over there, mar I was so in my feelings because
I lived all of that in the early two thousands.
It was my first gig in San Francisco at a

you know, we played all the Backstreet Boys, we played
all the in sync, all the Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera,
Aqua Barbie, all that stuff. And so like, I'm watching
these guys and just knowing the behind the scenes and

because I think it's important. Australia has just done something
that I find fascinating and I need to know what
you think about it. So eight hundred eight hundred one
oh one three to check in with your opinion. They
became the first country in the world to ban kids
under sixteen from having social media accounts on like TikTok
so no Instagram, no YouTube, no Snapchat, no Facebook. Now

I am. We're two different generations. How do you feel
about this for the kids, because I feel like there are.

Going to be a bunch of teenagers little loser damn mindes.

Oh of course they will. But I mean, as someone
who grew up when social media was kind of being established,
one PC agree with this, Okay. I think it's a
great idea on Australia's part because I got my first
Facebook when I was thirteen, right, you know, and I
feel like I'm even kind of going through the repercussions
of that now.

I severely dislike social media just as a whole, especially
for what it does to kids' psyches, your self esteem,
your mental well being, especially young ladies, because you see yourself,
you post something, you don't get enough likes or shares
or whatever, comments or enough positivity, and then it messes
with your head, so you yank it down. And this

is currency that meta and these companies made up likes
are made up and now they run our lives. What
did I tell you when you first started working here?
So what I love about Taylor is and you can
actually follow her at Taylove to Ease. I feel weird
pimping that while we're talking about this, but you aren't
really that robust on social media. She's great at making videos.

All the videos that you see as do. That's Taylor's work.
You have a degree from San Francisco State in media literacy,
Like you know how the algorithm works, but you've chose
not to engage it. And I told you straight up
and I'll say it. Our company will not take you
seriously unless you are some level of influencers. So let's

So this is the teachers strike enters day three. Now
the update is.

The district came through with an offer they were negotiating
over the weekend. It is a three percent ongoing rays
and limited increases to healthcare support, which is a couple
of things that the teachers Union is asking for. The
union rejected the proposal, pushing for significantly larger rays, et cetera,
et cetera. Basically, the gap is still massive. So the

union has come back with a counteroffer. The district is
they're they're considering it. Both sides want this over. That's
the one thing I learned over the weekend. Obviously for
the kids, So let's just cross our fingers. But day three,
if you're headed out to the picket line, please be
safe out there, and we're rooting.

now ex girlfriend has told me she's been seeing someone

of the dumping call. She then asked if I would
just forward her the tickets since they were for us.
I see no reason that they should now be hers.
In fact, I would like to go see the show.

I've also looked on stub Hub to see how much
I could get just by selling them. Is there any
reason I should feel obligated to pass them on to
her so she could take this other dude probably or
even sell them herself. I am embarrassed that she's actually

dollar donation to cal State East Bay and I'm here

union has sent a counterproposal. This is the update that

together to make that special and memorable. You can't be
everywhere all at once, so focusing on the impossible is

became the first country in the world to ban kids
under sixteen from having social media accounts on like TikTok
so no Instagram, no YouTube, no Snapchat, no Facebook. Now

I am. We're two different generations. How do you feel
about this for the kids, because I feel like there are.

Going to be a bunch of teenagers little loser damn mindes.

who grew up when social media was kind of being established,
one PC agree with this, Okay. I think it's a
great idea on Australia's part because I got my first
Facebook when I was thirteen, right, you know, and I

of that now.

I severely dislike social media just as a whole, especially
for what it does to kids' psyches, your self esteem,
your mental well being, especially young ladies, because you see yourself,
you post something, you don't get enough likes or shares
or whatever, comments or enough positivity, and then it messes

is currency that meta and these companies made up likes
are made up and now they run our lives. What
did I tell you when you first started working here?
So what I love about Taylor is and you can
actually follow her at Taylove to Ease. I feel weird
pimping that while we're talking about this, but you aren't
really that robust on social media. She's great at making videos.

You have a degree from San Francisco State in media literacy,

The district came through with an offer they were negotiating
over the weekend. It is a three percent ongoing rays
and limited increases to healthcare support, which is a couple
of things that the teachers Union is asking for. The
union rejected the proposal, pushing for significantly larger rays, et cetera,
et cetera. Basically, the gap is still massive. So the

union has come back with a counteroffer. The district is
they're they're considering it. Both sides want this over. That's
the one thing I learned over the weekend. Obviously for
the kids, So let's just cross our fingers. But day three,
if you're headed out to the picket line, please be
safe out there, and we're rooting.

I would say this is kind of strange, but yeah, I.

It started off well until he pulled out a pocket
knife to cut his steak.

You know, like the the big moment that really pushed
it over was when the bill came and he asked
loudly if they offered first date discounts.

Well a big part of this is that that Nate
is actually on the phone, He's actually listened.

So, Nate, this is a lot. Did you really bring
your own pocket knife?

Well, I mean yeah, yeah, Okay, I see how that's
kind of strange, but that's just I mean, that's how
I grew up. I I grew up with a with
a dad that we we built stuff every day. He
would say he called his uh, he called his knife
his pants. So when we'd leave for works, that you
got your pants on, and that meant did you have
your blade on you?

Yeah, but you're camping, you're not yourself camping.
Speaker 5 (14:37):
But I always have a blade on me, So I
just have a knife. It's one of my favorite new knives,
and I was just using it. I didn't realize it
was going to be such a issue.

Okay, see how that's weird. I mean, you're going to
a steakhouse they have knives.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
Yeah, no, I.
Speaker 5 (14:52):
I do see that. I get it. I you know what, Honestly,
I kind of thought that maybe it was quirky. It's
just definitely who I am.

Okay. And then I mean, were you were you firing
off the jokes?

Yeah, I'm not gonna lie.

She's not wrong about that. Yeah, you know, I think
I was nervous and that was just nervous energy coming out.
She did mention it actually a couple of times for
me to quit and my mouth just didn't have a filter.
My brain thinks in puns sometimes do I get nervous?
And then you know, with the wedding party and they
were coming through and just it was very joky, and
I slipped right into it.

Yeah, I mean that's that's just my bad. I could
have done better on that front.

Okay. And then apparently you're the cheapest day imaginable.

I to the edge Sheer in concert of Levi Stadium
show obviously next July. A couple of days ago, my
now ex girlfriend has told me she's been seeing someone
else and broke things off with me at the end
of the dumping call. She then asked if I would
just forward her the tickets since they were for us.
I see no reason that they should now be hers.
In fact, I would like to go see the show.

I've also looked on stub Hub to see how much
I could get just by selling them. Is there any
reason I should feel obligated to pass them on to
her so she could take this other dude probably or
even sell them herself. I am embarrassed that she's actually
getting to me. What do you think now, I've pulled
producer Taylor in because you are actually dating. Have you
ever been in this situation?

I have not, I would say on her part, that's
kind of messed up.

I can't even imagine that she had the gall to

So we were trying to give her some peace, trying

to give her some grace, trying to give her some advice.
And I got a text from excuse me, a DM
from Michelle who says, I feel for Elane. My daughter's
in gym Monday through Friday, boys are in swim, My
three kids are in different schools. I also am a
working mom. I finally decided that I can't change time,
so I have to change my relationship with it. I

have to relax my expectations which were unrealistic to begin with,
and also really lean into the time we do have
together to make that special and memorable. You can't be
everywhere all at once, so focusing on the impossible is
of no use. That's the line I like the most.
I'm gonna say it again. You can't be everywhere all

You have to focus on what is realistic and make
that happen with a happy heart. I don't know who
