Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the NFL Draft.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Now back to the Virginia Mason Athletics Center and the
twenty twenty five NFL Draft and brought to you by
Cors Life, by R and R Foundation specialist, the Queen
Anne beer Hall, and by Fox thirteen on Sports Radio
ninety three point three kJ R FL.

Speaker 3 (00:20):
All right, we are back at the Virginia Mason Athletic Yaw,
we are center there. Man, catch you out guard so
many times you've been. You are listening to the talk
man Draft coverage brought to you by Coors Light, R
and R Fundation specialist, the Queen Anne beer Hall and
Fox thirteen. My name is Christopher Kidd, which won by
Anderson Hurst, not Anders, not Andrews. His name is his

(00:41):
mama named him Anderson. So I'm a carm Anderson.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Oh Christopher, you're a smart man. Picked on very quickly.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
And Jessamin McIntyre and we got Mitch on the ones
and twos back at the studio. What it's actually, Mitchell,
I reduce the entire thing I can like, So Jesse Maine,
I see that they're moving some equipment. That is correct.

Speaker 4 (01:04):
So the business that is what we call a step
and repeat it is a Seahawked emblazon. My question how
the particular should take that is very dependent on the day.
So once they put that up, they're getting ready.

Speaker 3 (01:22):
But uh, producing on the flyes we call it.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
I think we're good for now. If we need to roll,
I think let's just get it.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Let's give it a few and see how long it takes.
If we're looking at waiting ten minutes, we can you know,
then we can say let's just go with our plan
or a plan.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Yeah, planning. Okay, quick recap if you're just now listening
joining in. The Seahawks have made a whole eleven picks overall,
and the twenty twenty five draft they covered I think
every need except for just pointed out cornerback. That was
the one thing that she was edge. I was getting
to you, Anderson. You couldn't wait, could you?

Speaker 1 (02:02):
You said, accept cornerback.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
So cornerback and including Anderson Sadian edge was addressed. So
first round eighteen pick overall, Gray Zabels. They had two
second round picks, Nick Jess's last name em and Worry
and Elijah Arroyo out of Miami. Third round pick Jalen
Millroad Love it fifth round on, Riley Mills fifth round

(02:28):
one sixty six, Tory Horton fifth round one seventy.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Five, Robbie It's.

Speaker 3 (02:33):
Sixth round one, Brice Cable Doo seventh round. They had
three picks there, Damian Martinez out of the U and
Mason Richmond out of Iowa State two thirty four, and
Ricky White the third two thirty eight. That's the class.
I don't think they're doing anything else because I've seen
some movement up front, so I am sold that they were.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
I mean, the last pick was just taken, so that's
the draft is over.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
I know that right well. And also his name, gotcha,
Kobe Minor.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Somebody was listening.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
I'm kidding another Kobe Yeah, joking off air about you know,
I can't wait to see all the lebrons that are
coming into the world the next ten years.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
We'll get to that later.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Out of two hundred and fifty seven picks, the Steahawks
made their last one at two thirty eight over all
in the draft, So they've had the rest of the
draft to prepare for this post press conference that we'll
hear from John and Mike McDonald's. So if it's one
thing if they were picking, you know, the last five
picks of the draft, because then they'd have to make
their calls, they'd have to make some plans, and they'd

(03:34):
still be kind of wrapping up their draft. But they
had pretty much been able to do that for about
the past twenty thirty minutes.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
I like where this roster's headed.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
I'm not going to lie. It's I think they did
a really good job of getting I don't want to
say that. I like where this team is at with
the picks that they brought in. I know they want
to go best player available, and not really so much
as the need exactly. That's been the kind of discussion.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
To me. It's almost as if they've gone need.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Well, they got the highest rated center that can play guard, right,
and that was who they said that was their guy, right,
if he was gonna be there at eighteen, that was
gonna be something they could take. They got a little
nervous when Booker went off the board at twelve to
the Cowboys, but everything kind of fell into shape, so
their guy was there. I guess we'll never know what
happens if Gray is not there. They still take Nick.

(04:24):
That changed the whole dynamic of the draft right for
the Seahawks. That is so for me based on what
they've said and how the draft has gone, I think
they went best player available to use that guy that
is on top of our board, despite the position of
need which was talked about coming up to this point
in the draft, which was what offensive line the one
thing that has been holding this team back for years,

(04:46):
missing the playoffs the last two years. The offensive line
had a huge part to do with that. We saw
the transformation that the defense made with Mike McDonald and
what he brought to the team and the defense. Okay,
making some trades getting Ernest Jones midseason, you saw what
that did. Now they're looking to do that with the
offensive line, and I think Gray might be that stepping
stone to get this team to where they want to be,

(05:07):
which is back in the playoff hunt with a chance.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
To hold Lombardy. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (05:10):
If there's one theme that I can kind of take
away from from the player the halls that they have
in this twenty twenty five draft class, I think it's upside.
There's a lot of guys on here with injury histories.
There's a lot of guys where you may have some
questions whether it's a Jalen Milroe, the QP out of Alabama,
where you know his accuracy is into question, whether it's

(05:32):
someone like Tory Horton in the fifth round where he's
coming off a big injury. Same thing with Riley Mills
the Notre Dame d tackle as well. So there's a
lot of guys where it feels like the Seahawks almost
felt pretty lucky that this type of talent fell to
them where they did, and they're trusting the medical process
to kind of do its thing and make sure that

(05:56):
they are clear to be able to not have any
concerns moving forward. So I'm thinking, I'm thinking a lot
of upside guys on this, on this on this draft class,
and even with the first pick with Gray's abel like
that the tools are all there. He showed out at
the Senior Bowl, Yes, but he played in North Dakota State, right,

(06:18):
so that I mean there's an element of risk there
with a lot of his tape.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
So I brought this up with MJ on the midday
on Friday. If I'm not mistaken, I mentioned the fact, okay,
with Travis Hunter he went to a school HBCU, Right, Okay,
I know the talent there is not what it is
at the at the FBS level right, clearly aware of that.
But if he's the best football player on the field

(06:43):
by a mile, it wasn't close. There were questions coming in,
Oh can you do that at Colorado?

Speaker 1 (06:48):
I don't know?

Speaker 3 (06:49):
And what did he do when them both sides of
the football did his thing? Now, I don't know if
Grey's abel was the best athlete every single time in
every game.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
You're telling line for sure.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
No, I think I think you can. I don't say
I know. I think you flipped on the tape and
you saw this dude launching people all over the place,
getting up field, dominated bowl. That's my point. So if
he does that on tape, it don't matter where or
who are you playing against. You are superior and you're
going to show it. He just happened to be at
North Dakota State and dominating, so so what and like

(07:24):
you mentioned at the Senior Bowl, he did it. It
wasn't an issue against those dudes in the bigger that's
my point. So I really don't. I mean, those are
the guys that lined up against him. He can only
do so much. But like you mentioned, Senior Bowly, dominated.
I think at the next level, just got.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
To do it again.

