(00:00):
Head out. We are going tobe joined by Omar Ruiz very shortly to
find out, uh, what moreis going on? We want a national
perspective of what's going on. Also, the linebacker corps did seem a little
bit thin, and so they didre sign linebacker John Radigan who had got
some nuds later in the season, and so hopefully just adding little pieces here
(00:26):
and their safety Rashon Jenkins. Wedo know that that was a pretty pretty
thin core, especially after letting goof Caandre Diggs and Jamal Adams, which
we knew about a couple of weeksago. Joining us right now is NFL
Networks, Omar Ruiz, Omar, how are you my friend? Hey,
(00:46):
I'm great. What you know, every time, you know, we talked
and we do these shows, it'slike it's a great time of year in
the NFL. We're either talking aboutthe playoffs or the stretch run, or
or now revamping rosters. And soI was an organ on Tuesday for their
pro day. Free agency frenzy isgoing wild. So so yeah, great
time, great time in the NFL, Great time to be with you guys,
(01:08):
and stay busy as always. Thankyou so much. So you were
an organ and you didn't come uphere for a cocktail or a happy hour
or anything, because you know why, I'm gonna be there in two weeks
for the dub pro day, sothen we can catch up. Then in
person, you're gonna have to cometo the studio. And now I'm holding
you to it. You shouldn't havetold me those plans because I'm the kind
(01:30):
of person that holds people to it. No, I can't wait to buy
you lunch. That'll be great.Yeah, yeah, I look forward to
it. So much talent there andand you know, I would expect to
see a big Seahawks contingent there inSeattle, especially with the Grub connection now
and and you know there was abig Seahawks contingent at the organ pro day.
It was Trent Kirchner, you know, assistant GM and Grub was there
(01:52):
and and yeah, so it's excitingto see the Seahawks and and all the
moves that they're making the new regimethere and and I think what's interesting about
Seattle's perspective is you still have JohnSchneider there and we know, you know
what a great you know, GMhe's been over the years, and the
consistency with which they've had that program, and but now there's you know,
(02:12):
fresh flood and the coaching ranks andMike McDonald putting that team in his image
and and everything that that will entail. And we've already seen that, you
guys reference the changing of the guarddefensively in the secondary and obviously Bobby moving
on. And so it's it'll bea fascinating watch how this team, you
know, when it's all said anddone, builds itself through free agency,
through the draft, and I wouldexpect him to continue to contend like they
(02:36):
have been the last you know, ten to fifteen years. Yeah, I
think that. Thank you, Omar. We's joining us here on a ninety
three to three KGRFM Jessaman McIntyre andChris kidd in for Puck and Jim today.
And that is what is kind ofthe conundrum that we come to,
because there's this complacency with almost fantasticthat we have here in Seattle. They
(02:58):
are always right there, right andit was the Pete Carrol regime that brought
this city their first super Bowl andso everyone just has this taste for greatness.
Now you have the same GM.John Schneider, we love him,
he is fantastic. He came fromthe Ron Wolf Tree. What do you
I guess we haven't talked to yousince this head coach hire came about.
(03:22):
What did you make of it?And how do you see this dichotomy going
forward? Do you think that they'regoing to try to recreate that kind of
thing or do you think that thisis a whole new regime we're looking at.
Well, I think they have faithin the pieces they have. Offensively,
and you know, Gino Smith, you know, it wasn't necessarily as
(03:43):
consistent as he was last year ashe was in twenty twenty two, but
still, you know, put updecent numbers. And with DK and Tyler
Lockett coming back and that whole crew, you know there's faith there with you
know, Kenneth Walker and sharbon Ay, I think the potential is there.
