and the twenty twenty five draft they covered I think
every need except for just pointed out cornerback. That was
the one thing that she was edge. I was getting
to you, Anderson. You couldn't wait, could you?

So cornerback and including Anderson Sadian edge was addressed. So
first round eighteen pick overall, Gray Zabels. They had two
second round picks, Nick Jess's last name em and Worry
and Elijah Arroyo out of Miami. Third round pick Jalen
Millroad Love it fifth round on, Riley Mills fifth round

one sixty six, Tory Horton fifth round one seventy.

Five, Robbie It's.

Sixth round one, Brice Cable Doo seventh round. They had
three picks there, Damian Martinez out of the U and
Mason Richmond out of Iowa State two thirty four, and
Ricky White the third two thirty eight. That's the class.
I don't think they're doing anything else because I've seen
some movement up front, so I am sold that they were.

I mean, the last pick was just taken, so that's
the draft is over.

Out of two hundred and fifty seven picks, the Steahawks
made their last one at two thirty eight over all
in the draft, So they've had the rest of the
draft to prepare for this post press conference that we'll
hear from John and Mike McDonald's. So if it's one
thing if they were picking, you know, the last five
picks of the draft, because then they'd have to make
their calls, they'd have to make some plans, and they'd

still be kind of wrapping up their draft. But they
had pretty much been able to do that for about
the past twenty thirty minutes.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
I like where this roster's headed.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
I'm not going to lie. It's I think they did
a really good job of getting I don't want to
say that. I like where this team is at with
the picks that they brought in. I know they want
to go best player available, and not really so much
as the need exactly. That's been the kind of discussion.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
To me. It's almost as if they've gone need.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
Well, they got the highest rated center that can play guard, right,
and that was who they said that was their guy, right,
if he was gonna be there at eighteen, that was
gonna be something they could take. They got a little
nervous when Booker went off the board at twelve to
the Cowboys, but everything kind of fell into shape, so
their guy was there. I guess we'll never know what
happens if Gray is not there. They still take Nick.

(04:24):
That changed the whole dynamic of the draft right for
the Seahawks. That is so for me based on what
they've said and how the draft has gone, I think
they went best player available to use that guy that
is on top of our board, despite the position of
need which was talked about coming up to this point
in the draft, which was what offensive line the one
thing that has been holding this team back for years,

(04:46):
missing the playoffs the last two years. The offensive line
had a huge part to do with that. We saw
the transformation that the defense made with Mike McDonald and
what he brought to the team and the defense. Okay,
making some trades getting Ernest Jones midseason, you saw what
that did. Now they're looking to do that with the
offensive line, and I think Gray might be that stepping
stone to get this team to where they want to be,

which is back in the playoff hunt with a chance.

To hold Lombardy. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (05:10):
If there's one theme that I can kind of take
away from from the player the halls that they have
in this twenty twenty five draft class, I think it's upside.
There's a lot of guys on here with injury histories.
There's a lot of guys where you may have some
questions whether it's a Jalen Milroe, the QP out of Alabama,
where you know his accuracy is into question, whether it's

(05:32):
someone like Tory Horton in the fifth round where he's
coming off a big injury. Same thing with Riley Mills
the Notre Dame d tackle as well. So there's a
lot of guys where it feels like the Seahawks almost
felt pretty lucky that this type of talent fell to
them where they did, and they're trusting the medical process
to kind of do its thing and make sure that

(05:56):
they are clear to be able to not have any
concerns moving forward. So I'm thinking, I'm thinking a lot
of upside guys on this, on this on this draft class,
and even with the first pick with Gray's abel like
that the tools are all there. He showed out at
the Senior Bowl, Yes, but he played in North Dakota State, right,

(06:18):
so that I mean there's an element of risk there
with a lot of his tape.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
So I brought this up with MJ on the midday
on Friday. If I'm not mistaken, I mentioned the fact, okay,
with Travis Hunter he went to a school HBCU, Right, Okay,
I know the talent there is not what it is
at the at the FBS level right, clearly aware of that.
But if he's the best football player on the field

by a mile, it wasn't close. There were questions coming in,
Oh can you do that at Colorado?

Speaker 1 (06:48):
I don't know?

And what did he do when them both sides of
the football did his thing? Now, I don't know if
Grey's abel was the best athlete every single time in
every game.

You're telling line for sure.

No, I think I think you can. I don't say
I know. I think you flipped on the tape and
you saw this dude launching people all over the place,
getting up field, dominated bowl. That's my point. So if
he does that on tape, it don't matter where or
who are you playing against. You are superior and you're
going to show it. He just happened to be at
North Dakota State and dominating, so so what and like

you mentioned at the Senior Bowl, he did it. It
wasn't an issue against those dudes in the bigger that's
my point. So I really don't. I mean, those are
the guys that lined up against him. He can only
do so much. But like you mentioned, Senior Bowly, dominated.
I think at the next level, just got.

What about the dude, it's a little bit injury history
for you, like, uh, the Elijah Royos, the Riley Mills,
the Tory Horden's.

So that's where it gets.