Speaker 5 (07:38):
What about the dude, it's a little bit injury history
for you, like, uh, the Elijah Royos, the Riley Mills,
the Tory Horden's.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
So that's where it gets.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
Okay, it's a risk reward right if you're healthy, Oh
my gosh, this is But if he's not well, then
that history comes up to question. So why would you
take a guy right? Why would you take that risk
knowing the history?

Speaker 5 (08:02):
Yeah, I think, especially in the draft, I think a
lot of people fall in love with the upside a
little bit and without thinking about, you know, what it.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
Could possibly be.

Speaker 5 (08:09):
So I just see a lot of players that, especially
with people that I trust, evaluating. I remember Hu Millan
when he was talking about Elijah Roya, the tight end.
He's like, I didn't even realize this guy was a
tight end. He runs so smoothly and he looks like
the way he runs he's.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Like six to two. But then he comes out he's six'.
Five it's like how.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
He has the, hands he has. Everything the reason he
felt is the auxen you know the late second round
is because of the injury. History, yeah it.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Says this is according to The, beast missed most of
twenty twenty two and twenty twenty three seasons after the Torn. Aco,
yeah so that's a big. Concern but to your point
about a guy that's huge and his, fluid loose athlete
for that, position this is what they wanted out Of
noah fan, right he just couldn't stay. Healthy BECAUSE i
think If Noah fense was healthy throughout the, Season, YEAH

(08:55):
i think he'd be.

Speaker 5 (08:55):
Fine Riley mills also at a TORN. Acl so they're
taking dudes where they think that they're trusting that they're
gonna be the same football players that they showed.

Speaker 3 (09:04):
Before it's also not in the. Draft they also Signed Cooper. Cup,
YEAH i guy that has been banged up the last few. Seasons,
yeah AND i found out the hard way because of fantasy. Purpose,
yeah that's a hard. Breaker took that dude in the first.

Speaker 1 (09:16):
ROUND i won. Years that's still.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
Better, yeah good.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
Too you're also smacking me in fantasy baseball right. NOW
i forgot to start a first, Basement so that's a,
WELL i put someone on the eye olt AND i
forgot to start.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Someone but to your, Point, anderson that's the risk. Reward,
yeah that's kind of are you gonna worry about his
history all, together or are you're gonna just say it's
a football. PLAYER i love WHAT i see on. Tape
this guy can help the. Offense, yeah we're gonna take.

Speaker 6 (09:43):
Him.

Speaker 5 (09:43):
Yeah, WELL i mean so rarely do you get the
combination of a really good football player with only, upside no,
downside out a position of. Need usually one of those
three things are are not going to be, there Right
and you, know maybe the first round, Pick Gray, label
you could, say, okay that that all the three things,
happened which is why he ended up being their first round,
pick but even their their second pick nick Emmn, Wori,

(10:05):
LIKE i don't think safety was the biggest position in
Neat you Got kobe And Julian love there right. Now
but he's a really good football player with no, downside
a ton of upside that they had to take the
shot on, that and then you start kind of doing other.
Things you go down the list and there's a lot
of those guys you could say the same thing.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
About, NO i hear you on. That so to be, honest,
Yeah Julian love signed that extension through twenty twenty, Seven
SO i understand the safety, part to be, honest just
because as you, said it's a three year WAS i
mentioned a three year, Deal so it's not something that's long.
Term john didn't, sign but you gotta take that player he's,
available and that's what they. Did so we're gonna take
a quick break, here we'll come back and hopefully we

(10:42):
can hear From John schneider And mike McDonald about their
final day of the. Draft you've been listening TO nfl
twelve Man draft coverage on ninety two point THREE KJR.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Fm welcome to THE Nfl.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Draft now back to The Virginia Mason Athletics center and
THE Nfl draft and brought to you By Coors, light
BY r AND R foundation specialist The Queen anne Beer,
hall and By fox thirteen On Sports radio ninety three
point three kJ R.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
Fl all, right welcome back to the twelve man draft
coverage brought to you By Corps, LIGHT r AND R foundation,
specialists The Queen anne Beer hall And fox. Thirteen my
name Is, CHRISTOPHER i am joined By Anderson Jessman stupp
the way to get us some? Drinks and what?

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Else oh where are?

Speaker 3 (11:32):
We?

Speaker 1 (11:33):
Oh i'm waiting for?

Speaker 6 (11:34):
It?

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Oh, great.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
Tease we're at The Virginia Mason Athletic, center yes on
ninety three point THREE KJR, fm wrapping up this draft.
Coverage we're waiting on head Coach mike McDonald And John
schneider to break down everything that has gone over in this.
DRAFT i think we are all pretty much impressed by
what The seahawks have. Done, YEP i could. Be i'll

(11:56):
be stunned to see if someone was, like, oh they
did a terrible. Job didn't like WHAT i?

Speaker 1 (12:00):
Saw this is a?

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Reach why they trade this guy trade With, YEAH i
can only imagine probably a few people out, there BUT
i MEAN i remember having a similar feeling after last
year's draft, too and similar as to the feeling you
have now with a great haul or.

Speaker 5 (12:14):
No, yeah just, like, OH i feel pretty good about
this like these these, Guys LIKE i, said it's it's
so hard to tell at this early. Stage oh, yeah
quite every every team says they get exactly the player
they were all hoping, for, like, oh we had them
so much higher on our, board and like it's just
it's just how it. Goes you're gonna be hyped about
the players that you. Get adding players of your team
is always an exciting part of building AN nfl. Roster

(12:35):
SO i will have to see about how all these
guys pan. Out BUT i like the kind OF i
don't want to say risk because like kind of what
we talked about with upside injury, history all that kind of,
Stuff BUT i like that they're kind of shooting for
the stars a little. Bit they believe, that you, know
they needed to get a little bit more. PHYSICAL i
think a physicality factor really played into this this draft

(12:57):
process for for The, seahawks AND i like WHAT i
see so. Far so it will be interesting to see
how how many of these guys make an impact and year,
one probably two or three guys to Be, yeah it's
it's it's always like you always just look at these
traits and you kind of picture them on the football,
field but then you realize that there's you know, what
fifty other guys that are already part of the roster

(13:18):
that can are gonna have bigger roles than a lot
of these guys. Already So i'm interested to see kind
of you know What john And mike say about this
hall and, uh you, know we'll kind of take, it
uh you, know minute by minute as we wait for
them to hop up on the.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Podium i'm, curious who do you think will have an
impact this.

Speaker 5 (13:36):
SEASON i, mean, obviously if you're gonna pick guard first,
round you expect him to play right.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
And you'll expect.