But defensively, you know, especiallywhen you have Peak Care, you know,
one of the great defensive minds ofall time, producing a thirtieth ranked
(04:03):
defense, thirty first in the run, he came thirtieth on third down,
thirtieth on big plays. You kindof got to revamp that side of the
football. And so I think, you know, Mike McDonald coming in uh
in Baltimore that that defense was ferocious. Yeah, and and seeing it in
person. I saw them in Arizonathis past season and just how talented they
(04:27):
were. They were without holes andand so you know, to to get
somebody like that, you know,to try to keep up in today's game,
with with the evolution of the offensesthat we're seeing. And and you
know, the familiarity obviously that thatMcDonald has with you know, the college
game, coming from Michigan a coupleof years ago, and and you know
(04:47):
that, you know, piece ofhis resume. I think he you know,
he fits there and it kind offits that mold to kind of retool
the defense and and rebuild ultimately forlack of a better term, And and
I think the pieces in place offensivelywill still be there. And I think
when you look at the Seahawks lastyear, you know, obviously still your
winning record right there, knocking onthe door to get back into the playoffs.
(05:10):
Had they had a middle of theroad defense, I thought they would
have been a more legit contender. But you know, the fact that they
were nearly the bottom of the league, you know, made them on the
outside looking in. But again Ithink the offense will produce enough this season
that it's again and obviously you wantto be better than middle of the road.
But if they can get back in, you know, to that top
ten type, then I think they'llquickly ascend in the NFC West. Jessamin
(05:35):
McIntyre and Christopher Kidd in here.Omar Rawiez joining us from the NFL Network.
Omar, I'm curious about the NFCWest and where the Seahawks rank because
right now, last season the Ramsswept the Seahawks, and obviously the Niners
are far ahead from the Seahawks. So with that being said, is it
(05:57):
right now? I know it's early, but how do you rank the Seahawks?
Are they right behind the Rams inthis scenario or do you think they
can leapfrog the Rams this season?Although the Rams are supposed to be real
rebuilding last year and that didn't turnout so well did it. Yeah?
Now I think the Rams are covied. Man. I think they're gonna be
even better this year. Obviously theygot to the playoffs, played Detroit Duff
ultimately lost that game, but Ithink they're gonna be even better and then
(06:20):
and then just kind of you know, going over the Cardinals. I really
like what they're doing and and obviouslythey didn't win too much last year,
just four games, but they competed, and they competed with a team that
played more rookies than anybody in footballlast year. And the and the guys
that they're building with right now areour role players, depth players, but
(06:42):
but still solid NFL veterans, andI think will significantly upgrade that team.
What how many wins that gets them? I don't know how much Kyler Murray
coming into year two now in thisDrew petsingk system, how good can he
be given a full off season now, not coming back from the knee inje
you know how much he can elevatethat team remains to be seen. So
(07:02):
given what what I alluded to alittle earlier about the known quantity of the
Seahawks offense, I'd put them justabove Seattle right now. But I think
because of the growth potential of thedefense for the Seahawks, I think they
have a chance to catch the Rams, depending on how they you know,
finish off free agency, how theydraft and rebuild that defense. But they're
(07:26):
not much ahead of the Cardinals rightnow, but the upside there I think
is definitive for the Seahawks. Iwant to go to the defense for the
Seahawks and they retain Leonard Williams. What was your initial reaction to the Seahawks
striking a deal and able to makeit work and bringing him back to a
be a catalyst on this defensive line. Yeah, I like it. You
know, Leonard Williams always been agood player, and I think you know
(07:49):
the guys, you know, allthe edge rushers they're kind of bringing back
and and you know, tear itwith the young secondary that continues to grow,
you know, a corner you kindof figure as that side of the
ball, retool of where they mightbe headed from a draft perspective. But
I did like the Leonard Williams move. Seems you know, found a home
(08:11):
in Seattle, kind of fit intothat locker room. And I would expect
his production to continue to elevate ashis career continues in the Northwest. Omari
is NFL Network joining us here? And Chris, did you have one more
for him? Okay, it's justme now, thank you very much.
Justamin McIntyre has kid filling in forfucking Jim and let's get down to business.
(08:33):
Because everyone here is just thinking aboutthe quarterback, even though the Seahawks
have one and Gino Smith, butwith Drew Locke going elsewhere, everyone's thinking
that they're going to either draft ortrade for the air apparent to that throne.
