Chubby Checker appeared on American Bandstand andperformed the Twist. The song went
to number one on the Billboard Hotone hundred and again eighteen months later in

nineteen sixty two. It's the onlysong to go to the top of the
charts on two separate occasions. Thisweek in nineteen eighty four, the Prince
album Purple Rain, which also servesas the soundtrack to the film of the
same name, hits number one inthe US, where it stays for an
amazing twenty two weeks. This weekin nineteen eighty seven, after years of
delays, Deaf Leopard's Hysteria album isreleased in the US. The follow up

to their breakout album Pyromania. Hadmany delays from producers to drummer Rick Allen
losing his arm in a car accident. It was all worth the weight.
Hysteria eventually sold over twenty five millioncopies worldwide. Even singles from the album
made the hot one hundred. You'dthink Pour Some Sugar on Me was the
biggest hit from Hysteria. You'd bewrong. It was Love Bites, which

hit number one and this week.In twenty twenty, the Psychedelic Furs release
Made of Rain, their first albumsince nineteen ninety one, the year they