Speaker 5 (13:44):
Guarantee, YEAH i, mean especially Losing Anthony, bradford he seems
like you're plug and play left guard at this point in,
time so That but the One I'M i kind of
am looking forward to the most Is Elijah. ROYO i
know a lot of people are hyped About Nick Kevin
warrey as, WELL i as. WELL I i can't wait
to see those physical traits play out onto the, field
and the fact that you got him in the second

(14:05):
round is. Huge BUT i want to see if A
Elijah royal is truly healthy and be if he's gonna
be that difference maker at the tight end position that
we haven't seen. SOMETIME i think that'll be huge for
whoever's playing, quarterback Probably Sam darnold this. Year uh if
he is that type of, guy because he seems like
to me like a pretty uh standard pass catching tight.
End he's not gonna do a ton of block in
WHICH i think is one of the reasons why they

(14:26):
Got robbie oots, Later i'm.

Speaker 1 (14:28):
Gonna say it better than. That, man.

Speaker 4 (14:31):
There you.

Speaker 5 (14:31):
Go but, No i'm really intrigued by. HIM i think
that the tools are. There it's just really if if
the injury history is gonna.

Speaker 1 (14:41):
Play itself.

Speaker 5 (14:41):
OUT i know he didn't have the best stats in.
College but we talked TO mj yesterday and follows, closely
Uh miami. Football. Uh and he was saying how because
a lot of the weapons that had to tell him
to wipe his lips, sometimes, like buh you Are i'm
gonna need you to check LIKE i know you're a. Fanatic,
yeah but, yeah and he said some things that were

(15:02):
a little the most explosive offense and instead of a
history last. Year, OKAY i don't know about, CONTINUE i
don't know about, that but that's. Anyways but, Uh i'm
really intrigued By royal BECAUSE i think.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
So he would be one guy that you think can
make an. Impact let me rephrase, it outside Of gray's A,
yeah who are the two to three guys you think
can make an? Impact you Think elijah o'roo And Nick Kevin.

Speaker 5 (15:25):
WARD i, Mean i'm, chok but, yeah you're two second
round PICKS i think are right on that. LIST i
also Think Tory, horton so you're gonna need an x
Uh and he seems like the type of guy who
he's gonna put up some.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
NUMBERS i think he's a lock to make the. Roster,
Yeah and he, said, yeah put up. Numbers so the
one way you put up numbers is to be a
luck on the. Roster So i'm with. You i'll Go
Tory horton And i'll Go Robbie.

Speaker 1 (15:49):
Oots the full.

Speaker 5 (15:51):
BACK i mean that's a good point because we all
know That Klick kubiak likes to around a full.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Back if they're gonna If Kim warker is gonna eclipse a,
THOUSAND i Think robbie is gonna be leading the.

Speaker 7 (16:01):
Way.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
Yeah and he's gonna be in the pressers TALK k.
Nine they is gonna be in the pressers talking About,
Hey oots is out there ootzing it up for. Me,
man he's creating holes and shoutut to the offensive. LINE
i wouldn't be able to do it without. Them that's
just the type of PLAYER k nine. Is but that's
who those are two players That i'm looking. For looking at,
THAT i, say, okay that will be an impact player

(16:23):
at the position of not need.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
But just because they were the best.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
Available, yeah AND i Know tori that to, me that's
just a Still but to the injury, history that's probably
why he didn't fall to the field. Rounds but even
after his, injury he ran a four four. One so
he's getting healthy and by the fall of this season
or by the season, start he might be back to
where he's one hundred percent healthy or close to. It,
Right SO i think those two guys are definitely going.

Speaker 5 (16:48):
To Be and he's, tall but he's not a big,
dude you know WHAT i. Mean so you're not going
to get THE dk metcalf out of.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
Him, no There's unfortunately you're not gonna see ANOTHER Dk.
No but at six three one ninety, six maybe can
give the two hundred.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
Cool, yeah that's.

Speaker 5 (17:02):
Great you just needed a bigger guy that was more
comfortable on the. Outside and it sounds like from what
we hear From Clay mill and that's kind of where
he likes to. Play he's gonna unlock the, defense kind
of be a vertical. Threat you have a bunch of
guys LIKE jsn And Cooper cup that kind of find
the zone, gaps all, right be that possession.

Speaker 3 (17:18):
Receiver so let's look at. It, okay let's look at
the roster offensively right. Now receiver, wise you got your
Got Cooper, Cup marquez about his scantlings, Backups Jake Bobo,
River Cray, caft and you Got Tory, Horton Cody white
who was he showed something and then you Get Derek.

(17:41):
Young that's all. This this team is really stacked right.

Speaker 5 (17:44):
Now, receiver you think SOME i don't see, that like
the top, end top, dude it's stacked as there's a
lot of talent.

Speaker 3 (17:51):
There, yeah there's a bunch of, guys a bunch of
talented players not. Stacked is gonna be an e leite? Unit, yeah,
potentially If Cooper cup can stay healthy or if he's
gonna take the next. TIME i Think jayson will like
to take the next. Step, Okay it's gonna be interesting
to see how he plays this season when now the
attention is going to be on him as opposed to
last season when it was like six four two twenty,

(18:11):
seven four to. Three whatever it. Is, yeah can't you
gotta pay attention to that?

Speaker 5 (18:15):
Guy and, like is he gonna be A i mean
it's it's tough to throw in with these, names but
these are all number one wide receivers in THE. Nfl
Jamar Chase Justin jefferson is like.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
That it's he's going to.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
Forgo everyone's going to find.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
Out, Yeah i'm. Onst.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
Brown is he gonna be in that? Level the spotlight's
gonna be. Shining, yeah it's gonna be on.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Him.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
Yeah now he did it last season when there was no.
Spotlight he just need to go out there and do
what he, does and he did. It but now it's
you are the number one. Target teams are gonna be like,
yo number. Eleven, yeah we got to shut him. Down
ye with cover, skime cover flat, schemes zone or zone,
six excuse, me cover, nine whatever the coverage you want to,
run cover, six they're gonna be trying to slow Down.

(18:55):
Jackson but that opens up For. Cooper Maybe toy ends
up finding a spot ahead Of Marquez, Baldez. SCANDLING i
should just call HIM mvs because that name is too.
Long so maybe he finds himself in the tharding line of.
Them we just won't know until we get rolling with. Football,
yeah So i'm excited to see where this this wide
receiver unit can go BECAUSE i, said AS i, said
they got a lot of talented, guys a lot of,

(19:17):
talent and when you trade AWAY, dk you're trying to
get that talent.

Speaker 1 (19:21):
Back SO i think what we're.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
Gonna do right now is take a quick break because
we're still Awaiting John schneider and might Be donald to
come up and give there how long we waited last?
Year how long did we wait last? Year BECAUSE i don't,
REMEMBER i get a long time as a long. Wait, yeah,
well thanks for bringing that. Up i'm hoping, wife he
just told. Us, yeah friends toes for, dinner and all
you're telling me is gonna be a long. Wait they
throw it in the oven for you. Boys, YEAH i

(19:44):
apologize BECAUSE i, was you, know getting ready to dip
out here at, five and it's looking like that's not.