And I am on the side ofnot thinking that they. I don't
(08:56):
think that they have what it wouldtake, what it would be worth to
give up to trade for Justin Fields. I might be wrong, but I
don't know who they could draft outsideof Because they have the sixteenth pick and
then they go all the way tothe third round. I could see them
drafting a quarterback in the second round. If they trade out of that first
round pick. What do you thinkfrom a national perspective that the Seahawks will
(09:18):
do, And I'm putting you onthe spot like that, Well, I
think, well, we know,John, you know typically you know,
not afraid to trade down and getmore picks there in that first round,
but that's sixteenth. I think youcould get one of those second tier quarterback
that that spot, should they, you know, decide to go that route.
And obviously we mentioned the Michigan connection. Mike McDonald JJ McCarthy would seem
(09:41):
like a natural fit. You know, like I mentioned, they had a
big contingent there with bow Nicks inEugene on Tuesday, and I thought bo
Nix looked fantastic And obviously forty fivetouchdowns three interceptions is nothing to sneeze that
in the Pac twelve and the wayhe kind of carried that team a couple
of years. And Michael Pennix, you know, obviously you know up close
(10:03):
and personal. Look they're at UDUB, you know, for his career
there. So I think, youknow, at sixteen you'll get any one
of those three. I think it'spretty solidified at the Big three. We'll
be taken off the board pretty quicklythere. But but I think if you
get a sense, if you're JohnSchneider that you know that second tier will
still be around in the second round, you know, then you could trade
(10:26):
down. But if not, ifyou feel like you have a guy that
you're comfortable with that can grow behindGeno, then I say use it at
sixteen and get on with it.After so much flirtations, it seems like
the last several years ever since youknow, they moved on from RUSS because
even when Gino first came in,you didn't really know, you know how
good he could potentially be in thatfirst year, So there was talk about
(10:46):
drafting a quarterback that year. Andthen obviously, you know, he had
the free agency after that, sothere's more talk on potentially drafting and I
think this might actually be the yearthey looked at the quarterback of the future
there in Seattle, the NFC SouthLands Kirk Frost in Atlanta. Wow,
what a move. How good arethe Falcons supposed to be with now?
(11:09):
And aging kirk Cousins, who hehas his best games and he's got the
drift man, he has the driftbut then he also has games where he
stinks up the joint. So I'mcurious is how how how much better will
the Falcons be if at all?Well, I'm a little reluctant and gunshy
now after the Russell Wilson experience inDenver and we were, you know,
(11:31):
Super Bowl contenders with that defense thatwas loaded and they were ascending in a
big way and all they needed wasa quarterback and they get Russell. And
obviously it's been a disaster there thelast couple of years. And so without
all that being said, going intoAtlanta, kirk Cousins seems to be a
perfect fit there with that young talentthey've been drafting, you know, with
(11:52):
Pitts and Drake London and the restof that crew offensively, and then I
just really liked what they did lastyear defense league, getting you know,
those big name free agents and KalayisCampbell and and the rest of that crew.
Again, we kept saying all theyneed was a quarterback. And you
mentioned the age of Kirk Cousins comingback from that achilles now at thirty six
years old, is what will bein the next season. You know,
(12:15):
that's the kind of age I mean, it's not like Kirk Cousins Tom Brady,
so you know, that's the kindof age where guys can kind of
fall off a cliff, especially comingoff a big injury like that. But
that said, the NFC South hasn'tproven to be one of these divisions that
you know, has blown anybody awaywith an actual Super Bowl contender since you
know, Tom Brady first got toTampa. And so it's a winnable division,
(12:39):
and Kirk Cousins might be the guyto to, you know, make
the difference, given that I'm notso sure that Baker Mayfield. We'll be
able to recapture the magic that heshowed a lot last year on a consistent
basis since Tampa, I think Ithink Kirk Cousins might prove that edge in
Atlanta this season. Another move thattook headlines by storm might have been Dereck
Henry heading down and enjoy with BaltimoreRavens quarterback Lamar Jackson in company? Does
(13:03):
this move the needle for you?Are they now better than what they've been
perceived with the running backs that they'vehad and obviously the receiving unit more consistency
there. Now you're bringing a dynamicrunning back when not dynamic, he's just
a bulldozer. And Dereck Henry well, not only does this move the needle
Christophers, for me, this blowsthe needle out to charge. This was
(13:24):
the move I wanted so badly, perhaps the most anticipated move for me in
free agency with Dereck Henry going toBaltimore. Not only now does Lamar Jackson
have a sidekick that he could leanon. We're not going to see a
Baltimore playoff game where they only rushthe ball six times like they did in
their lost this year in the AFCChampionship Game. But Conversely, with Dereck
(13:48):
Henry, I want to see himnow in an offense that he doesn't have
to carry. And obviously he tookthe Titans to an AFC title game a
couple of years ago, has beenawesome in every way, just such a
force of nature in the NFL,you know, throughout his career. But
now he doesn't have to be thatguy, you know, when you have
to game plan, and and LamarJackson has been you know, arguably the
(14:11):
most difficult quarterback to game plan forthe last several years in the NFL.
