Help Wanted: Houstonians Want Government to Get Them Jobs

A study from Rice's Kinder Institute finds eight and ten
Houston residents think government should reduce economic inequality, and nine
and ten think government should help people get a job.
Those numbers are more than twenty points higher than fifteen
years ago. Financial planner Mitch Kramer says, we're creating a
dependent generation.

People need to understand that they're going to be much
happier if they focus on self reliance versus someone else,
and they'll be able to control their destiny much more
than somebody else can, and self reliance needs to be
taught at home.

He adds that colleges have contributed to this problem by
giving out degrees that don't translate to good jobs. Corey Yolson,