Speaker 4 (19:47):
Happening so, well they're making all their free agent calls right.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
Now they're trying to yeah, guy, yeah well you, know,
hey brothers gotta. Eat, okay that's selfish out of. Me
but we'll come back with. More hopefully we'll be able
to play not play. Out we'll have the conversation Of
John schnyder and my McDonald. Again you're listening to twelve
man draft coverage live on ninety three point three kJ
r F.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
M welcome to THE Nfl.

staff the.

Speaker 9 (20:56):

uh taking it in like right now ended we're you,
know the frequency stuff still going on right, now but
uh the guys are in there just kicking butt and,

(21:20):
yeah just very very, grateful, uh very like JUST i don't, Know, proba, yeah,
probably he's very proud of uh everybody And halbardy work
together and you, know completing our our our sixteenth.

Speaker 6 (21:34):
Draft it's a really cool it's a it's a. Blessing
and we're.

Speaker 8 (21:37):
R h like very excited about what we've, added, uh
what we've added to this team and and uh the
depth and the toughness and the uh, yeah the uh
competitors and the reliability and, Yeah i'm just excited for
this like growth minded staff to get their hands on
these guys and get.

Speaker 6 (21:58):
Ripping.

Speaker 10 (22:00):
MAN i didn't Tell john's gonna do, this but JUST
i think it's appropriate from like my, perspective the as
coaches and what we're coming into to share our appreciation
For john and uh our team on on like the
personnel side of the. Ball i'll tell you, What LIKE
i wish you guys could be in that. Room and

(22:21):
how we operated is it's. Different it's unique to the
rest of the.

Speaker 7 (22:25):
League in my, OPINION i think we do it better
than anybody. Else and it's our.

Speaker 10 (22:29):
Style so it's how we want to. Operate everybody is.
Included it's just a special, operation. Man and and, uh
it's just really cool to work Alongside john and see
him do his thing with the rest of the.

Speaker 7 (22:40):
Crew it's just it was.

Speaker 10 (22:43):
Awesome but these, guys they they're they're really good at
what they. Do and, yeah it was a lot of
fun this. Weekend so just uh can't wait to practice next,
week rookie, camp see these guys in here and and
get to work.

Speaker 4 (22:57):
Speak he took up a call From ray To mason
and how that went down and who who decided.

Speaker 3 (23:03):
That was gonna.

Speaker 8 (23:04):
Happen, Yeah, Uh mike found out that usually don't fly
first round draft, picks AND i, guess and so you
know that was Like, saturday M, no Today's, saturday, Sorry friday,
morning and, uh it's like, Yeah so we flew him
in and he came with his folks and so We

(23:25):
mike bought him in and introduced him to everybody and
and we AL i met. HIM i was like we
were talking and said hi to, him we're you, know
wrapped it up or, whatever AND i was, like we're
picking in like two, minutes like, okay so, UH.

Speaker 6 (23:38):
I S i'm.

Speaker 8 (23:38):
Exaggera he was like ten fifteen, minutes but he he
basically was, there AND i was, like, well we kind
of cool if he just The rams did it last
year With Jared, verse AND i was, like oh, yeah
somebody was, like, hey he should announce it Like, Trent
Like trent was like you should announce.

Speaker 9 (23:54):
It so, Yeah richmond said he thought it was a crime.

Speaker 6 (23:56):
Call that's. Funny that's pretty.

Speaker 9 (24:00):
Funny, yeah you hadn't done that before.

Speaker 6 (24:05):
Us no any.

Speaker 8 (24:06):
Showed it was, like you, know if he's ever playing,
center he can do.

Speaker 6 (24:10):
It it was a nice.

Speaker 7 (24:12):
Job so those of us have been around here and there.
Too that was you're pretty enthusiastic about this whole hall
before the three?

Speaker 9 (24:20):
Days is?

Speaker 6 (24:20):
THAT i, YEAH i historic was a little aggressive fast. Thing,
YEAH i was like a slowdown.

Speaker 8 (24:25):
Sheriff but, NO i JUST i don't, know it's just really,
cool like these guys in the like the back that worked.

Speaker 6 (24:35):
It everybody did and uh the uh sorry.

Speaker 8 (24:38):
Sorry, dave the the UH i don't, know like the
The it's just like a it was a, cohesive pro like,
process like we just you, know we worked our tails
off and and it may have a little bit to
do with you, know second year with you, know with
a new you, know with our like the defensive Staff

(25:00):
mike his group.

Speaker 6 (25:02):
And then you know an offensive staff that has been.

Speaker 8 (25:06):
Through, different uh draft, processes whether it Be, Denver minnesota
Or New.

Speaker 11 (25:13):
Orleans mike is a defensive. Guy did you feel about
down with only two guys when you're side.

Speaker 9 (25:17):
Of the ball or.

Speaker 10 (25:18):
OUT i, think, HONESTLY i realized that at the, end
well we're going with the you, know free agency, process
and you, know gave the defensive guys some, grief but
now they're really, excited excited about you, KNOW beautfa class as.
WELL i know the offensive guys were rocking and rolling
today and as they should. Be you, know we, uh
we got some really good players to join the. Team so,

(25:40):
yeah all positive masks.

Speaker 12 (25:42):
Great does that have an EMPHASIS jn or just kind
of the way it happened and end up taking that offensive.

Speaker 6 (25:46):
Bets, no it was just the way it.

Speaker 8 (25:48):
Happened we had some defensive guys that you know we
talk about like the, upsets and you, know things started.
Happening so it was, like, okay we're going on, Here
we're going, Here we're going, here and, yeah just they
they the offensive guys end up standing out on our.

Speaker 13 (26:07):
Report could you'll do When richmond both played tackle primarily
the college or what what did you see from them
on film and in the pre draft process to draft
that as guys that you could slide.

Speaker 7 (26:17):
Inside where do they fit into.

Speaker 8 (26:19):
Competitioning, Yeah bryce's you, know he's like like thirty thirty thirty,
guy really. Athletic, uh chip on his, shoulder very, Smart,
uh projected to play. Inside. Uh and Then richmond, is you,
know well start of a. Tackle but coaches, like like

(26:40):
the buy in there was, awesome like they, were they
were so excited when and believe it or, not in
the seventh, round it does get hairy like, that you.
Know so they were they were so stoked to be
able to get. Him and, yeah SO jv WAS jv
was pretty fared.

Speaker 12 (26:54):
Up do you do what a A A a class
that seemed so excited get through a humble and ready to.

Speaker 6 (27:01):
Go AND i would also use the word vibe cause it.

Speaker 7 (27:03):
Teams like give me one of 'em kind of had
this vibe about yeah you really be and also playing
for The.

Speaker 6 (27:09):
SEAHAWKS i don't.

Speaker 14 (27:11):
UH i think it's the the it's a credit to
the the players and the competitors that and then the
credit to the scouts and the coaches working together to
figure out like what a what our guys are and
what what does The seahawk look like as we move forward?

Speaker 6 (27:28):
Here and, uh, YEAH i.

Speaker 8 (27:31):
THINK i think it's gonna be uh LIKE I i
can see this group if you look at the, group
or cause if you can see 'em like, interacting hanging.