Now you have a running back thatyou could say the same thing throughout his
career at that position, you know. And and especially the way you know,
Day Flowers came on last year andMark Andrews be back. I think
that offense potentially, you know,in their second year with the coordinator there,
(14:33):
now has potential to you know, really take off. And and and
obviously their defense was like taking acouple of hits in free agency, but
I think they'll retool that. Soyeah, So I think, you know,
it's a great move. I thinkfor for Lamar, it's a great
move. For Derreck Henry, it'sa great move for the Ravens not so
bod of a move for the restof the AFC North Omarui's NFL network joining
(14:56):
us Jessaman McIntyre, Chris could onhere filling in for Pucking Jim uh Omar.
I'm curious because there's this legal tamperingperiod and so we're pretty sure that,
you know, everything had already happenedthen we're just finding out about it
during the legal quote unquote tampering period. And the new year started yesterday.
How much more action do you thinkthat we'll see during this actual free agency
(15:20):
during the new year? Do youthink that most of the waves are over?
Most of the waves are over, but there's still you know a lot
of big names out there, likeEric Armstead with a kind of late release,
Avian Howard, you know from Miami. A lot of those guys that
you know were released maybe because ofcomplicated contract issues that you know, are
(15:41):
still being sorted through as they discussed, you know, the new team.
So I think there's still be anotherwave here. I don't think necessarily,
you know, I think maybe oncewe get into next week, that's when
teams, you know, start thinkingabout, okay, well this need we
could feel with you know, oneof these second third year free agency guys.
Maybe we could actually get you know, a younger, cheaper player frankly
(16:04):
in the draft. And so Ithink we'll still see some action through the
weekend and then and then I'll expectby my next week for it to calm
down a little bit. Well, sir, you are jem because you know
a lot more than we do,and you have educated us in many many
ways, and you are just afantastic human being. I love it that
(16:25):
you come out here so often. And people who don't know who are listening
should know that Omar is out herequite a bit and has a very good
pulse on the Seahawks, so notone of those national talking heads who doesn't
know what he's talking about. Well, I appreciate that. It's always fun
to be on and I look forwardto seeing you guys in a couple of
weeks. I told you I'm gonnamake you buy let me buy you lunch.
(16:47):
I'm gonna make you let me buyyou lunch. Yeah. There we
good plan at Seattle's one of myfavorite food towns in America, and it's
always great to visit, not onlyfor the exciting games. Usually we get
at Field, but for the greatmeals that are that are to be had
in Seattle as well. Oh,you're very genous with your time, and
we'll see you when you come outhere a couple of weeks. Thank you,
(17:07):
omar Okay, sounds good. Iappreciate you, guys. Omar Oui's
NFL network, and I do meanthat I got to meet him years ago
when he was at vMac, theVirginia Mason Athletic Center in the media room,
and he was out here all thetime. And there's very few reporters
from national networks that were consistently outhere other than him. So that's how
(17:32):
I got to know him when Iwas out there all the time on a
daily basis. And obviously you guysheard him. He's got a wealth of
knowledge and just a great person. He's awesome. And I do what was
the thing that stood out to youthe most? I mean, I know
we kind of went on a broaderperspective there, but what stood out to
me was what he said about thequarterback situation, is that he believes that
(17:57):
this will be closer to what wesaw with Pete and John then what I
was thinking, but but he putin that caveat of if it's your guy,
take him at sixteen. I don'tsee them doing that. What do
you think? I don't see iteither, But I just can't. I
(18:18):
can't. If they do with defensiveminded Mike McDonald and they take a quarterback
at number sixteen and don't turn itinto more draft picks, I will be
wowed, and I will think thatthis is Mike McDonald's decision, not John
Schneider's, because I think even thoughwe know he wants to draft more quarterbacks,
I just don't see it with onefirst round draft pick they're gonna do
(18:41):
it. It would have been lastyear and they went bomb as corner obviously
you know versatile, yes, Iknow, versatile defensive player who can kind
of just play anywhere in the defensivebackfield in Witherspoon. And then they went
(19:02):
wide receiver. That shocked the crabout of me. I couldn't believe it
anybody, I think, to behonest. But fantastic pick too, Jackson
Smith and Jigba was just absolutely aphenomenal pick. But that wasn't their style,
so maybe they were already kind ofgoing in another direction. Well,
we don't have to wait much longer. We got a month and some change.
