Speaker 1 (00:00):
Will they go on a second date or will must
be the last time they ever talked?

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Kiss in the morning Second date update.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
I'm kiss ninety five seven. All right, are you guys
ready for a little second date update?

Speaker 3 (00:11):
Yes, all right, today we're going to Cromwell, we have
got Rich on the line.

Speaker 4 (00:16):
Good morning Rich, Hi, good morning Hey.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
So obviously you know second date update. You apparently went
on a great first date. You were getting ghosted and
you want to know why?

Speaker 4 (00:25):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Okay, so the producer says, you went out with a
girl named Lauren.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Tell me about this great date.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
Yeah, so my friends actually sent me up with Floren. Uh,
you know, I live in the city, but my my friends,
I'm from here in Connecticut. So my friends sent me
up with this girl from home, and they said she was,
you know, an absolute perfect match. So I made the
track and I you know, offered to take her out
around here. So I came back and we met at

(00:54):
a restaurant, and I mean it was a great time.
It was a really good time. You know, she was funny,
she's really smart. Okay, I mean she's definitely really hot.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Okay, that's good.

Speaker 4 (01:06):
Beautiful, Yeah, yeah, no, she was like beautiful all around.
I had a really good time. I thought she had
a really good time. So after you know, it ended
and I reached out to her for a second date.

Speaker 5 (01:18):
No answer.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
All right, so you're getting ghosted.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Basically, you thought the date was great, you you felt
a connection. You thought she was hot. I mean, did
you make her laugh? Did she seem comfortable?

Speaker 4 (01:28):
Yeah, I mean she seemed I mean I thought so
that was my perspective of things, you know. So okay,
I mean I thought it was a good date.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
I feel like it's a straightforward kind of date. So
why don't we just call her? Yes, all right, Rich,
I'm gonna put you on hold. You're gonna be listening in.

Speaker 1 (01:43):
We're gonna call up Lauren.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
I'm gonna ask her to be honest, and you can
feel free to jump in at anytime.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Okay, yep, sounds good.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
Hold on, sounds like a great guy.

Speaker 6 (01:50):
I know.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
You know what's so funny is I feel like when
you're set up, it's actually better because your friends know you.
Like I was set up, and that's why my husband,
Oh look stopped, he's a very lucky Hi.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
Is this Lauren? Yes, hey, Lauren, it is Courtney Lauren,
it's Walmart Jeff.

Speaker 6 (02:07):
Hey, Lauren, it's Savannah Hei.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
You're on the radio. Hi, Hey, all right, listen.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
I'm gonna just be honest, and I want you to
be honest with us as well.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
You are on second date update.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
So apparently you went on a first date and it
was fabulous and you are ghosting somebody.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
And that's somebody you're ghosting is Rich.

Speaker 5 (02:26):
Oh boy, Yeah, okay, I did.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
All right.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
So I just I mean, obviously you're familiar with the show.
We just want you to be honest. Rich Rich called us.
He said the date was fabulous. He came in from
the city to take you to dinner. He's I think
he said she's hot, smoking hot.

Speaker 6 (02:44):
Definitely, he definitely said smoking.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Okay, and he had a great He's reached out to
you a couple times. He thought the date was great.
Now you're ghosting him. Why are you ghosting him?

Speaker 2 (02:55):
So?

Speaker 5 (02:55):
I don't know if he told you this. He probably didn't, okay,
because I guess I wouldn't vivoit with him. But before
he came to meet me. On his way to come
get me, he stopped at his parents' house and his
mom was cooking dinner. And he ate dinner there. Before
the date, he like was raving about his mom's food
and how it's like so delicious, and so by the

(03:18):
time he got to the restaurant, he wasn't hungry, and
so I sat there eating a meal by myself. Oh
and it was Yeah, it was weird. The vibes were
weird because he was just kept talking about his mom
and like, listen, I love a guy who like loves
his family, Like that's actually pretty important to me. But
it was. It was to the point where, you know,

(03:38):
it felt like he was dating her and me. I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Wait, but if he wanted to have dinner at his
mom's and why wouldn't he like invite you to drinks
and like just not dinner, Like that doesn't make sense.

Speaker 5 (03:49):
Yeah, I don't know. I agree, that's yeah, So he
did weird.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
You're telling me, Lauren, he didn't eat anything like he
should have at least faked it and ate something. You
sat by yourself, ate dinner, and all he did was
talk about his mother.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
Yeah, although might like total mama's boy. And I've had
experiences in the past, and it's kind of a red
flag for me at this point because of how many.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
All right, well, listen, I want to bring rich in.
Rich are you listening? Are you a mama's boy?

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Did you make her sit and eat dinner all by herself?

Speaker 4 (04:18):
But first of all, I mean, yes, I love my
mother very much. I think that should be a huge
green flag. But besides that point, I mean, it's not
like I intended to, you know, go home and eat
a full meal and then go on to state. I
just happened to go home and my mom's cooking, and
I rarely go home, I like rarely get to go home,
and it just smelt so good. And my mother is

(04:38):
such a good cook, and so I ate dinner. And
she was really happy, and me and my mother really happy.
And you know, I feel like at this age we
should prioritize think our parents happy sometimes, right, so I.

Speaker 5 (04:49):
Would prioritize making myself happy at this age, I feel
like I don't know, I mean, I remember things.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
I mean, honestly, it was a little shocking me here,
Like you want somebody who's like mean to their mom.
I mean, I wonder how well that will work out
for you?

Speaker 2 (05:03):
Wait, hold on, hold on, Rich There's like a big
difference between being like a family kind of guy, which
is wonderful.

Speaker 6 (05:10):
Like being a family guy is wonderful.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (05:12):
But when you're like an od mama's boy and it's
like intrusive into the relationship, that causes issues in itself.
I mean, I'm not a therapist, but that's just my
two cents.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
I mean, I don't know I would like I said,
I wouldn't call myself mama's way, but yeah, I love
my mom.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Said Rich, Rich, we can't fall No, but he's a
mama's boy. Rich. You came in all the way from
this city.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
And my guess is Lauren uh spent time on what
she was gonna wear, maybe her makeup. She probably didn't
have a lot to eat that day. She was gonna
go to dinner with you and sit and chat and eat,
And she sat and ate dinner by herself as a
single woman. I'm sure Lauren, you felt I should have
just stayed home, had dinner by myself, me and the dog.
Because you're sitting there eating by yourself at a restaurant.

Speaker 5 (05:57):
Yeah, you know how awkward it is to just slurp
up spaghetti. Yea's the only one eating.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Yeah, it's weird. It's weird. Okay, it's kind of sexy
if you really think about it.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
Listen, Lauren, would you consider going on a second day
you guys, if I paid for.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
It and we'd like not have the food.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
No, I'm sorry, I don't think I'm interested in the
second date?

Speaker 1 (06:15):
All right, all right, well listen, Rich tell you mom
we said hi.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
I will. Yeah, nothing I could do about that.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
I'm sure she's fabulous and she's a great cook. Yeah,
all right, Well listen.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
It's not a love match, obviously, but I appreciate both
of you guys being on second date.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Update. I appreciate you.

Speaker 3 (06:30):
Both being very honest too, and I hope you have
a fabulous day.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