Speaker 12 (27:38):
Out so, Yeah scott, A, uh the scouting community is
pretty tight.

Speaker 13 (27:43):
That across the.

Speaker 6 (27:43):
League, yeah the white teams all are the choral. Today,
yeah The urs you thought on. That, YEAH i just you, Know.

Speaker 8 (27:53):
Matt's a really, awesome awesome, guy AND I, i, YEAH
i feel.

Speaker 6 (27:56):
AWFUL i feel awful for. Him, YEAH i don't. KNOW
i couldn't imagine what he's going.

Speaker 8 (28:04):
Through and you, know when you spend that much time
away from your, family you end up like having dinners
and coffees and beers and all that with a lot
of guys in different teams and you become very. Close and,
uh we Loved, matt AND.

Speaker 6 (28:21):
I thought it was pretty cool we did. That but
NOW i THINK i, think, YEAH i think it Was
ed's idea At dodd's. Wish, yeah that's kind of a hard.
Ass so kind of surprised, me, Though, john is.

Speaker 12 (28:32):
Uh your, type your largest free or your large draft
class of all the. Players and then you also uh
drafted six offensive linemen uh the last two, years the
most in THE. Nfl talk about the investment you guys
are making in that is consider a condition.

Speaker 6 (28:46):
Group.

Speaker 7 (28:47):
Uh gray was.

Speaker 8 (28:49):
Standalone uh you, Know bryce was this guy That trent
and And kirk like l had a lot of you,
know like very much under the radar kind of.

Speaker 6 (29:02):
Dude and and.

Speaker 8 (29:05):
Then we had buy in with you, know with With,
mason with you, know the coaches and the guys who
went to the school on the intelligence and the.

Speaker 6 (29:12):
The, COMPETITOR i mean the toughness.

Speaker 8 (29:14):
Too that the he he started uh or he played
last uh two thousand twenty, three played, though LIKE i
think it was almost the whole season on a in
a hairline fracture and his LIKE i and they he
probably should he he wanted to help, them and he
played through it and which.

Speaker 6 (29:29):
Is pretty rare these. Days uh used to happen all the.
Time but uh, yeah he played through. It so.

Speaker 8 (29:40):
THE i it's it's it's an area needed but always,
is you KNOW I I i can't emphasize that. ENOUGH
I mean every team in The National Football league is
looking to help their offensive, line and you, know it's
it's just an ongoing issue and we'll have these guys
in competing and you, know we'll see where it goes
with this with this new, group with these three guys

(30:01):
coming in and the you, know uh free agents that we,
signed and so see what it looks.

Speaker 12 (30:05):
Like did he able to s uh the Uh Sam
howe and we kind of that traded being able to
pull that off and being to be able to add some,
picks and that just kind of had.

Speaker 6 (30:12):
To that development, Work.

Speaker 8 (30:15):
Uh started at the owners meeting with you, know talking
With kevin and And rob and and Rober zinski and
in quessy just about the situation and what it looked.
Like and, yeah we had met With drew down there
and and, uh there's a possibility to Sign drew back
and then m. Mm we liked the quarterbacks and the

(30:36):
draft and we thought there was an opportunity and we
thought there was a chance that might.

Speaker 6 (30:40):
Happen so.

Speaker 8 (30:43):
There's there were several teams that were interested and, Uh
minnesota was a team that ended up pulling the.

Speaker 9 (30:48):
Trigger is that you mentioned what a seahawk looks?

Speaker 3 (30:50):
Like And i'm just wondering when you look at this
class as a.

Speaker 12 (30:52):
Whole is there kind of a a shared identity or
what are the kind the common components that.

Speaker 9 (30:57):
You see across a bunch.

Speaker 8 (30:58):
Of these guys, smart, tough, reliable, swaggy athletic.

Speaker 6 (31:06):
SPEED i, mean the THE gps you know that they.

Speaker 8 (31:10):
DID i, mean you, know we added a two hundred
seventy five pound fullback that runs nineteen miles an hour
and that's pretty.

Speaker 6 (31:19):
Cool.

Speaker 8 (31:19):
Here it's a lot of what does pasts, say a
lot OF uhl momentum heading downhill or it's got some
Pat ward shout out hat like you.

Speaker 5 (31:30):
Talk a lot about the style of football you want
to play to to add.

Speaker 7 (31:33):
Of a full back and then it really physical running
back as.

Speaker 6 (31:35):
Well what can that do for?

Speaker 7 (31:36):
YOU u S i. Have i'm really excited to see
him out there do their. Thing, YEAH i, Mean i'm
really excited to see our run game come to. Life
these guys. Fit we're trying to do how we wanna do.

Speaker 10 (31:50):
It you gotta move, people, man and you gotta get
downhill and play north and. South and that's what they're
gonna help us. Do and, so, uh JUST i don't,
Know JUST i can't. WAIT i can't wait for a
bit of gid heer and just teach them all the
stuff and you, know let's get rocking and. Wrong but,
yeah they're gonna be Uh they're gonna be a big

(32:11):
part of what we're doing and competing with the rest
of the guys we've got around roster right now that
we're really excited about and it's gonna be an awesome.

Speaker 12 (32:17):
Competition, mike you talked about wanting to find an a gap,
player find a gap, player and by some, estimates this
was a good draft to find. It as tackles, that,
RIGHT i do not follow you, guys or you have
other plans.

Speaker 7 (32:30):
There, YEAH i think kind of both are.

Speaker 10 (32:33):
Fair you, know if there was a there's an opportunity for,
US i think we probably would have gone for. It
i'll to speak For, john but, uh but, yeah like
we still got a long time before we, play you,
know so there's gonna be hopefully some more opportunities this
week unfold.

Speaker 11 (32:48):
There, john how do you See riley into that and
make some of the d? Lineman where do you see
his best? Fit and how's he coming back from the?

Speaker 6 (32:54):
Injury? Excited he's doing, great you know We uh we
flew him.

Speaker 8 (32:58):
In he was able to spend time with with Doctor
ed and, uh he was pleased with where he's going
with his post. COMBINE i think were his only thirty
is it? RIGHT i think, so, Yeah and uh, yeah
he's able To ed was able to you, know have another,
exam felt good about, it and he's he's doing great

(33:19):
with his. Rehab we're and we're, hope we're hopeful that you,
know like mid to the later, season he's he's gonna
be a viable candidate to add to to to our.

Speaker 6 (33:28):
Group and he's a, he's, he's he's he's a really good.

Speaker 8 (33:32):
Player and if we wouldn't have drafted, Him i'm not
sure if a d would have showed up for work On.

Speaker 11 (33:39):
Monday and then it's been along the line for you,
guys how do you see that come work?

Speaker 10 (33:43):
On uh, yeah he's got position flexibility for us and,
bass you, know he could play at least two spots
and then you know when we're in four down or
our sub, stuff you, know playing, inside we also have
like a we'll see how he plays like the big
end sometimes.