(19:23):
That is so many days, Christopher, that is so many days.
I mean, can we do acountdown clock? Can we wear different clothes?
Can we do a calendar on thewall? You can do all that.
I don't have that many clothes.I wear the same sweater like five
times a week. Okay, Iknow, I know. That's why I
like it when the Crack and playbecause I have one crack in Jersey and
I can wear it. But they'renot playing tonight. Wait, yes they
(19:47):
are. They're playing the Capitals tonightat seven o'clock six thirty pre game with
Mike Benton. We will not betalking to him today because he's got to
get himself into the zone, butwe will come back. And also,
I would like you guys to weighin on this because we heard a little
something on the morning show today andit was ranking people on this station on
(20:07):
who you'd have was it the mostfun with, or who you'd want to
take, basically, who you thinkwould be the most fun with you in
Vegas versus yeah, in Vegas isa no show. Don't do it?
Yeah? Okay, so there's yeah, So let's go. We've got Chuck,
Bucky Ashley, We've got you me, Jim puck Ian, Anders Jackson,
(20:33):
Softy Faine, and we'll put Bentonal. I don't think they I
don't think it was just all right, we'll take the hockey guys out of
it, all right, all right, so just the on air contingency for
our talk shows. All right, who would you want to take? Who
would you want to go with?Who would be the most fun? Four?
Nine four or five? One?Hit us up? And also,
(20:56):
yeah, I don't know, sendinga few of those voicemails. Maybe we'll
play and maybe we won't. Idon't know. This isn't my show,
it's Buck and Jim's. But JessamineMcIntyre, Chris Kid, we'll be right
back ninety three to three kids toAIRFM. Great vacation that they're having,
I think separately. I think they'reon their own vacations. But Jessemin McIntyre
and Christopher Kidd in for you todayand we have a point of contention.
(21:19):
And this is not about sports, but it's about fun, and that's what
this show is all about. Weheard on the morning show a little bit
of discussion that was all about whowould you want to go to Vegas with
who would be the best person totake to Vegas and the worst? I
think I scored pretty well in thatCadgy were number one. You were drafted
(21:40):
first overall everyone was in. Ireally like that, but they weren't drafting
themselves because Ashley would be my numberone pick when it comes to it,
but you would be high in myrankings as well. I appreciate it,
however, because the Morning show didnot agree with that, right Chuck and
Buck, Oh kid, we wewould Buck. He was like, kid,
(22:00):
to be honest, I thought youwere like maybe ten. Oh that's
that's much. No, Actually Ilie. Bucky did say I think sixth
so in the middle of the whichis fair. I thought he meant years
old. I thought he was.He always used to tease me about being
a little cherub and being, youknow, ten years old and having been
born five years ago. It iswhat it is. I find, Well,
you're younger than all of us.That's But the one big reason why
(22:23):
a lot of people had me haveme last is because I don't drink that
mind you ridiculous. It is becauseI can tell you this right now.
We can have a lot of funwithout alcohol. I could take you to
a couple of places and you'd belike, that was fun. I need
my safety partner. That's why Itake you through the safes. I know
we'd have fun. Screw all that. I need someone to tell me the
(22:47):
story. There are bars to hit. I'll get a Roy Rogers no ice.
Please look at that. You don'teven know you intended. I thought
that had alcohol in it. Lookat that you didn't even know. Now,
people, tech on, I probablygonna rip me a new one.
