Speaker 1 (00:00):
Right now we go to Sports Brave Foscar Buzz Edition
Sean Callahan Live and like a Rosie Now, Seanos, you know,
I'm the Swami when it comes to predicting things ahead
of the football season, including the presence of Andrew Marshall.
But I've had somebody rise through the ranks in the
last couple of weeks, according to my friends in low
places down there at Big Red Football, who say that

(00:21):
Desan McCullough is making some real moves. The transfer from
Oklahoma who largely has been a backup his entire career.
He's only made twelve starts in four years.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
To that, you say, yeah, I mean he's more than
a backup guy. He battled some injuries too early in
his career. He was a high, high dollar acquisition. I mean,
he had a lot of attention in the transfer portal,
and I think for him this move was about kind
of developing him for the NFL, and he was highly tauted.

(00:53):
His dad is one of the better running back coaches
in football. His dad was that notre to aim. He's
been the chiefrunning backs coach, has been USC's running backs coach.
So he's growing up around the game and and and
Dasan is a hybrid player that has played safety, linebacker,
edge rusher. He can do a lot of different things,

(01:13):
and I think they're they're going to move him around
in different ways. And there is no doubt he was
brought in to be a guy in this defense, a
very interchangeable part that John Butler can move around and
do things with.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
So what does he have? What are his physical skills
that separate him from everybody else?

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Well, a size, He's got great, great length, and he
can play coverage and rush the passer. Yeah, I think
he can check almost every box with what you want
in the versatility sometimes that's needed now in the new
age college football as far as wanting guys that can
rush the passer, cover and and and do all the
things that John Butler and Phil Snow and these guys

(01:52):
want to do.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
All right, So, ladies and gentlemen, you thrill seekers out there,
remember the name Dusan McCullough is nickname is Tosani. Like
the water that's produced by Coca Cola, flows, fluid, adaptable,
you get it. Now. The other guy we need to
talk about, Shano is Cad pet Shock, the freshman from Fargo,
North Dakota. Apparently he's now moved into the top seven

(02:14):
among defensive linemen.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
And good job Rosie on the name that that's one
of those ones. Don't read on paper, just listen to
Jim Rose. Pet shot, pet shot, ignore the R. I
had to learn it from my friend dom Isao, the
big sports director at a Fargo, and he gave me
it tutorio last year and there actually had me up
on Fargo this week. Is Cad has made a name

(02:36):
for himself. I've had people tell me he could start
for a lot of people around college football and that
that's how impressive he's been as a freshman. And he
wasn't here in January. He just got here. But he's
a big, physical body. A lot of people thought he
was going to go to Oklahoma, and Matt Ruhle really
helped push that recruitment and win that battle to get

(02:59):
Cad Petshock out of West Fargo, and John Butler confirmed
yesterday he's going to play a significant role in their rotation.
I mean, I don't say he's a starter, but you'll
probably see him in that second group that rotates into
a game.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Now you might talk about Cade versus say Tyson Terry,
And we talked about Tyson Terry when he signed with
Nebraska back in February actually December. He signed early and
then he became the first four time heavyweight wrestling champion
in the history of Nebraska high school football, which is
a very very big deal. And I believe wrestling is

(03:33):
the single best sport a football player can play other
than football. So what's the comparison between those two.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Well, Terry obviously is out right now with his knee
and he won't be back until maybe November because he
wrestled on the tourny ACL and still one state. But
Terry's bigger pet shocks more of like an Adam character
type frame, where Tyson Terry is going to be more
of a a Nash hot Maker. In fact, at this

(04:02):
at the same very stage of the game, Tyson Terry
is much bigger and developed than Nash hot Maker was
as a freshman. Terry's an older freshman though, I mean
he graduated high school as a nineteen year old, so he's
a veteran and he'll be ready to go, there's no doubt.
Malcolm Simpson's the third freshman d lineman. He was forced
to hurt himself in the summer. They have three impressive

(04:25):
freshman defensive linemen for the future, but right now, Kate
Petshock is the one that we'll see probably play a
little bit this year.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
All right. That's why they call him the cave and
be Husker Info strong man. Right there, that's enough information
to win over you know, the rings it every day
every day. That that stuff right there is going to
make you very popular in the office. Hey Sean, thanks
six fifty four and out Gay have AB's morning news.