Okay, it's a risk reward right if you're healthy, Oh
my gosh, this is But if he's not well, then
that history comes up to question. So why would you
take a guy right? Why would you take that risk
knowing the history?

Yeah, I think, especially in the draft, I think a
lot of people fall in love with the upside a
little bit and without thinking about, you know, what it.

Could possibly be.

So I just see a lot of players that, especially
with people that I trust, evaluating. I remember Hu Millan
when he was talking about Elijah Roya, the tight end.
He's like, I didn't even realize this guy was a
tight end. He runs so smoothly and he looks like
the way he runs he's.

Like six to two. But then he comes out he's six'.
Five it's like how.

Speaker 5 (08:25):
He has the, hands he has. Everything the reason he
felt is the auxen you know the late second round
is because of the injury. History, yeah it.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Says this is according to The, beast missed most of
twenty twenty two and twenty twenty three seasons after the Torn. Aco,
yeah so that's a big. Concern but to your point
about a guy that's huge and his, fluid loose athlete
for that, position this is what they wanted out Of
noah fan, right he just couldn't stay. Healthy BECAUSE i
think If Noah fense was healthy throughout the, Season, YEAH

i think he'd be.

Fine Riley mills also at a TORN. Acl so they're
taking dudes where they think that they're trusting that they're
gonna be the same football players that they showed.

Before it's also not in the. Draft they also Signed Cooper. Cup,
YEAH i guy that has been banged up the last few. Seasons,
yeah AND i found out the hard way because of fantasy. Purpose,
yeah that's a hard. Breaker took that dude in the first.

Someone but to your, Point, anderson that's the risk. Reward,
yeah that's kind of are you gonna worry about his
history all, together or are you're gonna just say it's
a football. PLAYER i love WHAT i see on. Tape
this guy can help the. Offense, yeah we're gonna take.

Yeah, WELL i mean so rarely do you get the
combination of a really good football player with only, upside no,
downside out a position of. Need usually one of those
three things are are not going to be, there Right
and you, know maybe the first round, Pick Gray, label
you could, say, okay that that all the three things,
happened which is why he ended up being their first round,
pick but even their their second pick nick Emmn, Wori,

LIKE i don't think safety was the biggest position in
Neat you Got kobe And Julian love there right. Now
but he's a really good football player with no, downside
a ton of upside that they had to take the
shot on, that and then you start kind of doing other.
Things you go down the list and there's a lot
of those guys you could say the same thing.

Yeah Julian love signed that extension through twenty twenty, Seven
SO i understand the safety, part to be, honest just
because as you, said it's a three year WAS i

what The seahawks have. Done, YEP i could. Be i'll

be stunned to see if someone was, like, oh they

can only imagine probably a few people out, there BUT
i MEAN i remember having a similar feeling after last
year's draft, too and similar as to the feeling you
have now with a great haul or.

No, yeah just, like, OH i feel pretty good about
this like these these, Guys LIKE i, said it's it's
so hard to tell at this early. Stage oh, yeah
quite every every team says they get exactly the player
they were all hoping, for, like, oh we had them
so much higher on our, board and like it's just
it's just how it. Goes you're gonna be hyped about
the players that you. Get adding players of your team
is always an exciting part of building AN nfl. Roster

SO i will have to see about how all these
guys pan. Out BUT i like the kind OF i
don't want to say risk because like kind of what
we talked about with upside injury, history all that kind of,
Stuff BUT i like that they're kind of shooting for
the stars a little. Bit they believe, that you, know
they needed to get a little bit more. PHYSICAL i
think a physicality factor really played into this this draft

process for for The, seahawks AND i like WHAT i
see so. Far so it will be interesting to see
how how many of these guys make an impact and year,
one probably two or three guys to Be, yeah it's
it's it's always like you always just look at these
traits and you kind of picture them on the football,
field but then you realize that there's you know, what
fifty other guys that are already part of the roster

that can are gonna have bigger roles than a lot
of these guys. Already So i'm interested to see kind
of you know What john And mike say about this
hall and, uh you, know we'll kind of take, it
uh you, know minute by minute as we wait for
them to hop up on the.

Podium i'm, curious who do you think will have an
impact this.

SEASON i, mean, obviously if you're gonna pick guard first,
round you expect him to play right.

Guarantee, YEAH i, mean especially Losing Anthony, bradford he seems
like you're plug and play left guard at this point in,
time so That but the One I'M i kind of
am looking forward to the most Is Elijah. ROYO i
know a lot of people are hyped About Nick Kevin
warrey as, WELL i as. WELL I i can't wait
to see those physical traits play out onto the, field
and the fact that you got him in the second

round is. Huge BUT i want to see if A
Elijah royal is truly healthy and be if he's gonna
be that difference maker at the tight end position that
we haven't seen. SOMETIME i think that'll be huge for
whoever's playing, quarterback Probably Sam darnold this. Year uh if
he is that type of, guy because he seems like
to me like a pretty uh standard pass catching tight.
End he's not gonna do a ton of block in
WHICH i think is one of the reasons why they