Speaker 7 (33:58):
Like a six, technique so like the multiple.

Speaker 10 (34:00):
Gaps thing on early downs and then you, know going
through it and meet, him talking football with him and
seeing how he approaches the game with his like approach
with the rush and how they orchestrate their you, know
pass rush.

Speaker 7 (34:12):
Games he's, like he's truly.

Speaker 10 (34:14):
Impressive it's sounds like a five six year you, know
vet of how it's designed and like the intent of
tent of the movements and all that type of.

Speaker 7 (34:21):
Stuff so you, know, look compete for pass rush naps.

Speaker 12 (34:25):
Too how did you guys think of the two r
siters working like your wife that ye at it?

Speaker 8 (34:29):
Today, Well Robert turbine texting, me so he was all fired,
up you, know covering those. Guys, uh he loves them,
both so, yeah, No, uh it's pretty cool.

Speaker 7 (34:39):
Though he he loves those guys.

Speaker 6 (34:41):
And and, uh it's just fun getting those.

Speaker 8 (34:43):
From you, know guys that you've drafted in the, past you,
know and it's.

Speaker 6 (34:47):
A huge part of our.

Speaker 8 (34:48):
Family but, Yeah tori is you, Know tory is an
underrated guy and and you know in our, opinion he,
H i, mean he can turn the. Punts he's you,
know the, radius he's like this, long like, competitive like
very fast. Receiver uh, yeah and then, uh you Know

(35:10):
ricky like the Special team, sport you, know J jade
and and uh fits were really excited about. Him and
and you know the guys that you, Know josh and
like all those, GUYS i mean he he's like he's
blocked four.

Speaker 6 (35:21):
PUNTS i, mean he's he he personally he kind of
reminded me Of Donald, driver who we we. Drafted, well
ACTUALLY i shouldn't say. THAT i wasn't. THERE i came
after that, draft but, uh they had drafted.

Speaker 8 (35:32):
Him in the sixth round and he was one of
the better special teams players in the in the league
before he you, know just completely established himself as a,
like there are our number one. Receiver so, uh that's
that's kind of who he reminded me. Of was just
this tough like and he's a he's kind of got
that gangly.

Speaker 6 (35:48):
Feel to him.

Speaker 7 (35:49):
Too both guys are kind of we call, it we
call hard and t.

Speaker 8 (35:52):
BONE i, guess so, yeah if you guys are interviewing,
him but uh, yeah excited about both those guys and
a uh about to add of the group?

Speaker 15 (36:02):
Quarterback was that another uh position where the board just
didn't fall right right to the?

Speaker 6 (36:06):
Quarterback? There yes it, didn't it didn't fall that? Way
yet what do you feel like you're standing?

Speaker 7 (36:13):
There, like is there still work to be?

Speaker 6 (36:14):
Done? Best? All?

Speaker 3 (36:15):
Yes the uh sorry that seriously what the pigs or
the trades or was you're trading back your.

Speaker 5 (36:22):
Trade then you're trading, sad then you're trading.

Speaker 6 (36:24):
Away, again and then the.

Speaker 12 (36:25):
Pictures what's that whole process like when you got so
many things are juggling AS.

Speaker 6 (36:31):
I just think our guys did a great.

Speaker 8 (36:32):
JOB i, think you, know With nolan And trent And
matt And willie And, aaron those guys around the. PHONE
i mean they're communicating not necessarily on the phone. Anymore
we always used to be on the. Phone now like
it was just it's way more. Quiet it was just
Like texas and then get on the phone at the
very end if things get you, know it turned.

Speaker 6 (36:50):
Up but uh.

Speaker 8 (36:53):
Uh that was that did move pretty quick, though and,
yeah no one had stuff one of those other teams,
too so and then try and, yeah so it got
to a fuck you there for a.

Speaker 6 (37:04):
Minute but it was.

Speaker 8 (37:06):
Great it was very smooth and nobody panicked every kind
of just, yeah.

Speaker 6 (37:10):
Kept it all together and we just moved through.

Speaker 7 (37:13):
It how much Did tennessee jumping up in front of
you trigger and.

Speaker 6 (37:18):
Did you? React knocks? That, no we were playing on
that board and.

Speaker 3 (37:23):
Like for, you who's newer to this and what's it
like just to watch all them work in that situation
where all those guys are making all that.

Speaker 10 (37:29):
Happen, yeah it's, uh it's impressive for, me like the
the alignmental we're trying to.

Speaker 7 (37:34):
Achieve and then you, know.

Speaker 10 (37:39):
Someone that doesn't really know what's going, on you could
be confused for some organized, chaos but it's uh just
succinct and bing bang. Boom and we know we were
trying to get to and so as the offers come,
in like you you, know we keep track of them
and felt, like, uh we ended up and we kind
of we we definitely achieved like the spirit what we
were trying to. Get it felt like and that's what

(38:00):
gets you.

Speaker 8 (38:00):
Excited it's way more it's it's it's way less chaos
than we just went through his.

Speaker 6 (38:06):
Worky free agency.

Speaker 12 (38:10):
Guys and Get riley what what?

Speaker 6 (38:12):
What what did a loves so? Much just his instincts
and his feel for the.

Speaker 10 (38:16):
Game, YEAH i mean we've we've we met with him
at the combine and we got him here and just
again when you when you talk, football this guy and
he kind of when two people that have a lot
of passionate ABOUT d line play kind of get together.

Speaker 7 (38:32):
And you can see where it.

Speaker 10 (38:35):
Goes Justin hines a big part of that process, too
and just like the spirit of how of how he
approaches the game and his, energy, enthusiasm, uh, toughness, competitiveness
but like when when you're able to like when you
again when you turn the tape on and then the
guy just like lights up and he like he's got
all the reasons and this is what we're, thinking and
this is WHAT i was thinking, here and then you,

(38:56):
know you're kind of throwing ideas back and forth like
that's you, know that's like the that's the spirit or.

Speaker 7 (39:02):
Everything you, know that's how it's made right. There that's
big time. Stuff and those are the people we want
in our building that love.

Speaker 9 (39:10):
That type of.

Speaker 7 (39:10):
Thing and when you sharpen each other.

Speaker 9 (39:12):
Like, that you get no choice but to get.

Speaker 7 (39:13):
Better and so he's part of.

Speaker 15 (39:14):
That robby is to plan for him to be your
primary fullback or whatever being a competition for.

Speaker 10 (39:19):
A wrestling you're asking About, riley, Right, Okay, Robbie, okay
you're asking About. Robbie, yeah, KAYAH i just totally didn't answer, that.

Speaker 9 (39:27):
Right i'm, sorry it came it came kind of. Quick, Yeah,
Okay i'm Talking.

Speaker 7 (39:32):
Robbie brody is for him to be your.

Speaker 9 (39:37):
Competition, yeah he's gonna compete With.

