Speaker 1 (00:00):
Okay, Seanald, give me your impression of the scrimmage the
other day. And I'll never forget visiting with Turner Gill
about football scrimmages and putting too much stock in him
because unless the bullets are flying, you never really know.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
Though.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
When Matt Ruhle says he's concerned about tackling, what does
that say to you?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Oh, I just think that was one of his critiques
from the scrimmage. You know, the running backs might have
got loose on a couple of plays, but in general,
I think the offense is playing really well right now
in camp and they have all camp and they should.
I mean, they have a veteran O line, a veteran quarterback,
the deepest wide receiver room they've had in a while,

(00:38):
you know, within a few years, and then you know,
the three running backs seem to be running well. So
I just think they at the upper hand in the scrimmage.
And you know there's some of the tackling obviously something
they want to keep working on. But yeah, again, you
can't really you know, hit the panic button because we
haven't seen him play live yet. I think until we
get to Arrowhead in seventeen days and watch a game,

(01:01):
you know it's going to be hard to know what
this defense is going to be and obviously how good
this offense will be. From what we've heard, we two
know Special Teams though, has been outstanding, and that was
the case again Saturday. And I've never heard a head
coach talked about a punter like Matt Rules talked about
our archie Archie Miller at this point.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
But what about the place kicking job? Where is Tristan
and Alvano? After overcoming serious grond problems? This was two
special teams coaches to go And I know Coach Rule
has apologized to the family with how they handled his
injury and they brought him back too soon and it
was exacerbated. Where is Tristan Alvano in the kicking rotation

(01:42):
right now?

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Oh he's running, He's I mean, from what we watched,
he's running third. I mean, I would say Kyle Kunanan,
who they brought in, is really battling out right now
with John Hall, who you know, John Hole was every
bit as good as Elano was when Elvano was at
its best. So those two guys, I mean, yeah, it
just how it works. I mean, you can't have more

(02:04):
than two really battling and Obano's battling with those guys.
But you know, when we watched last week, Elbana only
got one live kick and those guys got all the rest.
So I mean, if you're just trying to share the
facts and that, I mean that those are the facts there.
So I don't know if there's much more at this point.
You know, you hope you can get himself back to
what he was. But I think if I had to

(02:26):
put a chip down on where I'm leading, I think
Conana would probably have the leg up.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Right now, we had a couple of more knee injuries
last week. Now we were told that with this new
field it'd be a magical field, and all of the
knee injuries from that crap field we had before the
first time we heard of it is over. But you know,
blick Hill gets injured, Greg Stinger, who's going to be
a contributor on special team's knee injury. That's by my
account two and a half because the tight end injury

(02:51):
was really an exacerbation of a previous injury. But so
far we're looking at three and we're not well, we're
about halfway through fall camp.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Well two of those three actually were guys that were
coming off injuries. And black Hill is just like the
tight end that that was hurt. Why Hill had a
platella knee injury and he reinjured it again. So this
was an injury from the previous year and it just
he just didn't come back off its strong. We have
stanger situation, and look, it's gonna happen. You're gonna still

(03:21):
get guys hurt. I mean it's not it's not gonna
hear all injuries of happening because they've put in this
magical forma grass. But but yeah, it was unfortunate to
see two of those guys re injury essentially the same thing.
And you know, Demetrius Bell, who was another player that
was hurt that spring on the turf in the spring game.

(03:42):
He's been out still all all camp with knee issues,
trying to come back from the previous one. So I
do find it notable that the three guys, three of
the guys that have hurt their knee are battling their
knee are the same guys that were hurt with the
same injury a year ago. And and you know, so
you wonder is there more issues there with how they

(04:02):
came back or whatnot, But tough to see. Gates Stingers
gonna be have special teams. Fly Hill is probably going
to be a two deep corner. Not a starter in
my opinion, but tough still to lose anybody at this point.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
Well, we'd be the first ever knee injuries on AUGUSTA National,
I'll tell you that. But yeah, the knee only goes
in one direction. Football requires you to go in multiple directions.
So if anybody thinks that football technology is going to say,
then we need robots out there because the knee only

(04:35):
goes one direction and unfortunately, yeah you're gonna get doesn't
matter those big hinge deals. That a lot of alignement there.
I imagine that can help a little bit the parallel
move correct, but not for a huge yow anyway. Okay, Sean, thanks,
