Power Move: Texas Creates Nuclear Energy Fund

The legislature approved a new three hundred and fifty million
dollars state fund to build advanced nuclear energy projects. David
Holt with the Consumer Energy Alliance, says many people still
have an outdated idea of nuclear power.

There's really no waste in these new nuclear plants. They
can be scaled up or scaled down depending on what
your energy needs are, and they're really modern and efficient,
frankly wonderful technology.

And he notes unlike wind and solar, it is a
steady source of clean energy, as demand for electricity in
Texas is projected to rise by seventy percent over the