Speaker 10 (39:39):
Brady and you, know like you don't have to live
in twenty, one you can be in. TWELVE i mean
there's options to be a different personnel. Group so all
those guys are kind of competing for those roles of
how we wanted to come to. Life so we've got
a lot of great players that kind of fit that
tight end full back mold and.

Speaker 7 (39:55):
Special team is gonna be a big part of it.

Speaker 6 (39:56):
Too AND.

Speaker 10 (39:59):
I know, this like to bet Against Brady russell as
it would be a gigantic. Mistake so he's it's gonna
be to me a lot of.

Speaker 12 (40:07):
Fun are we talking about the use of full black
it's this you, well well the full back ops be
ah back.

Speaker 10 (40:13):
Type, yeah, YEAH i mean you you've seen how that it's,
been you, know deployed in the. Past but, yeah you're
gonna see a Guy you're gonna see two backs back
there a good.

Speaker 15 (40:23):
Bit you're now two full drafts now asad coach here
thinking big, picture how far do you think that you
are and how this team paying with you and pasion
in terms of you, know the.

Speaker 6 (40:34):
The vision that you have for this.

Speaker 9 (40:35):
Roster, YEAH i respect the.

Speaker 10 (40:38):
Question it's not it is not just me saying like
this is this is us getting, together carving this thing,
out one move at a, time one decision at a,
time one. Practice it's just of how we want to.
Become AND i feel like we're making a. LOT i,
mean we're gett we're on our, way like we're. Growing

(40:59):
it's our job expedite that. Process so we're competing for
championships this. YEAR i, mean that's what we want to.
Do And i'm really confident that we're gonna have that.
Opportunity you, know that's that's the expectation for. Us AND
i can tell you like the last week of just
the guys being in the building and the spirit and
the conversations we're. Having the guys LIKE i just it's

(41:19):
so much fun to come to work every day man
and coach these guys LIKE i can't wait for money
to come back and get to the second.

Speaker 7 (41:25):
Week of phase to phase. One you, know that's the
way it should.

Speaker 10 (41:28):
Be that's the environment we're trying to create that these
guys are excited to come to work every day and you,
know keep keep, connecting keep getting, tougher keep kind of
just ringing out every day and then let the results
kind of speak for.

Speaker 12 (41:41):
Themselves how Integrated Sam donald into all?

Speaker 6 (41:45):
That obviously it's kind of this first. Week how has
that kind of gone so?

Speaker 8 (41:47):
Far?

Speaker 9 (41:48):
OH i Mean sam's kicking.

Speaker 10 (41:50):
BUTT i mean he, Look i'm here in the offensive
plays And i'm, Like i'm trying to envision in my
head and it's a lot and this GUY'S i.

Speaker 7 (41:56):
Mean he's on.

Speaker 10 (41:56):
It like he's really, sharp AND i think just like
the respect that he has for his teammates that he
can command like by.

Speaker 7 (42:04):
Doing his style is really.

Speaker 10 (42:05):
Cool and, yeah we want to empower, him you, know
like something as simple as routes on air to you,
know run on the offense and some sort of no
huddle TEMPT i, mean all those things we want to
we want to gass him, up and we Want sam
to by the best football his.

Speaker 15 (42:19):
Career you, know this can get kind of tricky when
you're trying to keep information like the secret and.

Speaker 9 (42:24):
Everything but did you have to have.

Speaker 11 (42:25):
A conversation With sam About, hey you know, this could
You Sam darnold liked.

Speaker 10 (42:29):
A quarterback they could Become, Yeah, yeah it's became clear
we're gonna we're gonna Pick jalen like.

Speaker 7 (42:36):
Game McCall and just slat him know what was going?
On and he was, great he's. Awesome you did that last?

Speaker 6 (42:40):
Night? Yeah How?

Speaker 9 (42:42):
John was that fret?

Speaker 10 (42:43):
FOR i, mean you know, Me i'm pretty for both.
Guys SO i had a hard time getting to the.

Speaker 7 (42:48):
Point how long was?

Speaker 8 (42:50):
It like like thirteen and a half seconds on this?
Conversation was interesting, conversation quite an interesting.

Speaker 6 (42:57):
Question how long was the?

Speaker 7 (42:58):
CONVERSATION i check my, phone we interview.

Speaker 6 (43:01):
You what movie? Said Step, Stepbroughs we.

Speaker 12 (43:08):
Stepbrothers there's a year long process from twelve hundred players
down to love in the. Effects you guys have been
locking the ever for three. Days do you all like
go out and celebrate at the end of this or
you just all go home and not want to see each.

Speaker 10 (43:21):
Other, oh we're one of the few draft rooms that aren't,
locked so you can be clear on that.

Speaker 7 (43:26):
One, yeah our door's, Open mike, Work, yes we. Will,
sorry would you like to see?

Speaker 3 (43:35):
Him let?

Speaker 10 (43:36):
Nick this is interesting because LIKE i, THINK i think
you gotta let it.

Speaker 7 (43:45):
Happen about what he's gonna, do, WELL.

Speaker 10 (43:49):
I think a safe bed is going to be at
the second level initially like At nickel some dime, reps you,
know but he's going to train to be a safety
to and give us the flexibility they AND i think
IT'S i think it's kind of like offensive line where
you kind of start a guy with an idea and
then see how those three.

Speaker 7 (44:06):
Guys gel and who does what well and the competition at. Linebacker.

Speaker 9 (44:11):
Two what's funny is This the competition.

Speaker 10 (44:13):
Isn't just it's kind of like with like tight, ends, fullbacks,
Receivers like you're not just competing against your personal you,
know your position.

Speaker 7 (44:20):
Group you're competing.

Speaker 10 (44:20):
Against you, know kind of your productivity and how well
you know the unit operates when you're out.

Speaker 7 (44:25):
There so.

Speaker 10 (44:29):
That's kind of where we're gonna let it start and
then we'll see how it evolves as it. Goes but,
uh he's gonna train at safety and then kind of
the same he started, safety kind of go down and
kind of all the same same jobs.

Speaker 7 (44:42):
Found as a combine that you said the outside of the.

Speaker 15 (44:44):
Quarterback safety is probably one of the harder INITIATIVES i
with these days because the tack legs and doff you,
Mentioned why was nick like not a difficult.

Speaker 6 (44:51):
EVA i guess in that, WAY i think WHAT i
meant there was it WHEN i.

Speaker 8 (44:55):
Started oh, yeah WHEN i started scouting like, that that
was the hardest position TO i wait in college because
everyone's just like they're never around the ball and you
have To they didn't have the cutups we, had you,
know it's just.

Speaker 6 (45:06):
Like like the cutups we have.

Speaker 8 (45:08):
NOW i was, like you'll show me you can just
go through stuff is instead of just like literally like
zipping through the game like trying to figure out. It just,
yeah it's it's much easier. Now so that WHAT i
meant by that was like WHEN i. Started but what
it's like about, HIM i, mean besides all the, testing
it was like he's really, tough he's a good.

Speaker 12 (45:28):
Tackler, Yeah, mike, uh are your rookie mini? Camp and
then have that's changed it all from, here.

