Speaker 1 (00:00):
I'm Alice Lagoon and you're watching my iHeartRadio Ask Anything Chat.
Thanks to Romeo and most Requested Live for having me
on tonight to talk about my new song in Time.
Lisa from Covington, Kentucky says love the video. Thanks Lisa.
What kind of car were you driving? I was driving
(00:21):
a yellow Volkswagen Bug which is now yellow and pink.
Carolyn from Memphis, Tennessee asks how did In Time come together?
Big question? I wrote In Time a while back, but
by the time I was ready to record it and
(00:43):
really just dig into it, I was already in pre
production on Sea Chapter one, so I enlisted the help
of Barb Morrison, who produced the track. Barb brought Bart
Shaudell on board as an engineer, and then ultimately Will
Hensley mixed it for me, and the track was mostly
done by the time we started working on In Time
(01:07):
Chapter two. But really I ended up finishing them both
roughly around the same time, within a twenty four hour period,
because they were very specific details in both the music
and the video that I needed to be precise, and
it was important for me to finish them together. Next question,
(01:29):
Jackie from Dalton, Georgia asks what was the pink stuff
on your face from the video made of it? Was
made of the fantastical biological components of my enemy's. Next question,
Maxim from Akron, Ohio, asks, do you have any plans
on doing a debut album? I'd love to hear more
(01:51):
music from you, as I've been a fan Sinceia. Thank you, Maxim.
I do have plans and I am actually working on
that album.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Now and you can expect it next year.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Tara from Huntington, West Virginia asks if you were on
a dating site, what quality do you have that you
would lead off your profile with.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Independence.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Trisha from Cleveland, Ohio says, I watched the credits to
your new video. That's a ton of people that helped.
Can you explain how it is making a music video?
I'll start that answer off with a quote by Orson Wells.
The quote is a writer needs a pen, an artist
(02:39):
needs a brush, and a filmmaker needs an army. And
it's true. Making a music video is a massive collaborative effort.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
And I was incredibly lucky.
Speaker 1 (02:53):
That when I started production on SEEA Chapter one, I
was able to pull together a really remarkable team, and
then I was able to bring them back for In
Time chapter two.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
It really is all in the team effort. You need
a fantastic team to make these things happen. ROBERTA from Detroit,
Michigan asks if you met a genie and he gave
you three wishes, what would you choose. I would choose
not to play games with the genie.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
I'm out genies are notorious fricksters. It's not worth the
potential downfall of myself and maybe humanity, just because I
wanted something a little extra. Next question, Sarah from Lake City,
Florida asks when does the phrase in time apply to
(03:47):
your daily lives when you're in the position of not
being where you want to be yet, but you know
that you're capable and that you can make it.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
I would say that that phrase.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Is reliant on the faith that you have on yourself
to get there, and that would be the.
Speaker 2 (04:13):
Time to use it.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Cassie from Indianapolis, Indiana asks what was your first job?
Speaker 2 (04:21):
My first job was breaking up dog fights.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Lauren from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania asks how many chicken nuggets do
you think you could eat in one sitting.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
All of them?
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Andrea from Cherryhill, New Jersey asks who do you text
the most with It's a toss up between Rosy Nicole
and Anne. Lisa from Raleigh, North Carolina asks what was
your first cell phone? My first cell phone was a
(04:55):
T Mobile Sidekick too, and shortly after I got it,
I remember I was sitting on the F train in
Manhattan and the train had come to a stop and
I was holding my phone in my hands, and this
guy runs through the doors that had just opened and
just tries to yank the phone out of my hand
(05:16):
as I was sitting there, and he failed.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
I don't he.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
Must have not tried very hard, or I probably had
a death grip on that phone because it was the
only phone I had.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
I wasn't gonna let it go.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
And then he proceeds to just run right back off
the train doors closed, the train continues.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
That guy must have been so embarrassed that he.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
Couldn't take myself from me. He probably went back to
stealing candy from babies. Next question, Vishon from Colorado Springs,
Colorado asks what's your favorite song to scream to right now?
It's Medusa by Griz and Recno Rose from Davenport, Iowa asks,
(05:58):
is the reason you started to music? Still the same
reason you're still in music today. Yes, yes, I've loved
music since I was very young.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
That love is never leaving me. I'm never giving it up.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Thanks again for watching my Ask Anything Chat. My new
song is called In Time. Thanks to Romeo and most
requested Live for having me on tonight to answer your questions.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
I will be seeing you all very soon