Hold on, I think I mighthave messed that up. For a really
long time, I thought of RoyRogers that alcohol is. So someone got
(23:10):
at Roy Rogers. I apologize tothe people of Connecticut and New York.
Well, no wonder, you're nota bartender no more. They were like,
Jess is giving out the wrong drinks. But I got a lot of
good tips. Okay. For example, I would take Jim or I into
Vegas, not Chris. He doesnot drink. But I get shunned for
not drinking. But by the way, there's more to do in Vegas than
to just drink. Sure, Iunderstand everywhere you go it's important, well
(23:33):
not important, it's it's the thingto do to drink. But I could
go to a pool party and nothave to have a drink. You're telling
me on the text line, youwouldn't go to a pool party and see
a bunch of beautiful ladies with quoteunquote drinks in your hand, although I'll
be sipping on a roy Rogers ora Okay, what's in a roy Rogers?
You killing me? Grenadine and someother pop I forget what it is.
(23:55):
So it's a Shirley Temple. Sure, essentially, I don't even know
what schroy Temple is. But it'sgrenadine in sprite bingo with a cherry as
many cherries as you want boom.So that's what I would get. Okay,
you would never know that I'm notdrinking unless I tell you. That's
the crazy part. No, See, I don't care if people don't drink,
you know whatever seems to be thedownfall for me. Yeah, but
(24:18):
that's crazy. So the reason Iwould like I just think you're fun,
So I would want you to comeanyway. You'd be high in my rankings.
But Ashley lol o, Ryan,Yeah, you had me dead last
kid. What but I need someoneto give through you two six? You
sed to love Rogers when I wasten, laugh out loud, listen here,
(24:41):
Bud, I need a little buzzand the Roy Rogers does it for
me. It gives me a sugarhigh. So if you don't mind me
being a little sober on this Vegasouting, I think we'll be. Okay,
Okay, doesn't ad mcadire, Christopher, kid, We are talking about
Vegas rankings. Who would you wantto take? And you guys can talk
(25:03):
about any single member of our onair and producing staff. You hear them
all, you love them all hopefully, And I'm sorry if I'm messing that
up for everybody. Today we arein for fucking jam and so Vegas rankings.
See, Okay, I have toreally tell you the reason I would
want and twelve. Okay, hisname is Anderson, we call him Anderson,
right, true, let's go.His main thing is soccer. I
(25:27):
don't care about his sports preference.Okay, come on, Anderson is somehow
higher ranked than me, or shouldI say lower? Whatever you get me
get my point. The thing isI should not be dead last. No,
you shouldn't. You shouldn't you shouldhave too much. I don't even
know what I have, but I'lltell you this clout, no experience.
(25:48):
No, my last name is kid. Come on, see that's why everyone
thinks here ten there you go,okay here see here comes from Joe's kid.
I can have fun drinking while Iperform your heart surgery. You gonna
kill me, man, Yeah, but that was because you said you could
do heart surgery after reading a manual. Shout out to my friend in the
five O three, Hey, Idon't drink too many. It's a blast
(26:10):
not drinking. You know me andyou would get down in Vegas and have
a ball. First first place we'regoing to, we're gonna go going to
go to a genial gentle came throughthe words I want established. I'm gonna
go spend some hard earn cash onsome lovely woman. Have you gone to
those? Are you kidding me?Every city I go to on a vacate,
well outside of vacations, when I'mtraveling with friends, that is me
(26:32):
numeral uno spot I got really yes, I go to strip clubs. Where's
the best talent? You've seen? The best talent is in Miami? And
I went to Tutsis. Shout outto Jalen Rose. He told me that's
the I said, Jalen, giveme your top ten, and what's the
best one I should hit in Miami? And he told me Tutsises. So
when he said that, I toldmy friends we're going to Tutsis and that
(26:53):
no questions, as I wouldn't aska question. Everyone was, well,
I didn't tell them who told me. I just told him, Hey,
I got word that we hit Tootsies, and they're like, let's hit tootsies
and we hit Titsies. And fromwhat I was in two thousand and sixteen,
seventeen, I was there in Miamior eighteen whatever it was. So
you were like, twenty five,Well, I'm glad you can do math.