Speaker 10 (45:37):
You're the first of one last, year what's the plan
for rook communicating from the, well we have more we
have more guys kind of signed up at this, point
you know that we're so it's gonna be really, exciting
but we we loved how last year. WENT i, think
uh kind of a byproduct the whole thing is the
guys understanding like how we're gonna practice, here how to
do it, safe do it the right, way, compete take

(45:58):
care of your, teammates.

Speaker 7 (46:01):
But also get great work in at the same. Time
SO i think that's really.

Speaker 10 (46:04):
Valuable but just to see him out there moving around
and not like it's not like some comprehensive LIKE iq football,
tests like we want him to go play ball and
uh and you, know to get a good feel for
him initially and understand how we're gonna operate, here so
when they come back a week from, then you know

(46:24):
they're in kind of off the, ground, hit hit the,
ground run and sort.

Speaker 15 (46:26):
Of Speak, John, john can you uh The Charles cross
and whether you're gonna do that by the end of the.

Speaker 7 (46:31):
Week is that question you can?

Speaker 6 (46:33):
ANSWER i think we'll have to the second. Right. Yeah,
Yeah today's twenty sixth y.

Speaker 12 (46:39):
The exciting day When free And sy went the way it.
Was what was your plan for the reds and anti
or offensive line or did you meet those goals this?

Speaker 6 (46:51):
Week?

Speaker 8 (46:52):
YEAH i think we talked about it last night and
a little bit or maybe the night. Before but the
group of offensive, linemen like once.

Speaker 6 (46:59):
We got pass The Super.

Speaker 8 (47:01):
Bowl through the, combine you, know speaking with everybody we
need to speak with at the. Combine there was a
couple of guys that we were very interested.

Speaker 3 (47:10):
In but.

Speaker 8 (47:12):
You, know we knew that we could kind of lean
back a little bit just based on you, know picking
eighteen where these guys gonna.

Speaker 6 (47:19):
Go and then so, YEAH i would, say right now
that was probably the going in the. Plan you mean
that that was s Multi.

Speaker 8 (47:27):
YEAH i mean we knew we were gonna we knew
we were gonna address, This, yeah.

Speaker 6 (47:31):
With, multiples not just one such A, UH i would
say one high. Yeah.

Speaker 12 (47:37):
Yeah is there a moment through this whole guy, process,
uh a moment of scout someone standing up calling out
for a. Player that's that sand out to, YOU i
got a, PLAYER i got specific scout to.

Speaker 7 (47:48):
Be under this.

Speaker 6 (47:49):
DRAFT i don't KNOW i WOULD i would have to
say Probably josh's called.

Speaker 8 (47:58):
It to Uh Tory hart and you know we we
had a hard time getting a hold.

Speaker 6 (48:02):
Of, him and he was.

Speaker 8 (48:04):
And then once you got ahold of, him it sounded,
like you, know he was like you like we were
little kids and you're going to your buddy's house to
you're calling your buddy's house to see if like the
mom and like it Was torri, there can you come
out and?

Speaker 6 (48:17):
Play Can tory sleep? Overnight it was kind of. Fun
that was the funniest.

Speaker 8 (48:22):
One we've been through all that stuff that you're talking about,
though like you mean like pounding the table sort of. Stuff,
yeah we were very very clear of you of like
a understanding of who likes you and and then it's
balancing all that and like but it's all about like
where you acquire the player and making people feel Like
i' like we're all in. This we're all in this

(48:43):
thing together and we're like. Rolling it'styn, like here's this,
Player go coach, 'em you know WHAT i. Mean and So,
MIKE i Think mike was an awesome st a job
with his, staff as Does, clinton ad and and uh And.

Speaker 6 (48:55):
Harps but like all of us working, together it's pretty.

Speaker 11 (48:58):
Cool back on The howl, TRADE I i think it's the
first time you guys have dealt somebody or had brought
somebody in as a rostered player getting the dress since
Maybe leon And wendale your first year. Here, well how
how different is it working with a rostered player as
part of a trade during draft weekend when it's going
on how how different a processes that you guys to
kind of figure out what you wanna do and to
manage a.

Speaker 6 (49:16):
Circumstance, again it is.

Speaker 8 (49:18):
Different it's a good question because you have there's like a.
Contingency there has to be some sort of contingency a
little bit there. Too so if if the, player you,
know fails a Physical uh, SO i mean that was
that was that was definitely part of the.

Speaker 6 (49:32):
Discussion good.

Speaker 7 (49:32):
Question, Yeah mike has just been Made gamy And rusid
the wall. Hit, YEAH i THINK i, MEAN i think
you know that by the, question, like.

Speaker 10 (49:43):
UH i think you just you respect that about. 'em
you know about guys you don't run the b ball physically.

Speaker 6 (49:51):
Downhill.

Speaker 10 (49:52):
Uh i've had a lot of great guys to come
through this building that have ran like.

Speaker 7 (49:56):
That so not to those, people but.

Speaker 10 (49:59):
Just, again really excited about the guys we have on
a ross and come in and come kick butt with
the rest of, 'em and it's gonna be a great,
competition you.

Speaker 7 (50:09):
Know but, uh we're really excited about.

Speaker 6 (50:10):
Him marches Said.

Speaker 13 (50:11):
Claire why you guys, Listened, Uh richard as A, Garber
you're saying he's Gonna you're gonna get a shot and.

Speaker 6 (50:15):
Tackle.

Speaker 7 (50:16):
Yeah, yeah what's more? Site?

Speaker 9 (50:18):
Uh?

Speaker 16 (50:18):
Both, Yeah john people fancy pictures Of Julie allen.

Speaker 7 (50:23):
In the drive.

Speaker 6 (50:24):
Room what was herrol this? Weekend what did you but
she had With, yeah she's. Awesome she loves. It you
know what do cause sheh what does she ask her
as HER i don't KNOW i can get any, specifics
BUT i mean she's she's very.

Speaker 8 (50:36):
Interested she's you, know she's she's got a great sense
of humor where she's ask great. Questions she's she's, tough you,
know so, yeah.

Speaker 7 (50:49):
Anything else she gonna ask that. Question what does happen
if the player fails the physical.

Speaker 3 (50:53):
Again that's what does?

Speaker 8 (50:54):
It it's they revert, actually so if that, happens that
the the player reverts back to this the prettiest team,
draft and then you have to decide whether you're gonna you,
know the draft. Picks, yeah there's something like you have
to figure out, like, okay is there a, Player like

(51:14):
what's going to? Happen that's part of the. Negotiations Not
i'd love to be able to share it with.

Speaker 6 (51:19):
YOU i.

Speaker 8 (51:19):
Can't, yeah but what happens if the player goes? Back
and then but if that were to, happen which it.
Won't sam's very healthy young, man but you have to
figure out like, what, okay what's the compensation look like if,
you you, know for the next year if the player
were to?

Speaker 9 (51:37):
Fail all, right thank.
