Texas is one of just nine states with no state
income tax, but the trend may be catching on. Patrick
Gleeson with Americans for Tax Reform says many red states
are moving to curb or cancel their income taxes.

Handful of states in Mississippi and Louisiana being amongst the
those nearby ones that have enacted legislation and moving in
this direction, but we also see states like Arkansas, South Carolina,
and Georgia North Carolina also seeking to enact legislation.

To move to zero income tax rates.

He adds it's important for states like Texas to remain
