Speaker 1 (00:00):
One of comedian Chris Rock's best bits is the one
that he titles no Sex in the Champagne Room. You
know what that is, Well, if there are kids under
fifteen around, I'd turn the radio down. You can get
this on KFB dot com unto the podcast page around noon.
The champagne room is the special place at high end
strip clubs where the dancers imply, if you go back

(00:23):
there with me, we're gonna recreate The idea is make
the dudes think it's gonna happen, when in reality, for
another one hundred bucks, you'll get a dance, you might
even get to touch the stove, but there will be
no sex. In the wake of last week's departure of
Elon Musk from DC one point seven trillion short of

(00:43):
the promised two trillion in savings that he and the
DOE should treasure hunters promised, and the Nebraska unicameral adjourning
back to their ranches, hovels, chimney pots, and trailer parks,
and I'm talking about Republicans for another year of not
cutting my property taxes or even passing a law that
would curb their growth, I was reminded of no sex

(01:04):
in the Champagne Room. The Republicans of the strippers, and
we're the dudes. No spending cuts in Washington, no property
tax reform in Nebraska. How is that possible? In d C.
Republicans own the House, the Senate, and the White House.
Under reconciliation, they can do about anything they want. Budgetarily,

(01:26):
Nebraska has thirty three Republican senators and a GOP governor.
That's enough to break a filibuster in DC. Take us
back to pre COVID, spending about four point seven trillion
a year. Then Trump and Joe Biden started dropping wads
of cash from airplanes to prop up the businesses, towns,
and schools that we closed for no scientific or medical reason.

(01:48):
Trump spent two trillion, we didn't have. Biden another two trillion.
Four years after COVID, when a fraction of what was
predicted to happen actually did were still spending the money.
So it seems that trump spending revolution had the impact
of the seward Fourth of July parade a fantastic three hours,

(02:09):
and then we all went home. Musk, the world's richest man,
jumped in, took up the chainsaw and found tons of waste,
very expensive for Elon saw his net worth drop by
ninety one billion dollars since joining the cause. Exited last
week realizing they aren't really serious about keeping their promises,

(02:29):
and said so out loud on CBS when they passed
the Continuing Resolution, which cut not one dime from Joe
Biden's administration. What possible message did we hear when the
Republican House spent three months on a bill that actually
increases the debt and deficit. What message did we hear

(02:50):
when unicameral Republicans promised to cut our property taxes but
were forecasting an increase of two hundred and thirty million
in collections this year? What message are we hearing? Trump
and Pillen promised this stuff but found out they don't
get to decide. You need cabinet secretaries, department heads, you
need captains of industry, even the media, but mostly you

(03:14):
need legislators. Executives put in budgets, legislators approve them. And
I wish we could blame tax and spend Democrats, but
the Republicans are worse. At least Democrats never promised to
cut spending like the state and local deduction salt Republicans
and high tax states say gotta have it or I'll

(03:35):
lose the election. Ninety five percent of tax filers don't
use the salt tax deduction, so Republicans trash their own
credibility over five percent of taxpayers. Same issue in Nebraska.
These state senators are afraid of eighteen hundred school board
members and three hundred superintendents. So let's screw one million

(03:56):
homeowners by not capping property valuation. Levi's what's the lesson? Simple?
You can vote for candidates for any number of reasons.
He's a good guy, experienced, really smart, hot wife was
in the military. But don't vote for them because they
promised to cut spending. They haven't, they won't. Just remember

(04:17):
the government doesn't work for us. We work for the government.
The people we elect are nothing more than the guy
standing behind the cash register.