(27:15):
But yes, I was twenty five, went to Tutsis and was like,
wow, one of the greatest stripclubs in America. So we had
one when I was So, I'vebeen to more gentlemen strip clubs with the
ladies. I've only been to onewhere there's the guys. Hey, screw
you two O six, softy,I'm forty, I'm a man. Thanks
a lot. Hey, No,how about this one? Uh wait?
(27:38):

Tiker in Vegas right now, Arizonaonly by four against USC Let's go.
(31:22):
Oh it's looking great, Let's go. I've been trying so hard to not
watch it. It's a hard partwhen you're doing a show the TV on.
I know, I was like allexcited to come and watch the Players
Championship, Like, oh, Igot kind of watch this game too,
So yeah, a lot there's toomuch going on today. I know I'm
usually where Chris Kidd is and there'sjust like fish on the screen and that
those are pretty sometimes too. Butbasketball gym's there, right, he's at
(31:45):
the game. He is at thetournament. Yeah. I wonder if he's
at this game or if it's justtoo early for him. That's a question.
It's twelve fifty pm. Well you'reVegas talking about the point. Yeah,
yeah, I think he Involund Harrellywakes up at like four thirty eight
every morning. Oh, DJ Robinwith a miss on a bunny. That's
funny. Okay, Anyway, wehave had a really fun show. We
(32:10):
talked to Danny O'Neill omar Ruiz.He is coming up here for the dub
Pro Day in two weeks, sowe got to take him out to lunch.
So that's a promise that I made. We love him. And I
was talking to Chris Kidd after wehad him on that he has this institutional
knowledge of Seattle, not like justsome national reporter coming, you know,
(32:36):
just a lot here, a lotlot. Yeah. Yeah. I see
him on the sidelines a lot andbefore games and he's yeah, he comes
down and does quite a bit withus, So, yeah, that's cool,
that's good. How's Danny. Danny'sgreat. He gave us some insight
to the post Pete carroll Erra we'llhave that up on our podcast page later
on. But Danny's doing great. He's all the way in New York,
(32:59):
but we'll see him soon. It'sgood. It's good when you come back
home where you get your start, right, that's where he started, is
right here with Cross and Gas.Yeah, okay, afternoon. That was
always a There is two segments whenI first got back to Seattle in two
thousand and six, I never wantedto miss with Cross and Gas. One
was with Jim Moore and then withDaniel Neil, the writers I plucked and
(33:19):
gener Radio. Yeah, so it'slike yeah, yeah, well yeah,
one of them, two of them. That's fine. That's fine. Yeah,
I know. So it's always goodto hear from those guys. So
that's good. Yeah, that's good. We got a big show coming up
to Yeah, I wanted to hearabout that. We're going to Randy Mueller,
former GM Executive of the Year,is going to join us at one
twenty today. He put together andI appreciate this. He did all that
(33:42):
I like when people do the heavylifting for us. He put together a
top one fifty list of NFL freeagents, So we'll go through some of
those guys, but more importantly, kind of talk about the process from a
GM standpoint, what he thinks.John Schneider was going through and thinking what
other guys are doing and thinking, and then his thoughts on what they had.
Leonard Williams. He had Leonard Williamslike really high him fourteen out of
(34:02):
one to fifty. Oh yeah,I saw his list that really he had
him really high. So he hadso we have him. He'll talk about
that. We'll talk about the newsafety coming in Jenkins. Well, we'll
get we'll get to all that withRandy at one twenty and then a roundtable
today I was on with Chuck andHugh Millen and Greg Bell. We pull
a little snippe out, we'll playa two o'clock. I want to kind
(34:22):
of go back through that, talkingabout a couple of position groups that I
think are worthy of discussion. AndMike Benton is going to join us.
The Captain that Lived. He's allup in arms. Daily power play coming
up today. He's you know,it's just a stressful time of the year
in the hockey world. They're onthe verge of getting knocked out of the
playoff or eliminated. So yeah,he's on a little bit of a stress
(34:43):
test. So you know what agood A good Mike Ben is a stress
Mike Ben. You know, sometimeshe's just you know, he needs it.
