Is said he madea lot of good balls. After games.

(49:09):
He had conversations as well. Uhyeah, you know, I just
talked to him about, you know, what we gotta do, and that's
pretty much it, you know, short conversation. We knew, we knew
what we had to do, especiallyat Game two win that could have went
either way. Game two win forthem, that could have went either way,
So we knew we had to do. Scratch was not processing what I

(49:37):
mean. It's cool, but atthis point it doesn't matter. You know,
I don't care if I'm starting orcoming off the bench, just be
me and bring the energy that thisteam needs. So yeah, what yeah,
I mean, he still did agreat job. You know, he
still did a great job. Hitsome shots, played great defense, was
in their battling on every rebound, fighting through you know, he's a winner,

(50:00):
he's a great leader. So justseeing him fight through it and be
out there playing hard definitely, youknow, helped us will be able to
do to make it a sort ofdifficult person and they really just makes if
you play the rest of people, both of them that have to really structuring
starts sort of carried it over. You know, nothing different, you know,
nothing different, just like I said, being more aggressive, you know,

(50:22):
learning different spots and you know,to stay in front of them,
learning different spots on how to contesttheir shots. After watching the first two
games, you know, seeing wherethey get to, what they like and
things like that. Think guys asa unit us well locker game too.
It's probably tough loss all the ranksup. How did you take an individual
in You guys are a team.I guess discussion. We got great leaders

(50:45):
man. You know those guys inthe locker room always positive. You know
we're not to lose. You know, everybody's on the same page. You
know, some position we've been beforetwo times, you know, unfortunately,
but yeah, you know, everybodyjust stay locked in and and it was
all the bets, you know, just kept everybody on the same page,
kept everybody, you know positive. Also, I didn't really, you know,

(51:07):
feel as bad as it was. There was Terrence Man post game after
the Clippers win Game three here atStaples one oh six to ninety two.
I talked about the fatigue factor earlierwith this team. But there's a couple
of guys who hadn't played much earlyduring this playoff run. For instance,
Beatsa zubats who's also a young guyat twenty four years of age, and

(51:30):
happy birthday, Luke Nard, whoturned twenty five. Didn't have twenty five
but had nine points. Stay ashot. You always feel like that three
pointers gonna fall when Luke Anard putsit up, went two or five from
distance in this one. But yougot somebody like him as well who hasn't
played heavy minutes in the playoffs.Beatsa Zubots I mentioned Patrick Beverley hardly played

(51:52):
in the first round, in thefirst couple of games of the second round,
and Terrence Man, well, he'sfour years of age, he has
those young legs. And if youlook now, Nicholas Batumas just played thirty
minutes total the last two games, one of the most important players on this
Clippers team. You can make theargument he's been the third or fourth most

(52:14):
important player all season long, especiallyduring this playoff run, and they've been
saving his legs a little bit morebecause if it's a Zubos played thirty two
minutes, this is how you cancome back in the series. You gotta
have that juice. Clippers had ittonight, but I think Clipper Nation helps
supply it here at Staples Center andthey were rewarded with a one oh six

(52:40):
to ninety two victory by their LosAngeles Clippers until Game four Saturday, and
before we get out of here,I do want to thank the Clippers organization,
Noah Eagle, Brian Seaman, RalphLawler, big brother, Jake Warner
here at Staples Center, Jason hereat Staples Center, and Zach go Quality,

(53:00):
who was just fantastic find the foreversound when it didn't take forever.
Just just amazing stuff by Zacho Qualityback in Burbeck until Saturday nights, starting
with the pregame show at five pm. I'm Adam Oslin. We'll talk to
you then why this has been Clippersto All Playoff edition of the Clippers recap

(53:37):
of all the Clippers action on theirofficial Hall Dynasty. He'll miss a single
show every day. Good queen, hear anything you missed? I mean,
I Heeart radio while is an amazingman. I'm happy to be part of
it. Joined us. Next game, I'm your home for LA Clippers basketball.
Okay great, See you later.By