You don't notice that kid doesn't knowlike that what that's like, because
he's got you know, Jim inhere, that's half comatos most of the
time, right, just kind ofsitting there. What happened? I don't
know. I don't know. Ididn't know about I should actually check in
(35:05):
with him and see what's going ondown there. I want to know if
he's actually at the games or ifhe's just wait un till six o'clock to
night, he's going to go thecoupe game. That's it. What's he
gonna do down there? So yeah, I got check in. Okay,
very very important question because we heardon the morning show today they ranked us
on who you'd want to go toVegas with, ranked all of the hosts
(35:25):
and producers. Oh yeah, whatwas the ranking? I apparently came up
Flowers Chris Kidd dead less because hedoesn't drink, and I think that's the
perfect person to bring to me ifyou need a driver. Sure, someone
who are remembers everything. Okay, what's the list? So? Okay,
just it's it's everyone, It's everyone. So you just go in order of
(35:50):
timing Ashley, Chuck, Buck,Puck, Jim, Chris Kidd, me,
you, Anders, Jackson, Softy, Dick. Okay, so what's
the What were the rankings? Oh, I don't know. Great job,
Jess So it was Jessamine was first. They had Softy two. Really,
well, you're gonna get a lotwith Softy right where you say it a
(36:12):
lot? What do you mean bya lot? You're gonna get everything.
You're gonna get excitement, drinking energy. So the full Softy experience. Hey,
this is their rankings. By theway, don't no I understanding I'm
making a comment here. It's thefull Softy experience. Is something else like
it? Really, I don't know. I'm one of the few that's really
experienced the full Softy experience. Thefull Softy experience is it's a lot.
(36:37):
Like it's a lot. But youknow what I'm not saying. I wouldn't
have him up there because he golfs. He gambles, he drinks. That's
all you need right there. Okay, I golf, I would gamble.
I don't drink. Now what forestwhere you rank me? Yeah? But
you don't really golf. You sayyou golf, You don't really golf that
well, you're not like an avidgolfer. You're not the guy that said,
like if I say, hey,we're gonna get up and we're gonna
go, we got a seven am T time, Okay, see exactly,
(37:00):
so softies two who's honestly, theyall individually ranked him, so it
wasn't a show. It was kindof so Chuck had his list and and
actually had me my list. Wheredid I land? You were? I
got a lot of high rankings. You on their list though, like seven
eight? Really seven eight? Butthis is again, this is Chuck buckan
(37:20):
acty. They didn't combine and saythis is where we rank him. This
is so bucky. For example,He's like, kid, I had you
like number six, and Chuck waslike, kid, I had nothing to
do with it, and Ashley like, I had you last. Well,
I'm gonna say this right now,I've done doing the roundtable. If I
got ranked that love so I've donemy last roundtable. Just I like I'm
fun in Vegas. I am reallyfun in Vegas. So, yeah,
(37:42):
Andrews, I've bet Andrews would befun. He got ranked low too?
Is that I hear? I waslast for nest Are you taking Anderson over
me? Is that what I'm hearing? Yeah, I'm gonna put me on
the spot before your show go.No, I'm taking my wife before I
take you, guys, because everyonechanges in Vegas. My life changes in
Vegas. Like she's got a differentshe's got a whole different personality. Like
(38:05):
like Vegas Tammy is a whole differentbeast. It's always Vegas kids. Yeah,
I like it, all right, all right, all right, so
you're in Okay, that's good.Yeah, one of those guys, I'll
tell you right now, next timethey call me to go on their damn
show, I'm not doing it.I'm done. I should have been at
least a top four seed. IfI'm not a top four seed, I'm
I mean, really pucket softy me. I think pucking Jim we're up there
(38:27):
too, Yeah, Jim, Yeah, I think we're We're sending im into
his show with a lot of newfoundenergy. Yeah, pissed off right now,
Yeah, kind of pissed off. You're all commanders pretty upset, right,
Okay, Well, stay tuned.Ian for Neest coming up next.
Obviously a lot of fun coming up. Randy Mueller amazing insight on the inside
(38:51):
of the head of a GM,especially right now as free agency goes.
Well, he'll be up next.Thank you so much. That's been McIntyre.

no shoes, no dies. Anybodylike to smoke some poe. I was
